Chapter 14:

"-Entry Log 154: Dear Diary, things have been going swimmingly for Division 9. While I was away, I -*static* -mbled upon this strange little building. There wasn't much to this place beside it being a small bunk- *static* in the middle of *static* - strange carragies outside. I opened a door that someone had tried writing 'Help' on it. I found this box that seemed to glow a brilliant blue light! I managed to open it and saw a bunch of weapons I recognized as well as a bunch of others. I had no clue what they did. I got sent to another place not too long after. It was so dark, but I recognized it as a theater. The technology I uncovered there was-"

" -Entry Log 158: Dear Diary, I've been thinking of going further into human experimentation with 115 and the possibilities of favor mutations. My work in figuring my way back to that box has stalled. I will find my way back there, I must! The technologically advanced weaponry in that *static* must be furthered explored but for now, I've been thinking. If fusing 115 with certain ingredients, can turn soldier pills into more? How would it affect certain people, or should I say kekkei genkai users. Kukukuku, now that's an interesting thought indeed!"

Present:

The corpse of Zabuza raised his sword and roared an inhumane roar that echoed throught the area. The horde immediately started running, and running fast for a bunch of decayed limps moving. "Alright we gotta move, now! We'll figure out what the hell is going on later right now survival is all that matters!" Kakashi shouted at his genin making them stand at attention. "Satsuki, Sakura, I know I haven't taught you much but what you do know should be enough! Your two can and will survive you got that!" This seemed to have they effect Kakashi wanted as it seemed to boost their morale a bit. Before he could continue the sounds of glass windows being broken and the sounds banging on the doors thar were quickly torn down. "Quickly, now!" Haku yelled as the undead horde had already flooded the downstairs area. They pushed and shoved each other to get up the stairs. Kakashi quickly stood at the end of the stairs and went through a couple of hand signs.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Kakashi let out a massive fireball that decimated the ones the had gotten close and set the ones to far away on fire zlowing their advance but with every corpse that fall 2 more took it's place. Kakashi ran out of breath causing the fireball to dissipate, leaving behind a burned and destroyed stair case. That didn't stop their advance so Haku threw an explosive tag at them causing limbs and corpses to fly everywhere. Seeing this Sakura took out an explosive tag and set it on the wall. Satsuki saw this and shouted a warning towards the two, "Brace yourselves!" The explosion rocked the house and a new exit was created. "OUT NOW!" Sakura shouted, her only objective was to run towards the docks and hop there is still a way off the land of the wave. 'I-I guess that's one good thing about failing this mission... the possibility of this.. infection spreading...' She thought to herself. They jumped across rooftops, avoiding the horde below them. A few of them were waiting for them on roofs, but we're quickly dispatched via kunai, explosive tags, or their newfound weapon. However, just as it seemed that they would be relatively safe jumping from roof to roof, a dense mist rolled in over the entire area.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

Everyone froze at the sound of the demonic laughter that echoed everywhere. Everyone immediately formed up, so their backs were to each other, covering all their lines of sight. "What's happening?" Sakura clutched her kunai tightly in one hand as she asked. Her other hand was low as her Colt 1911 felt heavy in he hands. There are so many questions that she didn't know if she would get answers to. Where did this come from? What are these creatures that chased them down with what seems like an infinite hunger? The most important one. was, where's Naruto?

Satsuki's eyes immediately flashed into her Sharingans and started scanning the area immediately. This is a nightmare. Nothing like the glamorous stories her parents told her about gaining their ranks and fighting alongside each other during the exams making a name for yourselves. Nothing like the cool stories Itachi, Shisui, and Hinata told her about how they would infiltrate enemy bases and sometimes dress up to sneak around. This was something else entirely. Her heartbeat ringing in her ear. She took deep breaths to calm herself, 'Focus on survival and once you get you hands on that idiot I'll kill him myself for disappearing like that!' However she then noticed a faint glow in the mist. "You guys see that glowing light,?" Everyone looked for what she was talking about. They saw nothing that seemed to be glowing before she spoke again. "It's like a giant beac- DUCK!"

Everyone dropped to floor just in time to see the Kubikiribōchō fly over them before disappearing into the mist once again. She looked up just in time to see a turned Zabuza Momochi charging at them while screaming. He attacked the closest one to him which turned out to be Haku. He fall back holding back an undead Zabuza that was attempting to eat him. Haku raised his weapon but hesitated. Memories flashed before his eyes. The first time he met his master, the first jutsu he was successfully use, even when he first attempted to lift the Kubikiribōchō. Now his decayed face attempted to eat him alive. Kakashi stabbed Zabuza causing him to disperse into water, drenching them both. "You still with us?" He didn't get an answer as 3 more Zabuza's appeared each targeting a different ninja. Sakura fell back and curled up causing the Zabuza to stumble over her and bump into the one that charged Satsuki. The Uchiha threw a kunai at each of them causing them to explode into water. The one that charged Kakashi didn't go for a grab instead it grabbed its sword and swung it towards him. It was easily read by Kakashi who dodged it and was met with a swipe. Kakashi flinched but managed to use the M14 to smack the clone then shoot it causing it to disperse.

"INCOMING!" Kakashi yelled as 4 more undead water clones attacked this time with the sword the each carried. Fortunately, it seems that being a decaying corpse swinging a sword twice your size made the swings sloppy and predictable. However they were still fast and held a lot of power with each swing. Sakura rolled away while Satsuki used her new found Sharingan to predict the swing and counter by stabbing the clone. She pointed her new weapon at the clone attacking Zabuza and followed Kakashi's instructions on how to operate it.

BANG

Satsuki flinched at the recoil, it was heavy than it looked. The clone flew back from the impact instantly turning water. "Thank you." Sakura mumbled as they both turned to see Haku and Kakashi dispatch their clones. "Look!" Haku pointed towards another part in the fog to see Zabuza again, this time only one appeared. "You think this is the original?" Satsuki asked the boy that used to be her enemy. Haku's gaze never left the walking corpse. "Something tells me he is." He said shakily. He didn't think he was ready to face his master. Especially now that he was rotting in real time I'm front of him. They stared at each other before Stasuki quickly aimed and fired her Colt at Zabuza who dodged the shots easily. The corpse slowly stood upright and tilted it's head. It's jas biting the air and his glowing red eyes bore into them. Everyone stared at it amazed, it seems being turned didn't take away all their ninja abilities. Kakashi snapped out of his shock before he aimed and fired at Zabuza who dodged each shot that head towards him.

*click click click*

The sound of Kakashi's M14 rang out to indicate that it had ran out of ammunition. Before he could reload, the corpse of Zabuza appeared in front of him and slapped the gun out of his hand before it attempted to bite him. Kakashi held him back by holding it's jaw open, preventing it from biting down on him. Satsuki pointed her weapon and heard the same clicking sound from her weapon. She reached for her kunai and found that she had none left over. She looked over to see that Haku was still frozen in place 'Grr he's no good.' She looked towards her only option for his last hope. "Sakura do something!" The pink haired girl whimpered and reached for her Colt and aimed with both hands. She pointed it at the undead Zabuza. She clenched her eyes shut and pulled the trigger miraculously hitting her target. Zabuza flinched and whipped his body towards Sakura. The girl panicked as it charged towards her, intending on making her it's next meal.

*BOOM BOOM*

Zabuza's torse exploded and his left arm was eviscerated. It fell to the ground at Sakura's feet causing the girl to scramble away in horror. Kakashi and Satsuki's eyes darted towards Haku who was aiming his weapon at the corpse with tears in his eyes. His Olympia smoking from the tip of the barrel. Sakura gulped and muttered out a small thank you. After a few seconds of silence the mist began to lift. "That's a good sign." Kakashi stated as he approached the boy. "I'm sorry about this... I'm not sure anyone could understand what you're going through. But if it's any consultation, Zabuza died at the bridge. Whatever this...is, it wasn't him."

Kakashi didn't know why he was trying to comfort the kid, or even letting him tag along. He's still technically the enemy. However he couldn't bring himself to let him fend for himself, especially with what's going on. "I-I know that. It's just.. watching him die then afterwards having to put him down again..." he trailed of as Kakashi squeezed his shoulder in a comforting manner.

Satsuki crouched in front of Sakura who was still curled up crying, the Colt laying on the floor next to her smoking from the shot. "Hey, you ok?" She didn't know if she was asking Sakura or herself at this point. "I just want to go home" she sobbed out. The Uchiha hugged the pinkette trying to comfort her. "I just want to find Naruto and go home" Sakura continued. Satsuki nodded at that statement. Just where the hell did he disappear to? A hum and a green glow got everyone's attention. Above Zabuza's body was a golden glowing kunai pouch slowly rotating in place. "I...I've seen this before." Everyone looked at him expecting an answer. "When Ma...Zabuza and I were escaping Gatous mansion one of these appeared, they refilled all of our weapons. Kunai, senbon, paper bombs, and even these" he gestured towards his Olympia. "Not sure how it does it and it only gives you back what you already had." Haku finished off. Team 7 looked at each other before Kakashi slowly reached out for it. As soon as his hand touched the pouch, it disappeared and they heard the same demonic voice that laughed earlier.

"MAX AMMO!"

Kakashi checked his kunai pouch and sure enough all his previously spent kunai had reappeared in. Not more than he packed like the boy said, making him wish he brought more paper bombs. He only brought 4 and sure enough only 4 appeared.as he looked down at his kunai pouch he noticed something else on the floor in his peripheral vision. His eyes widen and he was instantly on alert. "Where is he!?" Everyone looked at the whote haired nin as if he was crazy before they followed his gaze, and they too started to panic. For instead of the corpse of Zabuza on the floor it was just a destroyed wooden log.

"Help, somebody help!" A woman yelled as she ran from the horde the was slowly stumbling towards her. She continued running, ducking into an alleyway she looked behind her as she ran to see how much distance she had. It wasn't much. She unceremoniously ran into a wall and fell back. Her eyes widen in horror at the building infront of her. An unearthly growl was heard behind her. "No..." She gasped, slowly turning around only to get slapped back down to the floor. "NO, NO, NOOOO!" She screamed in absolute terror as multiple pair of hands held her down. Her screams of terror turned to screams of pain as the hands started to dig into her flesh. Pulling out muscles and tendon before feasting on them. Some started on her arms and legs, gnawing at the flesh reaching the bone. She continued to scream and cry for help as the undead tore her flesh and continued to feast on her body. They clawed at her torso. Not a single one of the undead went for a kill. Whether it was intentional or not, they didn't kill her immediately causing her suffering to be dragged out. Suddenly a flurry of chains impaled each on of the corpse before they were lifted up and slammed into the ground and wall, stunning them.

"So this is were the party is at! Ooohhh I can't wait to tear the flesh from your bones!" An orange clad boy landed in the middle of the horde before he pulled out kunai and some small metal object that he pointed at the horde.

Ratatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatata*

He fired and a bunch of shots rang out from the barrel. He let go of the trigger before stabbing a corpse in the head, killing it once more for good. He continued firing the rapid firing machine before it stopped amd just started clicking. A scream of disgust was heard from the boy before he threw it at another undead, causing it to fall back. Another kunai appeared in his now empty jand before the boy went on a rampage. Slicing and stabbing all who approached him. Blood red chains appeared from his back before it started to stab into multiple corpses and reeling them back into the boy, who would take great pleasure in dismembering them by hand. "The blood! THE BEAUTIFUL BLOOD!" Soon enough all the woman's pursuers were dead. However she wasn't in the best shape. "H-help...p-p-p-please! The boy turned to look at her and she finally got a good look at him. He had a wide smile with sharp canines making it all the more unsettling. His glowing slit red eyes bore into her and she regretted begging for help. Once he took notice of her, his smile somehow got wider. " Awwww I'm sorry I didn't make it in time!" He started walking towards her. Her breathing intensified as he walk closer. And crouched to be face to face.

"Shhhhh, do you hear them?" Tears ran down her eyes from both fear and pain "Huh? No, no she's not a friend? I agree with you. Hehehehehehehe" The boy grabbed her by the hair lifting her up causing her to scream once more from the pain. Separating her from the lower half of her torso, her vision slowly fading "She's better off dead!" Two blood red chakra chains emerged from his back and stabbed into the remains of the woman. She screamed one last time before a pulse of chakra ran through the chains into her body, resulting in her body exploding.

Naruto chuckled as the poor woman expolded sending blood everywhere, covering him in blood. He stared at the remains before he kicked a bone. He clenched his fist in frustration. He looked around before shouting "Where's the rest I'm not done!" The area was suddenly covered in mist. He studied his surroundings before he hard a demonic laugh.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

Naruto looked confused for a few seconds before he smiled crazily. "Hoho, now this ought to be a great time!"
