Hard See Battle of Stoic Man
"This is bad… This is really bad. Seriously bad!" Ginro panicked like it's the end of the word because it might as well be the end of the world.
"It's the exact opposite of what I prayed for!" Suika felt worried for Kinro.
"Damn it, how cold we have such rotten luck?" Chrome asked, hating that Kinro would have to go face Magma in the first round of the Grand Bout.
"I don't see what the problem is. Life is just full things that are going to happen in unexpected ways including the outcome you don't want, just gotta live with it." Inuyasha pointed out.
"He's right. A scientist knows better than to rely on luck or superstition. Even if you're dealt with the worst hand, you play every card you've got." Senku agreed with Inuyasha.
"But I say we have a pretty good hand; we still got our superpowered demon dog Inuyasha despite the fact that I've already developed the Kingdom of Science's special power-up drink!" Senku grinned, showing the special drink in his hand shocking everyone.
"Great, another suspicious chemical creation." Kohaku was concerned about this.
"What exactly did you mix in to make this stuff?" Kagome asked worry while Inuyasha takes a look at the bottle close-up to his hand.
"No worries, it's not drug or anything. This stuff is completely safe." Senku assured his friends that this drink is safe for the body.
"I thought you were going to make a pair of glasses for Kinro since his eyesight is bad." Inuyasha said.
Kinro gasps in shock that he somehow knew about his fuzzy sickness, then he glares at Ginro believing that his own brother broke his promise to him.
"No, no, I didn't him about your eyes! I promise!" Ginro said.
"He's right. I already knew from the very first moment we met." Inuyasha said.
"You what?!" Kinro was shocked again.
"I noticed how you kept narrowing your eyes like you're about to close them. That's when I realize that you have bad eyesight." Inuyasha explained.
"Yeah, I figure that would be the case whenever he looks at me." Kagome nodded, revealing that she knows as well.
"Wha… So, you knew all along?!" Kinro was in utter shocked that his secret is out.
"I honestly never knew about it, but now it all makes sense with your shallow strike." Kohaku said.
"So, you got the same thing I have with my eyes!" Suika was surprised to hear that Kinro is the same as her.
"It's not something I like talking about. Plus, I don't like making excuses that is unbecoming of a man." Kinro explained his reason.
"Maybe to you, but you need to take better care of yourself than worrying about some pride otherwise you're going to end up hurting those around you like your parents and brother if you were to die because of your blindless." Kagome scolded.
"Huh, right." Kinro was surprised to hear Kagome talking to her like an angry mother.
"I could wipe up some glasses for you, but that would take time. Unfortunately, we don't have the time right now. So, I'm making this energy drink." Senku said.
"It's a mixture made up of tea leaves, honey, and sweet flag. The caffeine speeds you up, sweet flag keeps you cool, and the honey jacks your blood sugar way up. It's the Stone World's version of doping." Senku explained while Inuyasha keeps Ginro away from drinking the energy drink.
"Here, you probably need some of this stuff to keep yourselr hydrated." Inuyasha handed the energy drink to Kinro.
"Thank you." Kinro accepted it and starts drinking the energy drink until halfway.
"Wow, this tastes really good." Kinro was amazed by the drink, feeling better already. And then took the bottle to drink the rest for himself.
"Hey! You could've just asked!" Kinro pounded Ginro in the head making a stack of lumps.
"Well, forgive me for panicking because not only are you doing up against Magma, but I'm also going up against Sango as one of my two opponents!" Ginro mentioned when he saw his face on the bracket.
"Yeah, I'm not going to feel bad about beating you up for being a total creep of a pervert." Sango shrugged with no shame on her face.
"(She's going to kill me?!)" Ginro mentally screamed in his head, while still eating all the leaves too.
"He even ate the raw ingredients." Chrome was surprised when he looked at the now empty jar.
"Wow, yeah. There goes our whole supply of sweet flag." Senku worried sarcastically.
"That's the grass, right? The kind that grows down by the river?" Chrome asked, hoping he remembers those leaves right.
"I'll pick some more for us!" Suika volunteered to go get more sweet flag.
"I may not be competing in the Grand Bout, but I can still make myself useful!" Suika bounced off to find those leaves.
"Suika! Wait, don't run off on your own! At least have someone older to come with you!" Kagome ran after Suika.
Unknown to them, one short man is hiding behind a big rock and saw the little watermelon girl and another yet older pretty girl running off into the woods, just the thing he needs to carry out his order.
"(Oh yeah, Magma is going to be so please with his plan happening!)" Mantle thought smirked.
Mantle is a man of short stature. His body is small in size, but big in belly, with visible chest-hair. In comparison to his small body, his head is huge, and its shape resembles that of a Chinese Buddha statue's. Mantle's face has baggy eyes with elongated eyelids. His hair is black and cropped short, and he also sports a beard. He wears a ragged, green peasant tunic with a piece of rope acting as a belt. He wears a fundoshi that is on display too much of the time.
"Hey, who are you?" Inuyasha asked, sitting on top of the rock and looking down at Mantle who screams in shock that he's been spotted.
"Whoa, huh? Where did you come from?" Mantle asked.
"I noticed an odd scent with my nose and came over here to see what rotten rat is hiding until I found you." Inuyasha answered.
"Now, I'm going to ask again. Who are you?" Inuyasha demanded with a scary glare.
"M-Mantle! My name is Mantle." Mantle answered nervously.
"Mantle, you were with Magma early." Inuyasha remembered seeing the little bastard standing next to Magma at the arena.
"Oh, huh… There's nothing really going on with me like I'm some sort of follower of Magma, that would be creepy." Mantle tried to lie about knowing Magma personally, to get this guy off his back.
"…No, you definitely know him." Inuyasha said.
This causes Mantle to gasp that he's been found out so easily and his face is suddenly grabbed by Inuyasha.
"When you see your big boss, tell him his days are done!" Inuyasha said before throwing Mantle far away. All the way back to the village.
(With Magma)
Magma is seen standing by the bridge with a smirk on his face waiting for Mantle to come back with the job he sent him out to do being done, but suddenly something falls close to him.
"What the fuck?!" Magma wondered what just happened.
The fust settle when he saw Mantle groaning on the ground and shaking in both the pain and in fear.
"Mantle? What happened?" Magma asked in shock.
"Sorry, Magma… I was caught before I could do the plan." Mantle alerted, feeling shame for having to fail Magma.
"What? Impossible, you couldn't have been caught that easily?" Magma was angered.
"(Damn it, it must be one of the outsiders. Maybe the one in red, that one definitely different than the rest.)" Magma thought recalled seeing the new outsider in the red clothing.
"(Fuck that guy! He ruined my plan to get Kohaku to leave and have her disqualified! I'll make him pay!)" Magma thought angered.
Soon, the first fight of the Grand Bout is about to start with Magma with a confidence smirk on his face staring off at Kinro who is getting himself mentally ready.
"He got this. I'm sure he'll do fine." Inuyasha believed that Kinro would give that Magma a challenge.
"I hope you're right." Ginro exclaimed with some of the sweet flags still in his mouth.
"Have a little more faith in your brother." Sango said.
"I'm really sorry." Mantle sobbed.
"Doesn't matter, you should feel more sorry for yourself since you're going to be facing the kid in the next fight." Magma said.
"But I guess I'll take in the sweet pleasure of beating Kinro to cheer me up." Magma smirked.
"Yeah! You're stronger than him! You got this!" Mantle cheered.
"I will get what I want because I, Magma, will get what I deserve. Ruri and the entire village will be mine." Magma proclaimed.
"Now, Kinro. Surrender to me and I'll make you my right-hand man. I'll need a strong fighter by my side, as well as someone who'll do my biding." Magma stomped one foot forward. "Grovel at my feet before the crowd. Put on a show for everyone! Do that, and I'll take it as your pledge of loyalty." He demanded.
"(Like Kinro is going to bend to you like that.)" Inuyasha thought smirked.
"(Still so arrogant as ever, Magma. That will end today.)" Kinro thought would show Magma who will be the one to grovel at one's foot.
"Listen, Magma. Even if everything you say is true, I'd never kneel before you." Kinro said strongly, making Magma look angry.
"There are many schemes in this Grand Bout, but I can only fight honestly and to the best of my abilities. Besides, I'm not the same man I was before." Kinro mentioned.
"You've never once beaten me in a match like this, Kinro, so what's so different about this time?" Magma asked laughing at Kinro.
"This time, I have no choice but to win, because my friends are counting on me!" Kinro answered. Even though there is still Inuyasha, Kohaku, and Sango in the Grand Bout who can take on Magma, he wants to at least try beating him himself.
"Round one: Magma versus Kinro. Begin!" Jasper announced.
(Music: Determinate, Lemonade Mouth)
"You're motivated by lust for power. But I… have bigger reasons than that!" Kinro charged at Magma delivering the first strike onto Magma as he was able to block it.
But Kinro wouldn't lit up as he continued with a fast flurry of rapid strikes onto Magma forcing him to keep up with the defense, each blow feels heavy that surprises the big blonde brute as he's being push back just a little bit.
"Wow, Kinro, when did you get so strong?" Magma asked before starting his counterattack.
Now both fights are neck-in-neck with each attack trying to land on each other only for those strikes to be blocked. Kinro is definitely holding his own against Megma despite being a little blind, but he can still see him so as long as he reminds close to him.
"Kinro seems to be holding his own against Magma." Ganen was surprised to see this fight going out differently.
"He might actually win this whole thing!" Titan believed from what he's seeing.
Titan has somewhat long, extremely spiky hair. Several sparse strands fall over his eyes. His face is similar to Chrome's: boyish with a slightly rounded jaw, large ears and the same nose. His eyes are also fairly large and rectangular, with long, thick eyebrows. He wears a short-sleeved shirt, wrapped and tied by two lengths of rope. A lot of his chest is showing, similar to Magma's shirt. Titan also wears cut-off pants, the same dark blue as his shirt.
"See, I told you Kinro would be able to get by and more." Inuyasha bragged a little.
"I gotta say, he's doing ten billion times better than I was expecting." Senku was amazed by this.
"This is all thanks to the training our battle team had to go through from Inuyasha!" Ginro said with a smug.
"Why the hell are you acting so smug about it, Ginro?" Chrome asked, but it's still great to see that Kinro is definitely going great out there.
Chrome notices something off in the back of the crowd behind Garnet and Sapphire, it's Mantle snickering with a sinister thought for this match.
"(I got our backup plan right here.)" Mantle thought smirked as he is holding a rock in his hand. The plan is to throw the rock, without anyone noticing, to hit Kinro in the head to help Magma get the upper hand to win this match.
"Hey, Mantle." Chrome called out, causing the short man to stop just when he was about to throw the rock. And standing between the two girls and in front of Mantle.
"Jasper's our bad referee. No way he's gonna let you get away with that!" Chrome warned him about Jasper being serious about his job.
As much as Mantle wants to call out Chrome's bluff, he soon remembers how thorough Jasper is when it comes to these sorts of things and that would be really bad if he ended up getting himself and Magma disqualified.
"I was just, uh… Clack. Clack. Just clacking these to cheer him on!" Mantle chuckled, quickly making up an excuse of why he has these rocks with nervous of sweats.
"Nuts." Senku cursed as he let down several things he's been carrying in his clothes much to Chrome and Mantle's shock.
"Told you that wouldn't work." Inuyasha grinned.
(With Kagome and Suika)
"Come on! We have to get back if we're gonna see the first match since it's already started!" Kagome ran as fast as she could with Suika right in front of her.
"I hope Kinro is doing okay despite having the fuzzy sickness!" Suika worried.
The girls quickly dropped off the sweet flags into the lab and ran right for the village.
(Back with the Fight)
Just when things were going well for Kinro to land at least a few blows on Magma, the moment fled when Magma made a move that would put Kinro at a disadvantage.
"Magma took a big step back." Titan noticed this.
"He always just goes rushing in with brute force." Ganen said.
"He looks serious. I've never seen him like this before." Another village was shocked.
"(Not good. He's put distance between us.)" Kinro thought feared the worse has happened with his vision now becoming blurry on Magma.
Kagome and Suika made it back to the others.
"Hey, how is Kinro doing?" Kagome asked.
"He was doing great when he got in closer to Magma, but now the brute is making distance away from Kinro." Inuyasha answered.
"Oh no!" Suika gasped.
Kinro tried to remember what Inuyasha told him before, about trying to move forward in case of distance, so he moves forward with two big steps and thrust his safety spear at Magma though only about two inches close to his stomach.
"Were you trying to hit me with that? Not even close!" Magma laughed mockingly and smack spear away, then goes for a strong strike on the head making Kinro stumble back.
But Magma isn't done as he goes in again with some barrage of heavy hits on the brown hair young man and knocks him down to the ground, but Kinro was able to stay up even though he's on one knee.
"Shit, that doesn't look good." Sango worried.
"There's got to be something he can do." Kohaku feared that Kinro is going to lose.
"Don't worry, we've already thought of that. Right, Suika?" Inuyasha looked down at Suika who isn't wearing her helmet as she nods.
"(Damn it, his attacks feels so heavy. But… They're not as strong as Inuyasha's. I've felt his hits and Magma's are nowhere near his.)" Kinro thought felt grateful for Inuyasha to put him through that intense training.
"(I'm not giving up. It's too important to give up now.)" Kinro thought refused to give up as he tries to get back up.
"You don't give up, do you, Kinro? Think I like you even more now. I actually want you to be my henchman." Magma smirked.
"Not happening, Kinro just needs to look up for victory." Inuyasha said out loud for Kinro to hear.
"(Look up?)" Kinro thought was confused until he looks up and saw the unexpected: Suika's watermelon helmet.
"Now, you'd better start grovelin', boy!" Magma demanded.
"Take the eyes of science! Kinro!" Suika called out.
Kinro knew that Inuyasha and Suika were working together in order to help him, for his eyes, feeling so grateful that he lung into the air to get the watermelon helmet on as he lands.
"(That makes him look so creepy!)" Senku, Chrome, and Ginro thought weirded out.
"Yeah! Get him now, Kinro!" Inuyasha cheered.
"Nice try, but that goofy mask ain't gonna save ya!" Magma laughed as he charges forward.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Things were looking really bad for Kinro with Magma really laying the smackdown and even trying to make him his henchman, but thanks to Inuyasha and Suika's little teamwork with giving Kinro the watermelon glasses, the tide of battle is about to turn in Kinro's favor.
