"We'll eventually reach the prison if we continue to follow this road." Renne said, riding her Miraidon with Penny, Nadia and Lapis while Florian riding his Koraidon with Fuuka, and Arvan. "It was built adjacent to the police academy as part of the same complex."
"Was it now?" Nadia asked.
"Sounds like you're familiar with the area." Swin looking at her as he rides his Ponyta.
"You could say that. I used to take walks around here every once in a while." Renne replied
"Living on the wild side, aren't you, Renne?" Rogue asked as she grin.
"Swin." Neve called to him as he was walking by him.
"Hm? What's up, Neve?" Swin asked
"Just wanted to check up on you after what happened after the studio."
"Ah." He look solemn.
"It's none of our business what happened to your past with Nadia. But it's up to the both of you. But just so you know, you're not alone. There are a lot of people who have a dark past for themselves. But if you ever feel like talking about it, you're free to ask."
"Yeah... Thanks... But... why are you interested in talking to me about it?" Swin asked
"Who said I was interested?" Neve asked. "Besides, the Emperor's words affected you and Nadia, right?"
"..." Swin look down.
"It's all right. No one blames you, nor judge you. Besides, from what I've seen and heard. You were victims who were raised that way." Neve replied. "You and Nadia fought hard and well to earn that freedom. Make every last of it. And if you do like, I might help you enroll in the school if you ever feel like it."
"R-Really? But how can you do that?"
"Well... we'll figure it out. Besides, you wanted to be like regular kids, right? Where you study, make friends. Find a new purpose in life where you can be yourself. And guessing with Nadia who seems to be a slacker, I'm sure she'll wish for that blissful life too."
"No doubt about it." Swin said with a nervous smile.
"But I know that somewhere along the "normal" path, she'll find something she like to use as a career." Neve let out a smile. "But... I should add one thing. Use from what you learn to protect yourself and others. Okay?"
"I will. Thanks." Ace nodded as he stare at Neve. "..."
"Hm? Something wrong?"
"No... It's just... It feels like it reminded me or someone I knew."
"A friend, perhaps?" Neve asked
"Yeah."
"Well, I'm glad you still got your friends out there." Neve smiled as they continue walking.
Swin staring at Team Dark, Renne, Florian, Nemona, Penny, Arven, Aigis, Labyrs, Kevin, Ries, Raven, Emerald, Carmine, Kieran, Wario, Waluigi, and now Xiao who just minding his own business while the others chat.
'I didn't think they'd keep tagging along after we wrapped up at the studio...' Swin thought.

"Well, that concludes our business at the studio." Rufus said as they leave the studio. "What do the rest of you plan to do from this forward?"
"I think I'll stay with you. I wouldn't be doing a good job looking after Lapis id I just left. Who knows? You might be the lead we need to locate Terapango. And Estelle and Joshua."
"Terapango?" Lapis asked
"A Pokemon of mine... who got stolen." Florian clench his fist.
"How did that happen?" Swin asked
"It was around January 2. Someone attack me and took a Pokemon that I kept. Me and my friends have been searching for awhile but..."
"We been working hard but no leads. But who would attack and abducted Terapago from Florian?"
"I don't know but they're gonna pay." Kieran muttered.
"Right. Anyway, I guess the rest of us will still go with you because of Renne." Carmine replied. "So consider yourself lucky."
Swin sweatdrop. "Um... sure."
"I think it's best if we stick to you guys." Rogue said. "Is Lapis holds the key, then we should continue sticking together."
"Agreed. The sooner we get this done, the better." Shadow agreed.
"I'll also tag along too. Emerald?" Raven look at her.
"Well, it's better than doing nothing I guess." Emerald said

'Each of them is dependable in a fight. But I can't tell for some of them if they have something dark in their past, just like me and Nadia. Neve has been worried about me after what the Emperor said. It's kind of him... Well, like he said, he doesn't have the right to pry and I shouldn't either.'
"He's amazing, isn't he?!" Lapis asked with an excited tone. "There were SO many dolls back there, and they all looked just like me, but Rufus knew who I was right away! Then he told me I was 'the one and only Lapis Rosenberg'! It really was so amazing!"
"Y-Yeah... I guess it was amazing but..." Penny sighed.
"You already repeated that story like three times now." Arven muttered
"So how did you managed to pull that off?" Wario asked.
"Simple. I attached a transmitter to her a while back in the event someone tried to steal her." Rufus answered "She doesn't seem to noticed, so that's been rather convenient."
Neve, Swin, Wario, Waluigi, Raven and Emerald sweatdrop.

"But I think it's best for Lapis to not know about it." Emerald scratching her cheek.

"We should keep an eye on the situation, but stay caution." Raven advised as they approached the scene quietly as they see a familiar someone.

"Haaaaaah!" She used her craft to unleash a flame slash.
"Sirrrrrfetch'd!" Sirfetch'd swing his sword with Leaf Blade against a couple of fighters with their Pokemon.
"Wait... isn't she...!" Emerald whispered.
"What is she doing here?" Labyrs wondered as Rufus put on his mask.
"Shall we lend her a hand?" Rufus suggest
"You're willingness to aid those abominable sinners in their disgraceful cause will be your undoing!" The figure reveal to be Duvalie the Swift fighting against a couple of EDF with Two Great Tusks, Two Sandy Shocks, Two Iron Thorns and Two Iron Jugilus. "In the name of the Stalritter, I shall see that you are brought to justice!"
"Sirfetch'd!" Her Sirfetch'd share the sentiment.
One EDF Soldier shoot at her as she block as two swing their sword at her as she block and riposes. Her Sirfetch'd swing in combat against one EDF but his Iron Juglius block and then flapping its wings for Air Slash while the other EDF shoot at him but he jump away. Then Two Great Tusk rushed in to launch an attack against Duvalie and Sirfetch'd. They block with their child and then two Sandy Shock use Thunderbolt on them while the two Rifle users throw Orbal Art: Aerial Dust and Ivy Throns as they backflip.
"You may talk big, but you don't stand a chance!" One EDF smirked. "No matter how you and your Pokemon are, it's still sixteen to two!"
"Ugh!" Duvalie growled until a couple of EDF got hit by Nemesis Arrow, causing them to respond in surprise as they turn and no one was there.
"How pathetic if your only strength is in your numbers." Rufus said
"What was that?!"
"Who goes there?!"
"Allow us to crush that pitiful pride of yours to dust." Rufus respond.
"FIRING!" Omega firing bullets at them as they jump away while Raven lung and slash through them each.
"Augh!" One EDF winched and reader his sword but Raven disappeared and then they were whip attack, then Bob-Ombs were thrown at them.
"Where are the attacks coming from!?" One EDF Yelled
"Show yourselves cowards!"
"If you insist." Rufus said as he, Swin, Nadia, Ceruledge, Neve, Rufus in his mask, Ursaring, Wario, Waluigi, Lapis, Kevin, Ries, Raven, Mitsuru, Labyrs, Aigis, Shadow, Omega, Rouge, Kammy, Florian, Nemona, Penny, Arven, Miraidon, Koraidon, Sylveon, Mabosstiff, Quaquaval and Xiao appeared.
"Sup, bitches." Kevin smirked
"Where did you come from!?" An IDF shout
"How are..." Duvalie blinked.
"A very Good Day to you, Swift." Renne approached with Emerald.
"Th-The Angel of Slaughter?! What are you doing here?!"
"Patience, now. We'll have plenty of time to chat after we've made short work of them."
"Mmgh... I suppose you're right. To arms!" Duvalie readied her stand.
"Sandy Shock! Discharge!" One EDF yelled
"MAGNETNETOOOON!" Sandy Shock throw Discharge but Neve used Reflecga to reflect it back on the EDF Soldiers and the Paradox Pokemon as they dodge and rolled while Great Tusk and Sandy Shock were immune to it
Four Rifles readied to him but Nadia threw Steel Wires at them with Kevin backflip, aimed and firing orbal shots to cause an orbal explosion with Ries and Waluigi whipping to attack them. Great Tusk charged to attack them, only for Labrys to swing her axe hard enough to intercept, and then Aigis summoned Athena to shield them back. Mitsuru swooped in and slashed around them as some of the EDF blocked with their weapons until Mitsuru summoned Artemisia to throw Mabufudyne. Xiao fired a blast of green energy at them as Koraidon and Miraidon used Electric Drift and Collision Course.
Kammy summoned a magic circle to launch them into the air and then Penny summoned orbs to rotate and explode on them as Duvalie, Rufus, Neve, and Lapis lunged to slash them. Iron Thorns threw Rock Slide onto the group but Sirfetch'd used Rock Smash while Omega firing a missile, Shadow kicked the rocks to a couple of EDF as some dodged and lung to slash the group, but Carmine swirled her Three Section Staff and then hit them while Kierian ran and flying kick Iron Thorns and then swift slash, then backflip and throw his Sai to pierce around and then throw more Sai attacks.
Nemona stomped her feet to summon a pillar grabbed and swung at them to knock them to the ground and then finished it off with Orbal Arts: Flare Butterfly, Gallon Fort, Blue Ascension, and Tornados of fire and ice conjured by Raven and each one caused and explosion as the EDF screamed in agony along with the Paradox Pokemon as they collapse in defeat.

(Resuming the Way of Rushing)
"And that should deal with it." Florian smirked as they put their weapons away.
"Thank you for your help, Angel of Slaughter. And the same to your companions." Duvalie bow in respect.
"Her clothes are so shiny..." Lapis remark.
"Friend of hers, I guess." Swin struggled.
"Our Renne is just too popular." Nadia giggled
"Ooh yeah." The Pokemon Gang nodded in agreement.
"We were just passing by, but what brings you here?" Renne asked. "I don't see the rest of the Stallritter with you. And if you're here... does that mean Noel is with you?"
"If you mean what brings me to Crossbell, I have my reasons. As for the Young Lord, Ines and Ennea—we're on a separate mission to scout the enemy strongholds. Mine was to investigate the police academy when I was ambushed by that rabble."
Rufus remove his mask. "What an interesting coincidence."
(BGM paused)
Duvalie stare in shock at Rufus's face. "You... You're..." Then her expression turned to rage when a flashback of her saw him trying to assassinate her late lord behind her back. "RUFUS ALBAREA!"
Duvalie move with insane speed to slash him but Rufus quickly blocked it, surprising Nadia, Swin, Lapis, Florian, Penny, Arven, Nemona, Carmine, Kieran, and their Pokemon except Renne, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Kammy, Mitsuru, Hazama, Aigis, Labrys, Fuuka, Raven, Emerald, Kevin, Ries, and Xiao behind his mask.
"That speed!" Swin exclaimed.
"I barely had the time to blink..." Nadia grit her teeth
"Can't say I saw this coming." Hazama sighed

"It's time you answered for your sins, Rufus Albarea!" Duvalie glaring, pointing his sword at him. "I shall strike you down where you stand!"
Lapis, Neve, Swin, Nadia, Ursaring, Gallade, and Ceruledge got in between Duvalie and Rufus with their weapons out.
"I won't let you kill him!" Lapis yelled
"I don't know what personal history you two have, but right now, he's our client. So we can't let you kill him either." Swin chin in.
"Or at least wait until we're paid to kill him." Nadia replied.
Swin sweatdrop. "Not the point..."
"We're going to sit this one out." Renne said, standing next to Florian, Penny, Arven, Nemona, Miraidon, Koraidon, Sylveon, Mabosstiff, Quaquaval, Mitsuru, Aigis, Labyrs, Fuuka, Shadow, Rouge, Omega and Kammy. "I can't say I don't sympathize with her after what he tried to do to the Steel Maiden. And if I had to choose, I'd even back her over him."
"Agreed." Emblem Loewe appeared. "I despise him for what he tried to do to my formal mentor."
"We heard one of his crimes and what he tried to do to the Steel Maiden too from Renne and the others." Florian sighed but look firm. "So we're also gonna stay out of it, or side with Duvalie on this matter."
"Agreed. Take no offense." Shadow agreed.
"As for us, we'll just stay out of the crossfire." Kevin said, standing next to Ries, Salamence, Altaria, Hazama, Raven, Wario, Waluigi, Emerald and Raven. "While I did hear what he tried to the Steel Maiden, those of us will stay out of this."
"That's fine. We'll handle it." Swin replied.
"No. Stand down." Rufus spoked, causing Swin, Nadia, Lapis, Gallade, Ceruledge and Ursaring. "This grudge is between me and her."
"Gall..." Gallade muttered
"How dare you show your face to me after almost running your sword through my lord's back?!" Duvalia glared in rage. "Even if she was destined to disappear after the final Rivalry, that doesn't make what you did any less despicable!"
"You're correct." Rufus close his eyes. "Your anger and desire for revenge are entirely justified... but I'm afraid I still have unfinished business to attend to. I can't allow myself to die until I have finished it."
"The Young Lord and I could have accepted it had you just quietly rotted away in your cell after the war was over. But no. You escaped, stole freedom from Crossbell once more, and sought to rule the entire world as a dictator! And to make it worst, you once again sided with that diabolical man: Xehanort in this farce. It's bad enough for what he tried to do in the Keyblade War in the Keyblade Graveyard. I thought he has atone for it all after the Great Twilight. But once again... he is back to do evil... You and Xehanort might be just as evil as the Fell Dragon Sombron who ever lived—and in the name of my lord, you WILL face justice!"

"I'm no warrior." Rufus interrupted Swin. "But neither am I opposed to settling this like warriors. And you know as well as I do how warriors settled their differences." He let out a small smirk. "A duel. What do you say?"
"Gladly. Let's settle this!" Duvalie readied her sword. "Sirfetch'd. Watch from the sideline. Make sure none interfere."
"Sirfetch'd!" Sirfetch'd nodded.
"All right, everyone, clear the road." Raven said as everyone begin to watch from the sidelines as Rufus and Duvalie stand on opposite side of the road.

Acting as referee is Renne as Rufus and Duvalie readied their battle stance.
"Ready? Then BEGIN!" Renne declared
Seeking Justice - Duvalie the Swift.
Duvalie and Rufus lung at each other but Duvalie was faster in terms of speed. They swing their swords at each other then Duvalie thrust and swing her right. Rufus calmly blocked and then thrust her. Duvalie block with her shield, backflip then created clones of herself and she dash toward him to strike him. Rufus gracefully quick slash. The real Duvalia hop over while the clones vanished.
Duvalie thrust, but Rufus block and then retaliate with a swing. They swing at each other. Duvalie shove her shield to hit Rufus and then swift strike him. Rufus taken damage, then he recovered to retaliate and strike her.
"Ngh!" She grunted as she glared.
Rufus throw Soul Eater onto Duvalie as she block his attack with her shield but Rufus evenuyl pass through to her with a slash. Duvalie readied her craft: Glacier Brand and then swing Rufus to make him slid. Duvalie then dash toward Rufus to slash him. Rufus blocks as Duvalie pass through him, then Duvalie begin to circle around to slash him. Rufus swing his around to block all of Duvalie's attacks until she created clones of herself and each one lung at him. Rufus backflip and then he thrust toward Duvalie. Duvalie block with her shield as she was slid away.
Duvalie and Rufus lung at each other and they repeatedly swing at each other. Duvalie then shield bash and then swing slash her sword. But Rufus dodge and block and ripose her. Then Rufus thrust combo thrust Duvalie and then swift strike her and knock her away. Duvalie recovered her ground and then lung to slash him. Rufus tilt his body and dodge the attack. Duvalie spin a swing attack, but Rufus backflipped and then both took their strike and strike at each other, leaving behind a slash trail before.
Rufus turn as Duvalie vanished and then reappeared with her sword imbued with electricity to thrust him. Rufus block and tilt and outward slash to push Duvalie away. They swing their sword at each other fiercely until they both cling their swords for a power struggle. They bounce each others attack, then Duvalie rotate and then horizontal slash him, but Rufus rotate around Duvalie and then slash her back. Duvalie quickly block with her sword and then retaliate, pushing Rufus back as they both stood at each other.
"Rufus has the upper hand when it comes to skill, but that girl has a lot of heart in her swings. All in all, I would say they're about even." Swin remark.
"That's what I was thinking. The next strike'll probably be the end of it." Nadia replied.
'Hm?' Neve noticed as Duvalie took her stand, Rufus hiding behind his back was his ARCUS Alpha which cast an orbal art.
Duvalie had an ?! over her head as she notice an attack below her as she was struck by Ivy Nail then lunged and disarm Duvalie as her sword stabbed onto the gound and Rufus aim his sword at her.

"And the show is over." Hazama clapping his hand.

"Err... did he just cast an orbal art?" Nemona asked.
"He did. He cheated, didn't he?" Arven asked
"Well technically, they didn't set up a rule to use Orbal Arts." Neve fold his arms. "Even so, that was a cowardly move."
"There's no honor in a battle nor a duel." Raven said. "Since they didn't establish any rules, they can settle using tricks."
"I get the feeling he plan for this from the very beginning." Shadow replied.
Duvalie grumbled. "I accept my defeat. It's my fault for not seeing through his machinations. No hurry up and kill me!"
"Here we go." Rufus lower his sword. "I may very well be a villain, but I don't believe in taking life without a reason. How about my reward for victory be a friendly conversation? Assuming you've calmed down, that is."
"I have nothing to discuss with—"
"Then allow me to be blunt: You will aid me."
Duvalie blinked. "I will WHAT? You must be joking. I would sooner DIE than help you!"
"What you don't realize id that our goals are the same." Rufus replied
"Do you expect me to believe that?! I could never share the same goal with someone like YOU!"
"About that." Renne approached with Emblem Loewe. "I wouldn't be so sure if I were you..."
"Wh-What is that supposed to mean?" Duvalie asked. "Wait... What are you and the others doing palling around with him in the first place. Including that Dominion and his squire."
"Leaving them side, you haven't noticed the detail that passes you by." Emblem Loewe folds his arms. "Did you stop to wonder why would one of the co-supreme leaders was fighting against his own men. Swift?"

"You have got to be kidding me." Duvalie grumbled as she progressed all the information. "I can't fathom how this is possible, but I also can't deny that it makes more sense than it should."
"Well, the only one who can answer that is the enemy leaders themselves." Kevin casually wrap his arms over his head. "Whoever they are is quite a dangerous foe."
"To think the other Rufus Albarea behind all of this is just as dastardly as the real one. I assume this Xehanort is the real deal or the same?"
"We are not certain, but I believe he is also an imposter." Aigis said. "The real Xehanort has left this world once he completed his "redemption" during the Great Twilight. If he do, evil. It... as they say: would be pointless."
"But I assume Rufus is the reason why you are here?" Ries asked
"Yes. The Young Lord, Ines, Ennea, and I made our way after we learned of the occupation. " Duvalie answered. "Infiltrating the state wasn't easy, but we managed, hoping to finally settle the scores. We did our best to avoid head-on conflict, but the enemy discovered us while we were in the city, and we came under attack. Naturally, those soldiers in black were no match for the four of us. But I can't say the same for Cao Lee and that Garcia fellow who was leading them. Although the Young Lord managed to push the both of them away."
"That's a surprise. Both are formidable foes." Renne mused.
"There are few who wouldn't fear an encounter with Zephr's former Killing Bear and Heiyue's White Orchid Dragon. But it is rather surprising that the Undine Prince managed to hold off his own against them, due to his age." Rufus said
"There's no denying that the Young Lord's strength is immense, despite his age." Duvalie sighed. "But it is thanks to his rigorous training regiment everyday that made him go so far that he is capable of destroying Aions."
"He's capable of destroying Aions now?" Emblem Loewe asked in surprise before sighing. "Noel truly wanted to surpass the limitations."

"The Young Lord was very upset with the Divine Blade of Wind. Criticizing him for disgracing the Bracer's name and aiding with the man he despises so much. He and the Divine Blade fought each other. There was no doubt that Arios skills are on a plane much higher than mine and the Young Lord's. And yet, the Young Lord was able to keep up with him with his skills and heart alone, making it evenly match. But during the match. He asked him "Who are you"? At first, I wasn't sure what he meant before two women and a menacing old man appeared to aid him."
Duvalie sighed. "The Old man's presence shows he's no ordinary figure. There was this one woman, I could sense something was eerie behind her smile. And the other one with peerless beauty has skills with a sword and magic at her command. We had no choice but to retreat."
"Hmm... The Fake Me has gain some interesting allies." Rufus rub his chin. "The Divine Blade of Wind is the last person I would want to cross blades with as well. He has a history... and I'm afraid it is not a pleasant one."
"I assume this is where it leads you to scout the enemy base?" Xiao asked.
"Yes. We've chose to—" Duvalie blinked at Xiao. "Wait, who the heck!?"

"That's going to be difficult but... fine. Anyway, we chose to split up and scout the enemy's base and slowly turn the tide in our favor."
"You mentioned that you were heading to the Police Academy, right?" Rouge asked. "We were planning on heading there too. There's someone there need to speak to. Perhaps you can join us?"

As they hid, they see a young blue hair young man clashing his sword sword against the EDF and facing against two Helmonds with Paradox Pokemon were Slither Wings, Raging Bolt, Iron Hands, Iron Valiant, Iron Crown and Iron Boulder against his Milotic.
The Young Man was none other then Noel Ryker of Ouroboros. He move with insane speed, vanishing and slashing, taking down EDF soldiers as blood came out of them as they screamed and fell on their backs. Two EDF firing Bullets but he dodge them swiftly and then he impales one to his chest, pull his sword out and disarms the other and go for the killing blow. Two EDF Soldiers ran to avenge his comrades in arms but Noel turn his gaze to them menacing to unleash a powerful slash to knock them on their feets.
"Aaugh!"
"Aaaaaar!" Milotic's tail cloak in water and then unleash a powerful Aqua Tail, knocking the Paradox Pokemon away and crashing to the mountains in defeat.
"Raaaaugh! You Damn brat!" An EDF swing his Helmold at him but he dodge while the other begin shooting at him.
Noel vanish as he reappears with afterimages of himself around one Helmond, then passing through with phantom slashes, and then causing an explosion to destroy it into pieces.
"AAAAAAUGH!"
"I-Impossible!" An EDF yelled inside as he aim his gun.
Noel imbued his sword with blue energy, extended range and then lung at the other and unleashed fierce combo slashes around the Helmond's arms and legs and then destroyed them, dropping the body to the ground. Noel raise his sword high and then swing down for a powerful explosion that destroy the Zauber Solot and killing the pilot.
Noel turn to the other Zauber Soldot, approached and opened the hatch, used his water powers to grabbed the pilot and then impale him as he screamed and then beheaded him and toss his corpse side.
"M-Monster...!" An EDF cower in fear on the ground.
"How can one child overpower our new soldots, Pokemon and our unit?!" The other shuddered as Noel turn to them, and approached them. "S-Stay back! Get away from me!" He got up and tried to run, but Noel extended his hand and then grabbed, pulled him and then sunder him in half.
"Aaaah!"
"You EDF are demons in human flesh. You who side with that abomination: Rufus Albarea are not permitted to live. I will destroy everyone and everything who sell their souls to that man." Noel said menacing as he turn to the soldier, grabbed and then impale him to his chest.
"Blwah!" He coughs off blood as he look in horror as Noel gives him a death glare. "Be damn to the furthest reach of Gehenna and never see the light again." He pull out and then beheaded the soldier.

As the EDF corpse collapsed near him, he dropped the head and swung his sword to remove the blood. Then he snapped his finger to summon water form sharks.
"Dispose of them all. But leave those Paradox Pokemon alone." Noel commands as the Sharks swim and open their jaws and devour the corpses of the EDF.
'..!' Swin grimaced at the sight.
Kieran shivered in fear as he lost his color, remembering his past encounter with Noel back in Deep Area Zero.
'He completely whip out that whole group along with his Milotic?' Nadia asked, looking scared but also impressive.
Duvalie sighed. 'That's the Young Lord, all right...'
"Rufus, Neve, why are you—" Neve covered Lapis's mouth while Rufus and him covered Lapis's eyes first.
'Shush!' Neve shushed while Rufus put on his mask.
"I know you're hiding from there." Noel turn his attention to where the group is. "Come out or I'll make you."
'Busted!' Emerald muttered. 'Damn it... he's the same kid who...'

"It's me, Young Lord." Duvalie called out as she came out with the team.
"What the—" Noel blinked. "Duvalie? Oh, thank goodness you're okay. Wait, who are these people with you?" He asked as he approached. "Wait, some of you look familiar..." He looked at the group and had an ! over his head. "Wait, is that Renne?!"
"Hello, Noel. Nice to see you're lively with the killing." Renne said.
"Oh, so you saw that." Noel sighed. "Well, they got exactly what they deserve anyway. Especially this nonsense with the 'united nation' and that son of a bitch being a dictator with Xehanort. Honestly, it's bad enough that he brainwashed the people of Crossbell with that wretch's powers but the other stunt he pulled? I couldn't help but just wanted to end him right now."
"Oh? What other stunt did Rufus and Xehanort do?" Neve asked.
"You're not going to believe it. Like Father like Son I suppose..." Noel sadden. "Or in this case, Uncle and Nephew..."

I knew letting you live was a mistake, out of respect for Jusis:— who I deem my only cousin then an abomination like you!" He grip his sword as he glared. "It's high time I bring an end to this farce of your 'united nation'!"
"No!" Lapis got in between Rufus and Noel along with Neve, Swin, Nadia, Ursaring, Gallade, and Ceruledge. "I won't let you kill him!"
"What?" Noel glared. "You're even swooping so low to hiring kids to fight for you?" He shook his head. "No... forget I said that. It's hypocritical considering the organization I work for..." Then he unleash a powerful imitation. "I don't want to hurt you kids, so kindly stay out of my way!"
"Ngh!" Swin gritted his teeth.
"Wait..." Noel turn to the other group. "Why are you guys with this monster? Especially YOU Renne! Duvalie! Have you both forgotten what he tried to do to Mother?!"
"No, my Lord! I could never forget that very moment!" Duvalie exclaimed.

It's bad enough you corrupted everyone with your demonic and shameful act, but you even brainwash, Renne?! HOW DARE YOU!" He yelled as he stomped his feet to crack the ground.

Then... you tried to kill everyone in the settlement by firing a Railway Cannon!"
Noel hold his head as he shook. "I thought Sombron and Xehanort were the most vile and evil creations in existence..." He glared at Rufus. "But I was wrong... you... are one of the embodiments of evil... who seeks to create chaos and destruction!" He took his stand. "Crossbell... no... this world will never be free from your reign of tyranny. All those who follow you will forfeit their lives by my hand! I will undo your brainwashing on every victim. And I will put an end to this once and for all!" Noel readid his swords "Rufus Albarea, you will die here and now! I will make sure NONE of you remains!"
As Rufus stare in surprise of the actions his imposter did under his name. He grit his teeth a bit before looking calmly.
"Listen well, Noel Ryker." He said to get his attention. "There's no doubt your reasons to kill me are all justified. But no doubt most was what I tried to do, Almost killing your mother." He said.
"Grrgh!"
"But just like the Swift. I can't allow myself to die until I have finished it. Which is why I propose a duel."
Noel stare, giving a 'Are you serious' look with narrowing his eyes. "What?"
"We will settle this like warriors. I may not be warrior, but I do know how warriors settle this. A duel between you and me." Rufus propose.

Noel throw water hands to grabbed, Lapis, Nadia, Neve, Gallade, Ursaring, Swin and Cerluledge and toss them to the group.
"Waah!" Lapis yelped as Florian catch Lapis, Swin and Nadia slam into Wario and Waluigi and knock them to the ground, Ursaing knock into Carmine and Kieran, Ceruledge and Neve recovered their ground
Noel swing his arms to create a barrier.
"Children. Make sure none interfere." Noel command as waterform sharks appeared in front of the group.
"Ah! It's those sharks again!" Arven yelled.
"One of the Undine's minions..." Kevin readied his crossbow.
'They really are...' Penny looking at Noel.
Noel remove a ring from his ring finger and put it in his pocket.

Noel vanished and reappeared in front of Rufus and threw a kick attack. Rufus block it in time as he slid and then he lung at Noel to thrust and slash him. He blocked and parried him as they swint at each other until Noel kick Rufus away and sent slash projections. Rufus dodge them then Noel lung at him for an axe kick and spin kick. Rufus backflips and then thrusts forward.
Noel blocks as he backflips. Rufus then swings calmly and gracefully as Noel blocks them skillfully and swings at each other. As Rufus calmly blocked it, Noel was swinging recklessly. Rufus imbued his sword with a dark aura then used his craft: Soul Eater 2, then combo thrust and slash and landed a strong blow on Noel.
Noel growled as he spin slash Rufus who blocked as he slid back. Noel lungs and then swings fiercely with twin clashes as Rufus calmly blocks them but ends up getting hit by a couple to his shoulder and Noel rotates for a horizontal slash. Rufus block it and then both swing at each other until they jump away from each other and they both lung and pass each other and swing at each other again.
Rufus thrust to Noel's cheek but he dodge it and retaliated with an axe kick, then he combo slash Rufus and knocked him away with a trust attack.
"Ngh!" He grunted as he rolled but he got back on his feet.
"Rufus!" Lapis yelled.
Noel lunged at insane speed to pass through Rufus to slash him but Rufus blocked his attack as they power struggled a bit, then jump away from each other. Noel dash at insane speed to swing fiercely against him while Rufus calmly blocked it then he thrust and managed to cut Noel's cheek, causing him to growl. Rufus jump away, swirl his sword and then he swings at Noel as he block.
Noel rotates his body and then swings at him as Rufus blocks. Noel then swing and thrust as Rufus block them, then he jump and cartwheel slams the ground. Rufus imbued his sword with dark powers as Noel imbued his sword with blue and white energy in each respective Aetherius and then lung at each other, passing through and then turn to face each other and swing at each other.
They swing at each other at a rapid pace and then Noel forms a spinning wheel that Rufus slides to avoid and then takes a stand to dash thrust attack. But Noel jump high to avoid the attack and then dives to kick Rufus. Rufus backflips as Noel stomps the ground. Noel sent out slash projections at Rufus dodges and then deflected one. Then Noel's lungs pass through him and slash him.
Noel sent out a slash projections attack, but Rufus jumped into the air and then dived into a cartwheel attack as Noel blocked it. Rufus hops away and then Noel vanishes and reappears to slash him, only for him to block and they swing at each other fiercely. Noel backflips and then places his hand on the ground to spin kick to stop Rufus's attack, then jumps and lands on his feet to toss his white Aetherius sword at Rufus as he deflects it.
Noel teleported to grab and kick Rufus. He dodged and countered with a swing attack, but Noel jumped and kicked his chest to kick him away and then lung to slash him. Rufus block and counterattacks by swinging and thrusting at him, but Noel dodging each attack by corking, dance moves, backflipping, and then countering with repeated kicks to his face and then flip kicks.
Rufus backflipped and recovered his ground while Noel swirl his twin swords and imbued them with power. Noel lung to slash him but he blocked, then Noel teleported around Rufus's corner to slash him, but he blocked each of his attacks but Noel's speed managed to cut Rufus's cheeks and his clothes until five afterimagine of him appeared and each one lunged at him. Rufus didn't have enough time to counterattack and then he jump over them until the real Noel reappeared behind his opening.
"..!" Rufus gasped as Noel readied to land the final blow to kill him.
Noel imbued his sword white Aetherius with power and swift thrust. Much to everyone's surprise, Rufus managed to block and parry him.
"..?!" Noel gasped in surprised as Rufus used his craft: Zevarl as he raised his sword and swing down, causing a sunder attack and launching Noel away as he slid. "Grrrgh!" He growled as he recovered and glared.
"Whoa, that was a super close call!" Nadia said.
"Yeah. Rufus's form is no joke when it comes to skills. But Noel's skills with his swords are more finesse than mine. His speed and his movements are something else too Almost like a dance in some instant." Swin remark.
"Indeed. The Young Lord's speed surpasses my own. He's taken different dance and gymnastics classes to become more flexible in combat. He's been training to become a true duel-wielding swordmaster." Duvalie nodded. "As the son of my lord, he inspired to become be like her in strength and compassion as her heir. He still has a long way to go for his emotions, but his skills show how far he has become. However..."
"Hah. You have certainly grown stronger than you were during the Great Twilight, Enforcer No. XVIII." Rufus complimented. "I'll admit, I was having trouble compare to my battle with the swift. I thought I was nearly reach death by your hands. However." He look firmly. "Your swordsmanship is flawed." He said, causing Noel to have an !? over his head. "You're letting your emotions affect your swordsmanship. Anger, and stress do not mix well. You would stand a better chance if you—"
"You..." Noel slightly lower his head as he gritted his teeth and then look up with rage. "BASTAAAAAAAAARD!" He unleashes his battle aura that's overwhelming to shake the ground.

"Whoa!" Swin flinched
"T-This is his strength?!" Nadia exclaimed.
"Y-Young Lord!" Duvalie yelled
"Noel, calm down!" Emblem Loewe yelled
"Don't you dare lecture me!" Noel hold his head and shook with rage. "You do not earn that right after all that you did! I am sick and tired of this farce!" He took his battle stand. "I will kill you if it's the last thing I'll do! Anywho gets in my way, THEY'LL BE SHOVE DOWN TO GEHENNA WITH YOU! Now perish, RUFUS ALBAREA!"
Noel readied to lung as Rufus respond in kind, but he notice Noel close his eyes as he wasn't moving until his battle aura died down a bit.

"Something doesn't feel right here." Noel turn to Renne. "Renne, are you truly not affected by that black wave from Ilya?"
Renne shook her head. "Nope. Everyone here is not affected by the brainwashing effect. If we were, you would have noticed or sensed the effects on us. What's more, we learn that it doesn't affect artificial life like the Aigis, Labrys, and Omega. Even if we were, I'm sure they could have helped us get away or snapped out of it by using Recuria. And taken the count with Duvalie, you should know she would never aid the co-supreme leader unless she was under the effects." Renne added.
"True... but that doesn't explain why you of all people along with Shadow, Mitsuru, her three companions, and even Loewe would be with him."
"That is because the man in front of you is not the one responsible for all those things you mention." Emblem Loewe said
"What?" Noel raising an eyebrow.
"It is true." Rufus put his sword away. "I may be a villain dear cousin, but I would never stoop so low to turn the village ablaze like the formal Duke Albarea did with Celdic during the civil war. Adding fire to Nord is also something I and massacring the people there is also something I refuse to do."
"Didn't you threaten your subordinates to kill them for being useless during the Great Twilight? And even tried to kill my mother" Noel giving a glare

"Okay, let me see if I got this right." Noel pinching his nose as he progresses through all the information. "You're telling me that there are TWO Rufus Albarea? And this bastard here is the real one? While the one in Crossbell and occupied it is the imposter who stole his name and caused this chaos?"
"Yup." Wario said.
"AFFIRMATIVE." Omega said.
"And so you're all here because your goal is to find out who is behind the imposter and end this farce?" Noel then turns to Lapis. "And that Rosenberg Doll is the key to all of this?"
"That's the gist of it." Arven replied
Noel took a deep breath and sighed. "That explains a couple of things. I heard Rufus escape from his prison at Aurochs Fort a couple of days ago... but it shouldn't be possible how he managed to appear in Crossbell. Not unlike it involves teleportation. But... to think it was an imposter who just fueled the fire is responsible for this... Whoever is behind this really pisses me off and earns themselves the death sentence. How he managed to occupy Crossbell was well too prepared. Especially gaining new Zauber Soldots in the progress. The Auto tanks and Soldots back in the highland... the railway gun... and even the devices in Nord hide the Courageous II through an illusion. Whoever is behind this and created the imposter must have a high level of technology... that either surpasses or rivals the society's technology...inconceivable."
Noel turn to Rufus. "You."
"Hm? Yes?" Rufus asked until Noel bow in apology, much to his and everyone's surprise.
"I owe you a deep apology for trying to kill you. You resemble the man I despise so much that I ended up targeting the wrong person. I know what I've done can't be forgiven after scaring you and your companions. But all I can do is apologize for this misunderstanding."
"Errrr... Did he seriously apologize?" Waluigi asked
Kevin whistle. "Wow. I did not see that coming."
"Nor did I." Rufus agreed. "Raise your head. It's understandable for mistaken me for the man you despise."
"Even so, my action is inexcusable." Noel frowned. "But that doesn't mean you're the hook either. To me, right now. You're just a stranger who resembles him. I don't know if this is part of your scheme, knowing how devilry cunning you are."
"Hehe. I'll take that as a compliment."
"So what are you planning to do now, Noel?" Renne asked.
"I'll join you guys." Noel answered. "I want to put an end to this farce as much as you do and investigate who is truly responsible for this imposter. I'm sure that my presence might discomfort you after my outburst and actions I've done to the EDF you all witness."

Rufus stares in Emblem Arianrhod who looks back, but is not happy.
"And hello to you as well, Rufus Albarea. Worry not. I've heard everything and I too shall aid you. The Imposter caused so much damage from both the Empire, the Republic, and now the highlands. We cannot let more people and other nations come to pass. Although it will be difficult considering you almost took my life."
"Hehe. I'm sure there are many who refuse to cooperate with me. I will not hold a grudge. And you have every right to be." Rufus replied. "I am rather surprised that you are an Emblem."
"Indeed. My ring was given to Noel to assist in the shadows during the events in Elyos. The Divine Dragon Twins know how much he adores me and so I am in his care. I'll try to restrain Noel from trying to kill you."
"Hehe. Much appreciated."
"Oh, one last thing." Noel spoked. "If we encounter any EDF along the way, don't try to stop me because I'm going to kill them. All who follow that domination don't deserve to live. I hope you understand that."
"That's fine by me." Xiao replied.
"Very well. If you wish to kill those men then by all means." Rufus replied.

"By the way, I don't think I introduce to some of you guys. It's nice to meet you. I'm Noel Ryker. And this is one of my Pokemon Partners Milotic. Who are you guys?" He look at Swin, Nadia and Lapis.
"Oh, I'm Lapis Rosenberg. This is Nadia and Swin. Ceruledge and Ursaring."
"Lapis, Nadia and Swin. Got it. I have to admit, I was surprised to see you guys who are around my age here accompany this guy. But from the looks of it, I can tell you guys are special. Compare to Lapis here."
"Why thanks for the compliment." Nadia giggled.
"For someone who was extreme a moment ago, you're surprisingly casual." Swin replied.
"Well, that just happens I still have a lot to learn about being an adult. But that's just part of life." Noel nervous smile. "Oh, and I'm sorry for knocking you guys to the side while protecting Rufus."
"It's fine. Was that magic you used just now?"
"No. It's an ability I've gained through... circumstances." Noel muttered. "But I've notice that you two possess some interesting weapons. They appeared to be unique and custom made."
"Oh, you've noticed did you? Your swords are also something else too." Nadia replied.
"They're specially made. Judging from that look your giving, Nadia, I can tell you're quite the devil, aren't you?"

They headed to a place to hide and scout the area from the higher ground and saw EDF patrolling with Paradox Pokemon.
"More Paradox Pokemon here too..." Noel whispered.
"So you know what they are too?" Swin asked
"Aside from the battle, I've learned the details after exploring a place in Paldea."
"Bah. Should have known there will be more guards here." Wario grumbled.
"Buuuut, why here?" Waluigi wondered
"Well, at least it made it easier for us." Mitsuru replied.
"And for me to kill them." Noel said with a glare. "You guys don't have to get your hands dirty."
"Are we really gonna do the killing?" Lapis asked with concern.
"We don't since we refuse. But someone outside like Noel wants to, then let him be." Swin muttered
"I'm glad you understand. Now, let's roll." Noel said as they split up.

As they all get into position, Swin throw a flash grenade to a few EDF and stun them.

Rufus and Neve lunged at them and pass through them with a slash, knocking them out.
"We're under atta—" The EDF was cut off by Raven by slashing his back and knock to the ground while Wario and Waluigi knock away Iron Hands and Iron Mouth.
Nadia and Lapis knock a couple of EDF from behind and so did Xiao, Mitsuru, Shadow, Rouge, and Kammy while the rest approach.
"Humans can be so fragile." Lapis comment.

"The Paradox Pokemon are out." Florian called out as knock out Scream Tail, Futter Maine, Sandy Shock and Great Tusk.
"No Zauber Soldots here too. So that's good news." Labrys replied
"Good." Noel used his water manipulation to grabbed all the EDF and take them to behind the building and then kill them there and then summon water sharks to devour them while Noel came out. "All done~"
"I know I have no right to say this, but was that really necessary to add blood to your hands?" Swin asked with concern.
"From my viewpoint, they're not humans after the evil they've done. They don't deserve to breathe the air. So sending them to Gehanna is doing this world a favor. Besides, I've already spilled much blood on my hands. Every life I've taken will always stay with me. Sometimes, you have to kill in order to protest. Besides, they've deserve it. Sending them to jail where they rot to atone is a farce to me."
"Noel—" Emblem Arianrhod giving him a look of wanting to scold him until Shadow turn his head.
"Incoming!" He yelled as Neve, Labrys, Gallade, and Ceruledge deflected the attack.

Penny look to her left. "Wah!? Incoming!" She yelled as a wind slash projection attacked as they dodged.
Then another Arios Laclaine appeared.
"What the?!" Wario jawdropped.
"There's two of him?!" Waluigi asked
"Incoming!" Emblem Lief yelled as two more projections was thrown at them and they dodged.
Then two more Arios Maclaine approached.
"There's even more of him!" Emblem Celica exclaimed.
"Heh. How fortunate for us." Rufus comment
"What's do fortunate about this?!" Swin asked
"We no longer need to wonder if they're frauds. Time saved."
"THAT'S what you're thinking about?!" Neve, Noel, Emerald, Emblem Leif and Rouge yelled
"We can hold up on the debate until we confirmed if these things are weaker compare to the real one." Raven took her stand.
"Fuuka, step back." Kevin turn to her.

The Four Fake Arios sent out slash projections as Neve used Reflecga to reflect it back at them, then Duvalie, Noel lung toward one Fake and slash him to knock him away with Emblem Arianrhod rapidly thrust him while Swin lung to the third one to swing his sword against him. The third fake clahs with Swin while Mistusu, Florian and Labyrts lung to the second one to attack.
The Second One backflips and then dives to a wide wind slash attack as they jump away wnd the first fake lung toward Wario to slash him. Wario dodged in the nick of time as Waluigi spinning kick him. Penny, Emblem Celica, Renne, Kammy, and Nadia throw Fire Arts toward the Fakes Arios as they swiftly dodged, then Labrys swung her axe to knock one of them away and then Aigis firing the other.
Kevin firing his Crossbell against the fake as he deflected it and then lung toward to slash him, but Ries got in front but was disarmed as Altaria threw Moonblast at him. The Fake cut it and then lung and slashed Altaria as Salamance threw Dragon Pulse, knocking the wake away as Wario grabbed a piece of the earth and threw it at him, hitting him and Waluigi ran up, repeatedly punched then uppercut, for Kevin to aim and firing his orbal arrows. The Fake recovered, then dived to avoid the arrow as Wario and Waluigi jumped away, then the Fake unleashed a wide slash to knock the Wario Bros away.
Noel and Duvalie swing their sword swiftly against the Fake but it block and parried with them until Sirfetch'd thrust attack and then Milotic ran up and slam with Aqua Tail as the Fake Arios slid. The Fake Arios vanish to attack Milotic, only for Noel to got in front and attack him. Thwn Mitsuru charge thrust attack, then rapidly thrust him as Rouge Drill kick him away and throw bombs, exposing on him.
The Fake Arios move around Rufus and Lapis and then lung to swing at them, but Gallade got in front and block the attack then used Close Combat with Rufus follow up with thrust and clash. Then Lapis ran up to swing her axe. The Fake Arios blocks kick her and then imbued his tachi with wind powers and then sent out slash projections swiftly. Gallade counters with Sacred Blade and Rufus throws Nemesis Arrow at him. Fake Arios backflip, then Florian transforms into Primape and then throw Close Combat, but he block and dodges then and counterattacks with a slash, but Emblem Lief block it and parry as Florian changes back and kick him toward Koriadon who grabbed and slam him to the ground.
The Fake Arios kick Koraidon off and then hop back on his feet as Morpeko used Aura Wheel to power grind him, but the Fake knock him away as Politoed throw Hydro Pump. He dodge and then Arios lung and slash, then lung toward Kieran and Carmine for a swing. They block the attack and Kieran throw slash and kick, but Fake Arios dodge while Carmine swirl her three section Staff to hit him. Fake Arios dodge swiftly until Kammy throw Magic at him, then Carmine swing and bash his face as Kieran curl into a ball and knock the Fake over him and then Carmine used her Three Section Staff to wrap around his neck, toss him over her and slam him hard on the ground as Omega dive attack and slam him hard on the ground.
One fake knock Omega away with a swing to assist the other as Shadow dive kick, teleport, and repeatedly kicking him until uppercut and kick him to the ground as Mabosstiff used Play Rough and Arven rush and throw a punch to knock the other away, until the other Fake pass through him, dealing a powerful slash and then slash multiple slashes and knock him and Mabosstiff away. Xiao teleported and then thrust and combo slash against the Fake, then they both swing at each other until Xiao upward thrust, knocking into the air and then he jump, pass through them and deal slashes before kicking him down.
Nemona grabbed a piece of the ground, rush and swing at him, only for the fake to dodge and counter by slashing her, knocking her away as she winched, then Quaquaval used Aqua Step, but the other Fake lung and slash him away with Twin Arcane Gale. Raven throw ice projections and at him. The Fake swing to destroy them and then lung at Raven and they swing their swords as Emerald use her Semblance to make Raven vanish, causing him to stop and then Raven deal powerful slashes around and then kick him away.
The Other Fake lung at Raven, but Sylveon used her ribbon to grabbed and bind him as Ursaring throw Focus Punch and crash to the building. The other Fake throw multiple flash projection toward the group as they each dodge while Cerluedge used Phantom Force and then reappear to attack the Fake, only to block and parry him. They swing at each other util Swin charge in to slash him, only for him to backflip and throw a wind slash projection to knock both of them away. Neve airstep and combo slash him. but the fake dodge as the other fake imbued his Tachi with wind energy, lung at him and used Fuujin's Fury.
"Chaos Control!" Shadow unleash Chaos Control and then he warp around, kicking and hitting the Fakes and then kick them all together as time resume.
"Cherubim Shot!" Kevin throw his Art.
"Flare Butterfly!" Ries yelled as she throw Orbal arts as both attack cause an explosion on the Fakes.
The Fake teleported and corner the group and throw slash projections at them to pile them together as they shield themselves. They each lung at them but Neve form a barrier to bounce off their attacks.
Before they can respond for another attack.
"Second Form: Twin Arcane Gale!" A voice yelled as someone pass through them with insane speed and slash the fakes with his craft, revealing to be the real Arios.
"What?!" Swin gasped
"Is he...?" Renne wondered
"Flash of Havoc!" A voice yelled as water-like arrows rain down on the fakes.
"Transcendent Flash!" A voice yelled as an insane speed slash through the fakes, leaving behind a trail of ice.
"That craft...!" Noel eye widen
"That voice...!" Renne gasped.
"Empty Sky Form: Summer Advance!" A voice roared as something move with superhuman speed and slam the ground with a white light, destroying the fake Arios in the progress.

"Are you all right?" Arios approached the group along with Tartaglia.
"Perfect." Renne replied. "Thanks for the help, Divine Blade of Wind."
"We're in your debt." Duvalie replied.
"Umm... What's going on?" Lapis asked
"That guy there's the real Arios. Hope so, anyway." Nadia answered
"Phew. It's finally good to meet the real one." Noel replied.
"It is good to see you are well, Divine Blade of Wind." Emblem Arianrhod spoked. "But I'm surprised to see the two of you with him."
"Especially, you." Renne folded her arms, looking at Jingliu, Froslass, and Hakumen approaching.
(Trails into Reverie ost - Invisible Hand in the Shadow)
"I see some unfamiliar faces among you, but first..." Arios said.
"Rufus Albarea." Hakumen aims his sword at him.
"Oh, here we go again." Swin frowned.
"Hold, Hakumen." Jingliu places her hand on his shoulder. "There's no need to raise your sword at him. After all." She look at Rufus. "I can assume that you are the "true" Rufus Albarea?"
"Your swift grasp of the situation is appreciated." Rufus replied. "The Last thing I wanted was to be attacked again due to another misunderstanding."
"Do you want to die?" Noel asked with his sword at his neck with a glare.
"Noel." Emblem Arianrhod scolded
"Fine... But what the heck are you doing here Tartaglia? I didn't expect you to be with Arios or the White Void and... a blindfolded lady?"
"Ah. I came to Crossbell to pick up a package. But then the occupation happened, and it was really tough to get past the guards so I had to find another way in." Tartaglia sighed. "But somewhere along the way, I encounter Arios. And after that, we ran into the White Void and this lovely lady here."
"It wasn't difficult to figure out the co-supreme leaders was a fraud under the circumstances." Arios said. "But the reason you're in Crossbell eludes me. Can you answer us, that? Take care how you respond." He unleash a small intimidation. 'There is still every chance this civil encounter could turn less so."
'All he did was glare and I still flinched...' Swin whispered
'It's like Noel with his rampage, but compared to this, this is just a small flace. The word around the block didn't do him justice.' Nadia replied.
"I've no intention of obstructing or aiding in Crossbell's independence efforts if that's your concern. I am here for one reason:This is not what I or the late chancellor wanted. As soon as I uncover the truth behind this situation at hand, I will put an end to it. It's as simple as that." Rufus answered. "As for what brings us to the police academy, I have some business with one of its prison's imates, Ian Grimwood. Was that response satisfactory?"
Tartaglia, Hakumen and Jingliu look at Arios who just stare and then nodded.
"It was." Arios said
"Whew." Nadia sigh of relief.
"Then I will accompany you."
"W-What?!" Fuuka gasped.
"And might I ask why?" Neve asked
"By some coincidence, I am also here to see Mr. Grimwood. May I, then? I should think myself more than capable of holding my own." Arios answered
"I see no reason to refuse." Rufus replied. "For all we know, we may find more replicas of you inside." Rufus replied. "It would be to our advantage to have the real Divine Blade of Wind to fend them off. You surprise me, though. Duvalie and Noel's shared of me always going to burn stronger, but I thought you would despise memore than you seem to."

I would not deny that those achievements were in part due to your leadership. Our being enemies come from our positions and ways of life. I cannot accept the methods you rook to accomplish your ambition. But that is a matter of personal preference. I bear you no ill will."

"Even if I felt otherwise, it serves me better to keep a close watch on you. That way I won't have to go looking should you give me any reason to cut you down." Arios replied

"You learn a lot about someone by spending two years opposing them." Arios said.
"Regardless, it will be a pleasure to have you, Arios Maclaine. May our short journey together prove fruitful." Rufus replied

"And what about you, Enforcer No. 7?" Rufus turn to Tartaglia. "Will you also be joining us?"
"Considering there's a fake Rufus that's blocking my way, sure. I'll gladly join you." Tartaglia smiled. "Plus, you got plenty of strong lookin' allies with you. This will be a fine sparing if I do say so myself. But of course, only when the time comes."
"Should have known that could be your reason." Noel rolled his eyes.
"Well, I always wanted to face Rufus in battle as a Master of Court Fencing. So maybe this will be a good chance. Plus, I want to help liberate Crossbell if we have the chance."
"And what about you, White Void Hakumen? And who's this lovely lady here?"
"White Void Hakumen..." Nadia stare in surprise.
"I've heard about him. A mysterious armored samurai-like warrior who travel across the world and slain many powerful monsters, grimm and demons that were almost considered impossible for mere mortals hands." Swin said. "So this is what he looks like. Words do not do him justice."
"I am here to punish the Co-Supreme Leaders for this farce and occupying Crossbell once more. However, that itself isn't the only reason. I've sense a dark presence somewhere in Crossbell. Something that distorted the world and the Septium Veins."
"A Dark presence you say?" Mitsuru asked.
"This presence is unlike any I've seen. It first arrived somewhere in October if memory serves before it vanished. Then it resurfaced two days ago and it relocated to Crossbell."
"So it wasn't my imagination after all." Xiao spoked. "I've also sense that presence. It came somewhere in the northern region. I was about to investigate it myself, but the trap distracted me. So it's here in Crossbell... is this a coincidence?"
"That's a good question." Jingliu said. "As for me. I too sense that presence. You can think of me as the White Void's traveling companion. It's been that way since we first met. You can call me Jingliu."
"Jingliu..." Noel close his eyes until he had an !? over his head. "W-Wait... you mean THE Jingliu?! The legendary Ice Blademaster of The Xianzhou Luofu?!"
Rufus, Emblem Arianrhod, Nadia, and Swin had an !? over their heads.
"Impossible." Emblem Arianrhod stood there surprised. "I thought you were dead."
"And you must be the Emblem of the Steel Maiden." Jingliu looking at Emblem Arianrhod. "Sorry if I made you sad but I have my own reasons for faking my death old friend."
"Who's Jingliu?" Lapis asked
"Jingliu. A formal leader of the Xianzhou Luofu. An Organization that is considered to be Heiyue's rival and counterpart in Calvard. Her swordsmanship was known for its elegance and coldness. As well as a woman of beauty. Last I've heard she "died" during the extermination of an infamous cult. There were also rumors that she was alive and traveling the world. And would you look at that."
"I never thought that one of the heroes who dealt with the cult would be here." Swin said
"Indeed. She was deemed one of the strongest swordswoman in Calvard. But what would the legendary warrior like yourself proclaim to be dead?" Rufus asked.
"I have my reasons." Jingliu said. "But right now, I'm just a wanderer who knows her way to fight."
"Fight blindfolded?" Neve asked.
"Hehe. Who said I was blind?"
"Either way, I can tell you're more formidable than you appear. Almost enough I would like a sparing match with you."
"Hey, I call dibs on sparing with her first!" Tartaglia pouted
"Lady Jingliu." Arios said. "Have you consider visit Cassius once this is over? He felt responsible for your "Death"."
"Who can say." Jingliu replied. "In any case. We're here to investigate and how to purge both this dark presence and defeat the co-supreme leaders. And it seems our goals also align with each other. Perhaps we should also join you. Would it be all right, Hakumen?"
"Hmph. Very well." Hakumen said. "But know this, Rufus Albarea. I do not trust you. Should I find you guilty by any means, you will face justice."
"I understand. You're not the first." Rufus smiled. "Allow me to offer my gratitude to the four of you. May our journey be fruitful."
"Score four for the Imperial Picnicking Front!" Nadia cheered.
"Can you drop that already?" Swin frowned.
Rufus heard a noise as he pulled the Black Mirror as it glowed.
"Hmm? Are we going inside?" Lapis asked
"Ahh... Yes. Of course." Rufus replied. 'I can only assume something else has happened. I was just thinking that I would not go amiss with some extra practice. Perhaps this is my chance to do so.'
