Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
What it also shows is going to be why the crew dropped in directly after his memory recall, over La Rochelle, and their discussion over Wesley's hearing. And what happened, as Wesley plays back the entire thing for them, as Sito and Wesley. They get off, and Hajar gets permanently disgraced now, while Locarno is still expelled. And is facing charges for murder and attempted murder now, after the accident now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 7: Return To Base And Mission Directives II
"Like anyone would say, space is cold, that you're all dressed in long sleeves, aside from the kids, but being in the coldest continent on Earth, it's a never ending winter in the rockies. Or the great lake states here, so bundle up and stay warm here outside, with it being summer there right now." he said and she nodded. "Well as you're all Star Trek fans, my version, as my generation, just go season 3, in appearance, you're a red." Deanna said and he nodded smiling.
"Still sell the costumes, we can buy them and get ourselves designated to our color department, red means pilots and command, blue medical, psychiatry and science, and dark gold. That means security, technical and the engineering teams, so that's all three of you." he said and the quintet nodded, smiling. "Your version is the one I love anyway, I watch your show all the time, the people playing you, got it to 2375 now." he said and they all nodded, as Picard said it then.
"That's 9 years for us in whatever happens prior to the Traveler coming back into this." Picard said and he nodded to him. "Let's just say being at the academy had the opposite effect you wanted, some little punk named Locarno got him in trouble with inquiry. And you and Beverly with them right now, just wait and you'll see what I mean, if you have Geordi and Data. Now do the forensics, calm down, and this is a case of don't shoot the messenger." he said to him then.
"If something was left out on the recordings, this means the little brat attempted it closer then you should attempt it, in your more dangerous maneuvers of precision flying." he said and they nodded. "I'm not going to like the realization of which one am I, if Wesley tried to talk them out of this, and whoever was killed with him?" he asked and Daniel nodded. "You know your own piloting maneuvers this one got banned when Kirk was a cadet." he said and he nodded then.
"When running forensics, you discovered here that opened his coolant interlock, before the accident." he said and Geordi exchanged looks with Data then. "Well that narrows it down, but open coolant interlock, that's the first step to…., to purging the plasma." Geordi said sternly and Data nodded as his mind processed what happened that day. "It's the first step in purging the plasma exhaust.." he said and Picard nodded slowly, seeing instead of a just turned 17 year old.
He saw his son as a 6 year old, and when they saw each other, at 15, as he remembered his adoptive son, with the youthful smile of a young boy of 10 to 12, and his fatherly instincts toward him went crazy. 'No baby, baby please tell me you didn't, you're not ready for this yet, if you were trying to send every message possible. Just to get me to realize it, I understand, but they're facing my wrath if I get called to the school.' he thought, praying it wasn't true then.
"Yeah, the engine would probably ignite the plasma." Geordi said and he nodded in realization, as he said it. "Ignite the plasma: That's exactly what they were trying to do, only doing it too close together and it fried whoever's exhaust and killed them. And Wesley ended up hurt from the blast, young man just what the hell were you thinking of. You're not ready for this yet, and that close together, it could kill all of you." he said sternly to leader of the squadron at that.
"Thank you for the warning, if he was leaving clues to me, to help me crack it, I never been so furious, they talked him into lying to us. I should have never let him go to the academy, he was better off with us, if he got sick. And during the aftermath of the next footfold we had on the ship, but Wesley's right, if I been compromised. They can't trust anyone on the ship, over the age of 25, us being their parents and legal guardians here." he said sternly and he nodded
"Well I suggest you watch the show, if he decides to add onto the manhunt later, we know what's going on, but as you thought, drugged and he can come up 4 good ideas. In an hour, but thinking straight.." he said and Will nodded. "Whoever it is working, through us, had better get out of his way, before he throws everything he has. When in his mental arsenal at them right now, yeah you're right, why else would we get overly protective." he said and Picard nodded.
"Well knowing what the future holds now, after he returns to the academy, I'm tempted to remove him from there right now, as he stays home, we have better use for him. Then they do, as on the ship, he's an ensign, borderline junior grade, there at the academy, he's a cadet. He knew the academy regs inside and out to attempt this, he never lied to me before. That he's not starting now, but a more personal matter, Wesley is my matter." he said and Daniel nodded.
"And there's an insult not going down well, I just got proof, my favorite show is real, you're it, this means I have to find the Earth side of the team, the girls. Geordi, Jim, Miles, Will, Wes and Picard's grandparents, if they all look like their grandparents. I just found my home, but what happens if I lose my memory, what then, are you or the crew going to come back. Slam my memory back into place now." he said softly and she nodded gently and he smiled in relief.
"Going to be okay, we're going to bring it back and when we do, you're you once again, the you we know, our friend, brother and son, we just got you back. We're not losing you again, no matter what the NID say, your powers are buried, for now. Once unlocked, and you're going to be more powerful then anyone we ever come across, as it jumps from member to member. In your family, Daniel." Guinan said and he nodded, as she hugged him tightly, and he smiled.
"Felger don't say it, that at least your heroes exist, but Vulcan Felger, Vulcan, but that's the Enterprise crew A, mine is D, but how can you call yourself a scientist. And not worship at the alter of Roddenberry." he said and she started laughing and nodded. "Yeah not good, with knowing they're real, those of us that are TNG are buying costumes. To match the department we belong to, you're a red, but you do everything." Anna said with a chuckle and she smiled.
"But but snorkeling is a nice word for it Simon, but you're right, he doesn't know the darkside to his heroes, whatsoever, at least our heroes exist, and we got them standing here right now." he said and Dr. Simon Coombs nodded in agreement gently. "Yep, but really, how many times we got to kill Apophis, before he's dead already, I was afraid. In truth, you were never going to come back, you treat me like an equal, not a hindrance." he said to him and he nodded gently.
"As I said here, guys knock it off, now let's all focus and see if we can't get this thing to work." a scientist said with a bemused smile "Well us scientists, we all love you and to us no you, the galaxy just got a lot more dangerous, now that this system lord returned to the galaxy. Said whoever it might be, we need you there leading us like you always had." Coombs said and Daniel nodded in understanding, and Hammond chuckled, knowing everyone civilian then.
Had hero worship for Daniel, and they all looked up to him, he stood up for what he believed in, not bound by the rules of the military. "Our show's creator and our version, the next generation, alright point taken and for the record you're right, my version hasn't been born yet. But next best thing, gather your version, and your new student, is my baby's grandfather's." she said and he smiled. "Wes." he said to clarify smiling then and she nodded and he smiled gently then.
"Then I need to round up Jake, the Daytons and Robin's grandparents, season 5, Robin Lefler, his girlfriend now." he said and she nodded. "That's too late for that Danny, George, Sanderson told me about the SGA prerogatives now, so whatever you're doing is a choice between you, I chose Crusher, the Daytons and Lefler for advanced training, SGA specs." they heard and he nodded. "Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Jackson reporting for duty, Sir." Daniel said and he smiled.
"At ease Colonel and nice to meet you." Brigidaire General Michael Kerrigan said and they nodded smiling, in relief he said that. "Nice here, so we can gather your new command, her version's grandparents and your command is born. Not military force, you're trade and exploration now." Addison said and he nodded. "All but 3, we never been to the trio yet, to get Worf, Deanna and Tasha's grandparents yet." he said and they nodded in agreement to that.
"So you're sum number years left, before leaving a second time, that helps right now, you're on earth for the duration." he said and she nodded. "Indeed I am, our current season we're trapped in, is early season 3, and the blood feud between the Lornaks and Tralestas. We just a case of trouble with the defector, and we're above Angosia right now." she said and he nodded. "Oh great, two more episodes, and Q comes back." he said and she nodded, as they heard it then.
"You were saying, Commander." they heard and Picard swung his hand. "Lovely timing Q, first us and then you come visit our grandparents, was today really necessary?" Will said as Q appeared and Daniel covered his eyes. "Agreed right now, I just had multiple blood transfusions, but Q are you really choosing now to do this, after the night I had here?" he asked and the sextet started laughing and he smiled. "Yes, just giving you a taste of your future." he said to him then.
"And now I know how Will felt after he realized you made a return visit, it's been a year, your time, and upon hearing the Captain's in Ten Forward. The knowing smile, he knows you're back, before you blasted each other." Daniel said and he chuckled. "Agreed, upon hearing that, Worf and I knew immediately what the heck was going on, but you swore. Now, not to stop meddling in our affairs, and you did Q, been a while, still nothing's changed." Will said to that gently.
"Well currently we're not in the midst of an emergency, but I dropped by to tell them the truth, and you, now that you came by Picard, that my remark when we met. Said is the NID is really the commies I was talking about, return to Earth and put an end to the commies. But he has his memory short circuit, it's going to take multiple recalls, before he remembers. In what he's about to do the next 7 months now." he said, and Data and Deanna nodded in understanding.
"We understand and thank you for explaining that to, just don't over do it in the dropping by unexpectedly, we get enough of that from you already." Will told him and he nodded, as he answered Daniel's remark gently. "Can you put Earth into a time dilation, say 2 years in 5 months, I want a serious break right now." he asked and they nodded. "Yeah that's fair enough, the Q have the power to alter time, and history, if you need 2 years to 5, he can give that."
"And you become me of your generation now." Will said and Q nodded. "Once I tell them I found the weapon, put the galaxy in time dilation, 2 years in 5 to 7 months. Like said vision, forever in a day, well one day became 8 months, mentally, forever is 2 years in 5 months. Jacob is safe, if Apophis is alive, he's still trapped on wherever he is, so the galaxy now. It gets a serious respite from the war between Earth and the system lords." he said and Q nodded gently to him then.
"That's fine, once I do this, you get your respite, two years in 7 months, and the duo lost a year, in psychological counseling, especially if he does it a third time. But to answer your remark now, Commander, is though he, that's Commander Riker, was finding this funny. That it's when not in emergencies, we're getting used to each other, he finds me amusing. And without completely driving them crazy, as I drop in every now and again." he said as Anna was shaking in laughter.
"You going to start dropping in me, so we can become friends now, you're another mentor, like Morgan and Lya are?" he asked and he smiled in affection. "Yes I will, but only when the duo are not around, not an imaginary friend, so to speak, so I'm a real friend here now. But they never realized you been chosen by one of the most powerful races in the galaxies. So said claims of megalomaniac, they're one to talk, you're not letting the power go to your head now."
"We been friends a long time, you understand my lessons, but those men are exactly as I said here, our knowledge is for defense, never for attack. You understand that, because you're a black belt, but you're the premise of my remark to Captain Picard. Commander, put an end to the commies, those commies, are USA military intelligence. This intelligence network that Captain Maybourne is part of, and my double an SGA plant for." he said and Daniel nodded.
"And there we go, I have to return to earth, put an end to the commies, AKA the NID, all it takes are a few good men, and here I am, I will shut them down, them and Kinsey. I swear to that, Armin is being avenged." he said and he crossed his arms. "There we go, that's the premise of what I meant, only Picard never got that, only you can stop them. That's why I sent you that vision, through the Harcesis, the vision is correct, she's crossed over and you then."
"Hospitalized her, she's as you say, schizophrenic now, schizo effective, remember said movie on time traveling robots, she's the mother, and you're the boy, in thinking she's crazy. Before you get evidence to her claims, just say it, till she starts thinking straight. You don't want anything now to do with her, as the SGA is born now, and your command are 1/10th. Of the Enterprise crew, including Guinan." he said and Daniel nodded, as he put a hand on his shoulder then.
"I'm just saying this right now, if Jack gets infected, and leaves the base, it's the caveman plague all over again, only this time, it's the Schizophrenic catch of seeing aliens. And it's infecting everyone he came into contact with, how are we going to explain this. He just jeopardized the entire program by leaving the base." he said and Carson covered his eyes then sternly. "Young man, you are in so much trouble." Matheson said and the sextet nodded sternly.
"My vision, showing me the truth as I never fired on whoever, I was firing on the NID ops we arrested, Vidrine, Kinsey, Maybourne, McKenzie. They're all arrested, the grouping we arrested are dead, and the quartet are being arrested for shipment back to Shyla. They murdered a planet, and under our agreement, I decided to show them the truth. The weapons testing, they fired on a planet, and couldn't care less, so before the duo can exact vengeance and attack."
"In killing the officers that had, via the satellite system now, the conspirators are being arrested, and deported…..., that's it. Yeah Jack's conversation with Catherine, here in case we succeed, it just got reversed. My vision is SGA ops, not MIT, the president, through said remark here, of 'the president is currently rethinking. Our position on unilateral control of the system', over ride it, Daniel!" he read out in understanding then and Hammond nodded in shocked amazement.
"Translation, he's telling us, the SGA, to take over the system and shoot KGB, before they start taking potshots at the Russians, the Russians are the Alderaanians." Lou said in understanding and he nodded. "That's what he's trying to say exactly, the weapons we created and gathered, the NID plans to turn them back on the U.N., starting with the Russians. To get the Beta gate back, but do that, they blow the planet apart." he said and they nodded in shocked disbelief.
"MIT, you mean military intelligence?" Hammond said and he nodded. "Exactly, the knowledge is Ancient knowledge, it's a defensive system, but undergoing, like the weapon I found. The vision is a vision of the future, the NID, intend to use any technology we find. As a way to strong arm the planet into submission, that's why West said we were fired here. We knew what they were planning, knew they would never get away with it, my conversation with Carter, in reverse."
"The baby is going to show me the truth, as I walk around in this vision, as I study Goa'uld technology, Teal'C's staying with Jacob for a while, Carter in that vision. Ended up back on Gascony, for the bomb she helped create the year before. And Jack, I drugged him with the serum, and fused his cells shut to Calais, the duo are being deported to Gascony and Calais. For what happened this mission and the gung ho patsy General, at the time here now..
"While Makepeace and Johnson are being shipped back to Montpellier, the SGA satellite system is inside my house, scoping out the power given to me by the Ancients. Teal'C is with Jacob on mission, Jack is facing being arrested here, for trying to kill me twice. The second time, I'm surrounded by a protective shield, as for her, she's convinced her opinion. Is the only one that matters, as I did the research now and she hates that, she hates it that you took my opinion."
"And instead of her knowledge, based on Jolinar right now, she's a schizophrenic, dad, listen to me, Teal'C was told from Pyrus he read her notebook. The date August 22, 1998, that was the day her memory of where Sha're revealed. Sha're was on Abydos, and she decided not to tell us, her reasoning, after Aramis chose her. Said is the longer the search takes, the more they're protected." he said and they nodded. "And that's cold blooded." he said and they nodded.
"I see why you confronted her in front of me, after you said you're Will, only that became far more promising, after you confronted her for going around your back. You and me, we spent nearly 2 weeks looking for them, and now I turned to you for everything, my number 1." Hammond said and he looked down, smiling. "That's code for, in our time, the XO, executive officer, I'm their's, Guinan, Q." he explained and they both nodded in understanding gently.
"He's very good, but we need his opinion, before we do anything, we know he's ready for promotion, he's just not ready to leave our sides, baby bear trapped in an adult body." Addison said and Q nodded, in affection. "That's Wesley altogether, he knows he's close to being ready, 10 trapped in a going on 18 year old body. So though mentally he's ready after 2 years, he just doesn't want to leave me and Will, his safety net is us right now." Picard said and they nodded.
"The bastards are about to use my knowledge, the whatever weapon I created, and turn it back on earth!" he snapped and Addison nodded in fury. "Maybe not be the one day increment Omac said, but still it happens, you have to stop them, baby!" Hammond said and he nodded. "I plan to, but my vision shows how, I had removed her from the project, Teal'C. He's safely hidden on Revenna, Jack, in trying to shoot me, is inside my house." he said and Q nodded gently then.
"You're destined now, to be the strongest Jedi in history Commander, that's why we all picked you, knowledge is power true, but power corrupts, absolute power. That corrupts absolutely and with great power, comes great responsibility and the power to effect great consequences. Only you have the power to stop this intelligence network, because they turn it into the moon. In shaped weapons on Martell's favorite movie series." he said and Daniel crossed his arms.
"I knew I was right, that's why they're trying to get rid of me, they're going to use the weapons to strong arm the planet into submission." he said and they nodded sternly. "I maybe a trickster at times, but to me, this knowledge in the wrong hands is dangerous. I'm a borderline god, but when I choose someone I like, to take on this power, I know I chose correctly. You're just right, you can use it, stop your red peers from committing genocide." he said and Daniel nodded.
"Commander, your idealistic nature is what I was looking for, you see violence is not the answer, what's wrong with following the mission directive. But your revenge in the trio, is exactly the type of thing Wesley would do, exactly as. You're him as a young adult, keep this up, you earned the power to the ancients, as in runs in your family. You're third generation, you're already half way there now, by the serum now." he said and he nodded smiling then and said it gently.
"Mission directive, the president's directive, followed by your directive, the one I specifically assigned you, they're not following it?" Addison asked and he nodded. "Yes Admiral that's the one exactly, and it maybe time here to pass the directive, and to Admiral Landry." he said and Addison nodded sternly. "I plan to right now, after I speak to the president, Daniel got us an amount worth 900 octillion now, in medical research, and 900 octillion more in technology."
"But the coordinates, the beta gate, that I agree with him, the directive is to find a good colony, and stay with friends, we were not trying to start with the first alien race. That we came across now, but West I'm going to kill you for this." he said and they nodded. "Agreed, you need to make friends, but Guinan, you have 25 years, before Picard walks into you. Be careful, we can not screw up the time line, so from now to 2010, you're with them." he said and she nodded.
"I know, but make that 24 years, I can't leave my friends now, they need me, before Jean Luc meets me in 2024, so I return to Earth in 2023, and my bar is created in L.A." she said and he nodded in agreement. "We have Jean Luc dropping in, in 25 years, great, if The Voyage Home is true, we had Kirk and now we have Jean Luc dropping in?" Hammond said and they nodded. "The show's true Admiral you chose people looking like them." he said and they nodded.
"So you're basically like Omac, see these guys as primitives, you don't believe in violence, you see violence as primitive, there are other ways here. Diplomacy, trade deals, you see men like me, as the future of the Earth human race, but men. Like Jack, Makepeace, Maybourne, Kinsey as utterly primitive, and that's code for what you told him. Grievously savage, childlike race, that's code for primitive, you're Omac, only advanced so far, that you're a shapeshifter."
"And one looking like John De Lancie?" Daniel asked and he nodded gently. "Exactly, and very good, you understand perfectly here, but then why not right now. As you're like Commander Riker, exact personality here, and Admiral Hammond is Picard. As for Wesley, we're trapped in season 3 here, before I made my return appearance: no powers." he said and Daniel nodded. "Q don't start with me here, we're not doing this all morning, after Jean Luc, Worf and Will now."
"Nearly ended up the middle between us." Guinan said and he nodded. "And again, you two didn't have to do this in front of me, before Will and Worf got in there." Picard said, looking between them and Geordi sighed and nodded. "Not that I blame you for that, but seeing a power struggle between you with the mortals, stuck in the middle. Said is going too far, whatever your race is, I call this he's mayhem, you're stability, bring you together now."
"You're like the hindu gods and lose it, you could destroy something." Will said, crossing his arms and she nodded, bemused. "My race is actually like the Travelers or Ancients Will, Wes was supposed to be trained as an Ancient." he said and they both nodded. "Recommendations?" Picard asked and Daniel answered that. "Disregard what the Traveler said, he's very good, that much is apparent, but what he doesn't need are his abilities, brilliance, and title now."
"Thrown at him every time he turns around, he's just a kid, in training, you make a mistake you can try again tomorrow. So the accident at the academy is he made a mistake, he learns from that and he moves on. So if we have you dropping in, after my memories return, I'm showing you what the little monster said to him. To make him come forward at the last minute, said season, well, said time is slower to you, then us, so best guess, you just landed on something."
"Said something else, in Season 6, just weeks after the accident, so you come by then, we can show you what happened, in between sessions in the inquiry." he said and he nodded. "Thank you we appreciate that, now that we have an idea what the hell happened up there. The little monster still gets expelled, Hajar, if that's the second member of the team, is permanently. Now disgraced, Sito herself, once he tells her the consequences, she decides to do her time now."
"Under me, on the ship, him back to being my golden child, touch choice, but he chose right now, and he chose us and Andrea in the end." he said and Daniel nodded. "Exactly he's 17 currently, so 4 years give or take for you, I can prevent him from just throwing away his career. If we have our souls thrown to 2364, so instead of dropping out, just weeks before graduation, I'm taking him on vacation of training, as he learns his powers further." he said and he nodded.
"Or your grandson does, we'll get him back, but he needs a break at the moment, as such is instead of whatever happened next. We're skipping Kinsey's double showing up in our present, if he's that controlling, Will's saying it for all of them." he said and Daniel nodded. "And to quote that remark, from our side of it, well, now that the ranks are dropped, General. I don't like you, either: You are arrogant and closed-minded, you need to control everything and everyone."
"You don't provide an atmosphere of trust, and you don't inspire these people to go out of their way for you, you've get everybody wound up so tight. There's no joy in anything, I don't think you're a particularly good General." he said and Will smiled, knowing if it came to that, he was saying this to whoever took Picard place on the ship later, if they had to reset the timeline twice. "You're a good Commander, but if you're not ready to be promoted, take your time then, Will."
"There's no rush, we normally hit Colonel at age 39 to 40, and General at 47 here, I'm your age, and I been a commander for two years. But though ready mentally, I'm not ready for that chair emotionally, I want more time with my mentor. Said who happens to be my father's age group, basically we're cadets inside our adult bodies. We don't want to leave our mentors, they understand that attachment and share it now." Daniel said and he smiled and nodded then.
"Indeed, I understand alright, you're 31 years old, Will, and not ready to leave me yet, I understand that, so if you want to stay, I'm not forcing you to leave. But whoever is trying to force you out, is asking for the reprimand from hell." Picard said to him then. "Issues with the job, but if us 8 have 13 years left together, let's make them count now. I'm not leaving you till it's time for us to separate now here." he said and Picard nodded in agreement to his opinion.
"I understand Will." he said and Hammond smiled at Daniel. "And was that really necessary, I get you get on each others nerves, but nearly start taking pot shots. At each other, with our grandchildren standing there watching this, you're both strong enough. To vaporize the Enterprise, if you let go completely, the show just ended, we're in post movie 3." Lou said and he nodded. "We'll show wise season 3 ourselves, Danar." she said and they all nodded gently.
"Yes, but Admiral, said learn to adapt she said to me, after I said you're facing an enemy you've never seen the likes of before, and there's 3 of them. One is the Ancient's evil counterparts, the second you have a Borg of your own, in the form. And of the worst then the Goa'uld enemy that Thor told you about right now and you're meeting them. After he recovers from another injury next year right now, the last are called the Wraith." Q said and they nodded sternly then.
"Thanks for the warning Q, we appreciate that, is there a way to deflect Morgan's evil alter ego?" Anna said and he nodded. "Yes, but it means being what you were all born to be, you're all studying Ancient, but the tablet you're yet to find, leads to a treasure trove. Find that trove, you have a snake in the grass you have to destroy, the Celtics are Morgan's. Now chosen persona, the Druids home base." he said and they nodded. "Camelot." Warren said and he nodded then.
"My diamond in the rough, they lead us to this treasure trove, we find that snake in the grass, and blow it away, so a close range shot with the gate, should be enough to destroy it." Daniel said and he smiled proudly. "Very good, there's the you I want, you're going to make one fine Captain, when I complete your training, Commander." he said and Hammond smiled proudly, knowing he gained the respect of the most powerful race in the galaxy, just like the others.
"Thank you Q, I appreciate that, and I know if you used to be a Tollan, I gained their respect, just like I gained the Nox and Ancients's. I met all of you in two years, and now Morgan's my Ancient mentor, but all of you together. Now, are leading me in the right direction, but Jack is too volatile, too loaded with arrogance and violence, to be an effective. In prodigies amongst you, you and Morgan picked me, and I'm learning naturally." he said and he nodded in affection.
