After her presence is completely gone another man steps from the shadows. This one wearing the same cloak as the one who referred to himself as a god but with short, spiky black hair and an orange mask in the form of a spiral with a single eye hole.

Already sensing his presence, Pain turns to face him. "Madara."

"I have lost contact with Kiyomi," the now named Madara says in a gruff voice, "yet still I have received reports of the Eight-Tails being taken from Kumo by an Uchiha."

"So she has betrayed us and taken the beast's power for herself," Pain responds with narrowed eyes, "I told you she was not to be trusted."

The man only grunts in response. Truth be told he was disappointed. Kiyomi had a lot of potential as an ally and should have been easy enough to control due to her obsession with the dead Uzumaki.

Though he did notice the thinly veiled hostility whenever he mentioned she would see him again if the tailed beasts were gathered. "Either way, that girl, have you looked into what I told you?"

"I have," Pein admits with narrowed eyes, "I'm disappointed Konan would keep such information from me. Especially after what he did to Yahiko."

'Madara' shrugs, his mask hiding the smile forming behind it, "just goes to show that, despite everything, you truly cannot trust everyone."

"So it would seem…"

As the two men have their conversation only Pein notices the small paper shikigami attached to a far wall that peels off and burns to ash, the sight only confirming his earlier thoughts as a deep frown comes over his face.

It seems he'll have to ask his childhood friend a few questions.

Tayuya looks at her with a quirked eyebrow, noticing the blade of her naginata is also covered in blood, "the hell were you doing Ryu? Killing every bird you saw up there?"

The white-haired woman chuckles and shakes her head, "nope, I just saw a bandit camp and decided to take care of them," she then holds up a bag she'd been carrying in her other hand, "I also took all the ryo they had laying around since I doubt any of us have any."

"…huh. I didn't think about that."

Karin sighs from her place on Naruto's back as he and Kiyomi argue with each other like an old married couple. They had just entered the port town of Selance and when talks of getting a room at an inn were brought up the group quickly realized they didn't even have a single ryo to their name.

"Must be an Uzumaki thing," Kiyomi thinks with a shrug while she sets a tray on a nearby table just as Naruto leaves the bed. Giving him a light kiss that is easily returned when he reaches her, she smiles, "good morning, did you enjoy yourself?"

Naruto grins in her direction, "as a matter of fact, I did. Why? You want to come back and join in?" he asks as Karin flips onto her back and guides him inside her again.

Kiyomi rolls her eyes and Samui smirks as the two Uzumaki descend into pleasure again, "no, I brought food for everyone's breakfast. Even though I doubt we even need to eat anymore."

"...food?"

From her place on the bed, Haku stirs awake at the sound of breakfast and slowly sits up, her hair still ruffled and messy from their activities throughout the night. Next to her Tayuya groans, "thank fuck, I'm starvin', what about you Ryuzetsu?"

"Ngh...I could go for something to eat..." Ryuzetsu twitches a bit as she comes down from her orgasmic high and looks at the cum covering her chest and stomach, "can I get a towel first though?" Samui smirks and throws one her way, making the tanned-skin ninja mumble a 'thank you'.

Moving around the two Uzumaki who were still going strong on the bed, the three women go over to the nearby table and take a seat before immediately starting to eat. The pinkette grumbles at her response and continues to eat. While she does, Haku turns to Samui, "so, I can understand why everyone else is here, but what about you, Samui?"

The blonde smirks and leans her cheek on her fist, "you mean how Naruto and I met? Well, it was actually all a coincidence considering I was on a small little vacation with Yugito after completing a mission and Naruto happened to be there with his sensei."

Hearing her words, all the girls sitting around the table lean forward. They were all curious about how she and Naruto met and why that meeting was enough to turn her traitor to her own village.

Smiling at their inquisitive looks, Samui begins to explain. Starting with how she and Yugito were actually both candidates for being the next jinchuriki of the two-tailed demon cat, Matatabi. However, in the end, Yugito was chosen, and she was to be her partner in an effort to recreate Kumo's famous A B combo that the eight-tails jinchuriki and Raikage used.

So they basically grew up like sisters and did everything together. From training to missions, Samui even ended up developing her own lightning jutsu just so she could support Yugito better and considering that during the time they grew up together jinchuriki were still seen as bringers of misfortune before Killer Bee proved himself during the Third Shinobi World War, they both suffered quite a bit of verbal abuse from the villagers together too. But it was one day, after a particularly grueling mission, she and Yugito stopped by a hot spring in Frost Country and ran into Naruto who was on his own assignment from Jiraiya.

They just so happened to cross paths at the time and being the loyal Kumo ninja they were, she and Yugito decided to gather as much information as possible, and considering the blonde seemed young at the time, they thought it would be easy with the two of them displaying a bit of charm.

"Of course, what we didn't know at the time, was that he had been thoroughly trained by the toad sage in the art of seduction," Samui states with a smirk and a half-lidded look in her blue eyes as she recalls that night. "So let's just say that along with the fact he could relate to what we went through in our childhood, Yugito and I fell for him pretty hard that day. We kept in contact through his toads ever since."

"So you got dick good enough to make you turn traitor to your entire village? That's really somethin'." Was Tayuya's eloquent response to Samui's story of her first meeting with Naruto, making the older woman smirk.

"What can I say? From the moment he came in my pussy, life seemed a lot brighter. Like I could see myself and Yugito as people instead of tools to be used by the village."

Haku stops eating and quirks her eyebrows in Samui's direction, "uh..you mean since he came into your life, right?"

Samui only smirks. "Did I stutter?"

Kiyomi shakes her head in exasperation, already used to the older woman's straightforward and deadpan way of speaking from conversations they had during the trip to Wind Country, while Ryuzetsu chuckles right as Naruto takes the open seat next to the Uchiha, "whatcha guys talking about?"

She places a kiss on his whiskered cheek and gets up from her chair, instead deciding to sit in his lap. "Nothing, just how you and Samui met."

"Oh yeah..that was a great time," he says with a fond smile before looking around at everyone, "but, now that we're all awake and acquainted, I think it's best to talk about what we're going to be doing from this point on."

Naruto then began to explain that he wanted them to take a small beach vacation before searching for Maki as he didn't know how long it would take before the wind user's location was narrowed down and though Kiyomi already knew of this plan, she still had a single question that had been on her mind since they entered Wind Country.

"Why not recruit that girl with the fan from Suna while we're here? You had a small fling with her, didn't you?"

"Ah, Temari?" Naruto nods with a smile, remembering the blonde fan user. Ever since he helped Gaara through his own darkness, Temari had been quite fond of him, even when he and Jiraiya stopped by Suna during his training trip, she voluntarily taught him a few wind jutsu and wind nature exercises.

"I would love to bring her in too, but she's too entrenched in her village, being the Gaara's sister and all. Maybe after we establish our own in Rain Country."

Hearing Naruto talk about Temari, Tayuya mutters under her breath about 'that dumb fan bitch' while Haku tilts her head in confusion. "But I thought you and the Kazekage were good friends, why not use that to establish a friendship between our villages and have the backing of Suna?"

"Nah, though I know he would easily agree to it, I don't want to put Gaara in that kind of awkward situation when a Five Kage Summit is inevitably called."

It was better to keep him in the dark for now until the rest of his plans came into fruition. By that time, he was confident there would be no one in all of the Elemental Nations that could stop them, even if a worst-case scenario came about.

"Oh, I actually forgot to mention this earlier, but we ran into someone in Sound."

Naruto tilts his head when Tayuya speaks up, "oh yeah? Who?"

"Kabuto, and he knows you're alive."

As soon as she says this, those that weren't there in Sound immediately get serious. "How did he figure it out?" Kiyomi was the one that asked since she knew firsthand just how Kabuto could be.

"He tried to use that resurrection jutsu on you. The same one Orochimaru used against that old fart Hokage during the chunin exams. He said when he found out it failed for the both of us, it could only mean we were both alive. He also managed to graft some of Orochimaru's dna onto his own body and claimed he'd be as strong as the Sage of Six Paths when it was fully absorbed."

Naruto frowns but soon shakes his head, "let's not worry about him for the time being. Knowing that guy, he won't spread it around, and as for the other part, I already know. I saw the beginnings of it when Kiyomi was fighting Itachi."

"Yeah, yeah, that's interesting and all, but what about the swimsuits? I've been looking forward to it since yesterday!"

The one who spoke up was Karin after finally getting up from the bed and coming over with a gleam of excitement in her red eyes that made Naruto laugh. "Alright, alright. I'll go get them."

Getting up from his seat, the blonde goes to the bundle of bags that were left in the corner, coming back soon after to hand one out to each girl. "Also, you guys can thank Samui for helping me pick out swimsuits, she was a big help."

Karin immediately dives into the bag, soon bring out a red and white swimsuit on a hanger that looked like it would barely cover anything, which makes her smile wide as it was exactly what she wanted now that her skin was clear.

Next was Ryuzetsu, whose outfit consisted of a green bikini top that was tied at the front, a matching pair of bottoms and jean shorts worn over that would serve to highlight her thick thighs.

Haku had an ice blue bikini with snowflakes emblazoned on it along with a semi see-through skirt with the same pattern.

Being able to choose for herself when they were looking for swimsuits, Samui decided on a one-piece gray swimsuit that had a mesh cloth over her cleavage.

For Satsuki, she had a white and blue bikini top that had fabric running through her cleavage and a pair of blue bikini bottoms.

And finally, as for Tayuya…

"Oi shithead, what the hell kind of girly crap is this? It's all pink and frilly!"

Naruto couldn't help but laugh out loud at her incredulous expression as she looked at the bright pink top that had white frills along the bust and two white flowers on the straps. There was even more frilled lace going along the bottoms.

All in all, it looked way too cutesy for her liking.

"Aw common Yuya, I thought you would look really cute in it. I even got you a hat to go along with it!" He says with a large smile as he pulls out a pure white sun hat with a yellow band around that he hands to the pinkette as he puts on a pleading expression, "wear it for me, please?"

Tayuya's cheeks color red and she rubs her arm in embarrassment after being called cute. "Tch, f-fine if ya think so, I'll wear the damn thing..."(3)

Seeing as she finally agreed, everyone got dressed in their individual beach wear and set off from the hotel. They garnered quite the attention from everyone around as they walked through the city with a few of the girls occasionally checking out whatever stalls were open. Kiyomi even decided to buy an umbrella that she thought would go well with her regular outfit.

Eventually, they managed to reach the beach only to see it crowded by people. Fortunately, Naruto knew of a place they could go, further down the coast that barely ever had people at it due to its far distance from town.

As ninja, it was a relatively short run for them, though Karin did once again have to be carried by Naruto on the way there. But when they finally arrived, all were relieved to see an empty beach.

Karin wasted no time and immediately hopped off of Naruto's back before making a beeline for the water with her yokai features coming out as she dove in.

Naruto let out an impressed whistle at the sight. "Wow, that was a nice dive."

"Mhm, solid 9.5 out of 10," Satsuki agrees with a snicker as she sets up an umbrella while everyone else proceeds to start the day of fun and relaxation.

"Hehe, don't be like that Tayuya."

"Get the fuck away from me!"

Currently, Haku was chasing around Tayuya as she yelled curses at the ice user who was giggling.

Eventually, the two ended up running into a floating Karin that was relaxing in the cool ocean water. Tayuya knocks into the redhead, accidentally pushing her under the surface and arousing the Uzumaki's anger.

"Watch where you're going, you tomboy!"

Suddenly hearing Karin yell at her, Tayuya only gets more pissed off and turns around in anger. "Fuck off red!" The pinkette moves quickly, far faster than Karin expected, and grabs the Uzumaki around the waist before suplexing her into the water.

Karin yells out in surprise but upon impact, she manages to slip from Tayuya's grasp and resurfaces, bringing with her a large amount of seawater in the form of a humanoid body using the power of a ningyo to do so.(4)

Seeing this, Tayuya brings out her flute from her bikini strap and immediately begins to play a melody on it, causing the water she was now standing on to stir around her to form a golem of equal size.

"Alright red, you asked for it! Don't go crying when you get your ass kicked!"

"I should say the same to you!"

From the beach, where Samui was lazing around in the sun like a cat with her byakko features out, Ryuzetsu was flying freely in the sky with the sea breeze beneath her wings, occasionally dipping down to skim the ocean's surface with her hands, Haku had backed off with a giggle after instigating a fight, and Kiyomi was looking that Tayuya and Karin with a sweat drop from her place in Naruto's arms under an umbrella.

"Are you sure she's not an Uzumaki?" she asks, referring to Tayuya whose attitude was eerily similar to what Naruto described those of his clan were like from his mother's memories.

"Yeah, I checked her chakra multiple times too. I thought she was half one like me. Or at least a quarter, but nope, that's just who she is," Naruto shrugs as the seawater from the fight sprays over the two.

Kiyomi continues to look on at the fight before shrugging, "meh whatever." She then smiles and cuddles into Naruto further, choosing to just ignore it and enjoy the blonde's touch.

Eventually, Karin and Tayuya settled down with the help of Haku freezing the water after enjoying the show, and from there, the group's beach day went on peacefully until sunset when Naruto felt it was time to head back to the hotel.

On the way, as they were discussing the next steps to be taken, being how they planned on infiltrating the Land of Rain, the group happened to stumble on a peculiar sight as they got close to Selance.

A woman was laying face up in a pool of blood with signs of battle all around her. There was a myriad of cuts all over her body, including a particularly nasty one that nearly bisected her at the waist. The only evidence of her still being alive was her chest slowly moving up and down as she haggardly took what might be her last breaths.

Getting closer to the dying woman, Naruto couldn't help but widen his eyes slightly after looking her over. Seeing her purple hair and clothes that looked like it had been cut by several blades, he paid them no mind, but he did focus on her headband, seeing a symbol that made him smirk. "Looks like we found a way to get into Rain~"

"A kunoichi from The Rain Village?" Kiyomi asks as she leans over as well. "What's she doing here?"

"Don't know, but it's a lucky break," he says with a shrug before handing Karin over to Kiyomi, squatting down and extending his arm so that it was right in front of the downed woman's mouth. "Bite me if you want to survive."

While it would be more efficient to have Karin do this, the redhead was back to her near catatonic self after leaving the water and he didn't have the heart to ask her to heal the woman while she was in such a shape.

Hearing his words, the girl's hazy light green eyes just barely manage to focus on the wrist held in front of her mouth before looking up at the blonde. "Wh-Who…?"

"Doesn't matter, just bite."

Not letting her finish, Naruto shoves his wrist into her mouth and forces her to bite down. Instantly, he feels his chakra invading her system and on instinct she begins to suck more out as a warm feeling spread through her body and her wounds begin to steam and close.

Within just a few seconds, not only were the cuts and gashes that littered her body gone, but her chakra was replenished as well.

Coughing a bit as Naruto helps her sit up, she gives him a grateful look. "Thank you for saving me…I really thought I was a goner."

"It's no problem. Now.." he says with a smile, "you mind telling me your name and how you ended up here?"

"The name's Ajisai. As for why I'm out here, it's a mission from my village. I'm hunting someone."

Naruto smirks at the obvious way she was trying to deflect his question. "By 'your village' you mean Pain from the Akatsuki right?"

Ajisai immediately grows suspicious upon hearing his words and even reaches for her kunai pouch on instinct, only to stop when she notices the gazes of all the women around the blonde. All seemingly ready to pounce if she dared make a move.

The oppressive chakra she feels from the people surrounding her, makes her break out in a cold sweat and she could've sworn she saw their forms flicker to having animal features before quickly turning back.

Her throat goes dry as Naruto squats down to her level with a wide, fanged smirk on his face. "Don't worry, we won't hurt you, in actuality we just need you to get into Hidden Rain. Can you do that for us?"

"Y-You mean you want me to betray Lord Pain?! I would never and would rather die!"

She denied vehemently and even took out a kunai to hold against her own throat, ready to stab it if not for the golden chain that wrapped around her arm to stop it in place.

"Jeez," Naruto lets out a sigh after he manages to stop her thanks to his quick thinking, "if I knew you guys were so fanatic about Pain and the Akatsuki, I wouldn't have teased you so much. A shame he sent you on a suicide mission."

Rage flashes in her eyes as she hears what appears to be lies about the one she considers a god. "Stop talking nonsense! How would you even know the mission I went on anyway? Don't make up lies!"

Raising his arms in a disarming way after she begins yelling, Naruto speaks again. "You're right, I don't know what mission you're on, but what I do know is how the Akatsuki works. So, where's your partner? You're always supposed to work in pairs, right?"

Ajisai opens her mouth to answer but stops midway when she doesn't have an immediate answer, but soon after, she manages to come up with something. "Lord Pain just trusted me enough to recruit my next partner alone!"

"Uh huh, sure. Are you even S-rank?"

"N-No..."

"Yet you were asked to recruit Maki, and S-rank kunoichi who is known for slicing anyone who messes with her to ribbons?"

"H-How did you know I came here for Maki?"

Seeing her eyes widen in surprise at his correct guess, Naruto chuckles. "Let's be real here, the only other S-rank ninja that lives in Wind Country besides the Kazekage is Maki. Now, you were saying?"

Now knowing there was no proper excuse for her situation, Ajisai was still resolute. There was just no way she would be sent to die, not with Lady Konan being there. But thinking about it, she was rushed to leave right after she was given the mission and, in her excitement, she didn't have time to see her.

It was almost of his Lord Pain didn't want her to tell Lady Konan the contents of her mission as she'd usually done in the past…

"Is it finally clicking for you? But that's not all~"

In a flash, one of his red chains burst from his back and digs into the sand. After a few moments, it reemerges wrapped tightly around something.

It was a being that was half black, half white and had what looked like a Venus flytrap that covered its head and upper body in a shell wearing an Akatsuki cloak. "Would you look at that, it's the spiky, aloe vera bastard. How are you doing?" (5)

From the way Ajisai's eyes widened in surprise, it was obvious she recognized the being wrapped in chains as she had seen it close to Pain many times whenever she visited God's tower.

"N-Nine tails jinchuriki…you're alive…"

The chains were not only tight around its body, but they were also suppressing its chakra, making it so it couldn't escape.

"Mhmm~ and you're gonna tell my new friend here exactly why you were hiding under the sand while she was bleeding out, got that?"

"I would never-"

"Kiyomi~"

"On it."

The Uchiha suddenly steps forward and her eyes flash red as they spin into her mangekyou. But, instead of the pattern that blended together hers and her brother's eyes, it now was different to reflect the new pair she acquired from their time in the Hidden Leaf While Itachi's pattern appeared in one of the hissing snakes behind her.(6)

Zetsu was forced to stare into her eyes and before long, all struggle faded as he was put into a powerful genjutsu. "Alright, he's all yours."

Thanking Kiyomi with a smile, the blonde looks back to Ajisai who was staring at Zetsu in shock, "so, go ahead and ask. Ask him why he was here and what Pain told him to do after you died."

Her eyes rapidly flick between a smirking Naruto and a dazed Zetsu before hesitantly opening her mouth. "What was the mission Lord Pain sent you on."

"Pain told me to monitor you and then take your corpse back after you died to become one of his paths…"

Zetsu's voice was dull and devoid of any emotion due to the genjutsu, but he managed to answer, nonetheless. But his words still managed to strike at Ajisai's heart.

Ever since Pain took control of Rain, she had been a completely loyal and devout follower of his. She had upmost faith in him and couldn't fathom why he would actually send her on a suicide mission just to replace one of his paths.

Tears start to build up in her eyes, but she just barely manages to hold them back as she asks the next question. "B-But why would he want me killed? I've been nothing but loyal…"

"He knows your grandfather was Hanzo of the Salamander. That is why he told me to make sure you died…"

Her heart drops when she finally hears the reason.

"How did he find out? The only person besides me who would've known is…"

"Lady Konan…"

A single tear falls from of her eyes at the thought of the woman she thought of as both an older sister and sensei telling Pain a secret she promised to keep to herself after rescuing her from that awful family all those years ago.

Ajisai never had any love for her former family. All she could remember from her time there was pain and torture after they found out she was compatible with the salamander contract her grandfather held. It was only after Lady Konan came to save her as her family was being slaughtered by Lord Pain did she finally feel happiness.

Despite Hanzo being responsible for so much pain she experienced, even the death of her lover, Lady Konan still only saw her as an innocent child and took her to safety, disguising her as one of the countless orphans of Rain while taking her under her wing to learn new techniques.

She was even allowed to practice with poison and was even promised the salamander summoning contract once she reached jonin so she could better serve Lord Pain in the future.

So, the thought of the woman she trusted the most possible betraying her caused even more tears to flow as she broke down in complete and utter sadness.

And Ajisai would have kept crying too, if not for a hand that lands on her shoulder, bringing with it a warm feeling and a sense of comfort.

Looking up at the one responsible, she sees Naruto looking at her with a gentle smile before he suddenly brings her into an embrace. She tried at first to resist, but eventually she gives in and lets it all out.

As she cries into his shoulder, Naruto holds her tighter, making sure to use his chakra to comfort her. The warm aura radiating from the blonde eventually calms her down.

Wiping what's left of the tears in her eyes and sniffling, she feels Naruto pull away from the embrace and tightly grip her shoulders. "You aren't the first to be used by your village only to be thrown away later. All of us have." He says, gesturing to the girls around him, "I was thrown into a max security prison under clear false charges."

"My entire clan was killed by my own brother under the orders of Konoha's village elders."

"My village used my mother as a chakra bank until she died before doing the same to me."

"I got put into the same prison as him by my village after I noticed my childhood friend missing and kicked up a fuss about it."

"I would've been turned into a mindless, rampaging zombie if blondie's sensei didn't suppress a seal put on me by Orochimaru while I was working for him."

"My clan and mother died by the hands of my father as a result of Kiri's bloodline purges."

"The person I grew up with and considered a sister was captured by the Akatsuki and the Raikage did nothing about it."

One by one, all the women around Naruto told of how their home villages had let them down in one way or another, making Ajisai surprised at the fact their experience was similar to what she was currently going through.

"As you can see, we're all more or less in the same boat. That's why we want to start a village of our own to make sure no one else goes through what you or us had to."

Ajisai wipes the tears from her eyes and looks to Naruto with a solemn expression, "I see…but what do you want from me then? Why go to Rain?"

"I'll answer your second question later, but as for what I want from you, well, I want you to join us Ajisai. Not only do you know what it's like to be abandoned by your village, but you also know your way around Rain, which is the place I plan on building our new home."

Naruto's words make her think for a while.

It was true she basically had nowhere to go after Lord Pain made it all too clear he knew of her past and wanted her dead for it, but she also wanted to know about Lady Konan and if she was the one who told or if he found out by other means.

Now with a serious look in her eyes, she resolved herself to find out.

"Okay, I'll join you."

"Great!"

As soon as he heard her agree, Naruto smiles wide and brings out yet another pill. "Eat this. As a warning, it's gonna hurt."

Ajisai takes the pill from his outstretched hand and inspects it. "What is it?" she asks, giving it a small sniff only to be surprised when she couldn't even tell its ingredients, something that should be child's play to her since she was raised to be able to tell different herbs apart through scent alone.

"That pill will help you attain a lot of power. Power that you can use when we get to Rain."

Looking up at the blonde once again, she nods. There would honestly be no reason for him to poison her now that she had already promised to join their little group and even if it was, her body was immune to most if not all toxins. So, she pops it into her mouth and chews.

Just as she swallows, a sudden and excruciating pain blossoms in her throat, making her cough and spew a purple mist. From their heightened senses, everyone around could tell it was actually a cloud of poison and quickly jumps away as she continues to writhe on the ground.

Ajisai holds her sides in pain and turns over onto her stomach right as a large tail filled with purple scales bursts from her lower back. Her hair also takes on a brighter shade of purple, matching the scales with even more growing in patches in various places around her body, including her neck and stomach before finally, a pair of brown horns grow from her head.(7)

After all of the changes to her body, Ajisai finally calms down, rolling onto her back and breathing out one last cloud of poison with a sigh.

"That hurt way more than you made it out to…"

Naruto, Kiyomi, Tayuya, Ryuzetsu, Karin, Hake and Samui all appear in her view in their yokai forms as well in order to stave off the poison.

"So, what the hell is she?"

Tayuya was the first to speak up, looking at Ajisai's features with confusion.

"Oh, is she a dragon like me?" Ryuzetsu asks with a smile. The horns and tail were a bit different, but they and the scales still looked dragon-like, nonetheless.

"Nope, she's a Hanzaki, one that produces poison. Quite fitting considering who her grandfather was," Naruto states with a smirk before looking to Zetsu who was still bound in his mother's chains. "Now it's time to get rid of you. Can't have ya running back to tell on us, can we? Kiyomi."

"On it."

With a flash of her mangekyo, the black flames of Amaterasu engulf the black being in entirety, only letting it make out one more word as it burned to ashes.

"M-Mother…!"

Once there was absolutely nothing left, Naruto lets out a sigh.

The entire time Zetsu was around, there was something primal within him that was screaming inside to make sure he didn't escape, as if something terrible would happen if he did. And now that he was dead, that instinctive alarm had finally calmed down, so he looks over to Ajisai who was looking in wonder at her own body.

"Okay, with all that over with, let's go look for Maki. Since you just fought her, she should still be in the area. Any idea where she went?"

Ajisai finishes inspecting her tail and thinks for a bit. "Well. I managed to graze her with one of my poisoned senbon, so she couldn't have gotten that far before it takes effect, and I saw her heading north after I collapsed."

Hearing her, Naruto smiles and claps his hands together. "Great! Let's go get her then!"

Just as Naruto pumped his fist and said to go find Maki, Kiyomi calls out to him. "Shouldn't we also ask Ajisai about her fight so we can be better prepared?"

"Yeah," Tayuya agrees, "I don't want to be turned into shredded cheese like she was, even if I could regenerate from my head being sliced off by a wind blade, I'm sure it would still hurt like a bitch."

"We can survive our head getting cut off?" Ajisai questions with wide eyes.

"Probably," Naruto shrugs, "just a perk of being made purely of chakra. But Kiyomi is right, mind telling me about how your encounter with Maki went?"

Still a bit stunned at her new state of being after becoming a yokai, she nods, "okay, but there's not much to say… I tried to convince her to come with me to Rain, she said no, I attacked her to force her, she sent a bunch of wind blades at me, and I was overwhelmed." Ajisai confesses with a bit of embarrassment. She didn't even land a hit on Maki until she got lucky and spit out a hidden poison needle out of spite when the S-ranked ninja was distracted.

The fast-spreading poison was probably the only thing that kept her from being finished off.

Putting a hand on his chin in thought, Naruto nods and smiles, "well, it should be fine, I still have a good idea on how to convince her after all."

Kiyomi raises an eyebrow at his confidence. "Oh yeah? And what idea is that?"

"Hehe, you'll see~ Let's go find her first! Ryuzetsu, can you take to the sky and scout?"

"Got it."

With a flap of her wings, Ryuzetsu takes off into the air in the direction previously pointed out by Ajisai with her fellow yokai following closely behind on the ground and as they were moving, Naruto couldn't help but wonder what was happing on Hinata's end after he sent an ink message.

-Hot Spring Country-

"Alright Pale Eyes, whaddya see?"

"The camp's about twenty strong, no hostages."

Anko grins wide at the information. "That means we can go all out with no worries, just the way I like it~"

From a nearby overlook, Hinata disables her byakugan and stands up next to Anko. The two had finally found the illusive bandit camp that had been terrorizing several small villages in Hot Spring country and were about to destroy it now that she had confirmed there were no civilians present.

Even on the way here they managed to take out a few extra camps that were still too small to do anything besides attack carriages at the roadside but there was still a bonus for doing so.

"Alrighty then, apparently there's a B-rank and two C-rank missing nin among them, some losers from Hidden Grass, who are calling the shots so make sure you try to catch at least one of them alive, preferably the B-rank. We get a bigger bounty that way," the purple-haired special jonin says as she goes through a few stretches.

Hinata rolls her eyes in response to her words, "shouldn't you be saying that to yourself? You're the one that killed the last bounty with your snakes."

"Hey, the asshole was begging for it after he asked me how much for an hour. He's lucky I didn't use a snake that could paralyze before I tortured him to death."

"Whatever, let's just get this done. I really want to take go to those hot springs."

Snickering, Anko stands up with a wide smile and puts up half of the tiger hand sign while winking at the Hyuga, "took the words right outta my mouth." She then disappears in a body flicker, reappearing high in the sky as she goes through several hand signs and takes in a lung-full of air. Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!

Her cheeks puff up before her lips part and a gout of flames comes spewing out, creating a stream that was aimed at the makeshift tents of the bandit camp which were quickly set alight.

The bandits that were previously inside were sent scrambling as some even screamed when they were crushed under the burning debris and while Anko caused this distraction, Hinata made her move.

She blurred from her position, running right into the ones who could tell it was an attack by ninjas and with her palm cocked back, slams it into the first person she sees. Eight Trigrams: Mountain Crusher!

A burst of chakra springs from her palm, instantly turning the man's insides to mush before sending his now lifeless body rocketing backwards into the camp. The other bandits were stunned, and fear could be easily seen on their faces as Hinata stared them down with her byakugan eyes.

"Shit! They called fucking ninja on us!"

Seeing all the other bandits petrified, one of them steps forward with a scowl. He was a man how was giant in stature and wielded an axe that was even bigger than her and by the way he looked, he intended to use it to cut her half.

Deciding she didn't wish to find out if she could regenerate from an attack like that if it were taken full on with her yokai body, she jumps over the wide swing and lands on the axe's blade, and before the large bandit could make the noise of surprise that wanted to escape his mouth, she sprints down the weapon with her fist cocked back and two fingers pointed out as an aura of sharp chakra forms around it. Gentle Step: Piercing Thorn!

Hinata thrusts her fingers forward at the heart of the large bandit, and just as the name of the technique says, the sharp chakra wrapped around her fingers easily stabs into her opponent's chest, bursting through the other side, leaving a bloody hole as she flips over him and lands gracefully on the other side.

"Jinpei!"

From the bandit's perspective, it all happened in an instant. One moment, one of their strongest stepped up, and the next, he was dead. Now they know why the leader often told them how dangerous ninja were, despite being one himself.

Flicking her wrist to get rid of the blood that was on her hand, Hinata wastes no time in sprinting at the rest of the bandits without further word, fully intent and getting rid of the rest of them, but just as she finished off the first one in her way, she suddenly jumps back when a fireball comes from the side and explodes on her position.

From the tree line, a man and two others jump out and land next to the bandits, the three of them all looking like missing nin with the one in the middle carrying himself like a leader.

"You damn idiots! Didn't I tell you to gang up on ninja if you ever saw them?! What are you acting so scared for?!" The man in the middle, who seemed to be the boss and most likely the B-rank, immediately started yelling as soon as he arrived, reprimanding each bandit that was still left. "Surround the damn bitch and throw everything you got at her!"

Ganging up on ninja was truly the only way normal bandits had any hope of defeating one. He just hoped the girl in front of him wasn't a jonin like the other one that was currently razing their camp to the ground clearly was.

Upon hearing him, the other bandits finally snapped out of their previous fear and start reaching into their makeshift pouches to get the shuriken their boss managed to acquire for them, and as they were instructed previously, they all begin throwing their weapons at Hinata from all angles.

Unperturbed by this, the Hyuga just sinks deeper into her stance.

Protecting Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms!

Using her natural born flexibility, her arms swing out at impossible angles as a thin line of pure chakra protrudes from her palms, creating a barrier that not only blocks all the shuriken and kunai thrown her way, but even slices them into pieces.

Seeing their plan not working, the bandit leader goes through several hand seals, ending in tiger and spewing a ball of flames directly at her.

Hinata immediately changes stances in response.

Eight Trigrams: Rotation!

Chakra bursts from every point on her body as she begins to spin, creating a dome of blue chakra that cancels out the fireballs spat at her by the leader, but suddenly, her byakugan eyes falter, the veins bulging around her eyes disappearing as a wave of nausea comes over her, cancelling out her rotation as she tries to resist the urge to throw up and lost her balance.

Taking advantage of this, a big smile appears on the leader's face and nods to the other two beside him, prompting them to go through hand seals as he does as well.

Water Style: Water Bullet Jutsu!

Earth Style: Earth Shot Jutsu!

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!

Water, earth and fire were all sent her way, aimed directly at her and it seemed in her still off balanced state as she knelt to the floor she'd finally learn just how powerful her yokai regeneration was, until suddenly, her eyes flash into the tenseigan and three orbs appear behind her back.

They didn't stay still for long however, with each racing toward the incoming jutsu and forming a shield which blocks each attack, and not only that, but the chakra holding each element together seemed to be nullified and absorbed.

"H-Huh? What the-"

One of the C-rank missing nin was about to exclaim in surprise but was cut off by one of the three orbs turning into a needle that shoots straight through his forehead, killing him on impact and dropping him straight to the ground along with the other C-rank at the same instant.

The B-rank was the only one left and just as he was about to run, a shout was heard from above.

Many Shadow Snake Hands!

From the air, several snakes rain down on the bandits' position, biting all in the neck but the leader as Anko lands between him and a still retching Hinata, looking back at the Hyuga with a bit of concern on her face. "Oi Pale Eyes, you good? Did ya eat something that didn't agree with you at the inn we stayed at? You even threw up this morning too."

Honestly, it reminded her of when Kurenai first got pregnant. The genjustsu practitioner would throw up nearly every morning and was prone to bouts of dizziness…"But there's no way, right? Naruto was taken away to Blood Prison months ago so if she were, she would have been showing for a long time now and she doesn't seem the type to move on so quickly …"

"Ugh...it's nothing...I'm fine..."

Under Anko's suspicious gaze, Hinata tries her best to show she was indeed okay and got up from her knee while feeling her stomach, sensing the small, foreign bundle of chakra that had been growing there since Naruto visited her with a slight frown at the B-rank struggling on the ground, "let's just get the information we need out of this guy."

Sitting against a tree, Anko was taking sips from her water canteen while looking at Hinata hovering over the incapacitated B-rank. "Hey, you sure you don't want me to handle this?"

"Don't worry Anko, I got it."

"AAAAAAAGHHH!"

"Seems like you do."

The B-rank missing nin screamed his lungs out as Hinata slowly poked her chakra-covered finger into a chakra point located in the man's chest. Specifically, the tenketsu that was the gate of death.

Forcefully injecting chakra into this point could produce an untold amount of pain to the victim, making it a sure-fire way to gain knowledge from interrogation.

As the man continued to howl in pain, Anko leans her head back against the tree she was resting against with a small smile on her face. "Damn Pale Eyes, where'd ya learn this from. Makes me miss my old job already. Too bad I've been let go by T&I after the Uchiha got rid of my curse mark. That guy Ibiki is way too paranoid for his own good if you ask me. Like I'd ever desert the village...pfft."

"I learned this from my mother after she retired from being a ninja," Hinata hums as she removes her finger from the chakra point to give the bandit a breather. "Are you ready to talk now?"

"Guh…f-fuck you bi-ARGHHH!"

Not even letting him finish his insult, she injects chakra into the tenketsu again while Anko chuckles.

"Speaking of which, the way you do stuff reminds me of my first day on the job as an interrogator. They let me witness someone's last interrogation before she retired, I'll never forget the screams I heard that day," she titters with a lick of her lips, "Hitomi, I remember her name was, the way she had that Hidden Stone shinobi wailing sound nearly identical to this guy here."

Hinata pauses slightly. "Ah, that was my mother's name, and she used to work for Torture and Interrogation before she retired too."

Now it was Anko's turn to pause. "Wait what?"

"Gaaaaaaah! Stop, stop it! I'll tell you whatever you want! Just make it stop!"

While the two kunoichi were slightly taken aback at the coincidence of Anko running into Hinata's mother while she worked for T&I, the missing nin finally broke under the Hyuga's torture and was finally ready to confess.

"Who was the one who hired you?"

Hinata got straight to the point. This particular group of bandits were responsible for not only several supply raids on multiple caravans and small villages, but kidnapping as well and the goal of their mission was to find out why and where they were taking these people as well as who their backer was.

"Th-the only thing I saw when handing people over was a guy in a red cloak and glasses a-and I only heard his name once... it was-"

Just as he was about to finish saying the name, a kunai comes in from Hinata's blind spot, but once again her tenseigan flares at the first sign of danger. Turning on a dime, she catches the kunai while covering her hand in a layer of chakra before instantly sending it back at high speeds.

"Woah, woah, bravo! I don't know how you managed to counter from your clan's blind spot, but I am thoroughly impressed nonetheless."

From the tree line, a figure walks out while clapping as Anko quickly gets to her feet and hisses.

"Kabuto…"

"Hello Anko."

His smile was wide and snake-like, as was his skin. The scales on his face extended further than what Tayuya and her group saw before, now taking over three-quarters of his visage.

"What the hell happened to you? You look even freakier than usual."

"Just in the process of perfecting what Orochimaru tried to achieve all his life. But since you're here, Anko, I must ask you to come with me-" he stops talking suddenly and looks at Anko with narrowed snake-like eyes, noticing the lack of curse mark on her neck. "It's gone? How on earth…It seems like that part of my plan won't come to fruition. What a pity."

He then turns to Hinata with a wide smile. "Though since Hinata's here, I'll have to improvise. She'll make great use as a hostage against a certain blonde."

Without any warning, a white snake slithers from beneath his cloak and lashes out at the two kunoichi, catching Anko completely of guard by its speed, but with Hinata's tenseigan active she was able to counter with a blade of pure chakra covering her hand just before it could reach her.

The white snake's head was immediately cut off by Hinata's attack and she sprints at him with a serious expression. He mentioned using her to get to 'a certain blonde' it was obvious to her who he was talking about, which also meant he somehow knew Naruto was alive, meaning she couldn't afford to let him go and possibly leak the information to other villages at this point.

Kabuto smirks wide as the Hyuga rushes toward him, evidently his words struck a nerve with her, just confirming his theory of her knowing of the blonde's survival as well. After all, who else besides Kiyomi was Naruto closest to?

The white snake, whose head was severed, quickly regenerated and struck at Hinata, intending to sink its fangs into her unprotected back. However instead of flesh, it only felt air as the Hyuga jumped over its strike with her new eyes blazing brightly, catching Kabuto's attention.

"Hoh? Those aren't the byakugan~" he chuckles as he slips past her palm that was aimed at his head. He continues to just barely slip past her attacks, idly noticing that each one was meant to be a killing blow. "I wonder where you got those eyes from, could it be that Naruto gave you a gift? I wonder if that's the only thing he gave you~"

Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm!

Hinata lets out a burst of chakra from her outstretched palm that destroys a tree to splinters as Kabuto once again dodges her attack, making her growl in annoyance as her hair briefly flashes white.

"Tsk, tsk. Such a temper, did I strike a chord?"

"You're annoying as ever, Kabuto," Hinata says with a glare at silver-haired snake user.

"Hehe, so rude."

Though he was laughing outwardly, on the inside he was completely surprised. He had not expected the Hyuga to be this skilled and he definitely knew now it was due to the same reasons as Tayuya and her group. "Tch, it looks like I won't be able to use her as a hostage. What a shame, I also wanted to cut into her to see how that mysterious transformation works."

Kabuto pumps chakra into his feet and leaps backwards, retreating high into the trees and far away from a palm imbued with purple chakra that shattered the ground where he was once standing. "Well, well, I think I've had my fill, I still have more research to do after all."

Without giving Hinata any more chance at attack, Kabuto quickly disappears in a body flicker.

"Tch, good at running away as always."

Hinata narrows her eyes as the tenseigan fades away and Anko runs up to her. "Holy shit pale eyes, what the hell was that all about? You had white hair, and your eyes changed. Also, I could've sworn you had bunny ears or somethin!"

A sigh leaves the Hyuga at her yokai nature being exposed thanks to Kabuto. "It's clan secrets, Anko. Let's just get this guy to the nearest Bounty Station and send a report to Hokage first."

Looking suspiciously at her as she turns to walk away, Anko reluctantly agrees. After all, it really could be some clan stuff that she recently learned so it would be best not to pry too much. "Alright, I'll get a prisoner scroll for the bastard then send a snake to Lady Tsunade."

Two sighs of relief ring out from within a private hot spring as Anko and Hinata settle into the warm water.

After turning in the bounty and reporting the success of their mission to the Hokage and the chief of the small village they were currently staying in, they were granted free access to the village's hot spring as a reward for getting rid of the bandits.

"Oooooh yeahhh~, this is exactly what momma needed."

Anko interlaces her fingers behind her head and sinks further into the water, a deeply satisfied smile on her face as the heated-up spring melts away the stress of the day.

The two relax in silence for a while, enjoying themselves fully before Anko remembers something. "Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask. How's Kakashi doing? I haven't seen him around the village in a while."

Hinata frowns slightly when she thinks of her sensei, she hadn't seen him much even since Naruto was falsely imprisoned and even less after his 'death'. "He has been on missions nonstop for a while now, just like me. I even heard from my father that he's about to be promoted to S-rank soon."

"Well, I don't blame him," Anko says as she nods. The good old 'drive the guilt away with nonstop missions' has been a staple for many shinobi ever since shinobi have been shinobi. So, it was no surprise Kakashi was going through the very same thing.

Rumors even had it that he was purposely sent out on a mission the day Naruto got taken away since the elders knew he would cause trouble if he was present for it.

"Bah! Enough of the awkward shit! Let's enjoy the vacation the Hokage gave us!"

Anko suddenly yells and throws her hands high in the air to clear the awkwardness permeating it, surprising Hinata at first, but eventually making her giggle with a smile.

"You're right Anko, let's enjoy this little break."

-Village Hidden in The Stone-

A loud bang rings out as a door is slammed shut and a young woman dressed in the typical jonin uniform for ninja from the Hidden Stone walks into her apartment with an angered huff.

"Damn old geezer, why won't he ever listen to me?! Uncle Roshi and Uncle Han were kidnapped by the Akatsuki months ago, and he does nothing?! You've got to be kidding me! We already know they're station in Rain, why can't we just go there?!"

Just as she kicks over a nearby trashcan in anger, a black shadow suddenly leaps out, completely taking her by surprise. But thanks to her experience as a season kunoichi, she managed to get into a guarded stance with her hands already about to go through hand seals.

A familiar figure takes shape, one that she hadn't seen in nearly a year, and a young man that was supposed to be dead.

"Yo, Kurotsuchi. Long time no see."

She jumps back in surprise, "wha-Naruto?! You're supposed to be dead!"

"Yeah," he chuckles while leaning against a nearby wall, "I guess you could say, it was greatly exaggerated. As you can see, though it's a clone, I'm alive and well and I want you to do something for me."

Kurotsuchi crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow, "oh yeah, what's that?"

Getting off of the wall, the blonde smirks as he walks closer to her, "well, I happened to overhear the small argument you had with your grandad, and I thought I'd give a proposal."

She huffs with a slight frown at the reminder as he finally reaches her and places his hands on her waist, "Stop beating around the bush and tell me already,"

Instead of answering right away, he lifts her up onto a nearby table and settles between her legs. "Always so impatient. Aren't you glad to see me again? I know you cried when the news came~"

"Tch, you're still an asshole…" Kurotsuchi mutters under breath with a deep blush, but still wraps her arms around his neck as he leans in close, to the point their chests are touching, and she could feel his breath tickling her lips. "Yes, I missed you, but I can't exactly be open about it can I? My entire village hates yours."

"That's true," the blonde nods, feeling her toned thighs through her red jonin uniform shorts before he slowly moves one of his hands to slip into them. "But as I was saying before, the thing I wanted you to do is leave your village and join me along with some others."

"Wh-What?"

Kurotsuchi's black eyes go wide at his words, but they later screw shut when she feels his fingers brush against her sex, making the blonde smirk, "I'm going after the Akatsuki, come and join us at the border."
