A/N

Howdy, everyone! Here's the new and improved chapter three. It's slightly sorter than the others, but with the way I'm having this fic going, I figured it would tie in better like this. Hope you like this chapter, enjoy :)

It was around ten later that night when Sam finally got back home. The aforementioned boy walks in with a slight smile on his face, missing the piercing blue eyes staring at him from the darkness of his living room.

"So, what's with the smile, dear cousin of mine?"

Sam whips around, hairs raising slightly in alarm before his mind registers that the person looking out at him was none other than Karma. The male lets out a huff of air, his hand coming up to rest over his heart.

"Jesus, Karma. You can't sneak up on me like that, dude."

In response, Karma stuck a tongue out at the boy. Sam went on to tell her about the drive, as well as some weird antics the car seemed to have done while on the way to Michaela's house.

"Speaking of, you didn't do anything to my car to make it act up, did you?" Sam asked, while the both of them quietly made their way upstairs and to their separate rooms.

"Who do you think I am? I would never harm a car like that." Karma replied, a faux offended tone seeping into her voice. "Either way, that is a wee bit strange. I can check it out when I next get a chance, if you want."

Sam nodded absently, halfway inside his room. He only looked back once to give Karma a slight smile before silently closing his door. Karma followed in his footsteps and went to her own room, tossing on her pajamas before throwing herself onto her bed.

Karma was startled awake when something burst into her room. Her sleep muddled brain was quick to pick up on the intruder and she found the machete she had under her pillow. The long knife was in her hands faster than her mind was able to pick up on the fact that the supposed "intruder" was none other than her idiotic cousin.

"What the fuck, Sam! You know you can't fucking sneak up on me like that! Gods', I coulda killed ya!" Karma whisper-yelled, careful not to raise her voice too loud. She was pretty sure the adults were still asleep. She couldn't even see the sun coming in through her window.

"Yeah, yeah, I get that, but someone is stealing the damned car!" Sam whisper-yelled back, motioning towards Karma's window.

The teen got up quickly, rushing towards her window. And, Sam was right. The Camaro was currently being driven out of their driveway. A muttered cuss left Karma as she pulled on some jeans over the boxers she wore for sleep and a sweatshirt over her tank top. Tying up her converse, she grabbed her phone and messenger bag before following Sam out of the house.

When she got to the garage, Karma threw Sam a helmet who strapped it on before grabbing his bike. Karma started up her own motorbike and had her cousin hold on to the bar that sat above her license plate.

The duo followed the stolen car to an abandoned construction site, or what Karma thought was an abandoned site. How the hell would she know? The stolen Camaro was cut off by a passing train, the car itself being driven over the tracks right before the train came. Sam got off his bike and followed after the stolen car, jumping over a connector before dashing after the Chevy.

Karma took a different route. Slightly further along the tracks was a pile of scrap, with a very conveniently placed ramp just tall enough for her to jump her motorcycle. The teen revved the engine, having an impossible staredown with the pile of junk. She didn't entirely know if she'd be able to do what she was planning. Karma hadn't ever used her motorbike for tricks.

She supposed it was time to try.

Inhaling and then exhaling, the ramp got closer and closer, the bike finally hitting the wood after what seemed like eons to Karma. The teen shifted the bike to where she'd be able to jump it, but the gap that she was aiming for wouldn't be able to fit the two-wheeler.

The girl closed her blue eyes before they shot open again. She flung herself over the handlebars of the bike, planting her hands on the solid ground on the other side of the train before tucking her head and rolling. Her back hits the ground harshly, the breath being forced from her lungs.

Karma couldn't help just laying there for a bit, trying to bring her lungs back into the picture. A disbelieving laugh bubbled its way out of her chest. She did it. She fucking did it. But, damn, she lost her bike. A wave of sadness swept over her. Karma had been hoping to keep the bike from being damaged, but now she supposed she wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.

Pulling herself onto her feet, she was quick to find Sam, watching as the boy was chased by two very big dogs. A sigh left her pale lips before she let out a shrill whistle, getting the dogs' attention. Karma was off and running before the dogs had a chance to debate on which intruder to follow. They were on her heels within seconds. She could feel their powerful jaws snapping at the air where her feet had been.

Karma was just rounding into a building, blue eyes locked onto Sam, when one of the dogs finally got its jaws clamped around her shin. The teeth easily pierced the flesh, blood nearly gushing out. Karma let out a scream, pain lacing her voice and face. The teen fell to the ground, grappling with the much bigger animal while also trying to keep the other dog off of her.

A stroke of luck hit her when she planted her hands on the ground to try and scoot back, her right hand hitting a cold object. Glancing down, she took a firm hold on the metal pipe and swung as hard as she could, bashing the dog in the muzzle. She winced at the animal's sudden pain-filled cries. Karma didn't exactly want to be hitting dogs off her, but when life gave you lemons, she supposed.

The other dog back off after the display to its friend, leaving after the original attacker. Sam was quick to help her to stand, putting her arm around his shoulders. Her knees buckled and she hissed anytime she was forced to put weight on her leg, but she refused to say anything else about it.

Once they get out of the building, they make their way towards an abandoned dig site, crouching at the sound of strange whirring. Peeking her head out, Karma couldn't help but gasp at what she was met with. Sam tried to get her to talk, but the only thing she did was grab his hair and force him to peek over the machine as well. She heard his breath catch.

Standing in front of them was a giant robot, looking to be transforming to its full height. Not only that, but the fucking robot was transforming from the supposedly stolen Chevy Camaro. The giant had a distinctly male figure, the bulkiness probably coming from the other parts of the car. The Camaro-turned robot was shining some type of light into the sky, and when it turned, the pair was forced to duck lest they be seen.

The only thought currently running through Karma's mind was; What. The. Actual. Fuck. What the two were seeing right now shouldn't have been possible. Karma was a mechanic, for fuck's sake, and she knew that the way that robot transformed wasn't exactly something that could be done with science. Not even advanced science.

A voice to her right startled Karma, her eyes shifting to see Sam holding his phone and recording. Without thinking, Karma slapped the phone out of the other teen's hands, watching as it hit the pavement. The boy tried to say something, but she was quick to put a hand over his mouth.

"If there's something about this robot that we're not supposed to know, and you go about recording everything, what do you think happens to us when the owners figure out two teenagers were seemingly messing with their stuff?"

Sam wanted to say something, but he knew that it was an argument he wouldn't win, plus, he had no other challenges to what she was saying. Instead he huffed before crossing his arms.

Karma rolled her eyes at his antics before dragging him off, careful to avoid the gaze of the giant mechanical being. The siblings didn't even make it out of the scrapyard before the wailing of sirens could be heard in the distance, steadily coming closer.

"Shit." She groaned, watching the blinking red and blue lights. Today was not going in her favor.
