Today was like any other day for the Autobots... psych! Today is a special day for a pretty rad girl. Speaking of the rad girl, Miko was sitting in her room at her host parent's house, drawing some stuff to pass the time. The reason why Miko was doing this instead of hanging out at the Autobot was cause Cayde asked her to stay away from the base for a while to set up her party.
Miko can't wait to see what Cayde and the bots got planned.
Speaking of Cayde and the bots, everyone was helping set up the most amazing party for Miko ever. Everyone had their own tasks given to them by Cayde, being the party planner. His job was to make sure everything was perfect for Miko's party and to make sure everyone finishes their tasks.
Raf and Jazz were in charge of finding music that miko likes for the party and so far the two nearly had a playlist all set for the party." Man, there is so much groove music here on this planet, it's hard to just pick a few." Said Jazz, looking down at Raf's laptop.
Raf nodded a bit to agree with Jazz." I know what you mean, but thankfully we only gotta focus on a particular genre of music today for mikos party." Said Raf as he added another song to the playlist.
While they worked on the music, the others were doing different tasks.
Working on making the decorations was whirl, Bee, and Crosshairs. Crosshairs was a bit ticked he got stuck with this task." Why do I gotta waste my time with this? What's in it for me?" Asked Crosshairs. Instead of an answer, his face was met with a gun courtesy of whirl.
Whirl held a gun in one of his claws as he had a skull cut out in the other."What's in it for you is I don't blow your head into scrap bits...plus we need the extra set of hands. My claws can only do so much." Said Whirl as he then sets the gun down and goes back to making skull cut outs.
Crosshairs grumbles a bit as he goes back to making cut outs. This makes Bee laugh a tad at this as he was making musical note cut outs.
While the three continued to work on the decorations, Optimus, Ratchet, Que, and surprisingly Agent Fowler were setting up Party games.
Agent Fowler originally came to get a report from prime, but accidentally stumbled upon everyone preparing for Mikos party and ended being dragged into helping with the party.
One of them games was called stick the Autobot badge on the Prime. It was basically stick the tail on the donkey but instead of a donkey it's a picture of Optimus prime without his Autobot badge." Agent Fowler, I am unfamiliar with this earth game, can you explain it?" Asked Optimus as he stared at the close up picture of himself without an autobot badge.
"Oh uh well someone is blindfolded and then spun around till a certain amount of time. After that, everyone or someone has to help guide the one with the blindfold put the object in the right place." Agent Fowler explained the best he could to the giant alien robot.
Ratchet thought this game was stupid and thought a game from cybertron would be better. But that's not the only thing he thought was stupid." This is a waste of Energon. We could be using this time for something much more important." Said Ratchet.
Optimus looked at his old friend and placed a hand on his shoulder." Ratchet, you may believe this to be a waste of time, but I see it as a way to create memories that will last eternity. The future is a mystery and we don't know what might happen, so it would be best to enjoy times like these while we still can." Said Optimus, trying to help ratchet see this whole thing in a different way.
This gets ratchet thinking a bit as he just stands there, thinking about Optimus's words.
While he did that, hound and Ironhide were in charge of setting up the tables for presents, drinks,food, and other party stuff. The two were given this job because Cayde thought it would be hilarious to watch and to record for miko to see.
There were a few tables set up but there was also a lot of broken tables." Nice and ea- ah Fuck!" Hound broke another table.
"Hound, you gotta do it easy, like th- ah dame it!" Ironhide broke another table as well. Watching these two try to set up tables and accidentally breaking them was funny.
While they continued to attempt to set up tables, the couple of the Autobots were setting up some dummy's in the training room for later. Apparently one or two of Mikos gifts might contain weapons of mass destruction.
It didn't take long for Arcee and Grimlock to get everything set up. So when they were done, they down and talked a bit. Talking with Arcee helps heal Grimlocks damaged speech a bit."After cutting down those bugs, slug said I cut those bugs like Beryllium bologna. But he wrong so I told him it was like cesium salami. But then we started to argue over which it was. He was wrong obviously." Said Grimlock, telling Arcee some stories about the past with him and his old team.
Arcee smiled a bit, enjoying Grimlocks words." I don't know, I might have to agree with slug." Arcee said with a teasing smirk, messing with Grimlock.
Grimlock stared at her for awhile before looking away." You've betrayed me." Said Grimlock, making a joke for the first time in a long time.
This makes Arcee laugh a bit, finding it funny and a bit surprising since the big guy doesn't really make jokes often." You'll get over it. Anyway, got anything else you wanna share before we let the others know we're done?" Asked Arcee as she leans onto Grimlock, relaxing a bit with him.
Grimlock thought for a while, trying to think of what to say. Soon he came up with something, it was a bit deep though." Do you really think I can be more than what I am? More than a brute? Would I have a place on cybertron if things ever got better and planet lives again?" Asked Grimlock as he stared down at his hands before clenching his fists.
This question is one of the constant thoughts that echo in Grimlocks mind. This makes Arcee frown slightly, not liking it when Grimlock said that. So what does she do?
Arcee moves from Grimlocks side and onto his lap, staring at him. Arcee then grabs the sides of Grimlocks face and makes sure he keeps his eyes on her." Grimlock...you're a big idiot. Of course you're more than a brute Grim. And if cybertron, if ever saved, doesn't see the bot I see, then we can always leave it ." Said Arcce, smiling a bit as she rests on Grims lap.
Grimlock takes a moment to let that sink in. Grimlcok is a very really lucky bot to have met someone like Arcee." Thanks...I needed that." Said Grimlock as he wraps his arms around her waist, keeping her close.
Arcee is happy to hear that. Next thing she does is try to get a kiss from Grim, who also just so happens to decide to do the same thing, Grimlocks battle mask folds down as he got closer to her.
Just as the two were about to kiss, a cough got both of there attentions and caused them both to stop and look at the source of the cough. It was none other than Cayde, who had a bit of grin on his face." Enjoying the alone time you two?" Asked Cayde.
"We were, but then you came in and ruined it." Said Arcee as she gets off Grimlocks. Joking a bit but also not at the same time.
Grimlocks mask folds back up as he gets up off the ground and then looked down at Cayde." Is everything done?" Asked Grimlock, changing the subject.
Cayde nodded a bit." Yep, everything should be all set. Now all that's left to do is get the birthday girl here." Said Cayde with a small smile as he walked away, heading back to the man area where the party is all set up. It was about time to go and pick up Miko.
Arcee and Grimlock followed after him to prepare for Mikos arrival.
Speaking of Miko, a bit later...
Miko was still at her host parent's house, still sitting around." Ugh, waiting around is so boring!" Miko said to herself as she falls onto her bed, bored out of her mind.
Luckily for her, her boredom soon ended all thanks to a text. Miko looks at her phone and saw that it was from Cayde. It said that they are ready for her and that he's outside of her house right now." Finally!" Said Miko as she got up and bolted it out of her room and out of the house.
The first thing Miko sees is cayde, leaning against hound who's in vehicle mode, obviously." Happy birthday miko, hope you're ready for your sweet eighteen birthday party." Said Cayde as he opens hounds passage side front seat door.
Miko excitedly gets in while giving Cayde a teasing smile." Is that even a real thing people say?" She asked as Cayde shuts the door for her.
"Yeah, I totally didn't just make it up." Said Cayde as he then walked around hounding and hops in the driver seat.
Hound began to drive off back to the base." Hope you're ready miko. Cayde here made sure everything was perfect, just for you." Said Hound as he speeds up a bit, finally leaving town.
"Really?" Miko asked, looking over at Cayde, a bit surprised by this news.
Cayde rubs the back of his neck as he looks away from miko." Well I just wanted this birthday to be special for you, that's all." Said Cayde, blushing slightly.
Miko couldn't help but smile at this, finding it cute the way Cayde looked embarrassed." I'll hold you to it." Said Miko, leaning back in the passenger seat.
For the next minute or two, the drive back to base was silent. They eventually arrived and when they got to the main area of the base, waiting for them was the whole team.
The moment miko got out of hound, Confetti and balloons fell." Happy birthday Miko!" Everyone said, wishing miko a happy birthday.
Behind everyone was Prime and Grimlock, the two held up a banner that said happy sweet eighteenth birthday. Miko was surprised by how well everything looked." Woah, you guys did all of this for me?" Asked Miko, still a bit surprised.
Whirl steps forward and crouched down near the ground."Of course we did, even though we're at war and had no idea what birthday party was, we still did it cause we wanted to celebrate your special day, that and Cayde forced us to help out." Whirl slightly joked a bit as Cayde gets out of Hound, who then transforms back to robot mode once Cayde was gone.
This joke got whirl a bonk on the head, courtesy of Skyquake." Do not ruin Mikos special celebration of her birth with your foolish jokes whirl." Said Skyquake, thinking whirl should show some more respect, for today at least.
Whirl was about to make a remark which would then be followed by a tackle, but then Miko spoke up." It's all good sky, nothings gonna ruin today. Let's get this party started already!" Said Miko with a grin, eager to see what everyone has managed to put together.
The moment she said that, Jazz and Raf start the music, getting this party started.
With the music blasting, the first thing first was some party games. First game was pin the autobot badge on the prime.
There were two different sizes. One for the humans and the another for the Autobots.
The ones who ended up playing this Game was Miko, Cayde, Raf, Whirl, Jazz, Bee, and very Shockingly, Optimus Prime.
When it was Optimus's turn, he ended up putting the Autobot badge on the face of his picture. This gets a few laughs from everyone." It would appear I am not so good at games." Said Optimus as he walked back over to where Ratchet and Que were.
"It's all cool prime, all that matters is the fun." Said Jazz, finding this game to be fun.
After a few more party games, the humans snacking a bit, it was now time for gifts. Everyone somehow managed to get a gift for Miko, which is a shock due to the Autobots being unable to go out to stores and such. But thank god for online shopping, being tech genius's, and for being warriors who save stuff from battles.
"Aw,You guys didn't have to get me anything." Said Miko as she saw the gifts from everyone. Miko honestly only expected Cayde and Raf to get her some gifts.
Crosshairs was about to say something, but then Whirl shoved by his face." Open my gift up first, it's definitely the best gift you're gonna get all day." Said whirl as he pointed at the box with blue wrapping and one big yellow dot on the side of it.
Each of the gifts had color schemes that matched with each of the bots color scheme.
Miko went and opened up whirls gift first. When she was done tearing open the box, she saw her gift from whirl.
Whirls gift was an...eye patch?" Now you can have one eye and can now look badass like me." Said whirl, thinking his was pretty great.
Everyone just kinda gave whirl a really look while miko giggled slightly as she holds the eye patch." This is cool, thanks whirl." Said Miko, liking the gift.
After his gift, Miko started to open everyone else's. Miko ended up getting some pretty cool gifts. The coolest ones so far were a pair of music note earrings from Jazz, a hundred bucks from Agent Fowler, a pair of engraved bullets from both hound and Ironhide, and a badass sword from Skyquake.
"Okay, this is the best gift ever so far." Said Miko as she started to swing the sword around, chopping up the box's that were empty.
"A warrior must always be armed, use it with honor." Said Skyquake, feeling like this gift was a very wise decision.
Optimus thought it wasn't a good idea to give miko a sword, But Grimlock thought it was.
The remaining Gifts were Grimlocks, Arcees and Caydes. Grimlock sets his and Arcees gift down right in front of Miko. It was a box, a medium sized one to be exact." This from me and Arcee." Said Grimlock, knowing miko will like it even before she opens it.
"Hope you like it, cause we're not getting you something else." Said Arcee, making a bit of a joke. She also already knows that Miko's gonna like it.
Miko wondered what it could be as she started to tear off the wrapping. When she opened it up, Miko immediately gasped as she saw what it was.
Miko then reached into the box and pulled out...a brand new electric guitar." Woah! This is awesome! Wait, how did you all pay for this stuff?" Asked Miko, confused since none of them have jobs and or cash.
"They had a bit of help from the government." Said Fowler. So that's how they could pay for all this stuff.
With that question out of the way, now it was time to open up the best for last, Caydes gifts. There were two on the table." This is two out of three gifts. Your third gift is for a bit later tonight." Said Cayde with a smile.
Miko nodded bit as she grabs one of the gifts and then started to open it. The first gift was a black leather jacket that said Vampire Queen on the back in white letters. The letters were covered in blood. On the front of the jacket on the left side was a pair of white fangs with blood on them." I was looking for cool bloody jackets on the web and ended up finding that. I uh hope you like it." Said Cayde, hoping miko likes it since it's gonna plan in part for later.
Miko stared at it for a while before grinning and then puts it on immediately." Are you kidding?! This is sick! I am never taking this off!" Said Miko, loving this gift a lot already.
Cayde was happy to hear this, and relieved." Well that's good. Anyway After you open up your next gift, head to the training room. I'll join up with you soon, I gotta get some thing's." Said Cayde as he walked away.
While Cayde went to go do whatever he's gonna do, Miko opened up the gift and gasped immediately when she saw what it was.
This immediately got everyone's attention, wondering what it was." What is it lass?" Asked Que, trying to get a peak at what it was Cayde had gifted to her.
Miko pulled the gift out, and it was the Shard blaster! A complete and human sized version." I am gonna destroy so much stuff with this." Said Miko with a grin.
Everyone was surprised by this." He made you a gun?! That kids genius." Said Agent Fowler, staring at the weapon. Perhaps a certain someone has a future at the government as a weapons manufacturer.
Optimus didn't know how to feel about this. First he was uncomfortable with the sword, but now he's really uncomfortable with Miko having a weapon of mass destruction. But OP is gonna have to put up with it.
Cutaway...
The party was starting to fade away a bit, everyone doing their own thing. While everyone kinda just did their own thing, Miko was in the training room, testing out her new weapon. Miko has been in the training room, shooting at dummy's and walls for the past few hours, having a blast." Best gift ever!" Said Miko.
"I'd hold off on saying that, You still got one more gift Miko." Miko turns around and saw that it was Cayde, wearing a new outfit and beanie.
Cayde was now wearing a pair torn jeans, a black beanie with a full moon on it, a plain black t-shirt, and a leather jacket. On the back of the leather jacket were the words Alpha Werewolf with the letters with a fur like style to them, and on the front left side of the jacket was a pair of werewolf teeth with blood on them." What do you think? I wanted to sorta match with you, does it look good?" Asked Cayde, hoping she likes it, but has a feeling that she will.
"It looks sick, but why the change of outfit? Going for a new look?" Asked Miko as she sets down her blaster and walked over to Cayde, admiring how good he looked a bit.
"Yeah, but it's also for your next gift." Said Cayde as he reached into his pocket and pulled out two tickets and hands one to Miko.
Mikeo inspects the ticket and goes a bit wide eyed. This was a concert ticket for a two band group, performing together in St.Louis." Falling in Reverse and Motionless in white?! I love these bands! How did you get these Tickets?!" Asked Miko, surprised Cayde was able to get two tickets.
Cayde smiled a bit." Wasn't too hard, I just got them the very moment they were available. I was pretty lucky cause they sold out within an hour." Said Cayde, explaining how he was able to get his hands on these tickets.
Without even warning Cayde, Miko hugs him tightly." You're the best! I could kiss you!" Said Miko, not realizing what she said till it was too late.
Before miko could say that it was just a slip to the tongue and chicken out, Cayde spoken up first." That uh reminds me something. Miko, I want to tell you something important and personal." Said Cayde, following whirls advice a bit.
Miko nodded a bit, blushing slightly at this and from what she said a few seconds ago. Was this it? Was this really about to happen? Was this the moment there friendship would truly blossom into something new?
Cayde breathed in and out before speaking." Miko, I like you, like a lot. I wanna go out on dates with you and become your boyfriend." Said Cayde, being as straight forward as possible so there's zero confusion.
Miko was shocked but also happy by these words. Without saying a word, she got up and close to him." Cayde...you don't know how long I've waited to hear you say those words." Said Miko with a small blush and a smile, reaching down, holding his hand.
This was shocking and wonderful to hear for Cayde. His fingers intertwined with her fingers as he spoke again." Wait, you mean you feel the sa-" Cayde was interrupted before he could finish his sentence.
What interrupted him? Well it was non other than Mikos lips pressed against his lips, Kissing him.
Cayde melted a bit at the kiss and ends up kissing her back, wrapping his arms around her waist as they make out for a while.
A couple of seconds go by and the two eventually stopped kissing and pulled away from each other. Miko had a blush and a bit of a smirk on her face." Why are smart guys so dense when it comes to knowing if a girl likes them?" Asked Miko as she looked up at Cayde.
"It's one of life's greatest mysteries...But let's forget that mystery and focus on getting to that concert, we'll have to use the Groundbridge to get there." Said Cayde as he leads miko all the way back to the main area.
Waiting for the two by the Groundbridge controls was Ratchet, who was told ahead of time about the concert and ect." When you wanna head back, be sure to give me your coordinates and make sure no one's around." Said Ratchet as he types in the coordinates and then activated the Ground bridge.
"See ya later doc bot." Said Miko as she waved him goodbye before running through the groundbridge, Cayde running right behind her.
The two come out on the other side of the Groundbridge. Both noticing that they were in an alley." Couldn't he have picked a better spot to drop us off?" Asked Miko as the Groundbridge closes behind them.
"Well that depends, do you want people to freak out?" Asked Cayde as he headed out of the Alley with Miko.
"Okay fair." Said Miko, walking next to Cayde while they both head off to the concert.
The concert was being held below on the ground at the St. Louis Arch. There was a lot of people there who were, and they all were dressed up in gothic clothes and monster like clothes.
Cayde and miko arrived just in time because the concert was starting. The first band up to perform was motionless in white and there first song was Werewolf.
This was the best night of Mikos life, well one of the best nights of her life." This is so sick! Best birthday ever!" Said Miko with a grin as she clings onto caydes arm while cheering the band on.
Cayde smiled at this, seeing miko happy makes him happy. Guess that's how most boyfriends feel when seeing their girlfriends happy. That or maybe it's a thing everyone feels seeing someone close to them happy." Happy birthday miko." Said Cayde with a smile as the next band, Falling in reverse came up to the stage while the other band was playing.
As motionless in whites song came to an end, and Fallen in Reverse began to play Im not a vampire revamped, the lights that were going off and the people going nuts.
Whenever the lights would shine onto Cayde and Miko, there shadows looked...monstrous. Foreshadowing of there future perhaps? Whatever there cuter might be, they will face it together.
