Chapter 3

While on Bioship.

"Robin what took you so long? What were you doing?"

"Nothing KF."responded Robin.

"Nightwing, are you alright?"thought Miss M as she sensed strong negative emotions being emitted from Nightwing.

"I'm fine."

"You don't look fine."broke in Connor.

"Is someone not feeling well?"inquired Aquaman

"Dick's not feeling well. He looks like he's been through hell."responded KF

As everyone on the mind-link talked over each other, Nightwing just started to get overwhelmed and started to get a strong headache.

"Will everyone just shut the hell up!! I'm fine!"shouted Nightwing standing up and clutching his head.

"Are you sure about that?"inquired KF, "cause you just said that out loud."

"What is going on? Nightwing, you told me that you had everything under control."asked Batman giving off a Bat glare.

"Wait, Nightwing told you that he was fine!!"broke in Robin letting out a laugh, "Obviously he was lying. He hadn't taken a break in.."

"Shut up, Drake!!"hissed Nightwing.

"Nightwing sit down. Everyone tell me what has been going on with Nightwing since the team has got back together."

"Well, I first started noticing Nightwing being moodier than usual little while after the team was reunited. When he walked in he looked like he was just been in a fight. Man, he looked terrible. Then the next week, he looked like he hasn't slept at all. Which I don't understand. How can anyone not sleep on those king sized beds? I was finally able to persuade Artemis to get one, before the wedding, which we still need to plan." Wally then caught a glimpse of the Dark Knight glaring at him, "When I confronted him, all he told me was that he was fine. He also never took a break. The team has been going on for about a year now, and the entire time, Nightwing never took a break. He just buried himself in work."

"Wally does have a point about Nightwing not taking any breaks. Each week I kept sensing Nightwing's emotions getting stronger and stronger." M'gann began, but then stopped after seeing Nightwing giving her the most intimidating Bat glare she had ever saw.

"Nightwing, why are you pushing yourself? Your lucky I don't Alfred."

"Look Batman, we could always talk about what I do in my spare time, or we could focus on the mission."responded Dick.

"And what is the mission? You never told me what we're doing."broke in Robin.

Regaining his composure, Nightwing started to explain,"Before the team got back together, the original members and I had to face off some of the villains that we locked up. I was eventually kidnapped."

"While Nightwing was kidnapped, the villains were able to control him with the same control chips that were used on the JLA four years before."interjected Miss M.

"After we found him, we were able to meet Red Hood, who was able to help us free Nightwing."continued Aquaman, but was immediately interrupted by KF.

"After Nightwing's recovery, we started to look into this Batman wannabe."

"We were eventually able to find out that this Red Hood was wanted by twenty countries. He had killed over a dozen political figures, and killed hundreds of innocents in order to complete his mission. It wasn't until Batman got involved that we were able to find out that he worked for the League of Shadow's leader Ra's al Ghul. Ever since Batman got involved, we have been able to pin point a location where he might be."finished Nightwing.

"So this mission is to apprehend him, and turn him over to the government."concluded Robin.

"Yes, but before we turn him over, I would like to have a few words with him."making his point clear, Batman and the rest of the team remained silent as the flight went on.

As day turned into night, Miss M announced that they are at their destination.

"Alright here's the plan, Robin, Batman, and I will go in first. The rest of you will stay aboard Bioship. Once we know that Red Hood is here, we'll send for you. You will then join us on the roof for the attack. Until then, stay out of sight. We can't have this mission jeopardized, again." Nightwing, Robin, and Batman silently made their way over to the warehouse and was able to see Red Hood. "Team, we're ready." The Bat family then snuck in and killed the lights.
