Miraculous: Return of the Dark Moth - Chapter Four
Chapter 4: Shadow Moth
Summary: After Dark Moth announced his return to Paris, he strikes the very things that were dear to Gabriel Agreste; his wife, Emilie Agreste and Nathalie Sancouer, forcing him to become Shadow Moth. Now Dark Moth uses him to be a puppet, turning Ladybug and Cat Noir against him again. And now with Luka wanting to know Marinette keeps leaving him during dates with him, Dark Moth possesses Gabriel to akumatise him into Truth. Can Ladybug and Cat Noir be able to stop Truth from wanting to know Marinette's secrets?
Gabriel Agreste had de-transformed from being Betterfly as he feeds his Kwami, Nooroo. He then makes a phone call to his wife, Emilie Agreste. "Hello Gabby. How was your apology speech?" She asked. "You and Emilie aren't safe. You're in danger! Get out of there!" Gabriel said in a tone of worry. "Relax, Gabby. I'm perfectly safe. No one knows I'm here." Emilie said until their phone connection was cut between them. Fearing the worst, Gabriel then enters inside his car and sees his son, Adrien Agreste already in his car. He turns his head to Adrien's bodyguard, "the Gorilla", Placide I.T. "Take us home. Now!" Gabriel said and the Gorilla nodded as he drove back to the Agreste Mansion.
Nathalie was walking to around the fireplace until she felt a chill in the air with tension rising. She then takes out a crossbow to defend herself. "Who's there? Show yourself!" Nathalie shouted as a shadow looms over her. "We meet again, Mayura…" A menacing voice said from behind her. She turned around and looked in shock. "It's you!" Nathalie shouted and screamed as the screen cut to black, and a demonic laugh echoed.
Gabriel Agreste, Adrien and his bodyguard rush into the mansion in the foyer. "Mom? Nathalie?" Adrien called out as Gabriel felt a demonic laugh echoing. "I need a moment with my son." Gabriel said to Adrien's bodyguard, who grunted and nodded, going elsewhere. "Adrien, head to your room with Plagg and recharge. I'll handle this." Gabriel said to his son.
Adrien nods and goes to his room where Plagg takes a slice of Camembert cheese. "Oh, Camembert. You and me were meant to be." Plagg said lovingly as he eats the piece of cheese. " You're always thinking with your stomach, Plagg. And I thought all cats like to eat fish when we first met." Adrien joked, getting Plagg's attention. "Oh, very funny." Plagg said unamused and sarcastically.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Nathalie struggles to stand up after being struck by the same illness she took when she wore the Peacock Miraculous when it was damaged. She coughs as she notices the room was spinning.
There Gabriel saw her struggling to walk as she was equipping her walking braces. "Nathalie! What happened?" Gabriel asked with worry. "Dark Mills is here again… You have to… stop him… save Emilie…. And save me." Nathalie said coughing. "You rest up. I'll check the Crypt." He said sending Nathalie to one of the rooms in the mansion. Gabriel dashed down to the secret passage from his atelier, and went down to the Crypt, the secret garden underneath the Agreste Mansion. He then went into shock to see Emilie Agreste in her comatose state and in her glass coffin again as he approached. "Emilie… No! Not again!" Gabriel said as he was on the verge of tears. Nooroo the Butterfly kwami comforts Gabriel, feeling bad for his master to lose his wife again because of the affliction of the damaged Peacock Miraculous.
"How sad... Emilie Agreste is once again a Sleeping Beauty." A voice taunted from behind Gabriel. Nooroo turns his head and gasps. "Too bad for you, Mr. Hawk Moo." Said Dark Mills as he came out of the shadows, smirking. Gabriel's eyes widened in fury as he turned to face him. "Why you little! I will destroy you!" Gabriel shouted enraged. "Is that a challenge?" Dark Mills smiled evilly towards the angered Gabriel Agreste. "Nooroo…" Gabriel said as Nooroo gasped to think he was going to break his promise to Emilie. "Light Wings Rise!" He shouted. Nooroo sighed in relief before he warped into the Butterfly Miraculous and Gabriel transformed into Betterfly. "So, you're the not same Hawk Moo I exposed since last time I fought you." Dark Mills smiled.
"My name is Betterfly. And don't call me Hawk Moo!" Gabriel growled, gritting his teeth. "If you insist. Time for Round Two!" Dark Mills said as he changes into his Dark Moth form, becoming demonic using his copy of the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses. "Let's see you entertain me, and my friends from the Other Side." Dark Moth said as a few butterflies around him turn into an army of demons appear behind him.
The two of them clashed mid-air, their miraculous powers colliding. The crypt trembled under the intense battle as the statues around them cracked and fell. The energy from their fight painted the room in a chaotic dance of light and shadow. Dark Moth signaled the demons to swarm around Betterfly and attack him, but he manages to defeat them with his sword cane. "Looking for somebody?" Dark Moth said as he teleported to another spot. Gabriel was going to use his sword cane on Dark Moth, but uses the comatose body of Emilie as a shield, making Gabriel miss his swing. "Attack me, and you'll never see her again, G.A." Dark Moth smirked.
Gabriel froze in place. He couldn't believe Dark Mills was using his own wife as a shield. The rage boiled inside of him, but he fell down to his knees. "What do you really want?" He demanded. "Oh, I'll tell ya what I want. What I really, really want. Miraculouses. And I'm not talking about the ones you're wearing." Dark Moth chuckled. "But first, let's talk… in your lair." He said as he teleports him and Betterfly at his lair as the observatory window opened. "Now, I know you have both the Miraculouses of Butterfly AND Peacock. So bring them out." Dark Moth smiled.
Betterfly frowned as he closed his eyes in defeat. "Light Wings Fall…" He said de-transforming into Gabriel as he wore both Miraculouses of Butterfly and Peacock. Nooroo and Duusu come out. "What happened? Did we win?" Duusu asked. Nooroo gasps and points behind her, and they are both shocked to see Dark Moth. "Surprise!" Dark Moth cackled as he changed by his Dark Mills form, and his copies of Nooroo and Duusu, Dark Nooroo and Dark Duusu appear with him. "Hello weaklings." Dark Nooroo spoke. "Did you miss us? We know you did." Dark Duusu smirked with an evil look on her face.
"Dark Moth! Figured you'd be here! Stop this madness now!" Nooroo demanded as Dark Nooroo pushed him back. "You're in no position to command this devil. You are no much for his power." Dark Nooroo spoke. "That is correct. Resistance is futile. As you will soon discover." Dark Duusu smiled and chuckled. "It is time…" Dark Moth smirked. "Time for what?" Duusu asked as she and Nooroo slowly realized and turned to Gabriel.
"Master?" Nooroo spoke in shock. "I'm sorry, Nooroo… This demon forced me to be evil again. This was the only way to save my love, and Emilie." Gabriel said looking down. "What? What'd Dark do to Emilie? To Nathalie?!" Duusu shouted. "Wouldn't you two like to know? Be prepared for what comes next." Dark Duusu smiled as Duusu holds Nooroo in fear. "I'm afraid this nightmare's just beginning for us." Nooroo said to Duusu. "That's right. He works for me now. Unless he wants his wife and birdbrained assistant alive and well again, he'll do what I say." Dark Moth smiled. "Now, merge with those gems." Dark Moth demanded.
"Nooroo, Duusu, Dual Metamorphosis…" Gabriel said sadly as he changes into a different form than Hawk Moth. By merging both Miraculouses, he became a different version of Hawk Moth.
"Good boy… From now on, there is no more Betterfly. No more Hawk Moth. Only Shadow Moth." Dark Moth smiled. "It's time to give Loserbug and Cataclysm for Brains some new villains to fight. I'll be watching you. And you have my guarantee, it feels so good to be bad." He chuckled as he vanished. "Emilie… Nathalie… Ladybug and Cat Noir… I'm sorry… I'm so very sorry." Gabriel said sadly shedding a tear.
Meanwhile, Marinette Dupain-Cheng aka Ladybug was carefully planning to make Magical Charms, protective trinkets designed to prevent those previously victimized by akumas from falling prey to evil once again. Each charm was meticulously sewn, enchanted with love and light. Her life as a hero was tougher than before now she was Guardian of the Chinese Miracle Box again.
Marinette's phone buzzed, snapping her out of her thoughts. Barkk the Dog Kwami tossed it over to Marinette. She glanced at the screen—Luka Coffaine. A smile crossed her face as she answered his call. "Hey, Luka!" she greeted cheerfully. "Marinette, hey," Luka's voice was calm and soothing. "I know things have been crazy lately, but I was wondering if you'd like to go see Jagged Stone's movie with me tonight? Crocodile Heart finally premiered after all the Akuma Wars delayed it."
Marinette hesitated, biting her lip. She was dating Adrien now—lovely, golden-haired Adrien—but Luka was still a valued friend. Finally, she decided, "Sure, let's do it. I could use a break." She said.
That evening, they met outside the theater. Luka's sky-blue eyes sparkled with excitement while Marinette tried her best to mask her internal turmoil. As the movie began, it wasn't long before there was a loud thud outside caused by an sentimonster illusion of Dark Cupid, and Marinette excused herself to get snacks, to fight the sentimonster. She went back only to return to find the credits rolling.
Embarrassed but wanting to salvage their friendship the next day, the two headed to André's ice cream stand. However, Marinette glimpsed an eerie illusion of Lollipop Boy, causing her to abruptly leave Luka behind to transform into Ladybug.
School had been its usual flurry of activities and whispers. Marinette tried to concentrate, but she couldn't shake the feeling that she was burdening herself with too many secrets. After classes, she and Luka went on a calming bike ride, only to have her attention diverted by yet another akuma attack. Frustration gnawed at her as she left Luka to suit up once more.
Later that day, at the Liberty—the Couffaine family houseboat—Kitty Section was going to play a song dedicated to Marinette. "I'd like to dedicate this song to Marinette, a girl…" Luka looks around, realizing Marinette is not there, dejectedly. "…who's not here as usual." Kitty Section then starts to play. " I love unicorns! I love unicorns! And cute little fluffy cats! " Sung Rose Lavillant as Luka was playing his guitar solemnly. Marinette then arrives, takes a seat, and waves. He notices, but doesn't acknowledge. "Stop the music!" He said to the band as they stopped playing, to their confusion.
"Me and Marinette need to talk." Luka spoke making Marinette wide-eyed. "Uh oh… You're in trouble now, BFF…" Alya whispered as she and Luka went somewhere else to chat. "Oh boy…" Adrien and Nino Lahiffe spoke in unison. Next scene was under a bridge where Luka stops Marinette as they go on a walk to have their talk.
"Luka, I'm sorry about earlier." Marinette apologized as she had to make up an excuse. "It's just that… There were mosquitoes on the boat, I thought we needed some insect repellent but the drug store was closed so I had to-" Luka then shushes her, interrupting her. "Shh, listen, the song of the water. If you listen carefully at this very spot under the bridge, you'll hear a melody." They listen to the river and smile at each other.
"You know, I never knew my father and my mom would never bring herself to tell me. So when I just couldn't deal with it all, I would take refuge here and the melody of the water would console me." Luka explained about his family. "What about you, Marinette? Where do you go when you disappear?" He asked as Marinette was starting to become nervous. "You tell me, I'll accept it. If you're still in love with Adrien, I'll understand. I won't be jealous you know." Luka spoke. "That's not it, not at all." Marinette said. "Whatever it is, I just want it to be the honest truth. Just tell me." Luka requested.
"The truth, Luka…" Marinette said as Alya watched from afar, shaking her head at Marinette about her secret of being Ladybug. "…is the only thing I can't tell you." She said. This word hits Luka so much that he suddenly feels heartbroken, upset and betrayed.
In Shadow Moth's lair. Dark Moth senses Luka's sadness. "What's this? Do I detect betrayal worse than the lies of the one you love? If it's one thing I like, it's watching someone betray a friend." Dark Moth smiled. "Shadow Moo." Dark Moth snaps his fingers for Shadow Moth to evilise Luka. He grumbles at that name, as if being called Hawk Moo wasn't enough, as he takes a feather from his fan, evillizes it into an amok. A butterfly lands in his other hand which he evilizes into an akuma. "I'm sorry, my akuma and beautiful amok… but fly away, and rewrite the song of this heartbroken boy!" Shadow Moth spoke out of remorse.
Luka, still upset, looks down and closes his eyes, very rejected as the akuma and amok fly into his guitar pick necklace.
"Truth, this is Shadow Moth. I'm sorry if I'm interrupting if anything." Shadow Moth said out of remorse, as Luka had a differently colored butterfly mask on his face. "Gabriel Agreste? I thought you were done with being Hawk Moth?" Luka spoke. "Apparently not. And it's Shadow Moth. He works for me now, and so will you." Shadow Moth said as his voice was starting to change, showing Dark Moth possessing him. "Now, your name will be Truth. For I am giving you the power to force people to tell you their most sacred secrets."
"Forget it! Truth needs to be shared, not taken by force, Dark Moth! Just leave me alone! And this "Shadow Moth" you turned Gabriel into!" Luka shouted as he struggling against Dark Moth's control via Shadow Moth's evilisation, and this was a shock to Marinette. "Shadow Moth? Dark Moth? No! Luka, please resist, I am so sorry!" Marinette pleaded.
"Riddle me this, bud. Why resist me when she clearly doesn't trust you?" Dark Moth asked playing mind games with Luka. "Because Marinette does trust me!" Luka replied. "I do! Of course I do!" Marinette shouted. "Oh really? If she trusted you, then she would tell you the truth! But she's too scared to even allow that to happen. Now… Accept my power!" Dark Moth shouted. "No!" Luka shouted fighting back.
"Strong willed, are we? Not for long." Dark Moth said as he lifted his sunglasses, his eyes gleamed red, making Luka scream in pain. "Marinette, run! Get out of here!" Luka shouted in pain and Marinette had no choice but to flee. "Accept my power and you will know everything. And all I ask of you in return is to expose Ladybug and Cat Noir's little secrets. Are we clear? Just say, "All Hail Dark Moth." Dark Moth spoke as he snapped his fingers, making Luka succumb to his power, and his eyes turned yellow. "All Hail Dark Moth." Luka spoke in a trance as he was akumatised into Truth by the akuma.
He now wears black and blue bodysuit with three eyes, and now he is determined to find out Marinette's secrets. "There's a good lad." Dark Moth said as Shadow Moth creates a Sentimonster. "My Sentimonster, Lighteye will help you. Failure is not an option." Dark Moth said as the sentimonster was created. Lighteye is giant angry eye ball sentimonster. Lighteye is created by the amok. "It's time to have some fun… to expose the truth." Truth spoke.
Marinette ran off to the streets, where she hides to transform with Tikki. "Sounds like Gabriel lost to Dark Moth again." Tikki stated. "We have to stop him, by freeing Luka from this demonic possession." Marinette said to her Kwami.
Cue Ladybug Transformation Sequence.
"Tikki, spots on! Ah!" Marinette said sadly as Tikki warps into her earrings, transforming into the Miraculous Ladybug.
Back on The Liberty, Alya Césaire and everyone else were leaving. "Okay guys, Marinette and Luka should be back soon. But for now… see ya." Alya spoke to her friends. "Oh, we'll see ya." Truth spoke as Lighteye immobilizes her in its gaze and Truth shoots his beam at Alya, making her lips turn white. "Now… Tell me the truth, what is Marinette's secret!" Truth spoke. "She is.. in love with Adrien Agreste." Alya confessed like she was forced to say it. But Truth already knew that. "I know that… That's not a secret!" Truth spoke annoyed, as Lighteye lets Alya go and immobilizes Mylène. Truth then shoots his beam at her to make her confess, but even she says the same thing. Ladybug then leaves a message for Cat Noir aka Adrien Agreste on her yo-yo. "Cat Noir, Hawk Moth's merged his powers with the Peacock to become Shadow Moth. He's created a supervillain and a sentimonster at the same time. I need you out here!" She shouted.
Ladybug then fought Luka as Truth as she too began to become immobilized by Lighteye, and gets hit by Truth's ray. "You are in my power. Now… Who are you, Ladybug?" Truth spoke as he approached. "Truth! Stop!" Shadow Moth shouted as Dark Moth began to eat popcorn, to his annoyance. "I… am…" Before Ladybug could even finish her sentence, Cat Noir arrived to interrupt and push her into the water along with water with him in order to not let Ladybug tell him her real identity. "A super swimmer!"
Shadow Moth sighs in relief to see his son stop her from revealing her identity. "Good job, son." He said as Dark Moth growled impatiently. "Truth! Pull them out, now! Didi mau! Didi mau!" He ordered. "I don't know what that means. Besides, I must know Ladybug's secret identity!" Truth shouted as Anarka Couffaine, the captain of The Liberty notices. "Hey! what are you doing on my ship, pirate?" She shouted until she gets immobilized by Lighteye and struck by Truth's beam, turning her lips white.
"It's time to tell me the truth, Mom! Who is my father?" Truth requested. "Luka? Y-your father is.. Jagged Stone." Anarka confessed and this was a shock to Truth. "I want the truth! Who is really my father?" He asked. "Jagged Stone." Anarka repeated as Truth couldn't believe it. "Sorry, Dark Moth, but the truth can't be put on hold!" Truth starts to jump away. Meanwhile, Cat Noir helps Ladybug out of the water.
Cat Noir started noticing Ladybug is nervous about being compelled to tell the truth. "Don't worry, I'll never claw a secret out of you, M'lady." Ladybug relaxes and points to his belt. He gives it to her and she wraps it over her mouth, thus gagging herself. "There. Better?" Cat asked as Ladybug was muffled and gives him a thumbs up as they gave chase to Truth.
Cue Ladybug Miraculous Scene Transition.
Next scene was Le Grand Paris rooftop. Truth confronts Jagged Stone as he rehearses a song. "Oh Prince Ali, you're one year older, but to us you're still a real rock and roller." He sung until he gets immobilized by Lighteye. "Hey! Easy on the spotlight buddy, it's only a rehearsal." Jagged spoke. "I am not your buddy. I'm here to find out if I'm your son." Truth spoke to him. "Uh, depends on who you are." Jagged stated. "Hey, I wanna play too." Cat Noir spoke from to Truth as he and Ladybug caught up with him. "How about a little "Truth or Dare"?" He asked as Ladybug was muffled. "Truth and dare, eh Lighteye, freeze Ladybug and Cat Noir!" Truth commanded to Lighteye as it distracts Ladybug and Cat Noir so Truth can talk to Jagged Stone.
"My name is Luka Couffaine and I have the right to know the truth!" Truth said as be shoots his beam at Jagged Stone, making his lips turn white. "Are you or are you not my father?!" He asked and shouted as Jagged was starting to recognize his voice. "Luka Couffaine?" Then comes a short pause. "Yes, I am your father."
Truth becomes stricken with so much shock to hear that the most famous rock guitar player was his father this entire time and he didn't notice. Ladybug and Cat Noir are shocked as well.
However, Truth was shocked and upset at this astounding fact. "Why would you hide this from me, and why did you abandon me?!" Truth demanded. "I was too lame to take care of a kid. I'm sorry, son, but I spent my whole life on tour. I live in hotels with a crocodile. I could never be the father you'd need me to be. Besides, it made for a super cool song! Have you heard "My guitar is my only family"?" Jagged Stone confessed as Truth clenched his fists.
"Why don't you write a song about THIS?!" Truth angrily asked. Still angry that Jagged left him, in his rage, Truth tosses Jagged into an alleyway; Ladybug and Cat Noir leap after him. "Get them!" Dark Moth commanded while possessing Shadow Moth. "Sorry Dark Moth, I still have one last truth to uncover." Truth spoke.
In Shadow Moth's lair, he was getting annoyed. "How can I be sure that it's really the last one?" He asked. "Because I always tell the truth!" Truth stated. "Fine, but hurry up!" Dark Moth said via the butterfly mask.
Ladybug uses her yo-yo to save Jagged Stone and sets him somewhere safe. "Woohoo! My son is out of sight!" Jagged Stone whooped as Lighteye almost catches sight of the heroes, but they hide, so the sentimonster moves on. "Now you stay out of sight while we deakumatize him. We'll get him back to his senses." Cat Noir said to the rock star as he jumps away and Ladybug nods in agreement as she jumps after him. Cat Noir then attempts to get Lighteye's attention. "Yoohoo!"
Cue Ladybug Miraculous Scene Transition.
Truth enters the bakery where Marinette lives. He tries to get Tom and Sabine to tell him Marinette's secret, but it was all the same. "Marinette loves Adrien." Truth then sensed Lighteye had found Ladybug and Cat Noir outside. "Stay where you are, Lighteye." He said. However, Ladybug and Cat Noir were watching from behind a bush, and they watch Lighteye fall for the decoy they set up. "Your idea was "spots on", Buga— Ladybug." Cat Noir stated as Ladybug smiled under her gag.
As the Kwamis were staying in Marinette's room, Barkk the Dog Kwami hears some noise downstairs. "Everybody, hide! Somebody's coming up!" The kwamis hides in a cabinet with the Miracle Box. Truth then walks up to Marinette's room. But before he could reach into the cabinet for the Miracle Box, he is stopped by Ladybug's yo-yo wrapping around his wrist. "Lighteye, come back. Now!" Truth commanded to his sentimonster.
Ladybug, muffled, motioned Cat Noir to where the akumatized object on Truth was. And Cat Noir understood what she was saying. "That's the akumatized object! Got it! Cataclysm!" He shouted activating his Cataclysm. However, Ladybug was thrown into the trunk by Truth. "Uh, M'lady, whenever you're ready you can call up your Lucky Charm!" Cat Noir spoke until he saw that she was still gagged. "Oh right. Take it off!" Ladybug takes the belt off her mouth.
"Let's try again…" Truth spoke to Ladybug. "Ladybug, tell us what's your-" Cat Noir trips Truth, interrupting him. "Top three favorite qualities in Cat Noir!" The cat hero spoke. "I have to say it's his courage, his self-confidence, but really the quality I like most in Cat Noir is his humor." Ladybug confessed. "So you're saying you actually like it when I clown around?" Cat Noir asked.
"Yes, and I couldn't do without it today!" Ladybug spoke. "Ladybug, under your mask, what do you-" Truth spoke until he was knocked over by Cat Noir. "Use when all seems lost?" Cat Noir asked taking Truth's place as he winks at her.
"My Lucky Charm!" She shouted sending her yo-yo up and the magic ladybugs create the Lucky Charm. She then receives a box of aluminum foil. Before she could use her Lucky Vision, she gets interrupted by Light-Eye breaking in from behind her. She sees Cat Noir get immobilized and hit by Truth's beam. "Cat Noir!" She shouted as his lips turn white. "Cat Noir, tell me what—" Truth demanded until he was interrupted by Ladybug throwing a present at Truth and covering a parasol with foil. "...do you think about my new role as guardian!" Ladybug asked taking Truth's sentence.
"If it doesn't change things between us like back then in the Akuma Wars, then I'm good with it!" Cat Noir spoke as Ladybug finally uses her Lucky Vision and spots Lighteye, a parasol, and the box of aluminum foil that she's holding. She grabs the parasol and wraps the aluminum foil around it as she pulls Lighteye to Cat Noir and cataclysms it. But then, Lighteye starts to move uncontrollably around the room. "Lighteye, stop!" Truth shouted in shock.
Ladybug attaches her yo-yo to Lighteye, and aims it at the parasol, which reflects its beam back to Truth. Ladybug throws her yo-yo at Truth's necklace, freeing the akuma and amok. "No more evil doing for you little akuma!" She opens up her yo-yo and swings it around. "Time to de-evilize!" She then captures both the akuma and amok and purifies them. "Gotcha!" She then releases the now purified butterfly and feather. "Bye! Miraculous Ladybug!" She throws the Lucky Charm into the air, and it explodes into a blast of energy. It turns everything back to normal, everyone's lips are now normal, the broken wall in Marinette's room is fixed, and Truth turns back into Luka.
"What am I doing... in Marinette's room?" Luka asked. "That's… a long story. Gotta go." Cat Noir stated before leaving. Ladybug then picks out a Magical Charm for Luka Couffaine. "Here. It's a Magical Charm. It'll protect you from any more akuma attacks." She said. "Thanks, Ladybug. And tell Marinette… we need to talk." Luka spoke making Ladybug wide-eyed. "Uh sure…" Ladybug smiled.
Back in Shadow Moth's Lair, Dark Moth exits Shadow Moth's body. "Good try, Bug for Brains, but this attack was only the beginning as your little Betterfly is in my power." Dark Moth smirked as Shadow Moth grumbles as the observatory window closed.
On a nearby rooftop, Ladybug and Cat Noir took a moment to catch their breath, discussing the battle and Shadow Moth's renewed vigor. "That fight sure was… something, Marinette." Cat Noir stated to his partner. "It was so strange. It's almost like your father went back to being the evil Hawk Moth, but as Shadow Moth using both the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses." Ladybug stated. "What if Dark Moth got to him as part of his plan? Forcing him into being his puppet?" Ladybug spoke realizing what Dark Moth by taking something that was dear to the Agreste Family.
"Be that as it may, I can only say this… He won't win. No matter what happens." Cat Noir said confidently, tapping his staff on the ground. "Not as long as we have each other's backs." He said as he gets up. "I gotta get going, milady. And you should probably patch things up with Luka as soon as possible. Don't want him to be on Dark Moth's minion list." Cat Noir said before leaving.
Later, after she detransformed, Marinette approached Luka. The recent turmoil weighed heavily on her heart. "Luka, I... I don't want to keep lying. I think it's best if... if we break—" she confessed, her voice breaking. Luka stopped Marinette with a finger on her lips, making her wide-eyed.
Luka sighed deeply but managed a small smile. "I knew about you and Adrien. It's okay, Marinette. We'll always be friends. And if things ever get tough, you know where to find me." They hugged, a bittersweet embrace, each promising to support the other no matter what storms lay ahead. "When you're ready, I'll be here, when you want to talk to me, Marinette." Luka spoke to Marinette as she leans her head on Luka's shoulder and closes her eyes.
Marinette felt a weight lift from her shoulders, even as she knew more trials were sure to come. But for now, she had thanks, forgiveness, and a steadfast ally in Luka. And sometimes, that was enough.
Jagged Stone comes to see Luka outside the Liberty and hugs him. "If there's one thing I can do, son, it's taking emotions and turning 'em into great songs! Should we write one together?" Jagged offered. Luka nods; and Jagged smiles making peace with his son.
Meanwhile, in Marinette's room. Marinette started crying in despair. "As long as Dark Moth is a threat to the people I love, I can't have a boyfriend. It's too dangerous." She weeped as the Kwamis, Fluff, Daizzi, Kaalki and Trixx approach her. "What is that strange liquid running from her eyes?" Kaalki the Horse Kwami asked. "It's tears. That's so sad!" Trixx spoke. "Are we supposed to do something?" Daizzi asked. "What can we do?" The Pig Kwami asked as Marinette moaned. "Just give me a hug." The kwamis hug Marinette to comfort her.
