Emotional Manipulation

Things will begin to really intensify after seeing not one, not two, but now three of our favourite feathery friends feel the full effects of the Surge of heartbreak! Lillian will witness a truly devastating sight. Sofia spills what's on her mind to Jacqueline in a drunk manner. And we will see another certain canary carry out his job that Fred instructed of him. So much more to enjoy! Let's get right back to it!

Lillian had emerged from the kitchen excitedly at first, clutching her cell phone into her right hand.

Eager to capture the moment of he beloved boyfriend Nico, standing proudly above his birthday cake.

The air that surrounded the room at first was thick with the sweet scent of frosting, and the laughter that emerged from the guests that were spread out around the room.

But…as she stepped into the room, with a high amount of anticipation on her face.

Little did she know…that her extremely bright mood…Will soon erupt into chaos and will become a horrific catastrophe.

Her heart literally felt like it had plummeted into a deep dark abyss of despair. Her breath had been caught in her throat, as she felt like she was hyperventilating. On the cusp of having a nervous breakdown.

Watching the man she deeply loved, having a passionate moment with another women right in front of her very eyes.

And not just any woman…but the girl who took the selfie with her kissing him on the cheek when they were at that bar at the fun fair.

Her skin prickled with a chilling realisation.

"W-W-What, the…F-F-Fuck?" She cursed under her breath.

In this very moment as of right now, this felt like a cruel twist of fate. As she watched in horror, Nico being intertwined in a passionate embrace with Karina.

As their beaks were locked, Nico had his hand lowered to the vibrant orange canary's butt. And they pressed their chests together. This made Lillian's heart shatter into a million jagged pieces, as her whole worked felt like it came crashing down.

The sight to her was like the sharpest dagger being plunged deep into her heart. Stabbing her multiple times through the chest.

This was like the biggest betrayal she had ever felt in her entire life. A betrayal that twisted her insides with a ferocity she had never wanted to experience in her life. But it was all happening right in front of her very eyes.

And to her it was completely unbearable.

"This isn't h-happening…This is not happening!" All of the thoughts whizzing around in her mind were telling her to go over there and pull her by her hair and confront her. But in reality…she's not that kind of bird.

This was not the image she had wanted to conjure in her mind by any measure, not the love she believed they had shared.

The talking around her that in their minds were quite loud and cheerful, only faded into a brief silent echo. A haunting echo that was replaced by a deafening silence, of her own thoughts spiralling into a whirling of insecurities.

How the heck could he do this to her?

This question in particular reverberated in her mind, with each repetition deepening the wound.

"Haaaa, haaaa, is it-it getting hot in here?" The green eyed canary began to feel a little bit dizzy. As the vibrant colours of the lovely party blurred into a haze, as she felt that the walls were closing in on her. Suffocating her with the weight of her emotions.

It was as if the emotions were all trying to be processed in her head all at once and she was having a hard time dealing with all of this mental torture all at once.

"I-I gotta get outta here!" She could no longer hear to stand amongst so many birds that she either did or didn't know. And her chest was literally feeling like it was about to explode with sadness.

It was mainly because their joy of having a good time at the party, felt like a stark contrast to the turmoil raging within her.

In a desperate bid to escape this horrible nightmare, Lillian managed to slip out through the back door. With her heart racing as tears streamed down her cheeks. As every single tear drop that dropped on the floor acted as a testament to her shattered trust.

The cool night air that filled the atmosphere around the lovely vibrant city of Rio, hit her like a wave, but it did little to quell the storm that had been building up inside of her.

As she ran away, with her feet pounding against the pavement. Each and every single step felt like a release of the anguish inside that threatened to consume her.

The laughter and music faded into the distance, leaving her alone with her thoughts, her fears spiralling into an overwhelming tide of doubt. In that moment of solitude, she felt utterly lost, grappling with the realisation that the love she had cherished was now tainted, leaving her to confront the haunting shadows of betrayal and heartache.

She ran all the way to the beach where she would always go when she needed to be alone with her thoughts. And she dropped to her knees and held onto the tree trunk of a palm tree. Bursting into a river of tears again, as her whole body felt like it was going to fall limp on the floor.

"Why?! Why would he do this to me?! To US!" Lillian was expressing her frustration with her boyfriend by venting to nobody in particular.

And just as she was wiping her tears away, out of the corner of her eye. She noticed that there was quiet little pub by the beach.

There was only one thing on her kind right now…and maybe having a few strong drinks to help her forget about that thought may not be the worst idea in the world right now.

So after drying her eyes and cleaning her face up a little bit, she slowly began strolling over to the pub to have a drink.

Just as she was approaching the front door, someone was stood leaning up against a wall that was next to a parking meter.

He sinisterly smiled at the canary, before gradually following her inside the pub. "Now it's on to phase two…" He whispered to nobody in particular, following her inside.

Before We Go Back To Check On Her…Let's See How Sofia Is Doing…

"I-I-I donyt a phash a-f-cuckink care about Pedro! He can fuck little miss, blue b-titch! BURP! Bahhhh! I don't care…" Sofia clearly had way too much to drink, as the table sitting besides her had an empty bottle of tequila and half a bottle of apple sours. She was way too drunk to understand what she's saying. "I f-fcucking-g despises that girl! With her b-gig boobs and curvy ass! My boobs and ass are bigger than hers will ever be!" She wasn't wrong about that.

She carried on slurring her words and talking in a drunken state. And she was so oblivious as to what was around her, that she didn't even see that Jacqueline was standing directly behind her.

"Sof? Hey Sof, it's Jacqui!" Jacqueline came out from the inside room, walking into the balcony rubbing her belly. "Why are you out here by yourself?"

"Heyyyyyyy Jacqui! Whasssssuuuuuup?!" Sofia did the 'Wasup' line from the movie Scary Movie. And she laughed so hard that she accidentally dropped her bottle of apple sours. "Oops! That's a waste of good liquor!"

"Okay missy! I think we need to get you home." The blue female giggled and helped her to stand up.

"Oh no no no no no no! No no no no no no…" She kept repeating the same word over and over again. Making the blue female laugh out loud.

"Will you please stop saying no?" She giggled again and helped her down the stairs.

"I don't want to hurt the baby…" She smirked and chuckled, as her head was all loopy from the alcohol.

"Relax. I'm still able to help you." She remarked whilst gesturing to Jose to help her take Sofia outside.

"One sec baby! I just gotta say goodbye to Nico. Wherever he has gone?" Jose remarked as he realised that Nico was no longer in the room. And everyone else was either talking amongst their groups, dancing, or going home.

"Well, looks like I'm gonna take you to the car!" Jacqueline kindly offered and pushed the door open.

"You na nanana-na I cannot ask-a-ask youuuuu t-to do this!" She slurred her words anymore, feeling like she was on the verge of passing out. "Hehehe…Why does that ground hate me?"

"It doesn't. It's just a pavement." She laughed again after opening the door for her. "Come on, let's get you inside the car…"

"Surre…BURP…Are we making an Onlyfans vid? I'm sure some of my viewers have a pregnant fetish…"

"Ummm, no. I'm not going to do that." Jacqueline rolled her eyes and strapped her seat belt on. "Right, I'm gonna go and find Jose."

"Wait! W-Wait…Can you…Stay? Stay w-with me…"

"Okay. Okay sure!" She climbed into the other back seat and closed the door afterwards. Leaving both girls sitting there in the car side by side. As Sofia leaned over onto her shoulder, and began mumbling some words.

"Hmmmm, why do-esbnt-t…He lo-v-ve meee?" She murmured sadly, being on the verge of passing out.

"What?" The blue female cocked her head to the side in confusion. "What did you just ask me? I didn't really hear it that well."

"Pedro looks soooo happy with little miss 'Perfect!' With her good skin and that sexual expression! She is such a hoe!" She was referring to Zara, whilst cringing in disgust when talking about her.

"Are you talking about that girl Zara? She seems nice? What's wrong with her?"

"Thatssss the thingk-kyuash! She is too fucking nice! He needs a woman who will stand up for him! I'd stand up for him! I'd kick any smutty little bitch hoe's ass if they dare try to make him out to be a fool!" She yelled a little louder, as she was doing so well to hold in all of her emotions.

"I guess so? But, weren't you guys just friends with benefits?"

"Yeahhh but…Jacqui-J-Jacqui…I gotts to tell ya something…" She whispered in a hushed tone, putting a finger to her beak to shush her. "But shhhhhhhhh! You can't tell Pedro!"

"If it's something a bit too perso…"

"Shuuuushhhhhhh! Shhhhhhhh! I neeeds to tell you this!" Sofia slurred even more, whilst laughing like a maniac.

"Okay?" Jacqueline asked with a weird glance on her face.

"I am like…I am like-like…I like like him ya know…haaaa hahaha!" She laughed again, patting her thigh with her hand.

"Ummm…I am not really sure where you are going with this?"

"I…have…feeeeeeelimgs! For Pedr-r-ro! Feelings feelings! You know? Like you and Jose…Hahahaha!" Sofia blurted out those words in a drunken manner.

"W-Wow! Ummm, that's great! Why haven't you told him?" The blue spix's girl was a bit surprised to hear her say this. But then again…a small part of her did think that she was only saying this because she let it slip out of her beak because of how drunk she was.

"Because…I'm afraid, that he doesn't want me…" She sighed heavily and laid back on her seat. "Haaaa, this was not supposed to happen to me!"

"What wasn't?"

"You don't understand Jacqui…" All of a sudden she stopped slurring her words. And for just a brief few minutes, she was able to talk normally, despite being completely hammered. "Sofia does not fall for someone! I have rules. No kissing. No relationship. I have boundaries! I fuck, then I chuck. I hump then I dump. I make em cum, then I throw out that bum!"

"I get the gist of what you are saying." Jacqueline smirked and laid back on her chair.

"Yeah…One night after we finished fucking. He kissed me with tongue. And now all of these 'Feelings' came flowing out of me! Like, what the fuck?" She cursed irritably, feeling so exhausted. "Now that this Zara girl is in the picture…He will obviously choose her over me…I just know it!"

"Have you maybe…considered telling him how you feel?" She archer a curious eyebrow.

"No! And you cannot say anything to anyone! Especially him or Zara!" She randomly blurted out. "Pleaseee Jacqui! D-Don't tell him! Or anyone!"

"Don't you think he has a right to know how you feel about him?"

"Not now Jacqui! I will have to tell him when I am ready!"

"But if you leave it too late, he might choose Zara! You have to tell him before he has that option to choose her." Jacqueline remarked and patted her on the back. "I will keep your promise by not telling anyone about what you just told me. But only if you promise that tomorrow you will talk to Pedro?"

"I'm going to Martin's pool party tomorrow to support him with his fashion designs release. In fact, he gave me an outfit to wear." Sofia smiled and sighed again. "Maybe after I can get him alone, I can tell him."

"Good! Now…"

"Hey girls! Sorry I took so long. You would not believe what Nico was doing!" Jose got into the car, and he attached his prosthetic foot to a pedal that he could strap onto. Which allows him to drive easier in his condition. "Good thing I didn't drink any alcoholic beverages tonight."

"Pfffffft…Guilty me!" Sofia smirked and laughed, laying back on her seat.

"Right…Anyway, I caught Nico touching up that orange canary girl in the kitchen. I was going to interrupt them. But she saw me coming and bolted for the back door. Isn't that weird?"

"Yeah? She didn't do much when everyone else was in the room. Why all of a sudden she decided to leave when seeing you?" Jacqueline asked her boyfriend in curiosity.

"No idea. But she did give me that 'I've just been caught' look. Nico however barely said anything." The green armed man started the car. "Did you call RDJ?"

"I text him. But he just said that he wants to be alone for a while."

"Poor guy. Watching the women you love being close and personal with the ex boyfriend. I've never seen RDJ ever get that jealous and angry before?"

"Neither have I? It's weird. Normally around his brother he laughs it off or just ignores him. But as for Manuel? It's almost as if he was able to really get under his skin." Jacqueline sighed and shook her head.

"Maybeeee he is just a pervert!" Sofia joined in and slurred her words again.

"Possibly. I mean? I don't condemn him for his actions. Trust me, if some random guy came up and started flirting with you. I'd pick up my prosthetic foot and try to ram it down his fucking throat!" He cursed and then kissed his beloved on the beak. "I think it is only fitting that I ask you to stay with me for a little while."

"Oh I couldn't possibly do that! I'd annoy you too much…" Jacqueline replied unsurely, scratching the back of her head.

"Heyyyy I gotta-gota ideeea for you! Why not move inn for reminder of pregnancy m?" Sofia slurred again, as she was playing with the lights.

"Don't you mean remainder?" Jacqueline corrected her with a smile.

"That's what I said! Remind…Remind…Remain…FUCK!" She kept correcting herself and cursed in frustration.

"I mean…It would make more sense for the father to be living with the mother for the remainder of the pregnancy? Plus, I have already missed out on so much." The green armed man rubbed her belly. "Besides, at least that way I can start to buy stuff! Like a crib? A bassinet? Some bottles and toys…"

"Also maybe some baby clothes?" Jacqueline grinned and held onto his non steering hand.

"Absolutely!" He smiled dreamily at the soon to be mother of his child. And he leaned into the back seated area and passionately kissed her.

"Ughhhhh…I can get out if you guys wanna fuck?" The red crested cardinal was about to open the car door. But Jose switched the child lock on.

"You are not going anywhere missy! We are going to take you home." The male smiled and started the car. As they began to drive away from the house.

Now Let's Check On Lillian…

"Thanks…" Lillian sadly thanked the waiter, bringing her another glass of wine. After having a few moments to herself to think about what happened in that party.

Lillian had perched herself on the edge of the bar stool, leaning on the bar with a very heavy sigh. Her heart heavy with the weight of her unspoken unbearable sorrow.

The dim lights that were lighting up the room were flickering around her, casting some gloomy darkened shadows that danced liked the painful memories that she really had wanted to forget about in an instant.

With each and every sip of the velvety red wine, she felt the sharp edges of the pain and suffering that she had felt internally only dim a little more.

But the ache in her chest, and the emptiness in her heart remained relentless. As she couldn't comprehend the events that had happened back at the party.

This was her third glass of wine now, and the bottle loomed temptingly close to her. With a siren of comfort ringing in her mind that promised solace to her in deep depths.

"What's up with the long face? Why, if I had a lovely face like yours. I'd be smiling every day." An elderly lady was walking right past her with her husband.

"I'm not very happy…" She sadly replied, drinking some more of her wine. "My boyfriend cheated on me with another woman in front of me. Kissing her and grabbing her ass, fondling with her…Stupid asshole!"

"Well, I hope you know that drinking is not the answer! My husband is a recovering alcoholic! Been sober for ten years now!"

"And each and every year I keep wondering why I married you." He grumpily responded and shook his head.

"Oh, shut up you old grump! You love me really."

"Yeah I do." He tapped her hand lovingly and escorted her away from the canary female. Who felt even more depressed after witnessing that.

Despite all of the wine she had already consumed at this quiet little pub, no amount of alcohol could ever erase the haunting image of Nico in her mind.

His tender yellow fingers brushing up against the orange fingers of the canary Karina. A sight that as mentioned shattered her heart into a thousand irretrievable pieces.

As she sat there on that bar stool, lost in her own thoughts and deep emotions, Lillian's emerald green eyes fixated on the half empty wine glass that had been sitting right in front of her.

And within this sight, to her it was a reflection of her own emptiness in her heart.

The long and drawn out sigh that evacuated her beak was a fairly quiet lament. A whisper of the dreams that had slipped through her fingers like sand.

"Haaaaa, why do I always get attracted to the wrong…"

Thud!

"What the…" Suddenly, a bottle of fruit cider appeared before her very eyes. Strawberry and lime which was a very tasty flavour indeed.

The sudden appearance of this beverage was unexpected and jarring in her mind.

"Excuse me? What is this?" Lillian politely called out to the bird who placed the drink down in front of her. Although, her voice tinged with the sadness of her woes, that seemed to echo in the air around her.

The grumpy scarlet macaw man, a fixture of the bar, delivered the drink with a grunt, his demeanour as rough as the world outside.

"Some guy at the bar bought it for you," he muttered, before turning away, leaving her to ponder the gesture.

Lillian at first looked puzzled and confused by the sudden gift. But when she glanced up at the far end of the bar. She realised that nobody was standing there much to her surprise.

"But…I do not see anybody?"

"Look sweet heart. I'm just the bar tender! Besides, that's your last one. After that, I'm cutting you off." He poured the last of the wine in the glass then dropped the wine bottle in the glass recycling bin.

"Hmmmm, someone needs a companion…" Lillian muttered under her breath.

"I heard that!" He called out from the other side of the bar.

The cider sat there, a bright contrast to her dark mood, yet she felt an inexplicable pull towards it.

Without a second thought, she lifted the bottle to her beak , the cool glass a brief respite against the heat of her emotions.

But just as she was halfway through the bottle, and the cold sweet liquid had been poured down her throat, she started to feel a bit…funny?

"Hmmmm? Wh-What the…" All of a sudden, the room felt like it was spinning around her like she was trapped in a dark deep place. Like the scene in the movie Get Out when the guy sinks into the chair.

She felt as if she lost the majority of her senses, with the main one being her body feeling a bit numb and weak.

"Ughhhh, w-what is…what is happening?" Lillian attempted to stand up after feeling this weird sensation.

At first she thought that maybe the wine and the cider has made her completely shit faced drunk. But it wasn't because she was drunk…it was something else.

PSHHHHHHH!

"Fuck sake girl! You are way too drunk! I'm calling you a cab!" The scarlet macaw man was about to pull out his cell phone to call a cab for the girl. But all of a sudden, she felt someone holding her up from behind.

"No worries mg friend! You'll have to excuse her, she's a bit of a light weight when it comes to drinking." Someone spoke from behind her, escorting her out of the pub.

"Ughhh, stupid tart!" The bartender groaned and went to fetch the dustpan and brush.

As for Lillian, she was struggling so much to keep her eyes open all of a sudden. And the way that she was being escorted out of the pub, indicated that whoever this individual was…she couldn't see them. But she could hear her surroundings.

"Wh…Who are you?" Lillian muttered in a heavy tone, as her eyes began to feel even heavier.

"You know me all too well…" The male spoke in a charming yet sinister voice. A voice that…sent shivers down her spine. Despite feeling very dizzy and weak from the drinking. "Did you like my gift?"

"C-C-Carlos?" Lillian realised that was in fact her ex boyfriend Carlos who was the one carrying her. And not only that, the guy who got her the drink of cider. "What…did you d-do to me?"

"Ahhh, you noticed that I added a little something extra to your drink? I just added a pinch of heroin to your cider. Don't worry my love…I didn't add enough to fatally hurt you. Just enough for you to listen…" He muttered in a calm yet sadistic tone. As he smiled at her with a very controlling and manipulative expression.

"H-H-Heroin?" Lillian all of a sudden felt like they were walking on the sand, and if that wasn't strange enough. She ended up falling onto her back and laid on the sand.

"Shhhhhh…Don't worry mi amor. I did tell you that I would eventually have you again, didn't I?" He chuckled in a sadistic tone, as he leaned over and began whispering into her ear. "You belong to me…and me only! No one else shall have you! Because I am all you have now…" Before departing, he did something very creepy.

Carlos kissed her on the beak without her consent, and once he departed from the kiss. You could see that she had a few tears rolling down her cheeks as she was absolutely terrified. And he just stood there staring at her, before walking away.

Leaving her alone on the sand…before she immediately passed out.

Ooooh dear! Ooooh fear ooooh dear! Now Lillian has been hit by the Surge Of Heartbreak! Watching her boyfriend kiss another woman must have really hurt her! Now she's gone drinking to drown her sorrows. Sofia told Jacqueline how she feels about Pedro when getting absolutely wasted. But has instructed her not to tell anyone! Which being the good friend that she was, she agreed. And now, Carlos had drugged Lillian and has once again attempted to mentally manipulate her. And she's frozen in terror from his return. And you might ask, how will things get any worse? Well…you'll have to wait until the next chapter now! See you all soon for the next one!
