Chapter 7

"Impulse failed"

"Sloppy," Black Canary then helped Impulse up off the training pad, "Does anyone want to tell me why he failed?"

Raising her hand, Wonder Girl started to answer, "It's because he assumed that you wouldn't see him. Clearly he was underestimating his opponent."

"Gee, thanks. It wasn't like I wasn't feeling embarrassed enough."muttered Impulse while rubbing his back.

"Don't worry kid. Dinah always knocks me on the ground, you'll get used to it."giving Impulse a reassuring smile, Green Arrow made his way over to Dinah.

"Alright, now you'll be sparring with each other. Beast Boy you're with Blue Beetle. Wonder Girl you're with me. And Impulse you're with Green Arrow."

"I can't believe that I'll be fighting against Black Canary!!"squealed Wonder Girl

"Can't you calm down, sheesh. And besides, I thought that you were more of a Wonder Woman fan."muttered Blue Beetle

"Oh shut up. Your just jealous that I get to spar Black Canary, while you have to spar against Beast Boy."

"Am not,"

"Are too"

Interrupting their arguement, Blue Beetle and Wonder Girl heard Superman's voice over Black Canary's communicator. "Black Canary, Green Arrow, please meet us the Daily Planet, something bad has happened to Batman, Nightwing, and the others." "On it, Oliver we need to go."

"Wait what's going on? Why do you have to leave? And if you do can we come?"asked Beast Boy

"Sorry kid, but we can't let you come. Do you know what Nightwing would do to me, if you got hurt under my watch? Besides, Dinah and I will just be back soon. So just stay here and don't get in trouble, and we'll be back in a few hours."replied Green Arrow, who was heading towards the Zeta Tubes. As soon as Black Canary and Green Arrow left; Garfield, Bart, Jaime, and Cassie started to play with the controls on the Zeta Tubes.

"What the hell are you doing." Looking back, they saw La'gann was walking towards them.

"We're trying to get to Metropolis. Why are you here? I thought that Nightwing benched you?"inquired Bart.

"Nightwing did bench me, but he said that once I know how to work on a team, then I could do things with you again."

"Crash, then you could help us get this tube start working."replied Jaime.

It took a while to get the tubes to work, but eventually they were able to get it working.

"Alright, the tubes are up and running. All we have to do is go through, and we'll be transported to Metropolis." Blue Beetle then turned around to see Cassie loooking a little hesistant.

"Should we really do this Gar? I mean Black Canary and Green Arrow did tell us to stay put." Cassie asked

"Look if you want you can stay, but Blue, Impulse, La'gann, and I are going. Besides, don't you think that we have the right to be there, since it's our leader and team that has gone missing."remarked Beast Boy, giving off a grin.

"Oh fine. But if we get is trouble, it's your fault."

Agreeing, Beast Boy and the rest of the team went through the Zeta Tubes, and arrived inside what seems to be a old newspaper shack. "What the hell is this? And how come. It smells like it hasn't been used since the 1930's?"asked Lagoon Boy.

"Maybe because it hasn't been used since the 1930's."retorted Impulse.

"Could someone please get off my tail!! And could someone try find the door. This shack isn't made for four people."grumbled Beast Boy

As Cassie opened the door, the team fell right out. Looking up, they could see that they were in front of the Daily Planet, which was surrounded by members of the Jutice League. As the team flew into the building, they saw that the entire half of the building was burned to a crisp. The team started to look around until they heard a very familiar, and somewhat angry voice.

"What the hell are you doing here? I told you kids to stay at the Mountain!"

Turning around, the team saw a very ticked off Black Canary. "Look, I know you said that we need to stay, but we have every right to be here. It is our leader and team that's went missing."defended Impulse

"Just to be clear, I was just a innocent bystander. These boys dragged me into this."

"Wait a minute, you were involved just a much as any of us! So you can't say that you had no part."

"Can it Blue Beetle, or you and I will have a problem."threatened Wonder Girl. Before a argument could form, Lagoon Boy broke in.

"Look, BC, we could either dicuss why we're here, or we could look through this crap pile, and see if we could find any clues."

"Fine."
