(Vilman)

I watched all three rookies and the E.O.T. run around doing their respective jobs. Misha, who had finished transmuting the boulder, was doing basic analyses on the captured werewolf with Heil. Uliana was sitting against a tree while holographic screens displayed in front of her as they showed all her mosquito drone feeds. Josiah, well, since nothing really attacked us when they've been trying to locate the natives, he's taken to slacking off a bit.

"Holy shit, these fuckers are everywhere." Exclaimed Uliana in disbelief, getting Heil's attention.

"What do you mean?" He said, walking over to view Uliana's feed.

"The natives here are fucking human. Human! I get that humanoid shapes are common, but I swear if it isn't an insectoid-type body or reptilian-type, it's a sapiens-type one. And even then, humanoid types at least have a different trait. But these, they're basic fucking humans!" Complained Uliana.

"Doesn't matter, make your mosquito drones get blood samples from them for R . Target the adult first, then get the ones with... hold up are those fucking animal ears?" He said, getting closer to the screen to ensure he saw exactly that.

"Hey, you're right. Look! That guy has some horns, and that girl over there with a bow doing a horrible job hiding her cat ears." Heil would look at the said girl with the oversized black bow and slowly turn his head over to Uliana with a questioning gaze.

"What? How can you tell?" He questioned.

"In honest truth, I was just joking. But I could swear every time my drones flew close to her head, the bow would twitch. I'm still surprised the half-beast folk exist on this planet. I wonder how they managed to evolve into those traits." She said with genuine curiosity.

"Well, if you're curious enough, you can ask R once they get results-"

"SHIT! IT'S A DIVINE CONSTRUCT!" The sudden exclamation got everyone's attention. Especially mine; if this world harbors divine entities, I must take over as the lead Elder rather than my E.O.T. if higher powers are involved.

Rushing to Josiah's side, I asked him to explain. "What do you mean It's a divine construct?" I knelt by the werewolf's side to examine it to see if it wasn't just an error.

"It is as I say, Elder Vilman. This thing is artificial in making, but I also sense a small amount of divine energy from it. Not only that, but it is also unnatural. Look here at the hand." Looking over to the hand he was speaking of, I see that it was now cut off, but rather than showing any sort of vessels, blood, or anything you would see in a normal animal, it was all red, not like pure muscle or flesh red, just unnaturally red. "You see no bones, tissue, blood, nothing: it's a complete construct. Trust me; using magic to make a type of construct like this is something no normal species can make. At least not one where there's no magic in the air. I bet we can. But anything other than a god? No. You must be at least like them to know how to make them work."

"Alright, it's hard to make, but how is it divine?" I asked as he just explained everything but the most concerning part.

"Oh, right, shit. So, using a spell to see its makeup, I found it to be divine by nature. Though it is on the weaker side, it's nothing to scoff at."

"Hm, screw setting up a C.D.R. open a tear to the Crossing and make R begin research on this thing immediately. Hell, every construct we come by is to be captured alive for study by R ." I then looked at the rest of the group. "You hear that everyone? Capture and restrain as many of these constructs as possible. If you have to kill some, then kill them, but prioritize keeping them alive overall."

"""" Yes, Elder!"""" All four of them said at the same time.

"Good, Misha, do a spell to see if the god that made it is still around. Heil, you can have your crew back." I then went back to spectating them.

"Alright, you heard everyone!" Shouted Heil, regaining control of his small group. "Misha, before you cast the spell, throw the werewolf construct into the Crossing, then cast it." Misha would nod and quickly do what was told of him. "Uliana, get as many blood samples as possible from those half-beast folk and the humans here. Notify us if they get too close to our location. Josiah... well, we don't got much use for you other than lookout, so continue on."

"Damn way to make me feel important." He deadpanned.

"Cry me a river."

"Shit, four of the natives are heading our way!" Cried out Uliana, but simultaneously, a blast of magic went over us and expanded rapidly.

"Misha! You revealed our location!" Heil yelled, causing Misha to shrink a bit.

"Sorry."

"Fuck it, we got our stuff already. Uliana, you got eyes in the sky, so lead the way out for us while avoiding the natives."

"Can I have my sword back?" Her only response was Heil crossing his arms. "Fair enough, let us go."

(Meanwhile, in different parts of Remnant)

Glynda Goodwitch and many of her students saw a black misty fog quickly rush towards her and her students. She didn't have time to block it before it harmlessly passed over her and her students.

"What was that?" Said a Blonde student named Yang.

"I do not know. But whatever it was, we shouldn't treat it lightly. Keep your guard up, students. Something tells me this won't be a normal field trip."

"Yeah, I kinda guessed with the black smoke going over us." Said the red-dressed student named Ruby. Though her saying that made Glynda squint at her. "Sorry."

(Beacon Tower)

Ozpin was doing his normal duties as headmaster of Beacon, like paperwork, arranging meetings, trips, drinking unhealthy amounts of coffee, and more. But suddenly, the whole place would shake, and species of paper would be thrown off. Not only that, but a black, misty fog quickly passed through him. But what he sensed from the fog made his eyes widen in surprise. When the misty fog passed over him, he turned to see it still expanding quickly and heading for the city. But one word of disbelief came from his mouth at the black misty fog.

"Magic."

(Random warehouse)

Cinder was discussing the next steps of her plans with her two subordinates, Torchwhick and his companion, and the white fang member. Suddenly, their room shook as a black misty fog phased through them harmlessly. But cause everyone to react.

"What was that!?" Yelled out Torchwick.

"I do not know." Said Cinder slowly. But the feeling was different, and she faintly knew what it was because she had a small connection to magic. "But I feel like things are about to change."

"For good or bad?" He asked. But he received no reply, causing him to sigh and have his companion put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

(Grimmlands)

Salem was in her tower waiting for new news from her subordinates until she saw a black misty fog quickly phase through the walls and move toward her. Reacting quickly, she used her magic to make a magical wall, only to destroy it easily and faze harmlessly over her. Salem looked back as it continued through her castle and phased out of the walls. She knew that feeling, magic. But never has Salem felt that kind of magic before. Calling for her seer Grimm, she immediately contacted someone.

"I guess you're contacting me about the fog that just went through the world, your grace?" said a formally spoked man named Watts.

With a small squint of her eyes, she responds. "Yes."

(Random encampment)

Raven and her tribe had just returned from a successful raid on a village and were currently celebrating. Suddenly, a black misty fog quickly surrounds her encampment while phasing harmlessly over her tribe members and her. But the feeling. She could tell it was magic. And it definitely wasn't from Ozpins.

(Misha)

"... Shit... I got lost." I rubbed the back of my hand as I looked around to try and see where the rest went. But to no avail. "*Sigh* This is what I get for getting distracted with random shit." I turned my head to a red crystal sticking out from a boulder. "Still, though, to find crystalized magic here of all places. Best if I take a sample for R ." Using my magic, I carefully extracted the crystals without using any tools before sending them into the hammer space storage. "R will definitely be happy. You don't usually get naturally forming crystals like these. Especially with no noticeable magic in the air."

Suddenly, there would be a gasp behind me, and I would quickly turn around, summoning my staff into my hands. "Shit." Standing in front of me was a native.

He is a teenage boy of average height and a slender build, and his head is shaved with a light-green mohawk. The boy wears a shirt whose sleeves were crudely cut off and two pea-green bracers on his arms extending from the wrist to just below the elbow. He also wears a brown strap around his chest holding a spiked spaulder to his left shoulder. He also wears dark-gray pants.

I stood still as I waited to see what the boy would do. Will he choose fight or flight? Either way, I must take him with me since he saw me. The boy's response was flight as he quickly turned to try and run. But slamming my staff on the floor, a black spiked wall appeared in front of his exit route.

(Russel 3rd person)

When Russel saw the strange creature, he didn't know what to do except gasp in surprise. This was a mistake as the thing quickly turned to face him as a strange staff manifested on its right hand. Russel stood frozen as he stared into the creature's unnerving face. It had a permanent smile with two deep red orbs acting as eyes staring into his soul. The thing didn't move as it eyed him curiously, seeming to take in his appearance.

'Damn you, Cardin, and suggesting to split up to find that astriod quicker!' Russel mentally cursed. Having no idea what this creature could do, Russel decided the best course was to run and call for backup. But as he turned to run, a wall of black spikes appeared before him, blocking his exit.

"Shit." He cursed. Turning around, he took out his weapon, Shortwings. A pair of short, curved daggers with a revolving chamber mechanism built into the hilt of each dagger. "Fine, then bring it on you smiling bitch!" As he had no choice but to fight this thing, Russel charged at the thing with impressive speed. With a war cry, Russel swung his daggers at the thing with no effect as it seemed to doge each attack flawlessly, even parrying some of his strikes with its own hand without getting cut.

The more Russel continued to attack, the more aggravated he started to feel. With each attack he threw at it, it lazily dodged each one. It was acting like he wasn't even worth the energy. Hell, it hasn't even thrown an attack of its own yet. Merely observing his desperate strikes. Deciding to surprise the thing, he spun in the air to build up speed as he launched himself at it, which managed to catch it by surprise. Feeling his feet land on the thing's chest, he dropped, kicked it with all the force he built up from his spin, and launched it back a few feet back.

He heard the thing growl before it let out a piercing and alien scream as its face opened up, showing what looked to be a skinned face that had no lips, causing Russel's face to go green a bit. Slamming its staff on the floor, many boulders formed in the air and were quickly launched at him. With a yelp, Russel flipped out of the way of the boulder and ran around it, making sure it wasn't hit by a stray boulder.

Seeing an opening, he dashed forward to strike, only for the thing to snap its finger twice at him, and he felt a painful force slam into him twice. Letting out a cry of pain, he rolled around before coming to a stop. He felt his arua take a heavy blow; whatever that thing hit him with, it hurt a lot. Shakily got up and saw the thing pacing back and forth. Waiting for his prey to get back up.

"You bastard! You think you scare me!" Grabbing his dagger, he activated the mechanisms in his blade, and soon, his daggers were engulfed in flames. The only reaction he got was the thing tilting its head in curiosity. With another war cry, he dashed forward with the creature doing the same. Unluckily, it was faster as it struck first with its knee, causing him to hunch over. The thing grabbed his shirt and lifted him up to its face. It opened its face again, letting out an unearthly scream before closing it and proceeding to repeatedly headbutt quickly. It did one last hard slam with its head before it finally broke his aura, causing blood to spurt out of his nose and knocking him onto the floor with a painful groan.

Looking up from the floor, the creature tilted its head in curiosity again as it probably saw his aura shatter. But still having a bit of a fight, Russel threw one of his daggers at it. Only for it to be easily caught by the creature. It looked at his blade, back at him, and back at his blade. It did that a few times before it shrugged its arm, almost like trying to say, 'Are you serious?'

(Misha)

I looked at the blade the boy threw at me. In fact, I was greatly curious about this blade. Essentially, it used what looked to be powered magic. But also, it was stupid to throw your weapon at the enemy, which seemed to dawn on the boy as he began to crawl away in pain. Another curious thing I discovered in our fight was the boy's resilience. He had some forcefield around his body or something that made him more durable. I may have been holding back a lot, but even then, most of my hits were meant to easily down any normal person. If they weren't enhanced by their own biology or, in this case, a forcefield.

But whatever the boy had, it seemed to have shattered, literally. Approaching the boy's side as he crawled away, he noticed my approach and seemed to beg something in his native language. "Gonna have to get Uliana to translate their language quickly soon." Raising my staff, I swiftly and quickly sent the boy into dreamland. Basically, I knocked him the fuck out. I picked up the boy's daggers and transmitted them into the hammer space storage.

Hearing hurried footsteps, I cursed and picked up the boy's body before rushing out of there. I heard a native call out, but I'm certain they didn't catch a full glimpse of me.

(Cardin)

"Hey!" Cardin called out, but it was too late. A red and white blur rushed out of the clearing, and he heard Russel scream and another inhuman scream. "After it!" he said to his other team as they tried to rush towards their captured teammate. But it was for naught as they quickly lost the trail of whatever took Russel.

"FUCK! SHIT!" He cursed angrily, kicking a rock in anger before clenching it in pain.

"What do we do, man? Whatever that blur was, it took Russel," questioned Dove.

"... We tell Ms. Goodwitch the news. We can do nothing now that we lost the trail of whatever took Russel. Let's just hope for the best." With a mournful nod from his two teammates, they tracked back to where they came from.

(Vilman)

"Opp found him. He's heading in our direction now. Oh, hey, he's carrying a native over his shoulder. How nice of him." Uliana said casually.

"What!" Quickly appearing next to Uliana's side, Heil saw through Ulianas mosquito drone feed, and he indeed saw Misha carrying an unconscious native. "Oh, that Houdini mother fucker, he better have a good explanation, or he's getting it."

I couldn't help but huff in amusement at the nickname. When Misha did show up, his explanation wasn't really satisfactory to Heil, and he ended up riddled with bullets and had his body dragged by Uliana.

"Why do I get to carry him?" She whined.

"You are still in trouble, so you're our pack mule while Misha is dead until we revive him. Got it?" He said sternly, which he received a whiney 'Fine'. "Damn, brat."

And so we continued through the forest for a few days Until we reached the outskirts of the city Uliana had mentioned when Misha had disappeared. Looks like their training truly begins now.

Welp thats a wrap. In honest truth I feel really proud about this chapter. I feel like I did the fight scene some good. Not perfect but definitely an improvment. Sadly no maiming this chapter. Really did want to though, but it simply didn't fit Misha's character. Unlike Uliana or Josiah he knows how to hold back. Uliana will go berserk and would tear Russels face off and Josiah would accidentally posion him with his bullets once he broke his Arua. Either way looks like my charcter are finally reaching the big city of Vale! I wonder what changes they will make, or maybe what miracles they'll perform?
