Chapter 16:

"-Entry Log 165: Dear Diary, I've done it! Kukukuku, I've managed to convince the Hokage to improve my funding for Division. Because of this, I'm able to expand into more branches research. One of the main priorities is an undead army due to rumors of *static* -llage supposedly also looking into the research of Element 115. I'm not sure how they found a supply of the element, but no matter. I've gotten more research and funding so I can expand on other projects I've been working on. I've had ideas for a new weapon that was inspired by-

"-Entry Log 168: Dear Diary, I've met my new crew a couple of days ago, and they're all doing fantastic work. However, ever since I've returned from - *static* -ave been hearing...them. They say such insane ideas that have piqued my interest. I'm not sure if I should trust them. Anyways I've made a reconnection to the mainframe at the theater! I've decided to take Anko with me. She's been by my side since Division 9 first started, I would trust no one else with this. I've come to see her as a daughter. I'll have to find a way to repay her.

"Heh , pardon me for dropping in uninvited!"

Naruto said to the four in front of him. The sight of him caused everyone to state at him in shock. He was almost completely covered in blood. It was almost as if he bathed in it. It was then they noticed the blood red chains slowly retracting into his body. Before they could speak, the blonde spoke again.

"What can she see? What are you talking about!? What? The snake? What do you mean they're trapped!? WHO!?" Naruto grabbed his head, trying to make sense of the voices he heard. So much information, both useful and menial, he didn't know which was which. He clenched his eye shut and covered his eats in an attempt to dampen the volume. The others saw him and were concerned. The girls were worried about him, wondering what was happening to him. Haku stated at him in confusion and slowly aimed his rifle towards the orange clad ninja. Kakashi started fearing the worst as he had seen the look in the eyes before. The same look that nearly cost him his life. Desperation, fear, confusion, and regret. Before anything could happen, his raven haired student spoke.

"Naruto?" Said ninja head snapped in her direction, and he stated. He studied her looking for signs of fear or malice. However, he only saw concern. It made him confused. Why isn't she scared? Did he want her to be? He closed his eyes, taking in deep breaths.

"Come on still more fun to be had!" "She's so pretty!" "Tear off her skin!" "Find the portal" "He's lying to you." "Find the element!" "The MPD has to be used!" "Beware the DOCTOR!"

"SHUT UP!"

*SLAP*

Naruto's whole body jerked because of the motion. The voices were gone. It was so quiet, almost unimaginable! 'No, no. I.. I was? What was I doing? Where am I? So...so much blood,' Naruto thought to himself as he took in his surroundings. He looked up and saw the faces of his friends, one showing worry. The other anger.

"Where were you!? Do you have any idea how scared I was! I thought you died!" Satsuki yelled at him and punched his chest. Her eyes were tearing up. He looked over at Sakura. She also had tears running down her cheeks.

"I'm sorry... I-I-I-I don't know what got over me." He let it happen again. He let himself over indulge in the carnage. He left them to go on a killing spree. Naruto wrapped his arms around the Uchiha and buried his face in her neck. He cried as he remembered what he did. He watched as multiple people died. All of them begging for help. All of them being torn apart from the undead. There were so many he could've saved, but he just watched!

"I'm so sorry!" He nearly broke down. However, Kakashi interrupted. "Alright, everyone, listen up! I'm not sure what happened to the Land of Waves. However, we can clearly see that it is a very dangerous place! First, we need a way off these islands." He said in a serious tone. It was odd for Team 7 as they usually saw him in a relaxed manner. They assumed he was lazy, but it seems that when push comes to shove, he can step up to his rank of Jonin.

Haku stepped forward and gave a route, "The docks! They were controlled by Gatou before. However, I'm sure that won't be an issue now." Kakashi nodded his head at the young man.

"Right, so we get to the docks, get a boat, and leave." A solid plan, however one thought of a simpler one. "What if we ran across the water! We don't need a boat!" The pinkette suggested but got a hard look in return.

"Can YOU run across the open water fighting WAVES possible typhoons while maintaining precise chakra control for 8 hours on foot!" Kakashi yelled at his students, who dropped her head in shame once she realized that they had just started and weren't ready to run across the water. He sighed. "Look, it wasn't a bad plan. It's just that you barely learned it. You won't be able to cross that trip on foot." He didn't like making her feel like an idiot but she needed to know.

"So go to the docks, get a boat, and leave the island!" He stated everyone nodded in agreement, although Naruto seemed hesitant. "Alright, I suggest we each grab a weapon from the box! I'm not sure how it works, but I know it has weapons!" Kakashi stated. Haku walked over to the box and opened it. The same jingle played as it cycled through both familiar weapons and unfamiliar ones. It stopped on a long barreled weapon. Haku took and looked for the engraving to tell him what it was. 'Spas-12' was carved into it. He grabbed what seemed to be a pump and cocked it. He wasn't familiar with the weapon, but he knew some had to be pulled back to start firing.

"Satsuki, your turn."

"But -"

"NOW!" He shouted, causing Satsuki to reluctantly release her teammate and go to the box. He approached the blonde and spoke, "How are you holding up?"

"I killed them...and I...I enjoyed it." He finished in a harsh whisper. Naruto looked at his blood covered hands. "I'm a monster!" He finished, ashamed with himself. Kakashi looked at his student before he looked up and saw the Uchiha holding two weapons in each hand. He gestured towards Sakura, who seemed nervous as she approached. He looked back at his blond student.

"Look, Naruto, you're not a monster. I'm pretty sure based on what was happening, they were already dead... kind of... nobody is perfect. Everyone has flaws . This is one of yours! It may be harder for you since when you were taken, you were made to feel that this is normal. You're not a monster. Just a victim..." he finished. Sakura had gotten herself a large weapon. Kakshi placed a hand on his students shoulder and gave it a light squeeze. Naruto looked up at his teacher. The speech was doing its job in snapping out of it. However, before he could, a familiar mist rolled around.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

A familiar distorted demonic laugh rang out. Kakashi immediately put his students behind him in a defensive manner. 'Damn, so he did come back after all!'

He didn't get much time to ponder as Zabuza appeared once more from the mist and punched him square in the face hard enough to send him flying back. Sakura aimed her weapon at the corpse only for another Zabuza to appear and kick the back off her knee. Sakura collapsed and was rewarded with a kick in the chin for her efforts. Satsuki didn't have time to react as another Zabuza dropped from the roof and slammed her into the ground. Haku aimed at his former master before another Zabuza clone kicked him in the back, causing him to fall forward. Naruto immediately had purple chakra chains burst out of his body in all directions, destroying the clone that attempted his attack and nearly piercing his teammates as well. The chains retracted, and the blonde had a look of rage on his face. He aimed his weapon and fired rapidly at the clones, causing them to jump away. Some got out of the way, but most were destroyed.

"Naruto!" Satsuki yelled, causing him to hold his fire. He looked over at her and got kicked in the back via a water clone. Satsuki sent a flurry of kunai at the clone who responded by using his weapon as a shield before throwing it at her. She took herself to the ground while the blade flew by her head into the glowing myster box. However, instead of it being embedded into the wooden box, the blade bounced off of it and was sent flying back to the clone. The clone caught the sword, causing it to stumble due to the momentum.

*BANG BANG*

Satsuki shot twice at the Zabuza clone, destroying it. Haku was holding back the clone, attempting to bite into his face. He kicked the left leg, causing the clone to stumble. This was enough for Haku to throw him off. He aimed his new 'Spas-12' and pulled the trigger. An explosion of water signaled the death of the clone. Haku spun his body and shot at the one on top of Sakura. She coughed up the water she accidentally inhaled when the clone exploded. Haku turned once more to find Kakashi throwing the clone over his shoulder before stabbing it in the head with a kunai, destroying it.

"Everyone ok?" Kakashi yelled only to get a knee to his gut via the undead Zabuza. It dropped an elbow, causing him to fall to the ground.

*RATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA*

Sakura was firing at Zabuza, trying her hardest to control the stability of the rapid firing 'AK-74u'. She might not have landed a hit, but it she accomplished what she wanted. The undead Zabuza stopped his assault on Kakashi and dodged the gunfire headed towards him. Satsuki, seeing this, went through a series of hand signs and let out a fireball. Avoiding the gunfire, the corpse got hit directly by the fireball, sending him flying back. There is no explosion of water. The corpse rushed them, parts of his body still on fire as a charge. Naruto, seeing this, placed his hands on the floor, sending a bunch of chains to intercept. Zabuza jumped back to avoid the only to get kicked into them by Kakashi, who had recovered and saw his opportunity.

"Gotcha!" Naruto said with a sadistic smile. The chains wrapped around the limbs of the corpse. Slowly. Naruto started to expand his arms, causing the chains to slowly tear apart Zabuza. The undead Zabuza was screaming, not in pain but more in anger. It was brutal to watch. Especially for the 2 girls who looked at each other, unsure of what to make of their friends' newfound brutality. Soon enough, the chains tore apart the corpse, causing a golden kunai pouch to appear along with mist slowly vanishing. Naruto approached the pouch and reached out.

"MAX AMMO"

Just like before, the pouch disappeared, and when they checked their supplies, all weapons had been restocked. "Well, back to arming up. Satsuki." The Uchiha nodded and opened the mystery box. The familiar jingle was played until it stopped on 2 weapons. This confused Satsuki since she didn't think she could get 2 weapons from the box. She grabbed them. They were heavier than they looked. She found the engraving named the weapons. "MAC11s? Guess we'll see how these do." She muttered to herself. Kakashi motioned for Naruto to take his turn. He approached the box. For a second, he saw a flash of a memory. Another box this time shaped more like a chest, with spikes along the top, floating above fire, and with an eerie red glow. He shook his head of the memory and opened it. The box cycled through the weapons and landed on a weapon. This time looked fake. Its body was a bright red and had a round tube with rings on it. What seemed to be a gage on the left of it. It seemed more like a toy than a deadly weapon the others got. However, Naruto seemed very familiar with it. That was a concern in itself.

*briip chuuuuu*

Naruto readied his weapon, pointed at a wall, and fired. A green laser fired out with green rings around it. It hit the wall and instantly exploded. Naruto looked at the gun and laughed. We'll I haven't seen this since..." he trailed off. "Anyways sensei your turn." Kakashi shook off the shock at seeing well, I guess it is. He opened the box, and the jingle played. However, this time, it was interrupted by a sharp rift and a giggle of a little girl. Instead of a weapon, it was a stuffed bear, covered in blood and missing a button eye. It floated away, and the girls giggling became an unhinged demonic laugh.

"BYE BYE!"

The box closed itself and started to levitate. It started spinning slowly before it spread up and shot up into the sky following the teddy bear. The group started at the clouds that the box had disappeared into. Everyone looked at each other, confused. "That's odd. Well, it doesn't matter. Everyone has a weapon? Good! I have enough kunai and chakra to keep myself alive."

"There's also the chance of finding a chalk drawing to help you." Haku chimed in. Kakashi nodded. With one final check to make sure everyone was ready, they headed towards the docks. As they walked, they noticed a flash of lightning and a familiar blue beacon.

"WRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH"

The group grabbed their weapons and prepared for another fight against a seemingly endless foe.

I actually finished this chapter like 4 times but the app keeps deleting it or putting it all into one big paragraph. Puts the whole thing in italics or bold or sometimes both. I hate the way it bugs out like that. anyways tell me what you think. Like it? Hate it? any tips to help me improve? Anyways i dont own Naruto or COD:Zombies.
