Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: With this chapter there is a point of reference to Hathor, and followed by their capture by her, that what if there was more to the events of Hathor. With these stories, it's going to explain the time between Past and Present to Jolinar's memories. Although this story is alternate reality, into what if there was more to the events after Tollan, and before Solitudes then we ever knew. And those events are why they're determined to keep Daniel from leaving in the case of the duo. Maybourne, before the events of Pretense and Foothold now, as a result then.
This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth, but there's going to be a few missions.
That are beyond recognizable, for season 4, that Daniel and Teal'C are working on, so everything season 4 that had Daniel and Jack on the opposite sides of the line. Are actually rigged by himself, Teal'C, Hammond and Landry, with the help of said planet. In human ran planets, as for Sarah, she's also been chosen to act as a plant, for Jack's chosen arrest, in later years, so NID set up, created by the SGC this book series.
If anyone is wondering in why these chapters are going up so fast, I'm doing the first 8 chapters of the first story, the other 7 are being thought up as we go. So this is going to take time, but the story is going to be good, as it matches the dialog now…

Chapter 17: Medical Arrests, Show Changes And Psychiatric Evaluations VII
"There's why I have to leave, no me here, it's only him that catches her, but is exposed, as the alien impersonating me, is trying to play dumb. So Michael, just go with that, the real me would never do that, she's willing to allow a foothold to go through. Just to protect herself, as Jacob would later tell me, no one's life is more important than the majority. For the greater good, sacrifices must be made, mine is leave and we stand a better chance." he said and they nodded.
"And there's another good reason, no you here and only the SGC/NID get hit, and with them Davis, but not the joint chiefs, and outside military here. Or the SGA, because no you it never rose all the way to the admirals, that happens they can't trust anyone in the mountain. Or in this case the ship." Landry said sternly to that and she swallowed hard. "So you're willing to risk it growing out of the base to protect yourself." he asked and she and Jack went white in fear.
"The you I know is dead, my you, my best friend, just where is my best friend when I need her most, as such here, like I'm the narrator, he had a you for himself. It was them against the world, as they added 2 more members of the gang, but seems here. Loyalty lasts till some idiot black ops, never lets go of the fact they're not indestructible. And then all loyalty gets thrown out the door, and you become everything you swore to destroy." He said and she swallowed.
"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that, you allowed these bastards to twist your mind, till now, now you become the very thing you swore to destroy." he said and then let rip at her, with the sternest bashing he ever gave anyone. "The whole concept here of gathering this technology was to protect everyone on Earth, all of Earth, not just this country. But this is like the bio weapon that McClintock was creating, even though they had the serum now."
"He was still going to nuke the town, these people are so corrupt they'll kill anyone for the perfect weapon, real or viral, and like Dustin's character. I'm doing everything I can to stop it, but looks like you finally crossed over, I can't believe you're this blind. Not to see the truth standing right in front of you, that if they don't get the president to over rule it. They're going to kill him, how can you not see that, our boss is endanger!" he shouted and she swallowed hard.
"So our boss is expendable to save your own ass!" he shouted in fury and she went white at that, realizing that's exactly what she just said then. "That's it, that is it, I have had it with you right now, you went down a road I'm not following, you crossed the point of no return. And it's because of what you done and what you're planning to do, there's nothing left of you to save. The you I know is gone, in it's place is Darth Caedus." he said and she went white in shock.
"Whoa, well you deserved that, Captain, a Sith is selfish, they only care about themselves, a Jedi are selfless, they only care about others. But you crossed over, you're one of these sadistic bastards now." Lou said and Hammond crossed his arms sternly and she started shaking. "I don't want to hear it, there is no excuse for this, you and Frasier, there is no coming back. And from this, I wasn't lying when I said I'd rather the final dose finished me off, and instead now."
"Uncle Dave gave me an alternative, one that takes me away from this hellhole right now, a chance to live life to the fullest again. You realize here this was their biggest fear, the quartet and their parents, Teal'C and dad. You realize what this means now to them, to them the choice has been made now, I'm free of you idiots. A choice where I never been more thrilled at, did you forget already here, they were scared here that I would just give up now at the time now."
"Sha're is gone, there is no reason to stay here when you three effectively stabbed me in the back, I'm free of you now and I can move on with my life here?" he asked and the cast crossed their arms, as his version, trying to hold it in, wiped the tears off their faces in relief. As Lou sat down in relief, feeling the tears of happiness pouring down his face, relieved it never happened. "Lou, Charlie, if he was alive, Annie, Jared and David, their parents, Teal'C and dad now."
"You realize what my acceptance of the job that fast means to them?" he asked and she started shaking. "Not a bluff I meant it, there is nothing here for me now, you three effectively stabbed me in the back, that's why dad is sending me away. Personal time off, became reassignment now, and a reassignment is enough the Army and Navy, in truth. Were never more thrilled I took the job, their best archeologist, staying, only I'm now on the Navy payroll now starting now."
"Look at them right now, they knew I meant it after you stabbed me in the heart 24 years ago, only now it's different, flashback to my parents. But the SGA, or the Enterprise, that team became friends, those friends became a family, so a new team. A new family, a family we created all our own, you call it brainwashing, I call it fresh start. But I just bring along some of my family and it truly is my family, the quartet, Teal'C." he said and she started shaking in fear.
As Teal'C gripped his shoulders and he leaned against him then, with a brotherly look of trust and Lou, Warren and Parker smiled then sternly. "If there was a grouping that was acting as a surrogate family now, they knew enough about this, to realize I hated it here. But it was against my will, they took me hostage in the leader of it, now, but with Uncle Dave. Who is every bit like Uncle Jake, my family, so new version, but still family, but this base, command now in truth."
"This is no team, no family, it's nothing, but a prison, but having my uncle back, my traveling quartet in cubs, him, me back together, my family now in truth. It's the same as it would be for Uncle Jake if he came along, but since different branch means different medical areas. It means Uncle Jake is dealing with you sadistic freaks, leaving me in the hands of Uncle Dave." he said and she swallowed hard at the remark then, realizing these men just corrupted him now.
And after only 30 minutes talking and he was only back together with the psychiatrist for the same 30 minutes. "Don't you dare say it, the only one corrupted here is you, upon seeing my favorite series is real, I realize the expanse of the truth. That truth is, the SGC is nothing, but a playground for NID forces, persecuting good people. Just to shove them into exile, so nothing stands in their way, of planetary domination." he said snd she started shaking in fear then.
Never thinking that's how he saw them now, as he went on. "So you're saying our boss's life is expendable, in order to save ourselves, just to save ourselves. Turn over our planetary inhabitants, just to get the pain to stop or what not, you sell out our own people. Yeah you're a traitor now, you're traitor, you're going to sell us out now?!" he said and she went white at that, realizing that's exactly what she just said, as she looked from him to Hammond and Carson.
"Is everything expendable to save our own asses here!" he shouted at her and Jack went white in fear then, realizing that's exactly what they just said then. "No, no people, our lives are expendable to save our species, we're expendable, they're not!" he said, shaking in fury, and she started shaking in fear, now realizing what she become had completely ticked him off. "Lock these guys up and throw away the god damn keys!" he snapped and Hammond nodded then.
And sternly, in shock and total disgust at what they decided then. "Bunch of traitors, your self preservation matters more to you then our entire planet. Yeah you crossed over alright, you're one of them now, you're a god damn Sithlord now." he growled and she swallowed hard, realizing what she decided to protect herself, had completely disgusted him. He never felt more loathing for her, then he did now, in the truth coming out, her and Jack, they were traitors now.
In his eyes, he, to her, had truly had been brainwashed by the brass now, and his eyes narrowed sternly. "You call I been brainwashed, I call, I'm taking my job too god damn seriously, defending against all enemies foreign and domestic. Guess where you fall into here people, because this attitude, you're a traitor, you're crazy, dangerous. And a loose cannon on deck, as Billy said, you're the empire, well we're the rebellion alliance!" he said and she swallowed hard.
"To quote Simba after she said he's not the same man she remembered, well you're right I'm not, I'm getting remarried and starting a family. I have a job I love, I'm home all the time, training my students and doing what I'm being paid to do now. But you're a traitor, but if we have to deprogram you, to knock some sense into you, so be it." he said and she paled then, now seeing what she become, he saw this after their stupidity, she been truth brainwashed.
Realizing to them, she was the one that needed deprogramming, by psychiatric ways now. "Not brainwashed, I never took my oath more seriously then I did now, you tramp." he snarled and she swallowed hard at that. "So to you, my taking my oath more then seriously is considered brainwashing to you, I'm willing to consider myself expendable. To stop Apophis, Hathor or whoever, even risk a lethal dose of radiation, to save billions, you call that brainwashing."
"Yeah you lost your mind alright, my life for billions, even trade." he said and they swallowed hard. "Bunch of cowards, 20 men run from 4!" he quoted and she swallowed hard, realizing she'd become a total coward, but it was only to save herself from further conversion. "Where is the courage to attempt the unknown, where is the courage to protect earth here. Or is it, stay away and use bombs now, do the job without facing your demons?" he asked her sternly then.
And Carson crossed his arms, knowing she became Jack, only in post stargate form at that news. "Dear god right now, tell me I didn't hear that, it's screw everything we're trained to do. And for self preservation, tell me I didn't just hear that?" Schular said sternly and the quartet started shaking in fear and the two medical teams nodded sternly in shock. "Afraid so Case', they admitted it, everything is expendable here to save themselves from further assimilation."
"Even if that means assassinating our boss, so be it." Daniel said sternly, and she swallowed hard. "Well you're showing everything that we want, so shoot to kill by bombs right now, without the people seeing your face as you're destroying them, I call that being a coward. You're all a bunch of cowards here now." Daniels said sternly and she swallowed hard then. "Based on the fact that you're refusing the serum, there's only one cure, the serum." Ford said sternly to this.
"The sarcophagus is the serum, trying to synthesize an antiserum is doomed to failure, we don't have enough knowledge to create it. So go to the next best thing, the queen and her courts." Schular said and they nodded. "Danny, if it takes a few weeks, to stabilize you, we give it 5 weeks with it being July 31, so September 15th, then go back. We need the vaccines, and whatever else they have son, we need this." Ford said to him and Daniel nodded to the orders.
"So there's my orders you heard it here from AMRID: Army, Navy and Air Force." he said and they swallowed hard. "Issues in everyone in our parents age group are calling me by my cub nickname now, to that which I don't mind, but my nickname in his voice. No I hate it now, the bastard is a sick pervert, that reminds me of Powell." he said and they nodded sternly. "Then we get you away from this little bastard." he said and Hammond nodded and she started shaking.
"Uh oh, yeah I see the look that says you been brainwashed again here on her face, she thinks they, the bosses, brainwashed you. You always had particular favor with the medical/psychiatric brass, but it's because you're XO here now. And after alerting you to the fact of why these bastards never leave you alone, in her case. She still sees it as the sarcophagus is affecting you, Daniel." Lou said gently to him then and he crossed his arms sternly and she went pale in fear.
"And there are only four people here who are the kids of medical doctors, one of us who grew up surrounded by both that and psychiatric conditioning. To recognize the signs of brainwashing, into indoctrination by a sinister cult, but thank god here. She's not the Thuggee goddess, or we got a real problem on our hands." he said and they nodded. "There's your nickname with a vengeance, if Harrison dealt with alien technology, day in and day out." he said and he nodded.
"Someone want to ease back in the movie references, I get the idea here, Hathor is Kali in every sense of the word here, if she was that bloodthirsty." Hammond said gently and they nodded then. "Yeah and though Dave is an archeologist, he's not dealing with 1/10th of the crap I have to put up with here in this job now. But after two distinct cults, I recognize the signs of indoctrination way too easily, after having just dealt with a real one, in Seth, a few weeks ago."
"After Jim and Jacob got involved here, if that grouping fanfic was true, the fighting was based on them trying to give me some sort of drug. But if this was months after I came back, with my mind rebooting itself still now, it's based on being indoctrinated. Into a family, alien style, and whoever these aliens are, they secrete this drug, making your mind compliant. To suggestion, and I'm resisting as hard as I can here now." he said and Hammond nodded in understanding.
"So an attempted brainwashing, that's the passive aggressive, the way the Aldeans were, but Hathor now, is something else, you think she pavlovved them into doing anything she says. And you been resisting so hard you're losing weight and they just barely killed you. To make you easier to manipulate and she's seeing it as the effects of the damn thing are still affecting you. But repeated use just removed the brain fog here." he said and Daniel nodded gently to him.
"Yeah that and Shyla's the forefront here, everything points back to Shyla here in her mental state here, so in her eyes. I start thinking for myself I been brainwashed, by whoever corrupted me, only not brainwashing at all, I'm thinking straight. Only my opinion got more brutal then ever, after being lied to last year and she was thinking this. And that's the full throttle, of my saying this to her, all these little tidbits from Jolinar, they're nothing new here in truth now."
"Nothing that the guys, and Drey'auc couldn't tell us about, why not come up with something more meaningful, namely here something on Sokar, or better. Sha're's latest whereabouts, during the obstacle course, it's coming up here. And on the same time frame, and as last year, which was around the time here that Pyrus told me he read her diary entry." he said and she swallowed hard and the sextet crossed their arms sternly and she went pale at that remark.
"And the fact you're this glad to see your uncle, she sees you been brainwashed, when said uncle, like Rob, is also a psychiatrist?" Hammond said sternly and he nodded and she swallowed hard then. "Dad's an only child, so adopted family, which is why they all went to same high school and college, before their respective careers. Grandma's income was enough to send mom to boarding school and she went to Saint Louis." he said and Landry nodded in understanding.
"Very well to do family, and you decided to save your familial income for when you really needed it, and lived on your payroll." Ferretti said in understanding and he nodded gently. "My parents together made a few hundred thousand a year, after 25 years, the total came $175,000,000." he sais and they nodded in shock. "The SGC military can keep our paychecks, we don't need them, we have enough built up already, mine is 2.5 million." Anna said and the joint chiefs nodded.
"I have over 5.5 million built up in the Air Force payroll here, so my total is 7.5, you have 2.5, total comes to $10,000,000, so we split down the middle. So 50/50, Annie, you're my sister, you get the 2.5, so we have $5,000,000." he said and she nodded and the Mathesons smiled. "But lousy hours, constant peril, dealing with crazy jealous soldiers, or peace and quiet. And doing what we're trained and paid to do, no contest, we're Seals now." she said and Addison nodded.
"I see, it's fine guys, well young lady, I'd say you deserved his remark, just like you deserved our opinion, in his words, no matter how brutal it maybe, it was only the truth." Ferretti said sternly and she swallowed hard in fear then. "Oh so you see it as he brainwashed me, I thought that job was the enemy, not our people here. Brainwashing, like turning you into an assassin, turning you into drones, that's brainwashing, so is a grouping like some fanfic here now."
"That's brainwashing, how about Seth and his cult, that's brainwashing right now, it takes a severe amount mental control to resist it now. But as is your physical and emotional abuse, that's brainwashing right now, but never worked. Unfortunately there isn't a way to trace where I am, since the ship, if he created the outpost into the old girl herself. Or a way to penetrate it, by using Asgard sensors, so trying to kidnap me to further the breaking, making me compliant."
"And to Hathor is not an option, you failed here Colonels, Captain, your attempted breaking is over, there is no changing me back. Still me, I stuck to my undying loyalty to Egeria, seems you caved after only a year. And to these bastards brainwashing, driving up the missions till someone cracks, that's brainwashing, this, this is therapy in every sense here." he said and the quartet started shaking, never thinking the last year was still focused on Hathor at the time.
They only wanted to prove he was everything they been saying, since Hathor, and instead, to the Air Force, Army and Navy psychiatric teams, it was they just been accused. That they were trying to break his undying fealty to the Tok'ra leader, making him compliant only to Hathor. And for her it was still the sarcophagus. "We never stopped thinking you're still her Drones, we never did, and this psychosis on him, is based here on the fact right now, not a traitor now."
"To Earth, but rather a a traitor to your undying fealty, to Hathor, you're still trying to convert him to Hathor, and he's holding tightly to Egeria." Matheson said sternly and they started shaking violently in fear, realizing that said it all, to the brass, they were still traitors to Earth. As Daniel crossed his arms. "Want to rephrase that, if you're forcing us to train, if we're M.A. experts, and hung over, as they think this is crap?" he asked and Saxon crossed his arms then.
"Crap, I'll tell you what's crap, crap's getting so drunk, you can't defend yourself, can't watch your back, that's crap." he said sternly and the trio swallowed hard. "Thank god you're not a CIA officer, or someone is asking for the reprimand from hell, for being that loaded." he said and he and Blakley nodded gently. "Clearly I trained you a little too well, but though you're a very good fighter, violence is always a last resort pal, you and my daughter, I trained you way too well."
"When you came home with Annie now during the holidays, as I took you through training, being a 19 year old, you're a skilled fencer and M.A., in Karate." he said, taking a guess and Daniel smiled and the cast chuckled, knowing they got it right then. As he was a gifted warrior of martial arts and a fencer. "What two years results in, instead of breaking me, I resisted your indoctrination techniques, and rode through it, you may not call me a soldier, but so what."
"I resisted it, you, to the very end, I stuck to my roots, I earned that second purple heart." he said smiling sternly and they started shaking violently in fear at that, realizing it. Finally, he was every bit as tough as they were and he could resist the brainwashing of an alien culture. But they couldn't now, and she swallowed hard. "I'm just as resistant to mind control techniques, even if I never had the training here, I resisted it, so heavily you never stood a chance now."
"But there's your psychosis right now, why can I resist a queen system lord and you can't, why can I resist the artificial charms, of the 17th century version of one our countries. And you can't, answer: I had rules in place to protect myself, and mythology to be my guide. I can resist, maybe different techniques, but so what right now, a civilian can resist here. If we're not drug addicts previously, and know enough about brainwashing and indoctrination techniques."
"To resist as we're freed from captivity, and the healing begins, as the said psychiatrists work in reversing the level of damage done to the body. The only thing I'm afraid of is you getting your damn hands on me again, trying to do it again." he said slowly, but clearly and they all started shaking in fear then at that declaration. "There we go, my baby just resisted the hardest test in being a skilled soldier there was, like a real soldier." Henderson said gently to that news then.
And he smiled at that, as he looked at him over his shoulder. "Yeah nothing's changed, still your baby, in all your cases, I stuck to my roots, you know I never changed a bit." he said and the sextet and Hammond nodded smiling then. "Yeah we know that, you never changed, but she had, baby, you're still you, but don't change, don't you ever change. Stay you forever now, our star pupil now." Dr. Matheson said smiling in maternal love then, and he nodded smiling at her.
As Anna hugged him from behind, and he squeezed her hand tightly smiling at her. "I got to wonder here, if all civilians can do this that easily, that they can resist this now. The breaking of an alien culture, but the tough guys, the soldiers can't now, if they're all drug addicts." Catherine said and he nodded. "Well we may not have had the training, but we had something just as good, rules in place to protect ourselves." he said and she and Mac nodded, smiling then.
"Good point there right now, but now time for the healing to begin, there's some side effects, but you're healing, so Jake, you stick around two weeks, then once out of the chamber. I'll take over, but he needs a month here, good nourishment, plenty of rest, and cutting back. In the stims, in one area and absolutely none in the other." Henderson said and Carson nodded. "Yep, there's my recovery plan, this is not brainwashing whatsoever, I rode out being indoctrinated."
"But this is therapy, but you know why he, of all people, came, he's been chosen as the outpost lead psychiatrist." he said and she went white in shock. "I think you been hanging around us far too much lately, if you know the signs immediately. You're the one thinking straight, their minds had been destroyed by Hathor and Shyla, out of fear." Carson said in response smiling gently and Daniel nodded, as the trio started laughing and nodded in agreement, as Anna smiled.
"And one very bad side effect when your guy quartet are all sons of medical doctors." he said and Anna closed her eyes as she tried to keep from laughing at that remark. "Point taken pal, two years older in one of them, but still, you're so mentally strong here now. But the book is the end all and be all of being a soldier, even if two of you are medical spec ops. The other two are archeologists, those rules exist for a reason." Carson said smiling and Daniel nodded then.
"And you know it now, Uncle Jake, get reassignment, your fears never come to pass, the me you know and remember, since Hathor to the attack, I'm back." he said and they nodded smiling and the quartet paled, remembering it, the him he'd become. Said was back with a vengeance and with it, the concern of the entire grouping was null and void. "You thought I was kidding, but 1 betrayal I could take, 2, there's nothing for me here, this was indoctrination every sense."
"Of the word now, emotional therapy I so desperately need, by a man I haven't seen in 10 years but still loved seeing him every chance I got. Only now he comes to me, did you know the last time he saw me, before the accident, that was when I was 6. Like any normal 6 year old now, had a favorite uncle, that uncle took me in when I was 14. And I spent 5 years with the same uncle, and now said uncle came to rescue me here." he said and she went white in fear then.
"That may have been said in a joking manner, but Sam's right, on every count, if the person is not thinking straight here, then best to take them to the resident psychiatrist. So they can undo the effects, before the trauma becomes irreparable." he said and Hoffman smiled, knowing that did it then, his character was being referenced here, and now the joking manner. In his movie just hit the table, with his and his counterpart's exchanges and Hammond nodded, bemused.
"You know what I'm talking about, said movie last year, Sam was Harry Addams to Dustin's Norman Goodman and Sharon's Beth Halperin. I thought you saw my collection of Crichton novels in my office, I love Crichton works, him. And Heinlein novels, that repeated references, you become a jarhead in every sense of the word now. That I'm just using Casper's training as point of reference after the equipment got recycled here." he said and she went white in fear.
"Ahh crap, yeah I forgot, they recycled it for Lost Galaxy, dad he means the latest team on the Power Rangers." Lou said and their parents nodded in understanding. "The movie came out 2 years ago and the ending results are, till they reuse it, it's been recycled for kids. And their combat teams here, only the said team wearing it are the new unit on the tv show. And these kids today all love these guys, as role models." Warren said and his father nodded gently then.
"Yeah well it looks like the normal kevler, only without the green or blue covering it, but yeah, we got the top colored in red or blue." Landry said and he nodded. "Them, gold, silver and orange, and green if Q miscounted how big the circumference. That he made the old girl now, then we're a hexagon in size here now, rather then a pentagram." Haden said and Picard nodded in agreement then. "I got the academy, Hank has the base." he said and Haden nodded gently.
"Well I got an idea of how to handle that, if Kyle's squadrons join in, they get the sixth segment, and we add their parents to it now. As they get used to their earth human names, so Earth and intergalactic mix, make it easier to adjust. Once Starfleet activates, as they're green school and we give each high school their primary color, our segment. As we're the first, so blue, the reds are the same spot on the opposite side, silver next to us, gold them and orange next to red."
"So 4 normal colors, silver and gold and as Kyle and his friends use their training against Apophis now." Daniel said and Addison started laughing. "Yeah that really is going to beat him at his own game, the students he was training to infiltrate earth, just got pointed directly at him." Landry said with chuckle and Hammond nodded. "These kids are all 15 to 18, they want a challenge, it's our job to give it to them, not coddle them." Picard said and Jack swallowed hard.
"That's 5, maybe 6 high school teams all learning different training tactics right now, mine are the only ones that effectively beats Apophis at his own game. Because I have the local expert on the rules of engagement on my side of the training grouping. So if these teams doubled in size, rather then 30, we have 60, and each team has 60 recruits. Exactly who is going to wash out of academy training, because of the obsolete training?" he said and they paled then at his remark.
"That would be the Jack O'neill worshipers right now, they wanted training by him, but his tactics Apophis knows already here, and they get shot and arrested. Apophis, Hathor, whoever it is, the renegades knows the tactics, that the attempted foothold goes through. And they win, but the other 300 cadets, know whatever they try in SGC field tactics.
