The mission was a success, the autobots stopped unicron from rising, but at a great cost. The bridge back to base was quiet, no one saying a word. Not even as they made it to the other side, making back to base and seeing everyone.

Everyone was glad and joyful that the team was successful in putting Unicron back to sleep, but the missing presence of Optimus did not go unnoticed." Where is Optimus? Is he..." Ratchet hopes to primus that Optimus is not one with the all spark.

Caydtronus shakes his head a bit." No, Optimus is still alive. But...he left us behind and went with Megatron back to the cons." He explained what happened down there in the core of the planet.

This was very shocking to hear." What?! Are you are serious?!" Asked Ironhide, not wanting to believe Optimus would truly do that.

"We all saw him go with Megatron, Ironhide. When he looked at us, he didn't even recognize us." Said Arcee, remembering the look on Optimus face when he looked back at them all before heading through a groundbridge with Megatron.

When Ratchet heard this, he began to realize what had happened and why Optimus went with Megatron." That is because he doesn't remember any of us, only Megatronus, before he became megatron that is." Ratchet explained a bit as to why Optimus didn't recognize any one of them.

This caused some more questions than anything else. Ratchet noticed this and began explaining everything. Ratchet explained how when matrix got drained of its power, it also took Optimus memories as well, reverting his mind to before became Optimus prime." Now he believes he is Orion pax once more, and worst of all, he believes Megatron is his friend." Said Ratchet.

"Okay, so how do we restore Optimus's memory's?" Asked Sol, wanting to know what must be done to bring the bearer of the Matrix back to his senses and back to the Autobots.

There was one way and one way only." With the key to vector sigma. But the only one who has it is Optimus." Said Ratchet, sighing a bit and believing that there chances of ever bringing Optimus back is forever lost.

Hearing Ratchet say that got Caydtronus thinking. His chest opens up a bit as he reaches in and pulled out the object Optimus asked him to protect." Would this happen to be the Key?" Asked Caydtronus, gaining everyone's attention.

When Ratchet laid eyes on it, he knew immediately that what Caydtronus was holding was in fact the key to vector sigma." Where did you get it? How do you have it?" Asked Ratchet, glad that Caydtronus has it but is curious how he got his hands on it.

"Before our trip to Unicrons spark, Optimus spoke with me and asked me to keep this safe. I had no idea what it was but I didn't question him." Said Caydtronus as he holds the key out for everyone to see.

This was good, great in fact. With the key in their hands, they can restore Optimus's memories, but there's a few things they must do before that." With the key to vector sigma, we can use it to download and restore Optimus memory's." Said Ratchet, saying like it would be an easy task.

"There are two things wrong with that Ratchet. We can't find Optimus, his signals untraceable. And Vector sigma is all the way back home, out of our reach." Que reminded the doctor about this.

This was surprising to hear, mostly the unable to trace prime part." Hold up! I have a chip lodged in my behind that lets Uncle Sam know when I stop for donuts, but we can't track down prime?" Asked agent Fowler, wanting to make sure what he is hearing is correct, and sadly it is.

"The Decepticons must be blocking his signal, like we did with Megatron when he was here." Said Ratchet, knowing that is probably the reason they are unable to track down Optimus.

Grimlock felt like he should remind everyone that finding primes location is pointless without a way home." If we find prime and bring him here, what then? We have no way home." Said Grimlock, reminding them that they are stuck on planet dirt/Earth.

Everyone knows that Grimlocks right, but still, they must get Optimus out of Megatrons clutches." We will find a way to cybertron. Even if we don't, we must find Optimus at all cost." Said Ratchet, not wanting to leave Optimus with the Decepticons for to long.

Time skip...

Days pass and so far, no luck with finding the blank minded prime. Grimlock had Primes team split into two groups, both scouring the globe for any signs of Optimus or the con warship while him and his team, and there two newest members, stayed at the base incase of any Decepticon activity.

The Decepticons have been quiet for some time now, but they finally slipped up. Because of this, Agent Fowler calls the base." Grimlock! You there?!" Asked Agent Fowler since with prime gone, Grimlock now leads.

Grimlock and his team were nearby luckily, having came back from training the newest recruits. Grimlock had trained with Sol to help her focus on her fierce strength while Caydtronus took on the rest of the demolition force for his training." What is it Fowler? Con's?" Grimlock asked as he walked over to the computers with his team.

Agent Fowler nodded a bit, it was in fact cons." Yeah, they're hitting the same place they hit a few months ago." Said Agent Fowler, informing the big guy.

This got ratchet thinking." If that was the case then the Decepticons must be attempting to rebuild the spacebridge." Said Ratchet. That is not good. With the spacebridge, Megatron would be able to bring some undead Cybertronians back to earth.

Everyone saw this as a bad thing, except Sol and Caydtronus." Fowler, evacuate the humans and let the cons take what they need." Said Caydtronus, shocking everyone in the room.

Fowler was about to tell him how crazy he sounds, but a few autobots in the room understand why Caydtronus said that. So with Grimlock being one of them, he supports Caydtronus's request." Do what he says. Get those flesh bags out of there and let the cons go." Ordered Grimlock, fully on board with what Caydtronus said.

Fowler thought against it but then nodded and then hangs up. After that, everyone looked over at Caydtronus and Grimlock for an explanation." Is your head scrambled? Do you need your heck checked out?" Asked Whirl, wondering if Caydtronus has lost it.

Caydtronus shakes his head a bit." I am alright. The reason why I said that is so the cons can build us a way to cybertron for us and then we take the spacebridge from them." Said Caydtronus, telling them the plan he just made up on the spot.

That was actually a good idea, but there was a slight issue with that plan." But the only problem with that plan is we have no idea where the Spacebridge is." Said Sol.

That was true, but now they at least have some kind of direction to go instead of just blindly searching for signs of Optimus." I will try to locate the energy signature of the spacebridge." Said Ratchet as he goes to work on locating the spacebridge bridge.

After that, everyone in the room, minus Que, left to get some more training in since that was all that could be done at the time being.

Another Time Skip...

A few more days go by and so far, no luck in finding Optimus or the Cons spacebridge. However, when all hoped seemed loss, an unlikely source would help them.

Currently it was late at night and most the autobots were resting and refueling, except Ratchet, Caydtronus, and Sol. The three of them were discussing some things, mostly about cybertron and what to expect when they go there." There may still be some living things on cybertron, most likely scraplets and some Insecticons. So be extremely careful once you two get there." Said Ratchet, telling the two of the dangers on cybertron.

The two nodded a bit." Of course. But we shouldn't be worrying about that stuff till we actually locate the spacebridge." Said Caydtronus, not thinking about that and more focused on actually finding the spacebridge so they can get to cybertron.

"Yeah cause without that, no trip to another planet." Said Sol, a bit excited that she may the chance to go to another world, but she knows that there will be no trip to cybertron without the location of the spacebridge.

Ratchet nodded a bit and was about to tell them to get some rest, but then something appeared on the computers, it was a message." Strange..." Ratchet checks it out and very quickly learns that it is a message from...starscream." It's a message from starscream." Said Ratchet, notifying the two immediately.

Caydtronus and Sol were surprised by this since they thought starscream would never show his face again after what they heard Arcee do to him." What does that high heeled freak want?" Asked Sol, curiosity getting the better of her:

"I am injured and am in need of medical treatment. I have some information regarding your leader." Ratchet read out what starscreams message said.

This got them all thinking that perhaps starscream might know the location of the spacebridge, if he does then it would be a bonus to if he knows the location of Optimus.

So after one groundbridge later, the trio found themselves out in the woods and a leaking starscream. When starscream saw ratchet, he was relieved, but when he saw Caydtronus and Sol, he freaked the fuck out." By the all spark!! Where did you find these two?! And why didn't you come alone?!" Asked Starscream, freaked out by how big those two are.

Caydtronus and Sol both had their battle masks on. Caydtronus's mask was Megatronus primes mask while Sols mask was Solus primes mask, both not saying a word but both were glaring at the seeker." Doesn't matter, start talking...now." Said Ratchet, holding a Cybertronian sized medical kit.

"First, patch me up, then i might tell you." Said Starscream, thinking he has the upper hand since he's the one with the information.

But he was wrong. Caydtronus wasn't gonna put up with this, so he aims his fusion at Starscream, scaring the double crosser coward immensely." Talk, now." Said Caydtronus as he began to charge up his fusion cannon.

This scares the seeker quite a bit." I'll talk! I'll talk! Please don't kill me!" Said Starscream, begging for his life.

Caydtronus powers down his fusion cannon but keeps it pointed at Starscream." Fine, but you better have something useful." Said Caydtronus.

Sol decided to add something."And if you don't, then we will drag you back to base where Arcee can end your pathetic life." Said Sol, enjoying the scared expression on the screamers face when she said that.

Starscream nodded and then spilled the beans about how Optimus has no memories, is on the Nemesis, and thinks he's a con. But they all already knew that." We already know that. Got anything else? What about the location of the spacebridge the cons are building?"Asked Caydtronus.

Starscream was about to tell them that he had no more information, that is till Caydtronus brought up the spacebridge." What?! They're rebuilding the spacebridge without my supervision?!" Asked Starscream, shocked that the Decepticons would do such a thing.

This was more like it. So after getting the information from Starscream and then patching him up, the three headed back to base to get the others ready for tomorrow to take the spacebridge by force.

The next day, Everyone, plus agent Fowler, Lily, and Raf was gathered up in the main area of the base, discussing something's." Once the spacebridge is secure, we will send Caydtronus and Sol through so that they may find Vector sigma." Said Ratchet, showing the location of the spacebridge on the computer while explaining the plan.

That was good news, but there was a question whirl couldn't help but ask."Hey doc, where did you get this information?" Asked Whirl, being a bit curious.

Ratchet is silent for a while, as is Sol and Caydtronus." Uh...from a reliable source." That was all ratchet would say.

That's all Grimlock needed to hear, now was the time to issue some orders." Alright, Me, my team, Ratchet and hound will secure the spacebridge. The rest of you wait here." Ordered Grimlock, everyone nodded as those who would go prepare themselves.

After everyone was ready, Que opens the groundbridge." Good luck lads, lasses." Said Que, wishing them all luck before they head off.

Everyone nodded as they started to head on through. But before Caydtronus and Sol headed on through, Lily spoke up."Be safe sweetie! You to Sol!" Said Lily, wishing the two luck and safety.

The two smiled at this and both nodded as they then head on through.

The group arrived in a cave and began walking around, being silent, well as silently as possible for a group of autobots known for being loud.The team soon came across two vehicons have what appears to be a very deep and meaningful conversation."Hey."

The other vehicon looks at his buddy."Yeah?"

"You ever wonder why we're here?" Asked the vehicon as he looked at his friend, wanting to know what they're here.

The vehicon takes this the wrong way and just uploads something he's been waiting to share for a long time."It's one of life's greatest mysteries, isn't it? Why ARE we here? I mean, are we the product of... some cosmic coincidence, or... does Primus really exist- watching everything? Y'know, with a plan for us, and stuff? I dunno, man. But it keeps me up at night."

After that the two vehicons just stand there in silence for a long while before one of them speaks up. "What? I meant, why are we here, in this cave?" That was what the vehicon meant, not that thing.

"Oh, uh... yeah. " The other Vehicon no felt a bit embarrassed but tried to play it off.

The Vehicon noticed this and decided to try learn more."What was all of that stuff about Primus?"

"Uh... hmm? Nothing." The other vehicon plays it off like nothing at all.

"You wanna talk about it?" The vehicon asked, willing to lend an ear for his pal since there's clearly something with him.

"No."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

Things were pretty awkward now, but luckily Sol steps in to make things less awkward. Sol comes up from behind, towering them as she grabs them by their heads and bash them together, knocking them out and possible causing some brain damage." Nighty night." She said with a grin.

That caught the attention of some of the other vehicons, but that did not matter as they were soon dealt with by some of the others with little to no effort.

After that, the team secured the spacebridge and prepped it for Cybertron. Caydtronus and Sol stared at the spacebridge for a while, both mentally preparing themselves for what they're about to do." You ready for this?" Asked Caydtronus.

Sol smirked a bit as she looked at him." I was born ready." She said, eager to go to cybertron.

The spacebridge soon activated and the time to go was now." Find Vector sigma and then get back here as quick as possible." Said Grimlock, wanting them to hurry up when over on cybertron and then get back here.

The two nodded a bit as they both transform into their car modes and drive on through the spacebridge portal.

Once on the other side, the two transformed to robot mode, both having a look around. What they saw shocked them very much. Cybertron was in way worse conditions than they first thought." Look at this place...barely anything standing." Said Sol, feeling bad for all Cybertronians that their home is in ruins.

Caydtronus felt the same way, but the time to feel bad would have to wait." We must focus on the mission at hand. Optimus needs us." Said Caydtronus, reminding her of what is at stake here.

Sol nods a bit." Right." After that, Caydtronus uses the key to help guide them to the location of vector sigma.

After a while,The two end up in kaon, the city that used to be a normal city till megatron turned it into the capital of the cons. After arriving in Kaon, they both walked around a bit till eventually, the ground began to shake as something rises from the ground, a tunnel of sorts." Huh, seems like Vector sigma is just ahead." Said Caydtronus, about to head in with Sol.

Just as they were about to head on in, loud screeching sounds were heard from behind them. They both turned around and saw a whole bunch of Insecticons coming right for them, hungry for some Cybertronian steel and Energon. Caydtronus was about to attack them, but Sol stops him." I got this, you just get those memories downloaded." Said Sol with a grin as she then runs at the bugs, going to destroy them all.

"Primus I love that woman." Said Caydtronus to himself as he then runs into the tunnel, heading right for vector sigma.

While he did that, Sol fought off the swarms of insecticons,being as brutal and destructive as she can. Sol tears one apart and uses its torn body like brass knuckles for some of the bugs till the torn body was useless."Grimlock was right! Tearing Insecticons apart feels great!" Said Sol out loud as she keeps on fighting.

During the battle, Sol heard four new sounds, each kinda sounded like Grimlocks Dino mode in a way. It also helped that the ground shakes quite a bit and the Insecticons began to flee immediately. Sol looks around for the source of these strange noises, she soon does but gasped a bit at what she's sees." Holy shit..."

Meanwhile with Caydtronus, he booked it through the tunnels, wanting to hurry up so he can rejoin Sol and blast a few bugs on the way back to earth.

It didn't take long at all for Caydtronus to reach vector sigma. After arriving, Caydtronus pulled out the key and then sets it down. After doing that, it activated and began downloading." So far so go-." Caydtronus stops as he heard a very familiar sound.

Caydtronus turns around quickly and spotted a whole swarm of scraplets, munching on the walls. If he was still human, he wouldn't have had to worry about this, but since Cayde no longer exists and is now Caydtronus, he very much has to worry about them. So without hesitation, Caydtronus rapidly fires his fusion cannon at them.

Thankfully they were all mostly grouped up so a single shot took care of a whole lot of them and Caydtronus didn't waste time to allow them to spot him so he got to kill them all with a few shots before they could even look at him." Not today, not ever." Said Caydtronus as he turns his attention back to the Key.

The download was soon complete and Caydtronus smiled a bit as he snagged it. After that he then sprints out and leaves vector sigma, eventually reaching the outside. But when he did, he saw something rather unexpected.

Sol was chatting with four Cybertronians, they appeared to have Autobot insignias so that was good. And they were a bit large, but not as large as Grimlock or them, but closer to Grimlocks size." Grimlock is gonna be glad to see you guys." Said Sol with a smile.

Caydtronus walked over, gaining everyone's attention." Sol, mission accomplished. But on an unrelated note...who are your new friends?" He asked, looking down at the four strange autobots. There color scheme and designs reminded him of Grimlocks.

Sol grins as she looked at her boyfriend." Babe, meet swoop,slug, snarl, and sludge. These guys are grimlocks original team!" Said Sol. She can't wait to bring these guys back with them so she can see the look on Grimlocks face.

This was very shocking to hear. Caydtronus would have never expected to find these guys here and alive." It would seem luck is on our side today, but if we should get going to the spacebridge portal." Said Caydtronus with a small smile.

The dinobots were on board with this immediately since they have been looking for a way off cybertron for some time now." Let's get the hell outta here! I wanna fly around in some clear sky's!" Said Swoop, eager to get off cybertron.

The others agreed with swoop, wanting to leave now. Caydtronus and Sol nodded as they both transformed. Sol to her vehicle mode and Caydtronus to his blackbird jet mode.

After the dinobots transformed, they followed after Sol while Caydtronus flies ahead, wanting to check and make sure the spacebridge portal is still open and not closed. It was thankfully, so Caydtronus transforms midair and landed near the portal, standing there and waiting for the others to arrive.

Once they all made it, they all then headed on through, heading back to earth. Sol and Caydtronus headed through first to prepare the surprise of a lifetime to Grimlock.

When the two made it through, they saw the others just standing around, but not just them, Orion pax was with them. He waved at the two arriving." How'd he get here?" Asked Sol, surprised by Orion being here.

"While we awaited you and Caydtronus's return, Megatron arrived to attempt to find the key and destroy it. But Grimlock reminded Megatron who was the superior one between them." Said Skyquake as he looked over at Grimlock.

Grimlock nodded a bit." After thrashing around megatron, Orion here arrived while megatron fled like a coward." Said Grimlock, retelling the events of what happened.

"We were pretty surprised to see him, but it made things a whole lot easier." Said Arcee, glad that they now don't have to find Optimus anymore.

Speaking of surprises, Caydtronus and Sol both grinned a bit as they move away from the spacebridge." Speaking of Surprises..." Sol pointed at the space bridge, causing all eyes to look over at the spacebridge.

The moment the dinobots made it through and they spotted Grimlock, they ran over to the now stunned Leader." Grimlock/Boss!" The dinobots were overjoyed to see their leader again.

The others were surprised by this, but no one was more surprised than Grimlock for obvious reasons." Brothers...Your all alive." Said Grimlock, he is glad to be reunited with his old team again, alive and well.

While Grimlock and his brothers have their little reunion, Caydtronus and Sol walk over to Orion, the time to restore the prime's memories is now." Are you ready to become Optimus prime again?" Asked Caydtronus as he holds the key in his hand.

Orion is conflicted a bit." I am...but are you certain I am worthy?" Asked Orion, having no idea what he said was so funny and stupid.

"Oh you have no idea Op." said Sol with a smile as she watched the key float down from Caydtronus fingers moved to Orions chest.

Orions chest opens up and reveals the matrix of leadership. Once revealed, the key began uploading into the matrix, the other noticing this and walked over.

Soon enoughc the key had completed its task and then Orion takes the key, holding it." Prime, you back?" Asked Grimlock, stared down at Orion.

"Yes Grimlock, I am back." Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots was official back!

Mostly everyone cheered at this, having Optimus back was great. But a question hangs in the mind of Caydtronus, what did Orion pax do while on board the Decepticon warship? And how badly will they pay the price for when they find out?
