Chapter 1: A Recap

"Hi there! My name is Tangle the Lemur! You can just call me Tangle!

I was just chilling around, waiting for my next adventure, when I realized something! Some people might not know who I am! I CAN'T let that slide!

So! I am gonna do you a solid and give you a brief rundown of my adventures so far! HEEEEEEEERE WE GOOOOOOOOO!

My adventure starts just like any other, with me face planting after being launched off my bike.

My best friend (also totes best sister ever) Jewel and I had just set out on our own, ready to make a difference in the world! Jewel wants to open a museum to show the people of our world just how beautiful it is, and I wanted to be a super cool globe trotting hero, just like everyone's favorite hedgehog: Sonic.

Things quickly got crazy though, when we actually stumbled on EGGMAN of all people! And get this! He was kidnapping a little girl! RUDE!

Luckily, that little girl was Cream, a friend of Sonic's, so her mother was able to give me a tracker so that I could lead Sonic RIIIIIIIGHT to Eggman's base! AND IT WORKED!

… Then this thing called "Chaos Control" happened and I ended up in a separate dimension…

I totally handled it like a champ and didn't freak out… much.

Before long though, I got to meet my hero and his friends, a twin tailed genius fox named Miles Prower (though everyone calls him Tails), another Hedgehog named Amy (she's obsessed with Sonic) and Knuckles the Echidna (a major loner).

I also met some locals from this strange new world, mainly a young boy named Chris, whose house we stayed in while we were there.

Oh, and not only that, but Sonic and Tails actually agreed to TRAIN ME TO BE A HERO! HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Tails' input was especially helpful, since he is pretty much the tail expert.

Oh right, I got this super cool, super stretchy tail that can REALLY pack a punch!

So anyways, we had a goal at that point: gather the scattered Chaos Emeralds, and go home!

We had a few adventures, a baseball game, fights with Eggman, you know the deal if you know about Sonic. We eventually gathered the Chaos Emeralds… but of course not everything went to plan and that world and ours began to merge… oops.

Anyways, after that was an Adventure involving the lovely Tikal, who now lives in my head! Rent free too might I add! The freeloader… ok I am joking.

It was a mess, her friend Chaos was very angry that her tribe destroyed his home and hurt his friends to get the Chaos Emeralds like, a REALLY long time ago, so Tikal sealed the two of them in the Master Emerald… and then Eggman broke them out.

Gotta keep a leash on that guy I swear!

Anyways, you get the gist, gather the Emeralds, kick Eggman's butt, yadda-yadda.

Though this time, I was kinda conked out for a bit of it… hey, I was getting tested by Tikal! She showed me her past, and wanted to see how I'd react to everything going on! I passed, of course, cause I am awesome!

We finished gathering the Emeralds, lost them to Chaos, and Sonic got them back to kick his butt and save the day!

And then I had a building fall on me… ow. I had to save a little girl (her name is Haruka btw) and well… yeah. Her dad Kiryu seemed pretty cool btw… for the like, minute I knew him.

Anyways, I broke an ankle when that happened and that leads into another Adventure!

This time, with a loner Hedgehog named Shadow. His story… is deep, complex, and for some reason I feel like you know all about it somehow, so I am NOT gonna go too deep into it!

My ankle was still messed up, so I KINDA just got in the way… but I tried my best!

I mean, I almost got blown up on an exploding island… and got caught by Eggman… and then couldn't help when Shadow's creator tried to crash a space colony into the planet, but I WAS the one to convince Shadow to help us in the end AND came up with the plan to save the planet! So it's all good!

Though I did kinda blame myself for Shadow dying after that… spoilers: He got better.

Anyways, after that… JEWEL!

Yeah, forgot to mention this, but Jewel was kinda stuck back on our own planet that whole time, but not long after the Shadow Fiasco, she got transported to Chris' world! So we had a tearful reunion!

And then, oh mama here comes MY TRAMA!

Thing is this: back then, I had no idea how I ended up in Spiral Hill Village, but that all changed after I started having these weird nightmares.

To summarize, I was constantly being hunted down, while being moved in some box… it was freaky.

I later found out why, when I got conked out by some chloroform, and captured by a jerk of a Jackal.

Turns out, I was born in a village where they think Mobians with mutations are an affront to society, and need to be murdered.

My mom… apparently she also had a tail like mine… and was killed… my dad was killed trying to get me away from there.

I… can't forgive the Jackal for that… I still have nightmares about that day… the sword he was wielding… so close to me… so close to killing me…

Anyways! Thankfully, everyone charged in and saved my life! Jewel was so cool that day!

All of this was thanks to the help of a wolf named Shout, a childhood friend of my dad's… he sacrificed his life to save mine…

I made a promise to him, to find his daughter Whisper and to tell her that he's sorry for not doing more to help me… Apparently, we were really good friends back when I lived there.

I'm still looking for her to this day.

Ok, less trauma, more fighting!

There was a fighting tournament, I came in second to a robot named Gemerl, who Cream got close to… and then she had to destroy it cause it got completely out of control… that was really not fun…

Some more adventures happened, and eventually we had to say goodbye to Chris' world. It was… really sad, but had to be done to prevent time from stopping in both of our worlds soooooo yeah…

About six months later, back in our own world, we met a girl from space named Cosmo!

And then we got invaded by an evil space empire called the Metarex… yup.

They stole the… what did they say it was… crystalized essence of our planets life force? Either way, we had to go into space to get it back, and gather the Chaos Emeralds Sonic stupidly scattered through space.

It was REALLY cool! Especially since Chris found a way to visit us at that exact time! How's that for good timing? He was also like, really tall? He says it had been six years instead of six months… I don't know how it works.

Anyways, buncha stuff happened, we found out Shadow was alive thanks to Eggman saving him, and yeah! Soon enough we were off to the final battle with the Metarex!

Worth mentioning… yeah, Tails and Cosmo are absolutely crushing on each other at this point, Tails is fully aware of it, but Cosmo still hasn't figured it out… she's not great at this, huh?

AAAAANYWAYS! Cosmo almost got herself killed… and almost made Tails pull the trigger…

That girl I swear… I do NOT want to know what Tails would have gone through if I didn't put a stop to that plan!

How did I do that you ask? Duh, I used the Chaos Emeralds (thanks to Tikal's help) to kick the Metarex leader's BUTT!

Ok, I didn't exactly kick his butt, I just stuck a sword into him to seal his powers so Tails could fire Super Sonic and Super Shadow out of a cannon to destroy him.

But my super form is cool! It's like my whole body turns to rubber, so SUUUUUPER stretchy and bouncy, and I can make basically everything else I touch the same thing! I still don't know how it works too well, but I am NOT complaining! Sucks that I am not invulnerable, but still! SUPER COOL!

We kinda lost track of Shadow after that, but he'll pop up again soon enough.

And that leads us to today!

Chris went home, we miss him of course, Cosmo is living with me and Jewel, and yeah!

I spend my days honing my skills, going on adventures with Jewel, and searching for Whisper when I can. And if Eggman decides to cause trouble again, well, you know I'll be there to lend a hand!"

At that moment, Tails burst into the room.

"Tangle! There's trouble! We need to get to Angel Island!" He said frantically.

"And that's my cue!" Tangle said before turning off her video camera that she was pointing at a bunch of crude drawings she made of her adventures thus far.

"… What were you doing?"

"Making a documentary… wanna be in it?" Tangle asked with a smile.

Tails just laughed slightly at that.

"I'm good, now come on, Eggman has the Chaos Emeralds!" He said.

"WHAT?!"

End of Chapter 1

And here we are at the… unofficial start of Act 2! I thought it would be a good idea to recap what happened in Act 1 really quickly, since some people might want to skip the Sonic X stuff and get straight into the game stuff with Act 2.

For those of you who are new here, hi! I think the chapter really explained what this is pretty well, so I'll just leave it at that.

This story will be covering many of the games in the Sonic series, up until Sonic Forces. And… yeah, not much more to say! Next time will be a quick go over of what happened during Sonic Advance 3, and then we will REALLY get started with Sonic Heroes!

I'll post Advance 3 next week, and I'll go over how the release schedule is going to work after that.

Seeing when I decided to post this, I just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas if you celebrate and a happy first day of Hanukkah and a happy Kwansaa tomorrow if you celebrate those holidays instead... and a happy boxing day if you are in Canada too :)
