Everyone has Secrets
Many things can happen on the following day after the Sato Mansion incident, and during that time Minato was unconscious. Hiroshi Sato, who is now wanted alongside Amon, has had the mansion confiscated and its assets frozen by Republic City police. With nowhere else to go, Asami, Bolin, and Mako are welcomed to live on Air Temple Island.
And a lot of things happen, including Meelo having a minor infatuation with Asami, Ikki being a hassle, and Korra attempting to be more tactful with Asami while her father is collaborating with a terrorist. Nonetheless, they were able to return Bluenette to Air Temple Island and allow him to rest before waking up.
The boy had some explaining to do.
XXX
Everyone gathered in the Air Temple Island dining room, which was the ideal setting for a disclosure conversation after they had done eating, and Minato, who had finally woken up, finally related his story about his past and where he came from.
"You're from another world place called earth in a country called Japan that has similarities with our world culture," Mako stated.
"But your world doesn't have any benders at all; no one could bend the four elements," answered Korra.
"It's advanced technology that surpasses whatever our world has but doesn't use steam power," Asami said.
"And you're a persona user; that's why you're able to summon such a spirit-like being," says Bolin.
"What is a persona?" Tenzin asked.
Minato explained, "A persona is a manifestation of a person's personality in physical form through hardship and resolve." Latin, a language in my world, means "mask." You can describe it as a guardian spirit that emerges from your soul and protects you from harm.
But like spirits, even a persona can harm its user and those around it; they are called shadows. Shadows are malevolent manifestations of one's inner thoughts, while a persona is a manifestation of the same feelings but tamed and trained. They aren't like spirits, who have their own free will and forms.
"Persona are related to myths and legends in my world." As he summoned Pixie, the small mischief fairy flew around the group, causing mischief.
Korra and Asami were giddy about the cuteness, and the avatar remembered seeing silhouette with wings when she was healing Minato. Pixie even pranked Bolin by sitting on his head, who tried to swap ways and hit himself.
"She is called Pixie in my world of myth. Pixies are small mischievous creatures that inhabit the countryside and woodlands that like to play pranks on humans, who appear in the local folklore of southwest England."
"What about the other one that looks like you?" Mako remembers that persona.
Minato dismissed Pixie and summoned Orpheus next as the familiar persona floats above him while everyone looks in awe and fear.
"Orpheus" In Greek mythology, Orpheus was the son of the Thracian king Oeagrus, and the muse Calliope Apollo, fond of Orpheus, gave him a small golden lyre, which he quickly mastered. Taught to sing verses by his mother, Orpheus was so skilled at making music that he was called "Master of Strings" and "Father of Songs," capable of such music that even rocks and animals would be compelled to dance.
"Wow, is that how you're able to summon other spi-persona?" Bolin's eyes sparkled
"No, only I, the exemption, and others like me."
"How come?" Asami asked why.
"We are what we call wild cards. Persona users that could summon multiple personas and like special ability benders are very rare." Minato was told about lava bending, which was considered very rare and unique bending abilities.
"So why are the myths and legends connected to your persona?" Tenzin asked curiously.
"That we don't know why our personas are related to myths and legends." The Kirijo group theorizes about how and why it is connected to the collection of human consciousness, or C-world. Minato knows it, but it is too complicated to explain.
"Does it have any limitations?" Mako's words regarded Minato as a threat.
"Yes, I can only summon one persona per time; summoning more than two would burden me, especially stronger ones." Summoning Thanatos was already hard enough.
There were no more questions at the moment as everyone was trying to digest what Minato had told them.
"It's a lot to take in." Tenzin felt like he had never prepared for such situations; even his father, Avatar Ang, went to the spirit world, which looked so small in comparison.
"I'm more surprised that I arrived in this world, your world to be exact." Minato said.
Bolin raised his arm up. "Question: What does another world mean? Is it similar to the spirit world or something?" Being the only doofus in the group he didn't understand.
"No, Bolin, another world is like going from one nation to another, and every world has different cultures, technology, species, and humans. It was theories that there existed infinite worlds that were both different and similar to our own. Example , What if the four nations never had bending abilities or that the fire nation won the hundred-year war?" Minato is giving them an example.
"That sounds both awesome and frightening," Korra shivered at the thought that the Fire Nation had won the hundred-year war and defeated Avatar Ang, or worse, Avatar Ang was never released from his ice prison. As such, nobody could stop Ozai from scorching the earth kingdom.
"So you're saying there might be another me in another world, but different like I have might join my father?" Was Asami thinking? A small part of her wanted to join her father out of love and loyalty, even knowing it was wrong.
Mako held Asami's hand and smiled to comfort her, and she appreciated it.
"Precisely such a world might exist; maybe even a world that I've never even existed that Korra might have never met me, but only all of you."
Minato's words made Korra feel uncomfortable at the thought of growing up without someone by her side. In truth, before she met Minato, she was lonely, and the only way to not feel alone was by being the Avatar. She focused on her duty as a way to cope with her loneliness. Sure, Tenzin's help made her feel less alone, but even that's not enough.
"It's still confusing." Bolin still didn't get it.
"So why are you here in our world?" Tenzin asked the question—the one question that was on everyone's minds.
Minato took a deep breath and released, "That I don't know whatever reason I was in this world, and I don't know why it's complicated."
"What happened to you to be in this world?" Tenzin asked again.
"I'm sorry, that's a personal question. Maybe someday I'll tell you." It was uncomfortable to remember it.
"Very well, I understand." Tenzin knew some things were too sensitive to tell.
Minato looks at his childhood friend, "Korra, what do you think about me knowing that I'm not like the rest of you and that I'm not from this world?"
Korra sighs, "I don't know. It's just a lot to take in. The childhood friend is from another world, and it's not a non-bender but a person user that is equal power like the Avatar."
"Is this persona able to use elements?" Tenzin asked.
"Yes, very similar to the four elements but different, for example." Minato is showing his palm and conjuring a small, like an ice prism. "I can summon ice, but I cannot summon water, unlike water benders; they can turn water into ice and ice into water."
"Fascinating" Tenzin look at the floating ice prism.
Minato showed other elements like electricity, fire, wind, light, and darkness.
"You don't have an earth element?". Tenzin asked
"Yes, and don't ask why we don't know why we don't have such an element".
Asami wanted to ask something, and she managed to figure it out." About that idea you gave me for future industries, was it from your world?" Asami said.
Minato just smiled"Yes, and why not? It's something they couldn't sue me for plagiarism and copyright. Minato just shrugged.
"Yeah, you got that right." Asami approved as there's no rule for using what you learn.
"Still, we need to keep your existence about being in another world, and a persona a secret" Tenzin knew this kind of power would attract attention the bad kind attention.
"Let me guess everyone would try to find ways to use my powers or try replicating them." Minato sarcastic said.
"Yes, I'm sorry such power would only attract the worst kind." Tenzin shivered at the prospect of the Fire Nation obtaining such power during their conquest.
Minato believes that this is not the first time someone has conducted hidden research on persona users. Persona users can be thought of as benders; only those with potential can be benders. Avatar Ang children were one of the examples due to their parents' DNA; one of them may be airbenders, none-benders, or waterbenders, as well as the Jackpot gene, which the child could receive from their parents.
"It's why you hold some kind of device and point it at your head as a way to summon a persona?" Korra asked curiously.
Minato pulled out the Evoker and showed them, "This device is called an Evoker; enable me to summon a persona."
"How and under what conditions?" Tenzin asked.
"Memento Mori"
"Excuse me?" Korra was confused.
"It means remember you are mortal. Remember you will die."
"That's deep," Bolin said.
"Why does that mean there's anyway to summon a persona?" Mako asked.
"The shape of the Evoker is like a gun, a weapon from my world; it's able to fire deadly projectiles called slug throwers that could kill anyone on impact," Minato described to everyone as the weapon that was used in his world.
Everyone was frightened by the fact that such a weapon existed.
"I don't plan to spread such a thing in this world. Weapons could only bring harm and destruction in the wrong hands. No matter what they say, I will not create weapons of mass destruction." Minato will never share with the world about weapons and other things that could bring harm to this world.
"That reassured me" Tenzin was relieved that Minato had the decency to draw the line.
"Still doesn't explain why it looks like a weapon?", Bolin asked.
"A person must have the resolve to live and fight whatever despair you feel, including death. You can imagine if a firebender pointed your head at his flame and burned your skull".
Everyone grimaced at the thought of having their skulls burned or punctured.
"Let me try" the earth bender wanted to try summoning a Persona.
"Be my guess," Minato just gave him.
Bolin took the evoker and pointed at his head like Minato, but then he felt something. Bolin started to sweat and hyperventilate because the device was a weapon that could kill him. Few seconds passed, and Bolin just gave back to Minato.
"It's alright, not everyone could do it." He remembered Yukari trying and couldn't do it when trying to protect him.
Tenzin looked at the time and knew they needed to do "as much as we wanted to ask more." Korra and I had some business to attend to.
Police Headquarters
The new Chief of Police was a middle-aged man who was bald. He stood at the podium in front of reporters from every newspaper and radio program that concerned themselves with this kind of news. Behind him were the members of the council, along with fellow police officers, and Korra the Avatar was there.
Saikhan announced "It was an honor serving under Chief Beifong for many years, and I wish her a speedy recovery. It is with great humility that I take her place as the new Chief of Police. Republic City is facing a threat like none this side of the world has ever seen, but there is one man who's been effective against Amon's revolution, Councilman Tarlok."
Tarlok just bowed his head to the reporters. "That is why, for all matters involving the Equalists, I will report directly to him. The police department will lend any and all resources to the councilman and his task force until we quell this insurgency."
"But I heard that Chief Beifong and the Avatar managed to thwart Hiroshi Sato's plan and that we lost a few metal benders in the process," the reporter asked.
"Well, it's true. Thanks to the Avatar, the republic police managed to stop Hiroshi Sato, but alas, the man escaped, but I assure you we have captured all the Mecha Tanks and terrorists involved."
"During the attack, the people saw a purple light shoot to the sky. What was that?" another reporter asked.
"We believe that it was Hiroshi Sato's other secret weapon that he tried to unleash but failed," the new chief of police explained.
The reporter stated to ask more questions, and Baldy answered every question.
"I'm surprised nobody mentioned the giant hole," Korra whispered at Tenzin as she looked at Tarrlok with a scowl.
"Probably they wanted to maintain the image that it was the Avatar and Republic City police who are the ones that stopped Hiroshi's plan."
"I don't like it." Korra doesn't like it that she was giving credit, as Minato should be the one.
"You already know why we must keep it a secret," Tenzin tried to reason with Korra.
The tribeswomen understood that doesn't mean she liked it.
They waited for the announcement to be done and the reporters to leave before walking over to Tarrlok. "Tarrlok, I don't know what you did to get Chief Saikhan into your pocket, but I highly doubt it was legal."
"Oh, Tenzin, always the conspiracy theorist. Did you ever consider Saikhan simply recognizing my talents and wanting the best for this city?"
Tarlok notices Korra "Well, Avatar Korra. Long time, no see Now that your little pro-bending distractions are over, I look forward to your return to my task force."
She laughed and folded her arms. "Forget it! There's no way I'm joining your vanity project."
"That is unfortunate to hear, but I'm sure you'll come to your senses as you have in the past."
"Don't hold your breath, bub. You know, Tenzin's been right about you all along. You played me, you played Beifong, and now you're playing the new Chief too. Well, I got news for you."You need me, but I don't need you. I'm the Avatar." She got up in his face.
He just looked at her smug. "You are not, in fact, an avatar. You are merely a half-baked avatar in training. Which reminds me, how is your bending going? Made any significant progress with that?" Tarlok scorned and mocked.
All she could do was look down and clench her teeth. "I didn't think so. If you will not be a part of my task force, then you'd better stay out of my way." He turned around to leave.
Tenzin came forward to place a comforting hand on Korra's shoulder as they watched him walk away.
Minato was in his room as he lay on the bed pondering his situation and what to do. So many things finally unravel; all the memories he lost finally return and don't bring the comfort he wanted but more loneliness.
"Mitsuru" was the only word he said to the women he loved and cared for. He knew he couldn't see her and others again, but he did not regret sacrificing his life so that they could live for the future.
"Knock Knock." Someone was knocking on the door.
"It's open," Minato called, as he didn't expect it to be Asami entering his room.
"Can I enter?" She asked shyly
"Sure," as he invited another girl into his room as this was becoming a routine.
As the heiress enters the room, she sits on the bed next to Minato and doesn't know what to say.
Minato decided to break the silence. "Is this about your father?"
"Yes, I'm confused right now. I don't know what to do. My father was a good person; it was when my mother died that he changed. I saw the sign and I thought he would move on for my sake. But I was just ignorant of the truth." Asami feels like it's her fault for not noticing or just ignoring.
"It's not your fault; you're just afraid to see what's underneath the façade."
Asami didn't deny it, as she was afraid that her father would change her. "The truth is, I don't remember much about my mother. I was just so young and naïve at that time. Father told me that my mother went on a trip and wouldn't be back. It was as I grew up that I learned the truth about what happened to her, but my father Hiroshi Sato never thought me to hate benders nor show prejudice towards them." She doesn't know was it hiding the truth or that he didn't hate them before.
"Raising me as a single parent was hard, but he never showed me any anger or hatred but taught me to be kind and humble to anyone".
"That means there's still a chance to help Hiroshi amend what he did with his love for you, which prevents him from becoming like now a man out for revenge".
"What do you think happened?"
"Amon happen I'm not surprised that he influenced Hiroshi and started the Equalist campaign in secret; all you need is to point out that hate and the hole would fill with hate and anger."
"What do we need to do?"
"You just need to remind him that you're not alone and that Asami would be by his side; he just needed to remember those happy times."
"Thank you," Asami truly appreciates Minato advice.

"You're welcome, Asami."
Asami was grateful to Minato, as he was like a friend that she could trust and rally to.
She decided to leave the room. "There's something I want to ask," she said.
"Yes, what is it?"
"Nothing; it isn't important. Still, thank you for the talk."
Minato started to think that Asami wanted to say something but brushed it aside; he just hoped it didn't involve another complicated love drama; he already got enough with Korra.
"Achoo!"
"Having a cold now Korra?"
"Somebody must be talking about me probably Tarlok".
The Duo were flying back to the island and at that moment, all they had was each other to talk to "I don't understand what's wrong with me,I've memorized nearly all of the practice forms, but I still can't produce a single measly puff of air! I'm a failure," she declared with a downcast expression.
"No, you're not, You just need to work through this Airbending block."
"Amazing advice, I'll get right on that." Sarcastic saying.
"I wasn't finished yet. You see, Aang not only had his Bending teachers, but also his past lives to call upon for guidance. Have you ever made contact with your past lives?"
"No, of course I haven't. Didn't you get the memo from the White Lotus? I'm a spiritual failure too."
"You may have made a connection without realizing it. Perhaps something you mistook for a dream?" Tenzin said.
"Maybe. I had a few weird hallucinations, but I hardly even remember them." They were like dreams, always vanishing once she awoke.
"And did you see any past Avatars in these visions?" Tenzin asked
"I saw Aang. It seemed like he was in trouble. What do you think it means?"
"Hmm, I don't know, but I urge you to mediate on these visions. I believe that Aang's spirit must be trying to tell you something." The rest of the flight was spent in silence.
Tenzin decided to ask a personal question: "So... Korra, what are your thoughts on the Minato Arisato situation?"
"Why?" Korra looked at Tenzin back.
"It's just that both of you are similar in that you are the Avatar and a persona user, probably the only persona user in existence in our world."
Korra sighs, "It's a lot to wrap up my childhood that I know and grew up together is from another world and had some kind of power that could rival the Avatar state. Yes, I'm overwhelmed, Tenzin!" Kora scratched her head in frustration.
"Are you angry at him?"
" No! Of course not; he didn't keep a secret, like he said he lost his memories."
"Then what is it?"
"Because he could summon his persona as easily as a bending and frustrated me, especially summoning wind elements like airbending," Korra envious Minato could summon elements that easily.
"You know Minato could help with your airblock," Tenzin said, giving the tribeswomen a suggestion.
"I know it's just that I don't know Tenzin. I'm so confused."
"Then what is it?"
"Maybe I just don't want things to change. We have been together for so long, then just this morning I learned things that made Minato different than I know more about him, and it scares me." It wasn't just hearing another version of her never meeting her childhood friend and growing up alone. She doesn't know how the other Korra feels.
"You're afraid that it would change your friendship."
"Yes! Of course I don't want to be like you and Beifong."
Tenzin found it offended using him as an example: "Korra, as I know Minato isn't that type of person; he would still fight Amon to keep you safe, not out of duty but as a friend that he both loved and cared for you."
"Maybe you're right, Tenzin. I just need to trust him; after all, he's the person I can trust."
"That's the spirit."
Later that night, Korra sat on the rocky cliff of the island that overlooked the city and the statue of Aang.
She had no idea what she was getting from staring at her predecessor, other than the impression of being really insignificant. Avatar Aang, the guy, was still a legend who had accomplished many things and could likely manage the Equalists. He was a man who learned all four bending techniques in a year while ending a century-long conflict.
Then her childhood acquaintance appeared, standing next to her. "Beautiful, isn't it reminding me of the statue of liberty in America, They say she symbolizes freedom."
"Oh, so your world has one of those."
"Yeah, a few of them exactly, and we didn't have benders to help build it."
"I'm pathetic, Minato," as tears began to leak out of her eyes.
"Is this about why you can't bend air?" sarcastic in the last part.
"Yes, Tarlok is calling me a halfwit avatar."
"Then his right."
"Heh!" Korra felt offended that her childhood friend didn't try to support her.
"But he is also wrong; you can airbend."
She was surprised but still felt down. "They why can't I?"
"It's simple: air is the element of freedom. Airbenders detach themselves from worldly problems and concerns; finding internal peace and freedom is the key to their bending art." Minato had a time reading what culture was left by Airbenders. It reminds me of monks from his world.
"You aren't at peace, Korra. You are weighted down with too many problems. You need to be free." Minato pointed at Korra dramatically.
"How can I be free?" that was the question.
"Come on, stand with me."
Korra follows and stands up facing Minato, as she doesn't care anymore.
Minato summons Orpheus as the personas float above them.
"Why do you summon a persona?"
"All can be explained now; close your eyes, take a deep breath, and release," Minato told Kora what she needed to do.
She was skeptical, but the Avatar knew that Minato is someone she trusts the most as she follows his guide.
"Do not remember your problem; think about what made you happy and relax." Orpheus played a relaxing tune that harmonized their surroundings, then Minato softly took Korra's hand, and then he put his own hand above her palm and used a Garu spell to conjure a small wind. Korra could feel something on her palm.
"Don't open your eyes; maintain that feeling; be both free and happy." Minato urges her not to be distracted.
Korra followed his directions, and she felt tranquil, as if all of her burdens and problems had vanished, something she hadn't felt in a long time. She was like the wind, free of all the burdens that weighed her down and floating in the sky.
"Now, open your eyes." Minato removed his hand, and Korra noticed something extraordinary on her palm: a tiny twister.
"I did that!" Korra exclaimed upon seeing the twister.
"Yes, all you needed was to remind you what it needed to be free." Minato was pleased that his directions were effective.
Korra then used her other hand to conjure a miniature twister, which worked, but both scattered as she lost focus.
"Like I said, you just need the right push and guidance."
Korra jumps and hug Minato. "Thank you, thank you." You're the best. Minato shed tears of joy knowing she was able
"You can come out now!" Minato shouted, and then came Asami, Mako, and Bolin, who looked embarrassed, knowing they were ears dropping well, not everything.
"Yeah, we just heard that you helped Korra with her block."
"Everything okay?" asked Mako with a look of concern on his face.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Korra answered. "I can airbend," as she produced a small twister on her palm.
"That's great," Mako said.
Korra, just look at Republic City and sigh. "The city is in chaos right now with an equalist threat."
"So I can't do it alone even with airbending," the Avatar realized something: if she managed to learn airbending, then what use force to fight the Equalist then everything would be balance. Yeah right it's more complicated.
"And you're not alone, just like Avatar Aang wasn't alone. He had his friends to help him. Look, the arena might be shut down, but we're still a team. The new Team Avatar!" Bolin said.
"We got your back, Korra, and we can save this city," Mako told her. He, Bolin, and Asami came together and placed their hands on top of one another. There was a space open for Korra and Minato; they were waiting for them.
She stood up and faced them. "Yeah, let's do it!" she said, placing her hand on the pile including Minato.
What felt like a truly epic moment for the five of them was ruined when Meelo landed on their hands with an air-bending fart. "Yeah, let's do it! What are we doing?" That question made everyone laugh.
At first the four of them were on Naga, but the weight could support them. And the polar bear dog comically fell. "I already knew this was going to happen," Minato looked from the side. "Come on, I got an idea."
Later, they went to the garage, and Minato opened the door, showing the car Tarlok gifted them, painted black with orange flame stripes on both sides.
"Wow, it looks so awesome," Bolin quickly rubbed his face on the surface of the vehicle.
"When did you have the time to do this?" Korra was awed.
"I have time when you're busy learning airbending and practicing pro bending. I just decided to modify the vehicle. Pretty sweet, right?" Minato replied proudly.
"I like it, especially the flame stripes." Asami approved of the design.
"You do realize it won't fit the five of us," Mako said, making a point.
"I already have my ride," pointing at the motorcycle parked in the garage next to the vehicle.
"Aw, how come he got his own ride?" Bolin was jealous.
"Do you know how to drive, Bolin?" Minato rhetorically asked.
"…."
"Thought so."
Then they waited on a ship to get to the docks since Air Temple Island didn't have a bridge, so that's the only way.
"You know we should build a bridge between the island and Republic City; it would be much easier to go and transport supplies." Minato suggested
"That's a good idea," Korra said, liking the idea as it was boring to keep waiting for the boat to get to the other side.
"Won't it disturb the ships that sail through here?" Mako could see the flaws.
"Not if built over it or under it."
"It is possible to build such a bridge." Asami was curious about the idea.
"Yes, in my world, the Golden Gate Bridge is acclaimed as one of the world's most beautiful bridges and is both taller and bigger, allowing ships to sail below it easily.
"Sounds like a challenge," Asami wanted to try building such a bridge.
"Maybe after this is over, we could try to build a bridge between Air Temple Island and Republic City."
"I like the sound of that." Asami's desire drove her to create something impossible.
XXX
They arrived at the docks and drove off, Mako in the passenger seat, Asami driving, and the others in the back. While Minato was riding his motorcycle alongside them.
The new team Avatar drives about the city, seeking anything odd..
"Calling all units, level four alert. Jailbreak at headquarters. Officers down, electrocuted. Chi-blockers and Equalist convicts are still at large, armed and dangerous. Last seen heading east. I repeat, level four alert, Equalist jailbreak."
"My dad had police scanners installed in all of his cars," Asami explained as the scanners turned on. "I guess now I know why."
Two Equalists on motorcycles beside an armored truck drive past. "I see the Chi-blockers going south on Boomerang Blvd. Anyone nearby? We can use the backup!"
They drove down the street just as a truck started to come in from a side street. "Korra, Bolin, give me a ramp now!" Asami yelled as the two who were on the side stood up.
Minato summoned Pixie. Since the persona was small, it could be hidden. "Mako, use your lightning to take down the motorcycles. Korra and Bolin provided support. I'll take down the strangles but make sure minimum damage is done!"
"Understood, Roger. I don't follow your orders."
Both of them swing their arms as they earthbend the ramp as the car clears the ramp and flies over the truck and lands safely before they continue the chase. Mako stands up and generates lightning. And threw it at the tire of one of the motorcycles, and they fell to the ground.
Bolin and Korra bend tiny earth rocks from the ground, and he hurls them towards the Equalists at a rapid-fire rate.
The Equalist motorist dodged a couple of the rocks, but it was too much for him; they managed to take out his back tire, having the motorcycle spin out of control and fall to the ground.
Asami swerves the car to avoid the fallen Equalist. The third Equalist looks back at the commotion before he switches on his dashboard; black smoke billows out of the exhaust.
Minato, seeing this, summoned his wind spell, "Garu!" as it blew away the smoke, allowing them to continue the chase.
"Thanks for the cover," Asami said.
"You can thank them after we apprehend them first."
Knowing their tricks didn't work, the Equalists sped up when they turned to the right.
"Help me out! We gotta make this turn!" Korra stands up with a hand in front of her face. Before a rounded ramp is bent from the ground. The car drives over the ramp, followed by the motorcycle, making the turn successfully as they still pursue.
"Mako, focus on the truck tires when I give the signal. Asami maintains speed". She leans forward and changes gears.
When they got behind the motorcycles, Minto used his garu spell again, sending one of them flying off. Mako fired his lightning again at the rider, and the vehicle crashed. Eventually, they reached the truck.
"Mako now!" The firebender fired his lightning at the back tire, destroying it as the driver tried to control the vehicle. "Korra, use my ice to pull the truck."
Korra nodded.
"Jack Frost!" The snowman appears and conjures an ice block that Korra uses to create a water whip as she uses it to pull the truck, causing it to slow down even more and finally stop." Now Asami electrocuted the truck!". Asami quickly got out of her vehicle and used her shock gauntlets, releasing electricity that surrounded the truck and electrocuted the Equalist from the inside.
Mission accomplished with minimal damage as they did
XXX
Later, the group with the tied-up Equalists as reporters took their picture.
As the reporters finished up, sirens began to echo in the air, and police cars showed up on the street behind the team. "Avatar Korra, what do you think you are doing?" Tarrlok demanded as he approached her while his task force took care of the prisoners.
She greeted the council members casually and mockingly. "Oh, hey, Tarrlok, nice of you to show up finally. Here, we captured the escaped convicts for you."
"What you did was tear up the city and impede the real authorities in pursuit of these criminals,"
"Councilman Tarlok, we already made sure to minimize the damage; as you can see, no harm was done," Minato says, hoping to avoid any further objections.
"He claimed that he didn't see your tiny task force or the cops the entire time. If it hadn't been for Team Avatar, they would have escaped."
"This is your last warning: Stay out of my way!" He turned around and returned to the police car.
Korra watched them drive away, satisfied that she had scored a hit on the councilman. After everything was said and done, she got into the car with the rest of the team. "That was a job well done."
"I agree our first team was up, and we did good." Mako was impressed.
"Yeah, following your guide and orders was what made it happen," Bolin remarked, pointing at the persona user."Oh, here's an idea: why don't we make Minato our leader of Team Avatar?" Bolin suggested the persona user as team leader.
"I agree." Korra promptly agreed to the motion.
"I second it." Even Asami liked the idea.
"What? Are you all just going to agree? Mako disputes that the new guy was chosen as leader.
"What's wrong? Minato has already shown how well he can command us, besides I trust him." Korra reassured her that her childhood was trustworthy and reliable.
"Yeah, bro, why not? Besides, this is different from pro-bending."
"I guess Mako just sighed and accepted.
"So will you accept?" Bolin asked.
For Minato this isn't the first time he was chosen as leader. Might as well go with the flow. "I accept."
In city hall, Tenzin was having a hard time as Tarlok wanted to initiate a force curfew towards NB, and Tenzin protested, as this would create more friction between benders and non-benders. But in the end the council voted for Tarlok's proposition out of fear.
Knowing that Amon and his Equalists are on the loose with Hiroshi Sato backing them up. The council is now in Tarlok palm, and Tenzin can't do anything.
And of course he heard about his kids' vigilantism trying to help Republic City. All they really got was a stern lecture from Tenzin about how they should've let him know about what they were doing. Even he can't stop them knowing how stubborn they are.

So far, they have been patrolling the city for three nights now, and nothing big has happened; they did have some small scuffles, easily dealt with.
The fourth night they were taking a small break from patrolling, lounging around the car while eating steam buns and drinking tea. Minato drank his tea and kind of wished for some coffee right now. If he could find plants similar to his world, like coffee beans, he could produce a new beverage and probably gain popularity.
"I don't like it," said the persona user as he finished his tea. Also caught everyone's attention.
"Why is that?" Korra asked.
"We have been patrolling the streets for three nights, and not a single mech tank on sight or anything related to Amon."
"So what? That means we are so good at our job," Bolin said, showing his muscles.
"You don't use or test new weapons just for show. They are waiting for the right time to strike. It's like the calm before the storm, and it makes me anxious. What are they planning?"
They didn't say anything to one another as they ate. They were trying to enjoy their meal until they heard from the vehicle.
"All available units, please respond to the fifty-six hundred block of Dragon Flats borough," the police scanner squawked to life, getting their attention. "Equalists have taken to the streets; consider them armed and dangerous. Proceed with caution."
That was all they needed to get going. "I call the front!" Bolin hopped into the passenger seat beside Asami.
"After you," Mako said to Korra, letting her get into the back seat of the car first.
"What a gentleman, thanks," she replied, taking his offered hand to get in.
Asami readjusted the rearview mirror to get a better look at what was behind her and also to get a look at Korra and Mako, who looked rather cozy in the back. Asami was no fool; for the past three days during patrol and in the air temple, Mako would glance at Korra when she wasn't looking. Mako might try to fool her, but she knows.
But now wasn't the time to think about it. They had to get to Dragon Flats Borough. She started the Satomobile up and drove it towards their destination as Minato followed from behind.
Minato looked at Asami's glare and knew what was going on. Since he had sharp observation and knew about what was happening ever since the brothers started to live in Air Temple Island, he noticed that Mako would glare at him when he was with Korra and glance at Korra when Asami was not looking.
Mako was starting to have feelings for Korra, but the question was why now? Was it because she had a fire spirit, like a fire bender? Was it because of the kiss, or was it that he was into Korra and used Asami as an excuse to avert his true feelings?
XXX
The Dragon Flats borough stretched out before them, lacking any of the opulence people first think of when they think of Republic City. The buildings there barely topped three floors, and more than most needed some kind of repair. Minato knew this was the lowest part of the city, as there were no benders living here.
"Why is the power out?" Korra asked as they drove through. The only light that they could see was from the police airship in the air above. Every single building was dark.
They could hear the noise of a crowd in the distance. Asami drove toward the noise, as it grew louder.
When she finally stopped the car and everyone stood up to get a good look, they saw a crowd of people. But it was a crowd penned in by a blockade and metal-bending police. "Wait a second. These people aren't armed or dangerous," Asami said.
"Sure, it doesn't look that way," Korra replied. She could see the angry faces in the crowds and hear the protests they were making.
"All non-benders, return to your homes immediately," Saikhan announced through a megaphone from where he stood atop a police truck.
"Yeah, as soon as you turn the power back on!"
"Disperse, or you will all be arrested." Saikhan continues with his threat.
"You Benders can't treat us like this!" a woman in the crowd shouted.
A child, saw Korra. "Mommy, look!" "It's the Avatar!"
All eyes swung to the Avatar as they realized that she was there. "Please help us! You're our Avatar too!"
Korra looked at the crowd. She saw that even though there were angry people, there were also people who were scared and confused, looking to her for help.
She strode forward into the crowd, pushing two cops out of her way. "Everyone, please stay calm; I'm going to put a stop to this."
Minato looked at Korra in concern; this is something not even a brute force could handle.
She turned around and walked away with her team behind her. She was intent on finding the person in charge of this debacle because there was no chance Saikhan would have thought of it first.
She had a feeling she knew who it was, and it was confirmed when she saw Tarrlok standing at a nearby command tent, talking to one of his task force members. "Tarrlok!". "You need to turn the power back on and leave these people alone."
"Avatar Korra, you and your playmates have no business here."
"We're not going anywhere. You don't have the right to treat these innocent people like criminals."
"This is an equalist rally. There's nothing innocent about it. Tarlok raised his hand to address the gathering.
"They're not equalists; they're just normal people who want their rights back," Asami said to him.
"They are the enemy!"
"What enemy is the enemy of being oppressed by you?" Minato added:
The cops moved forward with the blockade. They bent the legs from the barriers and then coiled them around large groups of protesters. There were shouts of surprise as the non-benders were forced to back up among themselves as the coils grew tighter and tighter. T
The cops took it one step further and bent the earth beneath the coiled protesters out of the ground and up into the air. What few who weren't caught by the coil ran away, screaming in panic.
"Stop!" the Avatar cried out, running forward and earthbending the floating boulders back into the ground, letting those who had been caught free.
Tarrlok ran forward as well with his task force behind him. His eyes burned with fury at the sight of the Avatar freeing the supposed Equalists; he hated it, his so-called plan thwarted again. But then his eyes turned to her team, and he saw an opportunity.
Asami, Bolin, and Mako just watched as the people went free. Then Asami felt something cold and wet grasp her arm. She saw a whip of water coiled around her hand, being bent by Tarrlok. "Hey! Let me go!" she protested, getting the attention of the rest of her team.
"You're under arrest!" Tarrlok told her.
"What? You can't do that!" Mako protested.
"Actually, I can," pulling Asami forward so his men could grab hold of her. "She's an NB out past curfew, and her father is a known Equalist conspirator."
"Let her go!" Mako demanded.
"Arrest him and his brother!" was the order to nearby cops, who put the metal cables on them quicker than they could blink and dragged them over to their side.
"Tarrlok!" Korra shouted before bending the earth around her up into two giant boulders.
"Kora, it's not worth it." Mako warned her
"Korra, this is what Tarlok wants. Don't play his game," Minato replied.
Korra begrudges lowering her bending knowing she can't do anything or make things worse.
Tarlok smiled that he had won.
"So you aren't going to arrest me." Minato sarcastically said
"No," as he walked away. Tarlok knew how Minato had a good friendship with Tenzin and how he was getting good opinions from the other councils, and he needed their good grace for now.
At the police station, Tenzin, Korra, and Minato try to bail out the trio for their unjust imprisonments, but Saikhan just ignores their pleas. Not even Tenzin, who is a member of the council, could bail her friends out of jail. The only way was to have a talk with Tarlok tomorrow morning for their release and other NB.
With nothing to do, the trio went back to Air Temple Island. Minato told Korra that she needed to trust Tenzin and be patient; also, it's a good time to rest after the whole night.
XXX
Korra couldn't sleep or wait, even though Minato told her to be patient. Being patient wasn't Korra's strong suit, so it was decided she had to do it on her own. Minato shouldn't have known what she was about to do. Don't get her wrong; she would have preferred to have the persona user with her, but her honor and pride as an Avatar compelled her to settle the matter with Tarlok alone.
What happened to her friends is what motivated her to fix the problem on her own: a sense of impotence and an inability to do anything.
Later that night, as snow fell from the sky, she rode Naga in silence to City Hall. She was going to do something. She looked up at City Hall and saw lights coming from Tarrlok's office.
"Wait for me here, girl," she told Naga as she dismounted. The polar bear dog pressed her head against Korra, which she returned with a comforting hug. "Don't worry, I'll be alright."

Korra arrived at Tarrlok's office, where he was signing papers at a large desk with a waterfall display behind him. "You and I need to talk."
"Are any of the other Council members here?" Tarrlok asked his assistant, who stood beside the desk.
"I believe everyone has gone home for the night."
"Then you should do the same."
"Are you sure, sir?"
"Leave us," Tarrlok commanded. The servant did as he was told and quickly left the room, not even bothering to pick up the papers that had fallen onto the ground. Once he left, Tarrlok was alone in the room with Korra. "You obviously have something on your mind." "Spit it out," he was not in the mood.
"Don't you see? You're doing what Amon says is wrong with Benders. You're using your power to oppress and intimidate people."
"And you don't."
She was caught off guard by that question. "Of course not!" she protested.
"Isn't that what you came to do? "Intimidate me into releasing your friends?" he challenged her, receiving a frown in return. "That's what I appreciate about you, Korra: your willingness to go to extraordinary lengths to achieve your goals. It is a characteristic that we both possess.
"You and I are nothing alike; besides, Minato would say I have better characteristics." Korra is cocky, not succumbing to Tarlok's intimidation.
Tralok vein bulged ever single time it was about that boy "Look, I'll make you a deal. You fall in line and do what I say and I'll release your friends,"
"That's why you arrested them? To get to me?" a little shocked.
"I need your answer."
Korra wanted to know what was Tarlok so wanted to gain her support the gifts , the party and his task force theirs something more to it. "Tell me something Tarlok why go all lengths just to get to me is because I'm the Avatar that you wanted more power or to be well known in republic city through my support you already have all that what more you want?" She was starting to think like Minato to find out what and why.
Korra wanted to know why Tarlok was so eager to garner her support for the gifts, the party, and his task force. There's something more to it. Tell me something, Tarlok. Why go to such lengths to get to me? Is it because I am the Avatar that you sought more power or to become well-known in Republic City with my assistance? You already have all of that. "What else do you want?" She began to think like Minato to figure out what and why.
"Korra, one thing I learned was that while power and prestige can get you far, as an Avatar, you can get anything in the world with your help. I may become a beacon for the city; that is my goal: to be this city's brilliant beacon of hope, surpassing Avatar Ang." He declared.
"Is that why you want power, so that you want to be a hero that surpasses Avatar Ang?" Korra thought. "What a hero complex."
"Yes, my dear Korra, that is my greatest desire: to be this city's savior."
'Scratch the Savior complex'. Korra knew there was more. When you grow up with a boy who is sharp at reading people, you may learn that he/she has a hidden objective. "Is this what you want, or is someone else telling you what to do?"
"What are you talking about?" "Of course, it is my ambition to be the city's rescuer." He insisted that was his desire.
"Nail it": Korra thought " Is this really what you want, or are you merely following in someone else's footsteps?"
Tarrlok's thoughts conjured up the image of someone specific. "Of course that is what I wanted: power, money, and prestige!"
"Or is this just an excuse? I know there is more. Tarlok, this is not about power; it is about me, right? Korra crossed her arms.
"Enough I asked you again do you accept my offer!"
"No. You might be able to manipulate Chief Saikhan into following you, but it won't work on me."
In silence, he stood up from his chair and looked at the waterfall. "You will regret that decision," he was reaching a breaking point.
"You're just as bad as Amon, probably lower." Korra is smug. And what are you going to do? I doubt you are a pansy who wants to start a fight. Korra riled him up: "You probably have family issues."
He had had enough. Tarrlok then swiftly turns around and throws a blade of water at Korra, cutting his desk in half. Korra dodges the attack. It cuts off some strands of her hair and smashes into the bookshelf behind her as she rolls out of the way.
Korra earthbends the floor at Tarrlok, knocking him back into the waterfall. She then lunges and shoots two streams of fire from her fists at Tarrlok.
Tarrlok creates a bubble around himself to block the attack. Tarrlok begins throwing little ice shards toward Korra in rapid succession once the onslaught has ended. Korra backflips and is pushed against the wall. She moans, dodges, and deflects the shards with her fists until one grazes her side and causes her to grunt in pain.
Tarrlok continues to hail ice, and Korra defends herself by earthbending a massive stone slab. Korra moans as she swings her arms about, and earth distorts the Mural behind the waterfall. The Mural spins, taking Tarrlok by surprise and knocking him through the wall. He stumbles over the railing, but catches it before falling.
Tarrlok catches his breath and looks up at the battle-worn Korra as she stands in front of the hole in the wall. "Still think I'm a half-baked Avatar?" She asks with a smirk before she bends the floor and knocks Tarrlok down to ground level.
Korra then jumps down and creates a shock wave and crater when she lands in front of Tarrlok and stands up. "What are you going to do now? You're all out of water, pal!" Korra begins to approach Tarrlok as he crawls backwards.
She raised her palms and created flames in each hand. "RAH!" Korra lets out a battle cry as she lunges at Tarrlok.
Tarrlok stands and holds his hands out, making Korra stop in her tracks and causing the flames to fly to either side of Tarrlok.
Korra grunts in pain for a moment, then Tarrlok moves his hands, causing Korra's arms to twist back. She groans in pain as Tarrlok holds his stance, and his hand movements force her to her knees. "You're in my way, Avatar… You and that bodyguard of yours need to be removed."
"You're a… You're a bloodbender?"
"Very observant."
"It's not a full moon. How… How are you doing this?"
"There are a lot of things you don't know about me." He twisted Korra around before throwing her against a pillar.
Korra falls to the floor and looks over at Tarrlok, stunned. She sees another vision: a man from the water tribe in pain, a policewoman throwing a metal cable out. She is then blood bent, and the cable falls. She then saw another man looking back and chuckling as Aang reached out towards him.
She suddenly wakes up in the back of a vehicle, groaning as Tarrlok prepares to close the door. She attempts to move but feels as if she is bound up. "Where are you taking me?"
"Somewhere no one will find you." say Goodbye, Republic City, Avatar Korra. You will never see it again. "Your bodyguard will not even find you."
"RAH!" Korra sits up and yells at Tarrlok, breathing fire at him. Tarrlok quickly locks the door, avoiding the fire just in time. Tarrlok banged his fist against the door, realizing he needed to adjust his strategy and plant evidence that the Equalist attacked and captured Avatar Korra.
"You can't do this! Let me out!" Korra yells as the engine starts and the truck drives off. "You can't do this! Let me out! No!"
The one thing in the show is how Asami knew about the satomobile.
Kora is starting to learn how to airbend a little with Minato's help. The one thing I didn't like was how suddenly she could airbend, unlike Ang, who practiced and learned other bendings from the masters.
It's easier to describe a Persona as similar to a stand, as they emerge from your soul.
The personas of the Priestess Arcana are commonly associated with healing and support attributes. Mythological figures of the Priestess Arcana are usually crone archetypes, goddesses of wisdom, witches, female mages, or priestess figures themselves.
The common problem involved with members of the Priestess Arcana is the clash between the person's own feelings involving both their personal interests and their desire to help others. It's not necessarily a conflict, but rather spurs confusion in how they wish to live and help others. Following their experience, advice, and support from others, they untie their misconceptions and realize just how simple their wants are.
Asami is the priestess Arcana. She reminds me of Haru and is similar, as both of them had bad dads. But still love only they wanted their father to change for the better.
Mako already saw Minato as a threat at first since he was a non-bender, but as a persona user, he felt threatened. But one thing that is never shown is how or when Mako started to have feelings towards Korra.
The next chapter would short nothing exciting
