It's me again! I'm not great at this whole consistency thing am I? Well here's your chapter! Enjoy!
As I've said previously, JK Rowling is amazing and I am nothing but a fan. All credit to her.
The first of September dawned damp and misty. The small muggle alarm clock which Arthur had 'accidentally' brought home with him from work, trilled her awake at 6 o'clock.
As she quickly did her cardigan buttons, she speculated vaguely that the alarm clock probably didn't have a little arm that reached out to smack you awake when it was in muggle hands. Provided Arthur didn't get himself arrested she was willing to turn a blind eye to his exploits. Well assuming he never made a car fly or something so ridiculous.
Arthur was still asleep and for a moment she didn't want to wake him. He looked far more peaceful then he ever did awake; well a house full of nine children under 15 didn't exactly make for a tranquil life.
With a small sigh she prodded him awake.
'Arthur love, it's time.'
He looked up at her somewhat reproachfully through a single bleary eye.
'Do I have to?'
'Yes love, you do,' she smiled and kissed his forehead.

The walls of the kitchen seemed to be groaning under the stress of holding 9 children, 2 adults, two cases, and a rather fat rat called scabbers.
Hang on, not nine children, only eight.
Damn
Her first suspects for disappearance would usually have been the twins, however for once, they were both present and correct and didn't seem to be scheming anything.
Who was missing… this was the trouble with having so many kids, you couldn't tell who was missing. Okay, count by age…
Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, Dudley, Har-
Harry, that was who was missing.
They had about half an hour before the muggle taxis she had ordered would rock up outside. That was plenty of time. Wasn't it?
Where would he be? Where would he be?
'Harry's upstairs somewhere, get the children ready would you Arthur?' He nodded and started handing out coats.
She took the stairs at a run, her footsteps echoing around the house. She didn't have time to check each bedroom and didn't even stop for breath on the first or second floors. Finally she reached the third floor. She walked straight past Percy and Ron's room and pushed open the already creaking door of Harry and Dudley's newly built bedroom.
She saw him as soon as she entered. He was curled up very small under a blanket on his bed. He had evidently heard her approach because a pair of huge green eyes were peering cautiously out of the blanket.
'Harry dear, why are you up here?' She sat on the end of his bed, careful not to scare him by getting too close.
'I mustn't get in the way.'
'What do you mean get in the way? You know we're all going to the train station.'
'But… you said all the family… and when it is the family then aunt 'tunia doesn't take me, I go with Missis Figg.'
Molly's heart nearly snapped in two. She thought she had made so much progress. He had been so much more confident and so much more sociable with the others. In reality though he still thought of himself as an outsider.
Dear lord, she was going to kill Petunia.
'Harry, darling, when I say the family I mean you too, you are part of the family.'
She tried to smile encouragingly and not to let her own sorrow show.
'But… you aren't my mum… and… I don't have family… you're their mum… and aunt 'tunia is Dudley's mum…'
She bit her lip. How to make him understand. 'Harry you do have family. Family are the people who love us… and I love you and so does Arthur and all the children. You did have a mum and she loved you very very much but she can't be… very sadly your mum and dad died but it doesn't mean they love you any less.'
'Aunt 'tunia told me about her… she said she was foolish and then they died in a car crash.'
Molly let out a gasp and Harry's face disappeared back under the blanket. Don't let your anger show. Don't scare him.
'Your parents didn't die in a car crash, they were killed by a nasty man, they were wonderful people and they made sure to keep you safe from the man.'
The little face appeared from under the blanket once more. 'Did they love me, like aunt 'tunia loved Dudley?'
A single tear slipped down Molly's face. She hoped he wouldn't notice.
'Yeah they did, they loved you a lot. I love you too, you are a part of the family.'
'Does that mean I can come to the station too?'
She laughed. 'Of course you can.'
He sat up and slid out from under the blanket.
'Why don't you go downstairs and get ready with the others?'
'Okay.' He padded off across the floor, out of the room and down the stairs.
On one hand he was so very damaged, so very alone. Yet on the other he took it all in his stride. He had just found out that his parents had been murdered and yet, his greatest desire was to go to the train station with the others.
She sighed, it was a long road ahead.
The two taxi drivers looked distinctly worse for wear by the time the party arrived at Kings Cross.
Cases had exploded, a neon lizard had escaped and a rat had been squeaking loudly from a cage. The two frazzled me did not stay and offer to help with the cases. As soon as the last child had scrambled from each of the cars they were off. Anything to get away from this mad family.
To Molly's surprise they arrived at the station with time to spare. Providing that no one wandered off they would get through the barrier before quarter two. This really was a first.
The family got some funny looks as Molly and Arthur frog marched the children through the hall. Nine children was strange enough, the whole family looked completely barmy after you had added the rat, the broomsticks and the bulky cases. Molly didn't want to think how much worse it would be when more of the children were at hogwarts.
First Bill took Percy and George through the barrier. Then Charlie chivied Fred and Ron. Arthur carried Ginny and then it was just Molly, Harry and Dudley left.
She hadn't considered until that moment just how weird they would find it walking through a seemingly solid wall. Getting them used to magic had been a slow and painful process. In fact explaining any part of the situation in general to them had been difficult. Her and Arthur had had many a long conversation about just how much the boys should be told. In the end they had decided that a simple version of the truth was best.
The boys knew that some people were born with magic and that the Weasley's were some of those people. It had been explained that Lily and James had been magic and that as she had been a friend of theirs her and Arthur would raise the boys. Like young children often do, the boys had taken it in their stride. The difficult part had come when Dudley had asked whether he and Harry were magical. She had had to break it to him that while Harry almost certainly was it was unlikely that Dudley was. He had taken it very badly. Already feeling left out of the Weasley children he had had to face the knowledge that in all likelihood he would never get to attend the much discussed hogwarts.
'Now we're going to go through a magic wall to see the train okay.' She said as brightly as possible to the two small boys who clutched her hand.
They nodded nervously and the three stepped forward.
They were through.
Thank you so much for reading. I am trying to be a lot more frequent with updates as I have loads of ideas for this story. I am debating what sort of time frame I should go for after the next few chapters. I'll either:
Continue with chapters set within a month of each other
Have each chapter set a year after the last
Have chapters set roughly four mouths after each other, so there'd be say a christmas, easter and summer chapter for each year
Let me know what you think I should go for.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter :)
