"It's a new day, let's go!"

Anne woke up to the voices outside the cabin, and she could feel the light on her face through the windows. There had been a storm the night before. Frederick had said that it wasn't particularly bad, but she was still getting used to the motion of the waves, and she had gone to bed earlier than usual.

The cabin door opened.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Better," she replied. "I should get up."

"You don't have to," he assured her, rubbing her back.

She smiled, slowly sitting up. "I think I'm ready."
