It was a new day for the Autobots and there still has yet to be any Decepticon activity's since Megatrons demise at the space bridge, but that Doesn't mean they won't be ready for whenever the cons do act.
At the Autobots base currently, Optimus prime was staring off into a large hole, in deep thought about all that had transpired a week ago.
Ratchet noticed this and thought he might say something." Optimus, why so glum? We and all sentient beings are free from Megatrons tyranny." Ratchet said, attempting to cheer up Optimus by reminding him of Megatrons demise.
Optimus sighs slightly." I do not disagree old friend, but a part of me wished the outcome could have been different with Megatrons mind changing and not his spark extinguished." Said Optimus. Seems like the prime is regretting what had happened on that space bridge and is blaming himself personally.
Ratchet couldn't believe what he was hearing, actually scratch that, Ratchet does believe what he's hearing since it is Optimus after all." Megatron was not slain by your own hand Optimus, but by his own twisted arrogance!" Stated Ratchet.
The docs words discomforted the prime and he caught that immediately." Sorry, I know you two have history." Ratchet said.
"Though we were like brothers once, the megatron I once knew has been gone for eons the moment he created the Decepticons." Said Optimus, knowing that the megatron now or was is not the same one all those many years ago.
Before more could be said, a loud noise went off and a bunch of smoke filled a small area of the room." We're under attack!" Said Ratchet, thinking the cons have someone located them and breached the Base.
Optimus and Ratchet quickly run over to the smoke, but soon discovered that it was no attack but Bee and raf with a paper mache Volcano." We're not under attack Ratchet, it's just my Volcano." Said Raf, coughing a bit from all the smoke.
The Volcano began to melt down, all that hard work now down the drain." I think you mean was Raf!" Shouted Miko from a bit away from Bee and Raf with Hound, working on her own project.
Ratchet looked over and saw that Miko and Hound were making a model of earths solar system." Hold it steady hound, I need to put the big dot on Saturn." Said Miko, painting the planet model.
"Hey I'm only steady when it comes to holding guns." Joked Hound as he keeps the model planets steady as he can.
Ratchet then looked over and spotted Cayde all alone, working on something that looks way more advanced than what the other two are working on."And what are you working on?" Asked Ratchet, more interested and curious than grumpy.
Cayde pulled off his goggles and looked over at Ratchet." Hologram disk." Said Cayde as he puts the goggles back on and went back to work on the disk.
Ratchet was surprised by this and then looked over at the other humans who just shrugged at him." If he says he can do it then I believe him." Said Miko as she painted the big red dot on Jupiter.
Ratchet decided against complaining about the teens projects, but instead becoming interested in them, well Caydes really." I see..."
Optimus looked at his old friend and then at the others for a bit before looking back at Ratchet." Perhaps you could assist Cayde in his work? It would be good for you both to understand one and other's culture." Optimus prime suggests, trying to help Ratchet become a better Guardian since all he does is pick up Cayde school.
Ratchet actually thought about it, thinking it could be nice to work on something more science related. But his thoughts are cut short when he suddenly got a message through the Comms." Ratchet, bridge us back. We got Energon and lots of it." Said Arcee over the comms.
Arcee and Grimlock had went on a mission earlier in the morning together and from the sounds it, it was successful. So Ratchet opened up the ground bridge, allowing Arcee and Grimlock to come on back to base.
First one to come through was Arcee, pushing a cart filled to the brim with Energon." We got four more just like this." Said Arcee with a slight smile as she pushed her cart over to the side.
Next one coming through was Grimlock, pushing all Four of the carts in." All Energon secured and cons scrapped." Said Grimlock, wiping some cons Energon off his arm.
"Oh! Did you bring me back a souvenir?" Miko asked with a grin, hoping the big guy brought her back something cool.
Grimlock nodded a bit and then pulled one two things off one of the carts he brought in. One was a blaster arm from a con. And the other was a finger but not just any finger, it was the middle finger." Here kid."Said Grimlock as he drops the finger near miko.
Hound immediately knew which finger it was and laughed a bit." Of course you bring back that one." Said Hound, not seeming to mind the finger souvenir.
"Wait, which one is it?" Asked Miko as she stared at the big finger for a bit.
So while hounding explained to miko which finger that was, Grimlock sets the arm blaster down near Cayde." Thanks Grim." Said Cayde, not looking up from his work. Cayde was booming with joy on the inside, he can't wait to take that arm blaster apart.
Optimus watched this and was slightly conflicted. on one hand, Grimlock seems to be doing much better in terms of interactions and being less angry to his fellow Autobots and allies. But on the other hand, Grimlock brought back limbs from a battle as a souvenir. Most would find that disturbing.
Seeing this brought back memories to Optimus when he looked into Grimlocks locker and saw all those Decepticon heads. While prime was having flashbacks to the old days of cybertron, the decepticons were making a move.
Out in a rocky desert trench area, Starscream was staring around the area with a smirk while Soundwave just stood behind starscream, scanning the area." And to think Megatron wanted to find troops among the stars, when perfectly mighty ones were right below his feet." Starscream said with his snake like tone.
Soundwave chose to ignore starscream for the time being, hoping to get this over with as soon as possible so that he may go back to scanning for a signs of the Decepticons one true leader. Soon enough, Soundwave located a stasis pod." Stasis pod located. not far from here." Said Soundwave, already transforming and flying ahead.
Starscream frowns at this." Hey! I am in charge here Soundwave! Ugh,This feels cybertron all over again." Starscream muttered as he transformed and flies after the communications officer of the Decepticons.
While starscream fails at being a leader, Back at the Autobot base. The Autobots were continuing to help the teens out with their work, but now, Ratchet is working with Cayde and those two seem to be lost in the world of science.
Grimlock, Arcee, and Optimus were watching this since they weren't part of it." This is torture. I need action." Said Grimlock, finding standing around and doing nothing to be boring and a waste of skills and time.
"You're not the only one big guy." Said Arcee as she felt pretty bored as well, wishing that something could happen.
Just as Arcee said that, alarms went off over at the computer, having picked up moving Energon.Ratchet reluctantly moved away from what he and Cayde were working on to check out whats happening." It appears that Energon is on the move." Said Ratchet as he beings to pin point the exact location.
"The cons seem to be everywhere today. Well I guess we better get going, I could use some target practice." Said Hound, about to load up and roll out.
Optimus had an other idea for hound and the others." Autobots, you will remain here and continue to help out our young friends. Grimlock and Arcee, you two will join me." Said Optimus, having remembered how they wanted some action.
The Groundbridge activated and Optimus walked through it first. Arcee looked up at Grimlock."Think we'll be dealing with the regulars again?" Asked Arcee as she started to walk through the Groundbridge with Grimlock.
"Probably. The Cons don't have any heavy hitters on earth." Said Grimlock as he walked through with Arcee.
While the autobots made their way through the Groundbridge, Starscream and Soundwave were finished digging out the stasis pod containing a Decepticon warrior." And now for the finishing touch, a cube of Energon." Starscream said as he turns to Soundwave, who's holding the box with the Energon in it.
Soundwave takes out the cube of Energon and hands it over to starscream, After doing that he immediately walked away to run his scanners. Starscream saw this but could care less." Time to awake my Warrior." Starscream said as he inserted the cube into the stasis pod.
The cube of Energon was working, awaking the warrior within the stasis pod.
While starscream was trying to recruit a loyal warrior to the Decepticons, the Autobots arrived just a bit away from where starscream was at.
Optimus looked around the valley like area before looking at Grimlock and Arcee."Remain vigilant, we do not yet know if this is a trap or not." Said Optimus, informing them the possibility of this Energon hunt might be a trap.
While they walked through the Valley, Arcee decided to ask something." Hey Grimlock, I gotta ask...were you always Angry? Even Before the war?" Asked Arcee, curious if the big was always Angry. This is not the first question she's asked of Grimlock, nor will it be the last.
Grimlock is silent for a bit before answering her question. " Yes. Back in gladiator pit, me use anger to destroy enemies. But now, not so much when not fighting." Grimlock said. Seems like anger has been a part of who he is for many years.
While they talked a bit more and Optimus being the silent third wheel, The Decepticon Warrior came out of his stasis pod.
Starscream laughed wickedly with glee as the Warrior awakens." Awaken and Serve your new master!" Said Starscream, think the big strong looking bot will become his loyal follower.
Skyquake comes out of his stasis pod with a frown before smashing his fists together, getting a nice stretch in after having been awakened." Skyquake only follows true warriors." Said Skyquake, a Decepticon who values honor and is loyal to the strong, just like his twin brother who is somewhere out in space:
Starscream assumes that skyquake is referring to him." Excellent. Your loyalty shall make a fine example to the troops, no need to feel intimidated,you may bow." Said Starscream. Oh how wrong the seeker is.
Skyquake steps forward with a stomp, causing starscream to step back in slight fear." You are mistaken, you are not a warrior, where is lord Megatron?" Asked Skyquake, wanting to know where an actual real warrior is.
Starscream readjusted himself before he answered."Well sadly, megatron perished in a spacebridge explosion." Said Starscream, give Skyquake the reason of the death to make sure that Skyquake believes him.
Skyquake surprisingly does believe screamer. No one could survive such a thing, well maybe some beings could but no one that he knows of." Lord megatron is truly gone...who takes command of the Decepticons?" Asked Skyquake, wanting to know who has replaced Megatron.
Starscream smirked and then pointed at himself." I, Lord starscream, am now the leader of the Decepticons." He said, looking up at Skyquake.
Skyquake frowns at this a bit." You are not worthy to lead anyone starscream." Said Skyquake. Finally someone says it.
Starscream growls a bit in frustration, but then a certain leader voice spoke up." It has been awhile Skyquake." Spoke up Optimus prime as he walked towards the two cons before stopping.
Skyquake turns his attention away from the cowardly snake of a decepticon and towards the prime." Optimus Prime, i haven't seen you since the battle of technar. I was order to terminate you." Skyquake said, wanting to let the prime know.
"That was a long time ago and when Megatron was alive." Optimus said to Skyquake before turning his attention to starscream." With Megatron gone, now is chance to prove that you are better than megatron, by leading the Decepticons towards peace." Said Optimus, hoping his words to reach the seeker.
Starscream ignored primed worlds basically, but decided to use this chance for something else." I might consider it, if you bow to me Optimus prime." Having a prime bow to starscream would surely get him the total loyalty and command of the Decepticons.
Skyquake became furious at hearing this." Again?! Bow to this!" Skyquake punched starscream all the way into a stone wall hard.
Starscream groans a bit as he tried to recover. Perhaps now would be a good time to fly away, but before he could, the Ground shook a bit. Heavy foot steps could be heard coming from behind Prime. Starscream saw who it was and started to shake with fear." G-G-Grimlock?!" Starscream immediately started to have flashbacks to what that brute did to him.
Grimlock ignored starscream as he stops next to prime. Arcee was right next to since she didn't wanna remain behind alone." Me remember you, I fight you and a squadron of Cons, you only survivor." Said Grimlock, remembering that day like it was yesterday.
Skyquake just stared at Grimlock for he is remembering the moment they fought. Now Grimlock, He is a true warrior, more now than ever based on the change of appearance." I remember that day. On that day, I saw an another true warrior, one of great savage might and brutality." Said Skyquake, showing respect towards Grimlock and his skills as a warrior.
Starscream wasn't liking all this talking." A-Attack them now!" Ordered starscream, wanting to Skyquake take the autobots on while he escapes. Not even waiting for Skyquake to answer, Starscream transforms and flys off.
Skyquake watched starscream fly away before looking at the Autobots. Grimlock steps forward, ready to tear Skyquake apart." Do you really want your last order to be by him?" Asked Grimlock, knowing that no one would wanna take orders from starscream.
Skyquake shook his head, appearing not hostile." I will not take orders from him or any other Decepticon again, The Decepticons have become unworthy of my service if they accepted someone like Starscream as leader." Said Skyquake, renouncing the Decepticons. Seems like now would be the perfect time to try and Recruit him.
Optimus speaks up, thinking he could convince Skyquake to join the Autobots." If that is the case then Perhaps you would be willing to join the Autobots and help us end this war?" Asked Optimus, hoping to have Skyquake join the Autobots. Decepticons have joined the Autobots in the past so it's not unheard of.
Skyquake stared at the prime for a bit before deciding to Answer." I will join the Autobots Prime, but I will not follow your command, but Grimlocks." Said Skyquake as he looked over at Grimlock.
This surprised both Optimus and Arcee, while Grimlock was smirking a bit under his battle mask. A Decepticon wants to join the Autobots and follow grimlocks Command, that's a first. Optimus thought about this for a moment before speaking out his answer." Very well Skyquake, your request is simple and easily granted." Said Optimus as he extends a hand out to Skyquake.
Skyquake takes primes hand and shakes it. Arcee and Grimlock watched this." Huh, not how I thought today would go." Comments Arcee, Grimlock nodded a bit to agree with her.
Skyquake walked over to Grimlock and then kneels." I await your orders lord Grimlock." Skyquake, assuming things will be similar when he served under Megatron.
Grimlock growls slightly at this." First order, no lord stuff or bowing. Either call me Grimlock, Sir, or commander." Grimlock hated that type of thing. Though part of him wouldn't mind being called king.
Skyquake understood as he stops kneeling, seems like things are different over with the Autobots." I understand Grimlock. I will have to adjust." Said Skyquake.
"Before that, we're gonna have to lay down the rules and get you an alt mode." Pointed out Arcee. Usually Arcee would be against a Decepticon joining the Autobots, but she trusts Optimus decision, and Grimlocks cause he seems to be alright with it.
While the three of them discussed a few things, Optimus comms back to base." Ratchet, bridge us back, and be sure let the others know to not fire at our newest recruit." Said Optimus, wanting to give Skyquake a very non hostile welcome, well try to.
The ground bridge appears and Optimus goes through it first. Arcee goes through next, then Grimlock, and Finally Skyquake.
Back at base, Ratchet and the others were all there, watching as everyone comes out of the groundbridge, but the moment Skyquake comes out, that's when things went from calm to crazy." Look out boss!" Hound pulled out one of his many guns and was about to open fire at Skyquake.
Skyquake was about to pull out his own weapon, but then Grimlock stands between the two." Weapons down, now." Ordered Grimlock, his terrifying presence just screams to any and all to listen to him when he says to do something.
Optimus steps forward, motioning for hound to lay his weapon down." Easy Hound, Skyquake has left the Decepticons and has joined the Autobots." Explained Optimus, trying to cease any more violence.
Hound puts his weapon." Oh, another drift situation. Well at least you won't start saying haiku crap right?" Asked Hound, seemingly only caring about that and not that Skyquake is or was a Decepticon.
Skyquake looked confused." I do not know what a haiku is." Said Skyquake, unaware that what he said made hound relieved.
The humans all stared at Skyquake."Welcome to the team, but remember, I got my eye on you." Said Miko as she does the I got my eye on you gesture.
Cayde just chuckled at this a bit." Like she said, welcome to the team, though just a heads up, beware of her and all her Questions." Joked Cayde, ending up getting punched in the arm by a now flustered and embarrassed Miko.
"Jackass." Miko muttered as she crossed her arms, this causing a few laughs among everyone, Except prime cause he never laughs and Skyquake who is just confused.
Seems like things will be relatively interesting around the Autobot base, more so than ever.

Snow and high blizzard winds was all that was happening out in the Arctic , currently out in the Arctic searching for something was Hound, Bee, and Skyquake who appears a have the Autobot insignia on him and a earth based alt mode. Skyquake stared down at the scanner." This freezing temperature is getting worse." Said Skyquake, leading the two towards something the scanners picked up.
"Then we better hurry up before we become some ugly ice statues." Said Hound, his cigar was out due to the freezing air.
Bee makes some beeps and whirls, asking if they're near the location of the strange energy cause it's getting colder by the minute and Bee really wants to head back to base.
"It says we're right on top of it, but there's nothing for miles." Said Skyquake as he shakes the scanner a bit in frustration, thinking the cold arctic air must be effecting the device.
Hound stared at the ground, about to toss away his cigar, but then notice a big pod object under the ice." I think we just found source of the strange energy." Said Hound, crouching down and tapping the ice.
The three managed to get the strange object back to the base after some bashing and carrying, once back at base the object was placed into a room where it was being heated up. The three bots were strapped up, currently being defrosted to ensure no damage later on.
"How much longer must we remain here? I need to train." Said Skyquake as he started to get up,itching to get some training in, and improve his skills.
Ratchet shoved Skyquake back down to the ground ."As long as the process takes. We cannot risk the possibility of permanent system damage." Explained Ratchet. Sometimes being a medic is hard, especially when your patients are impatient meat heads.
Walking over to the medical Officer was Optimus, alone. Arcee and Grimlock were out doing something together again, strange. They have been spending more time together recently, but that's not the main focus right now." Ratchet, have you learned anything about our find in the Arctic?" Asked Optimus, curious if his old friend has found anything.
Ratchet shook his head and then pulled up an imagine of the object that was still covered in ice a bit." We won't be able find out anything till the ice has been melted." Said Ratchet as he then pulled up what was previously up.
Because of this, no one was able to see a small part of the pod cracking, breaking, till finally a small claw comes out!

It was now early in the morning and Ratchet was setting the groundbridge coordinates for Optimus, Grimlock, and Arcee." Now remember,Once your core temperature drops into the blue zone, system failures aren't likely, There imminent." Explained Ratchet as the Autobots Insignias glow blue, except Grimlocks for a few reasons.
Before the trio could walk on through, Hound and Bee came driving in with the teens. At the same time, Skyquake comes walking into the room, having finished checking the Energon storage at the request of Ratchet." The humans are here?" Skyquake sounded a bit confused due to him having gotten used to them not being at the base at this time.
Miko hops out of hound and then looked up at Ratchet." Miss us doc bot?" Asked Miko as she headed towards the stairs.
"Only two of you humans." Said Ratchet, no one knows if he was messing with miko or not.
Miko frowns at what Ratcht said, but the smiled a bit." Not bad Doc." Said Miko, not mad at the doc but impressed a bit.
Cayde didn't say a word at first as he just followed miko up the stairs." Miko, can I get your help with some testing later?" Asked Cayde. That usually involved Miko testing out his latest invention which was almost always cool.
"Ooo what do you got this time?!" Asked Miko with excitement as she sat down on the couch, Cayde soon sitting with her.
While the two chatted, Raf walks over to Optimus, Arcee, and Grimlock." The Arctic? I've always wanted to see snow." Said Raf. That's both wholesome and really sad but makes sense since Jasper Nevada never has a snow day.
Optimus wouldn't mind bringing Raf with them since it is just an investigation mission, but it was to dangerous." I would invite you to join Rafael. But the conditions are too extreme, Even for we Autobots."
Grimlock growls slightly a bit." Maybe for a bot like prime, but not me grimlock." Said Grimlock, confident in his metal against anything, as he should.
"Oh, okay." Said Raf, a bit sad but understands that it's not safe for humans to join on this mission to the Arctic.
Grimlock noticed this and decided to try and fix that." I will bring snow so stop looking sad kid." Said Grimlock, making a promise to get Raf some snow.
Raf smiled at this and then walked away to join Miko and Cayde.
Arcee just rolled her optic a bit while smiling a bit at what grimlock said to Raf." Alright, let's go before I freeze from just standing around." Said Arcee as she started to walk towards the Groundbridge as Ratchet activated it.
The three went through the Groundbridge safely and made it out to the other side, but something happens and the controls of the Groundbridge start sparking and smoke a bit." Scrap..." Ratchet said, this can't be good.
"That doesn't sound good, come on, doc might need our delicate expertise." Joked Hound a bit as he, Skyquake, and bee walk over to ratchet to see if what exactly happened and if the doc needs a hand.
While ratchet and the others tried to handle that, Raf sat down on the couch next to miko and Cayde." So what should we do before we test out some of those gadgets of yours?" Asked Miko as she scooted over a bit to Cayde.
Cayde thought for a moment before shrugging a bit." I got no idea." Said Cayde, not noticing Miko getting closer to him.
"How about a movie?" Suggested Miko with a smile, just a totally random suggestion, with no ulterior motives whatsoever.
Cayde thought about this and then nodded a bit." Sure, I could watch a movie." Said Cayde, thinking it would be nice since it's been awhile.
Miko mentally fist bumps at this. She quickly looks over at Raf." Raf, can you do me a big favor and disappear for an hour or two? I will owe you big time if you do this." Miko whispered to Raf.
Raf thought for a moment, at first confused why miko wanted to be alone with Cayde, but soon enough he understood." I uh just remembered, I got something's to do. Enjoy the movie you two." Raf said as he got up and left.
So while Raf left, Cayde and Miko watch a scary movie about a barber together. Throughout the movie, Miko attempts to get closer to Cayde, her hand moving towards his, but just as Mikos hand could touch caydes hand, the power flickered a bit." Thats not a good sign, let's see if the bots know why this is happening." Said Cayde, getting up and heading for the stairs.
Miko sighs a bit as she follows after Cayde, maybe some other time." Yo, Doc bot, did you guys forget to pay the power bill?" Asked Miko, using humor to hide her dismay.
Ratchet ignored her joke and pulled out a circuit board that had bite marks and chunks taken out of it." Something chewed this, but what could have done this? The only thing that can do this is ba-" Ratchet got interrupted before he could finish what he was about to say.
It was Raf, looks like he's back." Hey guys, look what I found!" Said Raf, excited to show off what he found.
Ratchet sighs a bit, now is not the time for this." Rafael, we're bus-AH!" Ratchet yelled out in fear, seeing a small robot creature in Rafs arms.
All the Autobots started to Freak the hell out, getting their weapons out and everything." Rafael! Set that scraplet down so we can terminate it!" Said Skyquake, aiming his minigun at the scraplet.
The moment Cayde heard that word, he knew that the Autobots were acting out of logic, so Cayde started slowly back away from raf, not wanting to be to close to the scraplet due to secret of his." Raf, set that thing down slowly." Said Cayde, knowing about this vermin thanks to ratchet, teaching him about cybertron and its technology.
Miko and Raf were the only ones not freaking out." Wait, you're all scared of this tiny thing?" Miko said, finding it incredibly odd a couple of giant robots and Cayde to be scared of a small robot thing.
Hound was shaking slightly as he stared at the scraplet, bee and Skyquake were shaking as well."Miko, that tiny thing is capable of devouring an entire bot!" Said Hound, aiming two guns at it.
Raf for some reason dismisses there warnings."Aw, but He won't hurt anyone." Said raf as he pets the scraplet, accidentally waking it up.
The moment it did it looked around the room till it spotted some yummy metal. It jumps out of rafs hands and its mouth opens up, revealing many sharp teeth that were spinning. It crawls and leaps...right at caydes right leg, bitting into it and feasting on it." Get it off!!" Cayde yelled, trying to shake it off his...metal Robotic prosthetic leg.
Miko quickly grabs a crowbar and beats the scraplet off Cayde and then proceeds to beat it to death." NEVER! TOUCH! CAYDE!" Miko said with each strike till it was dead. After it was dead, Miko stops, panting a bit from all that bashing.
Cayde was surprised by this but also blushed a bit." Wow..." said Cayde, awestruck. But the moments ruined when his leg breaks and he falls to the ground."oh come on! That was my best leg!" Said Cayde as he just lays there.
miko and Raf quickly help Cayde over to some boxes for him to sit on. Once Cayde sat down and started to pull up his right leg pants sleeve, everyone just stared at Cayde and his prosthetic, no one knew about this." Cayde, you wear a mechanical limp?" Asked Ratchet, having no idea humans wore those if they lost a limb.
"Oh, yeah. Got in an accident when I was younger, but let's not focus on my lack of a leg and focus on the Scraplet infestation." Said Cayde as he pulled off the rest of his destroyed prosthetic and just tossed it to the side.
"Wait, you mean there's more?!" Asked Miko as she looked over at the Autobots, freaked out a bit. If there's more than that means the Autobots might end up like Caydes prosthetic leg.
Ratchet nodded a bit." Indeed, where there's one, there's usually thousands. They're the ones behind the power loss and the groundbridge control malfunctioned." Said Ratchet, now thinking about what else the scraplets have gotten their teeth on.
With that thought in all there minds, hound just realized something." Wait, then that means the boss, Arcee, and Grimlock are trapped in the Arctic." Said Hound, adding even more bad news.
Speaking of the trio
Out in the Arctic, Optimus, Arce, and Grimlock were walking around the area where the others had found the object, trying to see if there are more or anything that could help figure out what's in the pod. But after some time, Both prime and Arcee's insignias beep blue, except Grimlock does even look like the cold of the Arctic has affected him in any way." Look at that, guess you were right Grim." Said Arcee with a small smile, messing with him a bit.
Grimlock is silent for a bit before speaking."Surprised you didn't believe me." Grimlock said, attempting to mess with her back, he's not the best at this kind of stuff.
While they chatted,Optimus comms back to base, well tries to for pick up." Optimus to base, Arcee and I's core temperatures have reached the blue zone and are need of a groundbridge." Optimus said, but all he got was static.
Arcee and Grimlock saw this and tried their comm links as well, both getting static as well." Scrap, the comms must be down." Said Arcee. Of all the times for this to happen, of course it happens while out in the Arctic.
Instead of just standing around, Grimlock started to walk off in a direction." No point in standing around, need to find shelter for you two." Said Grimlock as he started to lead them, his large body blocking them both from the cold intense wind of the Arctic.
They make their way through the Artic, but soon enough thankfully, they found some shelter, not the best but it will work, especially with Grimlock using his body to shield the others from the wind." You know, I always thought I'd go out in a blaze of glory, not freeze to death." Said Arcee as she sat down.
That suddenly gave Grimlock an idea and a remainder." Wait! I can keep us warm!" Said Grimlock as he transformed into Dino mode. After that, he breathed fire near them, heating them up almost instantly and bringing their core temperatures down.
Optimus and Arcee were relieved and thankful for this." We are fortunate to have you here with us Grimlock." Said Optimus, feeling the heat from Grimlocks flames.
Once they the two got toasted enough, Grimlock stops and then transforms back to Robot mode." Thanks for that Grimlock." Said Arcee, smiling at the Dinobot.
Grimlock nodded a bit as he sat down." Of course, anytime." Said Grimlock. With them now heated up, all they all can do is now wait around and wait for a groundbridge.
While the trio just...Chill at the shelter, everyone back at the base were attempting to fix the ground bridge and deal with the infestation.
Everyone divided into three groups. Miko and Hound went one way, Raf and Bee went another way while Cayde, Ratchet, and Skyquake remained at the groundbridge controls to try and fix them, well except Skyquake, he's on bodyguard duty.
Hound was on high alert while miko was in a deep thought." Why do you think Cayde kept his prosthetic leg a secret from me? Was he worried I'd think less of him?" Asked Miko, more focused on that than the situation. Teenage girls are just odd sometimes.
"Miko! Talk about that later, focus now!" Hound whisper yelled as he walked after her with two guns out, ready to blast some scraplets. But then the lights turned off." AHHHH!!!" Hound screams, it sounded strangely like a girl screaming.
Once the lights turned back on, Miko slowly turned and looked up at Hound." Hound...Did you just scream like a little girl?" Asked Miko.
Hound just stared at her for a bit." Can we uh, forget that ever happened?" Asked Hound, trying to save whatever pride he had left, but that immediately goes down the drain when hound heard crawling above.
Hound then Fired some rounds at the ceiling, causing a bunch of cables to fall on him, which made hound scream like a girl again." Ahhh! Get them off me! Get off!" Hound screamed out, thinking it was scraplets on him.
Miko sighs at this a bit." I'm gonna pretend I never saw that...Hound! It's just cables!" Said Miko, trying to get hound to stop freaking out.
Hound does end up stopping and sees that is just a bunch of Cables." Oh...hahah, cables." Hound yanked on one...but then a whole swarm of Scaplets fall onto Hound and attack, making him yell out in pain as he tried to get them off.
In another part of the base, Raf Bee end up getting jumped by the scraplets and Bee gets attacked. That just left Ratchet, Skyquake, and Cayde.
While Ratchet made repairs, Cayde and Skyquake remained on guard, well mostly Skyquake cause Cayde only had one leg and didn't bring a spare prosthetic, but Cayde did have a weapon in hand that should help." Ratchet, how's it looking?" Asked Cayde from where he was sitting.
"Everything had been repaired, but the problem is that it's not getting any power!" Ratchet slammed his fist in anger down onto the ground.
Suddenly, the sounds of scraplets could be heard from up on the wall, and this caused both Skyquake and Cayde to look up at them, just like how the scraplets look at them. Once spotting Ratchet and Skyquake, they fly right at the two Cybertronians.
Skyquake yelled as he opens fire, hitting many but also missing a bit. This bot is not about to go down without a fight." I'll take you all with me to the all spark!!" Yelled Skyquake, but then started to get swarmed, causing Skyquake to drop his weapon and fall the ground while trying to get them off.
Cayde quickly aims a special gun and fired it, an ice stream comes out, enough to freeze the scraplets but not enough to cause freezing damage to Skyquake." I knew this freeze gun prototype would come in handy!" Said Cayde with a small grin as he soon got all the scraplets off of Skyquake, but that grin soon vanished when the scraplets when after Ratchet.
Ratchet yelled in pain, trying to get the vermin off. While this happened, Hound and Bee come in, looking beaten up." Doc, we need some pat-...ah crap." Said Hound as he saw all the scraplets in the room.
The scraplets started to attack all the Autobots, however, their numbers are greatly reduced for each bot thankfully." Miko! Raf! Grab the fire extinguishers and help me freeze these pests!" Said Cayde as he started to fire at the scraplets on Ratchet and Skyquake, trying to get both.
Miko and Raf start using the fire extinguishers on the scraplets that were on their guardians while said guardians yell in pain and flail on the ground.
While this happened, Back in the Arctic, Grimlock reheated the others again before transforming back to robot mode. Arcee stared at Grimlock a bit, worried m about him." You sure this colds not bothering you?" Asked Arcee.
Grimlock nodded a bit. Must be that fire in him that's keeping him from freezing, or could be something else." Don't worry about me, worry about surviving." Said Grimlock, more worried about the survival of others than himself.
"Grimlock, your survival is just as important as ours." Said Optimus, noticing Grimlocks little care for his own survival.
Grimlock just remains quiet for a bit before speaking up." You right Optimus, but I know I can survive this, you two can't." Said Grimlock, scowling at the prime with a growl.
Arcee decided to try and change the subject." How about a game to lighten things up? We can play guess who messed up back at base?" Arcee suggested, hoping her suggestion will change the subject.
Optimus looked over at her." No one is to blame. This could simply be the result of a minor malfunction." Said Optimus, not putting the blame on anyone for this.
This suddenly got everyone thinking, what is everyone doing back the base to try and fix this mess?
Back at the Base, the humans have managed to put all the Scraplets on ice, well all the ones that were attacking the Autobots." Please tell me that's all of them." Said Hound, laying down like everyone else.
The sounds of many more scraplets could be heard comming from the hallway, this caused all the bits to groan a bit." Is there no end to this infestation?!" Asked Skyquake as he was lying against a wall.
Cayde was in deep thought as he was sitting down, but then suddenly got an idea." Ratchet,if we can get power back the ground bridge, would we be able to send the scraplets back to the Arctic?" Asked Cayde.
Ratchet already knew immediately that plan would work." Indeed, but in order to restore power to the groundbridge, someone will have to repair the pipe that pumps Energon to the groundbridge." Explains Ratchet.
Bee beeps a bit as he tried to get up, but then falls down. He said that none of them are strong enough to make it to the pipe and back.
"What about us? We could fix it." Suggested raf as he stepped forward. Miko as well with Cayde, helping him over while making sure he doesn't fall over.
So after a quick grab of a few tools, the three teens were making their way to the pipe to patch it up, thankfully they made it quickly." Alright, I'll have this fixed soon, you two make sure the vermin don't eat my welding torch." Said Cayde as he started to get to work on the pipe.
Thankfully Cayde didn't take too long and the pipe was repaired, but then all the scraplets took off, flying to the main hub to feed." Let's hope ratchet can open the groundbridge now." Said Cayde as he got up, Miko helping him as they make their way back to the main hub.
The scraplets found their way into the to the main hub and then started to circle their pray, about to feed.
Ratchet quickly activated the Groundbridge, but falls to the ground as he did so. The coordinates were set for Optimus and the others current location, now all that was left to do was lure them through.
Skyquake saw the others to weak to get up, except him and hound, but if anyone was gonna be bait, might as well be him. So Skyquake musters up all the strength he can and gets up." Hey! Come and get your last meal vermin!" Yelled out Skyquake, trying to get the whole swarm's attention.
Skyquake was successful with this and started to book it through the Groundbridge while the scraplets followed after him.
Meanwhile on the other side, Grimlock spotted the Groundbridge and then got up along with the others." About time." Grimlock said as he started walking towards it.
"And here I thought we would be stranded here forever." Said Arcee as she walked next to Grimlock.
Before any of them could reach the Groundbridge, Skyquake came rushing out, and falls to the ground." Get down!" Skyquake said as all the scraplets come flying out of the Groundbridge and right at the trio.
Optimus was about to get in front of them to protect them from the scraplets, But Grimlock beat prime to it and stood in front of Him and Arcee. The Scraplets tried to get a bite, but then end up freezing to death and hit and bounced off of Grimlocks chest." Scraplets...the pod." Grimlock pieced it together.
Skyquake gets up slowly." Yes, it was a trap and it has left the base and the others, damaged." Said Skyquake...who then passed out in the snow .
One small time skip later...
Everyone was back at the base now, all hooked up and in the process of getting patched up. Except for Grimlock, Arcee, and Optimus. After a quick scan, all three of them were alright, and ended up assisting the teens with repairing the others, Cayde had to sit in a chair with wheels on it to get around.
When the trio first got back, they had immediately noticed Caydes missing leg. Arcee and Optimus didn't say a word about Cayde missing leg at first due to them not wanting to be rude, but not Grimlock.
"So you had fake leg this whole time?" Asked Grimlock, surprised by this, having had no idea humans who lost limbs had fake replacements.
Cayde nodded a bit as he rolled over to the computer to see the bots readings." Yep, and everyone got to found out when one of those vermin ate it, thanks for bringing it over by the way Raf." Said Cayde, reminding Raf in a joking way that his favorite prosthetic leg is gone because of Raf bringing the scraplet over to them.
Raf sighs a bit as he was plugging stuff onto Bee." I said I was sorry." Said Raf as he walked over to a computer to check on the bots readings.
Miko, after having finished checking the plugs on Ratchet, walked over and decided to get in on this." Well Sorry doesn't make a new prosthetic leg appear raf." Joked Miko, but also telling the truth.
While the teens chatted a bit, Ratchet was trying to monitor everything, making sure everything was going smoothly. Optimus noticed this." Perhaps you should get some rest old friend, you saved quite a few lives today." Pointed out the prime, gesturing to everyone here.
Ratchet simply shook his head slowly with a smile." It wasn't all my doing, the humans were the ones who saved our lives today, mine included." Said Ratchet, looking down at the human teenagers.
While half the team recovered and the other half helps patch them up, in the corner of the room there was a huge pile of snow, seems like Grimlock kept his word.

Oh and the decision to make my oc Cayde have a prosthetic was probably the best decision I made. Lol
