Kana Arima the Genius Child Actor who can Flick a Crying Switch in ten seconds was utterly devastated. Just a few minutes ago, she had been outperformed by a newbie in the industry, a kid one year younger than her called Hoshino Aqua.

The kid was genius when it came to acting. When the director had asked the two of them to act the role of a creepy child, he had been perfect, and for a few second Kana thought, he had been truly possessed. Just a testimony of how amazing his performance had been.

Worst of all was that the Director had refused to retake the scene, even after she begged and cried for him to do it he still refused. After that the adults had tried to comfort her and it worked to certain extent, but she was still sad and angry, so she walked away from the set to either cry some more and or to calm herself down. Whatever came first.

That was until she crashed into someone's leg while at the outmost part of the set.

"Are you okay!?" The voice of the man asked worriedly.

Kana lifted her head to see who it was and she was speechless. A young adult was carrying boxes full of materials for the sets; his bare hands were carrying things that would generally be so heavy you would generally need a car. She couldn't help but jump back once the man had left the box fall to the ground.

"Oh god I am a so sorry." The man said with an extremely worried expression while looking at her straight to the eye."

Kana realized that he had noticed her red eyes. The man simply remained there expecting an answer from her, so she quickly rubbed her eyes and tried to make the most dignified expression possible.

"I wasn't crying." She said while crossing her arms.

The young man looked at her in surprise for a second before smiling. "Of course, I am sorry I thought otherwise."

Kana didn't like the way he almost looked like he was about to laugh.

"Well I need to take all of this to the truck over there." The man said while picking up the equipment he had just dropped. "Maybe if I pray enough nothing broke. While I am at why don't you wait here? Your parents must be worried."

"Mom knows I won't go far." Kana said while following the man.

"Hmm, well maybe you are right there. But she is going to worry either way, moms are like that." The young man said while offering a sympathetic smile to her. "So why the red eyes?"

Kana remained silent for a few minutes before telling him about the entire debacle with the acting. Even if he moved around various boxes, he never seemed to stop paying attention, always listening and making little comments about the story.

"Well you shouldn't feel that bad." The man said after checking that nothing inside of one of the boxes was broken. "I love the kid, but Aqua has always been a creepy kid. There was no way to win against him in that one."

"You know Hoshino-san?"

"Yeah we are… Related." The young man said and Kana could see the connection Hoshino looked a lot like a younger version of the man. "I am Jaune."

Kana stared at Jaune for a few seconds, wondering what was happening inside of his mind, maybe she thought badly of her because she had just insulted a member of his family.

"This is the part where you introduce yourself." Jaune said while looking at Kana with a slightly mocking expression.

"I know that!" Kana exclaimed with anger. "I am Arima Kana. Tell me more about Hoshino-san."

Jaune looked at her for a few seconds before smiling like the Cheshire Cat. He leaned forward and looked at Kana with a lot of amusement, she didn't know why but she felt like something very annoying was going to happen.

"Ohoho so you want to know more about Aqua, huh?" Jaune said while putting a hand on his chin. "I didn't know he was this popular."

Kana immediately caught up to what he was implying and her face got as red as her hair.

"I do not like him!"

"Sure you don't." Jaune said before laughing and then letting out a sigh. "Childhood crushed where not matter what happened you wanted nothing more than to deny them. So nostalgic."

"You're wrong!" Kana shouted while stomping on the ground. "You're wrong! You're wrong! You're wrong!"

Just like that, the discussion quickly devolved into the adult teasing Kana about how she had a crush in Hoshino Aqua and how the kid was basically shouting to the four winds that no, she did not like Aqua and that she would never like him. Not now nor a hundred years into the future.

"Kana-chan!" A voice shouted causing the two of them to turn.

Going towards them there were two people, one of them carrying two other smaller people. Those running were Kana's mom and Miyako who was carrying the twins.

"Kana there you are!" Kana's mom said while hugging her daughter with relief. "I was so worried! Why didn't you tell me you were going somewhere else?"

Kana sent a 'shut up' to Jaune, who was currently looking at her with an expression that said 'I told you so'.

"And who in the world are you Mister?" Kana's mom finally looked away from her daughter to look at Jaune, suspicion being clear as day in her face.

"He is with us!" Miyako said quickly getting in the way before a misunderstanding could happen. "He is Jaune. He helps us by moving stuff around or taking care of the kids."

"Yo." Jaune said while offering a smile to the woman. "Arima-san, do you mind if I talk about something with you? I think that it will be of the outmost importance."

While the adults discussed about something, the kids remained standing around looking at each other in a slightly awkward manner. The two of them had seen Kana cry and while the two of them did not think much of the matter she definitely did.

"Who is he?" Kana said in an attempt to strike a conversation or to never start one about herself. "He said the three of you are related. Is he your older brother or something like that?"

The twins looked at each other for a few seconds as if thinking what was the best way to put how Jaune was related to them. Then they came to an agreement so the two of them turned to look at Kana.

While Aqua held a neutral expression, Ruby was smiling happily.

"He is our Dad/Papa!"

Kana stared at them for a few seconds the words taking a few seconds to fully registered in her mind.

'Eh?'

"Kana!" Kana's mom got closer to the group of kids sporting a wide smile. "I have excellent news! You now have two new playmates, isn't that exciting?"

'…Eh?'

So sorry about the Rent a Jaune chapter that did not have any kind of reaction. I realized that I wanted to add something to the story that would make it more interesting but at the same time I realized that I had not forshadowed any of it so I just kind of crammed it in at the last second. Also as you can guess by the title of this chapter this is another Mini-Arc.

Though in the case of this one it won't be about Jaune's dates but more of a relationship father daughter that was created between Jaune Arc and Kama Arima.

Also, do not worry. I won't drop an Usagi Drop, I promise you all that.
