"Don't worry, Mary. Everything's going to be okay now." Yukina said as she tried to clean Mary up. She and Sandy stayed behind after Mary had her emotional breakdown. Being alone is the last thing Mary needs right now.

"I'm sure Maru and the others are going to take care of everything." Sandy assured, but Mary isn't sure what to think anymore. After how she acted towards all of them, Maru and the others are still willing to help her. Maru even gave her his precious locket as a sign that he considers her a friend and trusts her. Unable to not know what is happening now, Mary got up and hurried off. "Mary, wait!"

"Come back!" Yukina called as they both chased after her.

"Maru..." Mary muttered with her fearing what might happen, but had to see things with her own eyes.

Bronz's Place

Understandably, Maru is quite angry. It's time for Bronz's terror on Citrus Island is going to come to an end, and Maru is going to make sure of it. With everyone watching, he stood over Bronz after knocking him into a wall. Maru's magic is light, but he looks a little dark right now with how angry he is towards Bronz.

"Did you mention Mary?" Bronz questioned.

"Yeah. I'm going to make you answer for all the pain and suffering you put her through, not to mention what you did to her father." Maru said with him popping his knuckles.

"I don't know what your deal is, but you made a big mistake." Bronz said. He just simply snapped his fingers. Then, three guys with swords tried attacking Maru and was going to go for the kill.

"Maru, watchout!" Axel called, but Gin took care of it. He fired three shots and each one knocked those guys out. After that, Aster used his magic and caused spikes of crystal to shoot out of the ground and strike some of Bronz's men.

"What the hell?!" Bronz said as he was quite shocked to see that.

"You guys take care of those punks. I want the pleasure of beating Bronz down myself." Maru said.

"Not a problem." Gin said.

"We got this. You just take care of Bronz." Aster assured. After that, the two of them took on all of Bronz's forces so that Maru and Bronz can fight without anyone getting in their way.

"You think you can take me on?" Bronz questioned as he got back up. "Don't kid yourself. Allow me to show you that picking a fight with me ends up being the last mistake you ever make." He held out his arm and formed the boney spikes around his arm once again. "Bone Mace!" He tried attacking Maru with it as he tried swinging it around, but Maru tried to stay out of his reach. Maru gathered light around his fist and was able to smash it against Bronz. However, just before separating, Bronz's bones did manage to tear off Maru's sleeve. "Not bad, but try this." He retracted his bones and aimed with his fingers. "Phalange Digits!" The bones of his fingertips actually shot out from his fingers like bullets, but Maru moved around and tried avoid them.

"Did I see that right?" Gin questioned with him shooting down Bronz's men. "Did he just shoot the bones of his fingertips like bullets?" Aster kept fighting himself, but saw it himself yet noticed Bronz's fingers were perfectly normal.

"More like he replicated his fingertip bones so that he could shoot them." Aster said. "He really can make the bones of his body like a weapon. His magic really is terrifying." Bronz fired another round, but Maru rolled under his attack.

"Now I have you!" Bronz shouted as he tried smashing another attack on Maru, but Maru acted faster and smashed his against Bronz's side and knocked him back. The people of Citrus Island couldn't believe what they were seeing. After being mistreated by Bronz for so long, they didn't think there was stopping Bronz, but Maru is holding his own against him. However, Bronz is living up to his reputation with him enduring Maru's attacks.

"Not bad." Bronz said with him brushing it off. "I don't get what you're deal is, but..." Bronz stopped when he noticed was hidden under Maru's sleeve. He spotted his guild emblem. "Wait a minute. That's the same emblem Mary had on her hand. Are you part of that same guild?"

"Not just that. Mary's my friend, and I was the one that brought her to Phoenix Flame. Got a problem with that?" Maru said.

"Ha! Now I get it! You were hired to take me out!" Bronz said. "You had me baffled by that whole stuff you were spouting about Mary, but now I see that's just nice talk for what's really going on. How much are they paying you to try and get rid of me? I'm telling you that they can't pay very much since most of that money has gone to me." Having heard enough, Maru attacked Bronz again and hit him so hard that he was sent flying into the wall of his own building.

"This isn't about money! This is about what you've done to our friend!" Maru shouted. Bronz might have been hit rather hard, but he was still able to pull himself of there.

"Your friend?" Bronz questioned.

"They're not paying us at all to get rid of you, not a single cent." Maru said. "I want you off this island because you've tormented these people for a long time, and one of them happens to be Mary. They might not have been able to do anything about you, but we will. We're just simply doing what needs to be done, and it's the right thing." All of the islanders were amazed that Maru would do something like this just simply because he wanted to help them.

"Tsk... This is why I can't stand you guild wizards." Bronz said. "Not only are you goodie-goodies that stick your nose in other people's business, but you also put your skills up for sale to make profit when you can use them to just take what you want! These people are under my ruling because I made that happen, just like how I want to hurt you for getting on my nerves! You can throw all the punches you want at me and it won't help! A normal person surely would have a few broken bones after some punches like that, but that's another beauty of my bone magic. I can just simply repair any damage to my bones."

"You still feel pain." Maru claimed and that's all he needs to know to help take him down.

"You're the one that's going to feel pain!" Bronz claimed with him having another boney spike grow right out of his arm and tried stabbing Maru with it. Maru was able to evade it, but Maru smashed his foot against him and kicked Maru against a pillar. "Now die! Bone Spire!" He shot the bone spike right at Maru with it stretching right out of Bronz's arm. Trusting his instincts, Maru moved out of the way and it was a good thing he did because that bone was able to pierce through to the other side of the pillar.

"No way! Did you see that?!"

"That bone went right through the pillar!"

"Yikes! If Maru hadn't dodged that, he would have been in real trouble." Frank said.

"He's doing rather well, but one shot like that and it could be over." Axel said. Bronz had the bone retract into his arm. Maru looked to where the bone pierced through and noticed a perfect hole was right in it.

"That's crazy! That bone pierced through solid concrete and made a perfect circle! There's no crack, seam, or anything!" Maru said. Even he couldn't believe that a mere bone could do something like that.

"Now do you see? Why would I want to work for some pathetic wizard guild when I can use this power to just simply take whatever I want?" Bronz said. "I hope you had your affairs in order. This is where you're going to die." Maru could be in real trouble here, but he's not going to let Bronz walk all over him. He got back up and readied himself for another round.

"Move it! Out of the way! Let me through!" Finally reaching the place, Mary pushed through the crowd to see what was going on. When she finally reached the other side, she saw Maru facing off against Bronz. Yukina and Sandy followed after Mary and were able to get through themselves with them seeing what's going on.

"That's him! That's the guy that was behind all of this!" Yukina said.

"What are you waiting for?! Take him down already, Maru!" Sandy cheered.

"Maru..." Mary muttered. She's greatly worried on what might happen to him, but she also saw that Maru wasn't afraid of him.

"Crystal-Make: Emerald Hammer!"

"Cannon Blast!" Aster and Gin finished off the last of Bronz's men with their attacks. "That takes care of these losers."

"Bronz is all that's left. Let's leave that to Maru." Aster said with both of them having faith Maru can finish this. Bronz looked around and couldn't believe that his own men were actually defeated by mere wizard guilds.

"Those morons. How could we let a small group of wizard guilds get the better of us?" Bronz said. "Once again, I've got to do everything around here."

"Wrong. You're finished. Your time on this island is over, and Mary can finally live her life free of you." Maru said.

"Guess again!" Bronz shouted with him firing two boney spikes from both of his arms, but Maru rolled under them and charged right at him. Maru charged right at him straight down between those two bones, but Bronz was ready for something like that. Maru was right where he wanted him, but Mary saw what was coming.

"Maru, get out of there!" Mary called.

"Too late!" Bronz shouted. It was actually a trap he had set with him growing more of those spikes right from the bones that shot out of him. Apparently, he can create more bones out of the ones he's using to attack. They stretched out and tried to pierce Maru. Some of them actually did get him with him getting nicked and cut. Bronz thought he had Maru there, but Maru was able to push through.

"That's not going to stop me!" Maru shouted with him pushing through and getting right in Bronz's face. "Divine Hammer!" He smashed his fist right into Bronz and knocked the wind right out of him. "See?! You might be able to get some broken bones, but you can still feel pain! That's all I need to know to take you down!" Maru kept it going with him giving Bronz a powerful uppercut right in the jaw. After he did that, he smashed his fist right into Bronz's face and drove him right into the ground. "Solemn Strike!" He gave it one more touch and smashed his attack against Bronz so hard that the ground was breaking apart.

"Oh man... That looked like it had to hurt." Axel said.

"Did that finish it?" Frank said.

"I can't tell. Bronz can repair any damage to his bones." Tennet said. Mary was seriously hoping that was the end of it, but something in her was telling her differently. It seemed a little too easy to defeat Bronz.

"I wish I could bring back all the people you've killed. This is nothing compared to the harm you brought Mary, and who knows how many others." Maru said.

"Mary, what are you waiting for?! Now is your chance! Kill him while you still can!" Frank called. "He has to pay for all that he's done!"

"I understand why you would want that, but I can't do it." Maru claimed. "Doing that while he's down would make me no better than him. Despite all that he did, it's not really my place to decide whether he lives or dies."

"You should have listened to him!" Maru was surprised to see that Bronz was still conscious. He got back up and struck Maru right in the face and knocked him to the ground.

"Maru!" Mary called. Bronz went for the kill as he had boney spikes grow out of his knuckles and tried attacking Maru again, but Maru held up his hand and unleashed a bright light that blinded Bronz and caused him to miss. After that happened, Maru moved away and put some distance between them.

"This guy doesn't know when to quit." Maru complained. When Bronz's sight was restored, he looked around and saw everything he worked to obtain was coming apart, and it was all because of Phoenix Flame. That's what he thought until his eyes landed right on Mary.

"You..." Bronz growled with him greatly irritated and Mary starting to feel like that scared little girl she was when Bronz first came into her life. "This is all because of you, Mary. When I get finished with these bastards, I'm going to punish you severely for this."

"You stay away from her." Maru demanded as he kept himself between Bronz and Mary.

"You are making me angry. It's not a good idea to make me angry." Bronz warned.

"Give it your best shot. I'm not scared of you." Maru claimed.

"You'll see soon enough why you never should have crossed me." Bronz claimed. "I've played around long enough. It's time I get serious. I never thought I would have to use something like this on you, but this will have you learn the hard way why picking a fight with me was a big mistake! Clearly, these people also need a reminder of that. You will be an example of all of that as well." Sounds like Bronz was getting serious now. He had boney spikes grow out of both sides of his arm and curved around them, but it wasn't just there. He had the same kind of spikes growing out of his legs, thigh, shoulders, and even down his spine. "Reaper Bones." He now has bones emitting from various parts of his body like some sort of armor or like how porcupines have quills. Sounds like Bronz is getting serious, but Maru will have to break every single one of those bones if he has any hope of defeating Bronz.
