Author's Note: This chapter takes place when Kumo-Nin tries to abduct Kushina.

"It has been one day, since me and my friends had met our since. And the first thing Jiraiya the Gallant made us do was..."

"Wow, I'm actually impressed! You managed to steal the bells from me." Jiraiya said as he stood in front of his three students. They had stood within Konoha's training grounds and performed the bell test to see if they were smart and skilled enough.

Akira Uchiha, Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze had stood in front of Jiraiya-all exhausted and had scratches on their bodies and clothes. Akira Uchiha had Kushina's right arm over his shoulder as he tried to help her up on her feet.

Minato had stood on his own two feet. He had a few scratches on his pants, jacket and a few smudges on his face. But, he managed to steal one of the silver bells from Jiraiya.

"You all pass the bell test." Jiraiya had smiled and gave his students a thumbs up.

Akira Uchiha and Kushina Uzumaki had gasped, happily, after learning that they had passed. They earned the right to stay on Team Six. Minato, on the other hand had smiled in relief.

"I was very relieved that we managed passed the Bell Test. That was the first and most difficult trial that I have ever gone through in my life. And to be honest... This was just the beginning."

One Year Later...

"For the past year, we... Team Six had done a number of missions that Jiraiya-sensei could find. Thirty missions, at least from D-Rank to C-Rank. During the one year time skip... Kushina had to go away for only a few days. And when she had returned... Konoha learned that the Ichidaime Hokage's wife, Mito Uzumaki had passed away. A week after her funeral, Kushina revealed a dark secret to me. And that's when I would learn that Kushina had became the Jinchūriki of the strongest Bijuu... the Kyūbi."

One day, the sky was orange, and the sun was beginning to set. Akira Uchiha and Kushina Uzumaki were currently walking toward a fancy residence that Kushina had stayed in, after leaving the grocery store that Akira's mother works. They both held brown bags filled with groceries. They walked on a road side by side. Kushina was on Akira's left.

"Thank you for choosing to walk me home, Akira." Kushina had smiled as she and Akira had walked on a road that led to Kushina's residence.

"Of course. I'm happy to walk you home." Akira had grinned.

Kushina saw Akira's nice grin. This didn't just make her smile, but it made her slightly turn her head away. She had a light blush on her cheeks and her eyes averted to the opposite direction from where Akira was. "So..."

"Hm?" Akira replied in response.

"Do you... want to stay the night with me?" Kushina had asked as she kept looking in the opposite direction of Akira.

"Stay the night?" Akira had asked.

"Y-You know. When people have a very close bond with one another... they would sleep under the same roof, together." Kushina asked in a shy tone.

Akira had thought for a moment, then blushed when he realized what it meant. "Wait, you mean..." Akira pointed at Kushina. "You..." He then pointed at himself. "And me? Sleeping under the same roof, together?"

"Mm-hmm." Kushina had nodded as she kept walking.

"Sharing the same room, together?" Akira asked.

"Well, I-I don't know about sharing the same room, together. I just... want some company for the night. That's all." Kushina had muttered.

"But... aren't we a bit too young to be thinking about doing that kind of stuff?" Akira had kept blushing while he asked.

"What? What is that supposed to mean?" Kushina asked in response.

"I-I mean, we're too young to be doing "That" kind of stuff." Akira had answered.

"What's "That?" kind of stuff?" Kushina asked in a sassy tone.

"Y-You know... sleeping together, and-"

Kushina had stopped walking and gently kicked Akira's left lower leg with her right foot.

"Ow..." Akira grunted when he felt Kushina's kick to his left leg. It wasn't too hard, but it did hurt him a bit.

"I wasn't asking if you wanted to sleep with me! I just wanted us to have a sleepover, that's all!" Kushina yelled at Akira. Her face was as red as a tomato. She was embarrassed.

"O-Okay, okay. I get it. I'm sorry for assuming that you wanted us to..." Akira had begun to apologize as he tried to ignore the pain.

"You know what, forget it. Let's just go." Kushina said, then had taken charge.

Akira had sighed to himself, disappointingly. 'What did I just do?' Deep down, Akira realized he messed up.

A Bit Later That Day...

Akira Uchiha, and Kushina Uzumaki had spent seven minutes walking on the road to the residence, until they arrived at the fancy residence that Kushina had stayed on the side of a hill. The cherry blossom petals had danced around as they were close to the residence. They arrived at the front door.

Kushina was about to open the front door, until... she had stopped.

"Hm? What's wrong, Kushina?" Akira asked as she watched Kushina suddenly pull back from the front door.

"Um... Akira?" Kushina had called.

"Yes?" Akira had replied.

"I... I'm sorry for kicking you, earlier." Kushina had apologized.

"Eh?" Akira had thought for a moment, until he realized what she meant. "Oh, no. Don't worry. I should've been careful with my words." Akira had chuckled as he tried to brush it off.

"Hm." Kushina had smiled as she felt the menatl burden fall off her shoulders.

"And also..." Akira had added.

"Eh?" Kushina looked to Akira.

"I wouldn't mind being invited to a sleepover." He smiled and gave Kushina a thumbs up.

Kushina had smiled, and lightly blushed. "Thank you." She had then turned to the door, and opened it. "We're home!" Kushina said as she, and Akira had arrived at the main entrance of the residence. They had both taken off their shoes at the front entrance, and walked in the halls. Kushina was leading Akira to the kitchen where they can set down their groceries.

A Minute Later...

"Wow. This is a really nice home." Akira had commented Kushina's residence as he walked through the halls. He stared at the setting sun through the glass windows.

"Thank you." Kushina had smiled.

After half a minute of walking, Akira and Kushina had arrived at the kitchen within her residence. They sat down their groceries on the table within the kitchen.

"Alright. Now that we have brought the groceries, it's time that I help you make supper." Akira said as he clasped his hands together, and chuckled.

"Right." Kushina smiled, and nodded. But then, something had appeared in her mind. "But, I just can't help but wonder..."

"What is it?" Akira asked.

"Where did they go?" Kushina asked as she wondered.

"Where did who go?" Akira asked Kushina.

"You know, my legal guardians. They should've been here right about now." Kushina asked as she placed her hands on her hips and wondered.

"Maybe... they're running a little?" Akira asked as he wanted to give Kushina's guardians the benefit of the doubt.

"Heh."

Both Kushina, and Akira had gasped, when they heard a random chuckle. It was masculine, and it came from the outside door of the kitchen. Their attention was to the kitchen door. Both young Shinobi were cautious.

'That chuckle, just now... it couldn't have came from an animal. It had to came from-' Akira had thought, before his thought process had been interrupted by an appearance. A tall man dressed in a Kumogakure uniform had suddenly appeared at the entrance of the kitchen door. The man had worn a Kumogakure headband bandana.

"Well, well... Look what we have here." A Kumo-Nin had said as he stared down at both Kushina, and Akira from the kitchen door entrance.

Both Akira, and Kushina had gasped in shock as they stared at a Kumo trespasser.

'This person...' Akira had stared at the tall man from Kumogakure. He then glanced upward and stared at the trespasser's headband. He saw a symbol of a cloud on the trespasser's headband. 'Wait a second. I've seen that symbol in a textbook at least four times. Then, that means... he's from Kumogakure! But, what is he doing here in the Land of Fire?'

"W-What do you want? How did you get in my home?" Kushina asked in an intimidated manner.

"Isn't it obvious?"

Both Akira, and Kushina heard a voice coming from behind them. They had looked back by the large kitchen window, and saw two more Kumo-Nin appear from the shadows. They gasped in shock as they realized there were surrounded.

"We came to rescue you." One of the Kumo-Nin that stood in front of the kitchen window had said and pointed at Kushina.

"C-Came to rescue me?" Kushina asked, hesitantly.

"Yeah. We know how much this village had enslaved you. So, we came to set you free. Jinchūriki" The other Kumo-Nin that had appeared from the shadows by the kitchen window had grinned as he stared down at Kushina.

Kushina's heart had sunk, when she heard one of the Kumo-Nin had called her by her status. At that moment, she learned that the Kumo-Nin were not there to set her free... but, to kidnap her and take her to Kumogakure as a prisoner. Her eyes were flooded with fear.

Akira heard their conversation and quietly analyzed the situation. 'Wait... they just called her a Jinchūriki! Which means... they're going to kidnap her!' He frowned, and gulped. "You're not taking Kushina!"

"This isn't a discussion, kid!" The Kumo-Nin that stood at the kitchen entrance had told Akira.

"We will show no mercy to anyone who gets in our way."

"Especially, to child Shinobi." One of the Kumo-Nin that stood in front of the kitchen window had pulled out a kunai as he stared at Akira's Konoha headband. So did the Kumo-Nin that stood next to him had pulled out a kunai.

'Tch!' Akira had clenched his teeth. 'They all have kunai, and they're all very serious!' A sweat beed had begun to form on Akira's right cheek. 'But, I can't let them take Kushina. If I do, it's all over!' Akira had then closed his eyes. 'I have to give it everything I got, if we both want to make it out of here, alive!' He then thought about his loved ones, such as Minato Namikaze, Jiraiya the Gallant, Kushina... and especially, his mother, Azumi Uchiha. He then opened his eyes with a fire within them and activated the...

Sharingan!

One of the Kumo-Nin had flinched a bit, once they saw Akira's red eyes. "What's this?"

Akira had frowned at two of the Kumo-Nin with his three-tomoe Sharingan.

'Over the past few years, I've trained to use my Sharingan. It was thanks to Jiraiya-sensei's training that I actually matured it, during the past year. I can admit that I'm not the best Sharingan user in the Uchiha Clan... but I can still make great use of them."

"Hey. What's going on?" The Kumo-Nin that stood by the kitchen door had asked his two teammates.

"This kid... he just changed the color of his eyes, all of a sudden..." One of the Kumo-Nin that stood in front of the window stated.

"What? What color are they?" The Kumo-Nin that stood at the kitchen door entrance had asked.

"They're red! With three black dots." One of the Kumo-Nin answered.

"Red, eh?" The Kumo-Nin that stood by the kitchen entrance then looked at the back of Akira's long-sleeved dark blue shirt and noticed the Uchiha crest on the back of it. 'That crest. And what they say is true, then that could mean...' Akira turned his attention to Akira. "You're an Uchiha, aren't you?"

Akira had swiftly look to the Kumo-Nin that stood by the door. "Yes, I am!"

"I see..." The Kumo-Nin that stood at the kitchen entrance stroked his chin in an intriguing manner. "We can use that Sharingan of yours within our ranks!" He said as he pulled out his kunai. He, and his comrades were prepared to attack.

Meanwhile...

Azumi Uchiha was currently walking home after a long shift at the grocery store. She was walking through the streets of Konoha in peace, until she had suddenly felt a bad omen. She had suddenly gasped, as she felt a cold breeze pass her backside. Her eyes had widened in shock, and she had looked to the eastern sky. She couldn't prove it, but she could feel that something was wrong.

Meanwhile...

At Kushina Uzumaki's residence...

"Urghh! Release me from this... Jutsu!" One of the Kumo-Nin had yelled and grunted, as... he, and his Kumo-Nin comrades were currently restraint and pinned down to the ground by Kushina Uzumaki's Adamantine Chain Ninjutsu. Their faces were pressed against the ground eating dirt.

Akira, and Kushina's fight with three Kumo-Nin had moved to the outside of her home, with the result of the kitchen being a mess, the table flipped over, and the groceries that Akira and Kushina had brought over spilled all over the floor. And the glass in the hallways being broken as three big holes were made by jumping through.

Akira Uchiha, and Kushina Uzumaki were covered in dirt smudges, and had a few bruises on their body. Kushina used all her might to trap the three Kumo-Nin with her Adamantine Chain Ninjutsu that only the Uzumaki Clan knows. Kushina Uzumaki had to stay in place, in order to keep her attempt adult kidnappers in place.

Akira Uchiha was in front of Kushina, and in front of the three Kumo-Nin. Kneeling on one knee, panting, heavily. He had a cut on his right arm, where his upper right arm had bled. He placed his left hand over the wound to try and stop the bleeding.

"Akira!" Kushina had cried out.

"It... it's okay. I'm just... trying to stop the bleeding. Just keep focus on keeping them subdued, until help comes around." Akira had told Kushina.

"Mmph," Kushina had nodded, but still had a look of worry on her face.

Suddenly... a spiral had appeared out from nowhere on Kushina, and Akira's right. Both Akira, and Kushina had looked to their right and saw... Azumi Uchiha-Akira's mother had appeared from the black swirly vortex.

Both Akira, and Kushina had gasped in shock.

Azumi appeared-only to see that her son, Akira Uchiha was injured. She gasped, in shock and ran toward her son. "Akira! Akira!" She cried out.

"M-Mom?" Akira had responded as he saw Azumi approach him.

Azumi quickly bent her knees and grabbed her son's shoulders in total worry. "Akira! I was so worried! What happened? What's going on?"

"Mom..." Akira had begun to lower his head in sadness.

Azumi then lifted his chin up so that she can get his full attention. "Please, look at me, when I'm talking to you, Akira! Now, tell me everything that happened?"

Akira stared into his mother's eyes and the red spiral Mangekyō Sharingan that heavily resembles the Uzumaki crest. She could also see that bubles of tears were forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry that I made you worry. But... Kushina and I were going to have a sleepover tonight." Akira said.

Azumi gasped. "A sleepover?"

Akira nodded. "But, then... Kushina and I were suddenly attacked by Kumo-Nin who wanted to abduct her and take her to Kumogakure." Akira had explained.

Azumi had felt paralyzed when she learned that Kumo-Nin had attacked her son. Her eyes were in total shock and fear.

"So, I did the best I could and tried to defend her from them. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about the sleepover." Akira had explained and apologized in shame.

For a moment, Azumi had felt like the entire world had stopped spinning. She had just learned that her son was assaulted by foreign Shinobi. She then looked passed Akira, and saw Kushina with dirt smudges and a few bruises on her body. She then looked behind herself, and saw three Kumo-Nin on the ground, grunting and trying to unravel Kushina's Adamantine Chains. After processing the situation... Azumi lowered her head to were shadow had covered her eyes.

'M... Mom?' Akira had thought as he knew his mother was silent. That kind of worried him.

Azumi then removed her arms from Akira's shoulders, stood up, and clenched her fist. "Kushina." Azumi had called.

Kushina looked to Azumi, after she called her name.

"Keep using that jutsu you're using." Azumi said in a serious tone as she looked to her.

"Y-Yes, Misses Azumi!" Kushina had replied.

Azumi had slowly walked toward one of the Kumo-Nin that are immobilized by Kushina's Adamantine Chains jutsu. She kicked one of Kumo-Nin on their backs.

"Ugh!" He groaned after Azumi had kicked him onto his back. He looked to see Azumi Uchiha standing over him with an angry glare. "Ah, great... more Konoha reinforcements..."

Azumi Uchiha had closed her eyes for a moment, then had flashed her Sharingan directly at him.

'!Sharingan: Genjutsu!'

"Guah!" One of the Kumo-Nin had then gasped, and his eyes widened in paralysis as he was then cast under a Genjutsu.

Azumi had then walked over to the closest Kumo-Nin, kicked that Ninja on his backside and placed him under the Genjutsu. Then, did the same thing to the last Kumo-Nin, until they were all placed under the Genjutsu. After it was done, Azumi had stood and sighed. "Kushina. You can stop, now." She said in a relieved tone.

Kushina had gasped, then nodded. She had quickly dispersed her Adamantine Chains jutsu. Setting her attempt adult Kumo kidnappers free. After it was done, Kushina had panted heavily, as she placed her hands and knees on the ground.

"Mom... what did you do?" Akira had asked.

Azumi had walked toward her son, Akira and had begun using Medical Ninjutsu-known as the Mystic Palm Technique on Akira's right arm where he had been cut. After a few moments, the wound on Akira's right upper arm had been healed, and the wound had ultimately closed.

Akira looked to his former wound was and noticed it was gone. "Wow. It's healed." He then looked into the direction of his mother, Azumi Uchiha, and... "Mom?"

Suddenly... tears were currently streaming down Azumi's face, and her Mangekyō Sharingan were activated. Out of fear, and relief. She openly sniffled in front of Akira, and Kushina. "A... Akira..."

Akira saw that sad and tearful look in his mother's eyes, and Azumi's activated Mangekyō Sharingan and can't help but look sad. "Mom... I-"

Suddenly, Akira had been pulled into a hug by his mother. He felt the warm embrace of a worried mother.

Azumi Uchiha had openly sobbed as she embraced Akira.

Kushina gasped when she saw Azumi embrace Akira, and wail. This moment made her said.

"You're all I have left in this world, Akira! I cannot lose you-just as I lost my parents... and your father to this cruel world... You're not ready to leave me!" Azumi said as she continued to wail.

After hearing those words, Akira had realized a true mother's love. A mother would want to watch their kids grow up, and start a family of their own. "Mom..." After coming to the realization... his eyes had begun to soften, and tears streamed down his face. "I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry..." Akira had wailed as he hugged his mother back.

"When my mother was thirteen years old... she lost both her parents on the battlefield, which caused her to awaken the Sharingan. And then, she met my father, who had experienced the same tragedy. My parents were married three years, before they had me. And when I was only seven months old... my father died against a power Shinobi from Kumogakure. His death was what triggered my mother to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan."

Kushina had a sad look on her face as she watched the mother and son Uchiha wail in front of her. Her eyes had begun to water. 'Akira... Misses Azumi...' She thought for a moment, until she gasped. She saw Azumi stretch a hand out toward her. Asking her to join the embrace. Kushina had then clenched her teeth as tears streamed down her face. She quickly ran toward them and joined their embrace.

Azumi had embraced both of the young Konoha Ninja at once as all three of them had cried, and cried.

Author's Note: Azumi Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan pattern is similar to Indra Ōtsutsuki's Mangekyō Sharingan pattern, and the Uzumaki crest. And, Mangekyō Sharingan Space-Time Ninjutsu ability is similar to Shin Uchiha's.

The Next Chapter will be more interesting. :)
