Chapter 22
Raven tested Team RRWBY to see if they were strong enough to take care of the relic. Sith troops began to overwhelm the Alliance forces before Asha Kael came on the scene and showed her power. After a long and hard-fought battle, Team RRWBY came out on top of Raven.
General Winter Schnee and General Asha Kael were moving toward the Jedi safehouse that Ruby Rose revealed to them. They had their forces going through the city checking on the damage from the night before. The White Fang did the most damage to the city, but Haven Academy was shut down for the time being. All students had to go to Beacon, Shade, or Atlas Academy. Unless they decided to leave the life of being a hunter. They found that option to be increasingly appealing to many of the students. Some did choose to go to Beacon. Others to Atlas, a few teams decided to go to Vacuo.
The Jedi safehouse was visible now. Winter could see how the house stayed hidden for so long. If she didn't know it was a Jedi safehouse she would have overlooked, it as well.
"I hope you told General Ironwood about last night." Asha said.
"I put in my reports General Kael." Winter said. Winter got to the door and knocked.
Rosa chose what she was going to wear from what Yang and Weiss got for her. She found an outfit made of the same material as Blake and Nora's outfits. She put on a white-sleeved undershirt and a black overshirt. The overshirt would have shown off some stomach, but the undershirt reached further. She could tell the overshirt was from Yang. She found pants that matched the overshirt, and one that had a lot of deep pockets. She put on her belt and made sure everything fit. Weiss had a long red hoodie for her to wear. Rosa put it on and found the black combat boots.
"That looks good." Weiss said.
"We could add some yellow." Yang said.
"There is." Weiss said. She took out a bracelet that had lightning dust on it. Rosa put it on, and hidden dust in the fabric started to glow yellow.
"Amazing." Rosa said.
"It looks like a lightning bolt on your back." Yang said. Rosa looked in the mirror and saw it. Weiss brought out a box from her room. She opened it and revealed jewelry. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings.
"I was hoping that our team would all have some jewelry. Since I am the only one who wears any." Weiss said.
"Nice. You do have style." Yang grabbed a set of silver earrings. They were long and flat, taking up some space in the ear.
"You would need to get a piercing." Weiss said.
"I'll do it." Rosa found a few pairs of Cross-shaped earrings and necklaces. She grabbed a set of both.
"Those should give you a connection to Ruby." Weiss said.
"Good. Oh, yeah, I got something I was hoping on adding." Rosa went to her Sith pants and ripped open a pocket she had sewn back together. She took out a roll of Blake's ribbon and one of Yang's old handkerchiefs. She tied the handkerchief around her leg and wrapped her arm with Blake's ribbon.
"Where did you get those?" Weiss asked concerned.
"I broke into our old room at Beacon a few weeks ago. Oh, I also took one of your necklaces Weiss." She showed her the necklace.
"You… you can keep it." Weiss said.
"Thanks." Rosa said with a smile. The most important things from Beacon were in those pants before she left.
There was a knock at the door. Rosa stood up and smiled.
"Let's go see who it is." Rosa said.
"It's probably my sister." Weiss said Rosa was first down the stairs. Qrow opened the door. Winter pinched the bridge of her nose when she saw him.
"Why you?" Winter asked.
"Are you coming in or not?" Qrow asked. Winter pushed Qrow out of the way. Asha looked confused at that. She turned to Qrow.
"I may have deserved that." Qrow said.
"You deserve much worse." Winter spun back and pointed at Qrow. Weiss was down the steps and glared at Qrow.
"How long are you going to stay mad at me?" Qrow asked.
"What did you do?" Asha asked.
"That's old news." Qrow said. He leaned in. "I'll tell you later."
Winter turned around and saw Weiss and Rosa. Rosa had changed. She was examining it, wondering if it was the right choice. She couldn't focus on that now. They needed to talk about what they were going to do next.
Oscar had Ozpin switch out with him for the meeting. He needed time to think. He knew that they all said he did a good thing in killing last night, but that didn't make it any better. Everyone told him he did what he had to do. Everyone told him that he did something good.
He knew that.
But it didn't make it feel right. It didn't make it feel good. He knew he would have to kill. He knew he would have to fight. He knew that he would have to do whatever it took to stop the enemy. If he didn't, he put everyone in danger.
So, if he knew all this, and everyone was telling him he did the right thing. Why? Why was he so mad about what he did? Why did he want to scream at everyone else? Why did he want to snap at Pyrrha when she said he didn't do anything wrong? Why did he have to feel the pain?
Why did he have to feel the pain he caused? Out of all the abilities the force could have given him, why did it give him that one? It hurt. He hurt when he felt someone else's pain. He wanted to scream out, but he kept it in. He had to. Everyone told him he did the right thing, so how could he be mad that he did it?
He saw Vanus's blood covering the floor. He saw the moment when he released all the magical power stored. He saw the blood flying. He saw bits of flesh and bones flying. Why did he have to feel the pain when Vanus herself couldn't? He had destroyed her nervous system in that second.
Oscar needed to ask Rosa how she dealt with this power. He needed to put a cap on it or something similar.
"We have the relic." Ruby said. She placed it on the table. Winter and Asha looked at it.
"We can't put it back in the vault underneath Haven. I can't close the vault." Raven said.
"So, we have to move it out of here." Winter said.
"During the battle with Raven, we accidentally damaged part of the vault. The door can't close, so we did our best to destroy the entrance to the vault." Blake said.
"But that was just destroying the elevator." Ruby said. Winter brought a finger to her lip and began to think about what they could do.
"It looks like we can take it to either Atlas or Vacuo." Winter said.
"They know we're here. We're going to have to split up." Asha said. Teams SSSN and ABRN looked at each other.
"We were already going to Vacuo." Sun said.
"We were planning on joining Shade Academy." Arslan said.
"It would put a massive target on your back. The Sith will try to stop us. We should also have a group going back to Menagerie and one to Vale." Winter said.
"To confuse the enemy." Jaune said.
"My team is ready to go to Atlas." Ruby said.
"And mine too." Jaune said. "We should head to Argus first."
"I need to return to Menagerie." Winter said.
"I will join teams RRWBY and JNPR to Atlas. We'll keep the relic with us." Ozpin said. Winter and Asha looked at Ozpin.
"That is a maiden, a relic, and you on one team." Winter said.
"Exactly. They may go after the others, but as soon as they learn that they don't have the relic, they will leave them be." Ozpin said.
"I'll go with them. We'll have a lot of firepower. It may take a while, but we can handle it." Qrow said.
"We'll have the Sith following us the entire time." Rosa said. "And Grimm."
"We've handled both before." Nora said.
"Salem's only been sending weak Sith. She's been keeping in reserve her strong Sith. We couldn't have handled Vanus and Vox if Oscar didn't use that magic on Vanus." Rosa said.
"We are going to need you to explain everything about the Sith that you learned while a member." Winter said.
"She used to be a member of the Sith?" Asha asked. She turned to Rosa.
"The keyword is used. She abandoned that title." Winter said.
"Last night." Rosa said.
"And you trust her?" Ahsa asked.
"We don't have much of a choice." Winter said.
"We do trust her." Ruby said. Asha looked at Ruby. She didn't know if she should trust her.
Darth Ira gathered his team. Darth Kaiser would lead the attack on the safe house. Rosa still had the mark on her back. Salem barely had enough of the darkness remaining to read Rosa's location, but she could. She found the safe house. Now it was Ira's time to show why he was Salem's wrath.
Ira gathered all the candidates to replace Vanus. They all had their powerbases with them too, full of weak Sith. In the battle last night, the alliance destroyed almost every location they used, except for one—Kaiser's hidden armory. The Sith gathered in Ira's domain. All the council members had their own domains of power. Each had a seat of power.
Ira was the domain of Wrath. The domain that handled executions, and missions of extermination for Salem. That was exactly what this mission was. He stood in his audience chamber. The twenty-five Sith candidates were gathered there. Ira smiled, knowing they each had their Sith waiting for their missions to start.
"Lady Salem suffered a grave injustice last night. Suffered by the hand of one of our own. Lady Umbra has betrayed our order. She has joined back with the pathetic Jedi. But she has also stolen the power of the fall maiden from us. Yes, it was her who killed Vanus. And Lady Salem wants her back. Alive. We will have what was stolen returned to us." Ira said. He could feel the anger coming from Kaiser. Ira loved it.
"Her friends on the other hand… All of them are free game. The Jedi had hidden from us for a while, but we found their secret base. All thanks to Umbra. Her final gift to the Sith. Today, we will have our revenge. Gather your forces and take them to Mistral." Ira said.
Winter stood and nodded.
"We've got ships at the docks. They'll take you out of the city. Teams SSSN and ABRN will take the one going to Vacuo. It is the closest one. Teams RRWBY and JNPR will go to Atlas. The ship will land at the train station at the Wind Path. You will get off the ship as fast as possible and get on the train. Take the relic safely to Atlas." Winter said.
"We understand our roles in this." Jaune said. Winter and Asha left the safehouse. Everyone started gathering what they were going to need for the trips. Weiss put the Holocron in a safe place and grabbed her bag. She was the last in team RRWBY to be ready to leave.
Oscar shook his head. He left his room. He had a bad feeling about something but couldn't put his finger on it. He had everything he came with, and everything he got while here. He had no idea what could be bothering him so much. He got to the living room and sat on a couch across from Ruby.
"Something wrong, Oscar?" Ruby asked. Oscar shook his head.
"I don't know why, but I just have this bad feeling." Oscar said.
"Does it have anything to do with last night?" Ruby asked.
"I don't think so." Oscar said. Everyone was in the living room now.
"Everyone got everything? We're not coming back." Qrow said. Oscar grabbed his head. He clenched his eyes.
He saw the flash of a rocket. He saw an explosion. He heard screaming. He heard the sounds of lightsabers turning on and felt fighting happening. He shot up. He took out his lightsaber.
"Watch out!" Oscar yelled. He saw Nadir turn around.
"The Sith found us!" Nadir said. Oscar brought up a force shield as a rocket slammed through the window of the living room.
Time seemed to slow as the rocket exploded. Oscar could feel the Sith troops outside. He could feel Sith outside. He could sense they were here for revenge. He noticed Ruby, the person closest to him, grabbed him and jumped. His lightsaber retracted as he flew off his feet. Nora raised her hand and began to absorb as much of the rocket as she could. Jaune began to enter to use battle meditation. Qrow was turning and gathering force energy to destroy the wall of the house. All the Sith began to open fire. Oscar could feel the blasters and guns start firing.
He slammed onto the couch and time reverted back to normal. The rocket exploded, but Nora was able to absorb most of the damage. She was flung back and slammed into a wall. Qrow brought his hands forward and sent the entire wall of the house forward. Arslan and Sun had their lightsabers activated.
Oscar got up and saw the Relic. He used the force to grab it and hook it on his belt. Rosa turned on her lightsabers. She began blocking the strikes. The Sith saw the red and green blades and started firing at her. Weiss summoned four lancer Grimm and sent them out of the house. Dust covered the area around the house.
"We've got to go now!" Oscar yelled. Everyone began to run. Nadir fired at the Sith as they ran. Sun jumped on the roof of a building and started killing the Sith troops. They all heard the sounds of lightsabers being activated and saw red blades in the dust cloud. Rosa jumped up and created a massive ball of fire. She launched it at a group of Sith troops and it slammed into them. The explosion threw them off the sides killing all of them. She dropped quickly and dropped in front of one of the Sith. She began to use force drain on him.
She felt the darkness in her stir. The Sith she was draining slowed down. She ducked under a strike and brought both her lightsabers up. She killed the Sith and continued to run. The Sith still fired at them. All the Jedi deflected the shots. Reese and Nadir were firing back at the Sith mainly. They all rushed to the docks. They got out of the safe house before the dust cleared.
"Don't slow down for anything." Qrow shouted. Sage was leading the group. He swung his sword as he turned around the corner. It was stopped by a lightsaber. There was a tall woman there in Sith robes. She was a human woman with pale white skin and orange flaming eyes. Sage widened his eyes. She brought her lightsaber up and grabbed him by the throat. Sun dropped from a roof and brought his lightsaber down. The Sith woman blocked the attack.
"I'm not one of the weak ones." She said. "I am Lady Luctus."
"Who?" Rosa asked.
"A student of Darth Memores." Luctus said. Luctus slammed Sage into the ground. She sent out a wave of force lightning. Rosa brought both her lightsabers up and began to be pushed back.
"Keep going!" Rosa shouted.
"Oh, you aren't leaving now, are you?" Another Sith, a Male leopard faunus said. "Lord Vespera. Student of Darth Ira." He took out a dual-sided lightsaber. Pyrrha rushed forward and attacked Vespera.
"They're starting to catch up! Don't let them!" Pyrrha said. Pyrrha could feel the Fourth Fleet begin to launch troop ships. They found the Sith moving in the city. Arslan rushed next to Pyrrha and began helping her. Pyrrha opened up with a strong Ataru opening. Arslan rushed in with her Shein forcing Vespera to defend.
Luctus brought her hand up, and broke Sun's force shield, sending him flying. He slammed into the ground and rolled. Neptune fired at her. She blocked the shots. She brought her foot down on Sage's back as he was trying to get up. Scarlet got behind and fired his hook. It wrapped around Luctus's wrist. She shut off her lightsaber and brought her arm forward. Scarlet flew into Neptune. Sun was back up and rushed in. He created four light clones. Two of them were immediately killed by force lightning. Luctus saw Sun in the middle. She dropped low and made a wide-sweeping attack, getting the other two clones. Sun jumped right before she launched at him. Rosa sent a massive ice spike at Luctus. She jumped. Sage got up.
"Get out of here. They're slowing us down!" Rosa shouted. Luctus launched forward and jumped at Rosa. She stepped back and brought up her red blade.
"We're going to kill you, traitor." Luctus said. She brought her knee up and slammed it into Rosa's stomach. Weiss used her Glyphs to rush in and attack Luctus. Luctus stepped back and blocked the strike. Oscar grabbed Ruby's shoulder.
"We have to go." Oscar said.
"I'm not leaving them behind." Ruby said.
"They'll be right behind us. We have to secure the ships." Oscar said.
"Go!" Rosa shouted. Ruby nodded and ran towards the docks. Rosa used her magic and sent a massive gust of wind at Luctus. She went flying back. Rosa grabbed Weiss and began flying away.
Arslan and Pyrrha had been moving the entire fight. It seemed that the Sith didn't realize yet that they had been moving the fight so they could quickly leave. Arslan blocked a strike and saw the rest of her team leave the street. The ice wall that Rosa made collapsed. Sith troops were rushing in. The Fourth fleet troop transport landed in the street, and Jedi left the transport.
"Get out of here." One of the Jedi said.
"Got it." Pyrrha said. She brought her lightsaber up, moving Vespera's lightsaber. Arslan started moving back first. Vespera brought his lightsaber around, forcing Pyrrha to block the strike.
"How many will die for the relic?" Vespera asked. Pyrrha jumped back. A Jedi took the place of Pyrrha. Another troop ship landed, and more Alliance troops exited.
Nadir was leading the group, firing at any Sith troops they found. They got to an intersection and Nadir stopped. There was Lilith. She turned and brought her hand up. Nadir rose in the air. Arslan turned the corner just in time to see Nadir being dragged onto Lilith's lightsaber.
"No!" Bolin said. He rushed in with Reese. Nadir was dropped. Arslan was behind them and jumped over team JNPR to get to Lilith. She was slammed into the ground by a Sith human male. He stood up and took out two lightsabers.
"Lord Ignis." He said. "That is who will kill you."
Nora jumped and brought out her hammer. She swung it, forcing Ignis to jump back. He raised his hands, and fire rushed from them. Nora held her hands up and absorbed the energy.
Yang came running in as well. She brought her lightsaber down at Ignis. Qrow flew at Lilith. He turned back and brought his lightsaber up to block her lightwhip. Bolin blocked her lightsaber. He glared at her. She smirked. Lilith pushed on her lightsaber, forcing Bolin back. She put it away as Qrow got out of the grip of her lightwhip. She tapped the pommel twice and her lightwhip switched. She brought her hand up and fired force lightning at Bolin. He couldn't block it. Reese tried to shoot her, but she brought her lightwhip in front of her. The shots bounced. Qrow felt one of the barbs slash across his cheek. The lines bounced. Lilith stopped using force lightning. Bolin dropped to his knees. His aura was shattered. The lightwhip ran across his throat, tearing it up.
Ignis activated his semblance. He was covered in fire. He held his hand out and launched the fire that was around him. Yang created a force shield, but the fire got passed it and slammed into her stomach.
It was hotter than a normal fire. Yang screamed as it danced across her stomach. It ignored her aura! The fire moved off of her and jumped at Rosa. She brought her hands up and created an ice shield. The fire slammed into it and sizzled.
"That's not all! We're just getting warmed up!" Ignis said. He was surrounded by more fire. It covered him, then bounced next to him. It was a fire clone. Ignis brought his hand up and slammed it down on the ground. Fire began to encircle the ground. Nora grabbed Yang and jumped up. They had to get on buildings to avoid the fire. Rosa was in the air and sent a fire blast at Ignis. He smiled as he absorbed the fire.
"Shit." Rosa said.
"That's right! Fire doesn't work on me! All thanks to my semblance. But it does work on you." Ignis said.
"Ignis you idiot!" Lilith said, hanging on a light pole. Qrow was forced to turn into a bird and got to a building. Resse was using her boots to float above the fire. Ignis smiled.
"Can you not fight a little fire? I thought you had the maiden with you." Ignis said mockingly. His hair turned a bright red.
"Really, none of you? Alright." Ignis brought his hands down and the fire came together. The ground began to shake, and cracks began to form in the ground. The fire rushed down the cracks.
"We'll just have to turn up the heat!" Ignis said. He brought his hands up and the fire had turned blue. He pointed at Reese. She opened her eyes wide. Arslan saw and raised her hand. The fire launched faster than anyone could have reacted. It launched at Reese. It slammed into her chest. She opened her eyes wide and fell to the ground.
"She won't feel a thing." Ignis said with a wicked grin.
"Stop showing off!" Lilith said.
"You are not one to talk right now. A lightwhip? That 'dominatrix' aura you have around you. This is subtle compared to that. Rosa pointed at the ground, and everything began to freeze. Ignis looked at Rosa.
"I see why they want that power." Ignis said.
"Arslan, you need to get out of here." Rosa said.
"I can't!" Arslan said. Tears were falling down her face. Rosa could feel the anger in her. She raised her hand and grabbed Arslan with the wind.
"What are you doing?" Arslan asked.
"Stopping you." Rosa said. She tossed Arslan as far as she could in the direction of the docks.
"You robbed us again of getting a whole team. Looks like we're just going to have to settle for them." Ignis said, turning his head to Sun.
"Keep moving everyone!" Rosa shouted.
"No, you don't!" Lilith shouted. She tried to grab Rosa with her whip, but Rosa sent out a force push at the last second. The whip went toward Ignis. He brought up his lightsabers and blocked the whip.
"Watch yourself!" Ignis shouted at Lilith.
"Watch them!" Lilith said. They started running. Ignis deactivated his semblance and Lilith dropped down.
"You idiot! You let them get away!" Lilith poked Ignis in the chest.
"You got distracted." Ignis said.
Luctus and Vespera got around the corner.
"We got more Jedi in the city." Luctus said. Vespera stopped and looked at Lilith and Ignis.
"What are you doing! After them!" Vespera said.
Raven had left the house before everything started going down. She should have known that Qrow's bad luck would have lingered on her. She found herself fighting a Dark Lord, Nihil. She was trying to get to the Fourth Fleet's ship. But no, she had to fight more Sith.
Nihil was a human female, around Raven's height, who stood between Raven and the ship she needed to take. Raven took out her sword and stood there.
"The name's Nihil, not that it will matter to you soon." She said. She wore a mask that covered her eyes. Nihil had a stance that almost seemed like she was bored. Nihil took out a lightsaber and turned it on. It was a black blade. Raven felt the tension in the air building. Nihil stood up straight and smiled at Raven.
"Let's see how you face the nothingness." Nihil said. She rushed forward, making a strike that belonged to none of the classical lightsaber forms. It was a terrible sword form, but she was moving every part of her body. Raven blocked the first light strike, only for her to jump and slash at her with a very strong slash. Raven jumped back and sent a blast of wind at her. Nihil jumped and spun in the air. She landed on the roof of a building and spun on the ball of her foot. She took out a large vial from her sleeve that shouldn't have been able to fit.
"Oops, don't let me drop this deadly miasma." Nihil said with a giggle. She let go of the vial. It slammed into the ground, and a green mist came out of it. The mask over her face quickly came down and covered her mouth and nose. Raven brought her hand around the broken vial and encircled it with air. She caused the air to catch fire.
"Don't!" Nihil shouted. The gas exploded. Nihil jumped and created a force bubble. Raven had to create one to ask the street was almost leveled. Raven opened her eyes wide. Sirens began going off all throughout the city.
"We are under attack once again." The announcement declared. The Third and Fourth fleets began releasing more troop carriers. Nihil landed and turned to Raven.
"I wonder if Requiem made it onto the flagship yet?" Nihil said.
"What do you mean?" Raven asked.
"I guess since you will be dead soon, it won't matter. We're going to kill Winter Schnee." Nihil said in a sing-song manner. Raven brought up a comm link quickly.
"Winter! You are going to be under attack directly from a Sith! These are the strong ones!" Raven said.
"Go ahead and ruin the surprise then!" Nihil shouted.
Winter heard what Raven said. She turned to the masters.
"Do they know we're here too?" Master Cyprus asked.
Ships were returning to the ship. Winter quickly ordered every returning ship to give their IDs. Her officers quickly began reading each of the codes.
"We're not seeing anything abnormal about the ship." One of her officers said. Winter turned around and decided to check it out herself.
"Master Fir, please take charge from here." Winter said. Master Fir shook his head. Master Cyprus walked with her.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Winter said.
The ship began to shake. Winter started running. She took out her lightsaber and turned it on. Master Cyprus was behind her, taking out her cyan lightsaber.
"We have a Grimm in the docking bay!" The announcement called out.
"We have a confirmed Sith in the docking bay! He's led Grimm into the flagship." Another announcement came over. She felt the remaining Jedi in the ship moving toward the docks.
Asha Kael began getting reports of Sith inside Winter's Flagship.
"How were we so unprepared for this?" Asha asked. Old Kael stood next to his daughter.
"We were so caught up in our victory last night. This is simple revenge. They don't care about winning. They just want to kill." Old Kael said.
Arslan shook her head. She had a hard landing. She slammed through a building. Her aura was the only thing that kept her alive. She got up quickly and dusted herself off. She jumped through the hole in the roof she made. She looked around and knew she was close to the docks.
"They're gone." Arslan said. She… she was too weak. She had to get back to her master. She could have done more to save them! She should have stopped Bolin. She should have been able to keep Reese away from the fire. She should have led the group, so Nadir didn't get killed.
She turned on her lightsaber and jumped down. There was a Sith who was where she was. She knew that this was one of the weak Sith. She didn't know if she could do this anymore. Arslan let everyone down. The Sith jumped at her. She rolled and brought her lightsaber up. She blocked an attack from the Sith. She saw the pain on Bolin's face. She dropped to one knee.
"Pathetic." She opened her eyes. Kaiser was standing on top of a roof. "Feeling sorry for yourself little Jedi?"
Arslan stepped back, breaking the lock, and brought her lightsaber up. The Sith stepped back and blocked her strike. She brought her lightsaber up and brought her fist forward. She shattered his arm.
Arslan turned back to Kaiser and held her lightsaber to him. He raised his hand and snapped the Sith's neck. Kaiser jumped, using the force to slow his descent. His boots touched the ground and made a clicking noise. Arslan brought her lightsaber close to herself in a defensive position. Kaiser took a step forward. Arslan took a step back. She felt the pressure coming from Kaiser. Arslan rushed forward, slashing at Kaiser. He blocked her attacks. He was letting her attack.
"You have darkness inside of you, Jedi. I can sense it. You mourn your allies." Kaiser said. Arslan said nothing. Kaiser flicked his hand and broke her attack sequence. He brought his hand forward, sending her through the building. She slammed into the wall. He walked toward her. She raised her hand and sent all the wood shards at him. They hit a force bubble, and not him. She got back to her feet. She jumped forward and entered a blade lock with Kaiser.
"You are completely outmatched. I should kill you." Kaiser said. He brought his lightsaber down on hers. She almost lost her lightsaber. She opened her eyes wide. He was stronger than she ever thought.
"There is no…" She was sent flying, slamming through the house, into the backyard. She coughed. Her aura was almost broken. She got up, but Kaiser raised his hand. He slammed Arslan through the wall. She let out a scream of pain, then she dangled in the air. She could see the long drop.
"You are pathetic." Kaiser said. He brought her back into the backyard. He grabbed her face.
"Let me go." Arslan said. Kaiser began using force lightning against her. She screamed more.
"Your pain radiates off of you. Maybe the others are feeling it right now. I won't kill you. That doesn't change anything." Kaiser said. He slammed her into the wall. She started raising her hands and grabbed his arm. Arslan brought her knee into Kaiser. He took the hit.
"You are no challenge. You let the death of your friends distract you." Kaiser said. She got a few more kicks and punches off. It was doing nothing to him.
"You let others become chains to you." Kaiser said. Arslan tried to grab her lightsaber, but Kaiser grabbed her arm.
"Your master failed you." Kaiser said. He brought his knee into Arslan. She got the wind knocked out of her as her aura broke. She looked up at Kaiser. He looked down on her and kicked her. Arslan fell to the ground, knocked out.
Nihil dropped to the ground and laughed.
"How will the Schnee woman survive I wonder?" Nihil said. Raven was blocking a strike from the Sith.
"She's a strong woman." Raven said. She stepped back and created a tree from the ground. It wrapped itself around Nihil and moved up. Nihil smiled at the use of the maiden magic.
"What's next?" Nihil asked.
"That's where I come in." A new Sith said.
"That's Lord Caelum. Don't mind him." Nihil said.
"Why are you introducing me?" Caelum asked.
"She's strong." Nihil said. Caelum turned to Raven. His sea-blue eyes and lightning-blond hair poked through his hood. He took it off and unclipped a button at the top of his cloak. His skin turned pale, and his eyes changed color. He took out his lightsaber. Raven rushed forward at Caelum. He blocked her first attack. He stepped back and brought his lightsaber down in a Makashi block.
Raven spun on her foot and moved out of the way of Caelum. She jumped in the air and brought her hand down. Force lightning rushed from her fingertips. Caelum blocked it.
"You know, Raven, it's a lot nicer to watch you fight than it is to fight you." Nihil said. She was still in the tree and making no attempt to leave.
"Get out of there!" Caelum shouted at Nihil.
"I can feel Salem calling me. I guess the aliens have arrived." Nihil said. She created a portal and went back to the dark land. Caelum grunted as she left.
"Leave me with the hard job." Caelum said. Raven felt the arrival of some of the Jedi. Caelum looked quickly to the sky. Raven brought her lightsaber up, taking advantage of his distraction. He realized too late he needed to focus. Raven brought her lightsaber through him. Raven was glad Nihil left. She was a challenge. She didn't think it was any of the masters.
They turned the corner and saw another Sith there. Darth Ira. He smiled seeing the group. He was standing in front of the entrance to the docks. There was a wide-open space with a few buildings around. Everyone stopped at once. The doors to the docks were just in front of them. They could all see it, but they had Ira to get through.
"Are you trying to leave?" Ira said. He took out his lightsaber and turned it on. He looked at Rosa and glared at her.
"Why did you betray us, Umbra?" Ira asked.
"Salem was doing the exact same things that Maku did! She was manipulating me and using me just like Maku did." Rosa said. Ira rushed forward and jumped. He grabbed Rosa by the throat and slammed her into the ground.
"You don't get to say her name anymore." Ira said. Ruby rushed in and slashed at Ira. He let go of Rosa and blocked the attack. Weiss was behind him. He blocked the attacks. The others were moving around, getting ready for their next attack. Ira spotted one of the non-Jedi running trying to get in his blind spot.
Scarlet raised his hook up and fired. Ira's tail came up and cut the wire. Ira jumped back and wrapped his tail around Scarlet's neck. He widened his eyes. Sun rushed in and slashed at Ira. Ira blocked the attack and brought The Queen's Servant around. It hit Sun, just hitting his aura. Sage rushed in, aiming for the tail. Ira moved Scarlet over as Sage swung. Sage couldn't stop the swing and hit Scarlet. Scarlet let out a pained gasp. Ira was still fighting Ruby and Weiss, but Blake and Yang joined in.
Neptune switched Tri-Hard to its guandao mode and went for a strike. Ira's tail moved. Neptune stopped before it hit Scarlet. He didn't know what to do. The tail was too fast for them to attack it. It almost had a mind of its own. It used Scarlet as a hostage. Neptune tried to think of a way around this.
Ira laughed as he sensed the dilemma his tail had put team SSSN into. He smiled more when Lady Mortem arrived. She was a Sith trained by Memores. She was one of the Sith scientists that he trusted to be loyal. She took out a lightsaber. Team JNPR turned around and began to fight her. She was just there to give him more time.
Scarlet brought up his pistol and aimed it at Ira. His vision was starting to go black. Ira raised his arm to block a strike from Yang. The pistol flew out of Scarlet's hand into Ira's open hand.
"I'm tired of you." Ira said. He clenched his tail and snapped Scarlet's neck.
"NO!" Sage yelled. Ira let go of Scarlet, seeing his body drop. Sage rushed in. Ira's tail blocked the strike. Ira jumped back in the air and landed behind Sage. Sage turned around and brought his sword up. Neptune jumped at Ira and slashed at him. Ira raised his hand and blocked Neptune. He fired two shots at Neptune, who flew back. He slammed into the wall. Rosa sent a blast of fire at Ira. He jumped at the last second. Rosa raised her hand, but it wasn't fast enough. The fire slammed into Neptune. He screamed as his aura began to deplete.
Sun jumped at Ira. Ira blocked with an overhead block. He brought his hand at Sun and created a ball of Sith magic. He slammed it into Sun, sending him flying back. He rolled on the ground and hit a building right next to the doors. Sun started to get up and felt the burn on his chest. Jaune blocked a strike from Mortem and stepped back. Nora and Pyrrha took over for him. Jaune rushed to Sun. He would have a scar on his chest.
"Don't let them win." Sun said. He grunted as he sat up against the building. Jaune started using his semblance to heal Sun.
Neptune brought his trident up and blocked the lightsaber. Ruby was above Ira. Ira rolled to the side. Neptune saw that the lightsaber was starting to damage his weapon. He brought his trident back and thrust it at Ira. Ira jumped on it and stood there. He raised his hand and sent a blast of force lightning at Neptune. Neptune dropped the trident and dropped to the ground. Sage swung. Ira dodged the strike and grabbed Sage's arm. Ira smiled as he did. Ira brought his lightsaber up and through Sage.
Neptune grabbed his trident, using it to stand up. Blake kicked Ira, but he grabbed her leg and threw her into the ground. Blake bounced. Yang slammed into the ground, forcing Ira back. She brought her lightsaber up in an overhead arch. Ira blocked it and jumped out of the way of Weiss's strike. Qrow appeared above Ira and kicked him. Oscar rushed in and dropped low. Ruby used his shoulder to go high. Ira brought his lightsaber up after twisting to the side. He blocked both strikes. He jumped in the air, over Neptune. Neptune finally stood up.
Ira raised his gauntlet and slashed at Neptune. Neptune staggered forward, hearing his aura break. Neptune spun around and saw Ira's weapon pointed right at him. He opened his eyes wide as he felt the slugs rip through him. Neptune stumbled back and looked down. Blood started covering his chest. He had a shocked look on his face.
"Sun… I'm sorry." Neptune began to fall, but Weiss caught him. She felt him die. She lowered her head and closed his eyes. She got back up.
Ruby couldn't handle this anymore! Too many of her friends were killed today. She had to delve deeper! She needed to enter deeper into Vaapad. She rushed Ira. She was going faster! Her strikes were stronger!
"Ruby! Not like that!" Rosa shouted. Ruby spun around in the air and brought her lightsabers down on Ira. He smiled.
"I can sense that darkness in you. Is that what is powering you now?" Ira asked. Blake rushed in and slashed at Ira. He brought his weapon down and quickly blocked the lightsaber. Blake brought her hand forward and sent a powerful force wave at Ira. Ruby jumped back and realized his darkness hadn't increased.
"That means…" Ruby said. Oscar grabbed her shoulder.
"You need to stop whatever you were doing before. I can sense the darkness rising up in you." Oscar said.
Pyrrha blocked a strike. She stretched out through the force to identify any metals around her. Sage's sword was within reach! She rolled to the side, blocking another strike. Nora and Ren were keeping her distracted. They were taking part of her focus so they wouldn't have to take her on at full strength.
Pyrrha felt Ruby's darkness bubbling to the top. She knew why it was there, but she also knew Ruby had to keep it in check. Right now, if they make any mistake, they would put themselves and everyone else at mortal risk. Jaune stopped using his semblance. Sun was able to get to his feet. Pyrrha felt Mortem's lightsaber coming back her way. She realized that Sage's sword now sat perfectly behind the Sith. She blocked the strike, being pushed back. Pyrrha raised her hand. She sent out a force push, and at the same time, she activated her semblance. She used her semblance to take control of the sword. Mortem blocked her force push.
"That was pathetic champion." Mortem said. Pyrrha still had her hand in the air. She brought her arm back. Mortem raised another force shield. The shield would only have protected the front. Which was perfect for her. Mortem looked confused then her eyes widened. She started to turn her head when the sword ripped through her chest. Mortem opened her eyes wide. Ren rushed in and swung his lightsaber in an upward arch. Mortem's head bounced on the ground.
"That's one down." Ren said. Ira was taking on all of team RRWBY, Oscar, and Qrow at the same time. He was constantly moving. He raised his hand, and Mortem's lightsaber flew to his hand. He turned it on and blocked an attack from Rosa. She was floating in the air.
Ira knew that this had to end soon. The weak Sith were coming toward them now. The fighting in the streets was starting to die down. Ira could feel Salem begin to bring back the Strong Sith. Ira only felt Kaiser and himself left. That worked for him. Kaiser was on his way to them now.
Rosa blocked the attack with both her lightsabers. Ira brought Mortem's lightsaber around and blocked an attack from Qrow. Rosa grunted. Ira began to bend back. Rosa was thrown off balance and left open. Ira's tail rushed up and cut Rosa along her side.
Rosa opened her eyes wide and fell to the ground. She had taken a full dose of Ira's poison. She knew how potent it was. She began thinking of plants that could help her. The poison was slow acting, prolonging the pain for as long as possible. She knew it could take days for her to die, but if the poison wasn't dealt with in time, her organs would begin to shut down. She also knew that there was an agent in the poison that stopped her blood from clotting.
Ruby opened her eyes wide. She felt Rosa's pain. She felt everyone's pain as they died! She reached out to where Rosa was. She felt the poison entering her blood! No, not like this! They just got Rosa back! They can't lose her forever!
"ROSA!" Ruby shouted. She felt a light enter her eyes. She felt a burning pain as everything around them got brighter. She felt Ira bring his arms up to defend himself.
"NO!" Ira shouted. He fell to the ground. The dark side vanished from the area. There could only be light here. Ruby felt a wave of exhaustion come over her. Qrow rushed in and grabbed her.
"We need to go now!" Qrow said. Ira was on the ground, clutching his eyes and arms.
"Listen to Qrow!" Oscar said. Yang dropped down and grabbed Rosa. Jaune turned to his team and made sure they made it in. Yang was first, followed by Qrow. They ran down the whole way to the ships. Blake ran up to Sun and wrapped an arm around him.
"Come on. We need to get out of here." Blake said.
"I can sense the Sith rushing toward us." Sun said. He got off Blake. "I can walk. Looks like we're last."
Blake looked over him again. She nodded. She had to trust him. She could sense the Sith coming after them as well.
Yang got to the ship and put Rosa in. The pilot was in the cockpit trying to fix something.
"We need to get out of here!" Yang shouted.
"I need more time. It looks like someone sabotaged the controls." The pilot said.
"How much time do you need?" Yang asked.
"A few minutes!" He shouted back. "I almost got it."
Winter stopped in the docking bay. There was the Sith. There were two dead Jedi by him. Winter glared up at him. They exchanged no words. Winter started running and then used the momentum to jump at him. The Sith blocked the strike.
"They call me Requiem." The Sith said. Winter touched the ground and brought her lightsaber back. She raised her hand and sent out a force push. Requiem took it. Master Cyprus jumped over Winter and rolled behind Requiem. She brought her lightsaber up and slashed at Requiem. He blocked the attack. Winter noticed his longer lightsaber. Requiem smiled as he activated the other half of his lightsaber. He brought it down in front of him at Winter. She brought her lightsaber up in an overhead arch. Cyprus blocked the back half of the blade. Requiem jumped up and landed on one of the ships. A Grimm, a giant reptile, dropped down and let out a roar. A group of clones entered the docking bay.
"Is that a varactyl?" One of the troops asked.
"How do they keep coming up with creatures from our Galaxy?" Another troop asked. Winter jumped back and brought her lightsaber in front of her. She summoned a Rancor.
"What?" Requiem said. The Rancor slashed at Requiem. Master Cyprus was right behind Requiem. Winter rushed forward and jumped. She spun in the air and landed on the back of the Grimm. It jumped up and let out a roar. Winter grabbed a tuft of feathers. She was almost thrown off, but she kept her grip. It rushed toward the clones. They fired at it. Winter blocked the blaster bolts that were coming her way.
The Varactyl jumped off the walls of the bay. Winter couldn't bring her lightsaber up to kill it. Its tail slammed into a clone, sending him flying. Winter aimed her hand down at the ground. She created a time dilation Glyph. The Varactyl stepped on it and began to slow down. Winter was also in the glyph, but she was able to move her arm more freely. She created more glyphs, then one at the end that would stop the Grimm. Winter let go and created a glyph behind her to catch her. She slammed into it and dropped to the ground. She got up a second later and saw the Grimm slam into the last Glyph she created. It stopped.
Winter created more glyphs underneath her feet and used them to speed to the Grimm. She thrust her lightsaber forward and thrust it into the head of the Grimm. It let out a cry and began to fade. Winter took in a deep breath and turned around. Cyprus and Requiem were fighting on top of an LAAT. Requiem jumped off the LAAT and landed on the head of the Rancor. He drove his lightsaber into the summon and destroyed it. He dropped to the ground and got back up. Cyprus and Winter were on either side of him. The clones aimed at him.
"Our time's up." Requiem said. He created a portal and stepped through it. Winter began to move toward the portal but stopped when it closed.
"He got away." Winter said.
"Did the knights get away?" Master Cyprus asked. Winter opened her eyes wide. She brought the comm link up.
"Are the teams out of here yet?" Winter asked.
"We haven't had any ships leave the docking bay. But we did get what seemed like an Anti-Grimm missile going off near the entrance to the Bay. But now we're getting reports of dozens of Sith moving toward the docks." Master Fir said.
"Dammit! Why are they just sitting there?" Winter asked.
"The pilots reported ship troubles." Master Fir said. They all heard an explosion.
"What was that?" Winter demanded.
"It looks like the ship that would have gone to Vacuo was rigged to explode." Master Fir said.
Qrow placed Ruby down in the ship. The others were making their way to the landing pad. They saw on the one next to theirs, the one that was meant to go to Vacuo, the ship was still there. Qrow got out of the ship, and as soon as his feet hit the ground, that ship exploded. He was thrown off his feet.
"Can this get any worse?" Qrow asked. Pyrrha stepped through, stumbling from the explosion.
"What happened?" Pyrrha asked.
"Looks like they caught wind of our plans. The Vacuo ship is gone." Qrow said. He flew underneath the dock they were on. He saw a bomb there. He found a support beam and changed back into a human.
"I found one here too." Qrow shouted. He used the force on the bomb. He noticed that the bomb was a pressure bomb. As soon as any pressure was taken away, like if the ship left, it would detonate. He went back up top and stood over where the bomb was. Jaune was there, looking back and seeing Weiss.
"Hurry up!" Jaune shouted.
"Jaune, I need you. We have a bomb right here. I'm going to cut, and as soon as I do, I need you to send a force push down on it with everything you have. It's the only way we're getting out of here." Qrow said. Jaune nodded his head. Qrow took out his lightsaber and in a flash made a circle around the bomb. Jaune and Qrow both sent massive force pushes against the cutout area. They sent the bomb halfway down the mountain before it exploded. The ground shook.
"Get on this ship! Now!" Qrow shouted.
"Blake and Sun aren't here yet." Weiss said. Yang got out of the ship.
"What?" Yang said.
"We need to buy a few more minutes. That bomb just restarted the instruments. We need to recalibrate." The pilot called out. Yang felt the Sith enter the tunnel. She ran back for Blake and Sun.
Sun gritted his teeth. The spell was strong. He was hurt, bad. Blake grabbed him again.
"We need to get you out of here." Blake said.
"I'm slowing you down. Go on without me." Sun said.
"We've lost too many people today. We're not losing anyone else." Blake said. They heard the sounds of lightsabers being turned on. Blake and Sun turned around and saw Sith everywhere. They turned on their lightsabers.
The first Sith rushed in. Blake and Sun realized these were the weaker Sith. Sun took one down and spun the body around. Another Sith rushed in and jumped up. Sun brought his hand up, then used the force to bring the Sith down. He felt the neck snap on contact with the ground. Blake ducked under a strike, and brought her lightsaber up, killing a Sith. She took her lightsaber out and spun. She avoided a lightsaber jab. She wrapped her arm around the Sith's arm and brought her knee down on it. She stepped back and brought her lightsaber up, killing the Sith. She used the force and threw the fallen Sith's lightsaber into the hoard of Sith.
Sun ducked, feeling the pain in his chest, then brought his lightsaber up, killing another Sith. Almost every strike took down a Sith. Yang arrived. She raised her hand and fire rushed out. It slammed into a Sith, and he began to burn. A Sith rushed in, but Yang dodged it and brought her lightsaber down on him.
"We need to get out of here. More are coming!" Yang said. Sun and Blake started to move back. They saw the first lights of the exit. A Sith rushed Sun. He brought his lightsaber down and blocked the strike. He grunted and pushed the Sith aside. Sun brought his lightsaber up, slashing through the Sith. The Sith vanished. The three Jedi heard the steady steps of a single opponent.
Yang raised her hand, and two lines of fire rushed out. It went down the hallway until they rushed at the single Sith. He took out his sword and absorbed the power.
"Kaiser," Blake said. A red glow was coming closer. The light hit his mask, and Kaiser stood there.
"She betrayed me for you." Kaiser said. Sun turned around. He sent a massive force push at Blake and Yang. They didn't have their shields up and were thrown back.
"Sun! What are you doing?" Blake asked. She got up and he smiled.
"You got to get out of here. Take her Yang." Sun said. He raised his hands in the air and collapsed the tunnel. It was just him and Kaiser.
"Sun!" Blake shouted. Yang grabbed hold of her.
"Listen to him! We have to leave!" Yang shouted at Blake.
"He's going to die!" Blake shouted back.
"And his death will mean nothing if we get caught!" Yang shouted. She grabbed Blake. Blake tried to struggle out of her Grip. She kept shouting. Yang finally got back to the ship. She threw Blake in.
"What's going on? Where's Sun?" Nora asked.
"He's buying us time." Yang said.
"What?" Jaune said. He got up.
"Sun chose this. He's fighting Kaiser so we can get the relic to safety." Yang said. She pointed at the relic on Oscar's waist. The pilot pressed a button. The doors to the ship closed. Blake got back up and hit the doors to the ship.
"Why?" Blake asked.
Rosa felt the poison in her now. It began to affect her breathing. She was trying to figure out how to get the poison out of her system. She raised her hand and created a bacta plant from her palm. She grimaced and dropped the plant. Using magic made it worse. She grabbed the plant and bit into it. She heard that this could help.
Jaune was next to her.
"Fight it, Rosa. We can't lose anyone else." Jaune said. He started to use force healing on her. She gritted her teeth. She may have been wrong about the poison. It was working much faster than she thought it would. Her breathing was still shallow. She looked at her teammates.
"Yang…" Rosa called out. Yang went to her and grabbed her hand.
"Rosa. I'm here." Yang said.
"Yang, don't leave me." Rosa said.
"I won't Rosa. Rosa closed her eyes. Everything hurt. She was sweating, hard. They had to get to Wind Path. They had an antidote there. They had to have one. Rosa looked at Yang. Yes, Yang was a good candidate.
Sun looked at Kaiser.
"You give your life for them?" Kaiser asked.
"Gladly." Sun said.
Kaiser rushed forward. He opened with a wide slash. Sun blocked the attack. Kaiser left himself wide open. Sun stepped forward and brought his lightsaber forward. Kaiser stepped back and blocked the strike. Sun brought his lightsaber down and stepped back. Kaiser raised his hand and sent out force lightning. Sun blocked the attack, redirecting the energy away from himself. The side of the tunnel erupted. Kaiser rushed in. Sun brought his lightsaber down and blocked the strike.
Kaiser brought his knee up and kneed Sun in his newly formed scar. Sun felt the hit and stumbled back. He was thrown back with a force push by Kaiser. Sun gritted his teeth and rolled to the side to avoid Kaiser's strike. Sun rolled back and created two clones. They rushed Kaiser. He brought his sword up and blocked the attacks. He fired, sending his sword into one of the clones. His sword spun in the air. Kaiser brought his hand up and used the force the slam it into the other clone. Sun rushed forward, jumping in the air, and slashing at Kaiser. Kaiser quickly blocked it. Sun pushed off the lightsaber and landed back on the ground. He brought his hands up in the air and brought them down. More of the tunnel began to crumble. Kaiser jumped out of the way. Sun used the force and sent the boulders flying at Kaiser. He slashed at them as they came flying.
Sun slid as the boulders came flying and kicked Kaiser's feet. Kaiser fell to the ground. He rolled as Sun brought his lightsaber down. Kaiser jumped up and sent a force push at Sun. Sun slammed into the wall. He dropped. His lightsaber dropped from his hand. Kaiser began to slowly walk over to Sun. Sun raised his head up and Kaiser stood over him. Sun brought out Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang and blocked the strike. Sun pushed Kaiser back. Kaiser put away his lightsaber and took out his sword. He blocked the strike from the staff. Kaiser brought his hand back and grabbed Blush. He brought it forward and fired at Sun. Sun blocked the strikes. Kaiser spun Blush and put it back on his belt. He rushed forward with Blush. Sun separated his weapons and turned them into Nunchaku. He blocked Kaiser's strikes. He fired a shot after blocking the strike.
Kaiser felt some of the shots make it through and hit him. He was able to block some of the strikes and gather the energy. Sun brought his weapon down, and it wrapped around Wilt. Sun opened his eyes wide. He jumped back and used the force to get his lightsaber. Kaiser slashed, sending Sun's weapon off of the sword. Sun used the force to catch them. He turned it back into a staff. He rushed forward. He was using everything that his grandfather had taught him. He blocked a strike from Kaiser and slammed his staff into his leg. Kaiser almost buckled. He sent out a force wave, sending Sun flying back into the wall. Kaiser stood up and put away Wilt. He took out his lightsaber and gathered dark energy into his hand. He clenched his hand, and the energy ran through him. Sun raised his lightsaber in time to block a strike from Kaiser. The power behind the strike sent him flying into the collapsed boulder. Sun slammed into the ground. He dropped his hunter weapon but still held onto this Lightsaber. Kaiser raised his hand and sent out a blast of force lightning. Sun started to block it, but his lightsaber flew from his hand. Kaiser hit him with the force lightning. Sun screamed and was flung back again.
Sun gritted his teeth. He was tasting blood now. He knew his aura must have been low. He thought of his team and stumbled to his feet. He used the force to grab his lightsaber. He spat on the ground and saw blood in it. He turned on his lightsaber. He held it in front of him. Kaiser stepped back and raised his lightsaber in front of him. Sun saw something change in him.
"Impressive, for a Jedi." Kaiser said. Sun took a deep breath. He knew what he was doing. It was the greatest honor for a Jedi to sacrifice themselves. He let the light enter him. He felt Kaiser gathering the darkness inside of him.
"You could have helped our people. I guess in a way you have. Because everyone hates you, our people have someone to rally against." Sun said.
"Our people were slaves. They were weak and allowed the humans to control them. No longer." Kaiser said.
"They will never follow you, Kaiser. You are no king. You are the villain everyone thinks you are." Sun said. Kaiser stepped back and forth. Every step Sun could sense the darkness gathering in him.
"They think I am a villain now, but I am the savior of our people. They may hate me now, but once I free them, and raise them to their proper place, they shall know that I was right." Kaiser said.
"You are delusional." Sun said.
"We shall see." Kaiser said. He turned to Sun. Sun and Kaiser rushed each other.
The lightsabers met, and a massive burst of energy shook the tunnel. Sun brought his lightsaber down at Kaiser's feet. He blocked the attack. Sun outstretched his arms and sent both sides of the tunnel at Kaiser. Kaiser brought his limbs together and sent a force repulse. The section of the tunnel was destroyed. Sun rushed in. Kaiser blocked the attack and pushed Sun back. Sun raised his hand, and his staff hit Kaiser in the back of the head. Kaiser stumbled forward. Sun rushed in. He punched Kaiser, brought his knee up, and then spun around, hitting Kaiser in the face with his staff. Kaiser stumbled back and grabbed Wilt. The lights dimmed. Sun brought his staff up. Adam released all the energy. Sun watched as his staff was completely destroyed. He heard the sound of liquid dripping. He felt a pain in his chest. He looked down and saw Kaiser hit him.
Sun jumped back. It hurt, a lot, but it wasn't enough to kill him. He felt the light energy enter him. It covered the wound. It stopped the bleeding. But the energy left him after that. Sun felt exhausted. He saw Kaiser rush him. Kaiser grabbed him and slammed him into the boulders. Sun slammed through one. Kaiser tossed Sun behind him. Sun rolled on the ground. He heard his aura break. Kaiser rushed in and punched Sun in the face. Sun stumbled back before getting kicked in the face as well. Sun dropped to the ground. Kaiser grabbed him by the throat and slammed him into the ground. Kaiser stood above Sun and started shocking him. Sun let out a scream. He stopped. Sun still had some energy left. He sent out a force push against Kaiser. Kaiser defended against it. Sun rolled back and tried to get up. Kaiser swung his lightsaber and cut Sun's knee. Sun fell to one knee. He dropped his hand to the ground. Sweat was dripping from his face. He was feeling every cut and bruise now. He spat again and saw more blood. Sun looked up at Kaiser, a smile on his face.
"You lost, Kaiser." Sun said. Kaiser brought his lightsaber up. Sun closed his eyes.
"There is no death. There is the force." Sun said. Kaiser stopped. His lightsaber hung there in the air. He looked down on Sun.
"No. I won't let you win like that." Kaiser said. Sun opened his eyes. He looked at Kaiser questioningly.
"What?" Sun asked.
"I will make you suffer. Soon, you will wish I killed you." Kaiser said. Sun's eyes opened wide. He tried gathering energy but Kaiser slammed the pommel of his lightsaber into Sun's head.
Kaiser stood over Sun. He grabbed Sun and his lightsaber.
"You have a force bond with Blake. She will feel what I do to you. She will make a foolish attempt to save you. Only then will I allow you to die." Kaiser opened a portal and stepped through. He was in Salem's courtroom.
"What is this?" Salem asked.
"The others got away. He chose to stay behind and die. He never specified when. This is Sun Wukong, the Jedi Knight who has been a massive thorn in our side." Kaiser said. Salem stepped over to the unconscious Sun. She bent down and touched his face.
"I see. Excellent work." Salem said.
Sun opened his eyes. He was covered in pain. He looked around the room. His arms were locked up. He was against a wall. Kaiser was in the room with him.
"Welcome to the Dark Realm, Sun Wukong." Kaiser said. Sun's eyes opened wide.
"No. Why didn't you kill me?" Sun thrashed in his chains.
"Your remaining friends will try to save you. You will be bait. You will get to see Blake Belladonna one more time before you die. You will bring her here." Kaiser said. A door opened. Sun turned his eyes and felt fear fill him. There she was. He had never seen her before, but he knew who it was. Salem, leader of the Sith. He had never known a darkness as dark as her. She smiled at him.
"I finally get to speak to the Jedi who's foiled my plans so many times. You are a survivor Sun. Let's see if we can't break you." Salem said. Kaiser opened the door and stepped in.
Author's Notes: We had a lot of light recently. So, we had to counterbalance it with dark. Teams SSSN and ABRN are now disbanded permanently. I introduced a lot of Sith this chapter. Every named Sith are strong, and on level with Kaiser. I may have called them Lord or Lady, but they are stronger than that.
Remember, one of the tags for this story is tragedy. It isn't the tragedy I originally thought it was going to be, but it has very tragic events in it.
This chapter is a long one. But because we're leaving the city of Mistral, I think that's a good thing.
