"Five years have passed, since the day Kushina and I had became a couple. Ever since then, not a single bully bothered us, again. And also... Kushina made me promise to never bow or grovel in front of anyone else, ever again. Or else, she'll knock me out or worse..."
A bunch of preteens were sitting inside of a Konoha Academy classroom. Everyone had grown up a bit. All the kids within the classroom were wearing Konohagakure headbands-symbolizing that they had passed the graduation exams.
Akira Uchiha, whom was now twelves years old was currently wearing a black long-sleeved and high-collared black shirt with an Uchiha crest on the back of it. He also wore a pair of white pants that goes down to his knees. He had a shuriken pouch wrapped around his right pant leg. He also wore a pair of black Genin shoes and a black Konohagakure headband. Symbolizing that he was now a Shinobi.
Kushina Uzumaki was twelve years old, also. She had worn a short yellow dress with a black wrap around her stomach. She wore long black socks that goes up pass her knees and to her thighs. She wore a pair of brown shoes and a blue Konohagakure headband. Her hair had grown a bit longer.
"As of today, you all have become full-fledged Shinobi. However, you're all still Genin. In life, you will all face difficulties as Shinobi. And now, you will be assigned in a squad of three-and will carry out your missions under your Jonin teachers." The Konoha Academy sensei had informed the class.
'A group of three...' Both Akira and Kushina had thought in unison.
"The groups have been determined so that the strength of the groups will be balanced." The Konoha Academy sensei had then started reading the papers. "Now, for the assignments! Starting... with Team One!"
A Few Minutes Later...
A few minutes passed and the Konoha Academy sensei had formed the first five Genin teams. "And now, for Team Six..." The Konoha Academy sensei had said begun to form Team Six. "Akira Uchiha."
Akira had silently gasped. 'He called my name. So, that must mean...'
"Next is Minato Namikaze." The Konoha Academy sensei had called.
'Minato...' Akira had thought to himself. He looked to Minato Namikaze, whom was sitting on the opposite side of the classroom. He saw Minato looking right back at him. There was no bad blood or anything. They were still friends.
'Minato, huh?' Kushina who sat on one of the top rows of the class had looked at Minato from above. 'The blonde coward who refused to help me when the boys tried to bully me when we first met. I can admit that he has good skills from what I've seen over the years. But still... I want to be paired with Akira.' Kushina had glanced to Akira.
"And the final member of the squad is... Kushina Uzumaki." The Konoha Academy sensei had announced.
Kushina had gasped after hearing her name called. 'That's me!'
'I'm paired with Kushina...' Akira had thought to himself, then looked to Kushina who sat above her. Kushina had stared back at Akira, who had a smile on her face.
"I was placed on the same team with my girlfriend. It felt like a dream-turned into a reality. I mean, how close can we get?"
A few more minutes had passed as the Konoha Academy sensei had read all ten Genin teams within the classroom. "Okay. That's all of the Genin Teams. I'll introduce you to your Jonin teachers. Until then, you are all dismissed.
Later That Day...
During lunch period... Akira Uchiha and Kushina were standing within the Konohagakure courtyard. They had embraced each other in joy and in relief. The blue sky was clear and the sun was out.
"We did it, Akira! We finally made it on the same team, together." Kushina said, filled with nothing but joy.
"Yeah. I'm really excited, too." Akira had smiled, also. Shortly after saying that the hug had broken up.
"Now, that you and I placed on the same team, Akira, you and I can come up with our own special tag team attack jutsu on bad guys and-"
"There you are, Akira..."
"Mm?" Both Akira and Kushina had suddenly heard another voice call Akira. They had both looked to see an adult woman dressed in a black long-sleeved turtleneck sweater with an Uchiha crest on the back. The woman had worn a white skirt that goes down to her shin and a pair of black slippers. It was Akira's mother, Azumi Uchiha.
"Mom?" Akira had called as he stared at her.
"I have been looking for you for a little while." Azumi said as she walked toward her son.
"Um... what brings you here?" Akira asked.
"I came and took some time off of work, because I wanted to come and personally congratulate you on becoming a Genin." Azumi had given Akira a smile.
"Uh, thank you. Mom." Akira smiled, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"I was surprised that my mother had showed up to congratulate me. Usually, she works an eight hour shift at the supermarket. It must've been her lunch break if she's here."
Kushina had looked to Akira's mother after hearing Akira call her.
Azumi had then looked to Kushina Uzumaki. "And whom is your friend? I saw you two hugging a moment ago."
Akira had gasped, surprisingly. "You saw that?"
"Mm-hmm." Azumi had smiled. "You two were hugging for quite a while."
"I-I'm Kushina Uzumaki, ya know!" Kushina yelled in a nervous tone. She had a bit of a pink blush on her face.
"Kushina..." Azumi had said. Then, something had clicked in her mind as if she had put two and two together. "So... you must be the pretty little redhead that my son is infatuated with."
Kushina gasped. "Infatuated?"
"M-mom!" Akira said, feeling embarrassed.
"Mm-hmm." Azumi had nodded, then begun to whisper into Kushina's right ear. "One night, I overheard him muttering in his sleep..."
Flashback
One night as the stars had shined and the crescent moon was hovering within the sky... Azumi Uchiha was walking in her apartment, putting away laundry. Until she had passed Akira's room and overheard muttering.
Akira's bedroom door was cracked open for Azumi to hear. She had peaked through the bedroom door and saw Akira twisting and turning in his bed.
"K-Kushina... Kushina..." Akira had muttered in his sleep.
Azumi had smiled.
End Flashback
"He kept muttering your name over and over in his sleep. I think that must mean, he likes you." Azumi whispered to Kushina.
"M-Mom, please! Not in public." Akira had begged as he looked to his left and right. 'Whenever mom starts whispering something, it's always something embarrassing about me!' Akira thought in an embarrassed tone.
"Oh... It's nice to know that." Kushina had muttered with a blush. 'To be honest, I kind of do the same thing whenever I sleep. Whenever I think about Akira, I sometimes catch myself twisting and turning in bed.'
"I like your red hair, by the way." Azumi smiled as she complimented Kushina.
Kushina had surprisingly gasped after hearing the compliment. "T-thank you very much!" She said in fast paste and nodded. "And I like your hair and outfit." Kushina had complimented.
"Why, thank you." Azumi had smiled at Kushina.
"And I'm also infatuated with Akira, too! He's the nicest person that I've ever met." Kushina said.
"Well, that's nice." Azumi smiled, then looked to her son. "Well, Akira. I must return to work, now. Take care."
"Oh, right. Thank you for coming here, mom." Akira said.
"But before I go, Akira... can I get a-"
Suddenly, Akira Uchiha had hugged his mother, Azumi by wrapping his arms around her stomach. Hugging her.
Azumi had looked down at her son and placed her hand on his right shoulder. Rubbing it a bit.
"Um, Misses Akira..." Kushina had called for Azumi's attention. "Can I?"
"Mm-hmm." Azumi nodded. Giving Kushina permission. After the hug between Akira and Azumi had broken, Azumi extended a hand toward Kushina.
Kushina had smiled and ran toward Azumi and hugged her.
Azumi had smiled as she placed her right hand on Kushina's left shoulder.
Later That Day...
After lunch period had ended and Azumi Uchiha had left the Academy to return to work... the now formed Team Six, such as Akira Uchiha, Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze had sat in an empty Konoha classroom.
"After my mother left... me and my new squad were now ready to meet our new Jonin leader."
Suddenly, the door had opened up, which caught Akira, Kushina and Minato's attention. There was no one walking through the door. It was just left open.
'The door's open.' Kushina had thought.
'I wonder, who's-' Akira had suddenly gasped when he suddenly saw two balls wrapped in white cloth roll into the room in front of the chalkboard.
'Balls?' Both Akira and Kushina had thought in unison as they stared at the spheres.
Minato Namikaze, whom was now apart of Team Six had stared at the balls, closely. His eyes narrowed as he stared at the wraps. He realized they were smokebombs. "Mmph! Guys, get-"
But before Minato could warn his new comrades... the smokebombs had bursted within the room. Covering the front of the classroom. Team Six had raised their guards.
"What the heck is going on?" Kushina asked in confusion.
Akira had stared at the smoke for a second, until...
"WHY HEEEEEEEELLLLOOOO!"
Akira, Kushina and Minato had quietly gasped as they heard a voice. The smoke had begun to clear up a bit to where they saw a person.
Kushina was prepared to take a fighting stance as she assumed that there was an intruder.
Akira had slightly tilted his head to the right as he stared at the person. The man had worn a white robe with red flames at the tip of his sleeves and a fishnet under it. The guy had white spiky hair-almost similar to Minato's. And he had red markings on his face under his eyes and black pupils. This was Jiraiya: The Gallant.
Jiraiya had then begun to perform his flashy poses in front of Akira, Kushina and Minato as he moved his arms and legs. "And if you are wondering who I am... I am known as Master Jiraiya the Gallant! The proud hermit of Mount Myōboku and the wisest member of the Legendary Sannin!" Jiraiya had proudly introduced himself to his new Team. Team Six.
Author's Note: I understand that in the original story that Jiraiya had a team consisting of himself, Minato and two other no-named Ninja that we never knew about. I wish Kishimoto had exploited those two characters. So, I replaced those two and put my OC and Kushina instead.
