Chapter 11 - History That Strengthens Us
Porlyusica's hut
The elderly medic grew a tick mark on her head, "So the myth of the Filolial queen is true." she said.
Filo, the bird egg that hatched into a filolial. A rare bird similar to the chocobo, turned into a human child. So initially, they didn't believe Mirajane when she brought the girl. Until she turned into a bird and destroyed Makarov's office due to her large height and width gain during the past couple of days. So now they took her to Porlyusica's hut to understand the phenomenon better only to accept the legend of the Filolial Queen.
A myth that a filolial could turn into a human with wings on their back. Then again, this isn't the weirdest thing as many refuse to believe that dragons exist when they've fought wyverns in wyvern extermination jobs.
"And she thinks you and Erza are her mothers." Makarov said as his eyes were closed.
Mirajane laughed nervously as a response. Clearly confirming the story she had told them. Though Filo looked very curious until she saw a picture on Porlyusica's desk.
"Who's that?" Filo asked pointing at the photo.
Porlyusica raised an eyebrow before looking at the photo. Her eyes softening as she saw the image of who it was.
"My daughter." Porlyusica told the filolial child.
"I never knew you had children." Mira said as no one could blame her.
It's not like there's an army of pink haired adults with broom sticks. Using them to scream about how badly they hate humans.
"I didn't, she's practically adopted. Though I was there for when she needed treatment for Laxus." Porlyusica said as she picked up the photo. "Along with giving birth to Naruto." she added, shocking Mira.
"That's Naruto's mother?" Mira asked as she saw the photo of Mordred alongside Sieg.
"And the other man?" Filo asked.
"That's Sieg, he married Mordred but unfortunately passed away about a month or so after Mordred's pregnancy." Makarov explained as to answer any potential question Mira had.
Though Mira was confused by the photo. The man looked nothing like Siegfried. Mirajane could admit that Mordred looks like a female Siegfried, but can't understand how a wimpy looking man could create the adonis she used to bully.
"So they're my grandma and grandpa?" Filo asked with an excited smile.
"I suppose so." Makarov said as Porlyusica smiled at the question before frowning at an old memory.
Flashback, 19 years ago
Mordred looked nervous as she saw Porlyusica do all her foriegn tests, "Do you really need all this?" she asked.
"Mordred, unlike what Sieg and likely yourself went through. Birthing an infant is delicate work. I thought you would understand that having raised Laxus." Porlyusica said as she was going over some samples.
Mordred groaned, "Well your a good doctor. Can't you yank it out with a fishing like?" she asked.
"Mordred, do you even know where you have to pull out the baby?" Porlyusica asked with a glare.
Mordred already started to shake, "I know, I have to vomit the thing out right?" she asked.
Porlyusica slapped the woman's forehead, "It doesn't come out of your mouth! It comes out of your…"
Outside the hut
"WHAT!?" Mordred screamed causing all the wildlife to escape the forest.
Back inside
Sieg, who was reading a pamplet, found himself being pulled down by Mordred, "You put your crotch in there and now it's coming out the same way!?" she asked.
"Mordred, I was not aware of such a fact until right now." Sieg replied as he faced his angry wife. Only for her to calm down when he started coughing, "Sorry dear, I believe the bug or whatever my sickness is. Is being too stubborn to leave my body." he said referring to his light sickness.
"Hey, are you sure you're alright?" Mordred asked now sounding concerned.
"I'm sure more days with some medicine will clear things up." Sieg said giving Mordred a smile.
Though Mordred couldn't help but to still look worried, "You're not hiding anything are you?" she asked.
Sieg shook his head, "I may not have strong organs like you Mordred, but I am not as weak as you used to call me." he answered.
Mordred frowned, to be fair she used to believe strength would get her far in life. The reason being is that she believed that following Arthur and Morgan around would earn her something. So when Merlin convinced her to leave and forge her own path. Mordred believed that the path to happiness was through strength. Of course, there were stronger foes like Makarov yet that only encouraged her to try harder.
Even when she constantly lost after getting stronger. Always promising that she would surpass the old man and even the Wizard Saints. Hell, she even fought that knight that kidnapped Queen Jayne E. Fiore. That guy almost turned into a demon for crying out loud.
Though it was before that, when she met Sieg that Mordred realized that strength isn't everything. Even if she beat Makarov, she couldn't be guild master.
"Your not weak Sieg. You just worry me." Mordred said.
Sieg waved her off with a smile, "Well maybe you should worry about out child." he suggested.
Mordred rolled her eyes as she rubbed her stomach, "Well the little creature is pain. I keep getting irritated by every little thing, my boobs feel weird and I keep eating ramen. What's with this thing and ramen?" she asked sounding angry by the minute.
"Maybe you just need to learn it. You kept asking for more fishcakes every time you ate." Porlyusica said having noted her daughter figure's symptoms.
"Maybe fishcake sounds like a good name. It's going to be confusing for a Sieg and Siegfried." Mordred said as Sieg sweat dropped.
"I think there's already a hero with that name. The one from the newly discovered ninja nations." Sieg said mentioning the Elemental Nations.
"Oh yeah, I heard of that. The world is so much bigger, but so small if they name kids after ramen toppings. What was his name again? Nori? Menma?" Mordred asked.
Sieg shrugged as Porlyusica sighed, "Well instead of focusing on naming children after food. You should focus on the diet plan Mordred." the medic said as she gave a heavily notated document to Mordred.
"Aw man, you're so mean for an old woman." Mordred said not liking her plan.
Then Sieg coughed loudly, "And you come back for another check up! The last thing I need is you infecting your child Sieg!" Porlyusica yells. "This is why I hate humans!" she adds.
Mordred glared at her, "We're not human, you senile hag!" she yells.
"Homunculi are just imitations of humans!" Porlyusica shouts back.
"You're a human!" Mordred argued.
From there, Sieg just continued to cough away as the two women argued back and forth.
End of Flashback
"Though, some people aren't always fortunate to have parents like you Filo." Makarov said noticing the look on Porlyusica's face.
Something that made Mirajane feel very guilty.
With the alliance members
Brain's face contorted to one of surprise before chuckling, "So it's true, the infamous Azure Knight of Fiore does have the once coveted eye technique of the ninja lands." he said.
Siegfried remained silent as he caught his breath but didn't let his senses relax for even a second. Just standing there and thinking of the many ways to avoid Brain and his goons from taking Wendy for whatever purpose.
"While it's noble of you to protect the Sky Maiden. I wish to test that, what's worth more? The life of a child or the lives of a group of young adults?" Brain asked as Siegfried glared. "Dark Rondo!" He shouts as he unleashes a powerful blast of green magic.
Everyone able to move, grabbed someone and piled together as Jura prepared to defend everyone.
"Now Racer!" Brain ordered as he continued to press his attack.
"Iron Rock Wall!" Jura yelled as he created a shelter to hide everyone under.
As the speedster of the group went after Wendy. Siegfried slammed his hands down to create a shelter made of earth to cover her. Though finding some difficulty in trying to hit the man. Yet, it wasn't impossible as as the man found a giant gash in his hand.
"ARGH!" Racer yells as he trips and slides far away.
Not noticing Brain had created an arm from his magic. Siegfried chased after Wendy with Happy and Carla only to find himself being tackled by Racer. The Azure Knight had taken a couple punches to the face before catching Racer's fist and returning the assault with a stronger blow to face. One that was enhanced his strength to the point that Racer's sunglasses shattered and sent him flying away a few meters.
Though Racer was able to distract him long enough for Brain to take Wendy… and apparently Happy. He didn't understand how Happy got taken, but it happened.
"Damn it!" Siegfried curses before looking for Racer only to see him run away as fast as possible. "Should have put an explosve note on his face than use Reinforcement Magic to break his glasses." he said to himself as he saw several grids on arms.
Siegfried looked towards the group to find that everyone is still alive. A few injured and a few feeling a bit fearful. Though most of them were fine thanks to the perfume magic that Ichiya always keeps on him. However Erza was a different story. Her arm started to turn purple as she clutched it. Ichiya tried to heal her using another vial of his perfume, but had no luck.
"That snake poisoned me and we have no way treat it." Erza said as she reached for Lucy's belt.
SMACK*
Erza yipped as she pulled her hand back, "Naruto!" She yelled.
"Erza, even if you were about to die. Lucy is not going to flare her panties in front of you." Siegfried said as Lucy kept a tight grip on her belt.
"I'm not trying to be perverted! I need a tourniquet!" Erza told him with great urgence.
"Then ask for one!" Siegfried said as he pulled out a scroll with medical supplies.
He was not medic or anywhere near the skill of a doctor or nurse. Siegfried just knew enough to keep himself and others alive. Sakura Haruno would often berate him in the past for getting hurt and did so once he returned to the village. Although this ended with Siegfried hitting her upside the head and saying that it's unbecoming of a doctor to show poor manners to a patient while under her care.
Just as he was about to prepare the tourniquet. Erza threw her sword in the middle of the ground.
"I can't help being a hinderance in this mission. So I need someone to remove my arm!" Erza demanded.
Lyon had just gripped the sword handle. Eagerly awaiting to do as Erza says and he had the same belief. Only finding himself letting go when he felt a kunai prick his cheek.
"Unless you have your disability benefits card. You will not touch that sword." Siegfried said sounding dangerous.
"We can't risk losing a team member! We have to sever the arm!" Lyon argued.
"Are you serious Lyon!? We can't cut off her arm!" Gray argued back.
"Lyon is doing what's right because it's love." Sherry said siding with her crush.
"How is cutting off an arm considered love!?" Lucy asked angrily.
"It's the only way!" Lyon yelled as he tried reaching for the sword again.
"Everyone be silent!" Siegfried yells.
Everyone was silenced, even Erza who was still gripping her arm in pain. Though from the looks of it, Siegfried had already studied the arm and taken a small sample.
"There are many things wrong with severing the arm and none of them have to do with morality." Siegfried stated earning the attention of Jura and the Blue Pegasus mages. "This poison is like the opposite of a virus. Well opposite in terms of relief." He said.
"What does that mean?" Natsu asked.
"When someone overcomes a disease or virus. They won't have to worry about pain or risk of death." Hibiki spoke up. "However, the bacteria is still present so the victim can still spread the disease if not under quarantine." He explained.
"What does that have to do with the poison? It's still going to spread." Lyon said.
"It's already all over her body. The purple color is just the final stage. Cutting off the arm will slow it down, but it's still there." Siegfried continued.
"See? That only makes cutting off her arm more pointless." Gray said making Lyon growl at his kohai being right.
"Besides, if the poison wasn't as bad and I wasn't here. The only treatment Erza can get from a severed arm is Natsu cauterizing the wound and maybe using a rag to prevent the blood from leaking. At best you would need to hope too much blood doesn't spill or a bacterial infection would kill her in a few hours." Siegfried explain making Erza sigh at the futility.
"I suppose for now we should look for Wendy until we get proper treatment for Erza." Ichiya suggested.
"We'll split up into groups then." Ren added.
A few minutes later, the groups were decided as to who would go where and what to do. While selfish, they had to look for the Oracion Seis as they needed to find Brain who has Wendy. Though before anyone left, Lyon found his shoulder being grabbed by Siegfried.
"Something wrong?" Lyon asked.
"Very wrong." Lyon looked over the side of his shoulder to see the Sharingan spinning. "I do not care for you reasons. Never threaten to harm Erza or anyone else, Lyon." He said leaving the Ice Mage shaking.
It's too long of a story to explain, but one of the many things Lyon tried to do to surpass his master, Ur. Was to face the Azure Knight, for he had heard the things Siegfried had done outside of Ishgar. The rumors interested him enough to chase after Siegfried and challenge him. When Siegfried did fight him, it was the same as Jura explaining the difference between himself and Makarov in power. Thus ending with the constant comedic trend of Siegfried not once calling Lyon by his name or at least not saying his name right.
So hearing his name coming from Siegfried's lips. Instead of feeling like the earth facing the heavens. Lyon felt like an earthworm facing the devil.
Later
The groups were all split up as mentioned. However from the looks of things, it was foolish to believe that even while powerful. The Oracion Seis were not here on their own. As the Balem Alliance did work like organized crime syndicates. There were always smaller and less powerful guilds with greater numbers that functioned as their subordinates. Meaning that there were several smaller dark guilds ready to strike down each group with an ambush point.
Siegfried looked around and noticed the large number of dark mages surrounding him. He narrowed his eyes as he saw the smug look on one of their faces. Though surprisingly enough, they all appeared to be female but he didn't want to assume anything as most of them were fully clothes with masks and hoods.
"Azure Knight!" called out the leader with the smug look. "We are the Nightsisters of Dathomir! A once proud clan who had fallen many years ago! A once feared clan that even our previous leader scared the Mizukage, Yaguyra Karatachi! A tribe that even the kunoichi of Nadeshiko pale in comparison to." she exclaimed as she confirmed that they were an all female tribe.
"You are from the Elemental Nations then?" Siegfried asked.
"Yes, we left the continent for better tides. Especially when the war Great Five declared war once more." the leader said.
"I see, it was either risk another destructive war or take your chances for new tidings. Thus Ishgar became your new home." Siegfried said putting things together.
"That was the plan, until you chosen to slay our mother and many of our sisters!" the leader said accusing Siegfried.
The Azure Knight narrowed his eyes as he studied their appearances. Using his memory to the best of his ability. Siegfried did think of a familiar group that he had combatted.
"Talzen was an opportunist and a liar. With no loyalty to anyone or honor of any kind." Siegfried replied as he summoned a sword to his side.
The leader glared at her, "Except to us! Her daughters! Her family!" she yelled angrily.
Naruto closed his eyes and took a small breath, "Yes, a family of witches." He replied.
The leader sneered, "Kill him!" she ordered.
"Yes sister!" the women yelled together as they pulled out weapons ranging from arrows, kunai, shuriken, spears and even a few forming hand seals.
"Dark Style: Path of Hades!" yelled the ones forming hand seals as several pillars appeared from the ground towards Siegfried.
As the projectiles were following the jutsu. Siegfried's sword was hit and fell out of his hand. Leaving him open for the jutsu to land as several of the sisters started to wrap him around in ninja wire. The process created a form of green electricity that restrained Siegfried and supercharged his body to make him feel as if he was a piece of bacon being super heated into being burnt. The sensational amount of paying nullifying his senses and keeping him unable from moving at all.
Leaving the Azure Knight at the mercy of the Nightsisters as their weapons pierced through Siegfried's body. Watching as the blood leaked out and teared through his his flesh his flesh.
When it was over, the leader grinned before letting out a small chuckle. Which had eventually turned into full blown laughter.
"Yes sisters! Our mother has been avenged!" the woman continued to laugh. She looked back down at the stain on the ground that was once Siegfried, "Is this all you've become Azure Knight? Did the position as a King's guard dog make you weak and enjoy a soft life?" she asked.
Before any of her sisters had said anything. Each one was finding themselves being pulled away and thrown around. As the leader continued to laugh, she couldn't see that most of her sisters were being taken away. While it didn't show, many of them were also excited and feeling euphoric as their sister leader. Almost as if this happiness of obtaining vengeance had weakened their senses and dulled their reaction.
The leader only stopped laughing once she heard several explosions go off. With one blowing up the tree where she once stood. Once she jumped and tried to use her chakra control to run up a tree. The leader started to slide down, prompting her to add more chakra which became too much. Making the tree bark explode and knock her off.
"What is this? Is this genjutsu? A poison of some kind?" the leader asked.
When it was over, she saw just about all her sisters still lying on the ground. Only to reveal that many of them were either burned or covered in bladed weapons. The leader started to hyperventilate at the realization of what was happening. As she had noticed one of her hooded sisters approach her with a heavy sword over her back.
"A traitor?" the leader almost asked with confusion. Only for her to narrow her eyes and sneer, "No, a henge! But when!?" she demanded to know.
The Nightsister was then covered in smoke and revealed Siegfried who was in perfection condition, "It's an experimental technique. The walk down memory lane gave be the opportunity to try it." he explained. The leader gritted her teeth as she tried to stand and reach for her sword, "It puts the victim in a strong genjutsu. Making their emotions run rampant, filling them with hatred and euphoria once they believe their target of hatred is dead. Thus dulling your senses and skills, as if you were drunk." he said finishing his explanation.
"And you're telling this to your enemy?" the leader asked as if Siegfried was being an idiot.
"It's the only retribution I'm giving you. For killing your mother." Siegfried answered almost sounding solemn.
The leader glared at Siegfried as she pointed her sword at him while holding her gut, "So you feel guilt? If so, it's too late!" she yells as she tries to stab him in the chest.
Siegfried sidestepped and parried the blow, "No, it's retribution for my reason as to why I killed Talzen." he replied as he kept blocking each sword strike.
"I do not need to hear a reason Azure Knight! I, Ventress, will end your life so that my family may rest in peace!" Ventress yells as she picks up a second sword and dashes at him with all her speed.
Siegfried looked into the eyes of Ventress and revealed his Sharingan, "I regret my reason for kill Talzen… because vengeance motivated me." he said as his body was surrounded by green electricity.
With Wendy
Wendy whimpered Happy and herself were tossed onto the ground by Brain. Looking around, Wendy found herself laying in front offive of the Oracion Seis.
"Welcome Wendy." Brain said welcoming the scared girl.
"What are you going to do with me?" Wendy asked nervously.
"Sell you obviously!" Hoteye said as his mind was still revolving around money. Even if it wasn't part of the plan, all he wanted was money, "For everything is greater when we obtain more money!" he exclaimed.
Meanwhile in the underworld
Kakazu sneezed, "I think someone is preaching my ideals." he says sounding very pleased.
Back in the world of the living
"Ignore him." Brain said as even Hoteye was
"It's hard for all of us, except Midnight obviously." Racer said as the feminine looking boy was in deep sleep.
"Don't forget Angel, wherever she is." Cobra said as they had yet to find her.
Unaware that Angel is trapped in a wooden cage that's ready to explode and take her life should someone fail to reach her properly. It was quite possible that anyone attempting to rescue Angel would also be blown up. Unless the person going near her was somehow unaware of her presence and mind their own business, the same being said for wild animals like squirrels who lacks the same level of perception as a human being focusing on detail.
"I'm sure she's fine. She's probably doing her hair or something." Racer replied.
"Silence! Sky Maiden Wendy, I am a man of knowledge and ambition. From what I learned prior to arriving here." Brain said menacingly as Happy stood in front of Wendy as if he was ready to fight to defend the child. "Is that you Wendy, have a second source energy similar to magic. Yet capable of doing so much more. While magic grants power… chakra grants strength. At least that's how I view it from a philosophical stand point." he said.
Wendy whimpered in fear. Fearing that Brain somehow knew that much about her and her past. So while Happy threw a fist that ended with him behind tossed into a wall. Brain gestured for Racer to pull out a large container similar to that of a coffin. Ignoring Racer's comment about the thing making him slow as he had to be the one to carry it. Brain revealed the container to be holding an old adversary.
"Jellal!" Happy exclaimed with surprise.
"Who?" Wendy asked as she never seen this man before.
"It's quite and interesting story Wendy. However, I do not have time to explain trivial matters. For even with all the magic tools, Jellal here is hanging onto a thread of his life." Brain said pointing out Jellal's near death state.
Happy wanted to belch as he saw the mark around Jellal's body. No doubt a few of them were from sword strikes and none of them were Erza's. Siegfried was the only one left to fight Jellal before the Tower of Heaven had collapsed. With that giant spot in Jellal's chest and the fact that Brain stated that Jellal was likely going to die at any moment. The cat really didn't want to think about Siegfried being a killer.
"If he's so hurt. Then what could I do?" Wendy asked as her medical skills were too poor to save someone on their death bed.
Brain grinned as Cobra revealed a giant scroll, "There is a technique used by the Yamanaka clan in this scroll. If you don't know, they're a clan of shinobi who were born with the ability to enter the minds of humans and take information." he explained.
"Hey boss, not that I want to sound annoying or anything, but if it's a natural born skill. How is the brat going to use it?" Cobra asked with his snake hissing in agreement.
"There's a substitution that can help with that. Think of it as a cheap but efficient way to mimic the ability." Brain answered before turning back to Wendy again. "Because the only other people who can help with this are the Azure Knight and he would kill all of us if he got too close. Then there's the Nightsisters, but they would turn our backs on us if they saw what I am really after." he added.
It wouldn't be too long before Wendy was intimidated into doing as she was commanded. As she was forced to use her chakra to transfer the contents of Jellal's mind to Brain. Wendy thought about the origin of her new power.
Flashback, 6 years ago
Wendy was crying as she looked for her adoptive mother, the Sky Dragon Grandeeney. When she called out for Grandeeney's name, Wendy started to give up hope and believed the dragon had abandoned her. That's when Wendy came across a face, someone who looked similar to Siegfried but was still unique in appearance. Her confusion was likely derived from the fact that she was a small child when she met him.
The man was tall, obviously taller than a girl of six years of age. Blond spiky hair, black marks around his eyes and a strange orange coat with these little accessories in the shape of nine tails flowing off of the cape. Because of her grief, Wendy didn't notice the essence of power the man leaked. One potentially greater than that of a dragon.
"What's wrong little one?" the man asked.
"I-I *hiccup* I lost my mama! N-Now I-I can't find her!" Wendy answered in between sobs.
The man's red eyes with black slits stared at the child intently. Watching as the girl grabbed onto him as if he were a life saver. Almost as if he had just discovered that human beings had emotions and the capability to learn for themselves. Before he realized it, he gently placed his arms around the girl's back.
"There there little one. I'm sure she just got side tracked. I'll help you find her." the man said.
Wendy wiped her eyes and looked up at the man, "Really mister?" she asked.
"Yes child." the man answered as he offered her hand.
"Thank you mister! I'm Wendy by the way!" Wendy said sounding more hopeful.
"I'm Kurama." the man said before walking off into the forest with Wendy.
Much time later
Wendy was whimpering as she looked at the leaf on the ground, "This is hard." she whined.
"How do you think I feel Wendy? My reserves are beyond reserves you would find in a dragon." Kurama said.
Wendy pouted, "That's different! You have chakra and mama taught me magic!" she argued.
"Wendy while both powers are different. They have the same principals. Both have unlimited potential depending on what you want to strengthen." Kurama told her. "For now, lets take a break. You're probably hungry." he said.
Before Wendy said anything, her stomach betrayed her by growling. Wendy turned beet red when the sound was loud enough for Kurama's sensitive ears could hear it. Kurama chuckled as he picked up the girl in his arms.
"Let's go, you have less chakra but you have a bigger appetite." Kurama said as he prepared to feed the girl.
Later one night
Wendy couldn't remember this, but one night. She grasped onto Kurama's chest and fell asleep on top of him.
"Papa." she whispered.
Kurama's eyes widened before softening. The man proceeded to stroke the girl's back. Quietly chuckling to himself as the girl tried to move closer to him. He slowly found his tails wrapping around the girl. Slowly comforting her as well as keeping her warm. Yet as Kurama grew closer to Wendy to the point he almost wanted to call her his daughter. The man looked sad as he stared at the night sky. For a brief moment he could see the being he was within.
He turned his head at the campfire he had yet to put out. Watching as the shadow of the flames dancing around. Before it took a real shape.
The shape of a giant beast with nine tails rampaging and destroying a human settlement. Without remorse or a care for whoever and whatever lived there. Kurama's face contorted to one of sadness as he saw the shadow of the beast roar into the sky before turning back into the shape of the campfire's flames.
It annoyed him, so Kurama made a single seal to blow out the flames, "I hate camping." he muttered.
More time later
"NO! PAPA!" Wendy screamed as tears fell down her cheeks.
"Wendy, I can't raise you anymore." Kurama said.
Wendy continued to sob, "W-Why? Was I-I a b-bad girl?" she asked.
"No Wendy, you're the best girl." Kurama says as he kneels and puts his hands on Wendy's shoulders. "Except, I'm not the best father. You're better off being raised by other people. Just until your mother returns." he said.
"No! I don't want anyone else! I want you!" Wendy screamed in anguish. "Please papa! Don't leave me! I promise I'll be good! I won't complain about training anymore! I swear!" She cried and cried again.
"I know you won't, but you'll be happier here." Kurama said before looking at the local guild master. "Bye Wendy, I'll miss you." he said quickly before leaving in a shunshin.
Wendy fell to her knees, "PAPA! COME BACK PAPA! PLEASE COME BACK!" She screamed out.
Unaware of the tears that also fell down Kurama's cheeks as he left. As he was still able to hear her in the distance.
End of flashback
Wendy held back the tears as she forced to help Brain with his experiment. Still thinking about Kurama to this day. In one day hoping to find both of her foster parents.
With Siegfried
Siegfried glared at Ventress who pulled out a second sword and charged at him with both blades. Once again brandishing a Zweihander, Siegfried blocked the rapid attacks before finding himself being pushed against the ground by both of Ventress' swords.
"You are weak Azure Knight! You made the mistake of sparing me and killing my sisters! You only empowered me with my anger!" Ventress shouted as she kicked the sword. Siegfried skidded back about a meter before slamming down his sword and missing Ventress, "Now the souls of my sisters and mother will grant me strength! For they will not rest in peace until I've ended your life!" she yells as she continuous to rapidly attack Siegfried.
'I thought the same once.' Siegfried thought as he started moving faster.
Siegfried then jumped into the air as did Ventress. Before proceeded to hack and slash at her. Quickly forcing her into the defensive with the surprise speed he had despite the weight and size of his blade. Ventress sneered a she formed her dual blades into the shape of a cross. Using that to hold back the Zweihander.
"Do not test my patience! I know you've evolved from a giant sword! How dare you mock me!?" Ventress yelled angrily.
"I fight as I wish." Siegfried said before pulling back.
When Ventress prepared to strike. Siegfried quickly struck back first and hit her in the abdomen with the blunt end. Sending her crashing into a nearby tree where she rolled away before Siegfried cut down the tree in attempt to hit her.
"Dark Style: Scream of the Banshee!" Ventress yells out as a green demon appeared and let out a sonic screech.
Siegfried grunted in pain as the vibrations damaged his hearing and made his body feel more sensitive. Despite the dulling of the senses, he continued to move towards his opponent who was more than happy to keep fighting. With a wild war cry, Ventress jumped in the air in an attempt to stab Siegfried. Only having partial success as Siegfried one sword was knocked away and resulted in leaving a deep wound on the pale woman's arm. However the other sword did strike Siegfried in the neck.
Ventress went wide eyed as she was initially excited thinking she had further wounded the Azure Knight. Only to see that her weapon left no dent whatsoever. Almost as if nothing had hit the exposed part of his flesh. Ventress shook her head in an attempt to snap out of it. Only to feel the Zweihander pierce her torso and lift her into the air. Ventress violently coughed up a lot of blood as tried to pull herself away.
Siegfried shook off Ventress as if she were a mere stain. Resulting in her rolling down a small steep hill. The Nightsister proceeded to roll down while trying to clutch her gaping wound and controlling her cough. Once she stopped to a halt, Ventress attempted to use her own form of iryojutso to close the wound. Sadly, there was no time to relax and heal as Siegfried arrived and prepared to slam his sword down on her. Only to be saved by a powerful gust of wind magic that made him crash into the ground.
Ventress looked up to see a member of the lesser guilds, "I see the bald witches are having a hard time." said the former shinigami of Eisenwald.
"Be silent fool!" Ventress yelled before coughing more blood.
"You're not in a position to call anyone names." Erigor said before Siegfried appeared. "Heh, isn't that the Azure Knight? Where are you sisters? Did they run away from this guy's hype?" he asked before channeling more wind magic into his body.
"Do not face him head on you fool!" Ventress said before Siegfried threw his sword right at Erigor.
Just as the man was about to either send it flying away with more magic or dodge. Erigor stopped in place and coughed up blood as well. Looking behind him to see several weapons impale his back. Erigor gasped loudly as he tried to reach for them in attempt to pull them out. Only to collapse as he felt as if his heart had exploded before collapsing.
"He was a fool." said another Siegfried who appeared.
Ventress grunted as she tried to stand only for the second Siegfried to impale her abdomen with a kunai. Then first Siegfried then came and dug his fingers her neck before charging himself up with the green lightning from earlier.
"You are no man. What are you?" Ventress asked.
Siegfried remained silent until he raised his hand and summoned a ninjato, "Something no man wants to become." he said before decapitating the woman.
The second Siegfried fell apart with signs of magic staying behind. Meaning he was a clone that was created earlier. Leaving the true Siegfried leave the sight and look for any surviving Nightsisters and other dark mage guilds that are in the area and waiting to ambush the rest of the alliance.
Back with Wendy
Wendy collapsed from exhaustion, unable to hear Brain laugh maniacally from having taken the necessary information. Leaving the man to leave the cave with Midnight and complete the next stage of his plan. Only a few minutes later, did Natsu arrive at the cave.
"Natsu!" Happy cried out.
"Happy!" Natsu shouted before noticing Wendy's unconscious form. "What happened?" he asked.
"I don't know! That creepy guy made Wendy do something with him and Jellal's dead body!" Happy answered.
Natsu turned his head and screamed, "JELLAL'S DEAD BODY!? WHAT THE HELL!?" he asked as the corpse terrified him.
"Actually he's not dead, but he will be in a minute if what that guy said was true." Happy interjected.
"Oh… well I'm not sticking around for that! Let's go!" Natsu exclaims as he lifts Wendy and Happy over his shoulders.
A while later, with Hibiki's group
Natsu arrived to find an unconscious Erza who was having a hard time breathing. Sadly Wendy was also unconscious and couldn't treat Erza.
"WAKE UP!" Natsu screamed causing Wendy to scream back in terror as she crawled away.
Lucy immediately comforted the child, "Don't worry Wendy, Natsu won't hurt you. Right Natsu?" she asked threateningly.
"I won't hurt kid." Natsu said. "Now save Erza!" he demanded.
Wendy shook her head as she started getting a good idea of her surroundings. She moved towards Erza and looked frightened.
"I can save her, but your lucky someone already started treating her." Wendy said as she started using her Sky Dragon Slayer magic.
"Why is that?" Lucy asked only wanting to hear some more details.
"You see Lucy-san, from what I can tell. The poison spread all over the body. Except it hasn't become active. Similar to planting seeds in a garden before watering them. They can't grow without water, so the poison won't act right away." Wendy explained to the best of her ability.
"So that purple stuff won't work until the whole body is covered?" Lucy asked sounding fearful.
"The scary part is how bad the poison can effect Erza-san. I think if Natsu-san took any longer to find me. Then Erza would have lost her arm." Wendy said scaring Lucy.
"Wendy by chance, if we cut off Erza's arm." Wendy looked terrified having heard that. "Would it have done any good?" Lucy asked nervously.
"NO! It might cut down on the poison's effect but it would still be the same!" Wendy yelled as she looked at Lucy like she was a barbarian.
Natsu grinned, "I knew it! Naruto was right about that one!" he said as he really hated the idea of someone severing his surrogate sister's arm.
"Besides, depending on the treatment of the poison. The arm wouldn't be able to be stitched back. The poison works to rot and kill organs from the looks of things." Wendy said knowing Erza wouldn't be ready to fight any time soon.
Hibiki grimaced hearing that, "It's a good thing he was able to heal Erza at the time." he said referring to Siegfried.
Only just as Hibiki was about to produce a status update. He fell to his knees as he clutched his chest. From the distance, a bright light could be seen as a lot of negative energy started to radiate around everyone. Erza gasped as she sat up but almost fell back down until Wendy and Lucy caught her.
"What happened?" Erza asked before suddenly noticing her arms were shaking.
"Please rest Erza-san. The poison was just removed but you won't be able to fight for a while." Wendy said.
"I don't care, I'm needed…" Erza tried to say only to feel as if her body was made of clay.
"You need rest Erza-san, any longer and you would died." Wendy said shocking Erza.
However, the real concern shouldn't have been for any energy surge or Erza's near death experience. It should have been the even more powerful surge of dark energy.
"What is that!?" Natsu asked.
Hibiki tried to stand still as he looked at his monitor, "It's coming from your other blond friend, The Azure Knight!" he exclaimed as the malicious energy continued to spike.
With Siegfried
(Soul Calibur V OST - Pavor Nocturnus)
Siegfried gripped his shoulder as it started changing, "Why now!?" he growled out as he tried to fight it back. Something that caused the light from earlier started effecting his negative emotions resulting in his change, "Not while everyone else is here!" he yelled as he cried out in pain as Nightmare started to come to life.
Even with all his will power. The avatar of the demon sword started to attach itself to Siegfried's flesh. Eventually making the knight succumb to the demonic power as his body was covered in purple armor, a horn on the top of his head turned helmet, a large green claw for a right arm and red eyes that leaked smoke. Before the cursed blade, Soul Edge, had eventually appeared in front of him and ready to be claimed.
'Have to resist! Just another day more!' Siegfried thought before Inferno took control.
"Now it is my turn! I have been dormant long enough!" Nightmare yells as the area around him is engulfed in flames.
Once the clearing was turned to ash. Nightmare turned his attention towards the light as he could sense the most negative energy coming from that area. Along with a few magical signatures heading towards that area.
"Soul Edge hungers." Nightmare says as the eye on Soul Edge stares at him intently.
Leaving the world once again in peril as one of the strongest creatures in the world is running loose yet again. Heading towards the place with the most potential to cause destruction. Nirvana.
Omake: The Valkyries Have Arrived!
When the smoke cleared up and everyone noticed that the Oracion Seis escaped. Everyone struggled to stand as they couldn't handle how intense the attack power of the dark mages were.
"Ok, maybe we need reinforcements after all." Lyon said now doubting their numbers.
Then suddenly, thirteen shadowy figures appeared, "And that is why we're here." said the lead shadow.
"Who the heck are you guys!?" Natsu asked.
"How dare you call us guys!?" one of them asked as the dust cleared up revealing thirteen women of various shapes and sizes.
"Oh no." Siegfried muttered.
The lead woman, tall with green eyes and long black hair with white clothing did a strange pose with her hand.
"I am Brunhilde, leader of the Valkyries." the leader said.
Siegfried discreetly tried to crawl away as the valkyries were explaining how they would assist the alliance. Doing everything he could to avoid grabbing their attention. Only for a more muscular version of the Valkyries to lift him up by the back of his shirt.
"I got a runner onee-sama." said the muscular woman.
Brunhilde raised a brow, "Bring him to me, Thrud." she said.
Thrud nodded as she raised Siegfired to Brunhilde's view. Leaving everyone wondering if their stoic teammate did something to piss off the leader of the Valkyries. Especially considering how nervous Siegfried looked while Brunhilde was giving him a serious stare.
"Siegfried, you were trying to hide from me weren't you?" she asked with a twitching eye. Before Siegfried answered, Brunhilde crushed him in a hug, "Don't be so shy! Your Valkyrie Queen is here now!" she said before shoving his face into her ample bosom.
What no one knew is that this was the real Brunhilde of legend. Her and her sisters reincarnated into the modern world to seek out Siegfried after having sensed his soul in the human world. In actuality, that was him transferring his power to Sieg and later modern Siegfried after reincarnating from Naruto Uzumaki. Now Brunhilde believes Siegfried Naruto is the reincarnation of her lover and not someone who obtained his power.
"I'm not the real Siegfried! I'm the reincarnation of Naruto Uzumaki and the current transmigrant of Ashura and Indra Otsutsuki!" Siegfried yelled out.
Brunhilde laughed, "Such silly stories my love. We can keep making more when we have children!" she exclaimed as she started rubbing her cheek against his.
Even Hrist started to get teary eyed, "Such a beautiful reunion. I always cry seeing these things and you know why?" she asked.
Goll felt nervous but asked anyways, "Why?" she asked.
Hrist then gave Goll a murderous gaze, "Because of how stupid it is! Knock it off you two! You're in public!" Hrist screamed angrily.
"Someone get her off of me! I have a Black Licorice pie in my back pocket!" Siegfried yelled as Brunhilde refused to let go.
Sadly, Natsu got to the pie first and ate it, "Gross!" he whined.
"NATSU!" Siegfried yelled angrily.

"CUT!"
Suddenly several production assistants proceeded to help Nightmare stand up, "What the hell is that?" someone said from inside the costume.
Everyone looked around to see Ichiya had accidentally cut a string connecting the lights, "That was not my fault." he said looking nervous.
Meanwhile the director sighed, "Crap, now we have to cut this early." he said.
"Really?" asked one of the producers.
"Yes, now hurry and have this edited and uploaded! We're too far behind schedule and our executives are running out patience!" the director said before getting off of his chair and leaving for the day.
"I guess we're pushing back RWBY again for another week." said another producer.
"Could be worse." another producer said.
Suddenly Ruby Rose came running in wearing Evil Eye's mask, "Hey guys are we ready to start filming again?" she asked.
The first producer sighed, "Ruby, the lead executive isn't going to like what you are about to hear." he said watching Ruby frown.
"The same thing with Slime and DxD?" Ruby asked. The producer nodded, "Ok, I'll be back tomorrow." she said.
And thus, another hectic day at R0tatcid studios began followed by lots of poor scheduling and stories being uploaded behind schedule.
