Chapter 57 Rescue Exercises

Kabuto waited for the others to pass and he was waiting for the next part to happen, they were at the ante room waiting.
"Well, for all hundred of you who passed the first test please watch this." Mera told them.
Everyone looks towards the big screen on the wall and sees that it was showing the field that they were just at taking the first test. Suddenly, all around each area of the field start to explode, destroying the area and shocking everyone.
"Wow, everything is going boom!" Yoshiko said.
"The next test will be the last one. We will have you all perform rescue exercises as bystanders in this disaster site." Mera said.
"Oh no." Swarm said.
"Looks like we'll have to get ready." Kabuto said.
"We will assume that those of you who have passed the first test have received your provisional license, and test how well you can carry out suitable rescue procedures." Mera said.
"But who will we be rescuing?" Swarm looks Kabuto.
"They are people who have undergone training to be professional people-in-need-of-rescue and are in high demand right now. The "Help Us Company," or "H.U.C" for short!" Mera said as the group appeared.
"So, basically stunt doubles that act like real people?" Swarm said.
"Kinda." Kabuto said.
"The people from H.U.C. have dressed up as injured victims and are on standby throughout the disaster site. We will now have you all carry out their rescue. In addition, we will score your rescue based on points and if you have more points than the benchmark at the end of the exercises, then you pass. We will start in ten minutes, so please use the restroom and take care of any necessary business right now." Mera went off.
Swarm and Kabuto were relaxing a bit at a waiting room.
"Well this should be interesting." Swarm said.
"Don't forget, this is about saving people, something even that idiot would know." Kabuto said.
"Oh yeah, sis would pass this, she knows that heroes have to protect others." Swarm said.
"The only good thing she knows." He sighs.
They saw Camie looking at him.
"Oh hey there." She smiles.
"Your that Camie woman." Kabuto said.
"Yes..." She goes up to him. "I heard a lot about you Shinji."
Kabuto stares at her. "I see."
"Can I ask you a question? Why do you want to become a hero?" She asked.
He ponders. "Well to protect others and follow my own dreams."
"Oh, But what if you were all beaten up and bloody, and your body can't move?" She asked.
"Simple, as long as the heart beats I will not fall." He said.
She blushes and smiles at him, they found it kinda creepy.
"Well it was nice meeting you." She leaves them alone.
"She was creepy." Swarm said. "Despite being cute."
They heard a bell and the speaker. "Villains have begun a large-scale terrorist attack! This is occurring in all areas of the city. Due to buildings collapsing, there are many injured."
The room changed and it opened like just like last time.
"Due to heavily damaged roads, the first group of rescue workers have been delayed! Until they arrive, the heroes in the area will lead the rescue efforts. Save as many lives as you can. Well, then... Start!" Mera said.
They rushed foward and started the test, a kid was crying and Yoshiko came holding him up.
"Are you okay?! Breathing hard?!" She moves him around surprising the little one.
"Okay! Okay! You done well! No need to go overboard." He said.
"Okay!" She saluted.
Kabuto goes around and checks a woman that was hurt and checks her body. "Possible bruised leg, does anywhere hurt?"
"My arm hurts." She said.
"I see." He looks around and sees a uses it to make a makeshift sling. "There."
"Very good, it's always good to improvise in case the medics aren't around." She smiles.
He nodded before he heard a sound and looks back to see Gang Orca. "Let's see if you can rescue and fight at the same time."
"Villains have appeared and started their pursuit! Hero candidates at the scene should continue their rescue efforts while also suppressing the villains." Mera spoke again.
Gang Orca charges foward making Kabuto hold the woman as he dodges the attack while going around.
If this was real, I can't leave her alone. Kabuto sees the others fighting against him too but they're not doing so well.
In order to be a hero, you have to think quick, avoid, fight and think about the people around you.
"Can you hold my back?" He asked her.
"With one arm yes." She nodded.
She holds on to him as Kabuto takes out the cloth, he charges foward and Gang Orca tries to attack.
He shoots his scream at Kabuto but he jumps up swinging the cloth around grabbing rocks as he throws them at the villain.
He crushed it but Orca saw Swarm come by with the enerbeam to restrain him.
I see, not bad boys. He thinks to himself.
The two went around to get many civilians away from the attacks as the others striked at the enemy.
They're letting them distract Orca as they get as many people away, Kabuto even saw Yoshiko charge at Gang Orca.
He looks at her and he blocks her kick with his arm.
Hmmm, strong girl. Gang Orca felt her strenght.
He pushes her away as she got sent back. "I'm flying back, but i'm okay!" She landed on her feet.
She also saved others before attacking and Kabuto hates to admit it, but she did alright.
Many villains came to attack them but the riders used they're speeds.
"Hang on!" Kabuto said as the girl got ready.
He moves fast moving around fast around the villains while knocking them back.
"It's always good to warn the people your saving." She said.
Swarn did the same as they went around the other villains and taking them down.
Kabuto puts some in a safe distance before he noticed a big fire blast.
"Was that Todoroki?" Swarm said.
"It seems so." Kabuto said.
He also wonders where Flare was, he wasn't shown ever since they fought, did he get eliminated?
They heard the buzzer telling them the test was over.
"Um, at this moment, all the H.U.C. who were deployed have been rescued from the dangerous zone. It may be arbitrary, but with this, all the provisional licensing exam procedures have been completed. After we tally the scores, we will announce the result here. Those who are injured should go to the infirmary. The rest of you should change and then stand by."
Kabuto sighs since it's over for now.
Later
Everyone was now in they're uniforms as they all waited for the results, Mera was at a screen looking at them.
"Okay... Everyone, thanks for all your hard work... I will announce the results, but before that, I will tell you about the scoring system. Between those of us at the Hero Public Safety Commission and H.U.C., we had a two-fold demerit system we used while watching you. In other words, we were evaluating you on how few mistakes you made in a crisis situation. Anyway, the names of those who passed are listed in syllabary order. Please check the list keeping those words in mind."
The results came and Shinji looks.
"I passed." He smiles.
"Hey me too!" Ryuuichi said.
"I did it!" Yoshiko cheers.
"How did that idiot pass?" Shinji frowns.
He then noticed Bakugo and Shoto aren't there.
"What?! Those guys failed! And she won!" Shinji was shocked.
"What?!" Bakugo was in shock. "That idiot surpassed me!"
She grins and looks at him. "So lame."
He jumps towards her making the rest of his class dog pile him.
"No don't!" They said.
Shinji facepalms. "This is so sad for those two, how can they possibly be good heroes when the dumbest person on the planet won."
Note: Yeah Shinji passed along with his rider partner, Yoshiko got it too, makaing Bakugo and Shoto feel even more bad about it, I didn't want to take Izuku's chance so I had Shinji be more trying to get people out of danger.
