Eight

Heyo! Welcome to chapter eight! This means I'm finally caught up with everything I'd already written. Unfortunately this is a short chapter, only like 700 words, but it was more of a gap chapter if you will. Hopefully everything I've written is enough to stave off the pitchforks until I can figure out how I'm gonna finish up the movie. Plus, since it's summer, I'll have more time to write. Don't forget, if you wanna, I've got 3 other stories y'all can have a look at if you really wanna, just to have something to read from me. They're for Five Nights at Freddy's (Monty's Handler), Bendy and the Ink Machine (Living Ink Lies), and Halo (Blood and Ash). If you don't wanna read those, that's perfectly fine, but at least now y'all know why I'm so inaccurate with my updating, lmao. Anyway, bye for now, and hope to see y'all soon. :)

Simmons was quick to bring the group of soldiers and the (surprisingly terrifying) teen to the room (lab) where the scientists were holding the NBE. He didn't even get the chance to fully open the doors and warn the scientists before the hellion burst into the room and started attacking his men. He would've stopped her, but he honestly didn't think he could.

Karma was quick to barge into the room, immediately shoulder-checking one of the guards and body-slamming the other two that ran at her. She was throwing hits and dodging them, all the while looking on as the torture slowly stopped. Bumblebee wasn't entirely worse for wear, but he was stiff, looking at the humans around him in something akin to fear in his blue optics.

Bee lets out a growl, placing a hand in front of the girl, keeping her close to him. He let himself scan her for a moment, his optics easily picking up on the new bruising forming on her wrists as well as the lacerations and chaffing on other parts of her body, centered mainly on her forearms. Lennox and Epps tried to get closer to the mechanical being, but quickly brought their hands up in front of them in a show of non-aggression.

"Bee, as much as I'd love to see you go fucking ham on these guys, Lennox and Epps aren't the ones to worry about. They helped me get to you, actually. But, right now, the main problem is the tyrant who's sitting in the hangar right next to the Allspark."

That got Bumblebee's full attention, and Karma explained what had been discovered while he was… away. The bot narrowed his optics, sweeping them over the room before standing, lightly placing Karma on one of his shoulder plates. Lennox was quick to show the Autobot scout to the hangar holding the Allspark, watching in awe when Bee went up to the alien relic, barely touching it.

Even the slight touch was enough to get the Allspark to respond, shrinking until it was at least a tenth of its original size, small enough to where Bee gave it to Karma. The teen hesitated. This was basically the epitome of Cybertronian knowledge, and Bumblebee was just handing it to her. She took a breath before taking the Allspark from the scout.

Karma couldn't help the hiss of pain as something akin to electricity shot across her body, seeming to stay slightly longer in her somehow-still-fresh wounds. Bee looked on in worry, going to take it back before she harshly shook her head. For some reason, she didn't wanna let the Allspark go. Something physically wouldn't let her. It was almost like the Allspark in and of itself was tethered to her now, by a rope only it could actually see. Which was a weird thought, but oh well.

When Karma next looks up, her eyes have hardened, going the color of steel, locking with the Colonel's hazel ones.

"We need to get the Allspark out of the city, somewhere small, easy to evacuate. Any thoughts?" She asks, directing her attention to the Colonel and Sergeant standing slightly behind her.

Thinking for a moment, Lennox says, "Mission City is twenty-two miles from here. It's small enough to be evacuated within the hour. We get to the city before everything goes to shit and hide the Cube there until someone can grab it and take it somewhere safer."

Karma glances at General Moreshower. "General, we need birds in the air. When we get to the city, we're gonna set up some kind of communications relay and tell y'all where we're stationing ourselves so we can drop off the Allspark."

The General nods, quickly dissolving to discuss with the soldiers and Simmons how best to get transmission to the Airforce without it being intercepted by the Decepticons. The Allspark seems to buzz in Karma's arms, like it was agreeing with her plan. She honestly wouldn't be too surprised if it was agreeing with her. Karma didn't think anything could surprise her, not after what her life had become.

Once the ragtag team is given the go-ahead, Bumblebee transforms, stopping next to Karma. The teen looks around the hangar, watching as soldiers piled into military grade vehicles mounted with heavy duty turrets. Soon, they were on the road, heading towards Mission City. With any luck, they'll get there before the Decepticon's have even figured out that they have the Allspark. Although, with how Karma's luck was running that week, she had a feeling that they'd run into some issues long before they even reached the city limits.

How right she was.
