**Hey guys, it's been a fat minute. Really sorry about not posting. Just been really lazy amongst work and buying a house and soon to be selling and possibly buying a different one in the future. The story defiantly isn't dead. I have the majority of the story thought out and really just need to iron it out actually fully write it. Any way, I am going to start and try to be way more serious about writing and update sooner. Sorry again, I do hope you enjoy.**
Pyrrha slowly opened her eyes. She arched her back in a stretching manner. She pulled out her scroll and noticed an hour had passed since she fell asleep against the tree. Her thoughts went back to her recent event in Team RWBY's dorm. Her face blushed as she quickly pushed the thought away. Her thoughts quickly changed to her partner's gift.
'Should I just go and get it and bring it to him? That's what you do with a gift to the person you like; I should also confess to him when presenting it right? 'She thought to herself as she paced around the tree arguing to herself," But shouldn't the mood be a bit more romantic, I've never confessed to a guy before… oh how should I' She thought as she was interrupted.
"Hey Pyrrha!" Nora yelled in her ear.
"Wahhh!" Pyrrha yelled in surprise as she fell on her butt.
"Jeez Nora! Why did you have to scare me like that? "Pyrrha asked her friend.
"Hehe sorry Pyrrha, I just saw you so focused I thought it would be fun to pull a little prank" Nora said as she helped Pyrrha back up.
"What's got you so distracted anyway, didn't think it would be easy to sneak up on you." Nora explained.
"I-I was just thinking how I should give Onyx his gift. Ruby told me it was ready and just didn't know how to give it to him," She explained.
"Pyrrha, you're overthinking it. Just give it to him. "Nora said as she playfully hit her arm.
"Well I was planning on telling Onyx how I feel and… I just didn't know if there was a better way of doing that if that makes sense. I have never felt this towards another guy and just didn't want to make a fool of myself," Pyrrha said with a shy smile while scratching her neck.
" .Gosh! A love declaration gift! Come on let's go, I'm going to help you with this'' Nora said as she clenched Pyrrha's hand with a vice grip and dragged her along.
"No-Nora what are you doing?!" Pyrrha stammered out.
"Don't worry, I have a plan. Ren will even help!"Nora exclaimed as she texted Ren the plan and dragged Pyrrha back to their dorm.
Onyx was sitting at the desk in his room. He looked over the finalized notes he had been writing after getting confirmation on the location for the White Fang that was supposed to happen that night. The only thing left was getting his team on board and implementing their skill into the plan.
'Ren would be great if Grimm decided to show, also has great reflexes incase of a surprise situation, and is also good at tactical decisions. I Should put him with Nora to mitigate her going on a rampage, stealth is key' He thought as he clicked his pen, 'Nora would be great artillery support, especially since it shouldn't be hard to bunch them up in case this all goes south, let's hope it doesn't. 'He thought.
'Pyrrha would then be with me to cover my back as she's a crack shot with her rifle. Also very quick on her feet in case close quarters becomes a necessity" Onyx thought as he stopped clicking his pen as he focused his thoughts on Pyrrha.
He smiled at just the thought of her. Her beautiful smile, her deep emerald eyes and fiery red hair. He chuckled to himself as he grabbed his locket.
"Bet you would tell me to stop being an idiot and just ask her already, right mom?" He said as he chuckled at himself, "Well better go-," He was interrupted by his door flying open.
"Oh hey Pyrrha, Nora. I was just abou-... Pyrrha, why does Nora have that evil grin on her face?" Onyx asked as they closed the door and he heard a click.
"Why did you lock the door?" Onyx asked as the two stepped closer very slowly, "Why do you two have rope?" Onyx asked.
Onyx nerves were sending off alarms in his head as he quickly stood up and jumped on his desk and backed to the window; until he felt his back bump into something. He turned around and saw a smiling Ren.
"Ren! Why are you on the windowsill? "Onyx asked, his nerves skyrocketing.
"Nothing personal Onyx" Ren said with a smile as he and the two other teammates dogpiled Onyx.
"What are you guys do- humph!" Onyx yelled as he was cut off and blackness surrounded his eyes.
"Okay… who wants to explain why I'm blindfolded and have my hands and feet tied behind my back and currently on a Bullhead?"Onyx asked calmly.
"That is a surprise, Onyx," Pyrrha replied.
"Have you finally decided to sell me for money?" Onyx asked jokingly
"I guess you'll have to wait and see," Pyrrha replied with a giggle.
"Can you at least untie my feet and hands? This is getting uncomfortable" Onyx said while wiggling his limbs.
"I guess we can'' Pyrrha said as she got up and started to untie him, "But you will leave the blind fold on, got it Onyx?" She quietly whispered into his ear.
"Fine fine, but whose idea was this? I didn't think of you as a girl with a kidnapping fetish Pyrrha" Onyx said with a chuckle.
Pyrrha's face flushed as she tightened the binds on Onyx, "What was that Onyx?" She asked with a smile.
"Heh Heh, nothing...Now if you could re-untie the binding again, I would really appreciate it" Onyx said nervously.
Pyrrha gave a smirk as she let the binding fall to the ground. Onyx stretched his hands and feet as he adjusted his position next to Pyrrha.
"Sooo...Nora. Want to explain to me how you convinced my own partner to go along with one of your plans?" Onyx asked calmly.
"Wh-what are you talking about Onyx. I would never do-" She cut herself off as Onyx's head snapped towards her voice and gave her a void stare.
"Ahhh! It wasn't my fault Pyrrha wanted to hmpff!" Nora was cut off by Pyrrha covering her mouth from spilling the surprise.
"I can explain it all once we get to where we are going, Onyx. Just please be patient, okay?" Pyrrha asked with a plea.
"Okay Pyrrha, I trust you" Onyx replied with a smile of understanding.
She gave a smile and sat back down next to him.
"Oh and Ren?" Onyx asked.
"Yes Onyx?" Ren replied curiously.
"Nora is to be cut off from Pancakes for two weeks" Onyx replied
"WAHHH! You can't do that! Ren, tell him he can't do that!" Nora said in a panicked voice.
" Of Course Onyx. You are our leader" Ren said with an amused smile.
"NOOO! You have betrayed me!" Nora bellowed as she slumped over in defeat as the other three just gave an amused laugh over her reaction.
Team OPNR was walking the streets of Vale as Pyrrha led them to a certain weapon shop. They had been walking for ten minutes as they took their final turn onto the street. They walked up to a newer looking shop with freshly painted bricks and a brand new sign.
"Well this is the place, let's go guys" Pyrrha said as she led the three into the shop.
With a ding of the door bell a bigger man turned to them, "Ah welcome you four. What Can I do for you?" The shop owner asked.
"I'm here for a pick up, order number 09272000?" Pyrrha asked.
"Ah yes, I will be right back" The older man said as he left the four.
"So can I take this blindfold off yet?" Onyx asked.
"Not yet, just wait a little bit longer, Onyx" Pyrrha said with a smile.
Onyx sighed as he slowly tapped his foot waiting. About a minute later the man came back with a box.
"That will be Three Thousand Lien," He said with a smile.
Pyrrha gave a smile and handed the money to the man, "Thank you sir, this will be all" Pyrrha said.
"Okay, thank you for stopping by. Please come again!" The man said loudly with a smile.
As the group left the store, Onyx stopped and turned in Pyrrha's direction.
"So Pyrrha, what in the world did you buy that cost so much money?" Onyx asked with curiosity.
"Well, now that I have it. Hold out your arms Onyx" Pyrrha said with a smile.
He followed as he held his arms out. He felt a slight heavy box shaped object in his arms. He heard footsteps as the blindfold was taken off. He looked at the box in his arms. He saw a brand new sword, a shield and a slim quiver.
"This is for you Onyx" Pyrrha said with a heartfelt smile
"Pyrrha...You didn't hav-" He was cut off as she placed a finger on his lips to silence him.
"Onyx. Yes I didn't have to get this for you. I wanted to though. It worries me every time I see you just using your semblance. You tire out because of it and I don't want you to get caught off guard because you used too much and you get seriously hurt because of it" Pyrrha said as she removed her finger.
Onyx gave her a small smile as pink flushed his face.
"Thank you Pyrrha. It really means a lot to know you care for me so much" He said as he gave her a bright smile.
"We-well of course. We are partners and such so why wouldn't I...anyway why don't you check it out" She said with a flushed face.
He picked up the sword and looked it over. It had a grey handle that led to the actual steele. He flipped a little switch and the sword transformed into a bow. Onyx's eyes widened as he smiled. He attached the quiver to his back strap as he noticed sixteen arrows. It had Four Fire, Electricity, Gravity and Ice dust tipped arrows. He pulled his shield from the box and placed it on his forearm. The shield had a simple cross in the middle and on the back a simple port for dust. He slid in one of the Ten Hard light dust he had into it. He flicked it and the shield folded around his forearm into a slim forearm guard.
"Pyrrha...Thank you. This is an amazing gift." He said to her with a smile.
"Oh, well you know I just didn't want you to accidentally tire yourself out and be left vulnerable you know" She replied with a sweet smile.
"Thanks for looking out for me Pyrrha, it's great to know you care a lot for me" Onyx replied with his own smile.
The two stared into each others eyes as it felt like time was slowing down. For Onyx he felt like he had been staring into her eyes for a milenia and could have stared more if not for Ren.
"Um guys," Ren said.
Onyx and Pyrrha were both pulled from their trance and focused on Ren.
"REN! What the heck, they were so closssse!" Nora whined.
"Oh uh, sorry Nora" Ren said as he scratched the back of his head.
"Ughhh! Men" Nora stated.
"Anyway, Onyx. Before you were tactically acquired-" Ren was interrupted.
"Kidnapped" Onyx said
"Ah yes that. You were talking about telling us something?" Ren inquired.
"Oh yes, I almost forgot. Follow me, I know a great place to have this talk" Onyx said as he began to lead the group, unbeknownst to him, Pyrrha's face grew a saddened smile as she followed him.
The group walked for about five minutes till they came to a familiar building to two in the group.
"Erika's Café?" Nora questioned.
"Yea, it's an amazing place to relax and just talk ya know. Pyrrha should remember this place, right?" He asked.
" Oh yea. I quite enjoyed this place, "she said with a smile.
Nora gave her an all knowing grin to Pyrrha as she sheepishly smiled back at her as they walked in.
" Hallo, willkommen to- Onyx, Pyrrha" Said the waitress as she looked at the other two, "Nora and Ren? What are you all doing here?" Asked a smiling familiar bunny-eared girl.
"Velvet? Since when do you work here?" Asked Onyx.
"Oh uh, today's actually my first day. Needed some extra cash and it's Faunas friendly. I'm actually almost done with my shift and it looks like you four will be my last customers. Anyway, please follow me to your table" Velvet explained as she led the four to a table next to a window.
"What would you all like to order?" She asked with a smile.
"Could you just get a tray of sandwiches and a Green tea for me please?" Onyx said.
"I'll take a hot coco please, Velvet" Pyrrha said with a smile.
"I will take Green tea as well," Ren said.
"Ohhh do you guys have a milkshake?" Nora asked as Velvet gave a nod, " Oh give me a big milkshake with everything!" Nora chimed happily.
Velvet giggled at Nora's antics and finished writing the orders down.
"I will bring them out when they are ready, guten tag!" Velvet said happily with a large smile.
"So, guys I have a proposition for you" Onyx said, getting all eyes on him.
"Well, what is it Onyx?" Pyrrha asked.
"So I ran into a group of White Fang back when we were at Forever Falls. I caught them with Torchwick who was talking about some type of meeting happening in the emerald forest. Now it is usual gang style activity to meet in hidden locations, but this one they are capturing beowolfs" He explained and everyone's eyes went wide in surprise. "I wasn't able to hear what they were doing it for, but torchwick stealing dust and now capturing Grimm with the white fang? This can't be something that gets ignored and the meetup is happening tonight. "Onyx said.
The other 3 all looked into thought and agreed as Nora broke the silence, "Anyone have an idea of what it could possibly be?" She asked and Ren replied, "Well, The dust makes sense with its uses. You can resell it, use it, but Grimm…..I-I just can't put my mind on it" Ren said as he sighed.
"Well, whatever it is needs to be stopped or at least figured out. I say we do it" Pyrrha said with a smile and Nora jumped up, "I agree! Fearless leader Onyx I am at your command!" She said with excitement.
Onyx smiled, "Great, I am glad to have you guys as my team. Remember, this is to be kept to us for now. We find something bigger, then we can think to tell people above us" He said as everyone agreed and were interrupted by Velvet dropping the food off, "Here you guys are, please enjoy!" She said happily and left and all 4 began eating.
20 minutes a eating and laughing the group started to make there way to the Bullhead pads and Pyrrha was standing slightly close to Onyx without realizing until she bumped into him, "Oh, sorry Onyx, must have been lost in thought" She said as she looked away embarrassed and Onyx smiled, "It's okay Pyrrha, I don't mind" He said as he playfully bumped her back and chuckled which made Pyrrha giggle.
"So, do you think we will find anything worthwhile tonight Onyx?"She asked and Onyx was in thought as he walked, "I think there may be something and if there is, expect there to be people guarding it" Onyx said with a more serious tone.
Pyrrha nodded her head, "Yeah, hopefully they won't be too much trouble… just make sure your careful Onyx" Pyrrha said softly with a hint of worry and Onyx gave her a reassuring smile, "Of course Pyrrha, We will all be fine ... .Plus I have you watching my back. I wouldn't want anyone else" He said with a charming smile.
Pyrrha blushed as she smiled back and thought for a second and slowly snaked her hand with Onyx and caused his eyes to widen and face to blush, but didn't stop her. She had a mental sigh of relief and walked with Onyx with their hands intertwined. They all reached the bullhead soon after and got on and landed at Beacon and walked to their dorm and started to prepare. 10 minutes later they all stood next to the window and Onyx looked at them all.
"Everyone have everything?" He asked and everyone nodded and Onyx spoke again, "Okay, we leave from the window and get to the forest quickly. Be on the lookout for any Grimm. Ren I want you to cover us with your semblance as we make it through the forest until we get to the meetup. After that I will get a better layout of the area and we will go from there. Remember, this is not sanctioned by beacon nor does Ozpin know about this. Watch each other's backs and we all will come back after this unharmed" He said as Ren nodded and Nora fist bumped and Pyrrha strapped her weapons and shield to herself, 'Lets go" Onyx said and all 4 left through the window.
