When Kawaguchi-sensei turned her back to the students to write something on the board that would probably be on the test, Akari pulled out her phone and shot Momo a text.
Good thing we exchanged numbers, Akari thought to herself as she twindled her thumbs. Then, she kept her phone on her lap and looked in Momo's direction to see if she had gotten the text.
Momo, unfortunately, was nodding off.
Akari scowled. Of course she's asleep.
When she looked down at her phone, she saw that the text message bar was making sentences on its own without Akari having to type anything.
I can get her attention! The message read.
Akari's eyebrows furrowed and she nearly dropped her phone.
The message deleted itself and a new one was typed out. It's Lilu! Did you forget that I'm your phone!?
She let out a breath of relief and glanced over at Momo.
"How about...Momo!" Kawaguchi-sensei said.
Kazuha reached over and smacked Momo, who sat in front of her, on the back of her head. Momo fell forward and quickly turned around. "Kazuha! What the fuck!?"
"Now that you're awake, answer the question on the board," Kawaguch-sensei said.
Momo froze and slowly stood up. "The answer? Yeah...um..."
Akari could only shake her head.
Once it was very evident that Momo had no idea what was going on, Kawaguchi-sensei scolded her before allowing her to sit down. Sighing, Momo sat back in her seat and her phone in her pocket began to vigorously vibrate. Momo looked around before she pulled it out and saw that Akari had sent her a text.
AI Girl: have you added Kumiko's phone to your possessions by hefty theft yet?
Momo blinked. Damn. She's clearly not a native Japanese texter. She looked across the classroom and found Akari staring dead at her, prompting her to flinch.
Akari tilted her head a bit, demanding for an answer. Momo simply held up her index finger. Akari squinted her eyes and mouthed, "seriously?" Then, Akari looked down at the phone in her lap and saw that Momo had sent her a text back.
WusErName: bruh
WusErName: you realize that i'm doing all the work right?
WusErName: gimme a sec i literally just got kumiko to think i'm legit
Momo loudly sucked on her lip as she glanced down at her phone to see what Akari had texted back.
AI Girl: and your plan is?
Momo glared at Akari from across the classroom. Akari met the glare and shot a look reading that she wasn't bothered at all. A few seconds later, Akari received a text from Momo.
WusErName: my business
Okay. So everything is up to me now, Akari thought, brow twitching in annoyance. Good to know. I'll get straight to work.
iv: dazzen! the birth of Cure Moon and Cure Sun!
It wasn't hard for Akari to figure out who Kumiko was. She didn't even have to listen for Kumiko's thoughts. The students using the breaks to go to Kumiko's class and catch a glimpse of her was enough of a tell tale.
Akari casually strolled into Class 1-A and noticed the quick change in atmosphere.
"She is Kamiyama Kumiko-sama's enemy."
Akari rolled her eyes as she made her way towards Kumiko. Don't they ever get tired of thinking the same shit?
Kumiko was seated at her desk and was staring at her reflection through the little hand held mirror she carried with her when one of her zombies got her attention.
"It's that Irisawa Akari bitch," the zombie said.
Kumiko shoved her little mirror into her pocket and faced Akari. She crossed her legs and gracefully placed her hands over her knees. "So you finally show yourself. Tired of hiding?"
"Oh, I wasn't hiding. I was just waiting for you to grow some balls and face me," Akari responded casually. "I only decided to come all the way here cuz I'm a little bit impatient. It's a fatal flaw of mine."
Kumiko smirked. "Intimidate me all you want. It won't hurt me. And if you do, my classmates will defend me. We don't take out outsiders very well."
"Noted," Akari said, noticing the students slowly gathering around them. "They're all saying that I've wronged you in some sort of way."
"That's between you and them. Maybe you should beg them for forgiveness. Then they'll tell you how you've wronged me." Kumiko started to chip at her nails.
"Nah, I won't be doing that. I think I've already figured out how I've wronged them. At least...how I'll wrong them one point five seconds from now," Akari said, moving closer.
Kumiko stayed where she was seated, refusing to be intimidated. However, upon noticing that Akari was still inching closer to her, she stopped chipping at her nails and leaned back a bit. "What are you doing?"
Akari grabbed Kumiko by the bow of her uniform with her left hand and placed her right foot on Kumiko's chair. "Don't mind me," she told Kumiko with a fake smile. Then, she shoved her hands into the pockets of Kumiko's uniform blazer jacket.
The students around them gasped.
"Let go of her right now!"
"What is wrong with that bitch!?"
"Kumiko-sama!"
Not in the jacket. Let's try the skirt, Akari thought, holding the hand-held mirror that Kumiko had earlier.
Kumiko snatched the mirror out of Akari's hands and pushed her off of her. "Y-Y-Y-You fucking American brat! Momoko was right! You are crazy!"
Akari stood up. "Empty out your pockets real quick."
"No!" Kumiko yelled, hugging her mirror close to her chest.
"I tried asking," Akari said with a shrug.
She pushed Kumiko against a nearby desk and searched through her skirt's pockets. Still nothing! Where's her phone!? She got off of Kumiko and grabbed Kumiko's school bag that was hanging off of a hook on the side of Kumiko's desk. It better be in here!
"Stop it!" Kumiko yelled as Akari dumped out the contents in the bag. Hair brushes, mascara, lip gloss, textbooks, and a tiny bag which had a mixture of writing utensils and makeup products fell out. Still no sign of a phone.
Groaning in frustration, Akari threw the bag to the side and glared at Kumiko. What type of Gen Z-er doesn't keep their phone on them? From the corner of her eyes, Momo ran into the room with Harumi and Kazuha.
Akari gave Momo a look. She doesn't have her phone on her.
Momo nodded, cleared her throat, then ran over to Kumiko. "Oh, Kumiko-sama!" She pushed Akari out of the way and engulfed Kumiko into a bear hug. "How dare that bitch do that to you!?"
"Takeru! The shrine still looks shitty!" Daiki yelled at Takeru during lunch break.
Takeru was rolling up some bills to add to the exterior of the shrine he made for Kumiko. The shrine was sitting in the back of the classroom and received a couple more additions.
"I put money to illustrate her value!" Takeru yelled.
"Kumiko is worth more than a couple hundred yen!" Daiki yelled back.
Meanwhile, Momo, Kazuha, and Harumi were lodged into a serious conversation.
"Irisawa Akari violated Kumiko-sama so we need to put her in her place!" Kazuha cried. "I'm gonna tell the group chat that we need to jump her ass."
Momo blinked. "Group chat?"
"The whole first year class is in a group chat called the Kamiyama Kumiko-sama Lovers Association," Kazuha answered.
Momo squinted her eyes. "Interesting."
"You weren't added to the chat yesterday cuz we all thought that you were the enemy but now that we know the truth, I'll add you to it right now," Kazuha said, doing some tapping on her phone.
"Oh no! I need to record my hourly Tik Tok in Kumiko-sama's honor!" Harumi cried. She stood up and placed her phone against the nearby window to start recording.
Momo wanted to cry for her friends but she knew that in order to save them, she had to allow all of this to go on a little while longer. "Akari approached Kumiko-sama and searched through her things. My guess is that she'll use this opportunity to search through Kumiko-sama's locker next."
Kazuha put her hands together, lodging her phone in the middle. "Of course! That's so true!"
"I'll run over to her locker and make sure everything is in place!" Momo cried, standing up.
After getting Kazuha's approval, Momo left and made her way to the lockers.
"If I remember correctly...I've seen Kumiko at-aha! This locker!" She stopped by the locker and opened it. "This school should really invest in locks."
She searched through the locker but found that there was no phone. "Maybe...she left it in the bathroom."
Momo ran up and down the stairs to check each and every girls' bathroom in the school. She also checked the girls' locker room.
"Damn. Did she lose her phone? Is that it?" She wondered out loud as she walked past the track field. A class of upperclassmen were running around the track in their P.E. clothing. Coach Kugayama blew his whistle every few seconds, signalling for them to pick up their paces.
She stopped walking. "There is one place I haven't checked."
Momo found herself at the trash cans. "If it's nowhere around the school, then it has to be in the trash." She stared at the trash and watched as the smelly aura grew more and more prominent.
"Ew-sisi! What's that smell-sisi!?" Casi yelled from Momo's pocket.
"Nope." Momo turned around and ran off.
"Should I check the classrooms next...?" She wondered to herself, walking up a flight of stairs in the building. She slowly stopped her ascent when she found Daiki sitting on the top, tapping on a phone. "What are you doing?"
"Looking through my sister's phone to make sure that all of the messages she's getting are love messages. I also need to make sure that Takeru is also sending her love messages," Daiki answered without looking up.
"So that phone in your hands is Kumiko-sama's?" Momo asked.
Daiki smiled. "Yep! But don't tell her that I it!"
Momo studied the phone's exterior. The first thing she noticed was the fact that the phone case was cheetah print. It looked nothing like the metallic case of hers and Akari's. She reached out for the phone. "Can I see it very quickly?"
"Sure," Daiki answered, handing her the phone. Then, he stood up. "I need to beat Takeru's ass anyway since he hasn't been sending Kumiko love messages at all! That fucking liar! He's no good for my sister!"
Momo waited for Daiki to leave. Then, she pulled out her phone. "Casi. Can you tell that there's a fairy in this?"
On Momo's phone screen, Casi turned into a little plush fairy cartoon. "Sending a signal now-sisi."
Momo waited until Casi frowned and shook her head. "No fairy-sisi. I'll send a text to Lilu and Akari letting them know the results-sisi."
"Damn, really?" Momo groaned. "So where could that damn fairy be!?"
"Also, we have another problem-sisi," Casi said.
A notification popped up on Momo's phone from the Kamiyama Kumiko-sama Lovers Association group chat: After school, lets drag Irisawa Akari to the gym and teach her a lesson! Our lady Kumiko-sama has approved of this plan!
Momo screenshotted the text. "This is crazy...let me send this shit to Akari."
As planned, after school, two buff students from the wrestling club grabbed Akari and dragged her to the gym. The whole first year class was in the bleachers and standing around. Kumiko sat at the top of one of the bleachers with people fanning her. She smirked when Akari was thrown to the center of the gym.
"My fellow first years!" Kumiko cried, gracefully standing up. "We are gathered here to teach this wayward being a lesson!"
As the students cheered, Kumiko walked down the bleacher steps and the students who were in her path quickly moved out of the way for her. Still smirking proudly, Kumiko made her way toward Akari.
Akari was sitting with her arms crossed and an annoyed scowl on her face. Oh, I'm so scared. Ooga booga, she thought dryly.
Kumiko bent towards her and raised a hand. Around her, the students began to stir.
"No, my lady! Don't dirty your hands!"
"We'll put her in her place for you!"
"Just sit back and relax, Kumiko-sama!"
Kumiko put her hand down and her smirk grew. "Look. I have people who are willing to fight for me. They would even commit murder if I told them to! But look at you. You have nobody. It's because you're worthless."
Akari recalled Momo's attempt to free everyone from Kumiko's mind control yesterday. Girl, don't lie. They're not willing, both now and even in the past, she thought with a sigh. I've entertained this fuckery for far too long. Akari stood up and grabbed Kumiko's wrist, digging her nails into the skin.
"Ow! What are you doing, you bitch!?" Kumiko demanded.
"You're calling me a bitch? Actually, yes! Call me a bitch cuz I am a bitch! But you're even worse than me! Just so you can be some sort of queen bee or whatever, you terrorize people! They never respected you! They just feared you or did not want any trouble from you! And now that I've waltzed in and taken away the admiration that you so desperately craved for, you decided to resort to some cheap mind control trick to force everyone to keep on loving you and become your minions!" Akari yelled.
"Let go!" Kumiko shrieked, raising her free hand which was balled into a fist.
Akari saw the left hook coming from a mile away so she blocked the punch with her hand before grabbing the wrist. Now, both of Kumiko's wrists were held captive in Akari's tight grip. Kumiko tried to slip her wrists free but that only made Akari's grip grow even tighter.
Kumiko shivered as Akari whispered into her ear, "And let's face it. You resorted to mind control because in reality, you know as well as I do that these people don't actually love you and will never love you. That so-called 'love' and 'admiration' that so quickly switched from you to me says it all."
"No! No!" Kumiko vigorously shook her head. "You're just lying so you can get under my skin!"
Akari rested her forehead on Kumiko's and smirked. "You resorted to all of this bullshit...because you've been replaced."
Kumiko's legs turned to jelly, pompring Akari to throw her onto the floor like a rag doll. When Kumiko hit the floor, her hand-held heart-shaped mirror slipped out of her pockets. Kumiko slivered on the ground like a snake and reached to grab the mirror.
"Nope," Akari said, casually stepping on the reflection part of the mirror.
Kumiko watched as long cracks formed on the glass of the mirror. "Stop!" She shrieked. Panic was flashing in her eyes.
Could I be possibly going too far? Akari asked, removing her foot.
Kumiko reached for the mirror and cradled it in her arms. But it's literally just a mirror, Akari thought as she watched Kumiko.
"They're all replacing me with Irisawa Akari!"
"What does she have that I don't!?"
"Why are they suddenly so drawn to her!"
"Everyone! Please don't abandon me!"
"Love me, dammit!"
"I cannot be replaced! I refuse to be replaced!"
Akari backed up. Those are Kumiko's thoughts! She looked at the mirror from where she stood and noticed it glowing a royal purple color. But I don't hear these thoughts in my head. They're coming from that mirror!
"They're replacing me...because they all hate me..."
Suddenly, the mirror shattered completely and a royal purple aura surrounded Kumiko. With glittering royal purple tears dripping down from her closed eyes like ruined mascara, Kumiko stumbled onto her feet.
"Taro...please make my wish come true...!"
Akari shielded herself as Kumiko transformed in a poof. An overgrown monster with devil horns stood in her place. A queen crown was on the monster's head and bee wings were on its back. "Bugaboo!" It yelled.
"What the fuck!?" Akari yelled as the students quickly filed out of the gym.
Momo ran over to Akari. "What did you do!?"
"How the fuck am I supposed to know!? All I did was say straight up facts!" Akari yelled.
"Lulu!" Lilu transformed into a fairy and landed in Akari's arms. "She transformed into a Bugaboo-lulu! They are the materialization of your inner demons and sorrow-lulu!"
"Ha!? Bugaboo!?" Momo asked as Casi transformed into a fairy and landed on top of her head.
Upon getting a good look at the Bugaboo roaring in the gym, Casi screamed. "I'm going back-sisi!"
"No-lulu! Don't run away-lulu! It's our job as fairies and Zodiac Beasts to handle this-lulu!" Lilu cried.
Casi sulked and stayed on Momo's head. "I understand-sisi..."
"Great-lulu! Which is why we'll have these two girls transform into Precure-lulu!" Lilu said proudly.
Momo and Akari blinked as the Bugaboo flew up, breaking through the roof.
"What!? Us!?" Momo yelled.
"What happened to this being your job to handle this!?" Akari demanded.
"Casi and I will grant you two the power of Precure-lulu! Defeat that Bugaboo and you'll free Kamiyama-san-lulu!" Lilu said, ignoring the girls' protests.
"But what if I don't want to save Kumiko!?" Momo asked. "She's a bitch!"
Casi transformed into a phone and the golden charm that Momo had found on top of her phone the day she met Casi appeared in her hands. Momo looked at Akari and saw that Lilu had also transformed into a phone and Akari had a golden charm in her hands as well. The difference was that Momo's bow was midnight blue while Akari's bow was rose pink.
"Say 'Precure! Aurora Wave!' and your body will do the rest-sisi!" Casi instructed.
Momo scrunched up her nose. "What!? But I don't want t-Precure! Aurora Wave!"
With their phones in compact form, they inserted the teeth of their charms into the spot that usually their phone chargers would go into. Then, snow blue light from Momo's phone and rose pink light from Akari's phone popped out and circled them.
Momo's originally wavy ginger-brown hair turned into snow blue wavy hair with a midnight blue military commander's hat that had black and golden accents. She wore a cropped black blazer top with a midnight blue tie peeking out from the cropped white dress shirt underneath the blazer. She wore a short midnight blue skirt with a white petticoat underneath. Her compact-mode phone was in a white pouch hanging from the waistband of her skirt to the left along with her golden charm. She had on black faux fur moon boots. Her eyes were now midnight blue. "The emissary representing Cancer the Crab! Cure Moon!"
Akari's originally straight jet black hair turned into wavy blonde hair with a rose pink cowgirl hat with a darker rose pink band. She wore a cropped white dress shirt and the collar was left unbuttoned. Over her dress shirt was a rose pink cropped vest. She had darker rose pink bands on her wrist and the bands had white frills on either side. She wore a rose pink short skirt with white frills underneath. Her compact-mode phone was in a white pouch hanging from the waistband of her skirt to the left along with her golden charm. She had on white thigh high heeled combat boots. Her eyes were now rose pink. "The emissary representing Leo the Lion! Cure Sun!"
The girls posed. "Together, we are Precure!"
Then, they blinked and looked at each other.
Cure Moon threw her head back and laughed, completely moved to tears! "I'm dead! Look at you! You look so goofy!"
Cure Sun kicked Moon on her ankle, prompting Moon to fall to her knees and clutch her ankle.
"What was that for...!?" Moon asked weakly.
"Look at yourself," Sun simply said.
Moon looked down at herself, then frowned. "What happened to me!?"
"You two are now Precure-lulu!" Lilu said from the pouch hanging from Sun's belt.
"Precure!? I thought that they had grown up or whatever?" Moon asked.
"They have, but we have an emergency on our hands so you two will be temporary Precure and capture that Bugaboo-lulu," Lilu answered.
"Isn't our task to find the other 10 fairies though?" Sun asked.
"Right!" Moon stood up. "So why do we have to capture some deformed bee thing?"
"Because Kamiyama-san was transformed into a Bugaboo by a deal she made with a fairy-sisi! So if you two can defeat that Bugaboo and free Kamiyama-san, we'll get a fairy-sisi!" Casi yelled from the pouch hanging from Moon's belt.
Moon and Sun shared a look.
"You know how to fight, right?" Moon asked.
"Humans? Hundred percent. Monsters? Nope," Sun answered. "You?"
"I wouldn't be asking you if I could," Moon admitted.
"You two-lulu! Go after that Bugaboo-lulu! Jump up and hop to it-lulu!" Lilu commanded.
"Hop?" Not thinking too much about it, Moon hopped, took a step, and jumped. Immediately, she was thrown up through the hole the Bugaboo had made and was up in the sky. "Ahhhh! I'm flying!"
Sun ran over so she was standing above the hole and looked at Moon who was still up in the air. "Damn..."
"As Precure, you two are granted superhuman powers like super strength and the ability to jump high-lulu! You two also have high pain tolerances so don't let that Bugaboo intimidate you-lulu!" Lilu said as Moon fell and landed on the roof of the gym.
"This is so cool!" Moon yelled.
"Well, that makes me feel a little bit better." Sun jumped up and joined Moon on the roof. "Do we get weapons to fight that Bugaboo?"
In the distance, the Bugaboo was floating in front of the sun and its wings created a colorful hue over the school. Students caught under the hue were transforming left to right into miniature versions of the Bugaboo.
"Bugaboo...plural..." Moon said.
"Yes-lulu! You two get weapons-lulu! Just summon them-lulu!" Lilu responded.
"How!?" Sun cried.
"Bugaboo!" The main Bugaboo roared, signalling for its mini Bugaboo minions to charge at Sun and Moon.
"Lilu...! Telling us how to summon a weapon would be nice right about now!" Sun yelled as she and Moon stood in position.
The girls punched and kicked the minions out of the way from where they stood. The minions would be thrown off somewhere from the impact but would bounce back and charge at the girls with their stingers as their noses.
"A gun would be so nice right now! That way, we could just shoot them out of the way!" Moon cried, kicking a minion Bugaboo out of the way.
Suddenly, something clicked in Sun. She held both of her hands out. "Precure! Solar Flare!" A pair of dark rose pink pistols materialized in her hands.
Moon and Sun stopped what they were doing and stared at the guns in Sun's hands.
"How did...?" Moon trailed off and furrowed her eyebrows.
"I dunno but I'm not complaining!" Sun said, aiming at the minion Bugaboos.
Rose pink bullets shot out of the guns in rapid fire. Every time the bullet hit a minion Bugaboo, it would explode and the student who was that minion would float back to the ground in a royal purple bubble. And so, like she were in a shooting game, she shot the minion Bugaboos down.
"Casi! How do you get a gun!? I want one too!" Moon yelled as she continued to punch and kick the minion Bugaboos she was stuck dealing with. "No, I need one!"
"Your body knows, just like your body knows the whole Precure transformation sequence-sisi!" Casi answered.
"What are you ta-Precure! Waxing Crescent!" A katana with a midnight blue hilt materialized in her hands. She smiled. "Sweet!"
With the blade reflecting a snow blue hue every time the light it it, Moon swung the katana, slicing multiple minion Bugaboos into bits and pieces. They exploded and turned back into humans who also floated back to the ground in royal purple bubbles.
"They keep on coming! How are we supposed to get close to the queen bee!?" Sun asked Lilu after a while, shooting a group of minion Bugaboos.
"You see its third eye-lulu?" Lilu asked.
Sun took a short break from her shooting and looked at the main Bugaboo. It had three eyes but its eye on its forehead had its purple the shape of a diamond. "Yeah? What about it?"
"Fighting these things are very straightforward-lulu. They only get complicated when they use their surroundings and powers to their advantage, like right now-lulu. Just find a way to hit it in the eye, that's how you weaken it-lulu. Once it's weakened, you have to purify it or it'll bounce back-lulu," Lilu explained.
"Aim for the eye?" Moon asked. "Got it!"
She jumped up and landed on a minion Bugaboo's head and sliced the other once out of the way. "Cover me!" Moon yelled as she jumped onto the head of another minion Bugaboo.
"Right!" Sun shot the minion Bugaboos around her and the ones in Moon's way as Moon drew closer to the main Bugaboo.
Once Moon was close enough to the main Bugaboo, she gripped the handle of her katana tightly, jumped up, and drilled the sword into its third eye. A loud crack was heard and the minion Bugaboos vanished away into dust. The students who were the minions floated back to safety in the bubbles and Moon let go of her sword, yelling as she fell to the ground.
Sun looked at the Bugaboo which now had Moon's sword lodged into its third eye. "How do we purify it now that it's weak?
"Say 'Aurora Tact' and your body will do the rest-lulu," Lilu instructed.
Sun cringed but did as he said. "Aurora Tact!"
The Aurora Tact, which materialized into Sun's hands, was a short, white scepter-like object with golden accents. The top end of the tact had a rose pink bow with white angel wings and her golden charm went in the middle of the bow. The second it did, a crystal diamond appeared at the very top of the tact.
"Woah, this thing is weird," Sun said to herself as her body forced her to draw the constellation of Leo in the air while holding the tact.
Once the constellation was drawn up in rose pink writing in mid air, she closed her eyes and held the tact up to her face. "Precure!" She opened her eyes and the diamond began to glow an aurora color along with her eyes. "Stardust Shower!"
With the diamond still glowing, she pointed the tact at the constellation she had just drawn and the areas where the stars were in the constellation charged at the Bugaboo in multiple beams of light. The beams hit the Bugaboo, causing it to crack into more pieces and explode. Sun closed her eyes and shielded herself from the impact of the explosion.
"It's okay, Kumiko-sama."
"Yeah. We forgive you for all of the things you've done to us in the past because we love you."
"Yes, we love you with all of our hearts. That why we made you our queen."
"Our irreplaceable queen."
"You can never be replaced."
Kumiko slowly opened her eyes upon hearing the voices and found herself in a strange place. She sat in a tiny little patch of green grass with flowers and a spotlight beaming down on her. However, the patch of grass wasn't big and if she stretched her legs out, they would go past the patch. Around her, the floor and walls were black and there was no light for miles. Students in their Verone High School uniforms were standing around her in the black, dark area, telling her the words that she wanted to hear.
She smiled and looked down. "That's right."
"Looks like I'm in your head now. I don't really know how I feel about this, though," a familiar voice said in the darkness.
Kumiko looked up and saw Cure Sun walking through the large population of students standing around her and scowled. "Why do you sound like someone I hate? Anyway, get out. You're not welcomed here."
"Why? Because I'm not telling you lies?" Sun asked, stopping in front of Kumiko. "I think I've finally figured this whole thing out."
Sun swung a fist at one of the students and they shattered like glass into tiny tiny pieces. Kumiko shrieked. "First Irisawa Akari, now you! Why are you terrorizing me!?"
"I'm not terrorizing you. I'm trying to help you." Sun sat down in front of Kumiko on the little patch of grass. "The fairy that granted you the power to control everyone's mind was never in your phone. It was in that little mirror that you were so protective over. And actually, you weren't controlling anyone at all."
Sun pointed at one of the students standing behind Kumiko. "You reflected the things you wanted to hear and the image you wanted to portray onto everyone."
"You will always be number one in my eyes, Kumiko," the student that Sun was pointing at said.
Sun snapped her fingers and the student shattered into pieces. "That's why in here, these students break so easily like glass. It's all just a big reflection, or illusion I guess."
Kumiko glared. "What are you trying to get at?"
"I heard that you bullied Yamada for having the same hairstyle as you." Among the students, Yamada shattered.
"You also ripped up Okami's love letters because they weren't addressed to you." Okami shattered next.
"Shit, you've even stolen boyfriends and terrorized girlfriends." Multiple students shattered.
"You've done all of this and more because in those moments, you weren't the one that was getting love and attention. That also explains why when Irisawa Akari came, you flipped out. She was getting everyone's love and attention, not you anymore." Sun jumped when she saw herself, Irisawa Akari, shatter behind Kumiko.
Kumiko chuckled. "You delusional little-"
"Because you don't want to be replaced," Sun quickly said, raising the tone of her voice in case Kumiko decided she wanted to yell.
Kumiko blinked. "Re-replaced..."
"Isn't that the truth?" Sun asked. "You want everyone to love you and you think you can get that love by eliminating all of the ways for people to love someone or something else that isn't you, therefore replacing you."
Kumiko grew silent and hid her eyes in her bangs. Her hands clenched into fists and Sun reached out to grab them.
"I was...I mean, Akari was onto something earlier when she said all of those things in the gym earlier. You never earned anyone's love and deep down, you knew that. That's why you fear being replaced. Because it's so easy for them since they don't have that genuine love for you and only have fear and dislike for you," Sun said softly.
Tears began to stream down Kumiko's face as the remaining students shattered around her. "What...what do I do to make everyone love me?"
"I don't have the answers, but you do. So figure it out yourself. But everybody loving you is what you truly want, right?" Sun helped Kumiko up to her feet as she stood up. "Right now, though, it's time for you to wake up."
Random Fact: Cure Moon and Cure Sun's weapons, dynamic, and outfits are based off of the characters Panty and Stocking in the anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. And specifically, Moon's outfit and weapon are based on a military commander while Sun's outfit and weapon are based on a cow girl. Their outfits have gone through countless revisions throughout each version.
Wassup!? It's ya gurl sugarsugarrush! Did you know I typed up the last chapter in 1 day? Took a while to go back and edit it though (I'm doing edits now so I don't have to go back and do them later because I *strongly dislike* editing).
Anyways, don't forget to review or leave me some PMs! Hope y'all like this!
