Chapter XII.

Last Time.

Mercury then deadpanned at him. "You're an inspiration to every punk with a gun and a ski mask."

Roman narrowed his eyes at that. "Look around, kid. I've got this town running scared! Police camping out at every corner, Dust prices through the roof, and we're sitting pretty on an old warehouse with more Dust crystals, vials, and rounds than we know what to do with! Speaking of which, if you guys wouldn't mind filling me in on your grand master plan, it might actually make my next string of robberies go a little smoother!"

Cinder then walks up to Roman at that. "Oh, Roman. Have a little faith." She said as she places her hand on his face. "You'll know what you need when you need to know it. Besides, we're done with Dust." She finished before turning to walk away.

"O-OK, then what now?"

"We're moving. Have the White Fang clear out this building. I'll send you details and coordinates tonight." Cinder said over her shoulder.

"Coordinates?" He asked having Cinder look over her shoulder.

"We're proceeding to phase two."

Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald begin to walk away as Roman attempts to light a cigar, but realizes can't find his lighter. He looks at Emerald who turns back to face him and sticks her tongue out as she held up the lighter.

Now.

Beacon, Ozpin's Office.

Ozpin looked out his window at the airships flying around. Before hearing Glynda. "Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work wherever he travels."

Ozpin turned to the teacher to speak to her. "Well, running an academy and a military makes him a busy man. But yes, those are a bit of an eyesore."

Chirp-Chirp-Chirp!

Ozpin, turned to his desk as he heard a chirping alarm before seeing he had a holo-message. He then hit allowed before speaking. "Come in."

A man then walked into the office.

He has fair skin and short black hair with graying temples. He's wearing a white overcoat, with a gray undercoat, a black sweater, a red necktie, and a white glove on his right hand. His suit pants shared the same color as his overcoat and they are tucked into silver boots accented in gray.

"Ozpin!"

"Hello, General." Ozpin greeted as he walked up in front of his desk.

"Please, drop the formalities," Ironwood said before he walks up to Ozpin and shook his hand. "
It's been too long. And Glynda! It has certainly been too long since we last met."

"Oh, James!" Glynda waved before looking at Ozpin. "I'll be outside." She then walks outside at that leaving the two to talk.

"Well, she hasn't changed a bit," Ironwood said to Ozpin who turned to walk to his desk.

"So, what in the world has brought you all the way down from Atlas?" Ozpin asked before picking up a mug and a kettle and poured into it. "Headmasters don't typically travel with their students, for the Vytal Festival."

Ozpin hands Ironwood the mug who takes it and pulls out a flask before pouring his own drink into the mug. "Well, you know how much I love Vale this time of year. Besides, with you hosting, I thought that this might be a good opportunity for us to catch up." Ironwood

Ozpin sits and pours himself a cup. "I can certainly appreciate the quality time between friends, however, a small fleet outside my window has me concerned."

"Well, concern is what brought them here."

"I understand that travel between kingdoms has become increasingly difficult," Ozpin spoke taking a sip from his mug.

"Oz, you and I both know why I brought those men."

"We are in a time of peace. Shows of power like this are just going to give off the wrong impression." Ozpin spoke as he sets the mug down with Ironwood doing the same.

"But if what Qrow said is true…"

"If what Qrow said is true, then we will handle it tactfully. It's the Vytal Festival. A time to celebrate unity and peace. So I suggest that you not scare people by transporting hundreds of soldiers halfway across the continent."

Ironwood sighed at that. "I'm just being cautious."

"As am I. Which is why we will continue to train the best Huntsmen and Huntresses we can."

"Believe me, I am." Ironwood replies before he turns and walks away. He stops near the door and looks back. "But ask yourself this: Do you honestly believe your children can win a war?" He asked before leaving.

"I hope they never have to."

Beacon Library.

Naruto, in his Huntsman clothes, yawned as he picked up a book for a class before seeing Team RWBY playing a game of Remnant: The Game. "Hmmmmm... All right... All right! Yang Xiao Long, prepare your kingdom for battle!"

Naruto looked up as he was walking by just as Ruby pointed at her sister while they all held cards. "Bring it on!" Yang pounds her fist as Naruto walked by making him stumble as her chest jiggled.

The four stared at him on the floor while Yang also smirked before he stood up and quickly walked out. A few minutes later, as Naruto was in the hall reading, he looked up to see a tired Blake walking out. "Hey, everything alright, Blake?"

She jumped at that before looking at Naruto. "… Yeah Naruto."

"You sure? Those bags say otherwise."

"I'm fine Naruto."

"OK, OK." Naruto raised his hands at that. "Just don't like you messing that pretty face up."

"P-Pretty?"

"Yeah…" Naruto shrugged at that. "You are pretty."

"But I'm a Faunus." She replied having Naruto smile.

"So? You're still pretty." He said with a smile. "Look, you can talk to me about anything… My door's always open." He finished before hearing Natsu yell in the library before there was a crash. "When I'm by myself at least." He sighed out before leaving as she went the other way.

Outside, Naruto put the book in his bag before someone jumped on his back. "Whiskers!"

Naruto sighed as he looked over his shoulder at the smiling face of Nora. "Hey, Nora."

"I need a buddy to play with."

"Why not your team?"

"Pyrrha's helping Jaune and Ren's studying." She replied before Naruto sighed.

"OK-!" Naruto was pulled by his fellow classmate before coming up to a basketball court.

Later, Naruto waited at a bench in red shorts and a white sleeveless shirt before jumping as a black basketball was thrown at him, He caught it and looked up to see Nora in pink shoes, pink gym shorts, and a white shirt with a heart hole on the chest revealing her cleavage.

As they played for a while, Naruto did take peaks at Nora's ass several times when he got behind her or when she jumped for a shot.

"I win!" Nora yelled out as she glistened in the lights.

"Maybe I let you win," Naruto said before seeing a bead of sweat drop into her cleavage.

"That's what all losers say!" Nora yelled before turning to pick up the ball.

Unintentionally showing Naruto her ass. Naruto took a calming breath before shaking his head to calm down.

Team RWBY Dorm.

Blake was sitting on her bed deep in her thoughts. 'Brothers of the White Fang, why are you aiding this scum?' She remembered her talking to her fellow Faunus before hearing Roman. 'The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together.'

She then sighed before remembering talking to Ozpin about the dock fight.

(Flashback.)

"Well, this has certainly been an eventful evening."

Blake sitting at the table in an interview room looked up at Ozpin. "Hmph."

"I'm sure that after a night of thwarting attempted robbery, you probably just want to go home and take a nap. But, I was hoping that maybe we could have a chance to talk."

Blake nodded at that. "Of course."

Ozpin smiled at her. "Wonderful. As you know, in order to enroll at my academy, students must first pass a rigorous entrance exam. Most applicants spend years of preparation training at one of the many combat schools around the world. You are one of the few that did not. And you passed the exam with flying colors."

"I was raised outside the kingdoms. If you can't fight, you can't survive."

"Well, you have most certainly survived, Blake. I admire your drive. And I am proud to run a school that accepts individuals from all walks of life. Rich, poor, Human…" He stopped to take a sip f his cocoa. "Faunus…" Blake glares at him at that before he continues. "Why do you wear that bow, Blake? Why hide who you are?"

Blake sighed and looked down at that. "You may be willing to accept the Faunus, Professor Ozpin, but your species is not"

"True, but we are continuing to take strides to lessen the divide."

"With all due respect, you need to start taking some larger strides. Until then, I'd rather avoid any unnecessary attention. I want people to see me for who I am, not what I am." Blake explained having Ozpin nod.

"And what are you?"

"I don't understand what you're asking." She asked as he leaned back in his seat.

"How did you know the White Fang would be at the shipyard tonight?"

"I didn't. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time."

"You wouldn't have been the first. But what happened tonight was not an isolated incident. I may be your headmaster, but I am also a Huntsman, and it is my sworn duty to protect this world from the forces that conspire against it. Blake, are you sure there is nothing else you would like to tell me?" He asked leaning forward as she looked down.

"I'm sure."

"Very well. Thank you for your time, Ms. Belladonna." Ozpin stands and heads to the door. He stops and turns to Blake. "If you ever need to talk to me. Please, don't hesitate to ask. (Ozpin shuts the door behind him.)

(Flashback End)

"Ugh, we should have never let him play!"

Blake was pulled from her thoughts as her team walked inside the room.

Ruby waved her sister off at that. "You're just mad cuz' the new guy beat you! See, if you had just attacked when I told you none of this would have happened."

Blake then gets up and walks to the door. "Stop." Blake looked over her shoulder to see Weiss pointing at her. "Lately you've been quiet, antisocial, and moody!"

"Uh, have you met Blake?" Yang asked raising an eyebrow.

"Which I get is kind of your thing, but you've been doing it more than usual! Which quite frankly, is unacceptable! You made a promise to me, to all of us, that you would let us know if something was wrong!" Weiss yelled before bringing a chair over to stand on it and point at Blake again. "So, Blake Belladonna, what is wrong!?"

"She quickly puts the chair away and returns to stand near the girls. "I just, I don't understand how everyone can be so calm," Blake said as Ruby walked over to her.

"You're still thinking about Torchwick?"

"Torchwick, the White Fang, all of it! Something big is happening and no one is doing anything about it!"

"Ozpin told us not to worry. Between the police and the Huntsmen, I'm sure they can handle it." Yang walked over to stand with her sister at that.

"Well, I'm not! They don't know the White Fang like I do!" Blake yelled out throwing her hands down, missing Naruto and stopping at the door so as not to go by it.

"Okay, between blowing up nightclubs, stopping thieves, and fighting for freedom, I'm sure the three of you think that you're all ready to go out and apprehend these ne'er-do-wells!" Weiss yelled at her confusing Ruby.

"Uh, who?"

Weiss ignored her teammate to continue. "But let me once again be the voice of reason. We're students! We're not ready to handle this sort of situation!"

Ruby sighed at that. "Well yeah, but…"

"We're not ready!"

"And we may never be ready!" Blake yelled out again. "Our enemies aren't just going to sit around and wait for graduation day. They're out there, somewhere, planning their next move, and none of us know what it is, but it's coming! Whether we're ready or not!"

Ruby raises her hand and does other random gestures at that. "Okay, all in favor of becoming the youngest Huntresses to single-handedly taking down a corrupt organization conspiring against the Kingdom of Vale... Say aye."

Yang: Pumps her fist enthusiastically and points at Blake. "Yes! I love it when you're feisty!"

Weiss sighed and crossed her arms at that. "Well, I suppose it could be fun."

Ruby's shoulder's slumped at that. "None of you said aye!"

"Alright then, we're in this together!" Blake said perking up Ruby.

"Let's hatch a plan!"

"Yeah!"

"I left my board game at the library!" Ruby gasped at that.

"No, I got it."

They looked to see Naruto holding the game. "Sorry, had to go back to get another book and saw it there." He said before looking to his left to see Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury on the other side of the hall in school clothes.

Mercury is wearing a black jacket with a light gray outline around the edges, a white undershirt, and a white band around the student's left arm.

The women are wearing the same shirt with a gray and black checkered skirt.

"You're here for the festival, right?" Naruto asked before thumbing over his shoulder. "Exchange students have their own dormitory."

"I guess we just got turned around," Mercury said with a smile while the three walk towards him while Ruby quickly takes the game back.

"It happens all the time. Your building is just East of here."

Cinder smiled as she passed him. "Thanks. Maybe we'll see you around."

"Yeah, maybe," Naruto said looking over his shoulder before saying goodnight to Team RWBY.

Only to blush as Yang had her chest bounce a little to fluster him again.

To Be Continued.
