Chapter 33
Brooke got out of bed. Restless. Knowing her son was so hurt and heartbroken confused. And she wasn't able to comfort him.
In the way that was natural and consuming. A mother's instinct.
But she knew this separation was needed and would be temporary.
She had laid there staying at the ceiling. She pulled on her robe and made her way out of the bedroom and down the stairs.
She smiled at the sight of Jake and Jenny.
Jake finished plating breaking then wrapped her in his arms.
(We're going to be here as long as you need it.) Jake proclaimed.
(I like the sound of that.) Brooke replied. As she kissed him softly.
Brooke knew she had no drive or desire to work.
So being here with Jake and Jenny. Felt right. And she wouldn't over think it.
(After breakfast. Let's get you unpacked.) Brooke insisted.
Jenny hugged Brooke tightly.

Peyton smiled softly. (I love you Luke. By you're side. Is where I belong.)
