Hey! RGQC here and it's good to be back posting another chapter after what I left off, which is quite a while, but HOLY! Lucia got a new frame at last in the CN servers, and she's beautiful! Like genuinely she looks so cool and even more, she confesses to the Commandant! Yay!
Cough… Apologise for gushing like a schoolgirl, but damn, seeing that scene got me squeeing. Like finally she admits her love due to some… stuff happening. Anywho, we then have Viz Media officially acquiring the rights of RWBY! So, that's good! Now I only wonder what they're going to do with it now?
Besides, we got comments to address before we continue where I left off!
DragonL0RD: What, Lucia's semblance, huh? Well… I do have some ideas, but I'm going to say nothing for now because I have plans to make… And as for Lucia, Penny, Luna and Liv forming a team? Perhaps in their covert ops' mission, but each of them is already powerful by themselves. Together? They'll crush everyone without trying, and besides, Ironwood wishes to keep Lucia incognito as long as possible.
So, joining the festival is an unwise decision. Not like that would stop Lucia from doing her primary objective.
SolSparda36: Won't lie, took me a while to get the joke, but now that I got it, I couldn't help but burst out laughing! How did I not see the reference at all! This is hilarious to imagine Racher doing that. Yeah, Coco will LOVE Luna's outfit, I mean, have you seen her coating? She's so beautiful in it.
Nitpicker420: Oh, I won't worry about that, in a few chapters they'll realise they are sisters… Oh, trust me and just be patient with me, kay?
Blast niro: Did you seriously just read like two chapters and just left after nitpicking on my choice to have Lucia show more emotions in chapter 2? And I get the grammar but… Okay… The suppressor can be activated and deactivated like a switch…
Cool…
Besides that, now that we're done with the comments from the last chapter, let's get this chapter on the road!
As always, I do not own RWBY, it belongs now to Viz Media nor own anything from Punishing Gray Raven under Kuro Games. Only the OCs in the story are of my creation.
"What are you planning, headmaster?" I internally wonder to myself as the headmaster of Beacon lead us with Luna and Liv following closely behind him, with the General not accompanying us due to his presence required with continued negotiations with the Valean Council as well as coordinating more Atlas forces into Vale.
It had been only a few minutes since we departed from his office and proceeded through the corridors of Beacon, with a clear direction towards the Amphitheatre. As per the year one schedule, it appears that we will be visiting students taking sparring lessons under Professor Goodwitch. I have a feeling the headmaster intends us to show our skills to his year of students. Though it will be a while before the students from the other Academies will come too, after the mid-year vacations.
Conveniently enough, the invasion of Racher and Merlot's lab will begin in that time frame. Data suggests that this is the case, with the General purposely setting this date as the time to strike. Indeed, I understand why he would mark the holiday period as the time we attack, with his intention to use Beacon as a headquarters to coordinate things from.
Sort of.
Besides that, as we continued walking through the hallway, Liv shyly asked behind me out loud, "Um… Headmaster, why are we going to the Amphitheatre?" My sister also slowly nods her head in agreement, while I chose to remain silent on her comment, since I know that Ozpin does certain things for a reason and I suspect he has plans for us.
Turning his head towards us without stopping, the headmaster explains. "Simple, Miss Idonia. I believe that Lucia and Luna here can provide some tips for my students here to improve on. After all, Lucia herself had taught team RWBY and JNPR privately before she left for Altas. She even helpfully provided me with an extensive report on their progress months back as well."
Fair enough, I supposed.
You know, if I didn't become a hiring manager in my old life, I would have chosen to become a teacher. It's… something I once upon a time dreamed of with my love of books and eagerness to spread them. But I figured that teaching was simply what I dreamed, not what was required.
Especially after my parents passed away in an accident…
"That is not all, is it?" My sister spoke beside me, and I already knew why she asked it. Even more when Ozpin gave an approving smile to my sister.
"Quite the perspective of you. Yes, there is more to my intentions for bringing you all to the Amphitheatre, Luna." He continues with a hum. "James and I believe that you all could do something here before you move on to your mission in the coming weeks rather than having you idling around, and I believe Miss Idonia can offer her assistance and knowledge to our infirmaries." Ozpin explains, and I couldn't help but agree.
The General was… less than pleased when he learned why Luna and I agreed to a spar, and nearly wrecked the training room in the process.
…
Okay, nearly is an understatement, since the whole area was on the brink of ruins because of the both of us.
"Understood." I heard my sister say out loud as the journey to the Amphitheatre became a quiet affair. Though, it did not quell the gossiping and subtle looks of curiosity we're getting from the various students walking through the hallways. Especially since Ozpin was leading us and students stopped occasionally to greet their headmaster or to question us, only to be stopped by Ozpin himself.
Though it took at least ten minutes and fifty-two seconds, we eventually reached our destination to see all the year one student's present there, including the exchange students from other Academies who came earlier like my sister, all sitting in their chairs above while watching as Jaune was going up against Blake on the stage. I'm proud of their progress. Hell, even Jaune's slowly improving when I gave him tips on using his shield as a weapon as well as using his intellect to help predict his opponents and act accordingly.
[Analysing…]
With the spar still ongoing and with no intention to interrupt it, I, alongside Headmaster Ozpin, my sister and Liv, silently watched as Jaune sent a slash towards his opponent, only for Blake to use her semblance to send out a clone to tank the hit as she leapt over Jaune while firing shots at him. Though I noticed that Jaune took several hits, he quickly recovered and swung his shield behind him just in time to block Blake thrusting Gambol Shroud at his exposed back.

[Confirmation of improvement for Jaune Arc by 5%.]
[Chance of victory against Alpha, Luna or Penny.]

Yikes, system.
I'm glad that Jaune improved, but is it necessary to always pit whoever I'm watching on their chances of beating me? Anyway, glancing to my right, I can see that my sister, as well as Liv, were busy watching the spar curiously. Well, Liv was, while my sister was clearly analysing both Jaune and Blake as they fought each other on stage. Furthermore, Ozpin was to my left and I can see him just waiting patiently for the spar to come to a close.
In fact, everyone else, including my little sister Penny, appeared to be so engrossed with the spar that none of them noticed us watching as well. Then again, the entire Amphitheatre is shrouded in darkness, excluding the stage. In fact, with night-vision filters active in my optics, I could see my little sister with her partner and two other teammates assigned I did not recognise in the slightest.
Eh… I actually never bother to know them, but I'm sure I can make time up for that.
Probably…
Maybe…
Eventually, Blake managed to outmanoeuvre and exploit Jaune's lack of mobility and lack of skill to her advantage and, in addition to performing hit-and-run tactics, she won the spar through attrition. Though it cannot be ignored that Jaune has improved much from his test against me weeks back and, in fact, I suspect that Pyrrha must have taken my advice for Jaune seriously and could have drilled it into his head when I left Beacon.
It wouldn't surprise me at all.
As the spar came to the end with Blake's blade close to Jaune's neck, everyone began to send a wave of applause towards them as the lights returned and conveniently exposed everyone that we're there watching and waiting patiently for the spar to end. In fact, Glynda herself looked genuinely surprised that her superior was there silently watching the spar with us in tow, judging from her tone.
"Professor Ozpin, I wasn't aware you'll be joining us with our guests." Yup… And I can already pick up gossip from everyone above, though bringing my attention to the rest of team RWBY and JNPR above. I see that all of them were clearly happy to see me again judging from the looks on their faces and even more, I can see my little sister ecstatically waving at me and Luna with everyone near her who don't know of our relationship clearly confused and curious about why she's waving at us.
With a small smile on my lips, I gave a single wave to my little sister. "This is a special occasion, Goodwitch. Is it alright with you if I take over the class attention for a moment?" He asks as Glynda nods her head silently as Ozpin brings his attention to everyone. "Now, students, I'm confident that many of you have met Lucia the last time she was here not too long ago. But she's back again today as a guest, and there are others from Atlas with her."
Ozpin says as he brings his attention to my sister and Liv. "Care to introduce yourself to everyone here?" He says as I glance at Luna who silently tilts her head at the headmaster, while Liv shyly glances at everyone above and to my sister. Eventually, Luna nodded her head after a period of what I could identify as pondering as she took a step forward and gave a formal bow.
"I am Luna, a pleasure to meet all of you, year-one students." She greets everyone, as I noticed that some of the boys in the class had blushes on their cheeks from my sister. I get that she's likely a goddess in terms of looks, but to be honest, this rubs me the wrong way. Especially from team CRDL.
Cardin especially, I think he's straight up smitten over my sister at first sight.
According to my calculations, at least.
[Detecting increase in Oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin hormones within Cardin Winchester's brain.]
[Increased likelihood that Student Cardin Winchester has an interest in Luna Laurel.]
[Theory: Just as with many other students and despite the change of her looks to a more appropriate choice, Luna's outfit has earned her some attention and admirers. It is unlikely that a relationship is possible due to Luna's blunt and dismissive personality towards strangers and her Construct nature.]
Ah, that's good.
Though I hope those people keep their attraction to my sister to themselves, I won't tolerate anyone trying to flirt with my sister within my sight. A trait I still retain back on Earth. When Sarah first told me that she had a boyfriend, I was… Overly protective, to say the least. Though, it was an understatement when Sarah officially introduced her boyfriend to me and I grilled hard about his intentions with my little sister.
After all, some have to ensure that, since mom or dad weren't any more to do that…
It took months of my sister convincing me and his efforts to prove his earnest intentions to my sister before I finally gave the approval of their relationship. Got to admit, he was determined to show that he only had good intentions with my sister. I got to respect him for that.
"And- And my name is Liv Idonia, it is nice to meet you all..." Liv adds in as she shyly did the same as Ozpin smiles and nods his head. Though, Liv's introduction did earn some attention from everyone and from their comments I picked up with my sensors, it appears that they're curious about how she's with me for some reason.
"Thank you for introducing yourself to everyone, Luna and Liv." Ozpin says as I, my sister and Liv silently watch as the headmaster turns his attention back to everyone. "Now, I believe their expertise in combat can prove beneficial for all of you to learn before the Vytal Festival begins, as I'm sure team RWBY and JNPR can attest to."
Did Ozpin just made me and Luna attachés to teach his students how to fight better?
As if proving my point, murmurs among the crowd grew more complex, and it appears that many are surprised that team RWBY and JNPR received special training/advice from us. More specifically me. I'm… not so sure how to feel about this. Even my sister wasn't sure how to feel about it when she sent a private transmission to me.
[Receiving transmission link from Luna Laurel.]
Without even butting an eye at my sister and instead focusing my attention on Ozpin continuing his explanation, I have to wonder. Was my improvement of team RWBY and JNPR so effective that Ozpin cannot ignore it and wishes me to share my combat expertise with everyone here? Even though we'll most likely leave Vale once the threat of Merlot and Racher are dealt with?
[Connection established.]
"Sister, do you wish to say something to me?" I utter my thoughts through our connection as my sister gives her reply.
"Affirmative. How does one teach others on how to perform battle in a fight?" Oh… Uhm… I did send a brief summary of what I did with team RWBY and JNPR, didn't I? Yes. I did. Then again, my sister doesn't have much experience outside the labs and Atlas as a whole, so I suppose I can see why she seeks some advice in something as complex as teaching hormonal students how to fight better.
"The experience of teaching others is complex. However, some tips can be shared to allow for efficient teaching and providing advice on self-improvement." I said before I begin to explain to my sister on how I taught team RWBY and JNPR to improve on their ability to fight. I won't lie, we cheated and used our ability to accelerate our thought process and communications and hence, I was able to give a thorough explanation before Ozpin called us a minute later.
"Luna, Lucia. Can one of you come forward onto the stage? I wish to test one of my students against you and see how they fare." You are aware that everyone in the room except, perhaps, you will stand not chance against Luna or me, right? Okay, not just you, to be honest. Can't forget about Pyrrha and her polarity semblance that could shred us into bits…
"I will." Luna? My optics glance at my sister as she steps forward and unsheathes the bronze sword she has on her hip. And just as she was upon seeing Benizakura for the first time, I pick up voicing her awe at how beautiful that sword was to look at. I should also mention that it wasn't shattered as it was back in Ozpin office, and that makes me suspect that Luna purposely had her sword shattered earlier as an aesthetic choice.
Seeing how my sister has volunteered herself, I watch as Ozpin nods his head as the brings himself back to his students above. "How about the rest of you? Who wishes to try your hand at Luna in a spar?" As I watched the crowd above, I could see more mutterings above, I can tell that almost everyone wanted to have a throw at my sister.
"I'll do it!"
Oh, my fucking God!
I couldn't believe it, but was one of the first to Cardin raise his hand before another student could! Hell! Even his own team and others near him were surprised by his eagerness to go against my sister.
Normally, I would pity whoever goes up against my sister since there's a hundred percent of her wiping the floor with them, but this is Cardin we're talking about! If it wasn't for the signs, he had a crush on her and being a stereotypical bully, I would have rubbed him off as irrelevant and not worth of attention. But now? My systems are predicting that he would try to use this spar as a way to woo my sister! Bastard's asking for a beating if he tries, and I'll likely wring his neck if he does it!
"Um Lucia? Are you alright?" I suddenly heard Liv calling out to me as I turned to face her.
"Is something wrong?"
"You've been giving a scary look towards someone in the crowd, and your hand on Benizakura is trembling. Is someone bothering you?" Oh… I must have been showing it, huh? Then again, Liv can detect that I'm pissed at something and furthermore, I did have my emotion suppressors disabled in attempts to behave more human in Beacon.
"It is nothing to be concerned about."
"Oh… Uhm… Okay…"
I'm glad you're not asking more about it, Liv. Thank you. Taking my attention away. Now, I can see as Ozpin giving Cardin the approval as that punk ass stood up. "Very well, Mr Winchester. Please retrieve your weapon and make your way down to the stadium." As for my sister, she simply began to make her way up to the stadium as Ozpin beckons us to follow him up to where everyone is sitting.
Actually… Perhaps this will be cathartic to seeing him get his ass whooped by my sister if he tries to flirt with her.
A few minutes later…
Once Cardin has retrieved his gear and finally arrived at his destination, Luna can be seen waiting for him, with everyone else watching above as Glynda presses a button before the Aura levels of Cardin and Luna are displayed for all to see. Even more was Lucia watching him like a hawk with little emotion on her face as he walks into the stadium.
"You know I've never met anyone like you but damn woman! You're gorgeous! How about you hang out with me and my team after this fight?" He says after resting his mace on his shoulder with a confident smile to go alongside it. To many watching what was going on, it was a surprise to see Cardin acting so… strange. Yet, his comments only earned the driest look from Luna as she gently brushes her hand over her sword.
It didn't help that Lucia's glare severely deepened and if looks could kill, Cardin would've been buried several meters in the ground and set ablaze for his audacity to FLIRT with her sister. Much to the interest and curiosity of Ozpin, and the utter concern of team RWBY and JNPR, who knew the relationship between Lucia and Luna the sheer aura of murder radiating from her.
"Speechless about me, eh? Then let me show you what I can do and if I win, you have to go on a date with me."
…
To everyone, Cardin's sudden proclamation rendered everyone in the Amphitheatre absolutely silent, with their jaws dropped at the sheer audacity except for Ozpin, Lucia and Liv. Though, they too were caught off guard at his directness and lack of shame when he flirts.
Even then, his flirt on Luna is terrible.
"Wow... for the first time in my life, I am at a loss for words..." Yang mutters out.
"Yeah… He just met her and… Ew…" Ruby gags slightly.
"That's what he chose to say? How strange…" Penny tilts her head before turning her head to see Lucia's unnaturally calm look, except that her right eye is twitching violently and there's this killing aura that appears to threaten to spill uncontrollably if it wasn't for her activating her emotion suppressors.
As for Luna, she continued giving Cardin an unimpressed look before Glynda spoke in the background once she snapped out of her surprise. "Now then, excluding that comment from Mr Winchester, you may begin once you are ready."
With the permission to start, Cardin immediately closes the distance and swung his weapon straight for Luna, with the roaring cheers in the background. Seeing Cardin's obviously predicable attack, Luna simply dodges underneath his attack and ends up behind him, as she then slams the pummel of her sword against Cardin's back and sends him tumbling forward.
"Charging in without a plan is inadvisable." Luna states her words as fact, though it's difficult to tell if she's being sarcastic or earnest, since her tone was absolutely flat. Pushing himself back to his feet, Cardin couldn't help but growl slightly as he got up and charged at Luna again before bringing his mace down on her. Though, his efforts to hurt Luna didn't work at all since the Construct in hiding simply jumped away as his mace came down crashing onto the spot Luna was originally at.
"In battle, you don't want to be flashy with your attack. Give it your all or risk being left behind." Luna continues as she charges in and slams her palm onto Cardin's chest with enough force to send him skiing back.
"I'm not done yet!" Cardin yells as he gets back on his feet and closes in and swings again at Luna, who simply raises her sword and blocks it. Though it secretly surprises her that Cardin's putting in more effort than before and furthermore, he manages to lock her sword against his mace. "I'm gonna show you everything I can do, and you'll be impressed by it!" And to his surprise, Luna gave a small smile.
"Prove it with your actions, not words, then."
"You got it!"
As if motivated by Luna's words, Cardin begins to push himself that it not only impresses his opponent, but everyone else who expected Luna to crush him with ease. Even Lucia herself, who was initially dismissive due to her knowledge of him, couldn't help but admit quietly that Cardin can be motivated to improve.
Even if the only reason he's pushing himself is that Luna said so.
However, besides that, Lucia's still looking forward to her sister flattening his ass for his terrible attempt to flirt and doing it so shamelessly. So, as the battle between Luna and Cardin goes on much longer than it should have, Cardin eventually loses when Luna parries and disarms him on the spot with her blade against his throat. But unlike the previous losses which Cardin will bear a grudge, he was smiling the whole time.
As if he didn't care that he just lost to Luna, which is incredibly out of character for him.
"It is done." Luna concludes as she takes her sword away from Cardin's throat. "You have potential. But refrain from flirting with me mid-combat ever again. I have no interest in relationships." With that, the Construct in hiding walks off the stage to the cheers of the crowd at her winning, while Cardin remains frozen for a moment before he dumbly nods his head.
"Got it…" Though, the bully is unaware of Luna's creeped out thoughts on him.
"Fucking creepy ass simp… Hopefully, I won't have to deal with him in the future."
With Cardin defeated with half an hour to spare, Ozpin had several volunteers go up against either Lucia or Luna and, as none of them stood a chance, but both sisters did purposely limit their strength as to not accidentally hurt whoever they're sparing against. Though it should be mentioned that when Ozpin had Pyrrha go up against Lucia, one of the rules was that she cannot use her semblance since she uses it as a crutch.
Of course, the only reason this rule exists is because of Lucia's worry over Pyrrha accidentally shredding her to bits.
In the end, once everyone had been dismissed with the majority having their egos bruised from the absolute beat down Lucia and Luna gave to everyone, it was the end of class and Ozpin took the three constructs away into one of the guest rooms he had prepared for them before departing.
And while Lucia and Luna were having their chat on how they could continue teaching the year one students how to fight better, Liv took her leave as she wishes to explore Beacon.
Lucia's POV
3 days later at 2300…
It's the weekend and I finally have some time to wander through Vale close to midnight. I hadn't forgotten about my plan to search for either Torchwick or Cinder and capture them alive for interrogation as to their plans. I also must admit, the past three days have been interesting… to say the least.
Firstly, there's an improvement of zero-point one percent on combat skills on the year one students of Beacon in the past three days, thanks to Luna and my efforts as attachés. Secondly, Cardin. I mean, what is there to say, fucker has been acting like a love-struck puppy around my little sister every time he sees her.
It's… creepy seeing the stereotype bully acting like this, you know?
He even stopped being an asshole when my sister bluntly told him to cut out his assholeness and racism. In fact, that sudden change caused quite the rumour to spread rapidly, since it's Cardin acting nicer suddenly. And many already pieced it together that Cardin's crush on my sister made him incredibly out of character.
I honestly don't know how to react, but I had to stop myself from stabbing him whenever I see him trying to earn my sister's attention. Hell, even Penny was confused at Cardin's sudden personality switch that she finds it, and I quote, 'uncanny and strange for Winchester to behave like this.' And I wholeheartedly agree with her.
Anyway, I managed to find alone time for myself and finally can put some of my plans still pending into action. While I can't directly get to Cinder since her Scroll location indicates that she's nowhere in Vale presently, I can still hunt down one of her reluctant subordinates in the form of Roman Torchwick.
Taking him alive will serve numerous purposes.
Mainly to gather more data on Cinder's plans and movement. Perhaps even coming to an agreement to free him from her grasp and onto freedom in return for backstabbing her. After all, pervious data I have on Roman indicates that he's prone to backstabbing his superiors. The most relevant is when he backstabbed the Spiders in the earlier years and made himself an enemy of the criminal syndicate.
Not a wise decision if you were to ask me.
But what do I know? I'm not him.
Anyway, the main concern is that if we were to work together, there's still an alarmingly high chance he could betray me should there be a better opportunity available for him. Nevertheless, if he refuses to work with me, I could always have him arrested and that hopefully would calm Blake down from her obsession with Roman having contact with the White Fang.
But who am I kidding? If having Roman in jail won't calm her down, I don't have an idea what would. Even then, whose stopping Neo from breaking him out of prison?
Actually, I wonder how would my systems deal with Neo's Semblance?
Perhaps I could push my audio sensors into overdrive to counter Neo's Semblance, since hers, in theory, mainly affects targets visually. Alternatively, I find a way to track Neo's actual location and deal with her that way. Again, all I have is theories and ideas that could help me deal with her, since I have no doubt that she will always be by Torchwick's side or watching over him from the shadows.
Now, I found myself on my bike zipping through the road in the industrial district of Vale, with Torchwick's scroll signature located in one of the warehouses one point five clicks from my current position. It's been a while since I used my bike, so I figured I can use that to reach to the coordinates where Torchwick's scroll it.
Furthermore, I wore a simple disguise black outfit that covers my whole body with an orange jacket with the metal pieces on my head removed. It's not much, but it's something I had the Griffin create before I had it drop me off in Vale. Now, why didn't I have my personal Jet drop me in Vale's industrial district directly?
It's too loud with its jet thrusters and the noise alone would alert just about everyone, especially when it's close to midnight, additionally, I prefer not giving myself unnecessary attention from Torchwick, Neo or anyone working with him. Like hell, I'm allowing criminals be the first one to recognise me. Come to think about it, Torchwick would probably be a kid when I butchered everyone that day…
[Estimated age of Roman Torchwick based on all available data…]
[32 years old.]
[In conclusion. He would be 7 years old at the time.]
Seven years old, huh? Yeah. He could be aware of the rumours surrounding me killing everyone that day, but it's impossible to know until more information is provided to me. Speaking of Torchwick, "I'm getting close now." Yes… I'm now at least a click from his scroll location, though I should park my bike somewhere. The only worry is someone stealing it since it's night, and remote away from normal police patrols.
Eh, I just have to be quick with this then.
After finding a good spot to park my bike, I began making my way towards Torchwick by foot and, as I suspected, he's there alongside other scroll signatures but… I'm detecting something else there… It's unknown and not recognised by my system. I got to be careful now. What could that signature represent?
[Beginning analysis of unknown signature. Recommend gathering visual data to proceed.]
Yeah, I need to get vision of whatever that unknown factor is and deal with it as soon as I can. Speaking of which, finding the building Torchwick was in was easy thanks to the increase in White Fang patrols that I picked up and had to sneak past. I cannot lie. Part of me and my system wishes to knock them out, but I figured that doing that might draw suspicion should the patrolling guards fail to return.
As I slowly stalked through cover, I picked up a conversation from a nearby White Fang patrol group. "Hey, heard the boss talking to that human again, something about a new pet to test." So, Adam's here, huh? Perhaps I can capture and neutralise him earlier than expected…
[Based on all previous data. Adam Taurus can be dealt with ease by disarming him from his weapon.]
Just as what I suspected.
Also pet? What pet are they talking about?
What did Torchwick have with him?
As if sharing the same thoughts as I was, the other Faunus said with doubt while I chose to sneak in closer, "Pet?" Yet, his partner quickly addresses that.
"Not that kind of pet. Apparently, that human's patron comes bearing gifts for us. Something about a controllable Grimm." Controllable Grimm? Was that the signature I picked up? I need more data. "But that doesn't make any sense, does it? Last, I know, most Grimm dissipate once captured, so how that human managed to find one that doesn't do that is strange." He said again before his partner whispers out.
"Fuck if I know, things have been getting strange ever since that event at the docks. Somewhere along those lines, I think we're all in the epicentre of something big. Especially with those things running around and those crazy ass Huntresses that stop them." Though it was difficult to see from my angle, I could tell that he shivered as if reliving a horrible nightmare.
And I know what he's referring to.
BPB-26 and ATL-01.
Guess even the Fang are nervous with those two machines running around.
"Fair point. But we talked enough here. Let's get moving." And so those two Faunus guards resume their patrol, while I have my own target to reach. And thus, moving through the buildings in the darkness of the night. I arrive at where Torchwick's signature is located.
[Detecting numerous scroll signatures.]
[Signature identified. 18 White Fang personnel in the warehouse. Adam Taurus and Roman Torchwick signatures detected within as well.]
Seems so good so far…
[Alert! Detecting entity designated 'Grimm Virus' in unknown signature! Utter destruction of signature, highly recommended!]
"What the?! Grimm Virus here? Don't tell me Merlot and Racher have Torchwick under their strings as well! And what are they doing right now!?" All sorts of alarms rang out in my system while I peered through the ceiling window above the warehouse. Where is that thing? Did they keep it in a box or something? I can see Roman and Adam talking about some deal, as well as several White Fang personnel, but not that entity.
Now where is that thing? I might need to go through several filters to see where it is…
"Now, the deal is that we get this Dust to my boss, and he'll provide some help, you, see?" I heard Torchwick saying as he flicked his cigarette in his mouth. "Not whatever the hell you animals are doing right now, the plan's changed."
"You're not going back on our deal, human." Adam snarled. "The Fang needs these resources as well for our own plans. And we're already giving that human woman much of ours. Now you're insisting we give up more? Why shouldn't I kill you where you stand?"
Yet, as I silently watch the scene before me, I notice Torchwick taking his cigarette out of his mouth and letting out a puff of smoke, and from the look of his face, he looks so done with this. "Look buddy, I got my hands all tied up here, and shit's it the fan with whatever that happened last month. And frankly, I want to be as far away as one can be in this situation. But since you're so insistent on some help for your critter party you have over here. My boss got a gift for you."
With a snap of his finger, I heard something growling from one of the boxes before it burst open to reveal something that I've never seen before. That's definitely a Beowolf. But every description of it clearly states otherwise. If I were to describe it, it would be if someone took a Beowolf and made it…
Machine…
[Visual recording in process.]
The General needs to be informed of this. This… This is not good at all if Merlot is starting to merge Grimm with father's nanobots. Drawing Benizakura out, I was incredibly tempted to jump in and cut this abomination down, though it appears that I'm not the only one creeped out by this Grimm machine as every single White Fang personnel, including Adam, drew their weapons and pointed at that thing.
"What the hell is this thing?!" Adam just about snarled so loud in outrage that I can hear him clear as day, while Torchwick visibly shudders before taking a step away from that Grimm as the bull Faunus growls out. "Explain while you still can before I choose to end your misery with that thing."
Sighing as if he hates this situation, which I won't fault Torchwick over, he explains while I observe quietly. "Fuck if I know. But you can order it around like a good pet if you'd like. Besides, that thing is more intelligent than you think, and the boss wants me to warn you to NEVER touch that thing. Why? I don't want to know, but just don't touch that thing."
[Analysis complete.]
[Warning! Unknown signature identified as Beowolf composed of Grimm Virus!]
[High chance of cross contamination in the warehouse should Beowolf remain operable.]
As I suspected… This Beowolf… Its entire composition is made up of Grimm nanomachines…
It must be terminated. Worse case, I need my sister for this operation, since she can apparently neutralise and contain the virus with her own nanobots. But… how did Merlot manage to create this thing this quickly? Is it Racher helping him do this? No… It doesn't make any logical sense upon reviewing what I know of him in my memories… But there's still a chance that needs to clarification.
[Sending private request for assistance to Luna Laurel with data package on the situation…]
I have to interfere as soon as the opportunity presents itself to take that Beowolf thing out and capture Torchwick for interrogation. Though… I could also capture Adam as a side objective here since he's also part of Cinder's circle unwillingly and cutting the head off the snake would cripple the Vale branch of the White Fang.
[Priority objective added. Neutralise the abomination and capture Roman Torchwick.]
[Secondary objective. Capture Adam Taurus to cripple the Vale branch of the White Fang.]
You know it's serious when even my system declares that Beowolf an abomination. Or is it simply taking on how I view it?
No matter. The thing is, that Beowolf has to be wiped clean from existence.
Having a pandemic breaking out in the middle of Vale would spur bad news for everyone. "Anyway, it's your problem now, I'm getting out of here. I got my fair share to deal with." Torchwick said as he was about to walk out when the Beowolf looks at my current direction above and growls audibly. Okay… That thing can sense my presence.
"What is it doing?" One of the nearby White Fang grunts mutter nervously before I see both Adam and Torchwick turning in my general direction as I hid just out of view away from the window. Though, my legs were ready to release like a spring to launch me at them.
It's about time I move in and hope that my sister receives my notice and can join me. I'll explain my reasoning at a later date…
Snarling at the potential that someone must have been spying on them upon seeing that Beowolf thing growling at someone above them, Adam called out. "Someone must be snooping around up there. We must be-"
But even before he could finish his sentence, he's swiftly cut off when in but a second, the glass above shattered into a million tiny fragments which was quickly followed by a blur of orange and black suddenly coming in and knocking most of the White Fang grunts in the warehouse out onto the floor and out cold.
All in but a second.
Lucia then appears not too far away, with her snow-white hair covering her eyes. "Pardon the interruption, gentlemen, I highly suggest you all surrender and turn yourselves in right now." Lucia says, with Benizakura crackling with power in her hand, with Roman and Adam facing her with their weapons in hand. "That thing you have with you must be destroyed. It is an abomination and a threat to all, and you have no idea what you're toying with."
"Who the hell is this person? And how did she move so fast?!" Adam just about hissed in his own mind as he gets into his stance with Wilt and Blush in his hands. Could this person be a Huntress? He had never seen someone move this fast that they're a blur! Hell! Even more, his instincts were screaming at him that this woman before him was a dangerous opponent and not one to be trifled with.
As for Torchwick? He was shitting bricks.
It's one of those crazy Huntresses he saw briefly going up against those machine things, and now one of them is standing here to arrest him! Yeah, the outfit change did throw him off for a bit, but he recognises that blade anywhere as well as that pure white hair like those pompous rich asses Schnees in Atlas.
"Just my luck today, huh? Not only I have to deal with some animals, I got to deal with you, of all people! Seriously! What is it with today?!" He cried out!
As if their situation couldn't get any worse, another smash of the window rang out throughout the warehouse as Luna herself floats in with her black gas mask with her swords on her back as both Adam and Torchwick found themselves in an awkward situation with the machine Grimm audibly growling and interestingly enough not attacking at all. "Apologies for the late coming, sister, but you needed some help?"
Luna calmly says, while the fact that these two women are sisters comes as a shock to Torchwick. "They're sisters?!"
"Yes. Deal with the Grimm abomination while I deal with the terrorist and criminal. I'll explain the details later."
"Understood."
And thus, the battle begins and that night, Torchwick and Adam will learn, first hand, how fucked they are.
Fuck, this took much longer than it should be thanks to the power of procrastination! But finally, at last! I am done with this work and I hope you liked it. Cos I, personally, feel that this chapter feels weak, you know? I don't know. I just have this feeling that this chapter isn't my best at all…
Anyway, so, Lucia and Luna are now 'teachers' of the year one students thanks to good old Ozpin recruiting them to do something, and then we have Cardin acting like a god-damn simp. I honestly don't know why I wrote that but yeah… Everyone's creeped out by that. Including Lucia, whose acts as an overprotective sibling whenever Cardin tries to flirt with Luna.
And finally, we have Lucia and Luna ganging up on Adam and Torchwick. Oh, man, neither of them will be well the next day from the beat down they're going to receive, I can say! And yeah. Grimm virus Beowolf. I have plans for it down the line.
Well, I'm done now. If you enjoy this story, do follow and favourite it, so I know you want more in the future! And while at it, do leave a review of what you think of this chapter, as I enjoy reading it and replying to it!
I will see you people in the next chapter eventually!
RGQC out!
