heygameknight: A Hellspawn bonded with Zarathos? That is WAY too OP. That's like near Infinity Stones level.

Godofwar01: Thanks.

StarLord93: Hell yeah.

Disclaimer: I do not own Spawn or Spider-Man. I only own the OC Nathan Nolan/Spawn.

Peter had been out patrolling, hoping to find any sign of Spawn in action so he can take the guy down, when he heard about a disturbance at some officers. Upon arrival, he was shocked to find Spawn standing amongst dead bodies and his girlfriend nearby.

"...let's get you out of here." He heard Spawn say and fired a shot of webbing at the lethal vigilante's hand, sticking it to a computer desk.

"You're not going anywhere, pal." Spider-Man said as he dropped down and got his first good look at Spawn. He did truly strike an intimidating sight, with how he almost blended in well with the darkness around him, the glowing green eyes that were not human, the cape writhing and moving as if it was alive.

Spawn looked at the webbing over his right arm and ripped it free. "You took your time, Spider." He remarked, his voice cold and dark. "Back off. We're on the same side."

The corner of Peter's eye registered that MJ was simultaneously gaping and glaring at him, but right now he was focused on Manhattan's Most Wanted. "Are we? I mean, It feels like you're trying to copy my suit. You got the red cape just as my entire suit is red, the white emblem and whatever that is around your creepy eyes. My lenses are white. And then there's the black part, and I have a black web pattern over the suit." The wallcrawler quipped. "You must be a fan."

"Do you ever shut the fuck up?" Spawn growled.

Spider-Man gaped at him with wide eyes, making the lenses go wide. "Wow! Such vulgar language!"

"Look, Spider, back off." Spawn snarled in a low, threatening tone. "Before you do something you'll end up regretting."

"Hmm, let me think about that... no." Peter shot a webline out at Spawn, who dodged it while grabbing it. With a yank, the web-swinger was pulled straight towards Spawn who lashed out with a clenched fist. His spider-sense blaring like an alarm bell, he dodged the incoming fist while shooting a web into Spawn's face. However, the lethal vigilante ripped it off him and caught Spider-Man's fist when he went for a punch making the wallcrawler's eyes widen. "Oh...

Spawn punched the arachnid-themed hero in the chest, sending him flying back and hitting an office desk. Kipping up back to his feet, Spider-Man raised his webshooters and loosed off a burst of webs as Spawn dove away behind the desk and Mary Jane screamed something. Jumping up onto the desk he looked down only for his spider sense to flare just before Spawn slammed his boot into the side of his face, sending him flying into a wall as he fell to the ground in a heap.

Before he could recover, his spider sense throbbed just as he felt something wrap around his leg before he was whipped around and thrown into the opposite wall.

"Ow" he groaned as he rested his head back against the wall. A second later, when he recovered, he saw Spawn was gone. He shook his head as MJ helped him to his feet. "Are…are you alright MJ?" he asked.

"I was fine" she huffed, "Until you showed up and caused Spawn to flee. I've been working on this story for weeks and was just now making headway!" She shouted suddenly. "Maybe if I'm lucky he won't connect us together."

"MJ, what is going on here?" Peter demanded, confusion evident in his voice. "Why were you with him?"

The journalist rounded on him. "I can't tell you that." She responded. "Just trust me."

"With a killer!" he shouted back in shock. "How many people has he killed, MJ?! He can't be trusted!"

As soon as he said that, he knew he had fucked up, the glare that the redhead was giving him was not a pleasant one. "I'm not asking you to trust him, I'm asking you to trust me." Before Peter could respond, the sound of Police Sirens could be heard in the distance. "I need to go." She said as she turned and stomped off.

"Well done Parker." He chastised before making good on his own escape.

Two days since his fight with Spider-Man, Nathan laid low a little. He made sure to tell MJ to decipher the information she collected before sending it his way. Anything that could give them a shot at ending Project Cinderblock and the Kingpin before he leaves for Europe would be a great boon for both of them.

At the moment, the Hellspawn was in his loft, checking over his armoury, cleaning his guns and counting up the bullets that he had. He still had enough to spare but he would need to stock up soon, for bullets eventually run out. Sure, Nathan could use his Hellspawn powers, but he was used to his skills as a soldier, comfortable with a gun in hand and gunning the enemy down.

The sound of his phone ringing caught his attention, earning a frown, before he got to his feet and walked over. Picking his phone up, he saw it marked 'Unknown caller' before he answered it. "Hello?"

"Usually I'm the one playing hard to get, Nathan." The playfully, teasing voice of Felicia Hardy chided on the other end, her voice as seductive as ever. "Don't you know it's not nice to leave a girl waiting for a second date?"

Nathan rose a brow. "Depends on what you'd call a second date."

There was another purr on the other end. "I was wondering if you would care to join me for lunch downtown? Maybe we could arrange for a third date? Perhaps with some of the old playmates?"

Nathan was silent for a few seconds, his finger tapping against the table repeatedly before he stopped. "Sure. I'd be an idiot to pass up a second date with a woman like you."

"Very true." Felicia chuckled in a sultry voice before she gave him the time and place.

About an hour and a half later, Nathan's Dodge Challenger SRT Demon pulled up outside of a high rise, the restaurant was situated at the top. Since this was a lunch date, and Nathan was interested in trying to pursue an actual relationship with a beautiful woman, he wanted to look impressive. As such, he was dressed in a casual business attire, slacks, sport coat, and fabric trench coat, with a Beretta 92FS Inox perfectly concealed in case of emergencies.

Nathan shifted a little, feeling a little out of place. He could feel the eyes watching him as he crossed the marble floor of the lobby and made his way to the elevator bank. As soon as the doors closed and granted him a small bit of privacy he allowed himself to relax.

"Keep calm, Nolan. You're just going to meet an incredibly gorgeous woman for lunch. An incredibly gorgeous woman you want to be in bed with." Nathan muttered to himself, sighing. "And you have a gun on you in case shit hits the fan."

Eventually, he made it to the top part of the building where the restaurant was located. It was located at the very top, like the rooftop, with a ceiling perfectly keeping the tables and doorway covered in the event of rain. The place looked as nice as it looked expensive, it even had a couple of electric fireplaces.

Nathan's eyes scanned the area, taking in each person sitting at their table and deep in conversation. Soon, his eyes landed on the reason he was here and he couldn't help but feel his breath be taken away.

She was dressed in a black skirt that barely went to her knees, black heels, with the top half of her attire resembling a woman's business attire. She sure knew how to dress smart for a lunch date while also showing her beauty.

Making sure not to let his eyes linger for too long - because she'd see it and tease him - he walked over, the platinum blonde already looking at him with a familiar smirk on her face.

"Nice to see you again, Miss. Hardy." Nathan said as he sat across from her.

Felicia gave him a charming smile. "Please, call me Felicia. Miss. Hardy makes me sound like my mother." She rolled her eyes as she mentioned her mother. She was far from similar to that woman. "Glad to see you come on such short notice."

Nathan shrugged, not really having anything to respond with. He picked up the menu and looked over the choices, his brows raising as he took in the prices. "Yeah, this is one expensive place. Bit fucking overboard, though."

"Not to those with the money to buy it." Felicia said, looking at her own menu.

Nathan looked at her, putting his menu down. "What did you want to discuss? I doubt you just wanted a simple lunch date with me."

Felicia pouted. "What if I actually did?"

Natha just stared at her with a look, making her sigh.

"Business before pleasure, I see." She said. "I've done a little digging, had to go really deep, but I've found something. Kingpin may be leaving, but two of his top lieutenants are staying to run Cinderblock."

Nathan narrowed his eyes at that. "Who?"

"Ah, ah, ah~" Felicia waved her finger playfully at him. "You don't get the info for free. Quid pro quo, I give you what you want to know and you answer a few of my questions. Sound good?"

Nathan stared at her with a neutral expression for several seconds before he sighed and leaned back. "Very well. You sure know how to get what you want from a man."

Felicia winked at him before they ordered their meals and drinks, which came a few minutes later which the two spent by staring at each other or looking out at the city.

"What do you want to ask?" Nathan asked once their meals were brought and they dug in.

Felicia's expression became curious as she pondered which question to ask first. "Why?" She said finally. Nathan stared at her blankly. "Why do you do it? The vigilante stuff. What caused it?"

Nathan stared at her with the same blank expression, but Felicia noticed a dark look had entered those gorgeous dark green eyes. But not only that, there was a look of pain in them but it was gone as quick as it appeared.

Silently, he reached into his pocket and took out a photo which he slid over to her. Felicia picked it up and her eyes softened upon seeing what was in the photo.

A man, a pregnant woman, and two kids; a boy and a girl.

Nathan and his family.

"You had a wife and kids?" Felicia asked softly, looking at the man across from her.

"Keyword 'had'." The Hellspawn said bitterly. "I had a wife, two kids and a third that had been on the way. They're dead, now. All of them. My kids were just seven and eight, my son and my baby girl. And my wife was only eight months pregnant."

Felicia's eyes widened at this. She could hear the pain and anger in his voice, the way he was subtly shifting, like he was trying to control himself from lashing out. Swallowing, she reached over and grasped his hand in hers which made his eyes snap to hers only to see the sympathy in her eyes. "I'm sorry."

Nathan sighed and looked away. "It's been five years now. I got revenge on the bastards responsible for it, I made them suffer for what they did. You think I just put on a costume and started killing people? Trust me, you wouldn't believe how I came to be Spawn."

"try me." Felicia challenged.

Nathan stared at her for a few moments then said. "I made a deal with a demon from Hell."

Felicia stared, then blinked, her mouth opening a little. She closed it and then took her glass of wine, tilting the contents down her throat. "Okay, I'm going to need a couple more drinks from this."

Nathan chuckled at that before he continued telling her of the day he died with his family, when he ended up in Hell, the deal he made with Malebolgia and how he became a Hellspawn. He told her of his battles with angels, demons, and other supernatural creatures that the world thinks as myth and legend. How he fought to regain his soul and succeeded in the end, killing Malebolgia.

"...Holy shit." Felicia breathed once Nathan finished his tale. "I mean, I know there's stuff out there beyond our understanding. We live in a world where people have superpowers, a guy transforms into a monster when he gets angry, Thor is real, and now demons, Hell, Heaven and angels? Jesus."

Nathan snorted, amused at her reaction. "Yeah."

"So you did all of that and are going to do the vigilante stuff, what about your future?" Felicia wondered.

Nathan shrugged. "Not sure. Never thought that far ahead." He looked at her. "But I'd like to see what it has in store for me."

Felicia couldn't help but smile back at him. Yeah, she was liking this little dynamic between them.

Peter was in his apartment, busying himself with making dinner rather than ordering a pizza like he does most of the time. And when he isn't doing that, he's usually at MJ's, cooking dinner. He was also nursing the wounds from the ass kicking he received at Spawn's hands.

Suddenly. his phone began to ring.

Shooting a webline at it, he yanked the phone into his hand and answered. "Hello?"

"Hello Spider." A familiar female voice purred on the other end, making Peter freeze.

"F-Felicia?" He stuttered.

"Bingo. You sound winded. Did that lovely redhead take much out of you in the bedroom?" Felicia chuckled in a playful, devious manner that Peter recognised as the tone she used when taunting him, playing with him. Like a cat playing with it's prey.

"N-No! That's... that's none of your business!" Peter said, his cheeks flaming red. It was just like old times, with the Black Cat rendering him speechless. "W-What do you want, Felicia? And why are you working with Spawn?"

"Aww, what's the matter, Spider? Jealous my attention is on another man? It's nice to know you still care." She said casually, her flippant attitude not diminished in the slightest. "But don't worry, this kitty can handle herself" she assured before humming in thought. "Though, since you brought him up, I did learn where Spawn might be headed tonight...if you're interested." She offered far too kindly. He didn't need a Spider-Sense to tell him that there was more than what she was letting on. "He's going after a Kingpin Lieutenant who's going to be in Hell's Kitchen tonight. Apparently our old friend, Mr. Fisk, is up to no good, something Spawn intends to rectify."

Peter's phone buzzed again as he pulled it away from his ear to see that Felicia had sent him an address in the south west corner of the island.

"Thanks Felicia, I got the address." He said sincerely before turning serious. "Though why are you sending this to me? What's in it for you?"

And as always, that didn't work. "Hmm...I guess you could say I'm curious...curious to see if you do any better than your last fight with him. Good luck, Spider" She finished with a flirtatious flourish before the line clicked and went dead. Sighing, he tossed the phone aside before steeling himself and getting back to work.

He had a rematch to prepare for.

"Watanabe." answered Yuri on reflex as she pressed her phone to her ear. Still standing in the middle of the floor of her precinct.

"Good afternoon, Captain" purred an unknown female voice.

Yuri felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end, the voice was disarming, too disarming. "Who is this?" She asked as she moved to the corner of the room for some semblance of privacy. "What do you want?"

"Tsk tsk tsk Captain." came the reply. "Those aren't the questions you should be asking. You should be asking what I can give you."

Yuri gave an exasperated sigh. "What is it you can give me?" She asked, gritting her teeth as every semblance of common sense she had was begging her to hang up.

There was a small laugh over the phone before she got her answer. "I know where Spawn will be tonight, Captain. Midtown East, offices of Lawton insurance group." Yuri's jaw nearly hit the floor as she struggled for words. "Seems I have your attention Captain. Spawn will be going after a Lieutenant of the Kingpin who will be holding up there tonight."

Yuri pursed her lips as she processed those words, the target made sense, but it sounded too much like a trap. "And you're happy to just…tell us this? No strings attached?"

"I wouldn't exactly say that, Captain." The woman replied in a coy manner. "I've talked to the man and I doubt he'll go quietly. Good luck, you'll need it."

With that, the mystery woman hanged up.

Yuri let out a breath. With the mayor asking for daily updates and no other leads she didn't see many alternatives. Putting her phone away, Yuri returned to the two detectives and cleared her throat. "I just got a tip about where Spawn will be tonight." She revealed.

She got a pair of shocked looks in return but held up a placating hand. "I know it's out of the blue, and I don't entirely trust it, but it's all we got and we're going to roll with it. Martinez, look into Lawton Insurance group, and get us a warrant for a stakeout on suspicion of it being a front for the Kingpin."

The older Hispanic man nodded as he jammed a toothpick back in between his teeth. "I'm on it ma'am." He assured before spinning in his chair back to his computer.

The Asian woman then turned to the blonde. "Johnson, call SWAT and tell them to get their heavy hitters ready. We're going to want all hands on-deck if this pans out and we have to go toe to toe with that sonofabitch."

"Got it, cap." She replied before Yuri turned on her heel and left the two detectives to their work. As soon as the Captain was gone, Johnson pulled out her phone and sent a text to someone before pocketing her phone, looking around for a few seconds.

And that's it for this chapter.
