Hrefna slowly made her way towards her tent. She had just left the saloon not too long ago, but before she started to do any work on the farm, she wanted to check out the local Adventure Guild. Looking down at her watch, she noticed it was 2:30... So it should be open by now.

Opening the flap of her tent, Hrefna set down all her fishing gear before she began to put on her armor. Once she strapped on her obsidian breastplate, she decided to forgo her knee guards and spaulders... From what she observed so far, there weren't any big monsters around this area that would warrant her to wear them.

Opening her bag, she grabbed her two short swords and strapped them across her back, then grabbed her two spear chains. Unlocking the cuffs, she latched one to each of her wrist. The chains were about 4 feet long but they both had magical enchantments placed on them that allowed the chains to lengthen when she would throw the seratted kunai that was attached at the end of each chain. Picking up each kunai, she tucked them into the back of her belt.

Looking around one last time to make sure she had everything she needed. When she was satisfied that she did, she left her tent. Walking to the north side of the property, she saw Robin hammering away as she began to work on the foundation of her house. When she caught her eye, Hrefna gave a small wave to her before taking the small pathway that led towards the mountains.

It only took her about 20 minutes to reach the Adventure Guild Headquarters. A small chime went off when she entered, giving away her presence.

"Welcome to the Stardew Valley Adventure Guild Headquarters." A man with graying hair greeted. Hrefna immediately took notice that he had on an eye patch and a small scar over the bridge of his nose, he was definitely a monster hunter.

Hrefna nodded in greeting as she approached him. Looking around briefly, she took in all the weapons and armor that were displayed around the place. "Hi, I'm Raven... I just moved here a couple days ago and I'm looking to register my new residence." It was a mandatory rule to register your location to the nearest Adventure Guild headquarters. A way to keep track of all the hunters was her guess as to the reason why.

The man raised an eyebrow. Looking her over, he had to admit that she did look like a monster hunter despite her small size. "Of course, are you new to monster hunting?"

Hrefna shook her head as she handed him her Hunter ID. "No, I've been monster hunting for about 5 years now."

The man looked over her ID and gave a nod in understanding. "Well, putting you in the system should be easy then. My name is Marlon by the way, I run the guild headquarters and sell any supplies you may need." Marlon then waved over to another man who was on the other side of the room. "The man over in the rocking chair is Gil. He can set you up with any bounties that come in, you can also sell monster loot to him... Are you registering as a solo hunter or are you associated with a guild?"

"Solo." Hrefna glanced over at the other man sitting on his rocking chair, taking notice as he silently observed her every move.

"Don't mind Gil, it takes him awhile to warm up to newbies." Marlon side eyed her as he began to type her information into his computer. Looking over her ID, he notice she hadn't registered anywhere but Narth before now and it hadn't been updated for about 2 years. "So just to make sure everything is up to date, I need to ask you a few questions. Are you still a warrior class?"

Hrefna nodded. "Yes."

"Are your main weapons still short swords and spear chains?"

"Yes..."

Marlon paused before his eye widened slightly as he re-read the next piece of information. "It shows that you are an Onyx rank...What in the world are you doing here?" Marlon stared at her in bewilderment. "You would make more profit by joining up in the Badlands then joining here."

Hrefna stiffened, the Badlands was the last place she needed to be. Their Governing witch was a high ranking member of the Verðandi Coven, she would be found out in a matter of days. "I inherited my grandfather's farm, so I moved here with the hopes of finding something more peaceful."

Marlon gave a small scoff. "Well, you definitely found the right place..." Marlon went back to typing. "You're gonna get bored out here before long... Have you recently ranked up in any A.A tournaments or have you accepted any sponsorships?"

Hrefna grimaced, she really hoped he was wrong, she hated to be bored. "No."

Marlon furrowed his brows as he noticed a small note tagged under her rank. It showed that she had declined 3 different sponsorships two years prior. He looked her over again, why the hell would she be declining sponsorships? It was practically every hunters dream to be able to get sponsored, it was also the only way to reach Diamond rank. Sponsorships were very rare.

Re-reading all her information, he began to get even more suspicious. She was a pretty high rank for someone so young, even for someone growing up in Narth. Narth was nicknamed Death Island for a reason, most natives learned to fight at a very young age in order to survive the harsh conditions but even so, her rank seems too high even for a native. The youngest Diamond rank warrior class in history was 28, it took him 10 years to reach it... This girl was 23. The only class that has been able to reach a high rank at such a young age were gifted mages.

Hrefna slowly began to get antsy. He hadn't asked her anymore questions for a few minutes now, so what was taking him so long? Her eyes narrowed as she began to study his body language, trying to gage what he was thinking. He was stiff and seemed to be carefully reading something. She mentally cursed, of course... He was suspicious about something. She cleared her throat. "Is everything ok?"

Marlon snapped out of his train of thought and looked down at her. He will have to get a hold of Camilla and see if she had a fellow witch registered under the name 'Raven Firestone'. Things just weren't adding up and until then, he will just have to keep an eye on her. "Of course... Welcome to Stardew Valley's Hunter association. You are officially our 23rd member, but as of right now we only have 5 active hunters." He handed back her ID. "So, most of the monsters we need to take care of in this area are located in the mines. There is an elevator that you can use to get to each floor. I usually only have floor 1-50 unlocked since our other 3 hunters are Iron and Gold rank but since you are Onyx, I will unlock all the floors for you. You shouldn't have a problem, Gil and I are Platinum rank and we can take care of anything down there."

Hrefna breathed out a sigh of relief as she put her ID away before giving a nod. "Thank you, I appreciate it. I would like to go explore it for a little bit."

Marlon nodded. "Do you wish to purchase anything before you go?"

Before Hrefna could answer, the door suddenly burst open, revealing a tall blond man and purple haired woman. "How's it goin' Marlon?! Got any new bounties for us!?"

Marlon sighed and shook his head. "Sam, you know I don't deal with the bounties... Talk to Gil."

Sam perked up as soon as his eyes landed on the town's newest member, completely ignoring what Marlon had just said. "Hey, you're that new girl! It's Raven, right?!"

Hrefna cautiously nodded, eyeing Sam wearily. He was rather exuberant. "Yes, hello."

Sam took 3 long strides before stopping in front of her. "Hi! I'm Sam!" He stuck out his hand in greeting.

Hrefna hesitantly shook his hand. "Nice to meet you."

"Don't mind him too much, Sam tends to act like an overly excited puppy but I promise, he's harmless." The woman with purple hair walked up to stand beside Sam and stuck out her hand. "I'm Abigail, but everyone calls me Abi."

Hrefna gave a small smile and shook her hand, she seemed to have a much calmer energy than Sam did, which put her at ease.

"Are you a hunter too?" Sam asked as he excitedly looked Hrefna over, she was really really pretty.

"Yes, I just re-registered." Hrefna almost cracked a small smile as she watched Sam bounced from foot to foot. Abigail was right, he was like an overgrown puppy.

"Oh! Are you in a guild already?! If not you should join ours! We're the Goblin Destroyers!" Sam grinned as he did a dramatic fist pump.

Hrefna tilted her head slightly, why did that name sound familiar?

Abigail rolled her eyes at Sam's antics. "We really could use another member." Abigail smiled with encouragement. "It would be nice to have another girl in the group."

Hrefna hesitated, the offer was kind but she really didn't think she could join another guild ... Not after what happened to her last one. "Thank you for the offer but I usually hunt solo." She took immediate notice that the two slouched in disappointment; she also noticed that Marlon was paying extra close attention to her, so she gave them a small smile. "But I wouldn't mind maybe hunting with you on occasion... To add some extra support." As much as she would love to keep her distance from everyone, she knew if she did it would only make her seem more suspicious... And she had enough suspicion on her at the moment. Plus, in a town this small... She highly doubted that she could get away with being a 'loner'.

Sam brighten immediately. "That would be awesome! Don't worry, we will show you the ropes and you won't have to worry about anything with us around, I will protect ya!"

Hrefna couldn't help it, she cracked an amused smile... If Sam only knew.

"Where's the other one? The dark broody one? You two can't go past floor 25 without him." Marlon warned as he just took notice that they were missing a member. "He's the only one I can actually trust to keep you two alive down there."

Abigail was the first to speak up. "He has work to do today, so Sebastian couldn't make it."

Sam sheepishly scratched the back of his head. "Awwww come on Marlon! Abi and I will be fine!"

Marlon glared at Sam and firmly shook his head no. "I'm not risking it... I don't want to be dragging out any dead bodies tonight."

Sam bit his lip, before looking over at Hrefna. "What if Raven comes with us!" Sam swung his arm across Hrefna's shoulders, which caused her eyes to slightly widen and her body to tense up.

Hrefna hesitated as she turned and saw that both Sam and Abigail were looking at her with big, hopeful eyes. "Uhhh... I'm not staying down there long, and I'm only going down there to look for a couple crystals."

"That's perfect! I need some amethysts. Sam and I can help you. We know what floors most of the crystals are on." Abigail chirpped with a wide grin and Hrefna sighed.

She had a feeling that her small tour through the mines were going to take her all afternoon with these two. Looking between their hopeful faces, she finally gave in and nodded.

Marlon scoffed before waving them away. "Fine, but you three be careful."

Sam and Abigail whooped in excitement before giving each other a high five. Hrefna softly smiled at their childish actions before following them out the door.

Hrefna slowly walked down the mountain path that lead back to the farm. Looking down at her watch, she noticed that it was 7:15. She was gone a lot longer than she had originally planned. The day was pretty much gone, so she wasn't going to be able to start clearing out all the weeds and debris, like she had orginally planned to.

She was successful in getting most of the crystals she needed though. She had collected 8 Earth Crystals, 4 Frozen Tears, 10 Quartz, and 1 Lunarite. There were still several more crystals she needed but for now, this was a pretty good start.

Surprisingly, she had actually enjoyed herself with Abigail and Sam. She really hadn't done any fighting, Sam had taken his roll as 'protector' seriously as Abigail and herself focused on crystal hunting. Which she was fine with, the monsters they came across were pretty low level... And from what she had seen, Sam needed to release his overly excited energy more than she did. He was also a Warrior class. His main weapons being gauntlets and some forms of martial arts.

Abigail on the other hand was an Archer class... Although, she had expressed that she wanted to change her class to Warrior, like her two guild mates. She was currently learning sword techniques from her guild leader. She further explained that their guild leader, who went by the name Sebastian, used a great broadsword as his weapon and he was currently the highest rank in their guild... A Gold rank, Abigail and Sam were Iron ranks, although Sam was pretty close to ranking up to Gold. He had excitedly expressed that he only needed to defeat 300 more monster to get it.

The ranking system was pretty easy from Bronze through Platinum, in which you rank up by completing a certain number of monster kills... But once you reach Platinum, you can only reach Onyx by competing in A.A. Tournaments. Once you reach a certain amount of tournament wins, you level up to Onyx. From there, it becomes extremely more difficult. The only way to reach Diamond rank is by competing in solo Arenas and by getting a Sponsorship. There were a decent amount of hunters that have gotten to Onyx but very few who were offered sponsorships.

Sponsors allowed a hunter to travel worldwide, taking down only the most difficult monsters, all for free. All their traveling expenses, armor and weaponry were fully paid for and they made a killing money wise. It was just like Gus had said, they were 'Rockstar Status'. They could become just as famous as any pro athlete, rockstar, or actors. The sponsors made huge money if the hunter successfully took down any big hunts. Fans of the hunter would literally flock to buy up products or invest in their favorite hunter's sponsored company.

Hrefna absent mindedly ran her right hand through her wet hair as she walked back to her farm. Abigail had showed her where the bath house was located. Which she was so thankful for, she was originally washing herself with cold well water every morning... And best of all, the bath house was open 24/7.

Hrefna turned the corner and made her way across the farm, heading to her tent. By this time the sun had set and Robin was gone, but she noticed that the barn light was still on. Tossing her bag and leather crop jacket inside her tent, before she quickly made her way to the open barn doors to turn it off. She figured that the light was accidentally left on, so she was surprised when she saw a tall man standing in front of her grandfather's truck, tinkering around with the motor.

'This must be Robin's son...' She paused as she silently observed him. He was tall, he had to be close to 6 foot. He was wearing dark denim jeans and a black tank top. Tattoos covered his broad shoulders and upper toned arms. His hair was jet black, stylishly spiked in the back but long in the front, framing his face. When he finally turned to face her direction, she took notice of his piercings and finally his dark violet eyes locked onto hers.

She let out a sharp gasp and unintentionally took a small step back in shock. Her eyes widened in disbelief and her hands clenched. It was impossible... His dark obsidian hair, violet eyes, his sharp jawline, damn it, even his nose... He looked just like them, but it shouldn't be possible. They were long dead. Their entire bloodline was wiped out a century ago, unless... 'The rumors must have been true then.'

"Valentino..." She whispered, almost too scared to say it out loud. He just quirked a confused eyebrow at her.

"Uhhh, no. I'm Sebastian." He slowly scanned her over, observing her odd behavior. Not that she was paying any attention... She was too lost in thought.

The Dark Triad brothers... The Valentino's. Their photos littered Gotoro's history books and the story of their dark reign was told over and over to every witch and wizard since they were little. As a warning of what could happen if you weren't careful... What would happen if you stepped out of line and went too far over the edge. The old royalty line was wiped out a century ago but there had been rumors... Rumors of one of the brothers successful escaping, but no one could be certain since Roman Valentino's body was never found.

Taking a deep breath, Hrefna focused on his aura, searching for any clue. It was faint, but it was there. A dark glow at his center, his magic was deluted, but if he ever unlocked his sol source then he could easily build it to become a serious force. She slowly gulped and took another shuddering breath. He was a descendant, he had to be...

"You good?" Sebastian looked the woman over carefully. He was use to woman admiring his looks but damn, this one looked like she had seen a ghost. Looking her over, he had to admit that she was rather cute herself. Her long wet black hair reached down to her ass and she had curves in all the right places. She was toned, which gave away that she was a fighter. He took noticed of her twin short swords and the chains that were cuffed to her wrists, which confused him. He had no idea what use those could be, if anything, they would be a liability in his opinion. What really caught his interest was her eyes though... He has never met someone with two different colored eyes before. The blue and green suited her well. Giving out a sigh, he tore his eyes away from her and picked up his oil rag, wiping his hands clean. "Alright, listen, you don't have to answer but if you could-"

"Sorry..." Hrefna abruptly snapped out of thought and shook her head to clear it. "My apologies, you reminded me of someone." Clearing her throat, she walked forward and stuck out her hand. "I'm Raven, you're Sebastian, right?"

Sebastian eyed her skeptically before he sighed and briefly shook her hand. "Yes, back to what I was saying..." He paused to toss the oil rag back on the table behind him that was currently covered with motor parts. "It's going to take about 7- 10 days before all your motor parts come in. The other parts you ordered should be here in about 3 days. When they arrive i'll be back to put them together for you."

Hrefna shook her. "You don't have to do that, I can fix those, I really just need help with the-"

Sebastian waved his hand to silence her protests. "Don't worry about it, i'll do it. Your already over paying me for this job as it is. It wouldn't feel right not doing it."

Hrefna opened her mouth to argue but then stopped and gave a small nod. She could understand where he was coming from, especially since she use to work in a garage herself.

Sebastian looked her over one more time before giving her a nod. "I'll be back in 3 days then. Have a goodnight." With that said, he quickly grabbed his phone and made his way out of the barn, not caring to wait for her reply.

Hrefna stood there a moment and sighed, but then jumped slightly when the sound of a loud motorcycle revved up before taking off. She waited a moment longer before walking up to turn off the barn lights and headed back to her tent to get some sleep. On her way out she couldn't help but wonder if Sebastian coming around was a good idea or not.
