AN: Here is the next one. If it wasn't for the POV in the middle I might as well name the chapter Psychos. Note, I really can't stand Molly Weasley. I know I have a tendency to bash her but I have tried to at least sympathize with the character where she lost her son, but she's still a bitch in my opinion. I really couldn't stand her in cannon in book five and I hold grudges so here we are. The next chapter should be longer this one was exceedingly short but honestly it really didn't make much sense making it longer.

Chapter 39: Aftermath

Lily Potter looked at her two patients or prisoners depending on how you went about it—Severus and now Lucius. How had the tables had turned. Hopefully, once she got Lucius feeling a little better she could move into Malfoy manor.

She needed a step up from this dump.

Severus's dump.

She looked at the bastard who had been unconscious since earlier this spring when she had finally taken over.

The only reason she hadn't killed him yet was she still needed his hair for Polyjuice potion that and there were certain things she needed to question him about—like her son.

She didn't know how he could keep her son's death from her and what she heard utterly disgusted her. He had planned on using a potion on her to make him fall in love with her. He even thought of using the potion she had stolen from him to rewrite her mind.

Nasty little substance that was. She knew very well what that shit could do. She had after all used it on her child's donors. Of course, she made said potion better than the version he used and sold it to the ministry. Not that it mixed well with the original.

When she had learned he made some for Lucius Malfoy, she had to say she was intrigued. She had come to the man's office today to see if he still had it and to swipe it rather than brewing her own, but it clearly wasn't there when she arrived. Instead, Lucius was there almost dead.

He had made someone very angry….Very angry indeed she thought as she remembered looking at his body. She would've thought he had been mauled save for the fact that he had been visibly castrated and she didn't think a wild animal would be exactly that thorough in removing his family jewels. She was actually surprised he was alive given the pain he was clearly suffering in. He probably deserved it, she thought. She knew Lucius and his stupid wife.

Narcissa Malfoy. That bint had always been so suspicious of her back in the day. She wondered how Narcissa would like to know her ex-husband was smooth like a Ken doll now. Hell, maybe she was the one who mauled him, Lily thought. Though she doubted it. Narcissa had never been the aggressive type, unlike that whore of a sister of hers.

Lily smirked at the fate of Bellatrix Lestange though she had been visibly disgusted with what Severus had done to the woman. Who knew she would've become a whore. So, so fitting. At least she was dead now. It made her feel a little better even though her child was gone.

She felt so empty finding out Harry was dead. She was still trying to figure out what she was going to do next. She was a dead woman and by accounts the only thing holding her on to this life was dead. A part of her had thought about rewriting her own identity, but after seeing what happened to Lestrange there was no way in hell she was going to do that.

Sure, she was going to be masquerading as Severus next year at Hogwarts. But she didn't want to play Potions teacher to a bunch of kids for the rest of her life. Especially as a greasy git.

No, with Lucius she might have another option. He did have a substantial family estate. Aside from the fact he was missing his family jewels, he could make for a nice new husband especially once she altered his mind.

"Wingardium Leviosa." Harry said as he tried to get the feather to levitate. He bit his lip and then realized, "Oh I'm pronouncing it wrong."

The feather floated straight up after he corrected his pronunciation.

"Very good, Harry." Remus said. "I didn't even have to correct you."

"I….I had a vague recollection of someone correcting me in the past, Moony." He said frowning.

The man frowned knowing Harry's memory loss still upset him after all these months later. For the most part the boy had made peace with what had happened in the fall. Talking to the mind healer helped, but he still got frustrated very quickly especially when it involved his lost memory.

Three months of his life gone….So many things left blank. He still knew nothing about his supposed best friend. Or the fact about how he got sorted into Gryffindor or really much about his old wand. The only reason he knew it was holly because it was found with him that night with the troll…

He shuddered.

"Are you okay?" His father's friend and his tutor asked.

He nodded. "I'm fine, I just….I wish I didn't have these gaps in my memory. I was hoping when I started to do magic again. It's silly…"

"It's not," Moony said. "I understand how you feel. I have memory gaps too."

Harry nodded. He had heard that Remus was that girl's father. Hermione Granger. He wanted to ask about how she was doing, but he didn't want to pry. He knew Draco wanted to ask too.

He still wasn't totally comfortable around Draco. He understood the boy was his cousin, but he could just be so mean. He hated the way he treated Aunt Cissy and he was rude to Remus today saying he didn't need to review a baby charm.

Remus had just rolled his eyes and told him he was to work on his History of Magic essay which the boy reluctantly did away from them.

Harry knew Draco was upset that Aunt Cissy had gone on a date with Remus. He saw the look on his face the other night when she came down there in those red robes of hers.

He was actually happy to see Aunt Cissy looking like herself again. Well, as much as she looked like herself these days. He still remembered the way her face looked that day she told him to collect his stuff at the manor. Something really bad had happened between her and Lucius. No one would go into details about it though. Probably because they thought he was too young. That was always the excuse.

Much like his dad wouldn't tell him he was dating Claire even though it was pretty apparent.

He found himself really liking the woman, though he found her looking at him differently the past few days. He couldn't quite explain what it was, Claire had just seemed more protective of him than in the past.

"Okay, one more time," Remus said.

Harry performed the charm again this time perfectly. Swish and flick, he thought as he finished it. The practical parts so far had been easy enough. Though he was pretty sure it was just charms he had learned previously.

"I'd assign you an essay over it, but you seem to know the charm pretty well." Remus said.

Harry nodded.

Swish and flick.

He grimaced. "I think….I think we tried to use that spell to fight the troll. Obviously, it didn't work. I don't think Ron ever listened to her."

Remus looked intrigued. "Her meaning?"

"Hermione," Harry said. "I'm sorry…I shouldn't."

"No, it's fine." Remus said. "Did that just come back to you?"

He nodded. "I…I remember the troll picked me up after it didn't work. Then…well, everything goes black."

Remus nodded. "Do you want to stop for the day?"

Harry took a deep breath, "I…I don't know. You've seen her right?"

"Who?"

"Hermione. Dad says you're her father."

Remus nodded. "Yes, yes, I am."

"Is she….okay?" He asked.

"She's doing better," Remus said.

Harry looked at him.

"Better than she was doing," He said.

"I'd like to tell her I hope she was doing better, but, well, I'm…that part of me is dead."

"What about if you could tell her that as Harry Black?"

"I'd like that."

Molly Weasley frowned as she wondered how she'd get through the next few months. Percy's trial was coming up and she didn't think she'd have the strength to get through it. This year had been entirely way too difficult. First with losing Ronald and then…well, Percy being incarcerated for trying to defend the family's honor.

She kept telling herself he didn't mean to hurt the girl, even though she knew the truth of the matter.

Quite frankly, she wished she wouldn't have gone off on the little trollop when the school held the service for Ronnie all the way back in the fall. She just…she just had to lash out at someone and the girl was there and she knew she was there that night.

And she did blame her for his death. She knew Arthur and even Albus tried to tell her that it was Ron's choice to go into the girl's lavatory that night, but if she hadn't been there her son would still be alive as well as Harry Potter.

That poor, poor, boy. She still remembered hearing the news he had died, and it felt like she had lost yet another one of her children and then Percy….

She was just glad when she found out that the girl wasn't going to lose her being status. She had been informed that that was likely going to happen and had been preparing for the worst at Percy's trial.

She and Arthur had argued back and forth whether or not they should encourage Percy to take a plea deal. Personally, she did not think he should, but Arthur thought otherwise. The legal fees were expensive and they had poor Ginny's things to get next year.

Poor Ginny she was besides herself when Harry Potter had died. She had always had such a crush on the boy. In a way she thought she took his death harder than Ronnie's.

Ronnie.

Poor, poor, Ronnie. It would never get easier.

"Molly, are you ready?"

She turned to see Arthur. Percy's trial was starting today. She didn't think she ever would be ready even though she technically was. She had fixed her hair and was wearing a set of conservative black robes that washed her out. She honestly didn't really care since she had no desire to see her child sentenced to jail. And that was likely what was going to happen today if Percy took Arthur's advice.

She still hadn't talked to him about it since he mentioned that he advised the boy to take a plea deal.

It wasn't even a decent deal. Twenty years in jail.

"He could be jail for life, Molly." Arthur said. "He should just be glad the being status went well or he could get the kiss."

"If he takes that deal, you're dead to me."

"Molly," Arthur said.

"I cannot lose another child, Arthur."

And she meant it. If Percy plead guilty today she would leave him. Arthur had blown her off by rolling his eyes about the whole thing.

She knew she thought he was being dramatic. She knew he didn't approve of what she had told the Granger trollop last fall.

"It will be okay, you'll see." Arthur said.

Yet somehow, Molly did not think it would be okay.

Chapter 40 Preview: Fairly Lupin family centric. Emma has court, she and Remus discuss things, and Hermione deals with her new reality.
