BICYCLE

Grinding metal and crackling sparks filled the air. Following the noise, a bystander looked up. "It's a bird!"

Another yelled, "It's a plane!"

The silhouette passed across the sun before plummeting down. Moments before impact, Bakugo blasted at the ground, slowing himself enough to stick the landing with his bicycle.

"Move it or lose it, extras!" Bakugo roared. He wove in between cars on the road and zipped past a loitering cop fast enough to yank the doughnut from his fingers.

A drawbridge rose, letting a massive ship pass. Bakugo zipped up the incline, plunged in between two metal pillars, and sent himself higher with more explosions. He smashed wheel-first through a window, sped past rows of cubicles, and plunged out the other wall onto a raised freeway. Balancing atop the concrete barrier lining the road, he bumped elbow to rearview mirrors with morning commuters, then hopped off the highway onto a power cable.

A double-decker bus drove alongside the power cable. Bakugo hopped onto its roof, then tore down an alleyway at breakneck speeds. A dumpster was lodged sideways, blocking the path. Bakugo jumped onto a wall and pedaled at an angle until he cleared the obstacle.

Busting out into traffic, Bakugo wove through the honking cars and panicked pedestrians like a master seamstress, leaving dropped shopping bags and crumpled hoods in his wake. Red and blue lights shone from behind him. Bakugo looked back and saw Iida Tensei sprinting full-tilt towards him.

"Halt!" Ingenium shouted. "You are in violation of traffic laws, Quirk usage laws, and the laws of physics!"

"No robot's going to stop me!" Bakugo shouted. "The fate of mankind hangs in the balance!"

Smoke billowed out of Ingenium's mufflers. Feeling his pursuer getting closer, Bakugo threw two massive explosions behind him. Windows shattered with the sound barrier, and stray cars beeped noisily as the shockwave shook them.

Despite his incredible speed, Ingenium remained hot on his wheels. A police barricade went up in front of him. Hunting for a way out, Bakugo saw a parking ramp. He blasted his way halfway up the structure.

Near the final floor, Ingenium closed the gap. "There's nowhere to run! Hit your brakes and come quietly!"

Bakugo cackled and pedaled towards the edge. Ingenium shouted, "Don't try it!"

"Bite me!"

Bakugo leapt. Ingenium skidded to a stop, watching as Bakugo flew towards a skyscraper. He stuck the landing on the roof, but his momentum carried him past the building. Blasting himself backwards, Bakugo pinned his wheels to the building and pedaled. The wind slicked his hair back and yanked his shirt off, and his tires melted as he shot down the building. Near the bottom, he blasted away, raced across the finish line, and slid to a classic Akira stop.

"Nice time, Bakugo!" Izuku said. "That was marginally faster than expected."

"Dammit!" Bakugo spun around. "But surely you're out of fuel now! I'll beat you back to school!"

Once Bakugo sped away, Izuku teleported himself back to U.A.

Ingenium: *sees Bakugo racing in the other direction*

Ingenium: I think I'll go look for Stain

Also, does anyone remember if Tensei got Stain'd in this story? I sure as hell don't :P
