Now here we go
All of us woke up early to get ready for the day the other heroes looking tired like they hardly slept or more like they are used to sleeping into the day.
We ate breakfast and then went to the throne room where the king and others are waiting for us.
The big doors of the throne room opened as the king said "The heroes Enter."
The first thing we saw was a group of 14 strangers all of them dressed in there own different way.
We lined up in front of the king then bowed down and after a moment we stood up.
"As we discussed yesterday, I have called for others to assist you in your journey. Apparently my call did not go unheeded." The king said
"Now then, gathered adventurers, please choose the Hero with whom you Will travel with." The king finished
I stand beside the sword hero as two people stood before me
4 people stood before Ren.
Four people stood before Motoyasu.
Three people stood before Itsuki.
And no one stood behind Naofumi.
"But sir!" Naofumi called to the king
The king was unnerved by my protest. He spoke, "I did not anticipate anything like This."
"He's not very popular, is he?" The minister sighed, as if there was nothing he could do About it. The king, for his part, seemed disinterested.
"So there are rumors?" the king asked.
"What is it?" Motoyasu asked. He wore an expression of worry.
"It seems that people are whispering around the castle. They are saying that among The four Heroes, the Shield Hero does not know very much about our world." The king answered.
"What?!" Naofumi asked.
"The legends say that the four summoned Heroes will have an understanding of our land. People are wondering if you will truly be able to fulfill the conditions set out in The legends."
Motoyasu poked Naofumi in the side with his elbow.
"I guess someone was eavesdropping on us last night." Motoyasu said
"I don't think so if someone was there I would have told you guys" I told Motoyasu
I turn to the king and Bowe down "Excuse me your highness may I speak my mind?"
The king raised an eye brow and said "Go ahead sir Dream"
"I think you should investigate this base less rumor and make sure that the responsible person is punished" I said
"I agree" Ren said
"Alright, I shall start an investigation as you asked" The king answered
I nod and turned to Naofumi as he said "Ren! You can't even use five people! Let's share!"
The adventures standing around Ren (and men among them) all suddenly huddled Behind him, quaking in their boots. They were behaving like terrified little sheep.
Ren looked annoyed, and scratched his head, perplexed. Then he said, "I'm more of a Loner, myself. So if you can't cut it, I'm leaving you behind."
He said it relatively forcefully, but none of the people behind him showed any signs of Moving.
"Motoyasu! What do you think of this? Isn't it horrible?!" Naofumi said
"Well I don't want to be biased here… but uh…" Motoyasu said
"I suppose it would be fair to split them evenly, with each of us getting three. But then Again, it's not gentlemanly to deny them once they've made their decision." Itsuki said
"Dream what about you?" Naofumi asked
I turn to the two in my team "would any of you two be willing to help Naofumi for now?" I asked
They refused " Sorry Naofumi they refused, but can you wait 3 days so we can do our test run before I decided who I'll join."
Before Naofumi answer me a red haired girl came out of Motoyasus party and said "Sir, if it please you, I could serve with the Shield Hero."
"Hmm? Are you sure?" Motoyasu asked
"Are there any others among you that would throw your lot in with Mr. Naofumi?" …No one moved a muscle. The king sighed heavily.
"I suppose there is no way around it. Mr. Naofumi, you'll have to recruit others to Accompany you while you are traveling. Each month, I will supply all of you with the Necessary funds for your journey, though in compensation for today's events, Naofumi's first payment will be higher than the others."
"Y…Yes, sir!"
"Now then, Heroes, I have set aside these funds for you. Please accept them."
Attendants placed envelopes in front of each of us.
I could hear something heavy and metallic rattling inside the packages.
"I have set aside 800 pieces of silver for Mr. Naofumi, and 600 pieces for the rest of You. Please take these funds and begin your journey." The king finished
"Yes sir!" We all answered in unison.
Each of us made our obligatory bow of gratitude before backing out of the audience Chamber. Once we were all out of the throne room I walked up to Ren.
"Hey Ren lets introduce our parties to etch other" Suddenly two pop ups appeared in front of me
Alert: Rose flower-vain And Shiro wolf-Vain want to join you party, accept? .
Alert: Ren Amaki invite you to join there party, accept?.
"So there's a party system, huh? " I said as I expected both.
"So Dream how about we go to a bar so we can get to know etch other there" Ren said
I agree then I turn to Rose and Shiro and say "as a vassal weapon user I can join a heroes party so I'll have to see how I work with etch other so I could know who is the one that I'll join permanently, are you two okay with that?" I asked the two
"I will be alright with that sir hero" Shiro said
"Oh, alright sir heroe, but is it okay if I ordered a none alcoholic beverage?" Rose answered and asked
"Sure, on and feel free to just call me Dream or sir Dream if you really need the honorific"
Shiro just nodded and Rose smiled happily and said "thank you sir Dream"
When we got to the tavern we sat down and some of us ordered a drink then Ren stood up and gestures for me to Stand up, we stood side by side at the head of the table.
"I think everyone here know who we are but we want to explain something Dream here is a temporary member he would join us for the day then he will move to the next heroes party, anyway from left to right introduced your selves" Ren said explaining then commanding
A girl stood up" Hello, may name is Theresia ,you can find a lot of knowledge when we talk"
A guy stood up and start to speak "hi my name is Welt I'm a good sword fighter if you want to spar you can ask for one!"
Another guy stood up and start speaking "hey my name is Bakter I'm professions with magical language and I can cast some spells"
The last guy from Rens parts of the group "hello, my name is Fauly I'm good with survival skills so you can rely on me when you need help!"
Then the girl that joined as my party member " My name is Rose Flower-vain you guys can call me rose my last name is hand full after all." Rose is a beautiful woman she's about 160 cm she has a necklace with a claw hanging from it, she has long purple hair, she has an armor that doesn't hender her movement but give her good protection, she has a longsword sheathed on her said.
Last but not the least the guy that joined my party stood up " My name is Shiro wolf-Vain, nice to meet you all, I'd appreciate if you call me by my first name, my family name is quite the mouth full" Shiro is a white haired man he has a noble look to him, he is about 175 cm high, he has yellow eyes a strand of his white hair is black, he has an armor that looks like a suit his weapon is a scythe.
"Now that introduction is finished we can start on the plan I have in mind, I want you guys to help us get the layout of the capital then we go to level up a bit then we scavenge for materials, so what do you say Dream?" Ren said then asked
"I'm alright with that, but ask our party if they are alright with that too" I answer
Ren was about to say something as I remember that he sees this world as a game so I cut him off before he start "you still think this is a game?" I look him in the eyes looking a bit upset.
"yes?" He answered
I turned to Rose "hey Rose can you please come here for a second?" I asked
Rose smiled and stood up "sure what do you need sir Dream?" She asked as she got beside us
"Can you please give me your arm please?" I ask
"Uhhh sure?" She answered
"Does game characters have a heart beat?" I ask Ren as I took his hand and put it on her wrist and feel her heart beat.
"D-Dream what are yo-oh" Ren cut himself of in shock.
"And if this not enough" I turned to Shiro "hey Shiro can you take us to somewhere to show the darkness in this world?" I asked
"Yes, please fallow me" Shiro answered
I keep a hold on Rens arm and fallow Shiro the rest of the party fallowing us after a bit we arrived at a big circus when we entered we say monsters in cages, and we stopped as a short creepy guy walked to us
"Oh welcome to my store I'm the monster trader what brought you here good sirs?" He asked
"Sir Dream it's better if you and sir Ren are the only ones to fallow" Shiro said to us as he turned to the monster trader "take us to the other part of your business" Shiro finished saying.
" Oh sure good sir fallow me right here!" He said in a creepy happy voice
He Leeds us to a room with cages full of beast-men and demi-humans I look with shock and Ren froze up looking really upset and we only stopped at a cage with a weasel girl with pink hair looking weak and sick
"Slaves-" I say in anger my purple eyes became wolf like.
I turn to Ren his face is angry almost murderous I put my hand on my shoulder "you see what did I mean about this world not being a game, I don't know if this is enough for yo-"
Ren walked up to the slave trader and said "how much for the girl?"
The slave trader answered "5 silver pieces, but because this is your first time here 4 silver pieces and 50 copper"
Ren pulled out the money and paid for the girl then he turned to the cage and opened it and gently pulled her out "free her, now" Ren said to the slave trader
"I'd advise against that sir hero, if she is free most likely she will be killed or will become a slave again, in this country they see demi-humans and beast-men as second rate members of the population, you are better off making her your slave" The slave trader answered
"Fine what do we need to do?" Ren asked
"Just fallow me and I'll transfer her to your ownership" He answered
We fallowed him and the slave trader request a drop of blood then he added it to the ink then did something to the seal and a new name popped up in the party.
Slave A joined the party
Before we left Ren asked the slave trader for the rest of the ink then he poured it into his swords gem then he gave the rest to me so I repeat his action.
Slave user gauntlets unlocked
Level 10 required to be able to use and unlock permanent bonuses
Ren took the little weasel girl and gently held her up
"Dream Shiro let's go we need to save her life" Ren said as he started to speed walk and we fallowed him
When we got back to the party he asked if anyone of them know where to find a doctor who can help her and Theresia took us to a apothecary the moment he saw the girl he made us put her on the table as he checked her.
"She needs cough medicine" The apothecary said
"How much does it cause" I asked
" About 30 silver coins" The man said
Ren was about to pull out that money but I do that before him "just make sure she is safe" I said
Me and Ren kept watch until the girl woke up.
"W-Where am I?" She screamed out of fear
Ren ran up to her and calmed her down then asked "What is your name kid?"
"Ri-Rifana" She said weakly
Suddenly her name appeared instead of slave A
I get closer as Ren turned to introduce me I changed how I look now I have wolf ears and tail and wolf eyes and claws
"Hey there little Rifana, I'm Dream and this is Ren he is the sword hero And I'm the Gauntlet Vassal hero" I say in a happy voice as the light came back to her dull eyes
"Dream how did yo-" Ren was saying but he got cut off as Rifana huge him as she started to cry
"I knew one of you wo-would save me, thank you, thank you so much!" Rifana kept crying as Ren eyes soften as he turned to the apothecary and said " Is it okay for you to keep her on the observation while we level up?"
The apothecary eyes softly looked at the girl as he answered "she is sick and it's my job to keep her healthy, please sir hero can you put her in the observation room"
Ren followed The guy as Rifana feel asleep from crying he laid her down on the bed and turned to the apothecary and asked "how much I owe you for this?"
I turned back to my human form
The apothecary turned to Ren with a smile "no, need to pay for this you being a true hero to someone as young as her is enough"
Ren looked shocked and bowed down and said "Thank you for your kindness great sir"
The Apothecary smiled and lead us to the door of the shop and said "if you can sir hero can you collect some herbs and bring them here, I'll be paying of course"
Ren nodded "will do, now see you later" after that we left.
We walked to a blacksmith one of Rens party members know when we got there we entered and a bulled guy welcomed us in "Welcome" he looked at me as I was looking at the place only looking at the good to great quality stuff "I see this isn't your first time in a blacksmith, what brought you here young man?"
I turn to Ren letting him lead, Ren walked up to the man and said "excuse me sir, can you tell me if it's alright if I copy your swords?"
The man looked confused "what do you mean by that kid?"
"The legendary weapons have the ability to copy the same type of weapon as long as they touch it for at least 5 seconds or less" Ren explained and I believe that he won't lie about something like that and suddenly a pop up appeared.
Alert: you can touch weapons that are similar to your weapon and copy them they might unlock the whole series if it belongs to one.
The man got a bit upset "isn't that like stealing my hard work making those weapons?"
I walk to stand beside Ren and say "then how about this, we pay you one silver for etch weapon we copy we make, so both sides gain something out of this"
The man give it a moment of thought then say "alright sound good enough to me but I only have few gauntlets because it's not a really famous weapon" He went to the back of the shop and brought 3 gauntlets one made out of leather another made out of metal the last made out of wood
I bring out 3 silver and copy etch as Ren went to copy a few swords.
Alert: Brown Wooden Gauntlets have been unlocked, the rest of the wood series is unlocked.
Alert: Magic Iron Gauntlets have been unlocked.
Alert: you have unlocked leather gauntlets equip to gain permanent bonuses.
I change the gauntlets into the leather gauntlets to unlock the bonuses.
After we finished we checked on our money bags I had about 567 silver I turned to the blacksmith and asked "how much for an armor that doesn't lower my agility but keep me protected?"
The blacksmith stopped a moment to take in my looks then said "light leather armor of high quality would cost you 300 silver"
I take a moment then I pulled out the money he asked for as I took the armor and changed into it "Your work is high quality it is worth it's price"
The man looked happy with the Paris and I counted how much I have left, I have now about 267 silver, after that I waited for Ren to finish getting ready, after that we left to the forest around the capital.
"Now we will split into 4 groups of 2 me and Dream are the first group, rose and Shiro are the second the rest you decide on your own" After he said that Ren started to walk away and I followed him
"So, why did you want us to get alone?" I asked even though I know why.
"Thank you for making me realize this world is real, I don't know how many foolish mistakes I would have made if you didn't snap me out of that way of thinking" He said as he bowed
"Stand up Ren, I just prepared the way, you are the one who walked on it not me" I say feeling a bit embarrassed and a bit of pride
Ren stood up then had a curious look in his eyes "but can I ask how did you become a demi-human? And how are you back to human again?" He asked
"Well, it's just a natural ability my people have so I just can change whenever I want, I just keep the other forms for dangerous situations" I say as I hear something coming closer " Keep your gard up something coming " I say as an orange balloon jump at me from behind as I turn to it and try to attack it, I hit it ones nothing happened other than it's HP going down by half I hit it another time it popped and it's pieces dropped to the ground.

I hear a lot of movement sounds and so did Ren as he said "get ready a lot of them are coming" I grunt as I get attacked by multiple balloon some of them has different colors, and like this the day go when we are not getting attacked we gather materials like herbs and monster parts, we absorbed some balloon parts and some herbs and we unlocked some stuff.
Orange balloon gauntlets unlocked, red balloon gauntlets unlocked, yellow balloon gauntlets unlocked.
Leaf gauntlets unlocked equip bones every time you pick up plants like herbs the quality would be improved on.
I reached level 6
And Ren reached level 8
We meet up with the rest of the party as we reentered the capital and returned to the apothecary to pick up Rifana she was awake and a lot better me and Ren got 25 silver etch and now I have 292 silver.
While we are walking Rifana kept looking sneaking glances at me so when I see her glance at me again I put a finger to my lips transforming my fingers and eye as I make a shush gesture she gasped then nodded as I transformed back.
"S-so what are your names" Rifana asked me and Ren
We introduced our selves as Rifana looked like this is the best day in her life 'it might as well be Dream this girl when you bought her she was literally a ball of despair and sadness and pain now her sadness is the only remaining one' Sam said 'there is a lot of hope in her now' Light said I smile happily as I pat her head
We arrived at the IN and we paid for 3 rooms one for me and Ren one for the girls one for the guys after that we went to the tavern to eat dinner suddenly I feel a lot of malaise I look where did it comes from and I see the red haired girl from Naofumis party while she's eating dinner with him.
I shrug as I think that she thought about something upsetting so I didn't want to intrude.
After dinner me and Ren retired to our room I was about to lay down on my bed but Ren started speaking "do you think the other 3 know this place isn't a game?"
I hummed then and I answered "I think Naofumi is the only one who think of this world as real"
Ren sighed "we really need to convince the other two that this place isn't a game or they will fuck this place up"
I just sighed "I know can we please just rest I'm really tired Ren and I'll have to deal with a delusional kid tomorrow" I lay down and try to sleep
"Fine, rest well Dream" Ren said
"You too. . . ." I mumbled falling asleep.
Sooooo this is something took too long to be honest for me of course
