Luz was excited for the upcoming Halloween festival, but was also a bit nervous about it as well. This was the first time she was going to use her powers in public. And even though no one would know she was actually a werewolf, she was still a bit nervous about it, and recent events had not helped with that. A few days ago, she had her second full moon night. And despite her best efforts, she just couldn't keep her curse contained. Thankfully, there were no incidents this time as not only did she now know the right amount of medicine to use, but Amity's upgraded chamber was big enough to ensure that Luz's wolf side didn't feel cornered.

The human witch was still frustrated though. She really wanted to control her curse, but it seemed like it had a mind of its own during the full moon. Perhaps she just needed to get more in sync with her curse in order to make this work. So over the last few days, she had made it a routine to experiment with various different appearances she could use to attend the Halloween festival before bed. She wanted to strike a good balance that would make her look cool while at the same time not raising suspicions from anyone, and it was a surprisingly tricky balance to find.

The look she was currently trying however was her favorite one so far. She had grown her claws out while keeping her hands normal. Dark brown fur covered her entire body, and she had grown out her teeth and tail as well. In addition, her ears were pointed and she had changed her nose to look dark and wet just like a real wolf. She looked a lot like Lon Chaney Jr. in The Wolfman, and it looked like the right combination she was looking for. The only thing she couldn't change however was her eyes. She wanted to see if she could give them that yellowish look that they apparently had when she had fully transformed. But no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't make her eyes change in the slightest. Perhaps it was something that only happened when she was in full wolf form.

Oh well. She thought. I'll just get some contacts instead.

"Oh, I like that look." A voice spoke from behind her. She turned around to see Amity in her nightgown, having finished brushing up, with a smile on her face.

"You like it?" Luz said as she put her hands on her hips and smiled back.

Her fiancé nodded and blushed a little. "Very much so. I think you should definitely go with that one. Remember what we talked about with your tail though. You shouldn't have it out when we actually go to the festival."

The human witch pouted. "I know, but I like my tail. It's really starting to grow on me. No pun intended."

"I like it too. But remember, you're supposed to keep a low profile. Having a tail is not a good way to do it."

Luz sighed. Amity was right. Having the human realm find out about her curse was the last thing she wanted to happen, because she knew exactly what would happen if they did. As much as she didn't want to keep her tail hidden, she was just gonna have to suck it up.

"Alright." She said. "In that case…"

Suddenly, she walked over to her fiancé and scooped her up in her arms while having a seductive smile on her face.

"L-Luz!" The purple haired witch yelped as she blushed even harder. "What are you doing?!"

"Well, since I can't have my tail out during the festival, I might as well enjoy it now."

She placed Amity on the bed before speaking again. "Besides, I want to experiment with my powers in other ways. Wouldn't you like that?"

Amity was now as red as a tomato as her fiancé got on top of her. She had no idea how to process what was going on. In addition to trying out potential looks to use, Luz had been acting strange recently, getting closer to her and seeming more needy than usual. This however was taking it to a whole new level, and the purple haired witch shuttered as Luz smashed her lips into her own, causing her heart to start racing.

"W-What has gotten into you?" She asked in between kisses.

"What? I'm not allowed to show my fiancé some love?" The human witch replied.

"N-No. It's just, I've never seen you like this before."

"Is that a bad thing?" Luz asked as she began kissing her neck while also grinding her hips against her.

Amity smiled and let out a hum of delight as this happened. All the sudden, she didn't care why her fiancé was acting the way she was. All she knew was that she wanted more.

"No. Keep going." She said.

"As you wish, my lady." The human witch said as she began to undo her nightgown.

That was the night Amity found out Luz had become a beast in more ways than one. It was a great experience for her, and an inconvenience for Stringbean and Ghost, who had to move over to King's room so they could try and get some sleep.

"They're getting that wild, huh?" The demon asked, he too having heard the two lovebird's moment of passion.

The two palismans nodded, and he sighed.

"Let's put on a movie then. Something tells me they won't quiet down any time soon."

….

Amity let out a groan when she woke up the next morning. She had not been prepared last night for her and Luz to make love for the first time, but she very much enjoyed it. In fact, it was the best she had felt in a long time. The same could not be said however for her body. It was incredibly sore, like she had done a major workout the previous day.

Ugh. She thought. I think we may have overdone it.

She turned to her side to look at Luz, and saw that the human witch was still out like a light and snoring softly. Amity smiled. Her fiancé was adorable when she slept, especially when she was all fluffy like she was now.

Deciding not to disturb her, Amity slowly unraveled herself from Luz's arms and got out of bed before putting her clothes back on and heading downstairs for breakfast. When she entered the kitchen, she saw that Eda, Raine, and King were already up, and they all smiled when they saw her.

"Morning, sleepyhead." The owl lady said. "How was last night?"

The purple haired witch blushed. "Uhh, what?"

"Don't play dumb with me. I know what you and Luz were up to. You weren't exactly quiet about it."

At that point, Amity wished she had an invisibility glyph with her, but unfortunately she didn't. All she could do was hide her face in her hands and pretend nobody was there. Eda laughed and stood up to wrap an arm around her.

"It's alright, Boots. Honestly, you and Luz deserve it after all your hard work so far. Besides, you two are adults, so it's no big deal."

"And we won't tell anyone about it." King said. "Pinky swear."

The purple haired witch sighed heavily and removed her hands from her face. "Please don't. I'd rather not have people know about me and Luz's 'love life'."

Ghost grumbled from her bed next to the table, basically saying 'then don't be so loud when you do it'.

Amity sighed again, making a mental note to give Ghost some extra treats, then took on a slightly more serious face and turned back to Eda.

"Since we're on topic though, there is something I want to ask you and Raine about."

"Sure. What's on your mind?" The owl lady asked.

The purple haired witch took a seat at the table before continuing. "Luz has been acting odd lately. Not in a bad way, just strange."

"What do you mean?" Raine asked. "What has she been doing?"

"She's been getting a lot closer to me, like closer than usual. She's been bumping herself against me when we're walking, nuzzling me when we're sleeping, and getting more…passionate with showing affection. And obviously, you guys know what happened last night."

"Anything else?"

"Yeah, she's whipped her tail in my face a couple times, especially last night."

Eda's eyes widened a bit. "How long has she been doing this?"

"A couple weeks. It started not long after the day we went to the lake."

The owl lady and her partner looked at each other for a moment before sighing and turning back to the purple haired witch.

"Oh boy, it looks like we've reached that point." Eda said."

"What do you mean?" Amity said.

"We knew this was going to happen sooner or later." Raine said. "But we didn't tell you and Luz because you two had enough going on as is. Plus, we didn't even know when it was going to happen since the ancient texts never mentioned it."

"Mentioned what? What are you talking about?"

Eda took a deep breath before responding. "I'll just be blunt with it. It's officially lycanthrope breeding season, and Luz is in heat."

Amity's eyes got as wide as saucers, her blush returning full force. "W-What?! Are you saying she wants to…reproduce?!"

"Essentially." Raine said. "Everything you've described fits the bill. I know this is probably a bit of a shock to you, but it's nothing to worry about. What Luz is doing is perfectly normal."

"Nothing to worry about?! You just told me Luz wants to have babies with me! I mean, not that I don't want that too, but I'm not ready for that yet!"

Eda held her hand up. "Woah, slow down there. We didn't say you had to have kids right now. Besides, you and Luz are both female. You can't do that anyway without using a special potion."

"Are you sure?" Amity asked. "Like, being a lycanthrope doesn't give her the ability to…you know?"

Raine chuckled and shook their head. "No. It doesn't work that way. You don't have to worry about that."

The purple haired witch breathed a sigh of relief. She wanted to have kids with her fiancé, she really did, but this just wasn't the time. There was still a lot to handle in terms of Luz's training and preparations for the wedding, and Amity needed to put all her attention into that. Having kids was just not something she could afford to think about right now.

"Okay, that's good." She said. "Is there a way we can calm Luz down though. I mean, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy last night, but I don't know if my body can handle that on a nightly basis."

Her blush came back yet again, and Eda laughed.

"I hear ya. I don't know personally, but I know someone who probably would. One sec."

She took out her scroll and dialed Camila's number. After a few rings, the all too familiar voice of her friend answered.

"Hola, Eda! How are you doing?"

"Eh, same old as they always say. Hey listen, I'm calling because we could use your help with something. It's about Luz."

"What is it? Is she okay?"
"Yeah, she's fine. It's just that…let's just say we found out when lycanthrope breeding season starts."

There was a pause before Camila broke out in a giggle. "Oh my. She must be all over Amity right now. Well, more than usual anyway."

"Oh yeah, but I don't think she's complaining." Eda said as she glanced at the purple haired witch, who was burying her face in her hands again.

"With all seriousness though, she's pretty sore from last night, and she probably can't handle that on a regular basis. Is there a way we can calm Luz down? I don't think her normal medicine would work, as this is more about hormones than the curse itself."

"I agree." Camila said. "We do use natural remedies like herbal supplements and essential oils to help dogs in heat, but I'm not sure how well that would work on Luz. It's a good place to start though. Being natural, it won't hurt her, even if it doesn't work."

"Sounds good. Can you send me a list of them?"

"Of course. I'll send you one now. There's no need to rush though. Based on what you told me, last night has probably made Luz more mellow for a few days, so you should have some time."

"Good to hear. Thanks, Camila."

"Any time. Listen, is Amity there?"

"Yes." The purple haired witch said shyly as she stood up and walked over.

"Hi, Amity!" How are you?"

"I'm good, thank you for asking."

"Good to hear. Listen, is Luz making you uncomfortable with how she's been acting? I know this must be a lot for you."

The purple haired witch shook her head. "Not at all, Mrs. Noceda, and I'm being serious with that. In fact…it's actually kind of flattering. Though I do agree Luz should slow down a bit."

Camila laughed. "Yeah, you could say that with a lot of things about her. But hey, if she's doing that, then that means she sees you as her mate, and she's fully dedicated to you. Just remember that."

Now Amity smiled. "Yeah, she's very loyal, but I would expect nothing less from her."

"Neither would I. Just let me know if she starts getting carried away, alright?"

"Okay." The purple haired witch said with a giggle. "I'll also tell Luz what you told me when she wakes up."

"Please do, and tell her to call me when I get out of work today. I want her to tell me all about her performance last night."

Amity made a face and blushed yet again. "Is that really appropriate? I don't think she needs to be embarrassed like that."

"I'm her mother, remember? That's kind of my job."

"She's right, Amity." King said. "Trust me, I speak from experience."

The purple haired witch blinked for a few moments before bursting out laughing along with everyone else. There was just no arguing with that, and poor Luz had no idea what she was in for later that day. Long story short, it was one of the most awkward and embarrassing moments of her life.
