Chapter 13
"Holy sh.."
"You know better, there are children on the premises," smirked Jason
"Language!!"reprimanded Wonder Girl, "Just because you hear Nightwing and the others say it, that doesn't mean that you could say it too. And if I hear any of you say those words, I will personally wash your mouths out with soap,"
"HOW the hell are you alive? Nightwing told us that you were in a warehouse that exploded. Batman said that you were dead. So what the hell is going on here?"
"Lagoon Boy can't you see how crash this is. How can you not be feeling the aster? I mean, Jason is alive!!!"exclaimed Impulse
Playing with thumbs, Impulse continued, "How did you survive? If you don't want to answer that, it's fine. It must be a hard subject."
"I don't know," replied Jason, who started to eat the food.
"Well that would make sense, I mean, you were in a explosion, so it would be logical that you don't remember anything," stated Blue Beetle
Pulling Lagoon Boy over, Beast Boy asked quietly, "Well, since we know that he isn't a killer, and we know who he is, can we stop calling each other by our code names?"
"I'm not sure, maybe it would be better if Red Hood doesn't know. I mean, we still don't know if we should trust him." La'gaan whispered back. Now with a louder tone, La'gaan began to address the rest of the team, who was still excited to see that Jason was alive, "We should probably get back to the interrogation, we only have a limited amount time with Red Hood."
"Dude," Impulse broke in, "we finally meet the second Robin, the son of Batman, Nightwing's long lost brother, the guy, who everyone believed to be dead, Robin's second older brother, and all you can say is that we should get back with the interrogation. That is so not crash."
"Are you finished?"asked La'gaan
"Not even close. Not only do you sound like a total jerk, but you are sounding like you aren't happy to see Jason! I don't know about you, but usually humans, who live on land, greet their 'thought-to-be-dead' friends," making air quotes with his hands, "with, I don't know a hug, or ask them what the hell happened, or anything else that would show that you were worried about them."
"Fine, Impulse, you're right, I should be nicer to Red Hood."sighed Lagoon Boy in defeat.
"Did...did...did you just hear that! Lagoon Boy just agreed with me. Can you say that again, I just want to make sure that I was recording this."
"Oh just shut up," retorted La'gaan rolling his eyes.
"Fine, but someone remind me to ask Robin or Nightwing to give me that footage. I think I'll make it my ringer."
"Shut up," shouted the rest of the team including Red Hood.
"Fine, but I really..."
Cutting Impulse off, Lagoon Boy said, "Could someone smack him for me!"
"I would, but we should get back to what we were originally talking about, before BC comes back."replied Blue Beetle.
Recognized Black Canary 13, Green Arrow 08,
"Too late," commented Beast Boy
"Well we should probably go meet them," suggested Wonder Girl
"Come on Jason. BC and GA will probably be so excited to see you not dead," said Imulse excitedly
"Let me just grab my helmet, and maybe we shouldn't tell them yet," advised Red Hood hesitantly
"Why the heck not?" inquired Beast Boy, "Don't you want to tell them that you aren't dead?"
"Yeah, but at least let me tell Nightwing, Batman, and Robin first. I would prefer that they know first."
"Fine," agreed the rest of the team.
"So, were you kids able to find out what you wanted to know?"asked Green Arrow
"Unfortunately, no, but we were able to get to know a little bit more about Red Hood," replied La'gaan
"Have you found anything yet, BC?" asked Beast Boy
"Still no, Superman has a feeling that we're getting close to something though," replied Black Canary
"Red Hood, it is time to get going, Flash is cooking."
"Great," remarked Red Hood sarcastically.
"Actually, BC, do you think that, maybe, Red Hood could stay with us? I mean, the Hall of Justice must be crowded, since, you know, Batman and Aquaman are missing. And besides, we have plenty of room here." recommended Wonder Girl.
"That actually isn't a bad idea."replied Green Arrow
"I don't know? Are you sure that you would be able to watch him?" questioned Black Canary, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"Sure, how hard can it be? All we have to do is watch him, and make sure that he doesn't escape. Easy-peasy." Impulse said matter-of-factly
"Fine, but I want to know everything that happens, and if he escapes, or if he gets confidental files, not only will you fear Batman, when he gets back, but you will be in trouble with the entire Justice League, and we will tell Nightwing."
"Don't worry, we got this." encouraged Blue Beetle.
"Alright, that's great. Come on BC, we need to head back, before..." Green Arrow's communicator then suddenly went off, with Superman's voice blasting over it, "Green Arrow,"
"Green Arrow here, what's going on?"
"Tell Black Canary to come back to the Hall of Justice, we may have found a clue as to where Batman and the others are kept."
"Well, you heard the kryptonian, let's go," urged Green Arrow
"Wait!! If you have information about our leader's whereabouts, we have the right to come as well."commanded La'gaan
"Not now Lagoon Boy, but if we hear or see anything that may lead us to them, we will tell you," Black Canary and Green Arrow was soon surrounded by light, and got teleported through the Zeta Tubes.
"Well, since BC and GA aren't coming back any time soon, Jason, do you want to check out your new room ?"inquired Blue Beetle,
"Sure, but are you really going to allow those two to tell you what to do? Especially when it's your leader and teammates that are missing?"replied Red Hood as he took off his helmet.
"We'll find out soon enough, anyway, come on dude, your new room will be so crash. And since, we know who you are, we get to tell you our secret identities. I'm Bart Allen, grandson to the Flash, that's Cassie Sandsmark, otherwise known as Wonder Girl."
"Hey," waved Cassie
"The dude in the blue armor, that's by best bud, and my partner in crime, Blue Beetle. Also known as Jaime Reyes."
"Holá, hermanó," said Jaime with a smile.
"Don't be alarmed about the kid in green. He's was just injected by Martian blood, so he has the ability to morp into different aniamls. Anyway, he's Garfield Logan. He's also part of my gang of pranks.
"What's up," greeted Gar with a smile
"You know, once Nightwing knows that you're Jason, he may let you join the Team, and if you can past our initiation, you can also join our gang of organized crime. And that weirdo, with the gills, is..."
"Don't. I don't him to know yet," interrupted La'gaan with a serious tone.
"Anyway, now that you know all of us, try to keep up, I'm not one to slow down for newbies." There was then a fast blur that ran out of the room, followed by a green cheetah, Wonder Girl, and Blue Beetle.
Once they were out of the room, La'gaan then backed Red Hood into a corner. Once they were inches away from each other's face, La'gaan hissed out, "I don't know what your goal is here, but I ain't buying your damn 'I'm just Batman's helper' act. I'll be watching you, and if you betray us, I'll be damn sure that I throw you into the deepest and darkest cell Belle Rev."
"Don't worry, you won't have to worry about me. And be careful of whom you are messing with, you have no idea what I'm capable of." Red Hood spat back, Red Hood then let out a pain filled scream, and started to fall to the ground. Looking around, stunned, La'gaan started to hear the sound of a loud rumbling coming from the feet of his team, making their way back.
"Dude, we heard..." Garfield then saw Jason, clutching his stomach, on the floor, "What the hell happened, Lagoon Boy, what did you do?" The rest of the team soon made their way towards Jason, and started to encircle him so that they could see if Jason sustained any major injuries.
"I didn't do anything, he making it up," putting his hands up, La'gaan started to walk back so that the rest of the team could see that Red Hood was lying.
"If you said that Jason was lying, how come Jason has a big bruise on his abdomen?"questioned Cassie
"What the hell are you talking about." Walking through the circle of young heroes, Lagaan saw that the team were able to take off some of Red Hood's Kevlar armor and padding. And underneath was a large bruise, surrounded by other scars and bruises, that was going from the shade of red, to the shade of purple. "This is bull crap, how do you know that these aren't pass bruises?"yelled La'gaan.
"If you look, you can distinctly see that this bruise was made quite a while ago, while the rest of Jason's bruises are already started to heal. Why did you punch him like that?"asked Jaime in enraged tone.
"It's fine, really, Lagoon Boy probably just doesn't like me. Don't worry about it. La'gaan and I will soon get along."
"Come on Jason, let's get you a ice pack. After that do you want to play some video games."advised Garfield
"Alright but I doubt that I'll be good."
Once Garfield and Jason left, the rest of the team turned towards La'gaan with glare that Batman would be proud of. "Alright, Lagoon Boy, why the hell did you punch him?"asked Bart with a angry tone.
"I didn't do anything, he was faking it the entire time," exclaimed La'gaan, :How ccan you think it was me?!"
"Look La'gaan, I get thet you don't like him right now, but that still doesn't give you the right to punch him. You could've damaged some major internal organs."reprimanded Cassie in a disappointed tone.
"I didn't do ANYTHING!!!"yelled La'gaan.
"We're going to hang out with Jason and Garfield. Why don't you just cool down." Blue Beetle, Impulse, and Wonder Girl then made their way towards the living room.
"I'll catch you soon enough Red Hood, guess I get to put you in a cell earlier than expected, fine by me."darkly muttered La'gaan.
