Rejuvenated from a good night's sleep after helping Dr. Cranston start to feel better after having a long period of grieving after Billy's death, Helen Lee Scott wandered into Jason's and Malcolm's bedroom to see how Malcolm was feeling after being sick the night before. Jason was sound asleep in bed, but Malcolm's bed was made and a small note was on top of it. Frowning, Helen picked up the note.

Mom, Dad, and Jason:

I woke up at about four a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep, so I got dressed and decided to go for a walk around Angel Grove to gather my thoughts. If I'm not back by breakfast, don't worry; I'll get something…

"Mom?"

Helen looked up and saw Jason sitting up in bed, peering at her through tired eyes, "I didn't mean to wake you, Jason," she apologized as she smiled at her son. "It seems Malcolm went out for a walk."

"A walk?" Jason replied groggily, frowning at his mother. "Malcolm wasn't feeling well last night…"

Helen nodded, "Mom, Malcolm said last night that he was having trouble feeling anything," Jason said in a worried voice as he sat up in bed. "I don't know much about depression, but do you think that's…?"

"Jason, Malcolm, I've got the day off today," Thomas said in a cheerful voice as he entered the room, immediately looking worried when he saw Malcolm's bed empty. "Jason, Helen, where's Malcolm?"

Jason looked up at his father, "I need to talk to both of you," he replied in a concerned voice.

Rays of the rising sun shone through Adam's window and he promptly sat up on the cot that he had slept on the night before while letting Rocky take his bed. To his relief, Rocky was still sound asleep under the covers with the IV still in his hand while the half-filled bag rested on the bedside table.

Taking great care not to wake Rocky up, Adam got out of bed and, after putting his slippers and housecoat on over his sweats and shirt, he left the room. When Adam reached the kitchen, he was surprised to see Justin up and at the stove, quietly cooking some sausages, eggs, and bacon.

"Justin, what are you doing up so early?" Adam asked in a concerned voice. "It's Saturday."

Justin sighed, "Doctor Oliver got up around five and left, so I thought I'd get up and make breakfast for everyone," he replied softly as he sifted the eggs with a spatula. "It's something good I can do."

"I didn't know that you knew how to cook like that," Adam replied softly. "Where'd you learn?"

Justin looked up at Adam, "Doctor Oliver taught me since he didn't think I should eat sugary cereal for breakfast every morning and I was lucky to even get that when I lived with my dad," he replied softly.

Adam nodded, "Do you want some help?" he asked in a kind voice. "You look a little tired."

"I'm fine," Justin replied, turning back to the stove just as Ashley came into the kitchen in her yellow PJ's, a white robe, and yellow slippers. "Do you think we can be good Power Rangers without guidance?"

Ashley scoffed, "Justin, we can get guidance from each other," she spoke softly. "We'll be fine."

"Whatever happened to that Dimitria lady who gave us our powers?" Justin asked worriedly.

Adam frowned, "I'm sure that when the Power Rangers are needed again, you'll all be given what you need to defeat whatever problem may come," he replied in a reassuring voice. "Just have faith."

"Yes, you stupid little Blue Ranger brat," Zedd grunted as he peered through Rita's Spy Globe at Justin while struggling to stay warm in the cave hideout that he and a few allies were hiding it. "Just sit there."

Zedd chuckled evilly as he stepped out of the small cave and inadvertently spotted two figures walking along the beach; rather, a young man was holding to a woman's arm as they walked across the sand.

"Could it be?" Zedd grunted to himself, gasping as he recognized Mark and Katherine. "It is!"

Unaware that Zedd was watching them, Katherine was helping Mark walk across the sand close to the water to help him be in better touch with the rest of his senses, "Kat, something's not right," Mark suddenly spoke in an anxious voice, freezing in place as he felt an intense coldness wash over him.

"Mark, is it getting too cold for you?" Katherine asked worriedly. "We can get your jacket from the car."

Mark shook his head and immediately let go of Katherine's hand, "Kat, you need to get out of here," he said in an anxious voice as memories of the past flooded his mind. "I can feel some real evil nearby."

Katherine frowned and looked around, not able to see anyone but a lone figure walking further down the beach that looked suspiciously like Malcolm, "Zedd is here," Mark breathed in an anxious voice.

"What?" Katherine replied in a concerned voice. "Mark, how do you know that Zedd's here?"

Mark frowned, "Your brother's a smart boy," Zedd growled as he jumped down in front of them.

"What do you want, Zedd?" Katherine asked in an anxious voice, determined to protect Mark from him.

Zedd chuckled, "Your brother's power will be enough to rescue my Rita," he replied gruffly. "NOW!"

"Zedd, I thought we defeated you!" Malcolm spoke up as he walked quickly over to the small group.

Zedd grunted, "This isn't over!" he snapped, aggravated that he was suddenly outnumbered and alone.

Before Malcolm, Katherine, or Mark could react, Zedd held his palms out at Malcolm and began to speak one of the few spells he had enough power to cast. Quickly figuring out where Malcolm was standing, Mark instinctively moved away from Katherine, got in front of Malcolm, and anxiously raised his fists.

"You stupid little blind brat!" Zedd howled anxiously. "What are you going to do to me with those?!"

Mark said nothing for a moment, "The power of the heart can do amazing things, as can the power of a human spirit," he replied in a determined voice. "I may be blind, but that doesn't mean I'm helpless."

A wind suddenly cropped up and Zedd immediately backed away, "You aren't the Power Rangers anymore!" he howled in an anxious voice. "Where is this power coming from that weakens me?!"

As Zedd vanished, Malcolm slowly sank to the sand, "Kat, get Mark out of here," he said in a pained voice as he felt lightheaded and weak from the encounter with Zedd. "I just need to be alone."

"Malcolm, are you okay?" Katherine asked in a concerned voice, seeing that Malcolm looked tired.

Malcolm sighed, "I'm feeling a little weak, but it'll pass if I sit here long enough," he replied softly.

"Malcolm, I have the car this morning," Katherine replied gently. "Let Mark and I take you home."

Malcolm shook his head, "Kat, please, I just need time alone to think," he replied anxiously. "I've been struggling to feel something for a long time now and I don't think anything but meditation will help."

Katherine frowned, "Malcolm, please," she said in a worried voice. "You've got a lot of people who care about you and have probably noticed that something's wrong. It's not exactly warm out here today."

Malcolm was quiet for a moment, "I just don't want to be seen as crazy," he replied nervously.

Katherine responded by offering her hand, which Malcolm reluctantly took and stood up, "It'll be okay, Malcolm," she said in a reassuring voice as she smiled at her boyfriend. "Talking is the best way to heal."

As Malcolm walked across the sand with Mark and Katherine, Mark was silently wondering why Zedd had tried to come after him again; was he more than just a blind person? Did he have special powers?

"I really do not want or need a wheelchair," Laura insisted anxiously as she put on a sweater over the overalls and t-shirt she was wearing while gazing at the empty wheelchair that Dr. Oliver and a nurse were standing next to. "I wasn't even operated on, so I'm not sore. All I needed was rest and I got it."

Dr. Oliver sighed patiently, "Laura, please, it is hospital policy," he replied gently. "Let's get going."

Laura, however, didn't get in the wheelchair and instead silently left the hospital room, "Come back here this instant, young lady!" the nurse snapped as she chased after Laura and grabbed her arm.

Instinctively, Laura froze and began to feel very lightheaded, "Get your hands off her, please," she heard Dr. Oliver say in an unusually sharp voice as she felt the grip on her arm loosen. "Laura, are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine," Laura replied in an anxious voice even though she felt like she was about to cry loudly.

Dr. Oliver nodded and looked at the nurse, "Look, I know you're trying to keep to policy, but I can handle things from here," he said in a firm voice. "Perhaps you should re-evaluate your methods of response."

Put off by Dr. Oliver's firmness, the nurse huffed and walked off, "I'm sorry for freaking out, but I don't like being grabbed aggressively," Laura replied nervously. "Can we just go back to your house now?"

"Of course," Dr. Oliver replied in a reassuring voice. "Tommy's waiting in the car in front of the ER."

Laura nodded and kept quiet as she and Dr. Oliver went down to the emergency room via the elevator, deeply relieved to be leaving the hospital. Her relief turned to concern, however, when she saw Zack standing in the hallway talking with a concerned looking Dr. Cranston and a mystified Detective Stone.

"Ah, Doctor Oliver, we were just discussing you," Detective Stone said in an official voice as he spotted Dr. Oliver and Laura nearby. "I'm afraid that there's a problem that I need your help in addressing."

Laura frowned when she turned, looked through the glass, and saw Bulk lying unconscious on a gurney wrapped in pajamas and blankets with IV's in each of his arms and an oxygen mask on his pale face. A nurse was standing near the bed, silently checking the machines that Bulk's body was attached to.

"What happened to Farkas?" Laura asked in a concerned voice. "He doesn't look very well."

Detective Stone frowned, "Miss Hammond, how well do you know Mister Bulkmeier's situation?" he asked in a concerned voice as he gave Laura a worried look. "Any information would be helpful."

"I only know that he doesn't get along with his folks, sir," Laura replied in a concerned voice.

Before anyone could press Laura further, she silently entered Bulk's room just as Bulk slowly woke and froze at seeing her there, "Where am I?" he asked in a nervous voice, pulling the mask off his face.

Laura didn't know what to say, but before she had a chance to think of something, the door opened again and Dr. Oliver and Detective Stone came into the room, "Did I do something illegal?" Bulk asked in a nervous voice, his eyes wide as Dr. Oliver and Detective Stone approached him. "What happened?"

"Zack Taylor told me that you passed out in the kitchen at the Youth Center last night," Detective Stone replied in a concerned voice, concerned by Bulk's fear. "I tried to contact your parents, but I couldn't…"

Bulk lowered his head and closed his eyes and Laura suddenly realized that Bulk was much worse off than he had let on, "Mister Bulkmeier, how are you feeling?" Dr. Cranston asked gently as he came into the room and over to Bulk's bedside. "If you want to rest some more, I can ask everyone to leave."

"No, it's all right," Bulk replied nervously. "I'm just really tired and a little overwhelmed about all this."

Dr. Oliver sighed, "Mister Bulkmeier, would it be all right if I talked to Detective Stone and Doctor Cranston about some of what you and I have talked about?" he asked in a concerned voice.

Bulk nodded, but didn't open his eyes, "Feel better soon, Farkas," Laura said in a quiet voice as she left the room with Dr. Oliver, Detective Stone, and Dr. Cranston. "I'm just going to wait outside, okay?"

Dr. Oliver nodded and Laura took off down the hall with tears in her eyes over Bulk's problematic situation. She was so deep in thought as she left the hospital that she didn't notice a young man with short, spiky hair leaning against Dr. Oliver's car with a box under one arm and keys in the other hand.

"Laura?" Tommy called out in a cheerful voice. "Where's my uncle? Are you all ready to go?"

Laura froze at seeing Tommy with short hair, "What did you do to your hair?" she asked anxiously.

"I'll explain later," Tommy replied cheerfully as he saw his uncle come out of the hospital. "Hey."

Even though Dr. Oliver was dreading the meeting he was to have later with Detective Stone, Bulk, and Dr. Cranston, he smiled at Tommy, "We can go home now," he said in a cheerful voice. "Keys, please."

Ignoring Laura's shocked look about his hair, Tommy handed the keys to his uncle and sighed cheerfully.

"Kat, I just want to sit in the car and listen to some music while you and Malcolm are inside," Mark commented as Kat parked the car in front of the Lee Scott's house. "Feel better soon, Malcolm."

Katherine smiled as Malcolm got out of the car, "I won't take very long, Mark," she promised.

Neither Katherine nor Malcolm spoke as they walked up to the house and Malcolm opened the front door, surprised when Helen and Jason both greeted him with a warm hug, "Are you all right?" Helen asked in a concerned voice as she allowed Malcolm and Katherine into the house. "Oh, you're cold!"

"I just went for a walk to the beach," Malcolm replied nervously. "I wasn't feeling well."

Helen nodded and Thomas came into the foyer and immediately hugged Malcolm, "Thank you so much for bringing Malcolm home safely, Katherine," he said in a relieved voice. "If we had lost him…"

There was a heavy silence as Thomas, Helen, Jason, Malcolm, and Katherine all went into the living room and sat down on various chairs, "Malcolm, can we talk about your dad for a few minutes?" Thomas asked in a quiet voice as he gazed at his tired nephew. "You remind me a lot like how he was."

Malcolm was quiet, so Thomas continued, "Your dad was very shy as a kid and sadly, he got bullied a lot because he was different than most kids," he explained gently. "I talked him into martial arts because I thought it would help his confidence and it did, but he bottled all his negative feelings up inside of him."

"Dad was always a really quiet man when it came to himself," Malcolm replied softly. "He was always there to listen when I wanted to talk, though, and so was Mom; she listened however she was able to."

Thomas nodded, "I'm a little frightened that you're keeping feelings bottled up inside of you now, Malcolm," he said in a concerned voice. "We held a service for your parents and I think that helped a little, but then you had a very close friend pass away and you reverted to how you were when you first got here; you're nervous, reluctant to be in anyone's company, and I'm scared to death for you, kiddo."

"I started seeing Doctor Oliver at school when I first moved here, but then I ended up becoming a Power Ranger and I sorta forgot about myself," Malcolm replied quietly, remembering all the rigor he put himself through to balance school and being a Power Ranger. "Sometimes, it really took a toll on me and I just feel so empty and useless now because it's all gone; like when after my parents were killed."

Jason sighed softly, "Malcolm, your real power doesn't come from a Morpher," he replied softly, able to empathize since he had lost his own powers. "Your real power comes from what you have inside you."

Malcolm nodded and sighed sleepily, "I'm sorry that I've been so closed off," he replied softly as he looked at Kat, Jason, and then his aunt and uncle. "I guess I need to start thinking about myself."

"Malcolm, I'm going to take Mark home," Katherine said softly, knowing that Malcolm needed to spend time with his family as she stood up and squeezed his hand before she silently left the family room.

Malcolm slouched on the couch, "Uncle Thomas, could you tell me more about my dad?" he asked softly, having never really gotten an opportunity to learn about his parents when they were young.

Dr. Oliver, Tommy, and Laura entered the house and were shocked to see Adam, Justin, and Ashley all standing in front of the closed bathroom door looking worried, "What's wrong?" Dr. Oliver asked in a concerned voice as he walked over to the bathroom. "I smell breakfast; how come nobody's eating?"

Justin and Ashley immediately turned and gaped at seeing Tommy with short hair, but Adam remained facing the door, "Rocky woke up with big patches of hair on his pillow and he locked himself in the bathroom," Adam explained in a worried voice as he knocked on the door. "Doctor Oliver's back!"

There was silence followed by retching sounds, "Justin, Ashley, why don't we go eat some of that wonderful smelling breakfast?" Laura gently suggested, wanting to keep Justin and Ashley from worrying about Rocky and also wanting to allow Rocky the dignity of being sick from chemo.

Justin opened his mouth as if to argue, but Laura quickly put her arms around him and Ashley and led them off to the kitchen, "Rocky, please unlock the door," Dr. Oliver said in a gentle, but firm voice.

A few moments of silence passed and there was a click, meaning that Rocky had unlocked the door, but it took another minute before the door opened. Rocky was leaning heavily against the door frame, struggling to calm down while sweat and tears streamed down his balding head, face, and pajamas.

"I-I'm sorry," was all Rocky managed to say in an anxious, quiet voice. "I just freaked out and got sick."

Dr. Oliver sighed patiently and Adam immediately came forward and helped Rocky away from the doorframe, allowing his friend to lean on him for support, "I need to go to bed," Rocky whispered.

"I'd rather you lie on the couch in the den where it'll be easier to keep an eye on you," Dr. Oliver replied calmly, concerned by how sick Rocky looked. "If you can't keep anything down, you'll need IV fluids."

Rocky groaned softly, but didn't argue, "Come on, Rocky," Adam said in a gentle voice. "Let's go."

Groaning softly, Rocky took a step forward and his knees immediately buckled, "I got you," Tommy said in an anxious voice as he hurried over and helped Adam hold Rocky up. "Come on, Adam, I'll help."

Dr. Oliver sighed tiredly as Adam and Tommy helped Rocky walk to the den and he was about to join Laura, Justin, and Ashley in the kitchen for breakfast when he suddenly felt everything go white.

"Frank, former warrior, I am Dulcea," Frank heard a feminine voice speak. "You serve as a mentor, friend, and parental figure to the past and current Power Rangers. Those Rangers must have a new base."

An image of the beach house came to Frank's mind and he saw Dimitria appear in the well-equipped secret basement of the house, as if she were waiting for the Rangers, "There will soon be a great work for the Power Rangers to do and they must prepare," Dulcea said softly. "Gather them to this place."

"Uncle Frank?"

Dr. Oliver opened his eyes and saw Tommy standing there, staring at him with a worried expression on his face, "Tommy, what is it?" he asked in a slightly distracted voice. "Is Rocky settled on the couch?"

"Yeah, Rocky's on the couch," Tommy replied in a concerned voice. "Uncle Frank, are you all right?"

Dr. Oliver nodded, "Ashley, Justin, can you come here for a minute?" he called out as he reached into his pocket, pulled out a sticky note and pen, and scribbled something on the sticky note. "We need to talk."

There was movement and then Ashley and Justin came out into the front area, "Put this location into your morphers and teleport there immediately," Dr. Oliver instructed as he handed the sticky note to Justin. "Once you're there, contact TJ and Cassie and teleport them there. You're needed there now."

Justin nodded and inputted the location into his watch before handing the sticky to Ashley. Almost immediately, the two disappeared in blue and yellow flashes of light, causing Tommy to sigh heavily.

"I remember when that was me," Tommy replied in a despondent voice. "It feels so strange not…"

Dr. Oliver sighed patiently, "You all will soon have different ways in which you can help the world become a better place, Tommy," he replied gently. "Now, do I need to call paramedics for Rocky?"

"NO!" Rocky's anxious, but very weak shout echoed in from the den. "I'm not going back there!"

Frowning, Dr. Oliver silently walked into the den and saw Adam kneeling beside Rocky, struggling to keep Rocky from moving, "I don't want to be in the hospital," Rocky moaned in a trembling voice.

Adam slowly stood and moved away to make room for Dr. Oliver, "Rocky, you can't seem to keep anything down and it's making you sick," Dr. Oliver said in gentle, but firm voice as he walked over to the couch and knelt down next to Rocky. "What if I were to call for paramedics to come see you here?"

Rocky sighed, moaned, and pulled the blanket further up his body even though he was trembling and shivering, "I have to do some stuff at the funeral home tomorrow," he said in an anxious voice."

Adam quietly slipped out of the room to phone Mr. Lee Scott to see if he was available as he was one of the few adults Rocky trusted and would respond to, "You're in no shape to be doing any of that," Dr. Oliver replied gently as Tommy came into the room carrying a hooded sweater. "Ah, Tommy."

"Here's something that might help," Tommy offered as he brought the sweater over to the couch.

Dr. Oliver nodded, took the sweater, and helped Rocky put it on, "Thank you," Rocky replied tiredly.

"Why don't you try to get some rest?" Dr. Oliver gently suggested, gently shunting Tommy out.

Dr. Oliver and Tommy silently made their way to the kitchen and saw Adam on the phone while Laura ate quietly at the table, "Jason's dad is just going to work now, but he'll be over with supplies in a little bit," Adam explained in a worried voice as he hung up the phone. "How's Rocky doing, Doctor Oliver?"

"I think he'll be all right," Dr. Oliver replied calmly. "Tommy, Adam, get yourselves some breakfast."

Before Tommy or Adam could reply, Dr. Oliver left the kitchen to think in the privacy of his office.

"Kat, stop the car," Mark said in an anxious voice, suddenly feeling as if something were wrong.

Katherine frowned and immediately pulled over, "Katherine, something's not right on Earth," Mark said, suddenly seeing images in his mind of Zordon being kidnapped. "I remember being called Zedison."

"Mark, what?" Katherine asked in a concerned voice. "What do you mean you remember that?"

Mark sighed, "I wasn't blinded by an accident, was I?" he asked in a concerned voice. "Katherine?"

Katherine suddenly looked worried, but she sighed, "Ivan Ooze blinded you," she replied softly.

"Then you don't think I'm crazy?" Mark asked in a somber voice. "I can remember being tortured."

Katherine smiled sadly and gently touched Mark's face, "So was I, Mark," she replied gently. "I can remember it all too, but I don't focus on it because life's too short. You don't have to focus on it."

"I've been thinking about applying to a special university for the blind that's in Los Angeles, Kat," Mark replied in a less despondent voice as he smiled at her. "I want to use my disability to help people."

"That's wonderful, Mark," Katherine replied warmly. "Is that what you've been so secretive about?"

Mark smiled and chuckled before growing serious, "Kat, I know I'm different and that's become even more apparent to me when we faced that scary guy on the beach," he explained in a somber voice as he looked ahead. "I feel like I'll soon be needed somewhere else and the university will be a good cover."

"Somewhere else?" Katherine asked in a concerned voice. "Do you think that your powers will help…?"

Mark shrugged and Katherine put the car in gear, "I'll know soon enough," he replied in a calm voice.

"Wow," Ashley breathed in a shocked voice as she looked around at the basement that looked like a high tech laboratory except for the furniture. "Justin, any luck on getting a hold of TJ and Cassie?"

Justin looked up from the control console, but before he could reply, TJ and Cassie landed in the middle of the room, "Ugh, where are we?" Cassie asked in a shocked voice, eyeing the old fashioned furniture.

There was a flash of light and Dimitria suddenly appeared on the screen, "Welcome to your new command base, Power Rangers," she said in an ethereal voice as she smiled at them. "This is where you will be given training that you will need when the time comes for your powers to be used elsewhere."

"We're sworn to protect the Earth, though," Ashley replied in a worried voice. "Where else would…?"

Dimitria smiled, "All will be revealed in due time, Ashley," she replied calmly. "Behold, your Morphers."

TJ, Cassie, Ashley, and Justin gasped as nicer versions of their Morphers suddenly appeared on each of their wrists in their designated colors, "When it is time, you will gather here together again and you will be given a new mission," DImitria said ethereally. "In the meantime, these Morphers and the Turbo Zords will be available for you whenever the need arises for you to defend Earth from evil forces. Doctor Oliver is there should you need guidance and he knows what you need to know when you need it."

"I don't understand why I was chosen," Cassie spoke up anxiously. "I have enough to do in my life."

Dimitria merely smiled and vanished in a flash of light, "What do you have to do besides go to school and do homework?" Ashley asked in a confused voice. "You've resisted this ever since you were…"

"I was given the power with a moment's notice!" Cassie cried anxiously. "I don't know how to do this!"

TJ sighed patiently, "None of us do," he replied in a calm voice. "However, we just have to do our best."

"Do you think we should talk to Doctor Oliver about what to do?" Justin suddenly spoke up very softly.

Ashley and Cassie looked surprised, "We probably should," TJ replied in a slightly commanding tone.

"Once we figure out how to get back to Dr. Oliver's house, we can," Ashley replied in an urgent voice.

"Rocky?"

Rocky opened his eyes and was surprised to see Thomas and his paramedic partner kneeling by the couch with supplies, "Can you try and sit up for me, Rocky?" Thomas asked in a concerned voice.

Even though it made Rocky want to throw up, he slowly sat up and immediately felt two fluffy pillows being slid underneath his back, "I don't want to go to the hospital til I have to do another chemo treatment," he said in a tired voice, seeing Adam lingering nervously by the door. "Dude, did you…?"

Adam nodded, "Thanks for helping me stop being stubborn," Rocky replied tiredly, suddenly wincing as Thomas silently put an IV in his hand and set the bag on top of the blanket. "What are you doing?"

"Giving you fluids," Thomas replied patiently. "If you don't want to go to the hospital, I have to do this."

Rocky sighed, "Did Jason and Malcolm come with you, Mister Lee Scott?" he asked in a tired voice.

"Jason and Malcolm are at home," Thomas replied calmly. "Speaking of which; how are you doing?"

Rocky, however, said nothing because he was fighting the urge to go back to sleep, "I got stuff to do at the funeral home tomorrow," he mumbled sleepily. "Doctor Oliver says I should just take it easy."

At that point, Adam silently slipped out of the room, "Doctor Oliver?" he called out nervously as he walked down the hall, freezing when he saw Dr. Oliver in his office. "Do you have a minute, sir?"

Dr. Oliver looked surprised at being addressed as 'sir' but he nodded, "Come in," he replied calmly.

Adam silently entered the office and closed the door, "What's going to happen to Rocky?" he asked in a concerned voice, crossing his arms as he leaned against the door. "He's got nowhere to go now."

"Adam, I honestly don't know what to tell you," Dr. Oliver replied softly. "That's up to Rocky himself."

Adam frowned, "Rocky's in no shape to deal with anything right now and he thinks he has to do everything alone," he replied in an almost angry voice. "Why does Rocky have to be so stubborn?"

"Adam, Rocky's just suffered a tremendous loss in his life and he's struggling with the recurrence of a serious illness," Dr. Oliver replied calmly. "Rocky's emotional reactions are his way of trying to deal with what he's feeling and he's also trying to test everyone around him to see if you are all truly his friends."

Adam looked confused, but said nothing, "I know it's difficult to understand, but you and Rocky have been friends for a long time and this is a very major test of your friendship, at least in his eyes," Dr. Oliver continued in a gentle voice. "Just be there for Rocky; that's all I can suggest at this time."

Before Adam could reply, there was a knock at the door and it swiftly opened, revealing Laura standing there looking concerned, "Laura, what's wrong?" Dr. Oliver asked in a concerned voice. "Are you okay?"

"I went in to the den to see how Rocky was feeling and he's scared that Justin will come back and see him like that," Laura explained in a concerned voice. "He's telling Tommy that he wants to hide."

Dr. Oliver looked thoughtful as he stood up, "Justin will have to be told eventually since he looks up to Rocky, but now is not the time for that," he replied calmly. "Adam, can you and Laura help me get Rocky into one of the unused rooms that I have? He can have privacy there to rest until he's feeling better."

Adam stood and he and Laura silently followed Dr. Oliver back to the den. All three of them were shocked to see that Rocky's trembling form was upright while Tommy and the paramedics stood nearby.

"Rocky, you don't have to run," Dr. Oliver replied gently. "I have a spare room apart from Tommy's Laura's, Adam's, Ashley's, and Justin's that you can use to rest in until you're feeling better."

Rocky blinked in surprise, but offered his IV-laden hand for someone to help him up, "It's the first door on the left past the den and right next to a bathroom," Dr. Oliver gently explained as he helped Rocky stand and walk out of the den. "I'm sure a good sleep and a bit of food will get you feeling better."

"Maybe," Rocky replied in an exhausted voice as he was helped into the room and he slowly made his way over to the bed without help. "I just need a place for the weekend and on Monday, I'll leave."

Dr. Oliver silently felt that Rocky would be using all of his strength just to go to school and wouldn't feel much like doing anything else, but he didn't make any comments, "Just lie down for a bit and I'll make you something light to eat," he said in a calming voice. "I'll also get you something easy to drink."

"Thank you," Rocky said in a tired voice as he pulled back the blankets and pulled himself into bed.

Dr. Oliver nodded and walked back down the hallway, not surprised to see Laura, Adam, and Tommy waiting in the den with Thomas and his partner, "Rocky just needs some rest and quiet, kids," he said in a calming voice. "Thomas, if there's anything you and your partner need to leave, you can leave it here."

"Make sure Rocky takes it as easy," Thomas said in a worried voice as he and his partner packed up everything except for a few IV bags and an oxygen tank. "Fluids and food should help."

Dr. Oliver nodded, "Thank you for coming," he replied in a relieved voice. "Rocky's staying over…"

"That's good," Thomas replied calmly. "I've been thinking about talking to Detective Stone to see if any volunteers can be rounded up to help pack up things that belonged to Rocky's family and handle arrangements for the memorial service so that Rocky can focus on chemotherapy and school."

Adam's eyes went wide, "You can count me in as a volunteer, sir," he replied in a nervous voice.

"You can count me in too," Tommy spoke up, wondering when to give Rocky the wig he had gotten.

Laura smiled, "I can help wherever needed," she replied, understanding what Rocky was experiencing.

"Thanks, kids," Thomas replied in a gentle voice. "I'll talk to Detective Stone and get back to all of you."

Thomas and his partner silently left with their supplies, "I know Rocky needs rest, Doctor Oliver, but can I visit him for a minute before I go lie down for a few hours?" Laura asked in a soft voice, intending to see if she still had any of her healing powers and if they could help Rocky at least be able to cope.

"I think that would be all right," Dr. Oliver replied calmly. "Tommy, Adam, why don't we put away the breakfast leftovers and clean up the kitchen? I have some work to do later, so I need to clean now."

Swallowing hard, Laura silently turned and went to Rocky's room, "Rocky?" she asked softly.

The only response Laura got was slow breathing and she silently walked over to Rocky's bedside and just as quietly placed her hand on his forehead. She could immediately feel Rocky's immense grief and sorrow over losing his family to Rita, Zedd, and Divatox and also the pain he felt over having cancer.

"By the healing power of the Ninjetti Eagle, I give you strength," Laura whispered in a calming voice, deeply relieved when she felt a surge of power pass from her to Rocky before she removed her hand.

Fortunately for Laura, Rocky continued to sleep and a peaceful expression had formed on his face involuntarily. Letting out a tired sigh, Laura silently left Rocky's room and went down the hallway, only exhaling when she was in the safety of her room and sitting on the bed so she could lie down for a rest.

An image of Ashley and the other Rangers leaving Earth to pursue Zordon's kidnappers suddenly flashed through her mind and, overwhelmed, Laura laid down and silently tried to figure out what it meant.

"Malcolm, how are you feeling?" Jason asked softly as he walked out into the backyard and saw Malcolm resting in the hammock with his ankle propped on a pillow while his body was covered by a blanket borrowed from the den. "Mom says that she's making me and you something extra to eat."

Malcolm sighed and slowly got off the hammock, keeping the blanket wrapped around him as much as he could, "I'm actually feeling better than I was earlier, but I've been thinking what you said about power coming from inside," he replied calmly. "After graduation, I want to go to school and get enough college education so that I can teach martial arts to kids and maybe someday open my own dojo. I know it's not cheap, but maybe I can work at a dojo around here for a while and somehow earn the money."

Jason nodded and sighed as they walked over to the deck and sat down, "I didn't know you stopped seeing Doctor Oliver for counseling after you became a Power Ranger," he commented in a concerned voice, worried about how pale and tired Malcolm looked. "How did you relieve any stress you felt?"

"Worked out a lot," Malcolm replied in a tired, slightly sheepish voice as he looked at Jason. "I had to do something to release the stress and I didn't want to be a bother, so I found ways to help myself out."

Jason sighed heavily, "Malcolm, you're not a bother and you will never be," he replied in a firm voice.

"I know that now," Malcolm replied calmly. "I'm going to start going to counseling sessions again with Doctor Oliver starting Monday and I'm just going to take it slow. There's no pressure on me anymore."

Fully understanding what Malcolm meant by pressure coming from serving as a Power Ranger, Jason nodded and stood up, "My ankle's starting to hurt and it's really cold all of a sudden," Malcolm said in a tired voice as he stood up and shivered. "Could we maybe go in and see if we can watch a movie?"

Jason nodded, "Sounds like a plan," he replied in a relieved voice. "I just want a quiet day too."

Deeply relieved to finally feel free to really be himself, Malcolm followed Jason into the house and into the den where the television and VCR were. Malcolm settled himself on the couch while Jason went through the movies on the shelf, "What kind of movie do you wanna watch, Malcolm?" Jason asked.

"Something funny," Malcolm replied, smiling as Helen came into the den. "Hi Mom, how are you?"

Helen smiled, "I'm just making you boys a little something to eat for a late breakfast," she replied in a gentle voice as she sat down next to Malcolm. "I'm really glad we were all able to talk this morning."

Malcolm nodded and sighed tiredly, "I'm feeling a lot better about everything," he replied softly.

"Here's a good movie," Jason commented as he walked over to the couch with a copy of The Mighty Ducks in his hand. "It's funny, but it's also something that will help us relax like we really need to. Wanna join us, Mom?"

Helen shook her head and stood up, "I'll bring you boys some food and then I have work to do," she replied gently.

Jason nodded and popped the video in the VCR before joining Malcolm on the couch and letting out a tired sigh.
