Burnice looked at the car window feeling a bit giddy. The Minivan they were in was extensively modified by its owner, Piper.

"I can't believe it took us all this long to finally hang out." Lucy said maybe a bit too irrelevantly.

"Oh don't say that Lucy, we've just been caught up with our studies, you especially." Caesar leaned over to Lighter and whispered "You've got no idea what I had to do to drag Lucy out of her room."

"No whispering!" Lucy stated.

Caesar only smiled.

The Minivan had hotrod flames down the side but otherwise it was a "middle of the road" grey. Piper was in the driver's seat and had Burnice to the right of her. The middle back seat was inhabited by Caesar with Lighter to her left and Lucy to her right.

"What's the plan?" Lighter said in his usual "cool guy" tone.

Burnice piped up, "I know a new, totally cool bar that just opened up, we could go there, totally rock the place, party 'till 2 am and play awesome games"

"Like bar pool, or shuffle board." Piper murmured.

"That would certainly be a great bonding experience, I'm down for it, especially because I'm the king of darts." Caesar said.

"I would prefer to go to an arcade, I think the games there are more; us. Air hockey, ski ball, basketball, those gun games…" Lighter said.

"You can't get drinks at an arcade like you can at a bar, they only serve soda. At a bar you can get pretty much anything" Burnice answered.

"There's places that have classic arcade games and serve alcohol" Lucy noted.

"Those are called 'barcades'" Ceraser said.

Piper spoke up "That doesn't sound like a half bad idea, getting hard drinks while playing the night away with friends, props to you Lucy"

"That reminds me, aren't all of us under the legal drinking age, well exce-" Caesar interrupted Lucy with a tiny pinch. Lucy shut up quickly.

Lighter started, "We live on the outskirts of the law Lucy, even our Piper is too young to drive."

"Wait really?" Burnice asked simi-ironically.

"Har har, I'm 18 just like you guys, I'm simultaneously too young and too old for my actual age." Piper replied in a regrettable tone.

"That's quite the burden." Lighter pushed his sunglasses up his nose.

"We won't be able to buy drinks if we're all underaged" Lucy said getting back on point.

"I'm sure I can figure something out, I usually do in situations like this" Burnice offered. They thought she was going to rely on her "Blazing Luck" as she called it when she got excited.

"Unfortaintly getting wild luck isn't a real plan in my book; if it was you'd be rich." Piper said.

"Looks like we might have found a deadend…" Lighter murmured.

Caesar started talking, "I think if there's any group of people who can get into a bar underaged it's us. I mean just think of all the things that we did in high school that could have gotten us all kicked out. We're risk takers, we're capable, we kick some serious butt. What we need is to find someone who knows someone who maybe can create fake . That would be someone who's often on the wrong side of the la-why are you all looking at me?"

"Isn't your dad a small-time criminal who helps out the neighborhood cool kids with stuff like this?" Lucy pointed out.

"Yeah I remember, your old man straight up gave me liquor just because I asked for it, it's like he knew I just wanted to start making fancy drinks and pass 'em out to our local downers to cheer 'em up." Burnice stated.

"When I asked him he didn't even respond, he just looked at me like he knew I was frivolous; which in all fairness I was." Piper said.

"The old man seems to have a sixth sense about things." Lighter noted.

"Stop commenting on my dad. He sorta wanted me to be strong and independent so he's not really in the business of helping me with things that are outside the law. He's a 'do it yourself' type, I think him not wanting me to grow up as a criminal also has something to do with it." Caesar explained.

"Underage drinking isn't even 'real crime'. It's not like we're committing arson or anything" Burnice said.

"It literally is a real crime" Lucy pointed her head in Burnice's direction for emphasis.

"Your house is on the outskirts of the city which is where we're headed. It's only a 6 minute detour so it's fairly realistic" Piper observed somewhat ignoring Caesar.

"Guys we're not going against my dad here. We could just go to an arcade" Caesar said.

Lucy started, "Caesar, I'm tired of spending all my nights studying. I want to go out and have a fun, drunk time with my besties. After spending all of winter break with my family I need this"

Burnice continued, "We all agree the drinking age is dumb anyways so it's not like any of us think it's wrong".

"We've done worse, more risky stuff before and this isn't exactly mission impossible. You're one of the most capable gals I know so if anyone can do it it's you, Caesar, all right?". Piper said.

Lighter added on. "Your father owns the machine in the first place so it's not like he'ill protest on moral grounds".

Lucy touched Caesar's hand, "Caesar, if you don't want to do this then you can just say so. We're always going to be the hottest group of gals around no matter where we are."

Burnice looked right at Caesar, "Are we in?"

"We're in"
