The Ceremony
Leanbow's displeasure was apparent but he didn't say anything as the sorcerer of Rootcore called upon her, and held out the wand of the water.
Udonna bowed before accepting it, and went to stand by the newly assembled team of mystics.
She was the blue mystic, which was fitting, since water has been long associated with the healing arts, and for the past decade, she had devoted her life to curing maladies, treating wounds, and breaking curses. Beside her, was the wielder of the pink wand of wind, a dark skinned beautiful woman with long white hair, who had introduced herself as Nora Ashaki.
On her other side was Leanbow holding the wand of fire, and beside him, were the wielders of the yellow and green wands, Neville Langtree and Lena Runetail. Both were knights of the realm who served alongside Leanbow.
There were others in the chamber.
Prince Lyon, the wielder of the sixth wand of the frost and white mystic, commonly known by the denizens of their dimension as the Snow Prince.
Her sister, Niella, the Gatekeeper.
Knight squires who were being trained by Leanbow- Calindor Makarov the thunder knight, Daggeron Darhk the Solaris Knight, and others.
Villagers and forest dwellers, who had sworn their fealty to the Mystic Force.
The sorceress smiled, as she completed the wand choosing ceremony, and the small group of people assembled there rejoiced.
All these people believed in them… in her, and they hadn't done anything yet.
The darkness had razed entire villages to the ground in their initial attack.
Udonna grimaced, turning to look at Leanbow, who met her eyes.
He was just as afraid as her, despite all that he has accomplished… all the battles he had won… all the enemies he had vanquished.
"We will get through this." She found herself whispering. "For everyone who believes in us."
"For Bowen." He said.
"For Bowen." She agreed, just before the crystal ball turned pitch black and showed the hidiacs attacking another village.
"It's time." Leanbow said, all hesitation gone from his voice, as he lifted his wand. Udonna did the same, and saw the other four follow suit.
"Magical Source, Mystic Force!"
Lena, Neville and Nora are my original characters. The former two have appeared in some of my other stories, while the later was created for this story, and her appearance as well as last name was inspired by a popular comic character- Storm, the mutant superhero with weather manipulation abilities from Marvel, and Ashaki is from the name of her ancestor, who was a witch.
There are two other minor Easter eggs from other fandoms. Daggeron and Calindor's last names. Darhk is from Damien Darhk, a dark magic user from DC, and Makarov is from Makarov Dreyar, a character from Fairy Tail. Lyon is also named after the character of the same name from Fairy Tail, who is an ice magic user. An early version of the character, who was meant to be Udonna and Niella's older brother, had been named Ullin.
Thanks for the review, You Don't Know Me150! You have no idea how much I relate to everything you have said. Udonna is one of the most resilient characters in the entire series. Mystic Force is such an underrated season and deserves more love! :)
