Chapter 20: Spilled Blood, Part 1.

The thrill of an atrocity.

-(Vale's Stock Exchange Building; Downtown, Vale City)-

(Ammit's POV)

7:19 AM…

Six days have passed since I was given a leadership position by Ulysses on tracking and taking down Wyvern. With the amount of manpower and resources given to the entire team, it was clear that Ulysses and the White Fang really wanted to get rid of the rat I've been trying to catch for years.

My three accomplices and I were inside the back of a van with a driver and two passengers in the front, who were armed with heavy ballistic vests and strapped with weapons. This was a part of my plan as they will serve as a diversion from both the outside and inside of the Vale Stock Exchange Building, our intended target. Our objective from Ulysses is to gather as much information and try to obstruct the Kingdom's stock market that could influence the Drahënese or Atlasian military's assistance of Vale. If there is any money being held in the building, we must collect it too. Casualties are expected. But not heavy, according to Denae, Ulysses' assistant.

Or so she thought…

The driver stopped at the security blockade that led into the parking garage. Fortunately for us, the current guard on duty were cells for the White Fang that were inserted a couple of months ago. Right on schedule.

"Alright, fellas. We're coming up on your drop point. Be ready." The passenger said as he kept scanning the parking lot, which was vacant of people yet at full capacity. "It's gonna be a full house."

"Perfect. Just what I needed." I smiled eagerly as Basilisk opened the back to allow the three of us to get out. "Have fun out there, you two."

"Riiiight. Don't take too long."

As we headed towards the elevators, the van drove away immediately as soon as I pushed the button to one of them. Basilisk, carrying two large cases, began to set them down and open them. Inside contained four firearms, with one of them being a drum fed mag LMG as Basilisk called dibs on taking it. As Asag and Vapula grabbed their own, I decided to not grab the last rifle as I was more than confident finishing this without weapons issued by Ulysses. Instead, I took out a wand I kept from my chest pocket underneath the cloak.

"You're not gonna use one?" Asag asked while he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Please. I don't need a firearm to do my job. Even if that means I have to put down others." I winked while twirling my wand.

Vapula's grin widened as he took the spare rifle I was supposed to use. "May I?"

"Of course, Vap. I did promise you to have some fun, after all."

"Ammit. This is Ahriman." My radio relayed.

"Go ahead." I answered back quickly.

"All teams armed and ready in position outside. Do what you have to do with Cinder, and we'll make sure no law enforcement intervenes." Ahriman said.

"Very good. Any word from Adam?"

Ahriman sighed and replied, "None at all. His radio decides to not function properly in the most important of times, hmm?"

"There's no need to worry about it. We all have our orders, and he'll secure us an extraction. It's not like he'll be supporting us directly."

"True. He probably would've been a liability anyway." Ahriman chortled. "All that aside, your driver notified me that you're near the elevators already. He will regroup with me to provide additional support."

"Perfect. If things go south, cause as much chaos as possible. That'll buy us even more time while we finish our work." I replied while stepping forward towards the elevator doors as it opened. All of us went inside as Basilisk pushed the button to the floor we are to be sent to. "You know the drill. No life has an exception." I added.

Translation: Kill anybody. Civilians included if they intervene to assist the police.

"Of course. Godspeed." Ahriman wished before unlinking from the current channel.

"So, what's the plan now?" Vapula asked while eagerly pulling the charging handle on both of his rifles, putting a round to the chamber on each.

"The plan remains the same. Follow my lead." I replied while raising my wand towards the elevator door, ready to cause a scene.

As soon as the doors slid open, one security guard. Then, a cloud of red mist the moment I shot a beam of energy out of my wand to "neutralize" him.

"Lock it down." I said over the radio while slowly walking forward while my three accomplices moved past me to fire shots all over the main room.

As the crowd of people inside the main atrium started to panic amidst the gunfire, the entire building was put on lockdown as some agents inside of the building with us had complete control of the security measures, all thanks to our cells on duty. With the gates locking down the windows and doors, all civilians trying to escape had no choice as they raised their arms while surrendering to the only four men endangering their lives. Too easy instead of relying on a couple squads.

Unfortunately for them, some of the shots didn't always land on nothing. A handful of wounded and dead are already reported as Basilisk notified me as soon as Vapula and Asag contained the hostages. It didn't matter to me, nor did it matter for the White Fang. Deaths are always inevitable when it comes to making an example for their cause. But more will spill for mine.

"Basilisk. Start prepping the other case." I ordered as he gladly began to get to work going around the atrium doing his "work".

One of the doors inside the atrium suddenly opened as another White Fang team spilled out, which was actually a maintenance way that was used by Venomous Agents to infiltrate inside the building. Originally, this team was to be used to assist us in crowd control. But since Vapula and Asag have that covered much more effectively, they focused their attention on one of the security members that were caught off guard before they could intervene.

"White Fang freaks! What the hell are you guys doing?!" The guard growled as he kept his hands on his head.

"What we're going to be doing is quite simple. Just do what we say, and maybe there's a chance you'll return back to your families alive." The leader of the White Fang squad from the maintenance hall threatened as he pointed the barrel of his rifle on his forehead. He turned his head to me and said, "Ammit. Cinder is already upstairs with her team."

I nodded and went to my radio to contact her to verify. "Cinder. Location."

"Fourth floor. Already securing as much intel as we can." Cinder replied. "Might take a while, considering how much they have on each deck."

"Just take whichever you think sounds more important." The WF squad leader said while pushing the security guard down on the floor. "Hey! You work here, right? Any chance you know where any of the funds are stored here? And maybe any sort of important information?"

"Buddy, I'm just a security guard. Not a manager or executive of this building." The guard clicked his tongue.

"Yeah? And you'll be a dead one soon enough if you're hiding something."

"Then maybe you have no use for us after all." I shook my head. "Kill him."

"W-Wait! Just hold on a second! What exactly do you want from here?!"

"Any funds being kept in this building? I know it's just a stock exchange. But sometimes you'll never know." The WF squad leader asked while lowering his barrel down to the guard's back.

"There's a vault on the third floor, west wing. Not the score you'd expect to get from a bank, but there's a good amount." He answered. "I don't have the access code though."

"We don't need one." I shook my head and contacted Cinder once again. "Update. There's a vault on the third floor's western wing. No code acquired. So, it seems like brute force is one of the options you have."

"Got it. I'm sure Mercury can get that done with his legs." Cinder responded back.

"Can't guarantee it. But I'll give it a try. If not, maybe Emerald can nag the security locks to death." Mercury joked.

"Shut the hell up." Emerald clicked her tongue.

Before I could respond, I felt Basilisk tap my shoulders and gave me a nod as a sign that what he set up was accomplished. Calmly, I stepped back away from the White Fang team and the hostages with him by my side. Then, Vapula and Asag did the same as all of them began to ensure they were fully loaded with rounds. As for me, I raised my wand up to my face and watched as the security guard looked at me.

"What're you guys doing…?" He asked.

"Sir?" The WF squad leader called out for my team's formation.

"Look, if you want money or any stock information from our clients, you're going to have to-"

"Money? Stock info? We're not here for any of those." Asag tilted his head and smiled down at the security guard.

"The hell you are talking about?" One of the White Fang gunmen asked as he kept the hostages down.

Basilisk chortled and raised a detonator from his left hand. "Let us show you instead." He said before pressing the button.

*BOOM!*

The violent eruption of multiple explosive devices echoed across the atrium with the shrapnel they contained. Followed by the sound of gunfire created by Basilisk, Vapula, and Asag as they began to spray their bullets across the entire groups of hostages. Including the White Fang squad that was deployed to assist us in hostage control. One by one, all lives were taken violently as the maniacal laughter of Vapula started to echo with the harsh noises of an atrocity being committed by us.

All while under the protection of my wand, which created a spherical shielding to protect us from any of the shrapnel and debris or possible return fire from the White Fang team. But the latter was no longer a concern as Basilisk had already gunned them down.

After it was finished, all that remained was the smoke of their guns along with the dust and debris from both the interior structure and decor from across the atrium. Followed by the pools of blood underneath the pile of dead bodies as the dust began to settle. The sound of police sirens and gunfire began to erupt from the outside as I knew the White Fang soldiers outside began to encounter resistance the moment we killed the silence.

"Good. More bodies for the taking." I smiled as Vapula wickedly giggled. "You'll have your turn too, in the meantime."

"Thank you. However, you should do your thing." Vapula recommended as he was reloading his weapons like Basilisk and Asag.

And so, I did just that. Twirling my wand around for a few seconds, clouds of energy began to rise from the corpses as they followed the gesture of my hand, encircling all of us.

I removed my hood and inhaled deeply, feeling my heart throb even more harshly. It was painful for the first few seconds. But it was followed by a very relieving sensation as soon as clouds of energy began to gather around me alone, constantly originating from the dead bodies of the White Fang and civilians that were killed from the bombing along with Basilisk, Asag, and Vapula finishing them off. Inhaling deeply for a second time, I swallowed the flow of clouds as the amount of energy felt invigorating! The moment it was all consumed, I desired more. But there was more to gather in the meantime.

Basilisk chuckled and loaded a new box magazine into the LMG he held. "Put those souls to good use, Ammit."

"Of course I will. But we're going to need more." I told him while enjoying the blissful feeling of absorption.

"No need to worry about that. Body counts are going to increase outside too." Vapula said while the sound of intense gunfire was heard outside of the building.

Asag nodded. "But first, how about we handle the rest of the interior for any survivors?"

"Agreed. Find and kill every one of them."

"Ammit! What the hell is going on down there?!" Cinder called for me over the radio. "Emerald, Mercury, secure whatever documents you can find!"

"This is Ammit. Things are not looking too hot. Gather whatever you could catch for the next five minutes. We'll hold off any adversaries down here if any of them pass Ahriman's group." I replied.

"You can't be serious!" Cinder growled in frustration. "Fine! Pick up the pace! We have only five!" She yelled at her team.

I hung up from linking with the radio and turned over to my three accomplices. "I almost forgot about those three." I admitted with a small chuckle.

"What should we do with them?" Asag asked.

"Kill 'em." I declared without hesitating. "I'll deal with the rest of the survivors on this floor. Again, you find any, take care of them while you're at it."

"At once." Asag nodded as if he had no objections to killing his own allies.

Basilisk sighed happily and grinned. "Good. You have no idea how much I want to put that legless little shit down."

Vapula stepped in and nodded. "Let's not keep them waiting for their fate."

I bowed and switched my wand into a pistol with the newly acquired energy I consumed. "Best of luck, gentlemen. I've always expected the three of you to be unhinged with your actions. Show me again."

As soon as the three of them ran towards the only set of stairs in the atrium, I went over in the opposite direction to take a look outside of the Stock Exchange building from the window. The mayhem going on was a lot more intense than I anticipated. Civilians were already in a panic as law enforcement and White Fang soldiers led by Ahriman were fighting, with the innocents running into the crossfire to be shot and killed. Evacuation was still being handled, but messily due to the chaotic mess. This was all going perfectly.

Heading back towards the elevator, I decided to look for more survivors in the parking garage one floor down while the rest of the above floors were handled by my men. Once I stepped into the elevator, the sounds of gunfire and the few explosions from outside were suppressed by the doors closing. However, the peaceful moment was only brief as the elevators opened to reveal a man waiting for its arrival in the parking garage floor. He was in his military uniform without his harness and protective gear, only holding a pistol on his holster and a few mags on the opposite side of it. Even though he didn't see me holding my wand in its pistol form, he remained calm but was clearly suspicious at my presence.

"Sir? What are you doing here?" The soldier asked while folding his arms.

Letting out a small chuckle, I waved my free hand and gave a relieved looking smile. "I'm glad you're here, sir. I was on the fourth floor before everything went chaotic and came down to find help."

"Fourth floor? Do you work here?" The soldier asked.

"Why, yes I do, Mister…"

"Corporal Riley." He answered. "Now then, if you work here, are you aware the fourth floor is restricted to even the employees of this building?"

"Is that so…?"

"Yes. Only executive members and a few others are allowed up there." Corporal Riley glared as he stepped back while slipping his hand down to his pistol. "Not to mention, the elevator said you were on the main level before you headed down. Not the fourth one."

"I suppose there's no use trying to keep it hidden any longer."

I drew my pistol but was immediately outmatched when the soldier drew his first, firing a few shots at me. My body took the bullets, but I had enough resilience and stamina to leap forward to try and get out of the elevator and disarm him before more could be fired. We both fired at each other dangerously close while trying to redirect our weapons away. I headbutted him, which weakened his grip from the firearm. I threw it away and aimed for the kill shot. Unfortunately, he still had some fight in him as he kneed my stomach and sent a harsh punch to my face before throwing me onto the road of the garage.

"Hands up! Now!" He shouted after grabbing a hold of the pistol I threw.

At this moment, I was a bit disorientated and decided to fall back behind cover before he could take advantage of the situation. It's embarrassing that I was temporarily outmatched by a mere soldier. But I think my warmup was done. "Time to have some fun. Let's see how long you can survive with your training" I taunted.

"Hands up! Or you're gonna get sh-"

I shattered the glass to one of the car windows and switched my wand back to its original form. Using its capabilities, I used the shattered glass to be lifted and sent the pieces to him. Corporal Riley didn't see this coming, as he didn't evade in time. He didn't expect to face an adversary like this due to his military training mostly focusing on countering either Grimm or enemies that didn't have abilities at this sort of level. The sound of his grunts was heard from behind the corner, which was a clear sign he was wounded. But before I could approach him, his pistol peeked out and began to blindly fire at me. To which I used my wand to create a shield of energy. While firing, he ran to the cars and mantled over them in order to have me lose sight of him.

"Hiding. Are you really going to play this game?" I scoffed while walking towards the spot where I last saw him.

The entire garage floor was dead silent with the occasional explosions happening in the street. But I could easily sense the presence of the soldier due to the intensity of his aura, still yet to be unlocked and used against me. I continued to hunt for my prey for a bit before I suddenly detected his voice from behind a tinted out car.

"This is Corporal Riley! I'm pinned down and need assistance on the east side of the Stock Exchange! Any units available?!" He whispered.

The poor soldier didn't receive any sort of response as I continued to stalk him from behind the cars. I knew there was nobody coming to assist him, since the White Fang gunmen outside were handling any police or military responses from intervening. So, I leaped out from behind the car closest to him. But then I saw one of the rear-view mirrors had a reflection that would clearly give my position away. And that's what he did.

And this time, he was more properly armed due to what was inside the trunk that was opened.

Corporal Riley turned and fired his rifle at me, striking me in the chest twice as I rolled on the floor and took cover behind a car once again. "Come out with your hands up, or I'll keep shooting!"

"Acting so tough when you're this shaken over the lives that don't matter to you. Pathetic." I taunted him while ripping out a car door and charged towards him. He fired at me, but the door withstood the bullets well enough for me to reach and forcefully push him.

Riley was sent flying to the other side of the parking garage as the exit ramp to the back of the building was his only way out. Since he lacked any sort of specializations of a Huntsman or any sort of fighter on my level, he was disorientated and in pain as he crawled, then ran up the ramp. He fired back at me as I continued to use the car door to shield myself from his bullets. Since he was a military soldier of Vale, he is considered dangerous more than a police officer due to his training and gear. But not enough to subdue me. More of a nuisance.

I tossed the car door down and ran up to pursue him the moment he stopped shooting. Supposedly to reload his rifle. "Fighting back is fruitless. I'll give you this rare opportunity to run so I can spare you."

"I'm no coward." He shouted while firing more shots at me, where I successfully leaped to cover in time.

"Indeed. But more of a fool." I called him before drawing out my wand and forming it into polearm. "If you insist on ceasing your arm, then allow me to put it down myself."

The moment he fired his shots at me, I twirled my polearm and easily predicted his shots where I was able to deflect his bullets. All while I charged towards him. However, I got a bit too cocky as he suddenly pulled out a grenade and tossed it over to me; hot and ready to detonate while he leaped for cover behind a concrete barricade. It was deflected away from me. But not quickly enough to receive some shrapnel and get blinded by the blast and smoke temporarily. That was when I felt the butt of his rifle impact my skull as it sent me down to the ground. Disorientated, I blindly swiped my polearm across anywhere in front of me, which hit him.

As the soldier grunted and stood back up on his feet, he continued to fire at me despite his injuries. "It's going to take more than that to put me down."

"Persistent little insect." I growled frustratingly while ignoring the cuts and scrapes from the recent attacks and continued to deflect his shots with my weapons. But the moment I received a hit on my shoulder, I held my howl from the pain and changed my weapon into a shield. My wound would "heal", but I was temporarily unable to use my polearm both on the offensive and defensive.

The sound of Corporal Riley's spare grenade was heard being thrown close to me. I prepared myself for the upcoming blast. However, there was suddenly another person in front of me with a huge sword that was able to throw the grenade back at him. The volley of gunfire coming from Riley echoed across the area as the man protecting me used his blade, which was thick enough to protect himself. And in a panic, Riley tossed the grenade in any direction, but was unable to toss it away in time, receiving some shrapnel. The grenade hit one of the smaller pillars of the building enough to have it collapse with just one more impact. And the man took advantage of that by charging towards the wounded soldier and tossed him to the pillar, knocking it down and having some of the debris fall on him. Not killing him. But trapping him.

With the sword and cape being the only thing I could recognize under my disorientated state, I could already tell it was Ahriman. Having some wounds mostly of burns.

"Thank you, Ahriman." I sighed in relief as I looked down at Corporal Riley, unconscious from Ahriman's takedown while he was pinned by the debris.

"Forget about that. What the hell happened?!" Ahriman asked me, clearly aggravated. "My men are fighting back as many cops as we can. It's only a matter of time before the rest of Vale's Military arrives!"

"Status on the civilians?"

"A lot got caught in the crossfire. No doubt many lost their lives." He replied and asked, "What about you? Why were there explosives inside the Stock Exchange Building?"

I shrugged my shoulders while keeping in the reason to myself. "I'm going to have to ask Adam about that. You still got contact with him?"

"No. His radio has still gone dark." He shook his head. "Listen. Your men are still inside the building with Cinder and the other two, correct? Try to reach Adam and make sure he's okay. For all we know, he could be compromised."

"What about you and your men?"

Ahriman gave a small smile and shook his head. "We got this. Now I advise you to be quick for your search."

"Of course. See you at the extraction."

And just like that, both of us split before I hopped over the security wall to head north. With the amount of chaos happening, it was advantage for me to blend in with the panicking crowd while the arriving police forces tried to ascertain and deescalate the situation. All I focused on was to keep heading north near the river and cliffside of the Forever Fall Forest, where our extraction was to be held. And where Adam would be during the last phase of this mission. He shouldn't be accompanied by any other White Fang soldiers or Venom agents, which will make things easier for me. No witnesses or any other nuisances to get in my way.

When I arrived on the cliffside furthest away from the city while it still remained in view, I saw Adam. Remaining stiff while just hopelessly watching the building create a thick black cloud of smoke as a sign of its chaos spreading across the district. It was a beautiful sight for me to enjoy quietly behind him. But when he finally sensed my presence, he turned around calmly before his expression slowly started to tense up from behind his mask.

"You…!" Adam growled as he raised his blade at me, lit up with anger and grief after the sight.

Such a pitiful sight.

I rolled my eyes and carelessly ignored the chaos downtown. "Is there something wrong, Taurus?"

"You told me there wasn't going to be too much bloodshed in this operation! Not to mention of OUR OWN SOLDIERS TOO!"

"Those fools know their worth of being expendable. Do you really need to act like you care about them?"

Adam clicked his tongue and unsheathed his sword. "Unlike you, I care about my soldiers."

"Would you say the same for the others you've left behind in the capital of the Drahën Empire?" I scoffed and shook my head, clearly not intimidated by his blade. "Who are you to think you're a noble freedom fighter who only hides behind a mask while taking advantage of the weakest hearts and minds of your kind? All while they do the dirty work, and you get all the power and credit you envied during your lowest point, instead of them." I laughed and raised my wand. "Don't humor me any further, Taurus."

"You don't know me one bit! The hell do you think you are trying to lecture me?!" Adam roared.

"I understand everything you feel. Greed. Revenge. Pride. Not only they're sinful." I formed a sword from my wand and grinned, knowing how this would have to go. "They're going to be your downfall."

Adam scoffed and tilted his head to ask, "Is that a threat? Because I prefer action instead of words. That is, unless you don't want to get in trouble for this."

"Simply, you won't be alive to tell Ulysses anything." I smashed the final nail in the coffin by charging towards Adam quickly.

He blocked my attack and gritted his teeth while letting out a snarl. "Treason will not be tolerated, Ammit!"

"It's not really treason if I never believed in your cause or trusted you in the first place." I told him while countering his block by sliding my leg to knock him off.

But he saw this coming as he used his blade to balance himself off his feet and spun around to send a kick to keep me from a distance between us. However, his attack didn't affect me as I just stretched my shoulders while giving him a small smile.

"Your move, Adam. Are you really going to keep me waiting?" I taunted while putting myself in a defensive stance.

With that invitation, Adam charged and dashed from side to side in an attempt to aim for an open spot where I was unable to deflect his attacks. Unfortunately for him, all it took was my enhanced aura by the consumption earlier to track his movements and block his attacks. Upon striking distances, I deflected his sword and retaliated with a barrage of swings and kicks all while moving forward to back him into a corner to the wall of trees. Taking the option I pushed upon him, he jumped to the tree branches and retreated to try and have me lose sight of him. So, I pursued him while jumping to a more greater height above the trees to try and have a bird's eye view.

Adam's aura was easily detectable even through the trees. However, that would potentially mean he would easily detect mine as well. So it was decided to keep my distance for now until I had visual of him. Then, charge across the gap to surprise him with an attack. And that's just what happened the moment he was seen leaping across a small opening near the cliffside east facing Beacon. Swooping down at him, he reacted to my approach. But didn't properly deflect in time as he was sent down to the ground harshly.

He grunted and went back up on his feet. "Tell me. Why are you doing all of this? To me?"

"I'll just tell you this. Humanity doesn't deserve to determine the fate of Remnant. Even you faunus." I answered without elaborating even further. So, I kept up on the offensive and sent an unrelenting wave of attacks while keeping up with my striking power.

It was all good in effect as Adam started off well with remaining on the defensive before slowly deteriorating with my speed and strength. All while trying to move around the forest to try and find any disadvantage against me. But it wasn't enough. I sent a swift slash down to his abdomen after he deflected my first attack, and I snaked my way to his side fast enough to surprise him. He roared in pain as he leaped away before collapsing on his knees.

Adam applied pressure to his wound as it was dangerously oozing a good amount of blood as it landed on the grass, matching the red of the nearby bushes and leaves of the trees. "Bastard…!"

I shook my head and switched my sword into a battle-axe to create a much more heavier weapon against his blade. Something strong enough to break his defenses. "Seems like fate favors me again."

"I've had just about enough of you!" Adam contained himself briefly before charging straight towards me.

Foolish move.

My battle-axe easily absorbed the impact when I blocked his strike. But with the other upcoming attacks, I had to sidestep and roll around to dodge due to the weight of my current weapon. But it wasn't going to last long as I kept waiting for a powerful strike he would eventually do. Our fight proceeded near the cliffside as Adam kept ruthlessly attacking while trying to ignore his laceration. My offensive swings were kept at a minimum, since it would put me at a disadvantage. But I made sure to send some in to exhaust him with a few parries while wounded.

"DIE!" Adam roared after deflecting my axe down to the ground and raising it to strike me down.

But I was quick enough to raise it back up and….

*CLANG!*

Then, Adam's sword shattered in pieces as my battle-axe pushed through and hit his mask, also shattering it to pieces as the fragments even reached his eyes. I know this because as soon as he landed on the ground, blood trickled down his cheeks as he screamed in agony while covering his eyes. Not taking any chances, I charged towards him and struck my axe down to his stomach. It was messy as his lower abdomen was now contorted by my strike.

"It was all inevitable. But I appreciate a good fight." I sighed and gripped the handle of the axe tightly to switch it back to my original wand.

"Y-You'll pay for th-this…" Adam panted and coughed as the blood was slowly reaching out of his mouth.

"I've already paid the toll way before this." I sighed and grabbed his neck to lift him up. Approaching the cliffside where another flat level was below with a cave system, I twirled my wand at the cave as a pack of Beowolves came out, eyeing my trusty tool. But the moment they looked into my eyes, they bowed their heads and calmly approached near the edge from below.

Adam, although morbidly wounded and partially blind, he noticed this sort of behavior and asked, "Who are you…? A-And…*cough*…why….."

"A new age awaits Remnant. But I'll at least spare you to witness all of it alive." I grinned as I loosened my grip on his neck. Then, I let go of him as he fell victim to the crowd of Beowolves awaiting to tear him apart. Due to his eyes being obliterated by me, he was blind and left defenseless.

There was no need for details on the savagery I've witnessed as Adam's scream erupted before fading into silence.

One less dog to worry about now.

Lastly, I know it's a bit early, but~…Merry Christmas! Have a good one, folks! Here's hoping for a tolerable 2025!
