Ahhh...all is good in the town of Royal Woods. The streets are clear, the smells from the food stands are fantastic, and Lola Loud losing a beauty pageant...wait...that's not good...that's bad! That's bad!

Lola: "Augh!"

She storms out of the pageant hall with her brother, Lincoln right behind her, carrying a bunch of stuff.

Lola: "I can't believe it!"

Lincoln "I'm sorry you lost the pretty princess pageant, Lola."

Lola: "You should be!"

She turns and points a finger at him…

Lola: " Because it was all your fault!"

Lincoln: "How was it my fault? Lindsey Sweetwater had a new routine we didn't see before."

Lola turns away while crossing her arms with a huff.

Lola: "I still say she cheated though."

Lincoln (With a look of concern): "Come on Lola..."

Lola (With a pout): "Hmph!"

Having enough of seeing Lola like this, Lincoln puts the stuff down, walks over to his sister, and wraps his arms around her.

Lincoln: "It's not the end of the world Lols. There will be other pageants."

Lola: "What do you know about losing?"

Lincoln: "Well I didn't win the school talent show, and I got a ton of game overs on video games." (With a kind smile): "So...yeah. I have an idea of what it is like to give your all to something you enjoy. But… things don't go your way when you count on them too…like it or not. At least I had fun doing it."

Lola (With a little smile): "Sigh..."

She turns around and returns the hug.

Lola: "Your right Lincoln. I did have fun today, especially with having you for my pageant couch."

Lincoln (Starting to blush a bit): "Aww, thanks!"

Pretty soon the pair make it home, but as they walk through the door, they can see Lana is on the floor looking for something.

Lola: "Lana…"

Lana turns to face her siblings with tears forming in her eyes.

Lana: "Oh, Lola…sniff…Lincoln…" (Starts to cry hard): "Hops ran away! Wahaahah!"

Lola (With a look of concern): "What?"

Lincoln: "I'm sure he's around somewhere Lans." (With a kind smile): "Maybe we can help you look for him."

Lana: "You don't understand…sniff! I look everywhere. I check our favorite mud hole at the park, swam through the garbage in the Burpin'Burger's dumpster, and even look through Lisa's lab!"

Lisa ( Calling from upstairs): "I told you I didn't adduct him!"

Lana: "I'm afraid my little froggy buddy is gone for good! Wahahaha!"

Lana runs over to her brother as fast as she can, wraps her arms around his legs, and starts hugging them as hard as she can.

Lincoln: "Rgh…"

Lana (Leans her head against him): "And the worst part is...I don't know what I did to make him want to run"

Lola: "You mean hop!"

Lincoln: "Lola!"

He Looks down at Lana and strokes her head gently…

Lincoln: "Maybe Hops didn't run away Lana." (Gets an idea): "Maybe he went off searching for a new bug to snack on."

Lana: "But he would have let me know before doing something like that. Sniff! He would also ask if I wanted to go with him."

Lincoln: "Maybe he wanted to bring it back as a surprise?"

Lana: "Sniff!" (With a little smile): "That's a nice thought, Link."

Just then…

?: "Ribbit!"

Lana (Let's go of her brother): "Hops!"

Hops (Pops his head out of Lincoln's pants pocket): "Ribbit! Ribbit!" (Jumps out and into the air): "Ribbit!"

Lana (With a big smile): "Hops!" (Catches and hugs her amphibian friend): "You're here!"

Lincoln (Very confused): "Wait…" (Looks into his pants pocket): "How did he…"

Hops: "Ribbit!"

Hops takes out a gram-cracker that looks like a playing card and took a bite out of it.

Hops: "Crutch! Crutch!"

Lincoln (Not happy): "Hey! He stole my Ace Savvy crackers!"

Lana (Looks up at her brother): "You were right Lincoln! Hops was looking for a new snack to eat."

Hops (Takes out another cracker and gives it to Lana): "Ribbit!"

Lana: "And even brought one back for me!"

Lincoln: "Sigh! Well, at least Hops is home."

Lola: "How can a frog even eat crackers?"

After that ordeal, Lincoln decides to take a trip upstairs to his room, however…

Leni: "Linky!"

Leni is running towards him while bawling her eyes out.

Lincoln (Turns around): "Leni?"

But before he knew what was happening, Leni wrapped her arms around her brother and lifted him into the air.

Leni: "Oh Linky, it's terrible!"

Lincoln (With a look of concern as he looks up at his sister): "Leni, what's wrong?"

He then Sees a piece of torn clothing in one of her closed-up hands.

Lincoln "Wait…isn't that the new dress you have been sewing up?"

Leni (Nods): "Uh-huh. It took me a full month to make it. But it tore when I took it off my sewing machine. And now it's ruined!"

Lincoln: "Ah, don't cry Leni." (With a smile): "Maybe we can fix it?"

Leni: "Sniff! Really?"

Lincoln (Takes the dress and inspects it): "It doesn't seem too bad of a tear. I'm sure with some care and thread, we can fix it up as good as new."

Leni (Develops a smile of her own): "Aww! You're the best Linky." (Turns and heads towards her room): "Let's go!"

Lincoln: "Umm…Leni?" (Taps his sister's arms): "Aren't you forgetting something?"

Leni (Looks down at him): "You said we do it together. And what is a better way to do that than having you by my side?"

But the day keeps getting weirder as it goes on, as the young man keeps finding himself in the arms of one of his sisters, being hugged for comfort…

Lincoln (On Luna's beanbag chair, as he's being hugged by her): "Luna?"

Luna (Tearing up): "I fought with my bandmates bro! Sniff! And I don't even know where to begin to patch things up with them."

Luan (Joins in): "And Mr. Coconuts is at the shop getting fixed. Sniff! I miss him so much!"

To let out their feelings …with Lynn surprisingly hugging her brother from behind in the hallway.

Lynn: "Hey Linc…"

Lincoln: "Lynn?"

Lynn: "Shhh! I need this."

Lincoln: "Did something happen to you?"

Lynn (With red cheeks): "My baseball team lost the game today to the visiting team if you must know."

Lincoln (With a raised brow): "But you usually don't…"

Lynn (With her cheeks getting redder): "Just let me have this okay?!"

Then Lily comes running out of her room, clinging herself to one of Lincoln's legs.

Lily: "Wahaha! Sniff! Sniff!"

Lincoln (Looks down with a frown): "You too Lily?"

Lily (Nods her head sadly): "Hmhm…"

Or just because they're feeling lonely…as Lincoln is now in Lisa's room, as she has her arms around his neck.

Lincoln "Lisa…" (Holds her in his arms for support): "Umm…is everything okay?"

Lisa: "I may not express human emotions. But…sigh…It does get lonely at times being a genius."

Lucy (Pops out of nowhere and joins in): "I feel the same way about being a figure of darkness."

But it seems Lincoln has finally caught a break, as he makes it back downstairs and into the living room without any of his sisters going up to him for a second round of hugs. Unfortunately… Lori is sitting on the couch while hugging her legs together

Lori: "Augh!"

Lincoln (Walks over): "Lori…"

Lori: "Bobby forgot our yearly anniversary! And he doesn't seem to care!"

Lincoln: "Come on Lori, I'm sure that's not true."

Lori: "Whimper..."

Lincoln: "Sigh!"

He raises his arms into the air while putting on another kind smile.

Lincoln: "You'd want a hug to make you feel better?"

But instead of using her words, Lori picks up her brother from the ground, plots him on her lap, and wraps her arms around him.

Lori (With a little smile): "You're the best...sniff...Lincoln."

Lincoln (Patting his sister's shoulder): "Everything is going to work out Lori, I promise."

So...I guess the work of a brother and his comforting ways never ends.
