"She's been living with you?!" Mitsuba yelled.
Oh boy, this is uncomfortable.
I looked around shyly before looking back at him, "W-Well, not really. Yashiro's been staying at my house for a week. She couldn't go home looking the way she did," I tried explaining.
Name: Kou Minamoto
Age: 17
Luck: Just about out of that.
I took a deep breath as Mitsuba scolded me, as much as I wanted to deny it; he was right. I was wrapped around Yashiro's finger, but I wasn't sure if that was a bad thing or not.
I took a deep breath, "Ok, ok; it probably wasn't the best idea, but it was what I came up with at the time," I sighed.
Mitsuba: "Did you sleep with her?"
Kou: "N-No! Well… Yeah but! Just in the same bed,"
Mitsuba: "YOU WHAT?!"
Kou: "I-I! I slept next to her, not with her; in that way. S-She gets nightmares so would just I hold her at night,"
Mitsuba: *Pouts* "So you held her in bed?"
Kou: "Yeah, but not in a sex way; w-we're just best friends! So, I!"
Mitsuba: *Shrugs head and sighs*
Mitsuba sat down, "You're an idiot, I guess I can't be surprised with a lame ass traffic cop like you," he exhaled claiming down. It was odd, I'd never thought I would live to see the day where Mitsuba let go of an argument so easily.
"I can't be angry, it's not like we're dating or anything," he pouted pulling his legs in as his body relaxed. Mitsuba had a whole week to be angry until he finally ran out of fuel.
I sat down beside him.
Mitsuba took comfort in our closeness, making him feel more at ease. "You seem different, in a good way," I teased looking over at him. Mitsuba kept his head down, "Yeah, you do too; Kou," he whispered.
"Something's… Changed, hasn't it?" Mitsuba whispered hugging his legs. I took a deep breath and looked up at the cloudy sky. I smiled. "Yeah," I said in a peaceful tone as birds chirped.
Mitsuba: "Your feelings for me?"
Kou: "Hmmm, I still feel the same. I guess I'm not mad at you anymore. I still don't really know what we are, but I care about you a lot." *Mitsuba blushes*
Mitsuba: "Your feelings for Yashiro, did those change?"
Kou: "… Yeah."
Mitsuba: "Are you in love with Yashiro?"
Kou: "… Yeah."
Mitsuba: "… It hurts doesn't it? Falling for someone who's in love with someone else?"
Kou: "… Yeah."
Mitsuba: *Pouts* "Damn it! Stop saying 'Yeah,' can't you come up with something else to say?!
Kou: "Ah! Oh, yeah. I-I mean, sorry,"
Mitsuba couldn't help but crack a smile at my goofy face, he had missed it when I was gone.
"Sorry, Mitsuba," I apologized. "I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but it's just where I'm at right now," I sighed scratching my head.
Mitsuba blushed as I tugged at his fluffy cheek while he pouted, "Don't make that face, we're still friends, aren't we?" I asked and Mitsuba nodded his head slowly with soft eyes. "Good," I exhaled feeling relieved, setting my head down.
This is weird, the witty, cranky, fool mouthed Mitsuba seemed as cool as kittens and just as soft.
"You know what hasn't changed?" I mutter looking back at the sky. "What?" He asked. I closed my fist, "My hate, for Tsukasa," I stated looking back over to him. Yashiro had texted me that she'd be with Hanako, meaning Tsukasa was all alone.
Mitsuba smiled back at me, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Like on some bad-bitch revenge style ass kicking?" Mitsuba smirked. "Hell yeah,"
Tsukasa always liked it, the pitter-patter of rain.
The dark, gloomy sky as it cried. The cold air making every drop of frigid water hit like a dart on skin when it makes contact.
Blood.
It's dripping down too, Tsukasa falling backwards as he's kicked over and over. "Grove street bitch!" Mitsuba yelled.
"What the hell does that even mean?" Kou asked looking over to him. "Don't question it, you're breaking the fourth wall- ANYWAYS!" he yelled before punching Tsukasa once more.
Blood.
There was so much of it, but Tsukasa found it funny. The tables had turned, for once- he was the victim of someone else's rage; he was at their mercy.
Was this Karma, or Irony?
As he was kicked across the face, Tsukasa coughed violently; spitting out shattered teeth as Kou rolled him onto his back.
"Aren't you going to say something?! Aren't you going to apologize for what you did to Mitsuba and Hanako and Yashiro? Aren't you sorry for what you did to her?!" he screamed in a fit of anger as he held Tsukasa by the collar of his shirt.
He bit his lip as the beaten boy smiled.
"It feels good, doesn't it?" Tsukasa asked. Kou froze. "Hurting someone who's helpless," he smirked insanely. Kou's eyes opened wide with realization.
"You've never felt better, you feel strong; invincible- don't you? Me too, I like that feeling. I know it so well, and right now; you look just like me," Tsukasa teased before laughing. Tsukasa was right, Kou felt a type of darkness in his heart his parents had always, always warned him against.
"K-Kou," Mitsuba muttered. "Shut up," Kou said with a clear voice, making Mitsuba take a step back in fear as Kou threw Tsukasa onto the floor. Making him groan in pain as he hit the arm which wasn't yet healed, causing it to bleed as the stitches ripped.
For once, it was someone who made Tsukasa bleed the red blood he craved to see.
It's pouring.
The rain coming down so hard, the sound of anything else was nearly inaudible. Mitsuba and Kou looked down at the pathetic boy as he struggled to sit up. Covered in bruises, bleeding so much that even the rain couldn't wash it all away.
"Ahhhhh, the Irony." Tsukasa chuckled sitting up, Kou and Mitsuba glaring with dark eyes and expressionless faces. Kou didn't want to be like Tsukasa, he never wanted to be a monster.
The sound of jingling was masked by the rain.
Kou took out his staff and pointed it at Tsukasa, using it to lift the boy's blue chin as he shivered from the cold of the rain. "Haaaa, I like that face," Tsukasa admired staring at death itself. But the title of 'monster' was one Kou was willing to take, to rid the world of the plague who was Tsukasa.
He had to become a monster himself. With cold, dark eyes he stood unphased by the act he decided to commit. "I'm going to kill you, Tsukasa Yugi,"
