AN: So to let everyone know I updated the story, I went back and changed a few things.
AN: Hello everyone, before we begin I'd like to make a shoutout to jemu_draws on instagram who I am having do art commissions for this story and is someone I'd highly recommend you all check out.
As the Zephyr glided smoothly through the clouds, Marcus finally had a moment to set the ship on autopilot now that they were a safe distance away. It had been an hour since they left the bustling capital, and he was eager to see how the ladies were faring and help them get settled in. Marcus opened the door behind him and headed into the living space where everyone was just relaxing and socializing. The living space consisted of a kitchenette in a section in the back, a dining area next to it, and near the front half of the living space was a lounge area with furniture one would normally see in a living room: a couple couches, an armchair, coffee and end tables, and a small bookshelf.
Marcus: Do you ladies want the grand tour of the ship?
Jasmine: Like you had to ask. Just lead the way.
Giving the passengers a courteous bow, Marcus led them outside and downstairs to the floor beneath the living space. He opened the door to a hallway that led to nine rooms, four rooms on the right, four rooms on the left, and one at the end.
Marcus: The sleeping quarters. My room's the one at the end and the rest are yours to choose from. Sorry if they're a tad simple, I've never expected anyone to stay for long journeys.
Elsa: Why not stay in your room? Shy?
At her teasing, Marcus clenched his teeth.
Marcus: It's not like that! We'd be packed like sardines even if there were just two!
Each girl giggled at his reaction, with Mulan waving dismissively.
Mulan: Don't worry, but thanks for the laugh. Still, how should we decide who gets what room?
They all began to ponder on that with each girl glancing at each other and then at Marcus with mischievous glints in their eyes, though it was Jasmine who spoke up first.
Jasmine: I think I have an idea.
She reached into one of her bags and after digging around for a minute she pulled out a set of crimson dice which looked like perfectly carved rubies with gold dots.
Jasmine: Let's make it fun and play for it. We take turns rolling the dice and whatever number it lands on determines which room we get. And you girls can check that these aren't loaded.
Elsa: I see… Well then, how does it sound that odds go on the left and evens on the right starting from the closest to Marcus's room?
Jasmine nodded and they all took their turns rolling the dice. Mulan got room number one, Jasmine number two, and Elsa number three.
After that, the ladies all went into their rooms and unloaded all their bags. Although, when Jasmine left hers, she was wearing new accessories. Her outfit was completed with golden armbands and bangles, each adorned with a beautiful floral design. Around her waist, she wore a dark brown belt with jewels embedded in it and a golden tiger head as the centerpiece.
They continued the tour by going downstairs below deck. Around the bow they saw what looked like where the ship's weapons were. On the other end was a hallway with a room on either side.
Marcus led them down the hallway, taking them to the room on the right first.
Marcus: This is the storage. For most needs, I've got everything here organized so it's easier to find. There's extra food, medical supplies, weapons, and everything I've learned can be useful in an adventure here.
The ladies saw exactly how organized it was, the whole room had everything divided into their sections. Elsa blinked at how normal it looked. While they were looking around Marcus quickly grabbed something from a drawer and put it in his pocket.
Elsa: Quite quaint… and simple. I'd have expected a few scrolls… Perhaps a vault.
Marcus: I keep any money and magical items stored away in my quarters.
Mulan: Oh, so you do have room and were being shy!
Marcus blushed and decided not to respond as the three girls giggled. He then showed them the other room, which was the ship's bathroom.
Marcus: Here's the bathroom. Fully furnished as you can see. You have no idea how bad one can want a bath after a long day in one of the quests from the guild…
A few memories of mud in places he never wanted to see it resurfaced. As they entered, they were greeted by a few sinks and a large mirror on the opposite wall. To the right, there was a water closet, and to the left, a sliding eastern style door. Going past the door, they found two shower stalls on one side and shelves and cabinets on the other. At the back of the room, there was a large tub enclosed by a glass door.
The ladies were amazed by the bathroom seeing as Marcus went all out with it, they especially loved the large tub and couldn't wait for the chance to take a nice long hot soak in it.
Marcus led the group down the hallway and stopped at the end, causing the ladies to become confused as there seemed to be nothing there. However, he revealed a hidden button on the wall that, when pressed, opened a hole in the floor. A ladder was revealed, leading down into the hidden space below.
Marcus: And now for the last part of the tour.
The bottom floor had a metal grate floor along with multiple pipes and wires running all throughout the place, all of which were connected to one machine in the center. It was cylindrical in shape, with a single control panel, a glass tube that went all the way to the ceiling, and with the glass tube was a large sky-blue crystal. This was the Sky Crystal Engine, the very heart of the Zephyr, and the thing that powered skyships and made them fly.
Marcus went over to the engine to give it a quick diagnostics check to make sure there were no issues. Luckily there wasn't anything that needed to be fixed or replaced as everything was running at a hundred percent.
Marcus: Remind me later to teach you ladies on how to operate the ship.
Mulan: I've got some knowledge on how one works, so it shouldn't be hard.
Jasmine: Same here.
Elsa: I've read some books on them, but I've got no hands-on experience with them, so I look forward to it.
Marcus was once again surprised by his fiancés as now he was curious about how they knew anything about skyships.
Marcus: How?
Mulan: Guess we'll have to come clean with what we've been up to for all these years.
The group then headed back to the living space so they could be comfortable in explaining their past.
Elsa: I guess I'll go first.
When she was a kid, she and her sister would play with her ice magic, until an incident occurred where she accidentally struck her sister in the head. Luckily with the help of the wise elder of the trolls Anna was fine, though he took away her memory of the incident.
Though because of this event Elsa had begun to isolate herself. All the while her ice magic seemed to be growing stronger and more out of control.
Then a few years later her parents left for some royal business, but this led to more tragedy as their ship was lost at sea. The sisters were even more devastated, and Elsa isolated herself even more as she no longer left her room and stopped interacting with anyone all together.
It would be at her coronation that things would change, the sisters got into an argument over Anna wanting to marry a man she had just met. Poor Elsa released a powerful burst of magic that caused a premature winter. Afraid of what she did she fled to the mountains to isolate herself once again.
Once at the mountain peak Elsa finally felt free and let her magic loose, but that was not meant to last as Anna had followed and told her of the damage she had caused. This made Elsa's guilt return as Anna unknowingly kept pushing Elsa until she let loose another wave of magic, this time striking Anna.
Anna left and Elsa soon had to deal with another group. She was able to defend herself but was ultimately defeated and captured. When she woke, she saw she was in shackles and that things were getting worse. As she fled out into the blizzard she created, she was pursued by Hans, the man her sister wanted to marry.
Hans raised his sword to strike her down, but she was saved at the last second by her sister, who unfortunately became a statue of ice. But all was not lost as both the sisters' love for each other not only helped lift the blizzard it also returned Anna back to normal.
Hans along with his conspirators were banished from Arendelle and sent back to their home countries to face punishment for their actions.
After Elsa reconnected with her sister they decided to make up for lost times and did some "Sisterly Bonding". Though Anna didn't neglect her new boyfriend Kristoff as she would leave him bedridden for a few days at a time, not that he minded. And during those days he was resting she and Anna would pick up from where they left off. It was a month before the people saw any of them.
Another few months passed before the next big event in her life had happened. One night Elsa heard the call of the spirits leading her towards the enchanted forest. They faced and befriended the elements, found lost Arendellion soldiers and the Northuldra people, and saved their parents who had been frozen at Ahtohallan.
It turns out when they actually left all those years ago they came here as they were searching for answers about Elsa ice magic.
Elsa: From that point I would frequently travel to and from Arendelle and the enchanted forest to learn more about my magic.
Marcus: Elsa, I had no idea, why didn't you tell us?
Elsa sighed sadly as she looked a little ashamed.
Elsa: Guilt and fear for the most part. I was afraid of what you'd all think of me. But after I let go of all my worries, I decided I wanted to keep my powers a secret so I could surprise you.
She then let out a giggle which Marcus found to be cute.
Mulan: I guess I'm up next. Let's see, I've told you about my adopted brother Shang, right?
Jasmine: Yes. His father was killed in action and your father, being his godfather, took him in.
Mulan: Hmm let's see.
Mulan tried to remember what she hadn't told the others.
Mulan: Ah, I got it! Mushu, Cri Kee come on out!
The others were confused at first but soon coming seemingly from out of nowhere a small eastern dragon with red scales, blue horns, and a golden underbelly and whiskers appeared. Alongside it was a blue cricket, who happily waved at them.
Mushu: Hey girl, what you want?
Mulan just giggled at her two animal companions.
Mulan: Hey guys. I was just about to tell everyone here what I haven't been telling them about me.
Mushu: Oh well go on, then just remember to tell everyone here the awesomeness that is me.
Cri Kee: (Chirp)
Mulan told them that a few years back an army was attacking her country and so a mandate was issued, one person from every household would join the army. Originally her father was going to join, but after them arguing and her stealing the summons.
Before she got to the camp is when she met Mushu, who by his claims was a guardian sent by her ancestors. Though she later learned that wasn't true as he was mostly looking to save his own skin after he wrecked the stone dragon statue.
When they did get to the camp she not only found out that she was the only woman there, but also that her brother was the commanding officer. At first he didn't want her there, but after her stating her case he allowed her to stay but promised that she wouldn't get any special treatment and would be treated as any other recruit.
After several weeks of training they finally set off to meet with the main forces, but on the way they were ambushed by the Huns. It took some clever thinking on her part but she was able to take the majority of the army out. On the way to the capital they were able to learn that the surviving Huns were going to infiltrate and kidnap the emperor, so they decided to spring their trap and finish them off for good.
Afterwards they were treated as heroes, and the siblings returned home, though they both kept up with their training and would report for duty when they were needed.
Mulan: …And now I'm here.
Elsa: Wow you've been busy.
Mulan scratches the back of her head and gives a big smile.
Mulan: Yeah.
Jasmine: Well, I guess it's my turn, and seeing as Mulan brought out her animal friends I guess I should introduce you all to mine.
Jasmine ran her fingers on the tiger head on her belt. A bright ball comes out of it before taking shape into that of an actual tiger.
Jasmine: Everyone this is Rajah.
She then leans over and begins hugging and petting the tiger.
Jasmine: Rajah, this is everyone and want you to behave. Okay?
Rajah: (Growls)
Jasmine: Good boy.
Jasmine takes her turn in telling the others what happened to her. She and her sister Sadira had just met with a particularly annoying suitor who kept hitting on both, despite her already being engaged. They decided to sneak out like they normally would do when they needed a small break.
It was during this excursion they met up with and were helped by a young man by the name of Aladdin. They spent most of the day walking around Agrabah, until the local guard chased them and had them arrested, though she and her sister were let go when they found out who they were.
While she and Sadira tried to plead Aladdin's case, they were told by the vizier Jafer that he had him executed. Though this didn't seem to be the case, he reappeared a few days later with a grand appearance and going by the name Ali Ababwa, claiming to be a prince.
Aladdin and Sadira spent the next few days getting to know each other and becoming very close. Before they were going to announce their engagement though Jafar had tried to hypnotize their father and take the kingdom by marrying her sister, luckily Aladdin was able to save him by smashing Jafar's staff.
Jafar managed to escape, but he returned later and now in possession of a genie lamp. He used his wishes to make himself more powerful and to take control of the kingdom, with the first one to become sultan and his second to be an all-powerful sorcerer. Though Aladdin managed to trick him into using his last wish to turn himself into a genie, not knowing what the consequences of wish would mean.
Afterwards Aladdin freed the genie who he had become friends with and came clean about who he really was. He was in actuality the Prince of Thieves as his father was the King of Thieves and leader of the legendary Forty Thieves. Their father forgave him for the deception and welcomed him as his future son-in-law, as thanks for saving them all.
Later, after Aladdin sent word to his father, who along with the rest of the Forty Thieves came to Agrabah and offered up their services. Aladdin's father Cassim even became the new vizier.
After that they spent the next few years going on adventures. Jasmine, herself being annoyed about being a damsel in distress, asked Cassim to train her in how to be a thief, which he did as he enjoyed her fiery spirit and became an honorary member of the Forty thieves.
Jasmine: Sadira and Aladdin got married just before I left, so I'm happy I got to see that.
Her face became red as she blushed in embarrassment.
Jasmine: Sorry about not telling you guys about it. I just didn't know how to tell you guys.
Elsa: It's okay, Jasmine, it seems we all had secrets we didn't want to tell the others.
Marcus: She's right, though I'm glad to know about this side of you girls. Now before I forget…
Marcus then reached into his pocket and pulled out three rings, one of which he gave to all of them. This caused all of them to blush, believing that he was giving them each engagement ring.
Marcus: Here you go ladies, and before your minds wander too far these are Contraception Rings.
That brought them back a bit.
Elsa: I think I've heard of these.
Mulan: Yeah, me too, I remember a few of the soldiers wore them. They're supposed to prevent people from getting pregnant right?
Marcus: Yep, these are standard issue for adventures, seeing as all the stuff we get up to.
Marcus lifted right hand to show that he had a similar looking ring on his ring finger.
Marcus: Yeah, in the past before these there were a lot of issues with all the unwanted pregnancies. So, some genius was able to come up with these and soon enough, no more unwanted pregnancies.
Elsa, Jasmine, and Mulan looked at their rings and placed them on their right hand's ring fingers as well. The rings then magically shrunk to fit each of them perfectly.
Marcus: Now then, we've got most of the day before we reach our destination. So, until then you're all free to go do as you please.
He then got up and headed towards the kitchen area and got himself an apple to snack on before heading back outside. Mulan soon followed, grabbing Mushu and Cri-Kee along the way. Elsa decided to grab a book from the bookshelf, curled up on the couch, and began to read. And Jasmine herself snuggled up with Rajah and took a nap.
Outside Marcus kept an eye on the sky with Mulan doing the same. No words were said between them as they enjoyed the view, though she leaned herself against him and rested her head on his shoulder. He in response smiled and took her hand in his, giving it a squeeze.
Several Hours Later
It was close to sunset when Marcus had just turned off the autopilot and was manning the wheel, while doing so he was also showing Mulan how to pilot the ship.
Marcus: …Okay and we should be arriving at our destination soon.
As they soared over a vast forest, a foreboding castle loomed in the distance. Marcus's gaze was drawn to something approaching them, and his eyes widened in recognition. They were blasts of magical energy, and they were headed straight towards them.
Marcus: Evasive Maneuvers! Everybody, hang on!
Marcus with masterful piloting skills dodge every single blast. But no matter how many times he did the blasts kept coming.
Marcus: I'm gonna have to take cover in the forest and we'll have to walk the rest of the way.
He steered the Zephyr towards the forest still dodging the magical blasts coming their way. Luckily he found a clearing for them to land. Now that they had landed, Elsa, Jasmine, and Rajahh came out with worried looks on their faces.
Elsa: What happened? Is everyone okay?
Mushu: Yeah, fine, sept for the fact that someone was shooting at us.
Marcus: If I had to guess it was Maleficent and her forces.
Marcus then looked towards the direction of the castle.
Marcus: Looks like we're going to have to walk from here.
He gently removed Rydraza from his shoulder and placed him down near the Zephyr's controls. He then looked towards the other animal companions then back to his little buddy.
Marcus: Rydraza I want you, Mushu, Cri-Kee, and Rajahh to watch the ship while we're away. If that's okay with you all.
Rydraza used his tail to give a salute, Cri-Kee chirped, and Rajahh at first huffed but Jasmine gave him a pet on the head then he growled in agreement.
Mushu: Hey that's fine with me, see ya all when you get back.
Marcus turned his attention to the girls.
Marcus: Alright, let's grab some supplies before we head out.
They all headed to the storage and grabbed a few things, mostly just potions that they thought would come in handy. After that they departed and went deeper into the woods.
It was after an hour or so of walking and the sun had finally gone down. As they continued their trek through the forest they came across a cabin, and from the sound of it a fight was happening. Without any hesitation they ran towards the cabin to see if they could help.
Marcus summoned The Shield and bashed the door open. Inside they saw that a young man in dark noble looking clothes was being tied up by a bunch of goons. Marcus swung The Shield at them, knocking them off the young man and freeing him up.
Mulan and Jasmine came in behind him both with their weapons at the ready. Mulan, thanks to her martial arts and nimble grace, struck out with her sword, hands, and feet at any of the goons that got close. Jasmine on the other hand was dashing all around the room, delivering quick and deadly cuts at her foes.
Elsa came in last, which she stayed in the back to provide covering fire with her ice magic, freezing any of their enemies that weren't paying attention.
Despite being completely weak the goons seemed to be both hardy and tenacious, for every time they were knocked down they would get back up. Marcus taking in the situation decided to go for a different approach.
Marcus: Heads up everyone!
The Shield became coated in thunderous energy as Marcus then slammed it onto the floor.
Marcus: Thunderwave!
The energy erupted and sent out a shockwave. The young man and the ladies were fine as they had braced themselves, the goons however were not as they were all blown back and collapsed onto the floor. After a few moments passed and the goons not seeming to get up the group sighed in relief.
???: Hold Person.
Though that relief was short lived as someone had cast a spell and magically binding them.
They all looked to where the voice had come from. Who they saw was a tall, slender, beautiful woman with pale green skin, a narrow face, and a prominent chin. Additionally, she had yellow eyes and a headdress that looked like black horns. An enigmatic black and purple robe with wing-like edges covers her body in a cloak similar to that of a bat. Finally in her hand was a simple-looking staff with a sickly green orb at the top. This was Maleficent the Mistress of Evil herself.
Maleficent: Well, this is a pleasant surprise. I set my trap for a peasant, and lo and behold! I caught a prince and apparently some would-be heroes!
The Mistress of Evil laughs at them.
Maleficent: Away with them. But gently, my pets, gently, I have plans for our royal guest.
Later
Our heroes were locked up in a dungeon. The prince, Mulan, and Jasmine arms and legs were shackled by chains connected to the wall, while Marcus and Elsa were locked up in cages that seemed to prevent them from using their magic.
It wasn't long before Maleficent entered the dungeon with her raven wearing a condescending smirk on her face. Her eyes on the prince who had his head down.
Maleficent: Oh, come now, Prince Phillip. Why so melancholic? A wondrous future lies before you. You, the destined hero of a charming fairy tale come true.
With a wave of her hand the orb atop her magic staff began to project images as the evil woman continued to talk.
Maleficent: Behold, King Stefan's castle, and in yonder topmost tower, dreaming of her true love, the princess Aurora. But see the gracious whim of fate. Why, 'tis the self same peasant maid, who won the heart of our noble prince but yesterday. She is indeed most wondrous fair. Gold of sunshine in her hair, lips that shame the red, red rose. In ageless sleep she finds repose. The years roll by, but a hundred years to a steadfast heart are 'bout a day. And now, the gates of the dungeon part, and the prince is free to go his way. Off he rides on his noble steed ...
In Maleficent's imagery, the prince is shown to be old, anything but what she's telling. Her voice drips with sarcasm.
Maleficent: ... a valiant figure, straight and tall, to wake his love with love's first kiss, and prove that true love conquers all.
Phillip angrily jumps from his seat and struggles in his chains.
Maleficent then turns her attention towards the others in the room.
Maleficent: Now then what to do about you four.
She approached each of them, gently caressing their faces as she got a good look at each of the girls, making each of them shudder at her touch. She finally came to Marcus as she did the same with him, though she lingered a bit longer on if.
Maleficent: My, my, what good-looking adventurers you all are. Three beautiful young succubi and a handsome Armagus. Hm, I think I'll keep you four as my personal pets.
As she said this she had a hungry look in her eyes, which made Marcus glare at her knowing her implications. As she turned to leave he called out to her.
Marcus: Before you leave could you at least do me the courtesy of answering a question?
Maleficent turned around and contemplated for a moment before agreeing.
Marcus: Thank you. What I want to know is if you had anything to do with the recent rise in goblin attacks?
Everyone in the dungeon turned their attention towards her. Maleficent raised an eyebrow before answering.
Maleficent: Sorry to disappoint you, young man, but that's not my doing. I already have enough of a headache with those imbecilic fools, I don't need goblins to make things worse.
Marcus let out a heavy sigh of disappointment.
Marcus: Damn, well, then this lead was a bust. Any chance you could let us go free and so we could be off on our merry way?
He flashed her a grin which caused the Mistress of Evil to chuckle and not even answer.
Maleficent: Come, my pet. Let us leave our would-be heroes with these happy thoughts.
She picked up her raven and exited the dungeon though they could still hear her talking as she left.
Maleficent: A most gratifying day. For the first time in sixteen years, I shall sleep well.
Marcus turned towards the prince and decided to add a little bit of levity to lift their spirits.
Marcus: So, whatcha ya in for?
This got a small chuckle out of everyone. The prince, with a small smile on his face, replied.
Philip: Apparently falling in love. It's a surprise what they'll lock you up these days. If you have heard I'm Prince Philip and thank you all for earlier.
Marcus: You're welcome, I'm Marcus Yensid by the way.
Soon they all began to introduce themselves.
Elsa: I'm Princess Elsa.
Mulan: Hello, I'm Mulan.
Jasmine: And I'm Princess Jasmine. It's good to meet you. Also, don't worry, I'm sure we'll get out of here soon enough.
As soon as she said that three fairies appeared. They were all older women dressed in similar outfit, each with a different color. They wore poofy gowns with small capes on the back and pointed hats. These were the three Good Fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.
The fairies approach Phillip and help him escape.
Flora: Shh, no time to explain.
Using their magic, they open Phillip's chains and then went on to unlock the others. But when they tried to free Marcus and Elsa they found out that their magic didn't work.
Merryweather: Ooh, blast that witch. Our magic can't free them.
Jasmine: Here, let me.
She pulled out a lock picking kit and began working on free Marcus and Elsa.
Mulan: It's a good thing those goons were idiots and forgot to take our weapons and gear off of us.
Soon they were free and started to make their escape.
Flora: Wait, prince Phillip. The road to true love may be barriered by many more dangers, which you will have to face. So arm thyself with this enchanted shield of virtue and this mighty sword of truth. For these weapons of righteousness will triumph over evil.
As they exited the dungeon they unfortunately ran immediately into Maleficent's raven, who began loudly cawing out as if to sound an alarm. Seeing as how stealth was no longer an option they all began to run. They ran throughout the castle having to fight off the goons, dodge traps such as falling rocks, and carefully make their way around crumbling parts of the castle.
Luckily with the aid of the fairies and Elsa using their magic it made things easier to escape. The fairies transform arrows and the falling rocks into flowers and bubbles. Elsa on the other hand used her ice magic on the crumbling paths to make it easier to traverse.
They managed to reach Prince Philip's horse and just like earlier in the dungeon the fairies used their magic to free him from his chains. Philip jumped on his horse and was about to ride it out but he stopped as he remembered the others. Thankfully Flora knew what he was thinking and stepped in, turning to Marcus and the girl she began to wave her wand.
Flora: With our blessings may you be as swift as the wind.
Marcus and the girls felt lighter and faster now. They gave a nod to the fairies and Philip, who nodded back to them. They then set off for the gate. Thanks to Flora's spell they were able to keep up with Philip.
As they got closer to the exit they were about to pass under an archway with a bunch of goons above with pots of boiling oil. The goons started to pour the oil, and once again the fairies came to the rescue with their magic by turning the oil into a harmless rainbow.
As they continued to escape Maleficent's raven kept sounding out an alarm. Merryweather had become annoyed with the raven's excessive cawing and started chasing after it, firing bolts of magic in hopes to shut it up. She finally got it as it perched itself outside of the tallest tower, it now having been turned into a statue, and returned to the ground.
They could finally see the exit in sight, but in a final attempt to keep them from escaping the goons began to raise the drawbridge. The group went even faster and were able to escape by jumping from it when it was halfway up.
Just as they were escaping Maleficent had left her chambers to see what the commotion was, and seen that they had managed to get away. In her fury she casts two magical bolts to stop them, only for them to fail.
She swirls her staff above her head and begins an incantation.
Maleficent: A forest of thorn shall be his tomb. Born through the skies on a fog of doom. Now go with the curse and serve me well, Round Stefan's castle cast by spell!
A black cloud appears over the castle. Bolts of lightning strike everywhere, causing the growth of thick thorny bushes. And as soon as the heroes reach it they had to stop, as now before them was a forest of large black thorns.
Seeing as she's finally managed to stop them the Mistress of All Evil cackled with wicked glee.
But this did not stop them for long. Jasmine and Mulan readied their weapons, while Marcus summoned The Axe, and Elsa used her ice magic to freeze the thorns so they could easily break through them.
Elsa: Ray of Frost
Marcus, Philip, Mulan, and Jasmine began to chop away at the frozen thorns. Clearing out a path for them all to get through. It took some effort but with them all working together they managed to finally make it to the bridge before King Stefan's castle.
Maleficent saw that the heroes had gotten through her thorns enraging her.
Maleficent: No, it cannot be!
Turning herself into a vortex of magic she flew towards them and in a few seconds appeared before the heroes in a burst of green flames. This caused them to once again stop their advance.
Maleficent: Now shall you deal with me, you fools, and all the powers of hell!
Those same green flames coalesced around her then shot up like a tower into a smoke cloud. And from that smoke she appeared again but this time as a large western dragon with black scales, a purple underbelly, blank green eyes, and a mouth filled with green flames.
She began to cackle again seeing the scared looks on their faces.
Marcus: Oh… come on, lady! GIVE US A BIG FAT BREAK!
Jasmine: SHE CAN TURN INTO A DRAGON?!
Mulan: APPARENTLY!
The rest were just as shocked at Maleficent's transformation but soon they all shook it off and charged her.
… It went as well as you would imagine as Maleficent let loose a breath of fire, not only sending Philip from his horse and forcing the others to jump back, it also destroyed a section of the bridge they were on.
They all retreated to the thorns to hopefully come up with a better plan of attack. Unfortunately Maleficent was right on their tails as she lunged her head towards them and began snapping her jaws at them. Her attack had separated Philip from the others with him on one side of Maleficent's head and they on the other.
They swung their weapons at the dragon, but because of the limited space they were in they couldn't generate enough force to do any real damage. With no better options they retreated further into the thorns in hopes of finding a better position to continue the battle.
Marcus, Elsa, Jasmine, and Mulan were lucky enough to find a big clearing in the thorns. Maleficent, who had taken to the skies, had spotted them and dived in for the attack. She landed with a loud thud that shook the ground and made the heroes stumble a bit. The dragon had seen her opportunity and swiped her tail at them.
Mulan was able to quickly regain her balance and jumped over the tail. Elsa wasn't as fortunate but luckily Marcus was as he was able to, pick her up in a princess carry and jump back to avoid the tail. As the tail was coming towards Jasmine, she was able to nimbly flip over the tail and with lightning fast speed slashed at Maleficent's tail.
Jasmine's attack left a deep cut which caused Maleficent to growl in annoyance. She reared back her head as flames were coming out of the side of her mouth. Elsa, now back on her feet, countered with her ice magic before the dragon could breathe her fire at them once again.
Elsa: Ice Knife!
A shard of ice shot towards the dragon, making her lose focus.
Elsa: Ice Knife!
Elsa attacked again with her magic. She continued to barrage Maleficent with Ice Knives until the flames in her mouth were finally gone.
Maleficent shook off the frost that formed on her snout and decided on a different approach. She reared back her claw and went to slash at them. As the claw was coming down Mulan got in front of it, with her skills in the martial arts she used her sword to block the attack and redirect the force behind it. She spun around the dragon's claw and slashed into it, making her bleed once again.
Maleficent was more than pissed now and in her moment of anger lost all reason. She lunged her head at them once again, snapping her jaws in hopes of biting down on one of them but misses. She continues trying to catch one of them in her jaws, and thanks to her anger she becomes sloppy as Marcus sees an opportunity to do so heavy damage to her.
Marcus baits the dragon, making it look like he's wide open for an attack. Maleficent falls for it and goes to attack him, but misses again at the last second as he dodges her. Marcus grins as The Axe begins to crackle with thunderous energy, and with a big swing he cuts the side of her head.
Marcus: Booming Blade!
Maleficent shoots her head back up and roars out in pain. But things don't end there for her as not even a second later an explosion goes off from wear she was cut.
When the smoke cleared one could see the amount of damage she took, on the one side of her face was a massive gash that went from the back of her lips all the way up to the base of her horns. Her left eye was closed shut either to being injured in the explosion or to not get blood in her eye as that section of her face was bleeding profusely.
Maleficent was furious now. How dare these insignificant pests actually hurt her, her the Mistress of All Evil. She would make them pay dearly for this transgression.
Before she would attack them again, out of the corner of her one good eye she saw Prince Philip scaling up a cliff. As if a bolt of lightning Maleficent remembered who her real target was and calmed herself down. She took one final look at the pests before and decided that she would deal with them later as she took off towards the prince.
Philip, who had finally climbed up to the cliff, had almost not noticed Maleficent coming towards him. He swiftly dodged her attack and began swinging his sword at the dragon. Maleficent kept snapping her jaws at him all the while he kept swinging his sword at, neither of them managing to actually hurt the other.
Though unknown to Philip, Maleficent was actually driving him back further and further until he was near the cliff's edge. It wasn't until he nearly lost his footing did he know the position he was in. The dragon shot another breath of fire knocking the shield out of the prince's hand, causing her to chuckle.
Maleficent: Hahaha!
The fairies, who had followed him, in one final desperate attempt to aid him used their magic on the sword.
Flora: Now sword of truth fly swift and sure, That evil die and good endure!
Meanwhile Marcus and the girls had tried to follow after Maleficent but had to make another path through the thorns.They had just managed to get out of the thorns and were now at the bottom of the cliff, just under the prince and the dragon. Marcus seeing the desperate situation and what the fairies had done decided to lend his aid as well. Marcus swapped The Axe for The Bow.
Marcus: Philip catch!
With all his might he tossed The Bow up to Philip. Time seemed to slow down as The Bow spun through the air, but soon it sped back up and Philip managed to catch The Bow.
The second he had The Bow in his hand Philip notched back the sword and, as with the combination of the fairies magic and Marcus' Arcane Arm, it became a shining bolt of light. Philip let loose the sword as it flew towards Maleficent at great speed. The sword had struck true and pierced Maleficent's black heart.
She let out a painful scream and in one last attempt to kill the prince she fell towards him, snapping her jaws one final time. Philip narrowly avoided her by only the skin of his teeth by jumping out of the way.
Maleficent's large form caused the cliff to crumble and sent her falling even further down towards the others. Seeing this the heroes immediately ran back into the thrones to avoid being crushed. When the dust finally settled they peaked out and saw that all that was left of the Mistress of All Evil was her cloak, which was staked into the ground by Philip's sword.
Later
After a few minutes they were all able to regroup, as the thorns had magically vanished and the damage from the fight had been repaired. They all headed into the castle courtyard, looking around they saw that everyone was asleep.
Fauna: This way, Prince Philip.
The fairies led him further into the castle, though before he followed he looked back towards his companions.
Elsa: Go ahead, this is your moment not ours.
He nodded in understanding as he continued after the fairies. It was once that he was out of sight that the four slumped down.
Marcus: Man, that was exhausting.
Mulan: Tell me about it. I haven't felt tired since I first joined the Imperial Army.
Jasmine: And what makes it worse is that we still have to go all the way back into the forest to get to the Zephyr.
All four of them groaned, they had almost forgotten about their ship.
Deciding to rest for a bit as they headed towards the front steps of the castle. They all just plopped down and got comfortable. They were able to rest for a few minutes before a wave of magic washed over the entire area and awakened everyone from their slumber. The magic even relieved them of their exhaustion.
Soon the heroes saw that many of the people headed inside the castle, so they decided to follow. They were led to a giant ballroom where everyone was gathered. Soon though they saw Philip heading down a grand staircase with a beautiful blonde haired young woman in a blue gown and a tiara upon her head, who they assumed was a princess.
The couple approached the King and Queen as well as another older man who looked to be a king as well. The two bowed before them before the princess went up to the King and Queen and hugged them both. The other king approached Philip and looked to be struggling to ask him something, but soon the princess came behind him and kissed him on the cheek, seeming to stop the king's questioning.
The princess returned to Philip and soon music began to play as the two began to dance. Though as they were dancing the princesses' gowns color changed. The heroes noticed magic beams shoot towards the princesses and its colors changed back to blue.
They traced where the magic came from and sure enough up on a balcony overlooking the ballroom were the three fairies. It seemed that Flora and Merryweather were the ones changing the color of Aurora's dress to match their respective colors. This made the heroes laugh at such a silly thing, as well as from the relief they all felt.
Later
Marcus walked down the hallway towards his sleeping quarters. Thankfully after the celebration the three fairies used their magic and brought the Zephyr close to the castle, something they were all grateful for.
Now he was ready for bed after such an eventful day. When Marcus opened his door though his tiredness was immediately replaced with surprise, for in his bed were his fiancée's all of whom were naked as their clothes strewn across the floor.
They all smiled seductively at him and gestured for him to join them. Knowing where this was going Marcus locked the door behind him.
