Chapter 4

"Alright, we all know the plan. Get in, search the sheds for the weapons, and get out. Remember stay out of sight. Let's head out."commanded Artemis.

Using the zeta tubes, Artemis and the rest of the team arrived at Gotham Harbor. "Impulse you're with Beetle, Beast Boy you're with Wonder Girl, and Lagoon Boy you're with me. There are five sheds, those who are finished with the first three will move on to the other ones. If anyone finds any suspicious activity or the Joker Gas, Venom, and drugs, they will alert me. I can't say it enough, stay out of sight." Everyone immediately dispersed, "Bet you, Beetle and I will find the right shed before you do, slowpokes."muttered Impulse ove the comm link.

"Oh, you're so on. But how about we make a bet, just to make things interesting."replied Beast Boy.

"That sounds like fun."exclaimed Wonder Girl.

"What are the terms?"asked Blue Beetle.

"Nothing much, only the losing team has to take the entire team on a round trip to Dave and Busters with unlimited game play. Do the others chores. And do extra training."smiled Beast Boy.

"Deal"

"Yo, Beast Boy, Wonder Girl, better start counting your money, cause Blue and I will win."

"We'll see about that."countered Wonder Girl.

"You kids better start looking for the weapons, otherwise Lagoon Boy and I will win that bet. We already looked through two of the sheds while you were talking."interrupted Artemis who was never against a little friendly competition. Immediately Beast Boy, Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, and Impulse started to look through the sheds. Neither of them wanted to pay for the entire team to go to Dave and Busters.

"Looks like we're at the last shed. Guess that means that we won't have to pay anything. Am I right Blue?"chuckled Impulse who was thinking about how many prizes he could win.

"Don't be to sure. I think that you will still have to pay." Looking up, the boys could see Wonder Girl and Beast Boy on the roof of the building.

"Doubt it." Before you knew it, Blue Beetle and Impulse was quickly making their way over to the shed.

"Come on Beast Boy. I do not want to blow my savings." Morphing into a bird, Beast Boy and Wonder Girl flew into the shed. Upon entry, they saw that the room was barren, and Artemis looking around. "The bet's off. We searched through all the sheds, and the weapons aren't here. That only means that the shipment was already shipped out, or they have another place where they've stored it." Suddenly out of nowhere a bunch of men jumped out of the shadows with guns aiming at the team.

"If only Robin was here. Bet you that he would have sensed that someone was here. But no, instead Nightwing decided to put a human in charge."muttered Lagoon Boy.

"You know what, I've had about enough of you Lagoon Boy. Nightwing always told me that you would be great, and that you would be a great warrior. But honestly, I don't know what Nightwing sees in you. You let your ego get in front of your better judgement. You just don't know how many time, Nightwing stood up for you, how many times, no matter how much he's hurting, he did stayed with you, how many times he restrained himself from bursting out at you. And yet you have the gall to tell me and everyone else that Nightwing's a bad leader. You have no shame of telling that to his face. Now you shut up, and I don't want to hear anything out of you until we get back."

"Artemis, what are we going to do?"whispered Beast Boy.

"We can't deal with this now. We need to find out where that shipment is. Blue Beetle make a distraction."

After Blue Beetle's distraction, the team made a bolt right to the door. Once they were out, Artemis and the team started to look for clues as to where the shipment could be. "There they are!!" Looking back, Artemis saw that a group of gangsters were coming towards them. "Looks like they were coming from the south, that must be where the shipment is."

"We need to get past them. Let's go."yelled Artemis. With not much effort, the team was able to get past the gangsters. As the team got closer, they were able to see men loading crates onto the boat. "That's the barge with the weapons. Impulse run ahead and search the ship."

"But I thought we're supposed to stay out of sight."

"It doesn't matter anymore. They already know that we're here, so just search the ship for the weapons, and if you can try to find out who's the buyer. The rest of us will keep them busy. We'll meet up at the zeta tube platform. Go!!"

Jumping out of their hiding spot, Impulse ran as fast as can towards the ship. Following after him, the team started to fight the men that was loading the shipment. To their dismay, most of the gangsters were metas "Oh crap!!"shouted one of the men. Shooting a arrow, Artemis shouted, "Keep the fight away from the crates. Those crates are the only thing that is keeping the Joker Gas from infecting the entire city of Gotham."

During the fight, Artemis heard Impulse's voice on the comm link, "This is Impulse, I found out who the buyer is. I think his name is Ra's al Ghul. Do you want me to keep searching?"

"No, meet us at the rendzvous point, but be careful, there are metas out here."responded Artemis just before dodging a sheet of metal that was cast by one of the metas.

"You really shouldn't have done..., Lagoon Boy, NO!!" Completely disregarding Artemis's orders, Lagoon Boy grabbed one of the crates and slammed it down onto of one of metas. Upon breaking the crate, the broken crate started to emit green gas.

"Damn it!!! Impulse, Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, get these people out now. I don't care if they're bad, Joker gas has just been released. La'gann get you butt over here now!!! And don't you even think that I won't be telling Nightwing. Beast Boy your with me." After getting the civilians out of the vicinity the others made their way over towards Artemis and Beast Boy. "We're going to have to light it up."revealed Artemis.

"But won't that destroy Gotham Harbor?"questioned Impulse.

"If we don't destroy the gas now, Gotham could be overrun by it by the time we think of another plan. And I don't know about you, but I, for one, don't want to tell Batman that his city is infected by Joker Gas." Agreeing, the rest of the team started to look for anyone else that may be there. After getting the verification, Artemis shot a flaming arrow towards the mass of gas. "Run!!" The entire harbor was soon engulfed by flames. Making their way back to the rendezvous point, Artemis and the team looked terrible, they had soot all over their faces and a few had a few burns on their arms. As they went through the zeta tube, they were teleported to the cave. As they got there, they saw that Nightwing and the others were already there. "What happened?"asked Batman in a dark tone.

"Ask La'gann." Answered Artemis. La'gann was immediately met by numerous glares.
