Optimus: We cannot allow Megatron to send Dark Energon through his Space Bridge. If we fail, the dead of Cybertron will rise… Swarm through its vortex… and invade Earth. Bending humankind to Megatron's twisted rule.
Sonic, Tails, and Cliffjumper drove in the base as Optimus finished talking. The duo got off of Cliff's vehicle mode and the red mech transformed into his robot mode. The blue hedgehog and the yellow two-tailed fox then looked up at the Autobot leader.
Sonic: Well, good news, Prime. We'll make sure that never happens.
Tails: Yeah!
Sonic the Hedgehog Transformers Prime
Outside of KO Burgers, Jack looked at the fast food place. Last night, Miko tried to convince him to come back to the team, only to refuse since he didn't want to be in danger and just wanted a normal life. He even tried to get Raf to come with him so the pre-teen wouldn't get hurt, or even worse. However, Raf decided to stay with the Autobots. Before the older teen could walk inside, he heard sounds behind him. When he turned around, he saw Arcee in her vehicle mode.
Arcee: Nice bike.
He then started walking to her.
Jack: A-Arcee? Look, really, Miko already tried. Tell Optimus I respect him big time, but if you're at war with the Decepticons... There's nothing I can do to help.
Arcee: Optimus didn't send me, and no one's asking for your help.
Jack: Okay, so if we both agree that I'm not warrior material…
Arcee: Jack, I just lost someone I cared about… Maybe it's the grieve talking, maybe you're growing onto me. Whatever it is… I'm just not ready to say good-bye.
Jack was surprised that the two-wheeler said all those things. He then smiled at her.
Back in the Autobot Base, The Autobots were getting ready for the fight of their lives, and they weren't the only ones.
Since Sonic and Tails can't return home because the Chaos Emeralds aren't enough to teleport them back, they decided to stay and help the Autobots stop Megatron's plan for good. Even though it's not their world, they weren't going to let some monstrous decepticon take over it.
Ratchet: Optimus, I've pinpointed the location of Megatron's Space Bridge. High in Earth's orbit.
Optimus: Out of our reach.
Miko: Ok, so you guys don't fly... but can't you just ground-bridge there?
Ratchet: The groundbridge has limited range. Stretched all the way in orbit its vortex could snap, and scatter us to the stars.
Sonic, Tails, Miko, and Raf had worried looks on their faces. Even though they only knew the Autobots for a few days, they didn't want them to get hurt... or killed. Optimus then walked to the groundbridge tunnel.
Optimus: Since Megatron is likely already in transit, I'm afraid we must take that risk. Reaching the spacebridge first is our only means of stopping him.
After Optimus finished talking about their mission, they heard noises coming from the tunnel and saw Arcee in her vehicle mode, with Jack on broad.
Jack: Hey, guess who's back!
The Autobots, Miko, Raf, Sonic, and Tails saw Jack and were happy to see him. Optimus then walked up to the ground bridge.
Optimus: Autobots, prepare for departure.
Arcee then transformed into her robot mode after Jack got off of her.
Arcee: Where to?
Miko: The final frontier.
Jack was surprised, knowing what Miko meant.
Jack: Space? I thought they didn't have any way to get there.
Tails: Not Really.
Jack then looked at Arcee.
Jack: So, be seeing you?
The two-wheeler smiled at the teenager and walked toward her fellow Autobots. Ratchet then activates the Ground Bridge, while Raf and Bumblebee look at each other. Miko also looked at Bulkhead.
Raf: Be careful, Bee.
Bumblebee: (Don't worry, Raf. I'll be alright.)
Miko: I'm so jealous!
Bulkhead: Don't even think about following me.
Cliffjumper then looked at Sonic and Tails while Bee and Bulk headed to the Ground Bridge. He had to admit, these two reminded of himself a lot, even reminding him of his deceased partners, Sparkblaster and Prowl.
Sonic: Tails and I have been in space before.
The Autobots were surprised when the blue hedgehog said that.
Tails: We'll tell you guys later. Point is, Cliff, we'd like to come along, but it looks like a job for you. So, be careful.
The red mech then gave the two-tailed fox and the blue hedgehog a confident smile.
Cliffjumper: Don't worry, guys. I'll be fine. Besides, You mess with Cliffjumper-
Sonic: And you get the horns!
The blue hedgehog gave Cliff a thumbs up. Cliff nodded and headed to the ground bridge with the rest with the autobots. The medic then looked at Optimus, who wasn't looking back at him.
Ratchet: Optimus, if you leave me on a planet stranded teeming with humans... and talking animals, I will never forgive you.
Optimus: Until we meet again, old friend.
The red and blue mech titan then deployed his signature battle mask.
Optimus: Autobots, roll out!
In a swift motion, the 'Bots shifted into their vehicle modes. On cue, Ratchet activated their groundbridge turned spacebridge. A swirling vortex of green and white appeared inside the tunnel. With Optimus at the lead, the Autobots stormed into the portal.
Optimus: Maximum Overdrive!
After the 'Bots had exited into the portal, the medic/doctor shut off the vortex. Sonic then looked at the others.
Sonic: Although I am glad to help, I do hate standing around while they're risking their lives for us.
The others nodded their heads in agreement.
Earth's Orbit/Outer Space
Orbiting in-between the Earth and its moon was a ginormous ring that appeared to be constructed of a rocky mineral, with spikes that juked out from the circumference. The inside of the ring was completely opposite, as it was plated with smooth metal. This marvellous and ominous structure was none other than the Decepticon Spacebridge.
Suddenly, a green and white vortex appeared right at the bottom rim of the spacebridge. Exiting out of the portal was a red and blue semi-truck, a green SUV, a yellow and black muscle car, a red dodge challenger with horns at the front, and a blue motorcycle. That's when the autobots transformed into their respective robot modes.
Optimus: Autobots, transform... and gravatise!
As they neared the ring's rim, electric bolts arched out from the soles of their feet and onto the surface of the rim. The electric-magnetic current pulled the 'Bots towards the surface until their feet were finally secured on the metal ground.
Bulkhead comically stumbled for a second as soon as his feet touched the floor.
Bulkhead: Wo-woah. Don't look down... or up... or left.
They then saw the decepticon warship heading to the direction of the Space Bridge and them.
Arcee: So Megatron's packing enough Dark Energon to raise Cybertron's dead?
Optimus: And since we don't possess ready means of disabling the space bridge…
He and the others activated their weapons.
Optimus: Nothing goes in... or out!
On the Nemesis, Megatron looked at a monitor which showed the Autobots on the space bridge. He then smirks and starts to chuckle.
Megatron: Optimus never disappoints... Unlike you, Starscream!
Starscream yelped as he took a vigilant step backwards, but he quickly regained his composure.
Starscream: No need for concern, master. Soundwave is locking on to Cybertron's coordinates. Per my… instructions.
Megatron narrowed his blood-red eyes and swiftly turned his helm back to the monitor.
Back at the Decepticon Spacebridge, where the Autobots were guarding, they remained in their battle stance, with blasters drawn, aimed at the Nemesis. They had been standing there for over a few minutes, and Team Prime was becoming restless and confused as to why the 'Cons weren't attacking. Clearly the Decepticons are up to something, but what?
Arcee: Well… what are they waiting for?
Cliffjumper: They're probably waiting for us to stop crushing their drones. Ha!
Arcee rolled her eyes, while smiling at Cliff. Optimus then lowered his blasters and trained his eyes on the Decepticon warship. Optimus used his highly-advanced optics to zoom in on the ship. He quickly took notice of a broken space dish on top of the vessel. It appeared to heavily damage as sparks were flying off of it.
Optimus: It appears the Decepticons have sustained serious damage to their interstellar navigation system.
Bulkhead then smiled, remembering the damage he and Sonic caused in the decepticon ship.
Bulkhead: Huh, that's my handiwork. Sonic helped too.
Optimus: Great job, Bulkhead. Without the dish, Megatron will be unable to lock onto Cybertron.
Autobot Base
Ratchet, the human kids, and Team Sonic listened in on the Autobot's conversation via the com-links.
Optimus: Great job, Bulkhead. Without the dish, Megatron will be unable to lock onto Cybertron.
Tails: No offense, but don't the Decepticons know where their own planet is?
Ratchet: Hmph… naturally, but Cybertron is many light-years away. To reach their target their aim must be astronomically precise.
Optimus: If Megatron went to the trouble of rendezvousing with his spacebridge, then it stands to reason… that he has an alternate targeting system. A remote one.
Ratchet: If I know anything of Earth's technology then I doubt there exists a single radio telescope dish on this planet powerful enough to pinpoint Cybertron.
Raf, who was seated in a rolling chair, rolled over to a computer to access the internet.
Raf: What about a whole bunch of linked radio telescope dishes? Like the giant Size-Array in Texas?
Tails checked it out and looked at Raf.
Tails: That's genius!
The medic/doctor on the other hand, leaned forward and scolded at them.
Ratchet: Ep, ep, ep! This is not child's play!
Optimus, however, thought it was a great idea! Even Ratchet couldn't believe that his leader liked the idea.
Optimus: Tails, Raf, good thinking. Ratchet, have Agent Fowler alert the array staff to the security hazard.
The team then look at the direction where Agent Fowler is, who was still recovering from his encounter with the SIC of the Decepticons.
Fowler: You, soldier! You're out of uniform! Put on some pants.
The agent then fell down on his bed.
Ratchet: That may be a challenge.
Raf started typing on his computer again, but still didn't got no where.
Raf: I can't get past the array's firewalls. They're too thick.
Tails tried to help, but it didn't work for him either.
Tails: He's right...
Ratchet: You two actually think you could keep the Decepticons out?
Raf: Maybe. If we could get in.
Jack and Sonic realized what he meant and walked towards him.
Jack: Uh, wait, wait, wait. Raf, what if we could get you all the way in, like inside-the-building in?
Sonic: Yeah.
Raf: I could walk into their internal network on the other side of the firewall.
Optimus: The risk is too great. The Decepticons will be there, perhaps even on site.
Jack thought about this. As much as he wanted to protect Raf and Miko, he knew that if the Autobots lose, that'll be the end of the earth. Sonic and Tails were thinking the same thing. Whether the Decepticons knew it or not, once they conquer this world, they'll go after theirs next, if they find out how, at least.
Jack: Optimus, with all due respect, you said it yourself. This is bigger than the safety of three humans.
Miko: Yeah. If we let the 'Cons win, we're fragged, along with everyone else on our planet.
Tails: Optimus, let me and Sonic come with them. We protected them before.
Sonic: Prime, if you and the Autobots lose, that'll be the end of this universe. Mobius might be next, whether Megatron knows it or not. So, as far if we're concerned, this is our battle too.
A moment of silence passed as Optimus mulled over the situation.
Optimus: Raf?
Raf: I want to give it a shot.
In the dry, barren landscape of West Texas was a large assortment of radio telescope dishes; otherwise known as the Size-Array. Out of nowhere, inside the fence that conceals the Size-Array's operation building, a swirling vortex appeared out of thin air. Sonic, Tails, Jack, Miko, and Raf jumped out of the portal and onto the rocky ground.
Upon exiting the vortex, all four of the heroes felt a little dizzy. Jack groaned as he held his head.
Jack: That'll take some getting used to.
Tails then looked at Sonic, who was fine after jumping through the portal.
Tails: Oh... you run and jump like that all the time? Can I ask you a question: how do you keep your lunch down?
Sonic: Sorry Tails, but there are some secrets you can't even share with your best friend.
Quickly recovering from their minor vertigo, the sight of a giant, white operations building grabbed the trio's attention. With determined demeanours, Tails, Sonic, and the human kids made their way to the building.
Meanwhile on the Nemesis, Starscream notices how the Autobots were positioned and realized that they were up to something. "Surely, Lord Megatron, the Autobots are up to something."
Megatron turned around and approached his second-in-command, "Really, Starscream?" He asked him sarcastically, at his face which. He then turned around and slammed his fist on a control, an alarm then blares, "Crush them!"
The autobots on the space bridge notices the jet Vehicons heading towards them.
Bulkhead: Here comes the welcoming committee.
Cliffjumper: The let's get some Con tailpipe!
They began to get into battle formation as the Vehicons started shooting at the Autobots and transformed, and the Autobots started blasting as they approached them. Vehicons then landed on the space bridge at multiple areas, next to Optimus one of them landed and he slammed him down and threw him towards another Vehicon that was in the air.
One of the Vehicons approached Bulkhead and switched from his blasters to his mace and pounded the Vehicon on the head.
Arcee and Cliffjumper blasted the Vehicons that were approaching them. More Vehicons were approaching them and tried to crush them. The two-wheeler integrated blades that deployed from their arms and attack the decepticon soldiers, while the red dodge challenger bashed them with his fists.
Meanwhile inside the giant size array building, Miko looked outside the door, and after seeing nobody, she closed it and made his way to Sonic, Tails, Jack, and Raf.
Miko: Security sure is lax in this place.
However, no one commented as Sonic, Tails, Jack and Raf were fixated on the computer. After entering in various series of codes, Tails and Raf smiled as they successfully hacked into the mainframe.
Tails: Yes! We're in!
Raf then checked at the screen.
Raf: And so are the Decepticons.
Sonic: What?
Miko: How do you know?
Tails: Schematics with the same alien math we saw on their ship.
Raf then pulls out the flash drive he had from his backpack.
Raf: But this time, I can download them.
The pre-teen installed the drive into a port, allowing it to copy and store the alien representations.
Sonic: It's gotta be the spacebridge.
Tails: From here, Raf and I can access the system and keep them from locking on to Cybertron.
Jack: Will they know?
Raf: Even if the Decepticons see that we're in the system, they'll have no idea we're in the house.
Back on the space bridge the Autobots were still fighting the Vehicons when suddenly they felt a rumble as the bridge started to lock onto Cybertron.
Arcee: What just happened?
Cliffjumper: The space bridge...
Optimus: The Decepticons are locking on to Cybertron.
On the Nemesis, Starscream noticed that the space bridge was locked onto Cybertron.
Starscream: Lord Megatron, the space Bridge is ready for activation.
Megatron: Finally!
Meanwhile back in the inside of the giant size array building, Raf and Tails noticed that the Decepticons were locked onto Cybertron.
Tails: They're locked onto Cybertron.
Raf: But not for long.
They began typing, causing the radio dishes to look forward instead of upwards.
Meanwhile back at the space bridge, the bridge lost the connection to cybertron, Bumblebee buzzed as he made a gesture with his arms upwards. "Indeed, Bumblebee," Optimus said as he punched a Vehicon. "This can only be Tails and Raf's doing."
Meanwhile on the Nemesis, they saw what happened, "Starscream, what is happening?" Megatron asked his second-in-command.
Starscream stammered as he didn't know what was happening and contacted Soundwave, "Soundwave what is happening?"
Meanwhile with Soundwave, he scanned the rooms, through the cameras and noticed Sonic, Tails, Jack, Raf and Miko at a computer tampering with their work.
"The dishes are heading back towards cybertron," Raf told Jack, Sonic, Tails and Miko, "I'll just undo that again." He began typing on the computer again.
Sonic: You sure they won't know, buddy?
Jack: Yeah, what happens when the 'Cons realize they're being punked?
Tails: Don't worry, guys. It's only virtual combat.
Raf: Like online gaming.
Miko: Sonic, Jack, don't worry. What are the 'Cons gonna do? They're probably, like, 1,000 miles away.
Unbeknownst to them the door opened and Soundwave's tentacle approached them from behind.
Jack hears Soundwave's tentacle making clicking sound and notices it, he screams as he sees it, he grabs it and the tentacle throws them around.
"I won't let them lock on again," Raf said and the tentacle throws Jack at a wall, and then throws Miko at the same wall as he gets up, the tentacle approaches Raf, he notices it and stood up as he took his flash drive out of the computer and as he dodges the tentacle's attack, it broke the computer he was at. Before Miko could grab the axe, Sonic spaindash through the tentacle. An electric screeching noise was created as the claw-like servo fell to the floor, with blue liquid pouring out.
The severed appendage immediately went out the door, leaving a trail of Energon in its wake.
Sonic: Come back here!
Sonic followed the damaged tentacle. Before Tails could follow the blue hedgehog, he told the human children to stay.
Tails: Stay here!
Miko: Can I hold and use the axe?
Tails: No! Put it down!
Miko: Aw!
The two-tailed fox then followed the blue hedgehog, unknowing to him (or the human kids) that another tentacle was approaching to the human trio. That's when it attacked the human kids. Miko then went to the axe.
Back with the blue hedgehog, he rushed out the door, pursuing the tentacle, with Tails following him. Team Sonic ran down the hallway in hot pursuit of the strange, metal tentacle. They saw it retract inside a room at the end of the passageway. But before they could reach it, the heavy steel doors to the room slammed shut in front of them. The blue hedgehog then gave himself a smirk.
Sonic: 'Like that's gonna stop us.'
Instead of stopping, Sonic ran faster towards the door. He then spin-dashed through the doors, breaking them in the process. Once he and Tails entered the room, the two mobian heroes gasped.
Kneeling in front of a huge computer console was a thirty-foot tall Decepticon. Its metallic body was lean and slender and its colour scheme was primarily black with purple highlights. But what really separated this 'Con from the rest was that instead of a face or a horizontal visor, it's entire face was just a blank screen. Tails and Sonic could see that the severed tentacle attached to its chest, and Energon leaking out of the wound Sonic inflicted.
Soundwave turned his head towards the duo, surprised that they could break down a steel door like that. He examined them attentively and was inwardly shocked to see a blue hedgehog and a two-tailed fox. Soundwave wasn't sure who or what they were, or what their capabilities are, but he has a job to do, and he couldn't complete it with these creatures in the way.
Using his other undamaged tentacle, Soundwave reared back and aimed to swipe them all into a wall. However, they move out of the way with their super speed. The two-tailed fox then jumped into the air and instantly sliced Soundwave's other tentacle in half with his two tails, shocking the spymaster.
With a second tentacle out of commission, the fastest thing alive leapt forward with his fist reared back. However, despite the pain flooding his system from losing his tentacle, Soundwave anticipated this move and grabbed Sonic mid-air. The blue hedgehog squirmed in Soundwave's servo, prompting the spymaster to tighten his grip. Before he could look at him closely, Tails blasted Soundwave's back with his arm cannon, but it didn't harm him that much. The decepticon then dropped the blue hedgehog and walked towards the two-tailed fox. He then kicked Tails' face, sending him to the wall, getting hurt too bad. Sonic was shocked to see his best friend hurt.
Sonic: Tails!
The blue hedgehog sprinted towards the two-tailed fox and checked his status. While glad Tails was still alive, Sonic was really ticked off at the moment. The blue hedgehog became so angry that he went to his dark form instantly.
Dark Sonic: You bastard!
Soundwave was shocked seeing this blue creature in other level. He didn't know how he got it, but that wasn't going to stop him. Before he could do anything, however, Dark Sonic ran towards the silent decepticon and punched Soundwave's face, cracking it a bit and sending him towards the wall. Soundwave then tried to get up, but the dark-powered hedgehog attacked the silent decepticon from different directions with his speed. For a spymaster, Soundwave couldn't see or attack the hedgehog, due to his speed.
Back with the human kids, Miko tried to slice the tentacle that attacked them, but it hit her, causing her to let go of the axe. The tentacle then grabbed the axe and went towards the children.
Jack: You handed it an axe?!
Raf: Not good.
As they close their eyes to accept their fate, the tentacle just went elsewhere, getting out of the room they were in. Realizing that Sonic and Tails are still out there, they decided to follow the tentacle.
Back with Dark Sonic, he was busting Soundwave back and forth. He then sent him to the ground. That's when the third tentacle, holding an axe, was about to attack him, but the dark-powered hedgehog deflected it, unknowingly sent it to the cord, cutting it in half. Dark Sonic was about to finish Soundwave off, until an image of Tails appeared in his mind.
'Sonic!'
He then had images of E-102 Gamma and Emerl, the robots who had the change of heart and helped him and his friends stops his enemy from taking over the world. For Gamma, he was created by Eggman, but he didn't want to hurt anyone. He even became friends with Amy Rose. If it weren't for her, he would have spin-dashed Gamma in half. Next was Emerl. Eggman found him and intended to use him for his plan. But, he then considered him useless... Or so he thought. Emerl made many friends, even Shadow, who tried to destroy him, but for a good reason. Emerl thanked Sonic, Tails, Cream, Shadow, their friends, even Eggman for giving him a life before his demise. The more Sonic thought of these memories, the more he felt bad for them.
That's when Jack, Miko, and Raf found them in the room. They went to Tails and picked him up.
Jack: You okay, kid?
Tails: Y-yeah. I'm okay.
Dark Sonic turned around and saw that Tails was okay. Miko saw this and took a picture of him standing on Soundwave, who was scanning and analyzing him. When the dark-powered hedgehog revert back to normal, the spymaster push the hedgehog off of him and blasted the roof, destroying in the process.
Soundwave then got top of the destroyed roof and looked back at Sonic, Tails, Jack, Miko, and Raf. Miko then took a picture of the spymaster, who also took a picture of them. He then transformed and flew off.
Sonic: Why is he flying away?
Miko: Well, you did busted him with your dark form. He was probably scared of you.
Tails: Um, guys, I don't think it matters now...
Sonic, Jack, and Miko didn't know what the two-tailed fox was talking about, until Tails and Raf showed them the destroyed half-sliced cord where the axe had cut.
Raf: He cut the hard-line. The dishes are locked on to Cybertron… for good.
Autobot Base
Sonic, Tails, and the kids was really bummed to have come back to base, failing to prevent the Decepticons from locking on to Cybertron. They debriefed Ratchet on what happened, and to their surprise, the medic didn't scold them for their failure. After all, they were going against one of the most dangerous 'Cons in history behind Megatron.
But on the positive side, they did return with schematics for the spacebridge, and it turned out that they did indeed come into vital play. After the spacebridge had activated, and billions of Dark Energon signatures were detectable inside the vortex, Optimus made the call to destroy the spacebridge. Thanks in part to the design specs they acquired; Ratchet was able to discover a means of sabotaging the spacebridge. Optimus then battled his former friend/rival, while distracted him so his comrades can stop the bridge.
As Ratchet instructed Arcee, 'Bee, Cliff and Bulk on what to do, they others decided to wait so the medic can bring the Autobots back to base. Tails and Raf went back to the computer stations up on the platforms, where they were greeted by a groggy Agent Fowler who just woke up from his slumber.
"Now follow the line from the Energon regulator to the Energon pump, there should be a valve" Ratchet inculcated from the terminal.
"I see it." Arcee replied over the com-links.
"Good. To turn all the power against itself, all you need do is reverse the current".
"Argh…argh…uh…current reversed."
"Yes!" Fowler shouted, causing Tails and Raf to look at him weirdly. The agent then turned to them and asked, "Right?"
Ratchet: I'll ready the groundbridge.
Before the medic could do so, Sonic and Tails walked to him
Tails: Sorry, we couldn't stop the 'Cons from locking on to your home planet.
Sonic: I should have finished that 'con off while I was in my dark form.
The medic shuddered, remembering that Miko showed him a picture of Dark Sonic standing on Soundwave, intended to crush him. He then wrap that out of his memory and sighed.
Ratchet: It is alright. I mean, you were going up against Soundwave, who is no pushover. But you did well, after all, if you five hadn't acquired those spacebridge schematics we would have an army of undead Cybertronian warriors attacking the Earth right now.
Tails: Thanks.
Sonic: Yeah... Although, I still think the idea of zombie robots is pretty awesome.
Ratchet then activated the bridge, causing the tunnel to light up in a swirling green and white vortex. A moment passed and nothing came through. That was when worry and dread began to swipe across the command centre.
Tails: It can't be...
Raf: Do you think they're...?
Ratchet checked a screen attached to his right forearm.
Ratchet: Five life signals... one very faint.
Right on cue, the giant red and blue form of Optimus Prime stepped out of the portal. Signs of battle were noticeable as scars and dents covered his armour. Once he stepped aside, Bulkhead emerged next; not as many scratches on him as Optimus, but they still existed on his armour. The next was Bumblebee. Then last, but not least, Cliffjumper walked inside, while carrying Arcee. Jack saw this and went towards her. The others felt sadness and sorrow, hoping that Arcee wouldn't die.
Ratchet: We lost one already this week. By the All-Spark don't let it be two.
Jack stepped forward and placed his hand on her large, metal one. Instantly, Arcee's cerulean optics slowly opened.
Jack: Arcee...
Arcee weakly smiles at the teenager.
Arcee: Jack... really? There are other motorcycles in the world.
Jack: But… you're my first.
Seeing that Arcee was okay, Ratchet turned his helm to Optimus.
Ratchet: And Megatron?
Optimus: Not even he could've survived ground zero.
That was when Fowler's voice caught everyone's attention.
Fowler: Prime!
The agent man was straightening up his blue dress jacket as he stepped in front of the elevator.
Fowler: I didn't get a chance to thank you 'Bots, you kids and your… talking animal friends for the save.
After waking up, Sonic and Tails had explained to Fowler of their origins, powers, and how they met the Autobots. Fowler's face when he witnessed Sonic transformed into Dark Sonic was priceless. Luckily, he calmed down when the dark-powered hedgehog revert back to normal. Tails then showed him his plane, told him how he built and drove it. Fowler had to admit, for a little two-tailed fox, he knew how to build and drive. Finally, when Fowler asked how Sonic transformed into his dark form, Sonic showed him the Chaos Emeralds, while explained that he can also transform into other forms. He even told the agent that Tails and the others back in their world can do the same thing.
Lastly, the blue hedgehog and the yellow two-tailed fox told and explained to the agent that they have been into a human world before and met new human friends there. Fowler was surprised hearing that, but once Sonic and Tails explained how, he nodded.
To say Fowler was stunned was an understatement. However, the agent eventually soaked up the unprecedented information and accepted it for what it is. It was a little more challenging to accept than the idea of transforming robots from another planet, but Fowler knew he would adapt over time.
Fowler: I owe you guys one... the whole world does.
He then left the Autobot base.
Cliffjumper set Arcee on her feet as the femme began to regain her composure. She stood up and smiled down at Jack. The teen simply smiled in return, relieved and happy that she would be okay. Sonic and Tails also smiled at the autobots and the human children.
Sonic and Miko then approaches Optimus, both thinking different, but similar things.
Miko: So, is this the part where you say goodbye and tell us we forget we ever saw you?
Sonic: And what's going to happen to me and Tails?
Optimus gazed down at the human trio and the mobian duo with a thoughtful expression.
Over five days had passed since the Autobots defeated Megatron, 'Con activity around the world had decreased as a result. However, when Sonic and Tails came in the picture, there was going to be some changes.
When Fowler told the government the arrival of Sonic and Tails, they were freaked out at first, until the agent assured them that they were on the good side. He also told them what the duo told him.
After that, the government allowed to remain at Autobot Outpost, considering that their abilities may prove useful for Autobot missions and as another line of defense if and when the need arises. They also told the duo to don't reveal themselves to the public, unless if it's for a good reason.
Right now, Jack, Raf, and Miko were walking out of Jasper High, backpacks slung over their shoulders. They look at the parking lot and smile when they see Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Arcee waiting for them.
In other area, Cliffjumper was driving the street, while Tails was flying his plane, with Sonic on the wing on it.
Team Prime and Team Sonic exited the school parking lot and headed down the road that led to their base.
Over thirty miles away, standing atop of Autobot Outpost was the massive form of Optimus Prime, glancing up at the mid-evening sky.
Optimus: Without a means of leaving this world, we autobots Take Strength in the bonds we have forged with our five young, gifted friends, true warriors, two in body, three in spirit.
Sonic then jumped off of Tails' plane and ran next to Cliffjumper.
Optimus: My name is Optimus Prime, and I send this message, though we did not choose to be of Earth, it would seem we are here to stay. If you approach this planet with hostile intent, know this...
Sonic then ran past Cliffjumper, went next to 'Cee, giving Jack a hi-five. Sonic then waved at Miko, Bulkhead, Raf, and Bumblebee.
Optimus: We will defend ourselves, we will defend humanity, we will defend… our home.
Sonic then ran past them all and jump into the air, striking a pose.
Aftermath
The Nemesis
Soaring high above in Earth's outer atmosphere was the Nemesis. Standing in the bridge, Starscream looked down upon the blue planet with a sadistic, triumphant grin on his face. Megatron was dead at last! He was now the leader of the Decepticons! His dream had now become reality.
The seeker was already making plans in retaliating against the Autobots. Though in hindsight, he was simply doing it to gain the respect and loyalty of the other Decepticons. For Soundwave, that may be close to impossible, for the Vehicons it was achievable.
Speaking of the spymaster, Soundwave walked into the room and proceeded towards Starscream. Knowing that he was approaching, Starscream turned to face him, and was shocked to see the 'Cons body was littered with scrapes and dents. The Decepticon leader also took notice of his severed right servo (that had stopped leaking Energon.)
While Starscream may not care about Soundwave that much, he needed him to trust him and for the Decepticon cause.
Starscream: S-S-Soundwave?! What happened to you?!
Soundwave didn't say anything, but only showed him an image. The slim seeker stepped forward and studied the picture attentively. What he saw confused him and shocked him to an extent.
In the picture was a blue hedgehog and a yellow two-tailed fox with three children.
Starscream: What the?! I-I haven't seen these creatures before!
Soundwave then showed him other image. When the decepticon leader looked at it closely, he saw a dark hedgehog. Piecing the blue one and the dark one together and looking at Soundwave's injuries, he realized what had happen.
Starscream: T-That blue creature turn into a dark monster?! And he did this to you?!
Soundwave nodded at Starscream. The seeker then narrowed his eyes and sneered at the picture
Starscream: It would seem that the Autobots are not our only enemy now. Whoever these… creatures are… they are indeed a notable threat to our cause if they were capable of inflicting these injuries upon you. With that said, it is paramount that we learn all we can about these beings; so that we may better understand them, how to fight them, and how to… ultimately… destroy them.
And that's the last part of the Darkness Rising series! I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I wanted Sonic and Tails to go to space with the autobots, but then I scrapped that out of the story. However, I hope a sence of Sonic/Dark Sonic and Tails vs. Soundwave makes up for it.
For those who has questions like: Will Sonic, Tails, and the others reveal themselves to the public? Will more sonic characters show up? How will the heroes return home? Will there be new forms? How will Eggman get to the TF: Prime universe? All the questions will be answered as they story progresses. Btw, if you guys have any ideas, pm them to me and they may be added to the story.
