Thundermans House

Meanwhile, at the Thundermans house, Hank and Barb Thunderman drop Billy and Nora off to school and finish putting Chloe to bed for her morning nap and go downstairs to the living room trying to figure out what to do with their day. "Barb! We never finished playing Lawnmower II: Blades of Fury!" Hank yells with excitement.

"Ok! But please, don't break the tablet this time if we lose, I had to buy a new one and luckily it was on sale." Barb agrees.

The TV pops with an announcement - *Incoming transmission from Super President Kickbutt*

"Good Morning Thundermans!" Super President Kickbutt greets them.

"Super President Kickbutt, it is an honor to receive a call from you. What can we do for you?" Hank asks with admiration. "First off I want to say how impressed I am with Max and Phoebe's progress as superheroes, they've had so many saves in Hiddenville. I wish them well as they train to join the Z-force." Super President Kickbutt's expression now changes from joy to worry. "However, that's not the real reason why I called. We received a transmission 2 days ago from Metroberg Maximum Security Prison that Dark Mayhem escaped."

Hank and Barb look at each other with anxious looks on their faces. Barb looks at the screen with confusion. "How? Last time we heard, we was locked in the highest level at the Maximum Security Prison!" Super President Kickbutt answers with regret. "Two days ago, around midnight there was a power outage that released all prisoners from the anti-power chambers. Dark Mayhem was strapped to a chair with extra locking so we thought he couldn't escape even with the outage. The guards saw him walk out of his chamber with a young girl and phasing through people with no problem. She was covered with a black cloak, so we couldn't see her face. One thing is for certain, she can walk through solid objects. She may have been the person responsible for the power outage so an electrical power is possible as well. Once we get the security footage, we'll find out more. But please, do whatever you can to protect yourselves. Dark Mayhem is powerless and the first thing he would do is go after the orb. Warn Max and Phoebe too. We wouldn't be surprised if Dark Mayhem goes after them for revenge."

Hank and Barb look at each other, they're not just worried about themselves, they're worried about their children. Phoebe used Dark Mayhem's powers recently and he may go after her for not finishing his plans to fill the atmosphere with Malvexium. Max is even worse, when he was this close to fully becoming a villain, he betrayed Dark Mayhem and the Villain League last minute, took his powers and stood by his family instead.

Hank looks at the screen. "We will do what we can to protect the orb. Dark Mayhem doesn't know the orb is in our house. He thinks it's in Metroburg so that should give us time to figure something out." Barb looks at Hank and then the screen. "As for Max and Phoebe, we'll warn them, Dark Mayhem isn't going after my babies. Not on our watch."

"Great to hear it. You have the Hero League's full support, call us if you need anything. Super President Kickbutt out!" The TV goes back down and Hank and Barb sit at the table. Barb starts to cry and hugs Hank. "Hank, what are we going to do? We knew that with our kids trying to be superheroes, there was a chance they were going to get hurt but not like this." "Barb, I trust them. Both of them. Once we get the security footage and tell them what's going on, they'll figure it out. Knowing Max he can invent something to help protect the house and the orb."

Barb looks up at Hank with a small smile. Seeing him trust their villain-turned-hero son was a beautiful thing.

"MOMMY! DADDY!" Chloe Thunderman wakes up from her nap, calling out for her mom and dad. "Great. The little one's awake. We're coming sweetie." Hank says with not that much excitement as he and Barb walk upstairs.
